Kara and others were flying back to the city; those who could fly carried the others. This was it; Kara felt this was the night when they would finally put an end to Cadmus. Kara looked at Lena. Lena, her Lena; they would end this feud once and for all.
Cat spoke through mini transmitters that Winn has attached to every single suit or armor gear prior to the group leaving the estate. "Kryptonian and Cadmus forces are scattered in the city. I see a lot of activity around L Corp building and this alien structure. CatCo building is clear," said Cat through the mini transmitter.
"We need to regroup at CatCo and then spread, seeing what is happening in various portions of the city," said Kara. CatCo; Kara was glad that the media building was still standing. Kara was worried that this conflict might destroy the entire city. Cat warned them about a group of Kryptonians and some Cadmus agents in armor suits were fighting in the air in front of them a mile ahead of the group; Kara and others took a small detour, soon arriving at the Cat's balcony. Luckily it was open.
"Okay, let me connect CatCo to the Luthor Estate," said Winn, running to his old desk, and starting a computer, as everyone landed on the balcony, one by one, and looked out of the window.
Kara saw multiple explosions outside the city. "We need to be in multiple areas at the same time," said Hank.
"Agreed. Kara, I am coming with you," said Alex.
Before anyone flew away, a man appeared in CatCo. Mxy! What was he doing here?
"Hello Kara Zor El," said Mxyzptlk.
"You!" Kara said.
"Yes, dear old me. Kara Zor El, don't worry, while I liked you before, what you and Lena Luthor have is something special. Such a soul bond, despite being literally star-crossed lovers … I digress. Anyhow, I didn't come here to fight for your affections, Kara Zor El. No. But I did come here to enjoy this battle," said Mxyzptlk.
"Enjoy this battle?" Kara asked.
"Why, yes! You see, Kara Zor El, you are about to fight both Fort Rozz and Cadmus forces; both Astra and Lillian are in the city. So many people are ready to give you a challenge. This whole situation is so exciting … but with you having so many Kryptonians with you, I thought it would be amazing to see the battle for the ages!" Mxyzptlk said.
"What. Have. You. Done?" Kara asked.
"Not much, Kara Zor El. I just empowered your enemies a bit; after all, I wanted for you and your allies to have an interesting fight," said Mxyzptlk, laughing. "Enjoy my present, Kara Zor El. This night be a true battle for the ages."
Mxyzptlk disappeared. Great. Not only both Astra and Lillian's forces were fighting one another, but Mxyzptlk interfered, making this battle be even more challenging. What the hell was he thinking? He was right, Kara was among friends and family. This battle would hard, but they would prevail.
J'onn and M'gann in their Green Martian forms carried Jeremiah, Eliza, Sam, and Jess down to the street; the two Martians then separated from the four humans. Clark and Lois carried James, Lucy, and Kelly with them, and like J'onn and M'gann brought their three passengers to the street, before flying away.
"I am still not very used to using my powers; I am coming with you as well, Kara," said Lena.
"Same," said Maggie. She then looked at Alex, smiling. "Ride or die,"
"I will help Miss Grant monitor what's happening in the city," said Winn.
"Karen, protect Winn. We will keep in touch," said Kara, approaching her youngest cousin. "Karen, please be careful. Help fight, but please don't engage extremely dangerous opponents."
Karen nodded. Kara, Alex, Lena, and Maggie rose in the air, and flew to check an explosion at a nearby factory. When they were hovering just outside, Alex kicked the door; four women flew inside.
"Get them!" One Cadmus agent spotted them; the room contained twenty? Thirty? There were a lot of Cadmus agents, who pointed their guns at the four Kryptonians, starting to shoot them with Kryptonite bullets. Kara was glad that the shields Winn provided them protected them from these bullets.
An explosion occurred in the building, then another. What was Lillian doing? Was she trying to kill her own forces? Kara spotted a TV turn on that was attached to a corner. Toyman. What was he doing there?
"Supergirl! I see you brough friends! Splendid. I spent months in prison; imagine my surprise seeing Cadmus break me from the prison! I am eternally grateful to Lillian. I am glad we met again; I brought presents," said Toyman, as several giant robot flying moths escaped a box, and flying at the four Kryptonians. Giant robot flying moths, really?
Kara's eyes turned red; she was not expecting the robots to spew some pink jelly that flew at Kara and friends, pushing them towards one of the walls of the building, gluing them. Another group of robots escaped a box; these looked like robot dragonflies. Their appendages were sharp, glowing with a familiar green color.
"I will be happy to dissect you," said Toyman, laughing.
"Winn, find where Toyman is hiding," said Kara through the radio transmitter. She looked at the pink goo, turning her eyes red once more, starting to heat it. While did manage to break the glue that was holding them attached to the wall, she felt that she would need a shower to remove all of it. Alex, Lena, and Maggie also managed to free themselves. The dragonflies flew towards the four Kryptonians but were not able to stab or hurt any of them.
"What, no! How are you resisting my beautiful Kryptonite blades?" Toyman asked in confusion. Cadmus agents resumed shooting them; another explosion occurred in the building. Kara hoped that Winn would find his father soon.
