Tsunade was still flash-frozen standing around while he listened to Jiraiya and what happened to their teacher. Before she took a good look at Naruto.
"You said that you wanted me to help your grandfather? Sarutobi clan members don't have blonde hair and …"
She was interrupted by Naruto raising his voice. "Uzumaki Naruto, that is my name and the Hokage was one of the only persons to give me some kind of love while living in this village. So he is my Jiji now, a Jiji that as far as I came to understand summoned you. A summon you tried to ignore that would mark you a missing-nin even with your privileges."
Again the seasoned veteran was speechless and could not come up with an answer, it was the truth so what could she say? Trying to divert the attention. "You said he was poisoned and you managed to get the most potent venoms out thanks to a seal. That is intriguing. Did not know that seals would be able to do that."
Naruto nodded quickly ignoring the diversion willingly. "You knew Mito-obachan. You knew what she could do with seals, I mean we are related, you should know that seals are only limited by the creativity of the user."
Tsunade slowly nodded realizing that he had spoken true to his words. She would have to look into that topic, maybe even with him. She could help her Sensei, and maybe overcome her fear of blood. For now, she would have to focus on her former teacher. Going into a full doctor mode she was instructing Shizune to get supplies while looking at Naruto. "Okay, I will take over from here on out. We have to talk regarding the seals topic though."
Naruto gave her a nod.
"Just visit me in the old Uzumaki Compound." With that, he gave his Sensei a short nod and disappeared. Only for Tsunade to look at Jiraiya again. "Don't say a word Jiraiya."
Not known for his restraint the white-haired Toad-summoner joked. "It is really funny that you got beaten by a bit more than a child Hime…"
It was sure that he wanted to say more but a Chakra-laced punch threw him through the wall and straight into the sky.
"Ahh. That was refreshing. Oh, Shizune find someone to fix that wall, wouldn't you?" Tsunade began to smile for the first time in many years she had a small smile on her face as she began to work on the preparation for the operation.
The next days were a rush for the citizens of Konoha. First, the announcement that the loyal Sannin were back in the village. The Sandaime had awoken out of his coma but it was clear that his body was declining.
In a closed meeting, Hiruzen had convinced Tsunade to take over. It looked like the beginning of a new era. Tsunade Senju would not take over immediately, the Sandaime would prepare her for some months while he still would handle the village till she would finally take over in approximately six months.
This time was something Tsunade requested officially to learn the craft but some higher-ups knew that she was working on reforms. One of them was the forced medical classes for Genin and new Team constellations for Chunin and above teams.
While the village handled the new addition very well, Naruto visited Yakumo and even Lee.
Yakumo still was a bit weary but began to trust him more with each visit. Lee who had recovered very well after he was sabotaged complained a bit about the missed opportunity to show off his flames of youth but the spars with Naruto had somehow cheered him up. What Lee did not know was that Naruto and Tsunade began researching the possibility of artificial or supporting chakra networks with the application of seals.
When Tsunade was not needed in the Hokage Office she and Naruto pondered over full-body models of the Chakra network. Tsunade was surprised as she met Haku in the compound but after a short explanation and a side comment, she accepted her presence. Naruto decided against introducing her to the others for the moment.
Karin was completely focused on preparing for the move to Uzushio in the next weeks. Even Hatsumi would come back to help. Narutos' promotion was upheldby the Hokage so he wore his Chunin vest over his usual attire. Hokage and Successor had gone over everything again and even promoted Shikamaru for his leadership qualities that Asuma had reported. Ino and Hinate would be considered for field promotion or the next exams. They had explained it to them because they still would have to show strength to the other villages so they made the same deal with them as they did with Naruto.
Team Seven like the other Genin Teams even with the promotions had to take over C-Ranks Naruto just sent out Uzu Bunshin, he had bigger nuts to crack. First and foremost figure out a way to stimulate the chakra network with seals or just build an artificial one altogether.
Secretly Naruto had invited Hinata to his research sessions and after getting a bit more understanding he had a solid idea so he sat with her and Lee at a training ground.
"Thank you two for coming and hearing me out guys, means a lot to me that you trust me this much" Naruto started.
Lee sat in the Lotus Position while Hinata had decided to use the traditional seiza but tilted sideways for more comfort. Giving Naruto a thumbs up and a bright smile. "I appreciate being included in this Naruto. Shows me your flames of youth even more."
