Chapter 1: 17 Days Earlier
Welcome to Paradise Springs. This city has been called the World's Paradise. It has a lot to love, including stores, theaters, parks, arcades, hotels and resorts at excellent prices, an amusement park, a water park, and much more. Right now, a man who wore a yellow IJIEK shirt was at the water park with two of his loved ones. This man is former motocross champion, Chuck Greene. He's here with his 7 year old daughter, Katey, and his girlfriend, Stacey Forsythe, former leader of the Nevada branch of CURE, who was wearing an orange swimsuit.
"Wow! Dad, this city and this park are so huge!" Katey said.
"I told you this would be the perfect spot for a vacation." Chuck said.
Stacey smiled, "So what's first on the agenda?" she asked.
"I don't know. We could literally start with anything." Chuck said.
"Well, looks like I'm not the only hero here for relaxation." said a familiar voice.
They looked and saw a man with a camera.
"Frank?" Chuck asked.
"Nice to see you, Chuck." Frank said as he walked over and shook his hand.
"Hi, Uncle Frank!" Katey said.
"Hey, short stuff." Frank said, ruffling Katey's hair.
"So, what brings the big shot from Willamette to Paradise Springs? This your next big scoop?" Stacey asked.
"No way, Stacey. I'm not here for work. This is my vacation. By the way, Chuck, I have someone with me you might be familiar with." Frank said before what appeared to be a pile of shopping bags with legs approached.
"Really?" Frank asked.
"Have to spend my riches somehow." said a female voice before she set the bags down, revealing herself to be a woman with black hair wearing a blue swimsuit.
"Isabela?" Chuck asked.
"Isabela Keyes?" Stacey asked.
"It's been a while, Chuck." Isabela said, shaking his hand.
"I got her away from Phenotrans, which is shut down now, by the way. She's earned her freedom and is currently my roommate." Frank said.
"Nice to meet you, Isabela. I'm Stacey Forsythe." Stacey said, shaking her hand.
"I've seen your team's work. Impressive." Isabela said. She then felt someone patting her leg. She looked and saw Katey.
"Hi, there, Miss Isabela. I'm Katey." Katey said.
"She's my daughter." Chuck said.
"Hi there, Katey." Isabela said with a smile as she kneeled down and shook her hand.
"So, how would you guys like to join us here at the water park?" Chuck asked.
"If you don't mind." Isabela said.
"Not at all." Stacey said.
Soon, they had their pool things set up as Chuck and Stacey shared lemonade by a pool. They watched as Isabela played with Katey.
"I think Katey's already taken a liking to Isabela." Stacey said.
Isabela smiled as Katey sat in front of her as they went down a water slide.
"That was fun!" Katey said.
"It was." Isabela said.
"Say, Isabela, can we get some sweets, please?" Katey asked.
"If your father doesn't mind, sure." Isabela said.
"No sweat off my hat. No problem." Chuck said with a smile.
"Thanks, Dad!" Katey called as she walked off with Isabela.