Karen stood next to Winn, who kept looking over the city for his father. "Got it. Karen, my father is in a building near CatCo," said Winn, looking at the monitor. Toyman, that was a silly name. Why was he making dangerous toys?
Karen rose in the air. "I got it," said Karen.
"Karen," said Winn.
"Yes?" Karen asked.
"Please be careful. My father is dangerous," said Winn. Karen nodded. This Winn was a good man; he played with her, Carter, and Ruby. Karen especially liked World of Warcraft. Winn likes games, he would have been a much better Toyman than his evil father. Karen would talk to Winn about becoming a heroic Toyman in the future. That, and she would find him a girlfriend; a lot of her friends and family were in love; yup, Karen would help Winn get a girlfriend. Who was currently single? Samantha? Jess? Kelly? Wait, not Kelly, she only liked women. She would need to talk to Ruby and Carter about this.
Karen flew outside, towards the building that Winn pointed her. She saw an open window, flying inside, seeing Toyman standing by his computer in a rather large room, with several boxes around him.
"Who is there? Hello girlie," said Toyman, pressing a purple button on his computer. One box opened; a robot bear that was two or three meters tall climbed from the box, jumping at Karen. A robot bear? But Karen liked bears!
The robot bear threw its robot right paw at Karen, sending her at the wall behind her.
"Karen, what's the status?" Winn asked through the transmitter.
"Winn, I am fighting your father's robot bear!" Karen said, kicking the robot bear who now rose in the air, flying towards her. Poor robot bear; Karen would ask Winn to reprogram it later. Karen's eyes turned red, sending heat vision that flew through robot's chest, sending it down on the floor.
Karen flew towards Toyman, grabbing him by his vest, and lifting him in the air. "No, don't hurt me!" Toyman screamed. Karen looked at the computer he had; oh well. Her eyes turned red once more, sending red energy rays at the computer, frying it. Still holding Toyman, Karen rose in the air, flying back to Winn. He could help secure his father.
"I've got Toyman," said Karen through the transmitter, flying back to CatCo, quickly returning to the office, and dropping Toyman at Winn's feet.
"Father," said Winn.
"Son," said Toyman.
"I am sorry, father," said Winn, retrieving a taser, and tasing his father. He then grabbed a rope from his desk and tied Toyman. "Alright, Karen, let's see who we can help now."
Kara heard Karen defeating Toyman. Good. The robot moths and dragonflies dropped on the ground. The Cadmus agents screamed, running outside.
"What losers," said Maggie.
"Agreed. Let's go and catch them," said Alex. The four women flew outside the building.
A large alien landed on the ground, tearing down the escaped Cadmus agents. He looked at the four Kryptonians and roared. Why was he familiar? Oh. Draaga, this was Draaga, only much taller. It seemed he was twice as tall, and much more massive than before.
Draaga hit his chest with his fists and roared again. Great, he was strong before, and if his size was any indication, he was probably stronger now. They would defeat Draaga, he might have gotten stronger, but he was up against four Kryptonians.
"Alright, let's deal with him," said Kara, as four Kryptonians flew at Draaga, hitting him from various angles. Kara and Lena hit him in the chest, while Alex and Maggie tried to hit his legs, hoping for Draaga to lose balance and fall. But the alien stood firmly on the ground. Damn you, Mxyzptlk.
Draaga roared, throwing his arms in opposite directions, hitting Kara and Lena, and sending them crashing into a café.
Draaga jumped in the air, throwing his legs forward, and kicking Alex and Maggie away, sending them back at the house they fought Toyman's robots. This Draaga was significantly stronger than before.
Kara and Lena flew at Draaga and continued to throwing punches. Kara once managed to hit Draaga in the eye. He roared, throwing a fist at her, punching Kara, and sending her at a car parked on the street. Kara smashed into the car; she was glad that nobody was inside.
Kara jumped on her feet, seeing Draaga's right hand grab Lena's neck. "Kara!" Lena screamed, as Draaga laughed. He made a step forward. Wait, was he limping?
"Supergirl, time to break this Kryptonian's neck," Draaga laughed. No, not Lena.
"Kara? Oh no, Lena!" Alex and Maggie returned, landing next to Kara.
"Lena, Lena. Draaga!" Kara screamed. She briefly looked at Draaga, seeing him limp again in his right leg. Good.
"Can't breathe," said Lena, wiggling her arms and legs, as Draaga was smiling.
Kara's eyes turned red. "Get. Away. From. Her!" Kara screamed, sending red energy rays at Draaga's leg; the rays hit a small area of the leg.
Draaga screamed, opening his right hand, and releasing Lena, who was still gasping for air. Alex flew quickly to Lena, bringing her to where Maggie stood. Kara meanwhile flew to Draaga and started sending punch. After punch. And yet another punch, this time adding several kicks. Kara was throwing punches; her eyes were still red. Even more punches; Kara lost count, she wanted to make Draaga pay.
