First off, thank you all so much for the reviews and love from the last chapter. It really means a lot to me, when people comment on my stuff.
I'll start off by saying that, yes I was able to get this done in a week, I'm probably not going to release it every Sunday. Chapter 3 probably won't come out next week because I'm going to Philly for Wrestlemania. But, again, I'm able to get through these pretty quickly, so who knows.
Alright, enough chatter. Hope y'all enjoy this one!
A shot of the Island appeared, followed by Chris' voice. "Last time on Total Drama Island. We brought our campers back for another round of pain and joy. The joy comes from me seeing them in pain, by the way. The Skunk Butts and the Rat Faces squared off in an epic game of Grandma's Footsteps. It was pretty crazy. We saw Ripper use Priya as a human shield, Wayne save his buddy, Raj, from elimination, despite being on opposite teams and, most importantly, the one and only Ax Hatchet taking all of them down. All of them, except Bowie. With the odds stacked against him, Bowie won it for his team and sent the Rat Faces to the elimination ceremony. Turns out, forcefully turning someone into a human shield and then slamming her into the ground is not a popular decision and it knocked Ripper out of the competition."
The camera flashed, revealing Chris standing on the Dock of Shame. "Who will be knocked out today? Several people probably, but only one will be off the island. Find out who, right here…on Total…Drama…Island!"
It was morning and both teams were eating whatever grey mush Chef had presented them for breakfast. One of the Rat Faces was already talking to her team.
"After yesterday's loss, we really need to step up our game." Priya said. "My parents actually trained for that exact scenario and I never got to use any of the techniques I developed."
"Wait," Damien noted. "They got a baseball player to throw paint balloons at you?"
"Well, they used a paintball gun, but it was basically the same idea."
Next to Priya was Millie, looking somewhat uncomfortable.
Confessional (Millie): She was chuckling nervously. "I-I don't know why I came here. I really don't have anything important to say."
Static
"Millie?"
The book smart contestant suddenly snapped to attention. She accidentally hit the spoon that was in her bowl of gray mush and it went flying. It hit Caleb in the face and left a gray blob on his cheek.
"Millie, are you alright?" Priya asked. "You were really quiet a second ago."
"O-Oh, I was?" Millie laughed nervously. "I guess I've just been…thinking about what today's challenge could be. Just getting psyched up for it."
Priya was still concerned, but before she could ask, Caleb spoke up. "So…" He said to Priya. "You think you can give me some lessons on how to become a better player?"
Last season's winner's eyes lit up. "Oh yeah. Definitely. Maybe tomorrow or after today's challenge. I already have so many ideas and we-"
She was interrupted by a loud sigh.
Everyone looked to see Wayne, giving a depressed poke of his food.
Confessional (Raj & Wayne): Both opened their mouths, but didn't say anything. They awkwardly looked at each other. "Should…should we be doing this together?" Raj asked
"Probably not." Wayne answered. The camera went static. When it returned, it was just Wayne in the outhouse.
Confessional (Wayne): He looked around, then sighed sadly. "I know I've been in here without him, but…it just isn't the same."
Static
Wayne continued poking his mush, which was now bearing a striking resemblance to his former teammate. "Miss you, Rajie." He said sadly.
What Wayne failed to realize was that Raj was directly behind him, on the opposite table, doing the exact same thing. "It's almost like I can hear him right now…" Raj sighed.
Next to him, Axel was scarfing down her gruel.
"Hey, Axel."
The zombie commando looked up to see Nichelle taking a seat right next to her. "How's my favorite teammate?" She said enthusiastically.
"I'm your favorite?" Axel asked, still with chunks of gray mush in her mouth.
"Of...course." Nichelle responded, trying her best to ignore the grossness. "After your performance in that last challenge, I think you can be the MVP of our team."
"I got eliminated though." Axel had finally swallowed her food.
"Yes…but who wouldn't get hit by a crazy throw like that?" She did a fake gasp. "Say…maybe you could teach me how you do that sort of stuff?"
"Because you suck, right?" Axel asked bluntly.
Nichelle's eye twitched, but she held her fake smile. "I wouldn't say that, but…I definitely need the help. We could stick together and you'd have an extra vote."
Axel pondered this. "Hmmm…I don't know. I already filled out your role as zombie fodder, next to Ripper and Chase, so I'd need to find a replacement. I guess I could put Zee in your spot…"
The former Hollywood star raised an eyebrow. "Zombie…fodder?"
"You'd be the person who is only good for getting eaten by the zombies to let other, more useful, people escape." She pondered again, then shrugged. "Alright. Training starts tomorrow morning."
Nichelle smiled.
Confessional (Nichelle): She was smirking proudly to herself. "I may not be athletic, but I can still act. Now with Axel training me, I can make Hollywood realize they were wrong for dumping me." She continued smiling, until she suddenly realized something. "Wait, if I was zombie fodder, what was Zee supposed to be?"
