Welcome Home and Big Surprises

Acnologia placed his suitcase on the floor, hung his jacket on the coat rack near the door, and closed it behind him.

"Flying in that Arceus-forsaken contraption, especially in economy class, is such a pain. They really need to improve the comfort of those seats..."

He stretched his neck from side to side, hearing the slight bones shifting as they realigned themselves. He rotated his shoulders to lessen the tension there. Then, he placed his hand on his left shoulder and focused on using magic to relax the strained muscle while doing the same on the other side.

"Ah, that's much better!" exclaimed the Dragonslayer, finally able to relax after being stuck at the airport for so long. His stomach felt relieved now that he was back on solid ground again.

After taking a deep breath, he was greeted by the delicious aroma of food his wife had been cooking. She had been quite busy in the kitchen, judging from the delectable smells emanating from there. He could also hear the soft sound of a TV in the background, which he recognized as the cartoon that his daughter Ashi loved to watch.

Acnologia announced his arrival with a warm smile and cried out with enthusiasm, "I'm back!"

Right on cue, Acnologia immediately heard the bare feet rushing down the hallway toward him. He saw a small child with bright, shiny eyes brimming with happiness, a smile on her face, and a cry of excitement when she finally saw him: "Daddy!"

Acnologia stooped down for Ashi to jump into his arms and wrap her tiny arms around his neck. Holding his precious child after so long made his weary spirit feel better, and he could finally relax now that he was back with those he loved.

The Dragonslayer buried his nose in her hair, taking in the scent of lilac, Vanillite shampoo, and the sweet, bubbly soap that Delia used for Ashi's bath. It must've been an hour ago or so when she got bathed.

Acnologia drew back to take a quick look, seeing his daughter all squeaky clean just for him. Ashi had her hair styled in twin pigtails, but he could see that she had definitely inherited the wild, spiky locks from his side. Her cheeks were puffing out, and seeing that she now was briefly scowling at him, the Dragonslayer thought it was way too cute on her.

"Daddy, I missed you! You've been gone for so long," The Dragonslayer smiled and reached out to tuck a stray bang behind her ear. He knew she didn't like it when he was away for a long time.

"Yes, but many Pokemon needed Papa's help. Some big meanies had hurt them badly, but I made sure to heal them all. Now, Daddy's here, and he's not going anywhere for a while. I will not let you go that easily now that the almighty dragon king has caught you in his claws; he will take you away and never let you out of his sight!"

Delia had arrived to witness the joyous reunion between father and daughter. She watched as Acnologia picked up Ashi and spun her around, eliciting her childlike laughter that resonated throughout the hallway. Although Delia would have loved to let the moment linger, she was mindful of the food getting cold, so she walked over to grab their attention.

"Alright, settle down, Ashi. I know you're happy to see Papa after all this time, and I'm sure you both will have plenty to catch up on once we sit down and eat," Delia said.

However, the little girl refused to comply. She was still gripping onto Acnologia's neck tightly, like an Aipom. Although he didn't mind since he had missed his little girl, Delia was aware that he wasn't bothered by her vice-like hold since it was nothing compared to his immense strength.

As they were in such close proximity, Ashi's face was next to her Papa's, and Delia couldn't help noticing the similarities between them, with some of her own traits spliced in on their daughter's visage. Ashi had long, unruly hair darker than her mother's but with hints of navy among the tresses, making it more burgundy.

However, the most promising feature was her brilliant jewel-like orbs that matched her Papa's eyes and complemented her dark caramel complexion. Even those distinctive birthmarks passed onto her by her father and saw glow based on her emotional state or when being with her sire in close range. Delia saw that all these added a definition of character that no one else could pull off.

Both parents were convinced that their daughter would grow up to be a stunning beauty and that her puberty would turn heads. Delia envisioned how Ace, the Dragonslayer, would react when he finally met their daughter's partner. She hoped that the person would handle Ace's presence well. She planned to be present to keep a firm grip on him and prevent him from terrorizing the poor soul too much.

Acnologia realized that his wife was right. It was not wise to stand around while letting all of Delia's hard work get cold. He was also feeling famished and could eat a Wailord right about now.

However, he thought he should do something more since it seemed unfair to just greet their daughter. Acnologia walked towards her and gave her a quick but fiery kiss to his ever-beautiful mate. Though brief, he poured all his long-felt desires into it and told her how much he had missed her. Delia's response was welcoming, knowing that the feeling was mutual on her end.