After throwing another punch, Draaga fell on his back on the pavement. Kara landed on his chest, putting her foot on his throat. "And stay down," said Kara, as Draaga lost consciousness. No one would hurt Lena and get away with it.
Kara returned to where Alex was checking how Lena was doing, with Maggie standing nearby. "I think you will live," said Alex. Lena smiled.
"Um, we have company," said Maggie, pointing at several Kryptonian prisoners from Fort Rozz; Kara thought she saw ten Kryptonians.
Kara and Lena rose in the air, floating in the air with their backs touching. Alex and Maggie also rose in the air, facing opposite directions, as ten Kryptonian prisoners surrounded them.
Jeremiah, Eliza, Sam, and Jess entered a seemingly abandoned warehouse that was partially lit on fire. Jeremiah knew he made numerous mistakes in the past; he knew him saying sorry wouldn't absolve him of everything he has done. Jeremiah was back with his family; his wonderful wife and girls were back in his life. He would prove to his family that he was back; he would not make the same mistake. Cadmus was dangerous; Jeremiah regretted working for Lillian for so many years. No more. He would gladly go in prison if had too, but he would never again willingly work for Lillian. Cadmus would end; and Jeremiah would finally rest. Perhaps he should take Eliza and go an adventure with her. He spent so many years near computers; once this was over, perhaps he could go to a tropical island and reconcile with him wife. She hasn't given up on him, oh Eliza.
"This building seems abandoned," said Sam, pointing her gun in front of them, as the four humans entered the building.
"It seems quiet … too quiet," said Jess, also pointing her gun away from them.
The warehouse contained numerous piles of boxes. It had one room; the warehouse could probably reach a third floor of another building. Numerous metal planks connected the upper parts of the building; a human could comfortably stand on those metal planks.
"Look here, weapons," said Eliza, pointing at an open box with weapons. Kryptonite guns. They needed to destroy these boxes. He needed to check for any things that could lit the building on the fire.
"Take cover!" Jess screamed, as several bullets flew past them. Jeremiah, Eliza, Sam, and Jess hid behind a pile of boxes.
"What do you have here? Four humans snooping around my weapons. Naughty, naughty. You are not going to leave this warehouse alive … maybe I will keep one of you alive, chained and collared, to have some fun," said Roulette, jumping on one metal plank. And to think she was technically an ally before. No, Cadmus was his enemy; Jeremiah would prove to his family that he changed.
"You!" Jess screamed, sending several bullets at Roulette, who laughed, jumping at another metal plank. "You made Miss Luthor's life miserable. How could she even date you?"
Jess shot two more bullets at Roulette, who dodged.
"Lena tried to escape her family's toxic influence; I looked after my sister for months. And then I went to college, leaving Lena, you webbed her in a life of more toxicity! I am so glad she broke up with you, Veronica!" Sam said, shooting several bullets at Roulette, who dodged again, jumping at another metal plank.
"Catch," said Roulette, throwing a grenade where four people stood; they jumped in different directions, as the grenade hit the ground. Roulette laughed. "Once I am done with you, I will help Lillian kill Kara Zor El and Alex Danvers. I will help her break Lena's spirit; I am sure I can make broken Lena fall for me once more."
Jeremiah saw a bazooka. He smiled. He grabbed it and pointed at where Roulette stood. "No one is hurting my girls," said Jeremiah, firing the bazooka at the metal plank. Roulette screamed as the plank exploded, sending her crashing on a pile of boxes. When Roulette fell, she tried to stand up, shaking her arms and legs in various directions, unable to stand up.
"Ow," said Roulette, as Jess approached Roulette and pointed her gun at her. "I surrender!"
Jess retrieved handcuffs from her pocket and put them behind Roulette's arms.
"Sam, you are injured," said Eliza, seeing some blood on Sam's stomach. She lifted the shirt, exposing Sam's stomach area. "Hmm, you need some medical attention. Luckily, the wound doesn't seem to be serious."
"Ow, ow," said Sam, as Eliza helped her lay down.
"Karen, can you bring a medical kit from CatCo? I saw one next to Cat's desk," said Eliza through the transmitter. Karen soon arrived with the med kit.
J'onn and M'gann just finished fighting with several rogue Kryptonians. The two of them also took down twenty Cadmus agents. "It's nice fighting next to you, J'onn. I haven't fought for many years, but this feels … this feels nice, especially by standing next to you," said M'gann, smiling.
"It's nice to fight side by side with you, M'gann," said J'onn. He has been dating M'gann for several months now. He did suggest to M'gann to come work at the DEO with him, but she refused. He knew that not everyone liked fighting. J'onn would understand if M'gann wouldn't want to fight, and instead live a more peaceful life. M'gann wanting to work with him warmed his heart.
"Look out," said M'gann, as a large White Martian appeared from the shadows.
"A White Martian," said J'onn. They destroyed his family; this White Martian probably came to finish the job. But M'gann … she loved him. When he learned who M'gann really was, he was surprised and confused. But his feelings were strong. The two of them were on the opposing sides, and yet he loved M'gann.
