So… got an update for you. But don't take this as a sign that I've changed my mind about moving to A03. I'm an author of my word: I'm still leaving by June 20, but as promised, I'll still be updating for you here until that day, then AO3 is my new zip code for a while until this website changes for the better. In any case, enjoy this update.

Back at it again, guys. Been a while, but I'm still moving and grooving. To refresh your memory (or in case you missed last chapter), Tails finally joined the ORC after finding his own way to the DXD universe. However, before we continue with the main story, Your probably curious as to what Tails has been up to while he was looking for Sonic. He didn't just fly around looking for him, he has met a few residents of this world during the time gap between him arriving and him finding Rias about to fall into the beach due to her exhaustion from her first experience of a Special Stage.

So before we get back to the main story, why not take a closer look at what exactly Miles Prower was up to while searching for Sonic? This won't be too long of a chapter, but it's not exactly filler either, as it will come back to be used as payoff for another season in the future. And if I can ask a tiny favor, this will be my first time writing Tails in any fanfic, so let me know if I did his character justice. Let's fly high so we can reach the highest of all the heavens!

Oh, there are 2 Smash Bros references in here for you to seek out; along with an IDW character reference. And if you can find the hidden Nazo reference, I'll be impressed. Of course, If you don't find them, Sonic Movie 3 will flop, and Sonic X Shadow Generations will be cancelled . We don't want that, so be sure to find them all. Season 2, Chapter 1.5 - Tails' Arrival:

Right now, a mother and daughter were just enjoying each other's company on one of the few days that the mother didn't have any work to attend to. The daughter was young girl with the appearance of a cute elementary school student, maybe a few months younger than Tails. She has golden, blonde hair tied in a ponytail and matching eyes. She also has nine golden fox tails and matching ears. As for what she wore, it was a traditional miko outfit. This was Kuno, the nine-tailed Fox.

As for her mother, she was basically an older-looking version of her daughter, yet still very much in her prime. She was a woman in her 20's or early 30's with a voluptuous figure and very long blonde hair with matching eyes. Unlike her daughter Kuno, her hair is usually tied in a loose ponytail, reaching all the way down to her legs that ends in a spiral, with taut bandages to keep it in place. She wears a traditional shrine maiden attire. This was Yasaka, and as the highest class of Youkai, she was also the leader of the Youkai faction.

On most days Yasaka had various duties to perform as the leader and guardian of every Youkai within one of Japan's most famous and traveled-to cities. That meant lots of work to ensure that their society remained a secret and very little relaxation time for her. So when Yasaka had a chance to spend time with Kunou like this, they would always close off the trail to their shrine (which doubled at their home) and enjoy each other's company while doing idle things like talk, eat lunch or just stare at the clouds passing by together in silence. Today was actually the day of a special yet semi-official Rating Game between Rias Gremory and Riser Phenex, and while Yasaka had an invite to this event including the following engagement party for Rias and Riser's marriage, she declined to go to either of them. She really just wanted to spend time with her daughter.

At the moment the two were lying side by side on the roof of the shrine and watching the clouds go by. Were it any other day, the two would have likely remained there for hours before some Youkai causing trouble or bothersome bodily need like hunger or thirst forced them to leave the area. But not today.

It was at this moment that Kuno was the one to notice a strange plane in the sky...

That plane was Tails' Cyclone, having following the travel of Sonic's signature. It was at this moment however, the signal tracking Sonic was lost, the words SINGAL LOST flashing on his radar screen. This was because at this exact time, Sonic was teleported to that previously mentioned Rating Game in an alternate dimensional space, hence why the signal suddenly disappeared. Of course, Tails didn't know this information, so he did slightly panic, not understanding why Sonic's signal faded away.

"Huh? He's gone?... hang on, maybe it needs a reset..." Tails said, attempting to run some troubleshooting on why Sonic's signal mysteriously disappeared. This was a new dimension after all, so maybe it had an affect on his instruments. However, this was the least of Tails' concerns as he felt he hit something... or rather, something hit his plane.