Hinata giggled at her senpai's antics before she looked at Naruto for an explanation even if she was very sure what he wanted to do. Naruto caught her eyes and nodded shortly after. "Well, the reason I invited you here is to try something that could let us say fan your flames even brighter Lee. I love our spars, I mean we can open the gates and give it our all but there is one thing that since I learned about the gates that just grinds my gears."
"And what is that Naruto-kun? If it lowers your flames we have to get rid of it." Lee answered with the passion of his Sensei bleeding through.
"The gates are limiters for our chakra network. I know that you told me that you could not use chakra like most of us do but you can use the gates. For the record even better than me, so if the gates are regulating chakra and you can use the gates you should have a network I can work with."
Lee listened closely and nodded. "Yeah, but the doctors said it is cribbled beyond repair or something"
"Yeah, the same doctors that needed Tsuande Senju to cure the poisoning of our Kage. What I want to say they are not omniscient. I am not either. However, I did some research together with Hinata-chan and I think I found a way, thanks to the study sessions I had with Tsunade, that could help us repair your network. Would you be open for Hinata to look at your Network and for me to draw some seals on you that maybe could help? The worst that could happen would be small pains till I erased them again."
Lee looked at both of them before he started crying anime tears. "You are... such youthful friends. Hinata-san, Naruto-kun. I had given up hope to be able to use Ninjutsu for the longest time, and just trained myself to the bones to be a strong Tai-Jutsu Master like Gai-Sensei, but even Gai-sensei can do Jutsu. So. If it could help what are some slight pains and burns"
Hinata smiled friendly at Lee at his declaration and after a short look from Naruto activated his Byakugan. "Let me see. Okay, the Pathways look very small and underdeveloped like you expected Naruto-kun. But, they are existent."
Motivated by the first successful test Naruto had Lee standing straight while Hinata pointed out his gates. Naruto marked them with a seal that would just bleed through Lee's bodysuit so he had the exact placement for later. The seal he wanted to inscribe was a byproduct of the research he did to get rid of Tayuyas Juin.
With the Locations marked some of Naruto's clones transformed into a privacy screen while Hinata deactivated her eyes and looked away. She was blushing a bit at Naruto's offer to blindfold her with special cloth but after some comments from Lee, they had agreed to do it this way. Inside the screen, Lee's Upper body was completely free and the Positions for the gates three to seven were marked. Those gates mostly controlled the chakra network a human would use so Naruto began to draw his seals over the locators. He had to do them step-by-step because each seal would cover Lee's body before shrunken down and activated. After three gruelling overs of inscribing seals, the three sat together again.
Hinata had her Dojutsu back active and looked at Lee giving Naruto a thumbs up. "Okay, Lee. I will activate them from top to bottom you should feel a constant tingling that washes over you like a wave." After Lee gave another nod that he understood but looked very excited at the same moment Naruto started the process. The seals began to activate and as he had told Lee the tingling started. Naruto was sitting in a Lotus position what was luckily covered by his clothing were the markings that started to develop on him as he had his hand on Lee's head.
Hinata gasped as she looked at both of them. It looked like Naruto was drawing in Chakra from the outside. The chakra had a farm and caring feel to the Hyuuga Princess as he transferred minuscule amounts of it to Lee where the Seals over the gates absorbed the chakra. Hinata could not explain what happened then but the chakra was slowly pushing from the gates into Lee's cripplednetwork.
For Hinata, it looked like the chakra was smoothing down the lanes like a lubricant would do before it stretched the pathways. This critical part was why she was here to monitor. First Naruto thought about asking Tsunade but, Hinata had very pure Eyes. While Nejis eyes had a far better range she could see the chakra pathway very clearly.
"Looks good Naruto-kun but you maybe should slow down a bit to not risk the progress," she commented.
Naruto was concentrating on reaching the meditative state he needed to draw in nature's chakra like he had been told. He needed to focus on it very heavily because he was not finished with his training. Luckily the way he had been trained also explained how he could bleed out excessive chakra without, in his case as a practitioner of the phönix sage arts, bursting into flames.
As soon as he noticed the fever-like temperatures his body would show when he had amassed the Chakra too fast, he slowed down and the chakra flowed out of him with a thought. Additionally, he used very small parts of the chakra he collected to transfer it to Lee. His seals, which were based on some parts of the Juin he modified, what would then absorb the chakra and transfer it into that what Hinata witnessed.
Unbeknownst to them the group was joined by some people that had looked for a member of the group. The group consisted of Jiraiya, Guy, Hiashi, Kakashi, and Tsunade. Hiashi had his eyes activated and Jiraiya could feel the nature chakra and both had held back the others. Even if Guy wanted to join this youthful event they stayed close and observed.