J'onn flew at the White Martian, punching him. But this White Martian was even stronger than before. Mxyzptlk, J'onn would find the troublesome imp, and make sure he wouldn't interfere in their lives anymore.
The White Martian punched J'onn, throwing him on the ground. Damn it.
"J'onn!" M'gann cried, shape shifting from the Green to White Martian, flying at the White Martian, and punching him, throwing him at a wall of a nearby building. "J'onn, J'onn!"
J'onn stood up, seeing his girlfriend standing next to him in her White Martian form. He took her hand, standing firmly on the ground.
The White Martian jumped back towards them. "Together," said J'onn, looking at M'gann.
"Together," said M'gann, looking at him. The two of them then looked at the White Martian, and flew at him, throwing several punching, and protecting one another from his attacks.
J'onn and M'gann threw a punch with their hands next to one another, sending the White Martian on the ground.
"And stay down," said M'gann. J'onn took her hand. The battle was not over, but they could use a moment to rest, being next to one another.
Lucy was running with James and Kelly on the street; occasionally several Kryptonians flew past them. Lucy didn't want to engage Kryptonians; Kara and others could handle them. But Cadmus agents were fair game. The three of them already rescued several aliens from Cadmus.
A few Cadmus agents appeared; James punched the closest Cadmus agent, as the others ran away from them. "I can't believe there are so many Cadmus agents," said Lucy.
"They are so full of hate. Some people are desperate when they commit crimes, but Cadmus … poor Karen. I am glad she is doing so much better," said Kelly.
"I miss my Guardian suit," said James. "I should have grabbed the one I have from CatCo; we just didn't have time."
Lucy stopped running, seeing a man dressed in a military uniform. Dad! Tear escaped her eye.
"Lucy –"
"James, look," said Lucy, pointing at her father, commanding several Cadmus agents across street.
"General Lane," said James, forming fists. Apparently, the general spotted them.
"My, the Olsen siblings corrupting my baby girl," said General Lane, pointing his gun and shooting at them; Lucy, James, and Kelly jumped in different directions.
"Dad, why? How could you work for Cadmus?" Lucy remembered many wonderful times spending with her father during her childhood, but in the last several years he grew into a more hateful man.
"Oh Lucy, I am doing you all a favor. Cadmus is doing good work; we will remove all aliens from this planet. We will this planet, this country, safe for people like us," said General Lane, then looking at James and Kelly, shaking his head. "Once Cadmus wins, I will pull some strings, and send you two to jail. Oh Jimmy, you don't deserve to be with my daughter."
"Dad, please, don't you see? You are wrong. It's not too late for you to realize your mistake; join us, help your family defeat Lillian," said Lucy.
"I am not wrong. Sorry, Lucy. I hope you see that Kryptonians and their allies like these … Olsen siblings are evil and need to be put down," said General Lane, as a squad of Cadmus agents appeared next to him. "Kill Jimmy and Kelly Olsen, but Lucy Lane must be brought alive. You can wound her if you need to take my foolish daughter down."
General Lane walked away, as twenty Cadmus agents began firing at the three of them. James looked at a nearby door, kicked it; the three of them entered the store, and hit behind the counter, as twenty Cadmus agents walked slowly towards the shop, before beginning to fire at them again.
Lucy saw a blue, black, and red flash. Karen, she saw Astrogirl hover in front of them, carrying some large box, putting it next to them. "Winn told me to bring you this, James," said Karen.
James opened the box, seeing his Guardian costume. He looked at Karen. "Thank you, Astrogirl. I am sorry for how I treated you before," said James. Karen nodded, flying away. James smiled, taking his suit, quickly dropping his armor, and putting the Guardian armor on.
"Go, brother," said Kelly.
"Okay, stay behind me. I will shield you two from the bullets. Cover me," said James, standing up. Cadmus agents continued firing at them, but James was now blocking their bullets. Lucy and Kelly grabbed their guns and kept firing back at the Cadmus agents. James kept slowly advancing towards the Cadmus agents, while blocking their bullets, while Lucy and Kelly kept shooting. Once the three of them reached the Cadmus agents, Lucy, James, and Kelly began fighting hand to hand with the Cadmus agents. Luckily for the three of them, this squad of Cadmus agents didn't know how to fight in melee well. Several minutes later, twenty Cadmus agents lay on the ground, as Lucy, James, and Kelly stepped out from the shop.
Kara, Alex, Lena, and Maggie finished fighting yet another squad of Kryptonians. They have defeated three Metallo Cadmus agents. While the Kryptonians they fought were equal to them in strength and power, the four women moved in sync, easily defending one another, and defeating all of them. Kara was glad that J'onn reunited with them briefly, dropping a box with kryptonite handcuffs, which the four women used on defeated Kryptonians.
A red robot landed on the ground in front of them. Red Tornado was back? Kara remembered fighting with a Red Tornado unit before; General Lane … Kara didn't hate many people, but General Lane … he was a jerk.
"Surrender, Kryptonians," said the red robot.
"Red Tornado," said Kara.
"False. My name is Red Volcano," said Red Volcano robot, pointing his hands on the ground, turning it into lava.