When he looked on his planes right wing, nothing was there, but on the left wing was a small animal of some kind, just not one he recognized, let alone natural. It was best described as a weasel with tiny sickles on its feet for claws while it was leering at him. Unbeknownst to his knowledge, this was a Kamaitachi, a youkai that flew along air currents... it didn't look too happy as Tails indirectly interrupted its flight, and it gave Tails a hiss. It would try to jump at him, but either it mistimed its leap (even though Tails ducks his head) or the speed of the plane was faster than it anticipated.

That was not the main issue Tails now had to deal with, because now there was a few rather large tears in one of the Cyclone's wings due to the Kamaitachi's really sharp scythe-like claws, an alarm telling Tails if this even after he already saw it. Now because air was moving through the wing and not past it, not to mention the speed Tails was flying at, it caused Tails to start losing control of the flight, with more pieces of the wing starting to tear off as well. He tried steering the plane away from hitting the buildings and while that was easy enough, the Forest of Life was another story...

The crash was rather difficult to ignore, so Yasaka sent a search party to investigate what happened. She would assume it was another human doing something stupid, but neither her or her daughter was prepared for what the party found and returned with when they called Yasaka in... they saw Tails in a medical bed, but he was currently unconscious, presumably from the crash. But what's most noticeable about him was his color, height and appearance. His coloring gave off the impression he was older or around the same age as Kuno at the very least, yet he only had two tails as opposed to the nine Fox youka usually have by age 6. It was honestly kinda confusing.

"Alright... so if I'm understanding this correctly, this Kitsune was flying that plane?" Yasaka asked the nurse, who was a female Karasu-Tengu.

"We found him at the crash sight in the cockpit. We had some of our specialists take the plane to examine it... it was extraordinary. Nowhere near like the planes the humans make... but they'll be able to explain in further detail than I can. As for our patient, his heartbeat is regular and breathing is still normal even after such as crash. By all accounts, he's perfectly fine." Said the Tenju nurse.

"And his tails?"

"Right... it is a bit strange, but as for why he only has 2 tails, perhaps its a birth defect."

"But you just told me he has no Fox fire or any youkai energy because of that."

"It may be for the same reason..."

As the 2 of them were conversing, Kuno herself approached the unconscious Tails, her small hands on the edges of the bed... poor guy, and he was really flying the plane she saw? He must have been really smart to fly and operate a piece of machinery that advanced. Kuno couldn't help but keep staring at his face... she was obviously concerned for a fellow youkai. And he didn't have fox fire? Like at all?... and she was still learning to control her own. Now Kuno didn't know why, but something felt very different about him...

That's when she noticed his eyes started to slightly flutter...

"... he's awake..." Kuno whispered at first, then looked back to her mother and the doctor. "Mother! He's waking up!" This of course got there attention right as Tails finally started to come too. He then slowly sat up, and held his head as he did so.

"Hmmmm... what happened...?" Tails said as he slowly opened his eyes, not expecting to be greeted by 2 foxes with even more tails than he had.

To him, Yasaka and Kuno looked like a creature he would see from his short time in a certain universe when he would watch Sonic throw a Poke Ball and one would randomly show up from time-to-time. The big difference here, was the 2 in the room were standing on 2 legs like he did, with the nurse being some kind of hawk which he could swear had some resemblances to Star Foxes partner (albeit her feathers were a different color). He was a tad bit shocked and did reel back in the bed for a moment, but they made no moves to restrain him or attack so he quickly calmed down.

"... hi..." was all Tails could say.

"Are, you alright, mister?" Kuno asked.

"Um.. yeah. I'm fine. Guess I must've passed out after the Cyclone crashed..." Tails said, still trying to calmly piece together what was going on. The Tenju doctor of course was having a near breakdown, looking through her notes.

"How are you fine?! You were found unconscious in a plane crash! Even Princess Yasaka would need at least a day to recover!" The doctor said.

Tails smiled nervously and shrugged. "Well, me and my best friend once got shot down by a flying fortress's laser cannon..." he said, reminiscing about one time in particular. The reaction was more stunned silence, which he expected... even he couldn't believe that story sometimes.