Lee's network slowly was revitalized to that of an academy student in his last year before Hinata shouted to stop it. Naruto let the flow slowly run dry before he used two hand seals to erase the seals on Lee's body. Picking up a leaf he gave it to Lee with a knowing look. Lee put the Leaf in his palm closing his eyes.
For the first time, he could feel the rush that they described in the academy. He could feel it rushing through his chakra points. His reserves were minimal so after three failed tries the leaf stuck to his palm. With the brightest grin he ever showed he jumped up hugging both Hinata and Naruto while he sobbed out thank yous.
They could hear a slow clap and crying so the group of three looked around to see the assembled party. Guy was crying, manly, but rivers of tears. Tsunade and Jiraiya had big smiles while Hiashi and Kakashi looked proud. Tsunade, the highest ranking member stepped forward activating her mystical palm, and gave Lee a quick physical before she looked at Naruto. "You did it Gaki."
"If I tell you I do something you better believe it, that I will manage to do exactly as I said I would, because that is my Nindo!" Naruto let his emotions show while Lee was thrown around by Guy.
Hiashi looked at his daughter with a proud look. "You did well" was everything he said before he schooled his features again. "I will see you at dinner" After that, he vanished in a Shunshin.
"Could we get an explanation Naruto?" asked Kakashi who looked very proud of his student and was joined by Jiraiya on that statement.
Naruto gave a short nod before he stopped Lee and Guy for a moment. "Hinata was right to stop me, you will have to improve your reserves and network naturally from now. If I would have forced more on you it could have had negative consequences."
Guy was the one who answered. "Don't worry Naruto-san, I will not let your work go to waste. I am very grateful for what you two did."
After some more small talk and Tsunade interjecting that, they should take it easy and not deviate too much from the academy way to train the network till it was on Genin level, Hinata waved goodbye to join her family for dinner. Guy and Lee would do some light chakra exercises, while Tsunade, Jiraiya, and Naruto moved to the Hokage tower.
Moments later Hokage tower
"Very good work Naruto-kun" Hiruzen praised from his desk after he got the description of what happened from Tsunade. "You changed the life of Rock Lee significantly. I approve of your motion to also help the Kurama Heiress. Also, you will be given an A-Rank pay for your service to the village helping the Shinobi forces."
Naruto acknowledged this before he looked at Hiruzen and Tsuande. "I want to ask for permission to go on a longer training trip. With Akatsuki on the move I could be good if I would move around so they don't can't locate me that easily. I think Sensei has something to say about that." He looked at a corner where shortly after Jiraiya materialized.
"You are getting good at sensing. Yes, I wanted to ask for the same thing. Even if he is quite good he needs some more school experience and his intuition. Travelling the nations could be a good way to do so. I plan to introduce him to my network." He gave a short look at Tsunade, something that was not missed by Hiruzen and Naruto. "I plan to step down, write one last book, and hand my work over to younger generations to enjoy my remaining years. Maybe help Hime with the village."
Tsunade raised a brow. "You really will go through with it? Call me impressed Jiraiya it seems I finally managed to beat some senses in you."
Naruto followed the conversation with a smirk. He looked back at the Sandaime who also had a smile on his face. "Well, how could I say no to such an idea? When do you want to leave?"
Before Jiraiya could answer the door was thrown open with force and a panting Sakura looked at the room, blushed embarrassed but got her message across.
"Sasuke was abducted by Oto Shinobi. He. He said he has to go, that this weak village could not help him anymore." She still panted trying to catch some needed air. She could only see Naruto unsealing his sword, and screaming Kai before he jumped out of the window vanishing midair in a yellow flash. The Hokage looked at Jiraiya.
"Prepare everything you need for your trip. I have the feeling that Naruto will need it very soon. Tsunade?" He looked at the blonde who had summoned Anbu with a gesture of her hand.
"I want Shizune and Kakashi back as soon as possible to give chase. Sakura how much of a head start does Oto have?"
"Maybe two or three hours? He placed a Genjutsu on me so that I would not try to stop him. Something about he would never hurt his team."
Tsunade nodded while The Anbu began to look for more holes in the border and cover them up.
Hatsumi just entered the compound as she got the news from Haku. That was the moment she got this strange feeling around the seal on her stomach before she heard a voice in her head. "The time is near. I blessed them and you will need them. Be prepared. Just remember that sometimes not only do you need to see but also feel what is happening"
Hatsumi cursed as she felt very dizzy after that encounter only to slowly make her way to the vault.
