"So? What's the plan now?" said Husk. "Every time Charlie talks to Heaven we get in deeper and deeper shit."
"Angels are difficult, Charlie's trying her best," said Vaggie.
"However, we have one advantage against the Angels." said the Doctor.
"That being?" Husk asked.
"Me!" the Doctor pointed at himself, "Sera, the ruler of Heaven, is terrified of me. We can weaponise that fear to make her change her mind. If diplomacy didn't work, then we'll force her hand."
"How, Doc?" Angel asked.
"Alastor?" the Time Lord turned to the Radio Demon.
"Yes?"
"I think it's time we make a "revival" of your radio show." said the Doctor.
Alastor tilted his head, genuinely curious about the Doctor's plan.
"What does Smiles' broadcast have to do with not us getting killed by the Exorcists?" Angel asked.
"We're gonna do a trick similar to what we did with the "declaration of war": We're going to broadcast both video and audio of the Extermination directly to Sera's office by using Alastor's powers and the TARDIS, show her the total massacre of the Exorcists, so that she can see the consequences of her actions and of having me as her enemy. Thanks to that, she will be scared enough to resume negotiations." said the Doctor.
"Huh...You mean the total massacre of us?" said Angel, "The Exorcists can't be killed!"
"Oh, about that..." said the Doctor. "But first, where's Charlie? We can plan the defence of the castle without Her Highness!"
"In our room upstairs, coming up with something, I'm sure," said Vaggie.
"Good, let's come up with something together!" the Doctor headed to Charlie's room, as Alastor disappeared in black smoke.
Meanwhile, Charlie was crying in her bed, as Razzle and Dazzle, her two little goat-like servants, tried to console her by giving her tissues.
"CHAAAARLIE-Oh." said the Doctor, entering the room. "Are you okay?"
"No...Go away, Doctor..." said Charlie, wiping her tears.
" Now, now is that any way to act!" Alastor manifested in the room, "Do you want to stay there in your bed after picking a fight with all of Heaven and dooming everyone you love?"
"Quiet, Alastor." the Doctor was having none of it. He sat next to Charlie. "The others are waiting downstairs for you."
"I can't. How can I face them after failing them all so hard?" said Charlie. "They came here to be saved and all I gave them was more pain. I'm just as bad as the cruellest Overlord in Hell. And maybe worse. At least they don't go around giving false hope!"
"You didn't give them false hope, none of this is your fault-"
"YES IT IS!" Charlie interrupted the Doctor, "I can't prove the hotel works. has an invincible exorcist Army pointed right at my doorstep and there's nothing I can do about any of it!"
"I know something you don't know~!" said Alastor in a sing-song tune.
"What? That Angels can be killed?" said the Doctor
Alastor's smug expression turned into a shocked one, of someone who was caught in the act.
"Huh?" said Charlie.
"Exorcists can be killed, I saw it. Carmilla Carmine killed one." said the Doctor.
"But...You arrived here after the Extermination ended. How?" Charlie asked.
"I have a time machine, remember?" said the Doctor. "Now, I have a plan to defeat them. But we need an army."
"Oh, in that case, I have the perfect person to ask to!" said Alastor.
"Good. You and Charlie go gather an army. I have to go." the Doctor headed to the door.
"Hey! Where are you going?" Charlie asked.
"To...Collect favours." said the Doctor.
"Is everything all right, Charlie?" Vaggie asked.
"I know how to stop the Angels. They can be defeated, and Carmilla is the key," said Charlie.
"Carmilla Carmine?" said Vaggie.
"The Doctor told me, Carmilla killed an Exorcist in the last Extermination," said Charlie.
"I...I didn't know that was possible."
"If you did, would you have told me?" Charlie asked with a cold tone.
"Charlie, please-"
"I need you to go to her, convince her to teach us. If she can, we might have a chance." Charlie interrupted her girlfriend.
"Tell her that the Doctor sent you, she's in debt with me, she might accept." said the Doctor. "I've gotta go now, I trust you to deal with the rest!" He left.
Charlie and Alastor left, and Vaggie went downstairs
"Huh, Alastor and Charlie just left like they were runnin' away from their responsibilities and I heard the TARDIS taking off. Should we be alarmed?"
"We're following the Doctor's plan, we can defend ourselves," Vaggie explained. "This hotel is about to become the most dangerous place in Hell, and we...I, can't guarantee your safety anymore. I still believe in Charlie's dream. I know this place can work. But none of you signed up for this *heads out the door* I'm gonna go learn how we can fight back, and when I come home...Well, I'll understand if none of you are here." Vaggie left, leaving the others thinking.