They ignored their daughter's audible gagging as they forced her to witness their gross mouth-mashing, which was a common occurrence. Ashi was puzzled as to why her parents always kissed each other on the mouth, despite the risk of catching 'cooties' that her classmates had warned her about.

She wondered if her parents were aware of the potential health risks, especially since her father was a doctor. However, her mother seemed perfectly healthy and happy after each kiss, which made Ashi wonder if her parents knew something she didn't.

But still, ewwwwww!

Ace and Delia were able to regain their composure before Delia asked her husband and daughter to go wash up and meet them in the dining room. As everyone settled into their usual seats at the table, Delia served the food, ensuring that Acnologia's portion was slightly larger than hers and Ashi's.

She also placed spinach salads with Gogoat cheese and Roseli berry dressing by their plates, adding extra leafy greens to her daughter's plate. Delia knew that eating spinach had many benefits, and although Ashi rarely complained about vegetables, she could be stubborn sometimes, especially when it came to Brussels sprouts.

Ace often had to encourage her to eat them by reminding her that a dragon never backs down from a challenge, not even for disgusting vegetables! "Ashi, I want you to eat all of those spinach leaves. If you want your special dessert later, you must finish all your greens first." Delia instructed her daughter.

Delia sees that Ashi did as she was told and ate the entire salad and her third bowl of pasta while Acnologia was still on his sixth serving. After finishing their meal, they cleared the table, put away the dishes, and sat down to enjoy the dessert Delia had prepared. Her signature Nanab pudding was topped with crumbled moonstones and vanilla Alcremie whipped cream. They watched joyfully as their daughter relished every bite of the scrumptious dessert.

Acnologia was also digging into his food, but his attention was on his two favorite girls. He watched as Delia smiled at Ashi and then moved to wipe some cream that had gotten on her left cheek. The Dragonslayer felt incredibly fortunate to have them both in his life and couldn't imagine how life could get any better than this.

"Hey Ashi, do you know what's happening in a few days? I have a feeling it's something important, but I can't quite remember what it is." He noticed his daughter put down her spoon and looked at him with surprise.

"Daddy, you know what it is!"

Acnologia rested his head on his hand and gazed at her with faux curiosity, "Oh, please refresh my memory." Delia stifled a chuckle as she realized that he was teasing her. However, since Ashi was staring at him in disbelief, Ace asked, "I know it's someone's birthday, but...is it mine?"

Ashi shook her head, and Delia saw her husband turn to her and then ask again, but with a playful glint in his eye, "Then maybe it's mummy's, right?"

Once again, Ashi shook her head vigorously. Suddenly, he snapped his fingers as if he had a eureka moment, "Oh, I know, it's Arche's, isn't it!"

"No, Papa!" Ashi shouted indignantly, "It's my birthday! Arche's was last month, don't you remember?!"

"Oh, that's right," He smacked the bottom of his fist into his open palm as if that made a lot of sense now that she explained it, "It's our little Ashi's birthday; how silly of me!"

It was all in good fun, but it seemed Ashi didn't appreciate his teasing, so he best make it up to her and let her know it wasn't all that serious about forgetting was her big day. He'd never do such a thing in a million years; she was his most precious treasure, after all!

(Damn straight, and I'll see to not let anyone lay one finger on our hatchling, not until she's old enough to master the Dragon Force, and then let her unleash hell on those worthless fools!)

Ace approached his daughter, who had turned away from him and refused to look in his direction.

"I'm sorry, princess. I didn't mean to upset you. I knew your birthday was coming up, so I planned something special for you," he said.

Ace noticed that Ashi was trying to pretend she wasn't interested, but he could tell that she was curious about what he had planned for them. He decided to reveal the surprise that he and Delia had been keeping a secret for the past few weeks.

They had been brainstorming about what they could do for Ashi's Birthday, and one day, Delia's boss suggested something that she thought would be perfect. She talked to Ace about it, and he was excited about the idea once he found out what it was.

"I'm sure you're curious about what we have planned. After much consideration, we have decided to visit the Whirl Islands this summer!" This announcement captured Ashi's attention, causing her to turn around and look at her parents with wide eyes. The Whirl Islands are located in the Johto region, which made this even more exciting for her.

"Really?!" Ashi exclaimed, turning to her mother, who confirmed the news, "Yes, dear. We are going on a three-week vacation to explore all the islands."

"All of them, including Silver Rock Isle?!" Ashi asked, recalling her mother's stories about how the island was rumored to be a secret hideaway for a legendary Pokemon.