Outskirts of Konoha with Naruto
Naruto was rushing through the forest deep in thought while he talked with his tenant.
"...even if he is controlled by the Juin he had given up on his darkness like all of this wretched clan."
"You know as much as I that there are exceptions to that rule and that you and I have our Darkside."
"Watch out!"
Naruto looked ahead to see a web coming at him. Using a combination of wind chakra and his sword he made quick work of it. He heard the swift whistle of an arrow before he parried it without much problem. Some feet away one Oto nin looked at him. A dark-skinned shinobi with black, shaggy hair tied into a ponytail and black eyes. What was a clear giveaway that he was one of the sound four were the black markings of the Juin. Naruto huffed.
"I ain't have no time to play games with you." the blonde expanded his blade and whipped it at the Ninja who had trouble pushing it away, managed it either way without so much as a cut.
The sword retracted back into the Katana form and Kidōmaru opened his mouth.
"End of the road brat, I am Kidōmaru of the …" He could not finish his sentence. Naruto had used a combination of pure speed and a Shunshin holding his sword in a reverse grip to behead him before he even could finish his name.
Looking at the corpse the curse mark slowly burning away, he summoned a clone. "As I said I have no time for something like that, Seal him away and bring him to Karin for experimentation" He took off in the direction he could feel the trace of Sasuke's Chakra.
Even with his speed, he could not catch up with Sasuke and the other till the valley of the end. Landing on a wide grad area shortly before the two landscapes of Konohas founder he looked at the group of four. Consisting of two others who looked like members of Orchimaru's Guard, Kabuto, and Sasuke. "KuKuKu, Naruto-kun. That you would be able to follow us this quickly is unexpected. Sakon."
The bespoken Member sprung forward and tried to attack him. As Kabuto beganto move away a barrier sprung up and enclosed the group. "Sorry, but I have to talk with Sasuke about some things."
Naruto pressed out as he dodged another attack from Sakon only to cut off one of his arms. Sakon used that moment to activate the second stage of his curse mark and grab his wrist. Naruto could something entering him before Kurama let out a growl.
"I will deal with that bug. Could use the workout." Naruto just let the fox do his work as he threw Sakon around using the finer variant of the Uzumaki Taijutsu he applied seals with each hit. Stacking gravity seals and shocking seals. So even with the second stage of the curse mark Naruto was wearing him down with each hit. Suddenly he could feel himself getting lighter as a scream ejected a mutilated form of someone who looked very close to Sakon.
The body was mutilated. Chunks of flesh looked like an animal had bitten and chewed on it like on a rubber bone. Giving Sakon one last roundhouse kick as his attention was on the broken form of his brother, you could hear the neck crack. The last of the sound four bounced against the barrier and laid still.
Looking at Kabuto Naruto could see him slowly clapping.
"Well done Naruto-kun. I think you have earned your talk with your friend. Go on Sasuke-kun speak with your friend." Kimmimaro looked shocked for just a second before he accepted the decision of the second in command. Naruto slowly walked the path as did Sasuke.
"Hey, Sasuke you have to fight against it come on! Don't let that snake bastard win" Naruto tried to reason with him not noticing the empty look in his eyes. The neutral voice of his friend was just like a stab into his heart.
"Leave Naruto, I appreciate it but" he hugged the blonde brotherly before he took him by his shoulders "Our ways have to part from now on. I have a clan to avenge"
Naruto was so shocked and puzzled. "Get away from him he is controlled!" Naruto wanted to but Sasuke's grip was significantly stronger. The next he could see was the metallic glint of a Kunai before searing hot pain shocked the nerves in his face. Sasuke had slashed right across his eyes. Taking a step back he could hear Orochimaru's laughter out of Sasuke's mouth. "KuKuKu, what a precious moment"
Naruto's chakra senses picked up the slack and he trusted his hearing. Knowing that Sasuke was going back to Kabuto he could hear Kabuto's voice. "Kimmimaro, deal with the container If you can subdue him take him with you if he dies bring him too. I am sure Lord Orochimaru wants to experiment on him. I have to take this new soldier to our Lord."
"Understood. I will do so even if it kills me." Kimmimaro answered.
"Of that I'm sure." Kabuto took Sasuke and escaped by holding a Kunai to the neck of Sasuke ordering the clone to drop the barrier. Something the clone did before he dispelled.
