"Honey?" Mama comes into my room as I write in my diary, and I turn to her with a smile. "I was watching the news during my morning tea break, and my! This fashion show is bigger then I thought!"

She comes over to me. "So, I was thinking, I could help you with your hair and I have the perfect dress for you. If you like that is." I grin. "I'd like that. Though Adrien and I are going on a little drive this afternoon and he should be here…." I pause, checking my phone and stand up. "In about five minutes."

I wish I could tell them what we're really up to, but that could lead to danger and I'm not having that. "Oh, your father used to take me on drives every Sunday! Have fun, dear!"

"I feel like I'm just committed a crime and you have the getaway car," I joke with Adrien as I slide into my seat, clicking on my seat belt. Adrien leans over the center counsel giving me a wicked smile. "You did," he says, and I blink in surprise. "You stole my heart." Then he kisses me in a way that makes my heart race and my hands sweat in a good way. "My parents thinking we're going on a "romantic" drive," I tell him in air quotes as he pulls away from the curb. "It can be romantic," he grins, and at the red light he ruffles one of my pigtails. "Hey, eyes off the bug and eyes on the road, Agreste!" I tease.

"Oh, so I can avoid Starbucks?" Oh, this boy knows how to push my buttons in a flirty way. "No, I'd take some coffee!"

Finally, we hit the highway, and we both grow quiet more that Adrien can concentrate. For some reason my mind keeps going back to our conversation last night about taking off the mask and I think we could make it work and I even have an idea for the first time. Truthfully, I'd love to hold and be held in Adrien's arms without magical spandex for once. And he really does love me, of that I'm sure. Why else would we meet up day after day? I've had other friends in the past, but I can't talk to them like I do Adrien.

I jump a little as Adrien places a hand on my knee. "What's on your mind, Little Bug?" I chew on my lip, a nervous little habit I've picked up before answering. "I think I might be ready to take off the mask, even if we start slow."

"Ladybug…." Adrien sighs, and I wonder what he's thinking. "What do you think would happen if I saw you without the mask?" Its a miracle he can even hear me by how low my voice is. "You would reject me once you knew how plain and ordinary I am." "Your wrong," he says, and I can't tell if he's angry or hurt by my words. Maybe both. I sigh.

Adrien slows the car, pulling into an abandoned park parking lot. "Corvus's house is through those trees, by the cliff," he whispers to me. "Ready to do this?"

"Yes," I tell them, shoving away thoughts I don't care to have. The woods are murky and dark, and I'm glad Adrien holds my hand as we traverse them.

I gasp at the sheer size of Corvus's mansion, when I was a teen Gabriel's mansion intimidated me, but Adrien's place looks like a normal house compared to this. Adrien takes a backpack from his back and starts pulling out two sets of white clothes and hats.

"Adrien, the party's not till tonight." "I know. I called Corvus's housekeeper and said two painters were coming." "And they bought the story?" Adrien smiles. "I can be very convincing." "Your as a sneaky as a cat," I laugh and he laughs with me. "That's not the first time I've been told that."

We get in easily, thanks to Adrien's powers of persuasion and since its such a big house we have no trouble wandering around.

Corvus likes shiny things no doubt, and one of the maids shows us his room full of jewelry. I nudge Adrien, pointing subtly to an empty display case. Is it for my Miraculous?

Just then, we hear a harsh grating voice coming from the hall, and I grab Adrien's hand pulling us into the closet just in time as Corvus comes back into the room, talking on a small cell phone.

"No, I forgot the dupes of Ladybug's earrings and Adrien's ring! My henchmen will take them during the fashion show and when they come off the runway, I'll be long gone!"

I gasp in horror and Adrien tightens his grip around my stomach so I don't fall out of the cupboard. "Good, I'll see you-" If I would have blinked, I would have missed Corvus falling to the floor in a pile of feathers, a crow left in his place. He gives a few angry squawks and picking up the phone in his beak, he takes flight winging out the window.

"Do you think the coast is clear?" Adrien whispers in my ear. "I'm not taking any chances," I open my compact, drawing out the Horse Miraculous and using Voyage.

A second later, we end up back in the car. "We didn't waste that trip, did we?" Adrien asks. I shake my head. "And now that we know his plan, we can beat him at his own game," I grin. "How so?" Adrien asks. I chuckle. "Every heard of fake jewelry? I have a jewelry store friend who is keeping a fake copy of your ring and my earrings just in case something like this ever happened."

Adrien leans over rubbing his nose against mine. "You are one clever bug," he grins. I giggle.

We head back to Paris, smiles on our faces. We have a party to attend, and we're going to do it in style.