However, no one had ever confirmed the truth of the matter save a few who had briefly glimpsed it in passing. Some tried and failed to locate the creature whenever they roamed that location, searching high and low for it.

But then they wouldn't be considered Legendaries for nothing if people were to go find them Willy-Nilly, at least that's what her Mummy and Daddy always said.

Delia nodded and said, "Yes, we will be staying in Silver Rock Isle. The city there is absolutely beautiful. We are lucky to be visiting during the Whirl Cup, where we'll get to see all the water types used during the event."

Her daughter Ashi was thrilled to hear this because she loved watching Pokemon battles with her father. They often watched the Silver Leagues or any tournaments that were on the Pokechannel, and if they had a chance, they would also attend local competitions. Ashi would be on her father's shoulder, shouting and cheering along with the crowd. Delia was happy to see them enjoying themselves since this was their precious bonding moment, and she knew how those two were when in their element.

In addition to the Whirl Cup, there were festivals that were sure to be just as much fun, but nothing could beat watching an actual competition.

Ashi couldn't help but ask when they were leaving, hoping it would be very soon. Her mother replied, "We leave in four days, but I want you to help me pack your things. We will be there for some time, so make sure you have all your necessities, including your toothbrush and sunscreen."

They could grab it at the airport if she missed anything, but Delia wanted Ashi to show her father that she was a big girl and could pack all her essentials.

Ashi couldn't help but showering them both with immediate gratitude, throwing her little arms around her parents one at a time, thanking them profusely and kissing them on the cheek. She didn't give them a chance to respond as their daughter ran up the stairs, thinking about what she needed to pack and realizing that she had better get started immediately.

Her parents watched her go, knowing that the news of the upcoming vacation would make her ecstatic but also realizing that it was time for her to go to bed.

Ace and Delia were both imagining what might be happening in Ashi's room at this very moment. It was highly likely that Ashi had already turned her room into a disaster zone, given how she could be when left to her own devices. Ace reached out to lay his hand on Delia's shoulder to reassure her that he would handle this himself.

"Leave this to me, love," He said before heading upstairs to the second floor towards Ashi's bedroom. Ace walked into the room and saw his daughter in the middle of packing her things.

However, the room was a complete mess, with scattered clothes and toys lying all over the floor. Ace could tell that his daughter didn't notice him since she was so focused on her set task and thought he better intervene before Delia saw the mess she had made.

"Ashi, I understand you're super excited about our vacation, and believe me, so am I. But it's time for bed, little lady. We can handle the packing later. I know Cresselia has some nice dreams waiting for a certain hatchling once she closes her eyes. But first, let's clean this whole thing up."

He left no room for argument. Since her father was present, Ashi knew to do as she was told. He helped her put away everything before making sure she was tucked in bed with the covers pulled up to her chin and her Charmander plushie right by her side. As Ace was about to leave after giving her a goodnight kiss, Ashi called him back. "Papa, can you sing the lullaby, pretty please?"

Acnologia turned and saw Ashi giving him big puppy eyes. He had fallen prey to her deadliest weapon: a look that made him surrender almost instantaneously one too many times when she first learned to use that for evil purposes.

Her mother was able to defy them but he on the other hand was helpless when it came to his little girl and her methods of ensnaring him right around her little finger.

(Dang it, no! Resist! Resist, don't fall for those tricks, remember what happened last time! You are the Dragon King! Don't give in! I refuse to...Awwww, now she's got her little bottom lip sticking out...)

Acnologia couldn't help but feel defeated as his inner dragon succumbed to his daughter's devilish power, leaving him at her mercy. Seeing as he had no other choice, Ace moved back towards the bed and took to sitting on her left side, saying, "As you wish, my little Princess."

Delia had finished clearing the table and thought she should go and check her husband and see how he was faring with Ashi.

Hopefully, he managed to get her into bed without much hassle, and she also wanted to say goodnight to their little girl. While she was halfway upstairs, she heard the familiar tenor of her husband's voice, soft and soothing, singing the lullaby that he used to sing to Ashi when she was a baby.

It was their favorite lullaby, and she couldn't help but listen as her husband sang to their daughter, watching from the doorway as her half-shut eyelids grew heavy until they fully closed and Ashi drifted off into peaceful slumber, thanks to her papa.

"…Everything will be okay." He sees Ashi fast asleep and finds his wife beside him. She leans forward to give Ashi's forehead a quick kiss goodnight and whispers softly, "Goodnight, my Ashi. Sweet dreams,"

Then, slowly and cautiously, they tiptoed out of the room and softly shut the door, stealing one last glance at their daughter sleeping peacefully with her Pokemon doll snuggled in her arms.