The next thing that happened was a bone sword that was crashing against Naruto's Katana.
Inside Sasuke's mind
Sasuke was standing before a great white Orochimaru. The lower half of his body was made out of scales and Sasuke's eyes had morphed into his Magekyou pattern. "You told me nobody would be hurt. What was that!" He spits out.
"KuKuKu, Sasuke-kun that should matter to you. You should only listen to my voice!" The Snake Sannin tried only to fail, as he felt black flames engulfing his form.
"I will not give up my body so easily Orochimaru!" Sasuke shot back at him again, as the snake vanished.
"Oh I can wait, we will see each other again."
The disembodied voice of the snake closed with a hiss and Sasuke let out a breath.
He looked around in the darkness of his mind where the snake vanished. "I am so sorry Naruto," he said to nobody. "I will try to fight back, that's a promise"
Back with Naruto against Kimmimaro
Naruto just dodged another volley of Bone Bullets. Even Kurama could not fix his eyes and he took some major cuts because he missed out on this sense. His left arm felt numb, he had some minor cuts on the right one, and slowly but surely the blood loss was getting to him.
He would have to pull A Naruto Uzumaki special but how?
Kimmimaro had entered the second stage ten minutes ago, his failing body was strained as usual if he used the second stage. Nevertheless, he was given a mission to bring this person to his Lord and he would listen to the voice that has spoken to him for many years now.
"Naruto, you need to pull something. I know that without your eyes it will be hard but you can feel him good enough to aim for him."
Naruto huffed and unleashed his chains. The chains blocked bones, they pushed him out of the way of the bone lance and the tail whips. Kurama pushed more chakra into his network and slowly the red shroud was building up. The ground was littered from the clashes between the two shinobi. Naruto's clone bombarded his enemy with different Jutsu. From Windblades to Stones, even Flames. The environment made Water Jutsu not efficient enough. Unluckily for Naruto Kimmimaros Bones hold strong for the moment.
The speed of the battle had slowed down after many clashes. Kimmimaro had to spit out some Blood. He could feel that his body was giving out. Collecting his Chakra for a final push he missed out that a clone got through his forest of bones using short-distance Shunshins. He managed to place a Hiraishin marker before a bone pierced the clone out of existence.
Naruto smirked as he looked at Kimmimaro. "You know, without using medical Jutsu I know that your body is giving out on you. That Juin that you got from that snake slowly kills the host." The blonde summoned some clones and one had a scroll. Maybe I can save you. Did the snake promise you a long life? That lying bastard."
Kimmimaro's rage rose to new heights as his opponent slandered his master. This rage blinded him to Naruto's clones as they used the new version of the Hiraishin to transport a scroll to his marker. The last thing Kimmaro could hear was the shouted word "FUIN!" After that, he was sealed and put into stasis.
Naruto's clones jumped up. "Yatta!"
The main body sealed the scroll away before he could feel the exhaustion coming over him.
looking around to make sure that he was alone he closed his eyes to speak with his Tenant.
"Thanks for the chakra Kurama."
"You did good, but I can't help with your eyes or the feelings in the left arm something is wrong there."
"Yeah, I got that." Naruto lay in the middle of the battlefield and spoke in his mind not witnessing as Kakashi and Shizune landed.
Shizune checked in an instant and sighed relieved. "Significant Chakra exhaustion, His eyes are damaged and the nerve endings in his left arm are cut through somehow. I would take a guess it was the bones."
Kakashi nodded. "Is he stable and fit for transport?" Shizune gave Kakashi gave short nod. Kakashi took hold of his student and together they rushed back to Konoha. Nearly four hours later Naruto was laid into his bed in the Uzumaki Compound. Tsunade could not do anything for him at the moment. After Hatsumi had arrived she demanded that Naruto would be transferred to the compound. It needed a scroll handed to Hiruzen for him to sign the order off.
Now five hours after the battle at the Valley of the End, Karin stood at the side of Naruto's bed Hatsumi had brought out a pair of eyes in a synthetic fluid. In another vial was a greenish substance. Karin wore a white doctor's coat and had put on gloves. Hatsumi was standing in something resembling nurse clothes and would assist her in the progress. Both had medical training, Hatsumi though was specially trained for the operation regarding his eyes. It was something each wife of a Uchiha clan head would be trained in, so Karin had asked her to support her.
