Kelly sat in her office at her desk. She was surprised that Alex Danvers scheduled a couple's appointment to her. She knew she was helping Karen Danvers deal with her trauma; this … was unexpected.

Kelly heard a knock on the door. "Come in," said Kelly as Alex and Maggie entered her office. They sat on the same armchair, looking at her. "How can I help?"

"Okay, so, you helped my cousin Karen. Maggie and I recently experienced a rather traumatic experience," said Alex.

"An understatement," said Maggie

"Would you be comfortable to elaborate?" Kelly asked.

"Alright. So, several days ago her father kidnapped and tried to kill me," said Alex, pointing at Maggie. "Her father worked for my sister's girlfriend Lena Luthor, who I consider like a sister."

"And my dad was so angry at me liking women, especially Alex. He lost his mind when I became a Kryptonian via becoming Alex's soulmate. Anyhow, my dad kidnapped and tried to kill Alex. I saw his almost stab Alex in her heart with a Kryptonite knife," said Maggie.

"Ya, and Maggie used her heat vision to kill him, while protecting my life," said Alex.

"Holy shit," thought Kelly. Helping Powergirl and Powercop would be … interesting.

Astra was now spending most of her time in a more comfortable cell in the DEO that had a lot of red lamps, but lacked Kryptonite. Astra had a small table next to her bed, a bookshelf with several books, two chairs, and a larger bed. She was still heavily restricted in where she could go, especially unsupervised, but this was definitely an improvement. Astra heard a knock on her door. The door then opened, revealing her beloved daughter Karen. Her girl was wearing a costume!

"Karen!" Astra stood up from her bed, walked to her daughter and hugged her. She hasn't regretted many of her decisions she made; what she did regret was losing her daughter to Cadmus. But her girl was resourceful, she escaped that dreadful Cadmus facility, and made it to the Little One.

Astra finally hugged her daughter. She felt happiness, seeing Karen, her little and brave superhero, just being outside of her former Kryptonite cell, but now she was finally being able to hug Karen. Her Karen, her little daughter. She was so proud of Karen; she liked her suit.

"I missed you, mama," said Karen.

"I missed you too, my love," said Astra. Yes, Astra was imprisoned, but her daughter was safe. That was all that mattered. "Come, sit, I will read you a story."

Astra and Karen sat on the bed; Astra grabbed a book from her bookshelf.

"I love you, mama," said Karen, sitting closely to Astra, and hugging her waist.

"I love you two, Karen," said Astra, opening the book. "Once upon a time –"

Kara entered Lena's office as Kara Danvers. She was glad it was a Saturday; she had a day off, and she fully intended to enjoy spending it with Lena. Lena, her Lena, who was so hard working that she worked even on a Saturday.

"Hi," said Kara, looking at how Lena typed something at her desk. Golly, Lena was such an angel, an angel Kara felt she couldn't live without. Lena was so smart, and kind, and beautiful, so, so beautiful. She smelled nice, had such soft skin, and her laughter always made puppies and kittens appear in Kara's heart. Lena, her Lena was the love of her life.

"Hey, Kara. I was just finishing my work," said Lena, typing a bit more, before closing her laptop. She stood up from her desk and approached Kara, biting her lip, and putting her right hand around Kara's neck. "So, what are we doing today?"

"Golly!" Kara exclaimed. Lena's touch was soft, so soft. "I was thinking, let's visit a science expo, zoo, and take a walk in the park."

The two women exited Lena's office, took a cab, and soon arrived at a science exhibit. Kara enjoyed looking at various scientific discoveries people made. Kara noticed a group of teenagers argue about something; they stood in front of a white board, all holding markers.

Kara looked at the white board and the equations. Hmm, some of those were wrong. Kara and Lena approached the teenagers. "Miss, can you settle our dispute?" One teenager asked.

"Sure," said Kara, taking a marker from the board attachment where several markers lay, starting to write numerous equations on the board. She added several diagrams, then took a step back, and looked at the board. "Here."

"I've never seen these equations," said another teenager.