Kuno looked rather impressed though. "Wow... you must be a super strong Kitsune like mother! And you only have 2 tails!"

"Nope... just a mutant." Tails joked, chuckling again. The only Kitsune he knew was one that could manipulate water. And while he was gonna say they didn't actually exist for real, unless those large tails they had were fake, 2 of them were literally before him in the same room. The smaller one did have a cute, childlike innocence to her; something that reminded him of a few Mobians of similar personalities. "I was looking for someone when this weasel-thing with really sharp claws as sharp as scythes flew into the Cyclone."

"Weasel-thing within sharp claws as scythes?" Yasaka repeated, then heaved a small sigh. "Must've been a Kamaitachi. Very active this time of year."

"Mhmm. Your telling me..." the female Tenju nurse began. "I have fly out of my way around the other way just to avoid those things and come to work in one piece. Get me nearly every time... If you were flying past a cyclone, that explains it. They love riding in those things..." It at least sounded like the girls understood where Tails came from and why exactly he crash landed, although misinterpreted what kind of cyclone Tails meant.

"Oh, no. The Cyclone is my planes name. I wasn't flying into one... though it wouldn't be the first time..." Tails said, some more memories being thought up on his misadventures involving tornadoes. "Thank you very much for pulling me out of it though. I should be going." He was about to hop out of the bed when the Tenju doctor stopped him.

"Oh no, darling. Not until I'm fully sure you're as good as you say, so I'm gonna need to run more tests." She said.

"Yeah! Please don't leave just yet! Not till your all better!" Kuno said, slightly begging him to stay. It was cute, but not only that, there weren't many foxy OK like herself running around. She and her mother were only some of the few, and while that's not to say she didn't have friends have her own, not many looked like her per se. This was kind of a breath of fresh air.

"You can do what you want, but if you can endure a plane crash, then whomever your friend is can probably survive a fall from space." Yasaka said, which she was joking, but Tails mentally sweatdropped... joke or not, she wasn't exactly wrong. "I'll even send out a search party while you rest, just give us a description. That is, if your going to stay for a bit longer?"

Tails thought about this... sure he would eventually find Sonic, but if this fox princess could send out a group to look for Sonic, it would ease his nerves on his big bro since Tails was not sure of the layout of this dimension. Plus he definitely be able to focus more on repairing his plane instead of half his mind worrying about said Blue Hedgehog.

Tails would be allowed to start repairing the Cyclone the following day in a workshop provided by Yaska and near her residence. As it was only a damaged wing, it shouldn't have taken that long as he could normally fix such a minor issue in as less as an hour. However, the damage from that weasel thing, which when he described it to Yasaka who then confirmed it's real name was a Kamaitachi and what it was known to do. They were much like pests in the supernatural world like rats in a kitchen. As you can probably gather with this, he decided to stay, much to Kuno's joy. In fact, the little girl tried to keep as close of an eye on him as possible.

As for that search party Yasaka offered... many groups went, but nothing yet matched the description of this "Sonic" character Tails had offered them with pictures from his handheld device he called Miles Electric.

While he was repairing the Cyclone's wing, he would of course fly between the floor of his tools in Item Boxes that he had and back up to the plane itself... he made Dummy Ring Bombs in the past by repurposing empty Item Boxes' properties into a discharging mechanism as an attack against enemies, so tweaking this ever so slightly to store other items such as tools was a no-brainer. Simple reverse engineering.

Regardless, Kuno would watch in him awe as he would work; especially when he flew around the way he did. Despite all the power they had, Fox Youkai's like herself couldn't fly, so it was incredibly interesting to her that Tails could perform such a feat. The most Kitsunes could do was jump very high and far, and teleport with magic, but not gain height and keep it how he could... And the stories he told! One about him saving an entire town all by himself, another about he broke a friend out of prison when he was falsely accused, and even when he chased after an evil witch in a mine cart... his life sounded much more in than her simple existence.

"How are you flying like that? Mother can't do that!" Kuno asked as she watched Tails fly over her to one of his planes wings once again. It fascinated her a Fox Youkai her age could do things even her own mother couldn't do.