The couple headed towards their bedroom; Acnologia went to shower and change while Delia waited for him in their room. When he came out, he wore a pair of drawstring pajama bottoms with a small towel around his neck as he finished drying his hair.

The Dragonslayer noticed that his wife had changed into her sky-blue nightgown, which he had given her on their first anniversary. Delia loved that color and wanted to make their anniversary memorable, so he found the nightgown at a lovely little boutique that sold all kinds of beautiful outfits. He had gotten her all sorts of varieties with different shades and tones of blue, but this one was his all-time favorite since she wore this on their wedding night.

Despite having given birth to their daughter and subsequently regaining her near-slender physique, the Dragonslayer noticed that her curves had taken on a more motherly appearance that suited her well. He admired how beautiful she looked in the elegant floral dress with a pleated hemline and lace stitching on the back. The V-neck opening showcased her ample cleavage to her partner. Delia's hair flowed in soft waves, unbound from its usual ponytail.

As he approached the bed, he noticed a subtle aroma of her favorite lotion mingled with a light, airy perfume. He recognized that alluring fragrance well, and seeing it had an arousing effect on him just moments after breathing it in. He could already feel its impact on him as his pants grew tight around his loins.

A wry smile came across his face when he saw his wife had dressed up specially for him on this occasion. He couldn't resist the tempting offer and moved closer, enveloping her in a warm embrace, which she welcomed openly. He sensed that his mate was in a receptive mood and couldn't resist expressing his love and affection towards her. She leaned against his warm embrace, resting her head on his bare chest and listening to his heart beating loudly in her ear.

"I am pleased that we can spend some quality time together as a family. Did you notice the expression on our little girl's face? It's great that we decided to do something different for Ashi's birthday this year."

Ace agreed. He had anticipated their daughter would be excited to go to the Whirl Cup, and he was pleased that his wife had suggested it. It had been years since they had gone to the tournament, and they knew that their daughter, Ashi, would be thrilled to witness it this time around.

Ashi loved hearing stories about her parents' past expeditions and had even found Delia's old notebooks on her bookshelf while cleaning her room. She must have gotten them from her parents' shared studies and most likely asked her mother's permission to borrow them. Ace noticed that they were the ones from when he had joined Delia on her journey and that they carried both of her parents' handwriting. Clearly, Ashi had inherited her mother's inquisitive nature, and Ace was confident she would leave her mark once she heads out on her voyage.

He knew that the day was approaching fast. Trainer's licenses are granted to children when they turn ten and after passing an immediate exam to show they can take on this responsibility. Ashi's parents knew that their daughter was determined to set out and explore the world. They remembered the essay she had written for last year's school assignment about what she wanted to be when she grew up.

It had been declared in bold letters so everyone could see it clearly as her one main goal in life: 'When I grow up, I will be the Greatest Master in the Whole World.'

While some may have assumed she wanted to be a Pokemon master like others her age, her parents knew otherwise. They believed their daughter would be the first-ever Dragonslayer Pokemon Master, a task they knew would be incredibly difficult to achieve.

However, they never doubted that their daughter could accomplish anything she set her mind to, as she inherited her father's raw determination and dragonslaying skills.

Ace and his wife still had two years before their little girl would leave the nest to embark on her Pokemon journey. Suddenly, Ace noticed the salty scent in the air and heard his wife softly sniffling but tried to hide it by burrowing her face in his chest.

He reached out to console her, trying to help her not feel so sad in thought, yet thought how he, too, would miss their little girl when she headed out the door into the great big world outside these walls.

"She really takes after both of us, especially you, Lia, and I'm certain she'll do amazing while out on her own."

Although he tried to remain positive, flashes of memories flickered through his mind - holding her as a baby, watching her learn to crawl and walk towards him, and all the cherished moments of her growing up.

It felt too soon, but everyone knew that the little Pidgey had to leave the nest sometime, or in their case, the little dragon hatchling. She'll be setting off into the great unknown and sure that Ashi is a strong and capable child and that she can become independent while embarking on her Pokemon journey.

Nonetheless, the thought of their daughter leaving home left a heavy feeling in their hearts, and Ace was taking into consideration how this would affect Delia. They were sure to be okay after a while, but still...

"Darling, you remember what we said before about how we were okay with just Ashi...how would you feel about having another one?"

Delia turned to him, and he noticed a slight mistiness in her eyes. However, she quickly blinked back the tears as his words caught her off guard. They had once discussed having a large family with two or three kids in the mix.