"He can turn ground into lava?" Maggie shouted.
"Mother has been busy," said Lena.
"Surrender, Kryptonians, and your deaths will be quick and painless," said Red Volcano, pointing his hands at a building next to them, turning it into lava.
"This lava will not hurt us, but Red Volcano is going to destroy this neighborhood … we need to defeat Red Volcano before anyone gets hurt," said Maggie.
Kara flew at Red Volcano, trying to assess how strong and durable this robot was. As she was fast approaching Red Volcano, lava shoot from the ground, encompassing Kara in a large ball of lava; it then instantly hardened, trapping Kara in solid rock.
"You will be destroyed," said robot. Kara tensed her muscles, smashing the rocks around her body. She then jumped and punched Red Tornado in the head, kicking his robot head of the body. She saw various circuits inside; Kara breathed inside the robot, freezing the circuitry. Red Volcano collapsed on the ground.
Kara flew back to her family. "Seriously, he controlled lava!" Kara exclaimed, as several Kryptonians appeared in the sky. Kara sighed, when would they learn that Kara working with Alex, Lena, and Maggie could take down almost any Kryptonian group of enemies. Kara was proven right, when the four women defeated this group of Fort Rozz prisoners.
"Go us," said Alex, giving Maggie a high five.
"Kara," said Lena. Oh no, was Lena injured?
"Are you okay? Lena, are you injured?" Kara asked.
"No, I am okay. Kara, I am okay. I just … your shield is damaged," said Lena. Kara looked on her shoulder, seeing a damaged shield that Winn made earlier. Oh no. Kara knew she could fix it; she just needed fifteen to thirty minutes before reverse engineering the shield and fixing it.
Kara flew towards the building, putting her right hand on the wall, detaching the shield and examining it. She could easily fix this, she just needed some time, time which she lacked.
"I think I can make some temporary fix," said Kara, looking at the damaged shield. "It might not function to full capacity until we fully fix it."
The door to the building opened; a grenade landed next to the two of them, releasing green gas. Kara coughed, and then screamed.
When the smoke cleared, Kara opened her eyes in horror, looking back, and seeing Morgan Edge stand behind her, with his knife stabbing Kara in the shoulder. Morgan retrieved the knife and put his arm around her neck. His gloves were glowing? Her kryptonite shield was damaged in the worst possible time.
"Morgan," said Lena.
"Stay away from my sister, you freak!" Alex screamed.
"Shouldn't you be in jail?" Maggie asked.
"My, my, four women who want to show that they are strong … apparently, not strong enough," said Morgan, looking at Lena. "Luthor, I tried to ruin your life multiple times. I realized that the way to destroy and ruin you would be to stab where it hurts the most. Lena Luthor, while I don't hold a grudge to Supergirl herself, she … I will kill her. I will destroy your heart, Luthor,"
"Kara!" Alex screamed. Unfortunately for them, two Kryptonian Fort Rozz prisoners appeared on the street, one hitting Alex, and the other starting to fight with Maggie; Lena stood motionless, looking at Kara.
"Lena, look away, please," said Kara as Morgan Edge brought his knife to her neck. While she wasn't bleeding, not yet, Kara felt weak; Kryptonite glow was so close to her neck.
"Kara," said Lena, tears escaping her eyes.
"Lena, I love you," said Kara, feeling the cold radioactive metal touch her neck.
"Say goodbye to your … Kara. Luthor, you are terrible woman, and you deserve all this pain," said Morgan. Lena's eyes turned red, tears still escaping her eyes.
"Lena!"
Red energy shot from Lena's eyes, going through Morgan Edge's head; he dropped the knife, falling on his back. Kara briefly looked back, and then looked immediately away. Oof, this was messy. She looked at Lena, who stood crying on the street. Kara flew to Lena, putting her in an embrace.
"Lena!"
"I couldn't lose you," said Kara. She leaned towards Lena and kissed her. Lena, how Kara loved Lena. Her Lena, the love of her life saved her.
Kara saw Alex and Maggie defeat the two Kryptonians that attacked them. The four of them would soon resume fighting, but for now, Kara wanted to spend several minutes, embracing Lena, her Lena, her hero.
Karen stood next to Winn, looking at the monitor. She liked helping others, she even defeated Toyman!
"Winn, Karen, I want to get into action; it's not as exciting examining the situation in the estate. Karen, can you bring me, my son and Ruby back to the city?" Cat asked through the radio transmitter. Karen liked helping others. She flew to the estate, avoiding Cadmus agents flying in the air in their armored suits, and avoiding adult Kryptonians. Karen first returned to CatCo with Cat, and then brough Carter and Ruby as well. She considered bringing the pets, but Krypto, Karlena, and Gertrude were peacefully sleeping. If the pets were attacked, Krypto could defend them.
Karen soon stood next to Carter and Ruby, as Winn was still monitoring the situation. "I should be able to reproduce the hologram fully somewhere here; I will just need a large enough room," said Winn.
"Use a conference room on the floor below us. Winslow, find General Astra or Lillian Luthor's location," said Cat. Winn nodded. "Carter, Karen, Ruby, go with the hobbit."