"My girlfriend is a genius," said Lena, smirking, biting her lip, and putting her hand around Kara's neck.

"And my girlfriend is very modest," said Kara, kissing Lena on her cheek. She returned the marker. Kara smiled, as the teenagers kept examining the new equations she wrote on the board.

Kara and Lena walked around the expo, looking at some space models, robots, model volcanoes, and many other things. Once Kara saw a group of young children with their teacher giving them a lecture on physics. Kara found some metal scraps, arrived in a corner, and tinkered with the metal, creating a puppy, and then bringing it to the children. She smiled, when one young girl exclaimed "a robot puppy!"

Once they were done with exploring the expo, Kara and Lena were sitting in a café; Kara ordered a hot chocolate and a chicken sandwich, while Lena ordered a black coffee with a kale salad. As they were sitting and waiting for their order to arrive, Kara looked at Lena, who sat on the opposite side of their small table. Golly, Lena was so beautiful, Kara was so lucky having such an amazing girlfriend. Lena, her Lena was wonderful. Kara smiled, putting her right hand on Lena's left hand, looking directly in Lena's eyes with loving gaze. Lena, her Lena, Kara wanted to spend her entire life with her girlfriend. They would stop Lillian and Cadmus; they would end this conflict, and then they could go on a vacation. Yes, they should go on a road trip, spending time alone with one another.

Lena smiled. Lena smiled! For several moments, Kara forgot about everything, for several moments, Kara just saw Lena, her Lena, the woman she loved, the woman she wanted to spend her entire life with. Their drinks and food arrived. Kara grabbed the sandwich, starting to eating it quickly. Lena laughed. Lena loved her!

Once they were done with lunch, Kara led Lena to the zoo. She was sad, knowing that some zoos didn't treat animals properly; but she liked looking at the animals, especially large ones.

"Come, Lena, come, let's see this bear," said Kara, leading Lena to a grizzly bear exhibit. The two of them stood outside the bear area. Kara was glad that the National City zoo provided a rather large territory for this bear. This bear in particular was lying on its belly. Hmm, this bear was such a teddy bear. Yes, yes, it was.

"Kara!" Lena exclaimed, as Kara jumped inside the bear's exhibit, and ran towards the bear. The bear sat up, looking at Kara in confusion. Kara launched herself at the bear, hugged it, and lifted the bear a little in the air.

"Lena, Lena, look, a giant teddy bear!" Kara smiled, holding the confused bear a few feet of the ground. She then looked at the bear. "Who is a good bear, yes who is a good bear, yes, you are."

Kara put the bear on the ground, petting its neck, before running away, climbing back to where Lena stood, and hugging Lena. "Is that bear's hair?" Lena said, raising her eyebrow in amusement.

"Yes, yes, the bear was so cuddly! But not as much as you. You are so soft and pretty!" Kara exclaimed.

Lena chuckled. "I would hope so," said Lena, as Kara gave a quick kiss to Lena.

"Let's see some kitties!" Kara said, leading Lena to the big cat exhibit. "Lena, look, a mama tigress and two tiger kittens!"

The tigress lay on her belly, licking her two kittens. Kara then noticed two lionesses play with one another in another exhibit. Kara and Lena observed the big cats; they then travelled to the herpertarium, looking at various snakes, crocodiles, turtles, and frogs. Kara was especially amused with a small garter snake in one exhibit; the garter snake lifted its upper body, showing its tongue.

Kara and Lena spent several more hours at the zoo. They visited a local pizzeria, where Kara quickly ate an extra-large pizza quickly. Lena tried a slice! After they were done, Kara and Lena journeyed to the park.

It was peaceful and quiet. Kara heard water escape the fountain, falling into the pool. Kara saw many pretty purple flowers. The day was wonderful, she was spending it with the love of her life; Lena's smiles brought immense joy to her heart. They kept walking, holding each other's hand. Lena, her Lena, Kara loved her so, so much!