Still, they had put it on the back burner while focusing on raising their daughter and settling into their careers. Now, he was bringing it back up, and she realized it wouldn't be such a bad idea after all.

Delia was contemplating having another child, with a preference for a baby boy. She had already imagined holding her newborn son and admiring his father's handsome features, but he bore her eyes instead.

The young mother thought of the strong bond her children would share and believed it would make everything perfect for their family. However, before making any decisions, she wanted to ensure that Acnologia was also on board with the idea before making the final call.

"Are you sure this is what you want?" Delia asked him with hope in her voice.

Acnologia nodded, "Yes, I'm certain, love. I know you're happy with your work, and I didn't want to jeopardize your career by asking you to put it on hold for another pregnancy. But I know I can handle things independently, caring for them just like I did with Ashi. And if anything, I'm sure she'll gladly assist when we tell her ourselves what we're planning."

As he observed his daughter's gaze toward other families, particularly those with younger siblings, he realized how much she longed to have a bond with someone who could understand her at the same level. Being an only child can be a lonely experience, especially for a Dragonslayer who can't share her secret with anyone outside her family. However, if she were to have a sibling who shared the same blood as her and find to develop a strong connection between them by seeing as the eldest teach them the arts and be by their sides throughout the same experience as she once did.

Though their busy careers had kept them from considering it earlier, now was as good a time as any to make her and Delia happy by giving his consent and seeing he was ready for one more kid in their lives.

"I know that our combined income has been very stable, and I was thinking, perhaps we could—" Suddenly, his wife's lips cut him off, making her answer clear.

*Lemon scenes, can be skipped if uninterested in it—

The Dragonslayer was surprised as he found himself lying on his back with Delia on top of him, straddling his hips. Her hands caressed his chest and trailed down his body, her fingers gently tracing his skin. He couldn't help but feel himself grow more aroused with each touch. She pressed her tongue against his, dancing a sensual tango that ignited his desires.

Delia's enthusiasm ignited a flame within Acnologia, leaving him yearning for her touch. He traced his fingers along her back, feeling the heat radiating from her body as she burned with desire. He longed to taste her, but Delia took control and decided to take charge. She pulled away, her lips swollen and red with passion, but her eyes were filled with a hunger that matched his own. She moved back and deftly untied the string on his pants, pulling them down along with his boxers to reveal his stiff and eager erection.

As Delia's hand moved up and down, Acnologia could feel the smooth skin of his member, the blood pulsing through its veins as it throbbed with need. Acnologia's member felt hot and heavy in Delia's hand, the skin soft yet firm as she stroked him. He could feel every movement, every squeeze and twist, sending sparks of pleasure throughout his body. Delia's fingers traced every vein and ridge on Acnologia's member, feeling its soft yet throbbing texture. It pulsated with each stroke, begging for release. With a firm grip at the base, Delia began to stroke him up and down, repeating the motion over and over again.

Delia kept her eyes on him as she watched his expression while she brought him pleasure with her hands. But before he could reach the peak of ecstasy, she stopped abruptly. Acnologia tried to suppress a moan, but his wife was not going to make it that easy for him. She climbed on top of him and he felt her dripping wetness against the tip of his manhood. As she lowered herself onto him, he couldn't help but feel the heat and tightness surrounding him. She moved up and down, adjusting to accommodate all of him before repeating the motion, both of them enjoying the release of pent up energy through their passionate lovemaking.

As Delia continued to move up and down, her eyes locked onto Acnologia's, the connection between them intensifying with each thrust. The scent of their shared desire filled the air, and the room seemed to vibrate with their combined energy. Acnologia's fingers dug into the sheets beneath them, each thrust deeper than the last as his hips met Delia's, echoing the primal need that had been building between them for so long. The fire within him only grew stronger with each movement, consuming him in a passion he knew he would never forget.

Delia's fingers found his chest again, her touch feather-light as she continued to stroke the length of his body. Her eyes never left his, as she whispered his name, the sound of it echoing in the room like a war cry. Acnologia's body arched up to meet her, his desire for her reaching a fever pitch. His hands instinctively gripped her hips, matching her every movement as they both thrust with equal intensity. She let out a deep moan at the fiery sensation between them, as Ace added a touch of lightning magic to heighten their pleasure. Delia couldn't get enough of this feeling and it only fueled her desire even more. She increased the pace and tightened her grip around him, showing her appreciation for the intense pleasure he was providing.