Winn took his laptop. The four of them used stairs to travel one floor blow, arriving in the conference room. Winn then put his laptop on the floor, and turned it back on, connecting it to the table at Luthor estate. A large image of National City appeared in the conference room.
"Let's find mama," said Karen. While Winn sat on the chair with the laptop on his lap, Karen, Carter, and Ruby walked through the hologram, zooming in several places in the city, searching for Astra.
Cat looked out of the window, seeing several more explosions. How could Lillian attack their city? She knew that Lillian hated aliens, but attacking the city? Lillian had to know she was endangering numerous lives, humans and aliens alike. Lillian was a monster, she hurt her Lena Kieran. Cat sighed; she should have spent more time with Lena. She knew Lena was a strong and bright young woman, but despite being a powerful person, Cat felt Lena needed a mother figure in her life. When all this crazy stuff would end, Cat would spend more time with Lena.
"Cat, it's a pleasure to see you once more," said Dirk Armstrong, exiting a cubicle. Amazing, this asshole tried to steal her company before, what was he up to now?
"What do you want, Dirk?" Cat asked.
"Straight to the point, Cat? I like it," said Dirk, taking a gun from his pocket, and pointing it at Cat. "Cat, Cat, this can be easy. You see, your friends found out about my attempted hostile takeover. I wished to try again, afterall, I would be a much better person to run this company. I was so glad when Cadmus broke me from prison. Cat, Cat, be a good girl, and do exactly what I say."
Dirk slowly walked towards Cat, who began slowly taking several steps back, before hitting a wall. Damn it, she needed to escape.
"Dirk," said Cat, as Dirk was mere two meters away from her, still pointing his gun.
"Cat, this can be easy or hard. What do you prefer? I can shoot you, of course, but why be so … uncivilized? Cat, look, all I want is for you to sign a document, transferring all your ownership of CatCo directly to me. Make me the new owner of this company, my company, and I will spare your life," said Dirk.
"Never," said Cat. Would any of her friends be able to get here fast enough?
"Your funeral," said Dirk, lifting the gun; it was now facing Cat's forehead. "I have no pleasure in doing this, Cat, but I will enjoy being the new owner of CatCo."
Cat saw the elevator open; Maxwell stepped out, pointing his gun at Dirk, and shooting him in the head. Well, that was one way to deal with this douchebag.
"What are you doing here, Max?" Cat asked.
"I didn't want to miss all the fun," said Max. "Now, where can I find some Kryptonians to shoot?"
Cat shook her head. "If you really want to help, let us help the kids and hobbit to search for Astra and Lillian. I am going with you; I am not staying alone here."
Cat and Max took the elevator to the floor below them, entering the conference room. She might not understand technology as well as her son or Winn or Max could, but she could be useful and search for Astra and Lillian.
Clark and Lois took down three large Metallo units. Those three Cadmus agents had extensive modifications to their arms and legs, resembling machines way more than the previous Metallo Clark faced before. He and Lois saved numerous people in the city, protecting them from rogue Kryptonians and regular Cadmus agents. Working on the field with his wife … Clark needed to fight side by side with Lois more. He loved seeing his wife kick major ass.
"Hello, Lois," said General Lane, entering the street, and making several steps towards them.
"Father," said Lois.
"I am sorry Lois. You were always my favorite girl, but you … you broke my heart when you become a Kryptonian. Don't worry, Lois, I will find a way to turn you back to human. I will find a suitable husband for you, after ending this alien's life," said General Lane, as several Cadmus agents wearing armored suits landed on the ground, pointing their guns at Clark and Lois.
"How could you hate your own daughter?" Clark asked.
"I hate what she has become. She is a human, a proper girl. I will have my daughter back," said General Lane.
He gave signal as the Cadmus agents rose in the air and flew at Clark and Lois. Even with their Kryptonite weapons, these Cadmus agents were no match for the two of them. Good. They would defeat these Cadmus agents and then capture General Lane.
"I am sorry honey, but it is the only way," said General Lane. "I noticed that you Kryptonians are immune to Green Kryptonite somehow. Let's test if you are immune to this."
General Lane fired a bullet at Lois; it broke, releasing red particles at her. Clark and Lois punched the Cadmus agents, sending them on the ground.
"Father, what have you done? Oh, I feel so good, I feel alive!" Lois exclaimed.
"Enjoy seeing your wife hating you, Superman. Now, if you excuse me, I have a city to conquer and kill the other Kryptonians," said General Lane, as Lois threw a punch at Clark.
"Lois, this isn't you," said Clark, as Lois threw another punch. Clark read the notes on Red Kryptonite; it made Kryptonians angry, but it slowly turned people evil, not this fast. General Lane had to have experimented more with Red Kryptonite, making it affect Kryptonians faster.
"I hate you, Clark," said Lois, throwing another punch. No, he couldn't hit the woman he loved.
"Lois," said Clark.