Confessional (Axel): "Zee was the funny guy, for anyone curious. The cure for being zombified is obviously a cure, but laughter is also pretty nice to have."
Static
Damien was slowly and cautiously eating his grub. Lauren took a seat across from him.
"Hello." She said.
Damien stopped eating. "Nope." He got up and walked away.
Lauren frowned.
Damien walked by Bowie, who was looking at Chase and Emma, the latter of whom was contently resting her head on the former's shoulder.
Bowie sighed.
"What's wrong, man?"
The runner-up turned to see Zee sitting next to him. He looked back at Chase and Emma. "I'm just…disappointed with her. How she doesn't see that Chase is awful is beyond me."
Zee nodded. "Sorry to hear that, man. But, I think I might have something to cheer you up."
Bowie raised an eyebrow. "What is it?"
Zee then pulled out an orange soda can. "Everyone feels brighter with a can of Tangerine Dream. Just one sip and you'll be as happy as the sun."
Bowie glared. "Zee, I already told you-"
He was cut off when Zee pushed himself closer and put his hand on Bowie's shoulder. "Listen, man." He whispered. "I know you don't like soda and even I think these taste awful, but I really need the money, so can you-"
"Attention, campers!"
Everyone looked up to see Chris standing by the entrance. "Today's challenge is about to start. Follow me to the Cliffs of Doom!" He said darkly, before turning and walking out.
"Well, that doesn't sound ominous." MK said sarcastically.
The competitors soon arrived near a large cliff area. All of them were wearing helmets. Chef and Chris were standing in front of a large structure that was hanging over the ocean. Chef introduced it. "Welcome to the second challenge of the season, Waterslide Basketball!" Behind them was a series of three slides, all differently colored and shaped. All were pointing at a wooden basketball hoop and a scoreboard.
Chris began. "Hope you all like water slides because after today, you're going to hate them."
Confessional (Damien): "Jokes on Chris, I already hate water slides."
Static
The host continued. "As you can see, there are water slides. Whichever one you pick will be up to the slider."
"Oh, sliders?" Wayne perked up. "Rajie and I love sliders."
"Yeah." Raj suddenly appeared next to him. "Back at home, Wayner holds the record for most sliders eaten in a…" He trailed off, realizing the awkwardness of the situation.
Wayne felt the same way and turned away.
Confessional (Raj): "I love Wayne, but now that we're on opposite teams, maybe I shouldn't be so friendly with him. I used to trash talk, but it's usually with him."
Static
Chef continued explaining. "All the slides have the same goal, regardless of which one you pick." He pointed. "That basketball hoop at the end. Land in it and you'll score points for your team."
"The three slides all have different values." Chris added. He pointed at the blue slide that was wavy and long. The end of it was also closest to the hoop. "Take the blue one successfully, while trying not to break something when you slam into the wall, make it into the hoop and earn a single point for your team." The pink one had a short tube, at first, that led to a dumpster, followed by a deep tube sticking out from the bottom of it that looped around. "The pink one is worth two points, though far more painful and you have to take a dumpster dive into the trash."
The green one was shorter, but had a lot of zigs and zags going down, but more importantly, had a giant toilet at the end of it. "And, finally," Chris finished. "The green one is worth three points and, as you can see, leads to a comically large toilet that will launch you in a violent, but very hilarious, blast of water."
Emma noticed something. "What about that one?" She was pointing at a tube that wasn't next to the other ones. It was gray and only going down, with several large gears sticking out of it and a large boot at the end, attached to a wheel.
"That one," Chef explained. "is not part of the challenge."
"Officially." Chris corrected. "It's a vertical drop, with several gears inside that will, and I am not exaggerating this, cause several internal and external bodily injuries. Once you exit, you'll be met with the rocks below. Thankfully, for you, you never actually hit them because a giant boot will launch you towards the hoop."
"We suggest and advise that you don't take that one."
"Though, if you do, it'll be worth four points."
Chef turned to his co-host. "Why you gotta tell them that, man?"
"Chef, how long have you known me?"
The other co-host ignored him and turned back to the contestants. "You have five minutes to strategize."
Both teams split off, but Chase stood where he was. His eyes were wide and he was wearing the biggest grin. He ran off towards his team to talk to someone. "Julia!" He said excitedly. "Can I have one of your phones?"
The Influencer raised an eyebrow. "Why?"
"Come on, you have so many, you can spare one."
Julia was about to protest, but then thought of something. She took the phone from her pocket. "Alright. But, only if you vote with me tonight, okay?"
"Yeah, sure. Whatever." Chase quickly swiped the phone from Julia's hand.
Confessional (Julia): "Alright. Now I'm one step closer to saying 'bye bye, Bowie."