As Alastor and Charlie walked in the streets, the Princess vented about the situation with Vaggie to the Radio Demon, who in all honesty, couldn't care less.
"Three years! THREE YEARS I've been sharing my life with her, and I tell her EVERYTHING! My hopes, my dreams, my insecurities, my embarrassing habits, what fucking DEODORANT I like, and she keeps something, like this, from ME? Why would she lie for so long? Did she think I wouldn't accept her? What about me—me—says-Hold on, where are we?" Charlie asked, looking around the place, a 1940s-style American town.
"Cannibal Town!" Alastor explained. "There's a friend of mine that can give us a hand!"
"Looks...Quite peaceful," said Charlie
"And it's all thanks to her!" said Alastor.
The two entered the building with the sign "Rosie's Emporium".
Inside the Emporium, there was quite a crowd. Sitting at a desk, there was Rosie, the Overlord of the Cannibals. She had pale skin and white skin, with pitch-black eyes and pointy teeth, and was wearing a Victorian-esque red dress with a sun hat.
"Well, who hasn't thought about eating their first husband? I certainly would have if he didn't taste so bad! Hehe, I tell ya what, you bring ol' tall dark and armless to me, and I'll straighten him right out, Okay sweetie?" Rosie talked to another female Cannibal. He noticed Alastor. "Oh, my, stars! Do my eyes deceive me? Alastor!" She went to the Radio Demon. "Where have you been? These halls really lost some of their sparkle without your lively presence and-" She noticed Charlie, "Oh. Who's this ya brought with you? Come now, Alastor, she's much too young for you! Oh, I'm just kidding. I know you're an Ace in the hole."
"I'm a what?" Alastor asked, genuinely confused.
"But where are your manners, mister? Introduce us, why don't you?" said Rosie.
"Ah yes: Charlie, this is Rosie, the most darling, delightful and dangerous Overlord this side of the Pentagram!" said Alastor.
"How do you do?" Charlie awkwardly waved at the Overlord.
"And Rosie, it's a pleasure to introduce you Her Highness Princess Charlie Morningstar, daughter of Lucifer and heir to the throne!" Alastor continued.
"She has quite the manners, I see." said Rosie, "You learn from her a thing or two, Alastor. Or that fellow too? Where is he, by the way? The gentleman with the bowtie?"
"If you're talking about the Doctor, he's busy gathering troops. And that's exactly why we're here," said Alastor.
"the extermination is coming early. It'll be here in a month, and they're-they're coming for my hotel and my friends first, and I-I-I-I-" Charlie panicked.
"We need your help, or at least, your cannibals', to fend off the attack with as many men as we can have," said Alastor.
Rosie chuckled. "when you ask a favour ya don't start small, do ya, your highness? Oh now, don't fret. I didn't say I wouldn't help. But I assume there's more to this plan then a bunch of unarmed cannibals."
"If everything goes as the Doctor planned, your people will be far from helpless when we're done with them. And by the end, they will be able to eat, their, fill." said Alastor.
"...Sure! Why not?" said Rosie. "I like your moxie, girl. And old Alastor has never done me wrong before."
"Oh, thank you! Thank you!" Charlie hugged Roise.
Meanwhile, Vaggie arrived Carmilla's house.
"Carmine! We need to speak!" Vaggie shouted. "I know what you did during Extermination Day, so we can talk about it inside, or I can yell about it out here!"
The door opened and Vaggie went inside. It was dark, until a spotlight turned on, revealing Carmilla.
"You have 2 minutes to convince me not to silence you for good." She said calmly.
"Miss Carmine, I'm here on request from the Doctor to enlist your aid in the defense of hell from the angelic extermination. We know an angel fell at your hands and we need to know how."
"No." said Carmilla.
"What do you mean "No"? You're in debt with the Doctor!" said Vaggie.
"Yes, that is true, he saved my life, but that's not enough. 90 seconds." said Carmilla.
"With your knowledge, we wouldn't have to helplessly stand by while-"
"Clearly, I'm not the helpless one here. 80 seconds."
"Well, then why? Why wouldn't you use what you know to fight?"
"To avoid the very problem you and your little friends are facing right now. I will not invite destruction into my house, on my people."