"Just a special talent I learned I have." Tails responded as he continued to work on the Cyclone, screwing something back into place.

As he was still working, he wasn't paying much attention to the curious Kitsune as she looked over more of his tools, particularly the Item Boxes. When she picked one of them, which had what appeared to be the number 10 next to golden rings, she examined it by turning and looked all over it. All it appeared to be was a bubble with a red top and bottom. When she held it at a diagonal angle, her fingers grazed the bubbly part a bit harder than she intended too, and a low *poof* sound went off before the same number of rings materialized in front of her due to the angle she held the box at, which was accompanied by dinging sounds as the Item Box also seemed to "pop" and disappear completely.

Tails did pick this up with his ears, as he found it strange to hear his Dummy Rings go off... then he remembered he wasn't alone in the room...

"... Kuno! Don't touch-...!" Tails attempted to warn her, but it was already too late. Kuno already began to reach for one of the pretty Rings that caught her eye...

ZAP!

"Ahhhh!" The very second Kuno's fingers grazed one of the pretty Rings; she whined as she felt a sharp, painful electrical shock throughout her entire system when the Ring disintegrated upon touching it. It wasn't allot, only from a single Ring, so she only felt the pain in her fingers and hand. She was holding her hand as if that would help subside the pain and while she did have her own healing abilities, they were underdeveloped due to her age. This pain was incredible, having never felt something like this before.

Thankfully this pain didn't last too long because again, it was only a single Dummy Ring and began to fade away, but it still was a shock (pun unintended) to her system. When Tails landed before her, he summoned out a small white robot drone from an Item Box he had quickly grabbed among the rest . The little robot flew over to Kuno, then a yellow beam of energy pulsed over her body. It was warm honestly, and the pain in her hand began to dissipate faster a few seconds later. Then around that same time, the drone itself powered down and disintegrated itself as if it never existed. After that, Tails got closer and checked her hand without a second thought or any level of hesitation, both his gloved hands holding Kuno's own hand a he made sure she wasn't hurt anymore... Kuno couldn't help but blush a little at this, not only from being touched, but because of how focused and attentive Tails was so quickly.

"Are you okay? Are you still hurt?" Tails asked in a gentle tone, which did make Kuno flush a tad bit more but she eventually willed it away. She also noted the rest of the Rings she did not touch also vanished.

"... N... No... I... I'm fine..." was all she could say. "What... were those things?"

"The Drone and Rings?... The drone was my Medi-Bot. Pretty self-explanatory. As for the Rings... they weren't real. It's a trap I invented which paralyzes anyone or anything not matching my DNA or energy signature. Thankfully, you only touched one, so there shouldn't be any permanent damage." Tails explained, still checking her hand just in case. The Dummy Rings also had explosive properties but number one, she didn't touch enough for that effect to go off; and number two, she probably didn't need that information right now. Last thing Tails wanted was for her to freak out.

"Try to be more careful around my stuff, okay?" He added with a kind and friendly smile, which did make Kuno's eyes lock into Tails'.

"Ye... Yeah... okay..." she said softly, her eyes still stuck looking into Tails' honestly pretty blue eyes. She would blink once and then force herself to look away.

After 2 days passed, Tails was finally finished repairing the Cyclone back to its full glory. He actually did finish the same day when Kuno accidentally zapped herself, but as he told Dr. Eggman once before, he always double and triple checked like any scientist should before feeling he was ready to take flight and get back to his main mission. Speaking of Kuno, every time he went to repair his plane, she'd be by his side. She was even a decent assistant like while he was busy with welding the wing or something and instead of stopping to get something he need, she would hand it to him instead like an extra tool or even a bottle of water.

Wiping the sweat from his brow, Tails admired his handiwork. "Phew. Finally done. The Cyclone is ready for takeoff!"

Kuno heard this and was happy Tails was finally ready, and she too felt accomplished from assisting him... but she felt a small pang in her chest when the word 'takeoff' fully registered in her brain. It shouldn't have really come as a huge surprise, Tails couldn't stay here as he mentioned he had to find his lost friend, but the thought of him leaving after getting to know him for the past few days... it made her feel funny. Well, not funny exactly, but... it was an odd feeling, and she couldn't really explain why she felt it. She'd usually only feel something like this when her mother Yasaka was off doing her duties and didn't come home for a bit.