Acnologia's breath became ragged as the intensity of their lovemaking reached a crescendo. His heart raced in rhythm with her movements, and he knew that he was about to reach the pinnacle of pleasure he had longed for. Delia's eyes locked onto his, her expression a mix of hunger and love that echoed his own. Their bodies moved in harmony, their desire merging into a single, unstoppable force. Acnologia felt as if nothing could ever separate them, not even the fiercest of dragons. He knew that in this moment, Delia was his, just as she was the world around her.

The intense flames within him threatened to engulf them, but instead, it became the catalyst for their love. A blinding light enveloped them, illuminating the room in a radiant glow. It was as if everything around them had turned into a blank canvas, and the energy from their entwined bodies flowed out as they reached their climax together. Acnologia released inside her with a fierce passion.*

He could sense her approaching ovulation cycle through the subtle changes in her scent. He paused, wondering if she purposely dressed up for bed that night. Did she plan this all along, making him believe he was in control when really she was the one pulling the strings?

He watched as she moved closer, her eyes locking with his, a mischievous glint shining within them. She reached out to touch him, her fingers trailing lightly down his chest, sending a shiver down his spine. With a knowing smile, she whispered, "You thought you were the one in control, didn't you?" And in that moment, he realized he was completely under her spell.

(Bwahahahaha! Oh, this is too much. I can't believe it, but I can't complain since we're getting some action! Let's just enjoy this and go along for the ride cause we're in this for the loooong haul. Heheheheee...)

He was impressed by her ingenuity and promised to return the favor when his turn came. They continued to play their game, taking turns and switching positions until they finally noticed it was nearly 2 am. Exhausted but content, Ace held Delia's hand as they lay together. They were both grateful that it was the weekend; with the lab closed on Saturdays, Delia could finally catch up on much-needed sleep next to her equally tired husband.

When Ashi wakes up, it's hard to predict what she will do, but she will likely watch her favorite Poketoons or engage in some other activity to keep herself occupied until her parents come to join her.

At around ten, the couple wakes up and heads downstairs to find Ashi playing with her handheld console in the living room. Her mother goes to the kitchen to prepare a late breakfast while Ace joins his daughter on the couch.

He remembers that they had given her the switch as a Christmas present last year, along with a few kid-friendly games that were supposed to be popular and good for her to connect with others her age. "What are you playing sweetie?" Ashi lifts her head from the screen and smiles at him before showing him the game she was dabbling in.

"Pokemon Crossing Papa, see I made mine into a Dragon, just like you see!" She had chosen Charizard as her character but had altered its color to black and added blue markings that resembled her Papa's draconian form in a mini avatar. Ace's daughter was thrilled with the design she had created and enjoyed receiving compliments from others who called it 'cool.' Ace himself was flattered by his daughter's admiration, knowing that to her, he was the coolest-looking 'Pokemon.'

The Dragonslayer was aware that he should explain to her that he wasn't actually a Pokemon, but he decided to let her enjoy the idea for now.

After all, how many kids can say their dad can transform into an epic Dragon-type? He was content to let her believe what she liked for the time being.

Ashi was delighted with her avatar. She was happy to see that, like her father, she was making friends and helping others through global networking from all around the world. Ace was pleased to see his daughter happy and content.

He watched her interact with her character and saw that she was completing side quests for some of her online friends, all while keeping the TV on low volume to stay updated with the news without disturbing her gaming. Delia called out from the kitchen that breakfast was ready. They both went to see the massive stack of Bluk berry pancakes and Combee honey syrup on the table. They enjoyed a leisurely weekend, knowing they had two days to prepare for their trip. They made sure to handle all of their essential tasks and put everything away.

Delia had taken care of all her paperwork and was confident that if there was anything that needed her attention, one of her fellow researchers would take care of it until she returned. Ace had also sent out a memo via email or text to inform his clients about his planned vacation and that he wouldn't be available during that time. He did include contact information for a few other doctors in case of an emergency, but he was sure everything would be fine. They both turned back to focusing on completing their other tasks in the meantime.

A neighbor would come by to water the plants, while Arche stayed with the other Pokemon at the lab. They thought he'd prefer to relax than to go out traveling at his age.

On the day before their departure, Ace and Delia assisted Ashi in packing her suitcase and made sure that she had all of her essentials. They wanted to ensure that everything was ready for their early morning drive to Kanto Airport, which was approximately thirty minutes away.

Ashi was still half-asleep when they got into the car. However, she became wide awake and alert when they eventually reached the airline's parking lot and immediately headed inside the building.