Confessional (Chase): "After what happened with Ax, I still need content for my channels. Now with no grannies to interrupt me, I think I actually have something. Plenty of extreme stunts and…" He gasped. "...think of the pranks I could pull."
Static
Like last time, Priya had her team huddled up.
"What's the plan, captain?" Caleb winked.
Priya giggled. "Alright, I don't know how much strategy we need, as long as we-"
"Oh, I got it!" Wayne interrupted. "Rajie and I- wait…I-I mean, I used to go on waterslides all the time. Just make your body as stiff as possible when you launch and it should give you more distance to land in the hoop."
His teammates didn't seem to have an issue with this, except one.
Confessional (Priya): She grunted. "Wayne's a good teammate, but he needs to understand that he's not the leader. I am."
Static
Soon, the challenge was about to start. Chris and Chef had moved to under the scoreboard in some chairs. Chris was holding a megaphone. "Campers! The first team to reach 21 points wins immunity. You can probably figure out what will happen to the losing team. One last note, since the Skunk Butts won the last challenge, they get to pick who goes first."
The Skunk Butts looked at slides, then to each other. "I don't know about the rest of you," Bowie said. "But I'm in no rush to get into those things." Most of his teammates agreed. "We'll let the Rat Faces go."
Lauren stepped forward and faced her team. "Alright, I understand most people don't trust me, so as a gesture of good will, I will go first and-"
"Hoot! Hoot!" Wayne let out a shriek of excitement and bolted towards the pink slide. He kept shrieking until he went inside the dumpster. He was bounced around hard, before going down the rest of the tube. Finally, he was launched out, completely stiff, with garbage flying everywhere. He let out a loud 'woo-hoo' before slamming into the wooden wall and down through the hoop.
"And the first run is a success," Chris announced. The scoreboard on the Rat Faces side changed from a 0 to a 2. "Wayne puts his team on the board!"
The Rat Faces cheered, though Priya still seemed annoyed.
The Skunk Butts were up now.
Emma looked at her boyfriend. "Hey, babe. You ready to give this a go?"
Chase was looking at Julia's phone. When he heard Emma, he groaned. "Babe, what did I tell you about interrupting my intro? Now I have to start over."
Surprisingly, Emma looked annoyed. "Oh, come on. Is your intro really more important than the challenge?"
Hearing this, Bowie perked up.
Confessional (Bowie): He looked hopeful. "Is Emma actually going to put that gross excuse of an influencer in his place?"
Static.
"Uh, yeah." Chase responded. "Have I not taught you anything? A good intro is the key factor in a good video. Remember the intro you made for that skydiving video? Only 30k viewers that time. Just go do your thing and maybe I won't have to tell you again." He turned his attention back to the phone.
Emma held her glare, while Bowie watched from the background. But, she sighed and slumped her shoulders. "You're right, I'm sorry. I guess I'll go first." She turned and headed towards the pink slide.
Confessional (Bowie): He sighed. "Well, I guess that's what I get for having hope."
Static
Emma dove in. Like Wayne, she was screaming a lot. Only this time, it was from sheer terror. She bounced around the dumpster and was eventually launched out, flailing her arms around. She hit the rim of the hoop and was sent flying back into the water.
"Oh and Emma whiffs it. No points for the Skunk Butts yet." Chris announced.
"Alright, I guess I'll go." Priya said.
"Remember!" Wayne shouted as he had just returned. "Let gravy do its work."
Priya grunted, but didn't say anything before she went into the pink slide.
"I think you mean gravity." Damien corrected.
"Oh yeah." Wayne chuckled. "But wasn't that a movie?"
Priya came out with no issue and, as Wayne said, didn't move around too much. She swished right through the hoop, putting her team at four points.
"And the Rat Faces continue their lead with another two points. Not looking good for the Skunk Butts."
Back at the slide, Nichelle was looking at the scoreboard. She then turned and headed towards the green slide.
"What are you doing?" Axel asked, before she could get in.
"We're down four points. If I take this one and get it, I'll put us closer and make my team believe in me." Nichelle explained.
"Yeah, but you haven't had any training yet."
The former Hollywood star scoffed. "How much training could I possibly need to go down a slide?" She then went down it. However, it quickly dawned on Nichelle that she was in over her head. The sharp turns and steep drops from the tube knocked her all around. She grunted and screamed the whole way down. Finally, she reached the toilet end and was launched out. However, her momentum from going in had been severely halted and instead of flying out, she only got halfway towards the hoop. She unceremoniously splashed into the water.
Axel gave a pitying look.
Confessional (Axel): "Yeah, I have a lot of work ahead of me."
Static
Damien was still making a decision on which slide to pick.
Confessional (Damien): "So yeah, slides terrify me. I know I said I wanted to step up my game, but…yeah, slides still terrify me."