"That's a Lane for you, Superman. My father is right, you are a menace, an evil alien. I will enjoy ending you," said Lois, throwing a kick. Clark knew Lois hadn't meant any of that; it still pained him to hear Lois say these words.
"I need help. I need an anti-Red Kryptonite gun," said Clark through his transmitter, as Lois landed a punch on his face, sending him on the ground.
"Fight me, fight me, you evil Kryptonian alien," screamed Lois, trying to kick Clark; he rolled on the ground, standing up. Lois flew to Clark, trying to punch him; Clark managed to block most of her punches.
Clark and Lois kept exchanging punches. Clark flew up in the air, wanting to get away from civilian infrastructure. Lois followed.
"Clark Kent, Superman. You claim to be so strong, so … super, and yet you fly away from the fight with your wife. Well, don't worry, you won't be a super for much longer. I will find a way to stab you in the heart," said Lois, flying at Clark, landing a hit on his chest and sending Clark crushing at the street.
Clark stood up, seeing Lois hover in the air. "Lois, you are stronger than this," said Clark, seeing his wife's eyes turning red.
"I think I can help," said Karen, landing next to Clark waving at him. Karen, Clark was such a jerk before to his young cousin. He was so wrong; Karen was his family. Karen flew next to Clark, handing him a familiar gun. "Okay, bye. We are looking for mama and that evil Luthor.'
Karen flew away. "You plan to use this toy at me? I feel so strong! My father opened my eyes. I see truth. You are a menace; no toy of yours will defeat me," said Lois. Tears escaped his eyes. Clark didn't want to hurt his wife, but he had to stop her. Clark rose in the air, flew to Lois, and grabbed her.
"Unhand me, Kryptonian," said Lois, as Clark shot the gun at Lois.
"I am so sorry," said Clark, as Lois started falling, closing her eyes. Clark carried her on the ground, holding Lois. General Lane, how could he do this to his own daughter? Clark sat on the ground, holding Lois in his arms.
Ten minutes later, Lois opened her eyes; Clark was still holding her gently in his arms. "Omg, I am so sorry, Clark," said Lois.
"I love you, Lois. Your father tried to turn you against me; I am glad that my cousin helped us. She is a brave little girl," said Clark, smiling at Lois. "Lois, I love you. You are an amazing woman Lois, a Superwoman."
"Superwoman," said Lois, smiling. Clark and Lois leaned towards one another and kissed.
Kara made temporary adjustments to her Kryptonite shield; she would need more time to fully fix the damaged shield. For now, it would do, for now, she had at least some temporary protection against Kryptonite.
Kara was sitting on the pavement. Her family and friends defeated so many people this night; only General Lane, Cyborg Superman, Lillian and Astra were still unaccounted for. Astra, she had to talk her aunt down. Kara knew that it would be difficult for her, but she knew that she could defeat her aunt. Kara just wished that Aunt Astra would see reason. She wished that Aunt Astra would realize that she was wrong; Kara believed with all her heart that Aunt Astra would stop this fight and be on her side. Kara refused to believe that Astra would be consumed with anger and madness like Lillian was.
Other people began to arrive. First, Clark and Lois landed on the street. Then, J'onn and M'gann arrived. Kara saw Jeremiah, Eliza, Sam, and Jess walk towards them; Eliza was holding Roulette's handcuffed hands, while Jess and Sam walked behind her, pointing their guns behind Roulette's back. Kara saw Karen land on the street, waving at her. James, Lucy, and Kelly arrived; was James wearing his Guardian suit? But he wasn't wearing it before. Kara needed to ask him how he acquired his suit.
Kara stood up. Almost everyone was here; she smiled; they would battle their enemies together. Stronger together. Kara felt that victory was close.
"What. Is. That?" Alex asked, pointing her hand at a huge robot-like structure landing on top of an abandoned warehouse. It probably was at least fifty feet tall. Kara wondered if it was a robot or if this … thing had a human piloting it. An image appeared on the robot's face. General Lane. Of course. That man didn't want to give up.
"Father, what the hell?" Lois asked.
"Dad?" Lucy asked.
"Hello kids. As you can see, Lillian has designed this amazing suit for me; I am looking forward to annihilating your friends. While you all have some sort of Kryptonite protection, I believe this suit has enough firepower to overcome your protection," said General Lane, pointing the suit's gigantic hands at the group, and firing at them. People scattered. General Lane laughed, sending more green energy beams across the city, destroying several buildings.
"Dad, stop this madness! You are going to destroy this city block!" Lucy cried.
"Acceptable losses. Lucy, this is war," said General Lane, sending more Kryptonite beams at everyone.
Kara pushed Jeremiah away from her, which resulted with her getting hit directly with one of the green beams General Lane fired. Kara hated how General Lane was right. While the beams were not strong enough to hurt her family, their shields holding, her own shield crashed, and Kara felt Kryptonite in her body.
The other Kryptonians together with two Martians flew at General Lane, punching the suit. He ignored their attacks, waving his hands in all directions, trying to land a hit.
"Supergirl was affected. Interesting," said General Lane, sending another Kryptonite beam at Kara. She screamed. Kryptonite, so much Kryptonite!