The transplantation of the eyes had gone through without a hitch, as fast as both girls could tell. Hatsumi checked the reaction of the eyes to light and as they did react as they should, she let out a relieving sigh. What surprised her though was that the natural color of his eyes returned. Yes, it was now really purple and not the normal blue with a hue of amethyst but it was not her former eye color either. She looked at Karin and asked the same question for the third time. "You are sure it will not take over his cells like it did with Danzo? The arm looked gruesome in this half-wooden state"
Karin looked at her small petri dish where she placed some small drops of Naruto's blood before she carefully added a single drop of the greenish liquid. Looking at the Display for her microscope. After some seconds she looked up and nodded at Hatsumi.
"I am very certain that it will not be a problem. The cellular regeneration of both DNAs combined is mind-boggling. This last test was just to be sure of Naruto's current conditions, it looks like your transplant just increased the compatibility. I don't know if that comes from your transplant or the fact, that the arm absorbed some DNA from those eyes. I will have to look into this after we are finished. You ready?"
Hatsumi gave a nod and they strapped him to the bed before Karin carefully injected the Liquid into his left arm.
For Seconds all machines gave satisfactorily sounds before Naruto began to slowly thrash. Building up to a full-blown seizure and a silent scream. Karin furiously checked her devices but withholding Naruto's blood pressure and heartbeats she could find nothing out of the ordinary. Naruto stopped shaking as he opened his eyes first in the three-tomoe–Sharingan version, before that, morphed into a pattern Hatsumi recognized as her Mangekyou pattern before she got her Eternal Mangekyou pattern.
What happened after was mesmerizing. It looked like the pattern was sucked into the pupil. before the eyes sinned to show red eyes with a spiral design that had an uncanny resemblance to the Uzumaki Clan insignia. After the whole process was finished Naruto closed his eyes his body relaxing he slept again.
Karin looked at Hatsumi. "What the fuck Hatsumi-chan?"
The former Uchiha and now Uzumaki looked at Karin and gulped. "I think he got the eternal eyes that would usually only a Uchiha get when they trade eyes after gaining a Mangekyou. But how?" Karin mused for a moment.
"You know with all the mixed Uchiha and synthetic Senju cells, that could be the reason," Karin answered. "I would like to research that more, but I think Naruto is the only one that would work, maybe his children.." With that Karin was blushing and looked at him with a different light. Only to get a bonk on the head thanks to Hatsumi.
"You are both still too young to think about that, Karin-chan. but you should start courting him in a year or two so you can call first dibs" She winked at the other girl increasing her blush. Both monitored Naruto for the rest of the Day. His vital values remained unchanged with slight increases to the positive side. Opening up Karin and Hatsumi left a clone each before they got back to prepare for the move of the compound.
Inside Naruto's Mindscape
"What do you mean you feel another presence Kurama?"
Naruto was sitting cross-legged before Kurama's cage doors. The fox had made himself comfortable.
"He is feeling my presence child" A chill took hold of the Kyuubi and Naruto. Both winced as they looked at a floating and big presence. The horns, white Kimono, everything commanded respect.
The Kyuubi nearly swallowed his tongue. "Shinigami-sama"
The entity looked at the Biju and his tongue was hanging out a bit. "That you would remember me Kurama doesn't surprise me much. I am glad that the human did as I have told her to do. Most humans ignore us for stupid reasons. We do have not much time to talk so I will make this quick. How much do you know about the person you humans call the Sage of the Six Paths?"
Kurama gulped but Naruto recited the Legend with the Moon Princess without pause. Thanks to the Uzumaki Scrolls and talks with Kurama he had no problems doing so. The shinigami nodded. "Very good child. Now. Let me tell you something about aliens and people that want to be gods."
Naruto and Kurama had to hold onto their jaws. Being told that there was a species that was something like a planet-traveling parasite. Those parasites go from planet to planet from dimension to dimension to consume the chakra of those in it to reach godhood was big.
"Luckily, the rabbit princess rebelled and opened the door for us real Kami to intervene. I as the Kami responsible for reaping the souls was tasked with the task of finding someone who could stop those parasites from spreading their will further."
Naruto slowly pointed at himself. "Me?"
"Him?" Kurama pointed at his host.
And both spoke simultaneously
"We can do this / We are doomed"
Looking at each other Biju and Host looked at the Shinigami who chuckled a deep creepy laugh. "Thought so. But if you fail we just have to recreate your planet from scratch, nothing we not already would have done before, but I blessed those eyes of yours and when the time comes you will understand and hopefully spare us the trouble. Seriously humans. Did you never wonder why the Sharingan is something to leech power from others? For the moment use your time to train if those aliens show their face again you will know what to do I think, or not I can enjoy punishing you both for all eternity because you fucked up my spare time"
After those words, the entity disappeared. Kyuubi and Naruto looked unbelieving at the space where the Shinigami had hovered beforehand. "I don't think that I want to be tortured by the Shinigami for all eternity."