Static
MK watched Damien struggle to decide. She rolled her eyes and went for the pink slide. Before going in, she smirked and turned around. "Hey Julia, I'm taking the dumpster one. Maybe I'll see your parents when I go in. You know, because it's probably where you live." She laughed before going down.
Julia glared. Bowie stepped next to her. "Oh, Julia. You gonna take that?"
The influencer turned to her rival, then sighed as she headed towards the slide.
Confessional (Bowie): "I don't care if it makes Julia look good, it'll be worth it to see her in pain and covered in garbage."
Static
MK was launched out of her tube, hit the backboard, but bounced off the rim and landed in the water. When she emerged, she heard someone. She looked up, just in time to see Julia fly out of the pink slide, hit the backboard, but go right through the hoop.
The hacker was stunned, as Julia emerged from the water, grinning. "My folks say hi, BTdubs." She swam back to shore, while MK narrowed her eyes.
The scoreboard flashed on the Skunk Butts side, going from a 0 to a 2. "And the Skunk Butts finally earn a few points. We might have a game going now." Chris said into the megaphone.
Back at the slides, Lauren was getting ready to take the two point slide. "Like I was saying before, I hope that I can prove myself by-"
Zee suddenly started laughing and dove headfirst into the green three point tube. He kept laughing, as he was swung and bounced around. He went flying out the toilet, still laughing. He went right through the hoop, giving his team three more points.
"And now the Skunk Butts have the lead!" Chris exclaimed.
"Wait!" Caleb shouted. "It was our turn to go! Zee can't do that!"
"I never said the rest of the game was turn-based. I only said you could go first!"
Before Caleb could argue back, Priya ran towards the tube. "Everyone! Let's go! Go for the two pointer." She stood at the side, as Wayne, Lauren and Caleb jumped in. She followed shortly behind. They all launched out. Lauren, Caleb and Wayne were able to make it, but Priya completely missed the hoop.
Now the Rat Faces had a much bigger lead with ten points to the Skunk Butts five.
"Hey, y'all, Chase here!" The influencer was still more focused on his phone. "And today, I'm-" He suddenly tripped. He hit the ground and the phone went flying out of his hand and over the cliff. "Dang it." He said. Then he looked to see Julia. He quickly got up and ran to her. "Yo, Julia. You have another phone?"
The social media star was confused that he was already asking that, but decided to not ask. "Y-Yeah." She reached into her pocket and her phone was quickly snatched from her by Chase, as he went back to recording.
Axel dove into the two pointer, while Zee followed her. Both were launched out and both went right through the hoop, putting them at nine points.
"The Rat Faces shrink the Skunk Butts lead, but they're still not done yet!"
Nichelle saw this and decided to take the three point slide again. It went more or less the same, with her slamming into every corner. She was launched out, but face planted into the water, just in front of her two teammates. Axel facepalmed.
Raj decided to do the same thing as his teammates and took the two point slide. Unknowingly, Wayne jumped into the three point one at the same time.
Both were launched out and both let out a loud 'Hoot! Hoot!' When they both realized they were next to each other, flying through the air, it got awkward.
"Umm…hey." Raj said.
"Hey." Wayne responded.
They both shared an awkward silence.
Confessional (Wayne): "Raj and I tend to trash talk each other when we're playing one on one hockey. I guess since we're on different teams, I need to do the same."
Static
"You're going down!" Wayne aggressively pointed.
Raj seemed to pick up on it. "Yeah, I am. Down into the hoop!"
"Well, your jersey smells like toenails!"
"Well, your mom bathes in cat pee!"
Wayne gasped. "Dude, my mom loves you!"
Raj quickly dropped his facade. "Oh, right. Sorry, Mrs-" He was interrupted as both hockey bros slammed into the board. Raj fell back into the water, while Wayne slid through the hoop, putting his team at 13 points.
Damien was still deciding what to do. Millie went up to him. "You don't want to go down either, do you?"
Her teammate shook his head. "But I really want to help our team, though."
Millie took pity and was about to say something, when Priya showed up. "What are you guys doing?" She asked. "We need more points!"
"Well," Damien said. "Points are great and all, but I really don't want to break something."
Priya frowned. "Come on, my parents put me through a training course exactly like this. Worst case scenario, you'll end up with-"
Millie interrupted. "Oh," She chuckled nervously. "I guess I should get going. Let's go get some points." She ran towards the blue one pointer, before anyone could say anything.
She slid down and was launched out. It was only for a short time, as she slammed into the backboard, but she bounced into the water.
Millie emerged and sighed in relief.
Confessional (Millie): "I know I didn't score but…" She stopped. "Uh, never mind."
Static
"Seriously, again?"
Chase was holding his hands out to Julia, who put another phone in it. Chase took it, then noticed his girlfriend heading back up for another run. He smirked, then pushed the phone back to Julia. "Actually, record this for me." He ran off, while Julia held the phone.