"Get away from my sister," said Alex, landing in front of Kara, she tried to move, but felt weak with Kryptonite still being in her system.
"Don't you hurt my girlfriend," said Lena, also landing in front of Kara. Maggie, Karen, Clark and Lois landed next to Alex and Lena.
"You are making it easier for me," laughed General Lane, pointing both suit's hands at Kara. "I will annihilate all eight of you at the same time."
Kara still felt weak. She saw Alex's eyes turn red; the others followed. Seven pairs of red eyes were looking at General Lane's giant mecha suit.
As soon as he shot Kryptonite beams at Kara, seven sets of red beams shot back at him, hitting the Kryptonite energy, and keeping it away from Kara.
"Kara, get away from here," screamed Alex. Kara weakly stood up but fell. Meanwhile, Kara saw how her seven family members kept green energy at bay, now allowing it to reach her.
"More power, I need more power," said General Lane, trying to shoot more intense Kryptonite beams. Kara spotted the mecha suit's middle portion began to glow.
"General Lane, stop this madness, don't you see? If you continue, you will overload," said Kara, as Lane laughed, and fired more intense beams. She saw J'onn grab her and fly Kara away from where she lay on the ground. At the same time General Lane screamed; Kara saw a green explosion in the middle of the mecha suit. Kara looked away as the pieces of the mecha suit scattered everywhere.
"Dad," said Lucy, tear escaping her eye. Lois flew towards Lucy, hugging her sister.
"Kara? Kara!" Lena screamed, flying towards Kara.
"It hurts," said Kara, as Lena flew away from the area, soon returning, carrying some yellow grenade. Lena promptly threw it at Kara.
Kara felt energy return to her body. Lena, her Lena just gave her a large boost of yellow sun energy. Kara felt she could move the planet; this felt good. Ah, so much energy.
Kara saw Mxyzptlk appear in the air before them.
"You," said Kara.
"Hey, Kara Zor El. Good battle, I must admit, this battle is nice. I saw you trying to find Astra and Lillian using some tech. It won't do, no, we should make this more interesting," said Mxyzptlk, dropping some device on the ground that released an EMP energy wave. Strangely, the wave didn't seem to affect anything.
"Kara, why can't we see the hologram anymore?" Cat asked through the transmitter. Okay, so the EMP did affect CatCo. Mxy! He wanted to make it harder for Kara and her allies to find Astra and Lillian. She looked at Mxyzptlk, who chuckled, disappearing.
"Let's make sure no one was injured in this battle," said J'onn.
"Yeah. Split up, if you spot any enemy combatants, let others know," said Alex. People began to leave the street; only Kara, Alex, Lena, and Maggie remained. Karen flew to check how her friends were doing at CatCo.
Kara looked at Alex, Lena, and Maggie. "We defeated so many villains tonight. We haven't found Cyborg Superman yet. General Lane is dead. Let's find Aunt Astra and Lillian Luthor and end this feud," said Kara.
"Together," said Alex, putting her hand on Kara's shoulder.
"We will stop mother tonight," said Lena.
"We will stand as one," said Maggie, smiling.
Kara rose in the air. "Let's find Aunt Astra and Lillian Luthor," said Kara, as Alex, Lena, and Maggie rose in the air.
Astra stood in the control center of Fort Rozz. She felt so much more powerful this; Astra knew she was a powerful woman on this planet with a yellow sun, but this felt different. Astra felt her powers multiplied. She smiled. She would end Cadmus. She would conquer the planet, saving it from its demise. She just hoped her family would understand why she had to do this. Her family … Astra felt pain in her heart. If her family didn't forgive her, no, Astra would be strong. She was a General of Krypton. She knew how to make difficult decisions. She would save the planet, even if destroyed her own heart. Astra was strong, she would endure even hatred from her family. She couldn't break. Astra walked towards the open window of Fort Rozz, rising in the air. Tonight, she would find Lillian, tonight she would conquer the world.
Lillian stood in a small warehouse in the city. She wanted to return to L Corp; Lillian would return there once she defeated all these alien invaders and these Super Friends. She would conquer the world, and remove all aliens from this planet, her planet.
Lillian felt an incredible rush of power. Lillian was surprised, briefly at a loss of words. How could she have felt so strong? Whatever it was, whatever gave her this power, she had power. Lillian smiled; she would use this newfound power to stop all these aliens.
Lillian walked towards the table, grabbing a gun, and pointing it at her other hand. She shot a bullet; to her amazement, she saw the bullet bounce off her body, hitting a wall. Lillian opened the table's drawer, lifting a piece of green Kryptonite rock, and holding it in her hand. She didn't feel any pain.
Lillian focused, wanting to see if she had any other powers. She saw herself rise in the air. Smiling, she flew towards one of the walls of the warehouse, making a large hole in it. Lillian laughed. She was bulletproof, she had superstrength, flight, and immunity to Kryptonite. She didn't know how she acquired all this power, but she didn't care. She had so much power, and she would use it to kill all the Kryptonians, break her daughter's spirit, and conquer the world.