It was her first time traveling by air, so Ashi was curious to see what was happening in her surroundings. As soon as she entered the airport, Ashi was mesmerized by what she saw.

There were so many people and Pokemon from different regions in one place. It was a fantastic sight to behold!

She stood in a long line with her Mama and Papa, waiting for their turn to speak with the kind lady who would help them check their luggage.

Upon confirming that their flight was still on schedule, the lady wished them a pleasant flight and expressed hopes of seeing them again in the future. After thanking them for her kind service, Ashi's parents gathered their carry-on bags and stepped aside to make way for others. They proceeded towards another long and crowded line further down. Despite the seemingly never-ending queue, Papa explained that it was necessary for security purposes and that they should patiently wait like everyone else.

"It's important you understand that sometimes everyone's safety is necessary to see that no one brings anything dangerous on board while up in the air. So I want you to pay close attention to what we do and see you follow through."

Ashi did as her Papa said and observed as the uniformed personnel and two psychic Pokemon, namely a Mr. Mime and a Kadabra, conducted a psychic reading to check the person before granting clearance to proceed. This was a two-step procedure where the Pokemon scanned the individuals while their belongings went through the screening process via a conveyor with another Pokemon checking for any dangerous or illegal substances.

Ashi watched as her parents removed their electronics from their bags and followed suit by taking out her console and MP3 player from her Eevee backpack. She placed them in the same bin as her father's belongings, while her plushie was set separately with her mother's jacket and both their shoes. Ashi then stepped forward to let the Pokemon check her physically, which took less than ten seconds.

Seeing the Kadabra nod, indicating that Ashi was good to go, she went to where her parents were. They had gathered all their belongings and joined her Mama to put her shoes back on. After that, everything went smoothly, and they could carry on their way towards the boarding gate.

Ashi, her heart pounding with anticipation, observed the bustling airport. People were constantly moving in and out from different gates, headed towards other destinations, and sometimes even crossing paths while waiting for connecting flights.

The thought of the endless possibilities for when she obtained her Pokemon trainer's license filled her mind, making the experience of traveling to various regions even more mind-blowing.

"Ashi, sweetie, don't dally in front of others. We have to keep going."

It was evident that she was observing her unfamiliar surroundings with a sense of curiosity. They knew this new environment could be overwhelming, but they were impressed with how well Ashi handled herself. It was her first time in this place, but she gradually took it all in. They made sure to keep her from getting lost in the crowd by holding her hand while Ace ensured they reached their gate without any trouble.

After finding out that their boarding time was in an hour, the father and daughter decided to take their medicine before getting on the flight. Delia bought a water bottle from the nearby convenience shop, and seeing they both swallowed the tiny capsule with a large gulp.

Then they took a seat in the gate's waiting area and passed the time until they heard the flight attendant calling their group number and joined the remaining passengers for boarding.

Ace had booked economy-class seats for his wife, daughter, and himself. He had his wife and daughter go find their seats while he put their bags in the overhead compartment. He shut the top close before sitting beside Delia, who was between him and their daughter in the middle section.

Ashi got the window seat as they thought she would enjoy the view outside and observe the different types of Pokemon that flew alongside them in the sky once they were up in the air. They watched as the other passengers came to fill up the vacated seat, with the flight attendant assisting them if they needed help locating it. They could hear the captain's voice on the overhead speakers welcoming them on their flight and explaining the expected weather in Johto and the flight's duration.

Ashi was aware that this was her first flight out of Kanto, so she paid close attention to what the airline staff was saying and openly demonstrated some of the proper protocols if something happened on their flight out.

Close by was a tiny humanoid-like Pokemon originating from the Hoenn region, a Kirlia with a flight attire similar to her trainer's that showed she worked alongside her partner. Seeing the Pokemon attracted the younger crowd's attention and was clearly used to help them go through the basics of flight safety procedures. The Kirlia was wearing a floatation vest, and the attendant described how to put air in it.

Upon hearing all of this, Ashi felt unsettled and clutched her doll tightly, hoping that nothing would go wrong on the way there.

Delia must have sensed her daughter's apprehension and reached out to touch her hand, making her look in her direction.

"Don't worry, sweetie, everything will be fine. We're right here with you, so there's nothing to worry about. How about we work on some coloring?"

She had anticipated this and thankfully brought some of Ashi's coloring books to keep her preoccupied. She took out the one she was working on earlier, consisting of all the Kanto's Pokemon. This did the trick as Ashi grabbed her pencil case from her bag and resumed where she left off with the little Pikachu that was halfway finished.