Emma just arrived at the slides, when she saw her boyfriend looking at one of the slides. "Hey, babe. You looking for something?"
Chase turned around, looking concerned. "Yeah. I dropped my phone somewhere and I think it's here." He pointed towards the grass in front of the green slide.
Emma obliged to help and looked. Unbeknownst to her, Chase stepped back and gave the camera Julia was holding a thumbs up. Before Julia could ask, Chase ran towards Emma and pushed her in. She was sent screaming down as Chase laughed.
"So did you finally finish your intro?" Julia asked.
"Nah." Chase waved his hand. "I just thought that'd be something I can edit in later."
From the bottom, at the beach, Bowie had seen everything. He watched as Emma was sent flying out of the toilet, still screaming, and slammed into the board hard. However, she did go through the hoop, putting the Skunk Butts at 12.
Bowie frowned, as Emma made her way back to the beach. "Are you seriously just going to let him do that to you?"
Emma glared, as she got out of the water. "Hey! I don't need you butting in my relationship. In case you haven't noticed, because of Chase, we got three more points. So I don't see why you're complaining. Especially because you're going home if we lose."
Bowie had to stop himself from saying anything more, as Emma walked away from him.
Back at the top, Nichelle was standing in front of the green slide again. "Alright," she sighed. "Third time's the charm."
She was about to step in, when Axel put her hand on her teammate's shoulder. "Stop." She demanded. "You can't keep doing this."
"But how am I going to prove myself if I can't get these points?" Nichelle questioned.
Axel pushed her to another tube. "You'll never get those three points. Just go for one. When you get launched, turn to your side and you should just slide in."
"But, I-"
Axel shot a finger in Nichelle's face. "Now!"
"Okay. Okay." Reluctantly, Nichelle went into the one point slide. Thankfully, there weren't as many turns. Nichelle waited to see light. When she did, she thought about what Axel said and braced herself. She was launched and she turned to her side, slamming into the board. She then promptly slid into the hoop, earning her team a point.
"And, for the first time ever in her life, Nichelle did something on her own." Chris exclaimed. "It might be only one point, but it's something. Now the teams are tied at 13 apiece."
Nichelle emerged and looked at the scoreboard. She gasped and smiled brightly. She then looked over to where Axel was watching. "Axel!" She waved. "I did it! I got the point!"
The zombie commando couldn't help but smile.
Next to her, Zee was holding up a purple soda can. Chase was holding up his phone to record him. "...and that's why you should take a delicious sip of Grape Gatsby, in stores everywhere." He smiled at the phone and gave a thumbs up.
Chase put the phone down. "Awesome job, Zee. I'll definitely put this in the video." He walked off.
Zee then took another shot at the three pointer. He went flying out, went back first onto the board, bounced off the rim and landed in the water.
Confessional (Zee): He pondered. "So, like, the first two times I was able to score. But when I did the sponsorship, it didn't work." He looked at the soda can he was holding. "I wonder if that's a sign for anything."
Static
Damien was still debating what to do, when Priya came up to him again. "Are you still deciding?" She questioned. Damien nodded. Priya groaned, before getting an idea. "What if you went down with your eyes closed? Would that help?"
Damien snapped his finger, then pulled out a purple cloth from his pocket. He tied it around his eyes.
Priya was confused. "Do…do you just carry that around with you?"
"You never know." Damien answered. "Just put me through the one pointer and I'll be good to go."
Priya shrugged and did so. Damien slid down, screaming all the while. He flew out, hit the board and went into the hoop.
After emerging from the water, he took off his blindfold and looked at the scoreboard. His team was now in the lead. He raised his arms and cheered.
Confessional (Damien): "That was way easier than I thought!"
Static
Priya watched on, when Millie showed up. Last season's winner gave a worried look. "Come on, Millie. We need more points. I don't want to think I can't rely on you and I don't want the team to think you're not worthy enough to keep around." She went to slide down the two pointer.
Millie watched on, looking uncomfortable.
Julia came flying out of the pink slide. She hit the rim and failed to get any points. She emerged, then heard something.
"This is Chase, coming at cha."
The influencer looked up. Chase had just come out of the pink slide, but was still more focused on his intro than anything else. He also wasn't anywhere close to heading towards the hoop. In fact, it didn't take Julia long to realize where he was heading.
She screamed and tried to move, but it was too late, as Chase crashed onto her.
Confessional (Julia): She was wet and holding her head. "I'm starting to have second thoughts about this…"
Static
At the top, Wayne was rallying his teammate. "Caleb! Let's both go for three!"
The hunk nodded and went into the slide. Wayne followed right behind him.
Millie saw them go in and realized something. "Wait, Wayne!" But it was too late.
Caleb was making his way through the tube and was close to reaching the end, when Wayne appeared next to him. "Oh no!" He realized what was about to happen.