The Kyuubi wanted to say something before his body started to get bigger and bigger doubling in size. "How?" the Biju asked as his other half of Chakra got back into him.
A gust of wind with a cold chill took hold of Kurama and Naruto again.
"I am also good at gifting those that do my bidding. Call this a foretaste of my generosity"
As fast as the presence was there it left again. Naruto looked at his partner.
"That's more like the strongest and biggest of them all. Good for you Kurama."
The Fox just nodded both of them made some plans for training or what the Shinigami could mean with his bidding.
Meanwhile Hokage Office
Tsunade was standing in front of the Hokage desk. Hiruzen sat on the chair while Ino, Hinata, and Sakura stood before Tusanade. Each of the young Kunoichi had their respective Sensei standing right behind them. The blonde Sannin eyed the three girls before her, she calmed herself down once and started speaking.
"You are wondering why you are here at the moment. To save us some time I will explain. I plan on including advanced medical training for all those with enough chakra control to do so. Your class was selected to be a proof of concept. Additionally, I will perhaps select one of you to apprentice under me. For the next three years, you will be training with your team and Senseis or with me. Each time you have time to spare you will report to me first. You will be finished when I tell you that you are. These three years will be hard but" she looked directly at Sakura
"for some of you this can be a possibility that would be closed to you if you are not out of an established ninja clan."
All three girls stood at attention. "I will see you tomorrow in the hospital." After getting three salutes she dismissed everyone turning to see Kakashi left in the room.
Raising her brow she looked at Kakashi.
"What is it Kakashi?"
Kakashi stood at Attention and Hiruzen stood from his chair. "You know Kakashi, it is not your fault. Naruto will survive, I have a good feeling that Sakura will be motivated to train twice as hard under Tsunade. We don't know what was Sasuke's motivation to go rogue. We have to wait for Naruto and hope for the best."
Kakashi nodded. "Yes, Hokage-sama. That leads me to my request. If I may." Hiruzen gave him a nod. "With Naruto on a trip with Jiraiya-sama and Sakura as prospective Apprentice in a field I am not able to support her fully I want to get back into training with Ro. It seems I lost my edge."
Hiruzen looked with a smile. "Is this a request to get back behind your mask?" The aged Hokage asked while Tsunade looked on. Kakashi looked deep in thought for a moment.
"If Hokage-sama wants me back, then only for three years. I would want to be available if my former students are back from their special training. It is not that I want to run away this time Hokage-sama. I have the feeling that I need to get stronger to stand at the side of my students." Kakashi ended his explanation and Hiruzen nodded but looked at Tsuanade.
"Your call Tsunade." The old Kage looked at his student who huffed and gave a signal to one of the anbu who appeared with a dog mask. The Anbu in question had a cat mask and purple hair.
Tsunade looked at Kakashi before she threw the mask at him. "You will report monthly to the Yamanaka in charge of Anbu. Captain Cat will explain the details."
Kakashi put his mask on. "Will do so Tsunade-sama, Hokage-sama"
The purple-haired Anbu nodded at him and both disappeared in a swirl of leaves.
One Week Later Konoha Council Chambers
Naruto's time to heal was longer than expected and now he stood before the council. Jiraiya was in attendance as he gave his report. "... because of this, I suspect that Sasuke is under some sort of outside influence through the seal."
The Council was silent for a moment and as expected one of the elders started the questions. Homura looked at Naruto with a questioning glance. "Chunin Uzumaki" The slight disdain in his voice had Naruto on the edge in an instant but he just listened to the man speaking. "You say that you, no you suggest Genin Uchiha was controlled by Orochimarus Curse Mark. Because of that, you want him not to be listed as rouge. Instead, you want him listed as possibly captured by enemy forces."
Naruto gave a small nod. "Yes, Elder that is exactly what I want. After the unfortunate event with the former Elder Shimura, I find it very important to get confirmation for my accusations before I call someone a traitor to the village." Naruto could feel Jiraya's hand give him a calming squeeze on the shoulder.
Homura slowly had to acknowledge Naruto's words. Something that just did not sit well with Naruto. "Pardon me Elder I can literally see that you may have some disdain against me. I, the Jinchuriki of the village, speaking in this hall."
