When I was out of the building, I broke into a sprint, racing towards the Forbidden Forest. Before I entered the den, I let my claws drag across a couple of trees, leaving deep grooves in my wake. I entered the den, my eyes flashing gold at a couple of my Packmates in greeting. "Waverly!" A voice called happily. A smile made it's way onto my face as I knelt, opening my arms to catch a pup. Wanda's arms found their way around my neck as a head nudged mine a couple times. I laughed, butting my head against Wanda's. "Are you ok?" Wanda asked, pulling back to look me in the eyes. Her brown orbs searched mine for an answer.
"I'm ok." I soothed. "I'm just mad at the Humans."
"I thought you liked the Humans."
"I do, but some of them aren't that nice. The Council think we're going to attack them. So, they reinstated the Anti-Monster laws, not that it'd do much." There was a collective growl as yellow eyes flashed around the Den as the pack stepped into the dim light. Two of the wolves stepped closer than the rest, Willa and Wynter. I shifted Wanda into one of my arms as Willa stepped closer. Our eyes closed as we pressed our foreheads together. One of my hands reached up to press against her shoulder, right over her silver crescent mark on her right shoulder. Her hand did the same, her fingers gently running over the silver etched into my skin. We pulled away soon after.
"He's back." One of the Pack said. We all turned as Wyatt entered the Den, wearing Human clothes over his regular ones. He pulled off the hazmat suit, helmet and glasses. His Moonstone was slid back onto his neck, and the makeup was wiped off his cheek to reveal the two purple lines just under his eye. He turned to us and growled softly, showing his fangs.
"What did you find out?" Willa asked.
"They saw you howling, Willa." Wyatt stated.
"So?"
"We're exposed." Wyatt pulled out a picture. I took it from him. The picture looked kinda like me, and the only person I know who would do that was Zoey.
"Let me guess, this was drawn by a little Zombie girl?" I wondered with a smile, "Braids in her hair?" Wyatt nodded. I squatted down, putting Wanda on the floor. "Hey, why don't you show this to the other Pups, ok?" I handed the picture to her, "Maybe you and Zoey could meet one day." Wanda grinned, taking the picture and running to our younger packmates.
"You need to stop being such a worry-wolf brother." Willa said as I stood straight again. "I only said 'Awoo!' It's like saying Ciao. Or…Aloha...or, I'll rip your throat out. Anyway's, who cares what they think, or what their laws say. It's a terrible town."
"We have to find the Great Alpha." Wyatt reminded us.
"Even if there is a Great Alpha."
"Willa, we saw her in the forest, she had the white hair."
"Probably just the light."
"Why don't we ask Waverly." Everyone turned to me. Willa raised an eyebrow.
"Addison?" I wondered, "I've been keeping an eye on her since she revealed her Hair but…" I sighed. "She hasn't shown any signs of being a Wolf. There's the slim chance she is the Great Alpha but I wouldn't bank on it." Wyatt turned to his sister.
"She's real!" Wyatt told her, "And she's gonna lead us to the Moonstone. And you know we don't have much time. More and more of our pack are getting sick. Our Necklaces are almost out of power. We need to find the Moonstone."
"And when we do, we can recharge our necklaces and be Wolf-Strong for another one hundred years…" Wynter sighed happily.
"Ok." Willa relented. "Even if the girl is the Great Alpha, how do we find her?"
"She goes to Seabrook." I said. "We're in a lot of classes together."
"Great, you can lead us to her." Wyatt stated. I shook my head,
"The school will notice our Pack if you show up in the middle of class."
"Ok, fine." Willa said. "We find the girl, and if she's the Great Alpha, she'll tell us where the Moonstone is hidden."
"We go in the morning." Wyatt declared.
"We go tonight!"
"Or tonight works."
"I know how to get in after dark." I reported, "You guys need to hide on school grounds until the morning." Willa nodded. The Pack reared their heads and howled, the call echoing through the forest. When night descended, the Pack prowled through the forest towards Seabrook high.
Willa -
No one's catching me unless I wanna be caught
I'm dancing in the shadows, ain't no leash when I walk
It's great to feel invincible, it's great to feel alive
My appetite's insatiable, there's nowhere it can hide
Waverly (Wolves) -
Our freedom isn't up to them, it's only up to us (Us)
Willa's the Alpha, she's the leader, she's the one to trust (Trust)
Together we do whatever it takes, we're in this pack for life
Wolves -
Awoo!
We're wolves, we own the night!
Oh, we own, what we own, oh, we own the night
Oh, we own, what we own
Awoo!
We own the night!
The only thing that is worse than our bark's our bite
Oh, we own what we own
Awoo!
We own the night!
Wyatt (Wolves) -
I'm picking up the scent, it seems we're on the right track (Track)
The moonlight's on the rooftops, the wind is at our backs (Backs)
We're living in the shadows, we're living for the chase (Chase)
Our legacy is in our sights, so let's pick up the pace
Waverly (Wolves) -
We're on a quest to find the power that's inside of us (Us)
Willa's the Alpha, she's the leader, she's the one to trust (Trust)
Together we do whatever it takes,
Willa, Waverly and Wyatt -
We're in this pack for life
Wolves -
Awoo!
We're wolves, we own the night!
Oh, we own, what we own, oh, we own the night
Oh, we own, what we own
Awoo!
We own the night!
The only thing that is worse than our bark's our bite
Oh, we own, what we own
Awoo!
We own the night!
Willa -
We own what we own
The night is our home
We own what we own
Wolves -
Wolves
Awoo!
We own the night!
Oh, we own, what we own, oh, we own the night
Oh, we own, what we own
Awoo!
We own the night!
The only thing that is worse than our bark's our bite
Oh, we own what we own
Awoo!
We own the night!