The two reached the toilet at the same time. However, because of their large mass, they ended up getting stuck in the hole.
"Ummm…" Wayne said.
"We need help!" Caleb shouted.
From the bottom, Julia had just exited the water. She looked up to see the situation. She then noticed MK, also making it to the beach. "Yo, MK. Looks like your team clogged the toilet."
The hacker looked up and couldn't help but chuckle. "They're gonna need a big plunger for Caleb."
The two shared a laugh. It only lasted a few seconds, as both quickly realized what they were doing. Neither said anything as they made their way up.
Caleb and Wayne were struggling to make it out, when they heard a noise.
"Woo-hoo!"
"Wait, is that Zee?" Caleb asked.
At that moment, the chillest contestant of all time popped out between them. Now he was stuck. "Oh. Oh man, this isn't good." He said
"No, no it isn't." Caleb added.
Zee gasped. "Wait, I might have an idea." He shimmied around.
Caleb rolled his eyes. "Is it another soda?"
Zee paused and looked at the hunk. "Are you a mind reader?"
MK had made her way back to the top.
Confessional (MK): "Ok, it's still kinda funny. But it won't be if they get stuck in there and I didn't do anything about it. Not that I want to, I just can't risk getting eliminated."
Static
"Now's our chance, Raj." MK looked to see Bowie run into the two point slide. Raj followed shortly after.
They were both shot out and made it into the hoop.
"And four more points for the Skunk Butts, putting them at 17 and in the lead." Chris declared. "And with the Rat Faces clogged toilet, it doesn't look good for them."
MK picked up a few rocks and stuffed them into her jacket. "Hopefully, this is enough weight to get them out." She nervously stood in front of the tube and was about to take a run at it, when…
"Incoming!"
The hacker turned and was surprised. Chase came running out of the woods in a panic. Behind him was a very angry bear.
Confessional (Chase): "So, like, the intro stuff was taking too long, so I figured I could do another prank video. It was gonna be so cool. The bear was going to show up, scare everyone and hopefully chase Emma through one of the tubes. Turns out, bears have, like, zero understanding of what it means to go viral."
Static
Chase kept running, straight towards MK. The hacker gasped. "Wait, what are you doing?! Move!"
The influencer kept running, but at the last minute, jumped to the left. The bear couldn't stop its momentum and ended up crashing into MK, knocking her back into the tube. The bear followed her down. It was a painful trip down the tube. MK reached the end, but also got caught with Zee and the other Rat Faces.
It didn't last long as the bear crashed into them. It was finally enough to unclog the toilet and send all the contestants out and towards the hoop.
Caleb and Wayne bounced off the top, while MK swished right in. Zee bounced off the board and also made it in. The bear landed on its head, hitting the top of the board, before falling off into the water.
"Wow!" Chris yelled. "A five way launch, but only three points for each team. Now the Skunk Butts are only one point away from winning, while the Rat Faces still need four."
"What?!" Priya was on the beach, helping Caleb to shore. Almost everyone else was also there. She looked at the scoreboard, then up to the top of the tubes. "Millie!" She shouted. "Help Damien into the one pointer and then you take the three!"
Millie gulped. She and Damien were the only two left on top.
"Don't worry." The neurotic contestant reassured. "Priya helped me with this. Just take me to the one point slide and then do your thing." He put the blindfold on.
"Wait, seriously?"
"Yeah. I can do this with the blindfold."
"Alright." Millie shrugged, taking him to the slide. "You sure you're fine with doing this?"
"Yeah, I trust you."
Upon hearing this, Millie felt herself tense up. "You…trust me?"
"Yeah. Why? Should I not?"
Millie didn't respond. In fact, she lost track of what she was doing as she kept walking.
Confessional (Millie): She was laughing hysterically, while gripping her hair. "He..trusts me? I mean, w-why wouldn't he? I have nothing to hide. I'm not hiding…anything. N-No secrets from me. None at all." She broke into another fit of laughter.
Static
Millie continued rambling, not aware that Damien was no longer with her. And she had no idea where she was heading. "I mean, I'm pretty trustworthy, right? Nothing to hide. If I wanted to say something, I'd say it, right?"
"Millie?" Damien, still blindfolded, suddenly realized that his teammate was no longer with him. He took off his cover and turned around. "Mil-Gah!" He shrieked.
Millie had no idea that she was walking towards the dangerous four point tube. She just continued rambling.
"Millie!" Damien screamed, running towards her. His teammate still didn't hear him. She was actually only a foot away from the tube. "Millie!" Damien shouted as loud as he could.
It worked, as Millie snapped from her trance. "Wait, wha-" She looked down, now realizing she was standing right above the tube. She let out a yelp and tried to pull herself back. But her foot was above it and she couldn't balance. She flailed her arms and tried to stop herself, but it was too late. She fell into the tube.