Jiraiya used his hand again. "Naruto, enough"
Hiruzen gave the pair a smile before he looked at the council. "Does one of you council members want to say something against Chunin Uzumaki's words?"
Hiashi spoke up. "How can we be sure that his knowledge holds up to his claims? We have seen good feats in the barrier department but Juin is a very different branch of Fuinjutsu isn't it?"
Tsunade sighed she knew what Naruto would say and nodded at him. "It is rich that the one clan in Konoha with a Slave Seal questions my knowledge of Juin. Let us say" he made a short pause before he smirked, "Hyuuga-san I would be able to release a caged bird if I were ordered to."
Hiashi's face reddened his eyes activated as Hiruzen flooded the room with killing intent. "Naruto-kun, please refrain from riling up my council." Naruto bowed in the direction of the Hokage while he looked a bit smug. Hiashi had a sour face before he continued.
"Be that as it may. My vote still stands. He attacked a fellow Ninja in cold blood and injured him." The Hokage had to nod about that that was a point nobody could say something against. Naruto still had a small scar of it, that was slowly disappearing but it was still visible.
Hotaru looked at Hiruzen and was allowed to speak next. "I think we can say that as long that his master won't disagree about his student's knowledge of Fuinjutsu we should assume he is right in his assumption. Also, it would not be good for Konoha's reputation it would be common knowledge that another Uchiha went possibly rogue."
Hiruzen nodded, thankfully his former teammates and advisors seemed to wake out of their stupor since Danzo was gone. Maybe he had manipulated them somehow but for now, he was glad, that he could listen to their advice again. It means when he would join them to advise Tsunade as Elders he would not need to smoke one pipe after each session to calm down. "I agree. Sasuke Uchiha will not be marked as missing-nin as long as we have no solid proof that he works against Konoha's interest."
The meeting came to a close and the only people left were the two Sannin and Naruto.
"Thank you Jiji, I am really sure that the Juin is the reason for all that. I did some research on it. They slightly differ in every iteration but each of them has control mechanisms"
Neither Hiruzen nor Tsunade asked where he found that out sometimes not knowing something was a bliss. "Just be careful on your travels Naruto-kun. If you can come up with a way to free someone of the Juin of my late student, we have someone in our active services that would be very grateful for your services."
After that, they spoke about the travel plans and Naruto went back to the compound for the rest of the day helping to seal away things of value into storage scrolls while providing clones to flash them to wave. Here Hatsumis agents would transport them through the underground tunnel.
Everything was coming along fine. Tomorrow he would help Yakumo. He had improved the seals to measure the pathways so they would disable themselves. His new eyes had helped much in improving the seals. Not that he could see pathways but he could memorize the feel of the resistance at certain points of the process.
He asked some civilians from the orphanage under a henge to help here. Well, Konoha would get some new Ninjas with the next batch of orphans. With all his skills and Kurama, he should be able to help Yakumo manage her Ido. The day after that, he and Jiraya could finally start traveling.
Kurama Clan Heiress quarters
It was a bit of a struggle to convince the Head of the clan to draw the required seals. In the end, her mother was in the room as Naruto began his work. Luckily he just needed to draw the seels on positions six and seven.
So no need for Yakumo to drop her clothes just open them a bit. After that, the process of revitalizing her charka network in her leg to get it up in synch with the rest was a slow process. After nearly four hours passed just for this part, Naruto was exhausted from the precision needed and the mental challenge. Slowly encouraging her the circle her chakra everything looked to be good.
"Okay, I would have to unseal you now to complete the process. Do you think you are ready?"
The blonde boy was asking as he unsealed his supplies.
Yakumo had a big smile on her face. Her body felt like a big weight was lifted as her network was in balance again. After a short time, she nodded. "Let's do this Naruto-kun."
Naruto nodded, first, he started to disassemble the Seal that was placed on her. Nothing too heavy or too difficult but he took his time to let one of his clones check for problems.
"Naruto your eyes…use…"
Something was wrong that much he could feel before he could see Yakumo falling asleep. Seconds Later he got drowsy. The Mother of Yakumo could only look on as another Yakumo materialized. Her demonic eyes fixated on the Matriarch. "Don't interfere or I will kill them. Your Daughter will have to prove herself to me, she and her companion will have a fair chance but if you try to pull something it will be over quickly."
Shortly after Naruto and Yakumo's bodies were engulfed in rose-like vines that filled out the room and blocked the view of both sleeping persons in the clutch of one demon.