Getting an empty Item Box; Tails had it absorb the Cyclone, picked up his other tools and Item Boxes, and put them all in hammer-space... seriously, Kuno still didn't understand it, even after witnessing it for several days now. He wasn't shoving stuff in his tails or up his butt, that was obvious; but how else was he doing that without any magic in his body?!

"W-Wait!" He was just about to leave the workshop and probably reopen the Item Box containing his plane as he was in the door, when Kuno suddenly and quickly that blurted out. Tails stood in the workshop's doorway with his back facing Kuno, and turned his neck to see her upon hearing her, looking at her with a questioning look that silently asked her what's the matter.

"Are you... leaving so soon?" She asked, glancing away midway as she asked her question.

"That was kinda the idea." Tails said, turning around completely while holding his hand on the door's frame. "I really appreciate the hospitality you and your mother gave me Kuno, but I have to find Sonic."

"Oh no, I know... it's just that..." Kuno thought hard about how she would ask her next question. "Um... it is the late afternoon and will be dark soon, so... maybe spend one more night?" She tried not to sound like she was begging, and she didn't think it was, but part of her really wanted just one more day with Tails around. This was of course a Kitsune like herself, like a normal fox, her eyes were equipped with night vision, but she didn't know if Tails had it too.

Now Tails did think about this. Flying at night was not a problem actually, as due to being an anthropomorphic alien fox, his eyes were equipped with night vision... did she not have it at all? She did seem really worried about him, and it's not like Sonic was entirely helpless on his own... maybe he could spend one more day. It was hard enough transporting himself here as it was.

"Well... I guess one extra day to rest wouldn't hurt..." he said in a nice tone. Immediately upon his declaration, Kuno's face immediately lit up with joy.

Kuno would spend every second with Tails the rest of that day, not leaving his side even as he stayed for dinner. Yasaka cooked Kuno's favorite, boiled tofu, and even Tails really liked it. Tofu wasn't really known to have much flavor, but whatever Yasaka did or added to it made a huge difference. Speaking of the mother Kitsune, she couldn't help but lowly chuckle at her daughter's actions towards their guest. She sat right next to him, which wasn't enough evidence in itself, but it's the fact she been attached to Tails the moment he "dropped in". Could be her daughter's curiosity... or it could be a cute schoolgirl crush. But regardless of what it was, she just let nature take its course.

After dinner was eaten, Kuno looked out on the roof to the night sky, seeing a few stars and of course requested Tails to join her... eh, rather by pulling him along but, details details. This did give them a chance to talk more instead of additionally focusing on repairing an airplanes wing.

"I see... so your from another realm called Mobius?... I don't think I'd heard it before," said Kuno after listening to Tails talk more about why he was here.

"I'm not surprised. It took quite a bit of effort to get here. Had to generate massive amounts of artificial Chaos Energy, more than I thought I would need." Tails said, which made Kuno cock an eyebrow.

"Chaos Energy?" She asked, unfamiliar with the term.

"Oh, right..." Tails said, sheepishly rubbing his neck. He forgot he was talking to someone from another dimension for a second, having gotten a bit too comfortable here. "It's all to get into, but just imagine 7 super charged Emeralds that can affect space-time. My friend Sonic took them with him, so I had to make some from scratch."

Kuno's eyes widened a bit... you can just, create items like that where he's from?! Just opening dimensional spaces was hard enough that multiple supernaturals had to be involved, not to mention stick around to maintain such a space. And to be fair, dimensional travel wasn't uncommon in her world, but the travel itself had allot of moving parts. "You created more?"

"I've done it before, but designed them for single uses, and they are weaker than real Chaos Emeralds," Tails explained further. "But while thinking of solutions how to follow Sonic here, I remembered he actually used this space-time ability when I actually never intended it for that purpose. So I made a few more, made a few minor tweaks to their designs, and here I am."