Millie closed her eyes, preparing for the worst. She then felt something grab her wrist. She looked up.
"Damien!"
The neurotic contestant was holding her with all his might, though he was struggling. "I got you!" He strained. "I don't know for how long though." He glanced back and saw that a contestant had just made it back up. "Zee!" Damien cried. "Help me pull Millie up!"
The chillest contestant of all time saw what was going on and went towards them. "Oh, man." He considered something. "I've got it!" He reached into his pocket.
"What are you doing?!" Damien shouted. "Help me!"
"Oh, I will." Zee then took out the purple soda can from earlier and looked directly at the camera, giving his fake smile. "And this soda will surely give me the energy I need." He went to open it.
Damien went wide eyed. "Wait, was that in your pocket this entire-"
Zee pulled the cap open and, in an instant, soda gushed out of it. It startled Zee and he moved it away from his face. The rushing soda was now pointed at Damien, who was instantly drenched. It hit his eyes. They stung and, without thinking, he let go of Millie.
She screamed as she slid down the vertical drop towards the gears.
Damien, meanwhile, was dazed. He stumbled for a moment, before also tumbling down the tube.
Millie bounced around like a pinball machine, hitting every gear on the way down. Damien followed her. Both of them let out grunts of pain as their bodies hit the hard metal.
At the bottom, the rest of the Rat Faces could hear what was happening.
"Is Millie going for the four pointer?" Caleb asked.
"I think I hear Damien too." Wayne added.
"Oh no." Priya sounded fearful. "Millie, I didn't want you to do that."
They soon saw Millie fall out of the gears. She was covered in cuts and bruises and her limbs were bent awkwardly. Damien was right behind her, looking no better. The boot at the other end, started to move too. It swung around and hit Millie square on. Damien landed on top of it and bounced off, being sent higher in another direction. From the top of the cliffs, Lauren dived into the water
"Millie!" Priya screamed, as her friend was sent flying.
As she was flying, Axel was just launched from the one pointer.
However, Millie made it there first. She slammed into the board and then was repeatedly bounced around the rim, before finally going through. Axel made it to the board, but with all the hits it had taken throughout the day, it broke upon impact and she went right through.
"Wow!" Chris shouted through the megaphone. "Now this is something I never would've expected. Millie not only went into the four point tube and survived, but she also won for her team!" The scoreboard changed from 17 to 21. "Team Rat Face wins!"
Under the now broken hoop, Millie was barely conscious. "Yay…." She muttered, as she began to sink down. Before she could, Priya arrived and grabbed her hand.
"Millie!" She panicked. "Are you alright?!" Millie didn't respond, so Priya held her as she swam back.
Damien, meanwhile, was starting to wake up from being hit. As he came to his senses, he realized he was floating on the water. He also realized someone was holding him by his armpits. He sighed. "Thanks, that was-" He looked back and froze. Lauren was the one helping him back. Damien let out another scream and tried to swim away, but he immediately winced from moving.
"Try not to do that." Lauren said. "You're too hurt to be moving like that."
"Yeah." Damien grumbled. "I'm too hurt to stop you from piercing me with a jackhammer or something."
"Piercing you with a-?" Lauren sighed. "Listen, if I wanted to hurt you, I wouldn't be taking you somewhere with witnesses, would I?"
Damien looked back. He could see they were heading towards the beach, with all the other contestants. He turned back around. "I…guess not." He stayed quiet.
Priya passed them and finally dragged Millie to shore. Wayne went to her side. "I've got her. The Wayne-bulance is on the roll!" He quickly picked Millie up and carried her, piggyback style, making ambulance sounds as he ran off. Priya followed her.
Everyone else was left behind to hear Chris' announcement. "Skunk Butts! It is my pleasure to inform you that one of you is going home tonight! See you at the elimination ceremony tonight!"
Most of them looked nervous. But, the tension was quickly erased when, from out of nowhere, Chase, having walked off the cliff, landed on top of Julia. He was holding his phone up for a video. He grunted. "Dang it! That was going to be it!"
He failed to notice the influencer he had just crushed, groaning in pain.
Back at the cabins, Bowie and Raj were only. The former looked very nervous. "This is bad." He said. "Julia has the numbers advantage and is, for sure, going to give me the boot."
Raj put a comforting hand on his boyfriend's shoulder. "Hey, maybe it'll all work out. I can talk to Zee about voting with us."
"That won't be enough. Plus, Zee probably doesn't like that I rejected his soda offer twice now. Julia has three already, and if she convinces Axel and Nichelle, then I'm gone." There was silence following this, before Bowie broke it again, looking at Raj innocently. "Do you think I can get that real kiss now? I did play fairly."
"Yeah…but we didn't win. I said if we played fairly and won then I'd give it to you."
Bowie frowned. "Are you serious, babe? I might get eliminated and you're saying you won't kiss me?"
