Teen Titans Season 1 Part 2: The Invasion

As the Titan begin to settle into Metropolis as its new heroes an alien invasion, secrets kept, and tough decision's threaten to tear the team apart, while new members and future allies appear to help protect the city, the Titans must overcome these internal conflicts to protect the island they now call home.

2. The Day Metropolis Stood Still

CHAPTER 24

Metropolis, U,S,A

Lex Luthar stood at the podium,

"Lexcorp is developing security robot's that will be perfectly capable of protecting this city, rather than a group of school children, I don't often agree with the Justice League but for once I don't feel the need to question their judgment" His speech was interrupted by an explosion just feet away from the stage.

Lex was thrown several feet, his head narrowly missing the edge of the stage, as he stumbled to his feet a second explosion rocked the ground only a couple feet from the first, three large space crafts had appeared in the sky out of nowhere casting the park in a single large shadow.

"Luthar!" A female voice called from the crowd of panicked civilians, he scanned the crowd for her, several seconds later a woman in a dark blue police vest pushed through the throng of people,

"Watch out!" He felt her fully body weight slam against his abdomen, as he fell backwards and saw a part of the roof of the pavilion collapsing, he heard her cry out in pain, he stumbled to his feet, the officer was pinned down by a metal beam across her chest and concrete piled on her legs, she was gasping for air as she struggled to dislodge the metal beam. Lex ran over,

"I'm here, I'm going to get it off, ok" He tested the beam, "Ok, I'm gonna lift it off of you, I need you to push it away" He gripped the bottom of the beam and pulled up, she pushed it away from her chest, it moved several inches, before hovering over her ribcage,

"It's stuck" Lex said slowly lowering it back onto her, "Are you ok?" He asked

"I'll be fine, you need to go" She said, Lex shook his head,

"I'm not leaving, I just need to find something to prop this up on" He thought for a second, "I'm going to call for our search and rescue robots to be sent out, their equipt to get this off" He stepped away from her.

"Hello, we need to activate the civilian protection program" He listened for a second "I don't care about the risk, the city is under attack. Ok send some to the park, Chief Perez is trapped and injured" He placed the phone back in his pocket and turned back to her, the roof above him collapsed buring him under the rubble.