Kara and Lena paused; Kara took Lena's other hand in her hand, and looked at Lena, who smiled. Kara felt as if puppies and kittens would burst from her chest; Kara wished she could take Lena high up in the air, looking at the sky and land below. Lena bit her lip, Lena bit her lip! Golly, Kara loved when Lena bit her lip. She could cuddle with Lena, yes, she would cuddle with Lena this evening. She would give her kisses, all the kisses.

As Kara was looking lovingly at her girlfriend, she heard a meow. A meow? "Lena, did you hear something?" Kara asked.

"Yes, I heard a cat's meow," said Lena. Kara quickly looked around. A cat, there was a cat in the park. She kept looking, spotting a small animal with black and orange fur.

"Meow," the kitty meowed, looking at Kara from the ground. "Meow, meow!"

Why were those meows so sad? Kara approached the cat, and sat on her knees, looking at the cat, who crawled back, making another sad meow.

"Here, kitty, kitty, don't be afraid, I will be gentle," said Kara, extending her hand. The cat at first seemed skeptical. It meowed, and then crawled towards Kara, licking her right hand, using its head and neck to brush against Kara's hand, and then lying on the grass, purring. The cat was purring!

Kara touched the cat, petting the cat's neck. It lacked a collar. The cat kept purring. Kara crawled closer to the cat, and put both of her hands around the cat; the cat continued to pur. "Kara, I think the cat likes you," said Lena, as Kara lifted the cat, who kept purring. Once in the air, the cat meowed, extended its tiny paws and using its front paws put them around Kara's neck.

"It's so pretty, Lena, the kitty is purring!" Kara said, smiling, as the cat kept purring. Kara tried to put the cat on the ground, but it didn't want to let Kara's neck go. "Lena, I think this kitty wants us to keep it."

The cat kept purring. "Lena, we should name the cat somehow. What do you think of Karlena?" Kara asked, seeing Lena's smile. Lena liked the kitty's name!

"I wasn't expecting to get a pet, but this tortie Karlena is a such a nice cat," said Lena, putting her hand gently on the cat's neck. The cat kept purring.

"Lena, I think this kitty likes you too. Let's keep it," said Kara, feeling the cat hug her neck even tighter. "What a snuggly kitty, you are, yes, you get pets, all the pets."

Kara and Lena checked at a local vet to see if the cat had an owner. Nope, the cat was living alone in the park. The vet checked the cat, who turned out to be a girl; Karlena was healthy. The kitty was healthy! Kara and Lena took the tortie cat back to Kara's apartment. Kara radiated with happiness when the cat looked at Lena, extending its paws towards her. Lena took the cat, who instantly hugged Lena's neck. Karlena began purring once more.

Kara and Lena sat on their bed, as Karlena kept being attached to Lena's neck, purring. Lena was so good with cats; Kara was sure that Lena would be good with children too. Children, golly! Kara imagined living in a house with Lena, who was holding a child … Lena, Kara wished the two of them had at least one child someday. Lena made her so happy!

"Kara, I was thinking … once we defeat Cadmus, once it's all over, I would like to find out what happened to my biological mother. I want to learn more about my roots. I know that both of us are busy, but … would you like to help me learn more about my past?" Lena asked. Oh Lena, her Lena wanted the two of them to go on an adventure, finding more about Lena's past!

"Of course Lena," said Kara smiling. "Once we defeat Lillian, once Cadmus is done, I would love to go on an adventure with you. Besides, Alex, Maggie, Hank, and Karen can look after the city while we discover more about your past."

"You are so … good, you would do this for me?" Lena asked, taking Kara's hand in her own.

"Of course, I love you, Lena," said Kara, leaning towards Lena, and kissing her on the lips. Karlena meowed loudly, looking at Kara, and licking her cheek. Kara then stood up. "Brb."

Kara grabbed her purse, and ran out of the apartment. Half an hour she returned, bringing several bags, full of cat food and toys. She would spoil her new tortie cat, yes, she would.

"Let's return to L Corp, I need to speak with Sam," said Lena. Kara quickly changed to Supergirl costume, lifted Lena and Karlena, flying them to L Corp. Once they arrived, Kara took Karlena in her hands, as Lena walked to her desk, calling Sam to come visit.