"It's the rules I set. I can't break them."
Before Bowie could argue, he heard the door slam open. Both him and Raj looked to see Julia, standing there, looking annoyed.
The Skunk Butts soon made their way to the elimination ceremony. Notably, Bowie looked a little nervous.
They all took their seats, while Chris and Chef stood in front. As expected, Chris was holding his plate of marshmallows.
"Skunk Butts," He said. "Welcome to your first elimination ceremony. Hopefully, it'll be as soul crushing and gut wrenching as it was for the Rat Faces."
"Were people upset over Ripper getting eliminated?" Axel questioned.
"Not really, I'm just hoping to see someone cry tonight."
Chef began his usual spiel. "Chase. You didn't score a single point for your team because you were too concerned with Julia's phone."
"Alright, I know you're old." Chase said. "But having a phone is now, like, what we do."
"Nichelle."
"Me?" The former Hollywood star was confused. "What did I do?"
"You only got one more point than Chase. And, while this was your best performance on the show, it might not be impressive enough to keep you around."
Nichelle now looked worried.
"Hey!" Axel butt in. "She did good today!" She looked back and nodded at her teammate
Nichelle gave a thankful smile back.
"And finally, Bowie. While you did fine today, I wouldn't call you safe, especially with all your enemies gunning for you." The runner-up gulped.
"Time to find out who's safe." Chris said, holding up a marshmallow. "Receiving her first marshmallow ever. Axel."
The zombie commando smiled as she caught her treat.
Chris continued naming and passing out the marshmallows. "Zee…Emma…Julia…Raj…"
The hockey bro gladly caught his treat, but then looked worried when he realized who was left.
Nichelle and Bowie nervously waited, while Chase just seemed unconcerned.
"The penultimate marshmallow goes to…Nichelle!" The former Hollywood star sighed in relief. She and Axel shared a smile.
"Down to two. Bowie or Chase…and it's going to…"

"...Bowie."
The runner-up sighed and caught his treat. Raj exhaled.
"Wait, seriously?" Chase asked.
Confessional (Julia): "Yeah, I know I could've used Chase to get Bowie out, but after today I didn't feel like losing another phone or having his stupid butt fall on me." She then paused to consider something. "Actually, if I did eliminate Bowie early, that probably would've made me an easier target to eliminate." She chuckled to herself. "Even when I don't realize it, I'm still a genius."
Static
Emma was holding Chase's hand. "I'll win for you, okay?"
"Sure thing, babe. Definitely do that." He leaned in to kiss her, which Emma returned.
Most of their teammates looked grossed out, but Bowie just turned away.
While still kissing, Chase held a phone and took a picture. He quickly pulled away from the kiss to look at his photo. He then frowned. "Oh, can we do that again? I really don't like this lighting." He looked at Emma. "And your face looks kinda weird."
Chris stepped between them. "I'm sure you'll get the chance if she gets eliminated." He said. "But, right now, it's time to go." He then looked at Emma and frowned. "No tears? Seriously?"
The host and Chase made their way to the dock. Chase was taking selfies as he did and he began his final confessional. "Being on this show again was pretty cool. I mean, getting eliminated second sucks, but at least it wasn't first. Sorry, Ripper. I'll definitely miss Emma though…"
Confessional (Chase): "...now I'm not going to get a second try at that bear prank. It would've been hilarious. She would've been like 'ah, a bear!' and I'd be laughing at her."
Static.
Chase was still looking into the phone. "Hey, guys! I may have just gotten eliminated, but this is not the last you'll-" The claw from the Drone of Despair grabbed his wrist. "Wait!" It pulled him off the ground. "Hey! At least grab the hand that I'm not using. I mean, not now, I don't want my phone to get wet." The drone carried him away.
Chris watched, then turned to the camera. "You know, it might be hard to say, but I don't think I'm going to miss him. Oh wait. It was actually super easy to say. Will things get any easier for our campers? What do you think? But still check it out here…on Total…Drama…Island!"
Like the first canon episode, this was a really fun one. I will say that the challenges throughout season two of the reboot are top tier and a lot of fun. It'll be fun to get through future ones.
Obviously, the biggest change I made was that Millie doesn't push Damien through the four point pipe. It made sense why she did it (she was feeling nervous about not reading Priya's list), but the lead up to it and her overall actions didn't make a lot of sense to me. I wanted to keep it, but obviously changed some stuff to make it work better.
As for Chase, yeah, the canon made the right call of eliminating him second. I actually think Chase is one of the best written characters of Total Drama. I understand people who say they don't like him or find him that funny, but I can appreciate a show when it makes a character completely egocentric and detestable with no redeemable qualities. And Julius Cho absolutely nails the performance.
Please don't be afraid to let me know what you think. Like I said, I adore hearing from you guys and gals and non-binary pals. Have a good one!