"You think we asked for this? All Charlie has ever done is try to make things better to help her people who, news flash, include your people too."
"And how exactly has that worked out for her? 45 seconds." Carmilla walked towards the stairs.
"We didn't pick this fight, but it's here now. And they aren't going to stop with us. You didn't see the look on their leader's face. With us out of the way, it's only a matter of time before they come for the rest of you. They won't stop until all of hell is wiped out, so you can help us make a stand here together, or you can stand alone tomorrow. And what do you think your chances will be then?"
"...You're out of time." Carmilla jumped down from the balcony and kicked Vaggie in the face. "Angels attack quickly, viciously, and without mercy. You'll need to defend better than that."
Vaggie tried to attack her, but kept getting kicked away by Carmilla.
"What the hell are you doing?" Vaggie asked.
"You want me to teach you how to beat Angels? That's what I'm doing."
"By beating the shit out of me?" said Vaggie, "I'm not used to fighting with long hair."
Carmilla let her hair down and kicked Vaggie away. "I'm showing you the flaws in your own fighting style. Yours and all your sisters'."
"You know I'm an Exorcist?" said Vaggie, "How?"
"You have a giant X over your eye and you're wielding an Angelic spear, it's not rocket science." said Carmilla, "Before you found out about me, did you know angels could be harmed?"
"No!"
"That shows in how you fight. You leave yourself open with every swing. You fight like someone unafraid of harm, and this is what you'll take advantage of. Angels wield no shields, little armor and fight with reckless abandon. Strike them here, here, and here." Carmilla kicked Vaggie in various points.
"With what? Some secret weapon of yours?"
"Stupid girl, are you really so dense you don't realize you're holding the answer?"
"Wait...Angelic weapons? Seriously?" said Vaggie, "Why no one thought about it before?"
"Angelic steel isn't common. And those who have it aren't exactly rushing off to test it against Exorcists." Carmilla explained, "As for me, well...You don't become an angelic arms dealer without arming yourself first."
The two kept fighting.
"You have the determination, but you're missing one thing if you want to survive: Love." said Carmilla, "Concentrate, concentrate on the fear of losing those you love."
Vaggie took the advice to the heart, and the moment she started thinking of Charlie, her moves became more light and fast. Her attacks became more precise until suddenly, she grew a new pair of wings.
"Well, look at that. You might just survive this." said Carmilla, impressed.
Later, at the Hotel, Vaggie returned with several crates of Angelic weapons. At the same time, Charlie returned with an army of Cannibals, while the TARDIS materialised nearby.
"Oh, there you are!" the Doctor went to the two. "Wow, quite the busy day you had, eh?"
"Yeah." said Charlie.
"Charlie, I-"
"Hold on, brought you a souvenir." Charlie handed her girlfriend a souvenir she bought in Cannibal Town.
"Oh, Charlie!" Vaggie, moved, hugged Charlie.
"Nice wings." said Charlie. She turned to the Doctor. "Where have you been?"
"As I said, I collected some favours." the Doctor snapped his fingers and the doors of the TARDIS opened. From there, several rhino-like aliens came out from it, along with a potato-looking creature. "Meet, the Judoons! Along with Commander Strax of the Sontaran Empire!"
"We shall destroy the angelic scum and let them know to not fight us!" said Strax.
One of the Judoons scanned Charlie. "Language assimilated. I am Captain Neebo of the 25th Judoon platoon. We shall assist you in the defence of the building."
"An entire platoon was in debt with you?" said Alastor, chuckling. "Are you sure you're not an Overlord?"
"I'm not sure if it's a compliment or not." said the Doctor, "Anyway, let's get to work, shall we?"
The quartet entered and saw Angel, Pentious, Husk and Niffty fortifying the building.
"Ah, Well, look who decided to show up. We thought we were fightin' by ourselves." said Angel.
"You're...Still here?" said Vaggie, incredule.
"Of course! I ain't gonna leave Doc fightin' those Exorcists by himself!" said Angel.
"I just got used to you guys. I ain't finding no new drinking buddies." said Husk.
"We're not a bunch of pusssssssssies!" said Pentious.
"I've named all the stains on the carpet." Niffty giggled, "That one's Fred."
"Well, fellas..." the Doctor fixed his bowtie, "Let's get started, we have a war to prepare."
And so, it began, the preparations for the final Extermination, where everything will be decided, and the Doctor is ready to sacrifice everything to protect Charlie and her friends...
...Even his life.