Kuno was intrigued... Tails literally created a one-way, single-use ticket to her dimension, just to find his friend and knowing he could have gotten stuck here?... The bond between him and this Sonic guy must have ran pretty deep. It was... admirable. They spent a bit more time out here until they felt tired and went to head back inside. As they did however, a flurry of swords suddenly blocked their path inside the door. Before they could question why, a voice called out to them.

"Sorry. Was I interrupting a date?" Asked a female voice. The owner of this voice then appeared by jumping from somewhere, maybe off a higher roof. As for who it was, Tails didn't recognize her, but it was a human girl with blonde hair and sky blue eyes, and wears a girl gakuran (which is a school uniform) with orange armor worn on top of it. Although they didn't know who this was, this was Jeanne; a member of the Hero faction that unlike Devils, Angels, Fallen, etc.; were humans.

"No biggie. 2 Youkai Foxes are better than one..." Without any given reason why, the woman then summoned a silver sword from the ground, revealing she was obviously the one who blocked their path, and after grabbing it she waved her sword like a wand. This made more swords imprison Kuno and Tails, a cage-like prison for Kuno and an egg-like prison for Tails.

"Let us out!" Kuno demanded as she summoned a ball of Fox Fire and threw it at the cage imprisoning her. Sadly, this did not work, which did make her panic a bit.

"Can't do that. The Hero faction needs a Youkai for our plan, but you and your boyfriend will..." Jeanne said, but she was interrupted by the egg-shaped prison Tails was in starting to move a bit, and also small dinging and poofs were heard inside. After a few more seconds, and a louder dinging sound, the swords keeping Tails trapped then exploded and the Fox pilot himself flew out and landing using his tails like a helicopter, some excess Dummy Rings landing around but disintegrating afterwards.

This came as a small shock to Jeanne, number 1 not expecting a Fox Youkai to fly like that, and number 2 him able to break out at easily as he made it seem. Kuno on the other hand was both shocked and impressed. That's right... Tails mentioned his Dummy Rings don't affect him, but she didn't know they had explosive properties too, so she couldn't help but imagine if she touched more than the one she did touch a while back.

"Hmm... got some fight in you..." Jeanne said, then smirked. "And here I thought this would be an easy, boring mission..." She added, readying her sword to battle the two-tailed kitsune, looking like she would enjoy it.

- Mini-Boss Battle: Jeanne -

(AN: Optional Music- Fight the Knight or Through the Fire.)

Jeanne was the first to attack and to Tails's surprise, she took a step and appeared to hover above the ground as if she was gliding in it or how Shadow would skate just of course minus the actual skating itself. She was pretty quick too, with Tails just barely able to evade the slash of her sword and had to jump up and fly in the air with his tails. This is where he pulled another Dummy Ring Bomb out of hammerspace and threw it at Jeanne before she could react.

"Nrgh!" Jeanne's body was suddenly paralyzed, finding it very hard (and painful) to move. Tails used this opportunity to stop his flying an curl into a ball, using a Spin Attack to drop onto her and bounce away upon causing damage, making her groan a second time. He did start flying again, making sure to keep his distance.

"What do you want with Kuno? You'll have to go through me first!" Tails said, getting out a second Dummy Ring Bomb and threw it at Jeanne. She however was more prepared this time, and she just slashed the Bomb with her sword, the force of her blade automatically detonating it, but the Dummy Rings flew behind her instead of actually landing because of the angle she slashed at. The Rings of course, also disintegrated after a few seconds.

"I can arrange that, Foxy." Jeanne taunted, then leaped up to try and strike Tails directly.

CLANG!

Just before attack can connect, a dome of purple pulsing energy surrounded Tails, protecting him from the attack itself. This was due to a robot drone with a similar model as the Medi Bot he used on Kuno, except it of course shielded him from harm. His arm then quickly surrounded itself with energy and a small red cannon formed on his arm, then shot at Jeanne with it in the form of a yellow ball of energy. However Jeanne turned herself to evade as the shot from Tails's arm cannon was powerful enough to destroy the swords blocking the door to the shrine. Jeanne would eventually return to the ground due to gravity.