Sam soon entered Lena's office. "Lena, you wanted to speak with me?" Sam asked.

"As a matter of fact, yes, Sam. Kara and I plan to take a trip to learn more about my past after we defeat Cadmus; I wanted to ask you, Sam, would you help me by becoming a temporary acting CEO of L Corp while Kara and I are away? I also provide some consulting services to the DEO, informing them about various things – I will leave a list for you on the topics I discuss with the DEO; you can call Alex, Maggie, or Hank, and they would bring you to the DEO," said Lena.

"Lena, of course I would help you. You going to discover your past; it's wonderful!" Sam said, approaching Lena, and putting her hand on Lena's shoulder. "The two of us growing up in adoptive families, not knowing about where we came from … Lena, I wish you to find out all the answers you are looking for."

"Thank you, Sam," said Lena.

Sam looked at Kara. "Take good care of Lena for me," said Sam.

"I will," said Kara, smiling, as the cat purred.

"I just must warn you, Lena, when you return, this office will have several more computers and tables; I would like for Ruby to play with Karen and Carter," said Sam.

"How dare you," said Lena. Lena and Sam laughed.

"I will let you know if I spot Cadmus trying to use any L Corp resources," said Sam, walking to the door.

Once Sam left, Kara and Lena walked towards their couch, sitting on it. Karlena climbed off Kara, ran around, climbed on Lena's desk, and curled, falling asleep. Kara sat closely to Lena, putting her hand over Lena's neck. This Saturday was a perfect day for the two of them. Lena, how much she loved Lena!

Cat sat at her desk at home. She finished typing a report; closing her computer, she took her phone, and called Olivia. "Olivia, hey, how are you doing? I wanted to ask, do you have any updates on Cadmus? No? Oh, you dishonorably discharged General Lane? Good, very good. I saw the police issued a warrant for his arrest. Okay, thanks Olivia. Yes, thank you, I also thought I destroyed my opponents in yesterday's debate. Okay, I will let you know if I have more information on Cadmus. Bye, Olivia," said Cat, ending the phone call.

While the authorities haven't captured General Lane or Lillian yet, at least General Lane now faced consequences for choosing to side with Cadmus and Lillian. Good riddance; Cat disliked this man. Cat liked Olivia, but felt her friend was a bit indecisive. Hmm, when she would become President, and she had no doubt that she would, Cat would need to find someone to become her head of security. While Kara or her sister would be great candidates, they were busy in the National City. Oh, an idea appeared in Cat's mind. Perhaps she would observe how a certain Kryptonian general; if she truly reformed, Cat could pardon her and make her work for her; yes, being her head of security would be a great community service for Astra to atone for her former actions.

Lillian Luthor finished extracting the information from the computer. Good, she fooled the Kryptonian computers; she now had full access to the Medusa virus. Oh, what an irony, Kara Zor El's father has developed this virus; she would utilize it. Yes, Lillian would find an opportunity to taunt Supergirl about just who created this virus. Lillian felt slightly frustrated; her research in depowering Kryptonians felt fruitless. Yes, she could just use green Kryptonite or red lamps, but neither solution was permanent. No, she would find a way to fully depower the Kryptonians.

Lillian sighed; her own daughter, granted, not biological, her own daughter was so weak. Lena was smart, but her mind was weak. Perhaps Lillian could break Lena's spirit by killing Kara Zor El and then molding Lena into her perfect weapon. Lillian hoped she would find a way to depower Kryptonians; while Lena was her daughter, she wanted Alex Danvers to follow her footsteps. The elder Danvers girl was much more badass; she was bright, but more importantly, she fought numerous aliens on the daily basis. She even shared the name with her beloved Lex; Lex, her lovely boy, Lillian would avenge him. Yes, she would end the aliens, and then end the Kryptonians. And then Lillian would rule the world through shadows. Soon, very soon, she would use Medusa and achieve all her goals.