Ace saw that his wife had a handle on the situation and was glad she could calm their daughter down. They knew she might get a little nervous on this trip, so they brought some of Ashi's things to keep her mind distracted.

As she took solace in her doodling, the Dragonslayer noticed her anxiety from earlier gradually dissipating until it was no longer present. He thought her focus on the coloring book would keep her busy until they were up in the air, and then the rest of the journey would be smooth sailing.

He thought it should be happening any moment now when suddenly, the intercom came on, grabbing the passengers' attention. Hearing the captain's voice, he announced that the runway was clear and they were ready for takeoff.

(Finally, let's get this over with. I freakin' hate sitting in this trumped-up metal box! It would've been much better to have just flown there ourselves—Then how would we explain why a giant unknown dragon-like Pokemon is coming out of nowhere and why two people are sitting strapped up on its back like it was a normal thing—Couldn't we pretend that we're some giant Corviknight flying taxi service—All the way from Galar, are you completely mad, not to mention there's no way I'm going to pretend I'm a flying Uber Pokemon, forget it!)

Ace, in an attempt to distract himself, observed the other passengers. He witnessed the swift fastening of seatbelts and the adjustment of chairs into an upright position.

As the plane taxied down the runway, anticipation permeated the air. The plane gradually gained speed, and the Dragonslayer felt the nose tilting upwards, bringing the rest of the aircraft to lean at an angle until they were finally off the ground.

The rush of air, the distant hum of the engines, and the sight of the ground shrinking below them heightened the moment's thrill. The low-pitched rumbling sound persisted, but Ace's attention was drawn to his daughter, who was still intently coloring Pikachu's rosy cheeks. She was wholly absorbed in her activity, unaware that they were airborne until Ace called her name.

"Psst hey Ashi, do you want to look outside and tell me what you see?" Ashi blinked and turned to stare out of the circular window, looking up at the endless blue skies dotted with fluffy white clouds just within reach of the wings.

"Wow, it's so pretty!" she exclaimed, her eyes sparkling with wonder as she gazed out of the small window and took in the vast open space.

Delia and Ace noticed her fascination with the view and were pleased to see her enjoying the scenery. The Dragonslayer took out a book containing crossword and sudoku puzzles he had been working on while Delia read through the latest celebrity news in Kanto Entertainment.

She quickly browsed through the gossip pages before reaching the horoscopes section of the current month and checked what each one had to say.

"Here's Ashi's horoscope," said Delia as she found it and started to read it. Her husband had taken a break from his crossword puzzle and was now looking in her direction with an expression that revealed his skepticism toward horoscopes. He believed they were just vague promises to keep readers optimistic, unlike the ones from his world that held prophetic value.

Despite her husband's incredulity, Delia thought it would be fun to read and see the likely outcomes to tell them about their daughter's future. Ace had taken a quick peek at what it said and saw it was alright, not much to go on, but still sure that Ashi would enjoy hearing this herself.

Ace noticed his daughter was still looking out the window, oblivious to their conversation.

He turned to his wife and loudly remarked, "This is quite interesting. It seems like the predictions in the magazine are accurate for our little girl's future."

Now, that definitely got her attention. She turned to see what all the hubbub was and saw the magazine in her mother's hand.

"Would you like to hear what your future holds, sweetheart?" Delia asked, her voice filled with warmth. Ashi's eyes lit up, and she nodded eagerly, her excitement bubbling over. Delia began to read, her words painting a picture of a thrilling journey filled with new opportunities and people bound to come her way.

Ashi's excitement was palpable as she absorbed every word, her imagination running wild with the possibilities.

"I wish it could tell me more. Is that all?" Ashi asked. The Dragonslayer chuckled, "I'm sorry, but sometimes the future is not set in stone. The only thing you can do is make choices that will influence your future and take action. You are the only one who can control your destiny."

"So, I just have to wait and see?" Ace shrugged, "Maybe, or maybe we're already there, and we just have to keep going until we find it." Ace's words made Ashi smile, and she was excited to start their family trip. She couldn't wait to see what the future had in store for her.

Delia's heart swelled with anticipation as she looked at her two Dragonslayers, and their shared excitement for the adventure that awaited them in Johto was palpable.

The trip was a shared dream, a chance for them to bond over their shared love for exploration and create lasting memories they would cherish forever. But what filled her with the most joy was Ashi's eagerness.

Her anticipation was infectious, and Delia knew this trip would be an unforgettable experience for all of them.