"Ha! So, what? Your some kind of premium Robin Hood?" She taunted some more, needing to constantly jump at Tails as he would either dodge or get hit but his shield protected him. They would go back and forth, leaving Kuno to watch in awe. Tails was a pretty skilled fighter, and his gadgets helped allot too. Tails would actually manage to strike her away with by whacking her with his Tails Attack, where she learned was a decently harsh blow despite the initial softness of the tails.

"Nrgh!..." She recovered, and looked up at Tails. "... what are you?" Jeanne asked as she summoned more swords which rocketed out of the ground as projectiles though Tails evaded with skillful air control... something was off. All those electronics, his ability to fly with his tails, how he curled into a ball and how his tails somehow hung out while also defying the laws of physics... either Tails was a brand new breed of Kitsune that's been unrecorded, or something else...

Tails dropped to the floor as Jeanne focused on summoning more swords to fire at Tails, so seeing she was kinda distracted, he dropped out of the sky. This seemed dumb, but he began to spin again, revving up a Spin Dash so by the time he hit the ground, he was already launching into her.

"Nrgh!" Not only did Tails hit her dead center, but due to the speed and force of his Spin Dash (which wasn't as potent as Sonic's admittedly), he knocked her backwards and she would have crashed through the door if she didn't stabilize herself midway through. "Gr... this took too long, forget this!" Jeanne said, and a flurry of swords surrounded her, but then they all retracted and she was shown to have gotten away.

With Jeanne now gone, the cage of swords also retracted and Kuno was freed. Tails immediately went to her side. "Are you okay, Kuno? Did you get...?"

HUG!

Tails didn't even get a chance to complete his sentence as Kuno nearly immediately hugged him in a thankful yet still panicked state. He was shocked, but eventually slowly returned the hug, feeling Kuno calm down in real time.

"You... you saved me..." she muttered and repeated that last line a few times... she never let go of him, even as more Fox Youkai of the shrine began to make their way to the roof through the door that was previously blocked off, Yasaka included in this crowd from hearing the commotion of the battle as the camera panned out.

It was the next day, and Tails had the Cyclone out and ready to go early in the morning before any visitors such as humans would be allowed to enter the shrine.

"Well, I'm finally off. Thanks again for letting me repair the Cyclone here. I really appreciate it." Tails said to both Yasaka and Kuno, who escorted him out.

"Your most welcome, Tails. And thank you for protecting my daughter. We'll keep an eye out for the woman you described as well. Your more than welcome to our shrine whenever you please." Yasaka said, once again thanking Tails for his bravery.

"Hehe... it was nothing really. It was the least i could do." Tails said with a smile, then he spun his tails to start flying into the pilots seat. Just before he actually could land in the cockpit, Kuno called out to him.

"Wait!" She said, which of course got Tails's attention and looked down at her. Cutely, she blushed a little. "Um... well, before you find your friend and go home... will you visit us again?"

Tails took a moment to think on it but ultimately confirmed. "If we some spare time, sure!" He said while smiling. Kuno looked very happy at this.

"I can't wait!" She giggled.

It was here Tails descended a bit more into the Cyclone and finally manned the controls. He stated the engine which roared to life, turned the radars back on which then began tracking Sonic's signature. It showed he was on an island somewhere off the coast for some reason, which was the "vacation" Rias gave them after the Rating Game. Seeing his friend was okay and still out there, Tails began to press the gas and began his flight off into the sky as Yasaka watched him go and Kuno waved him goodbye with 2 hands. He did one circle around the shrine at a low altitude and waved back as his own way of saying goodbye, then flew off back to his main mission... to find Sonic and help get him home.

Tails's glove was then shown wiping a piece of equipment clean with a cloth. Zooming out, he was shown to be in a room of the ORC building, but it was in the process of being re-purposed and refurbished by him, with technology and equipment littering the floor, and a few Item Boxes with more of what he brought with him...

He smiled at the memories of Kuno he had thought about just now. Before he and Sonic find all the Chaos Emeralds again and return home, maybe he will be able too see her again someday...
