Summary: Everyone thinks being a hero is fun, but most people don't put into consideration the dark things that happen. Lives lost, keeping secrets from everyone, risking your life, it's all bad things when you're a hero. After a decade, Luz has become a shell of her former self.

Late at night, the city of BonesBorough, a fairly small city of 8 thousand, located in Northern California. The city slept quietly, except for a lone figure on top of a tall building. She looked out to the city, waiting. Her name is Luz Noceda, she's twenty four years old and she has a secret. She's not human, she's a powerful demon. She doesn't know how or where her powers come from, but when she got them at the age of fourteen, she became Demon, a superhero that fights for justice and the protection of others... for a decade, her "Humanity" has gotten smaller and smaller. Her once bright personality, has become darker. She heard the sound of tires screeching and she put on her mask. She jumped of the building and held a hand out. A small, black, tendril came out and she retracted it back into her hand, allowing her to use it like a grappling hook. She Swung from building to building until she saw a group of criminals unloading crates of guns. She used her tendril to swing to a wall and stuck to it.

"Alright, Demon, time to embrace your inner Spider-Man." She said.

She started to climb down the wall and jumped off, landing on the ground and inside a dark area. She observed the area, three thugs with pistols.

"And here I thought it would be a challenge." She said.

She reached into her belt and pulled out her retractable Bo Staff. She charged at them and swung. She hit one guy and knocked the gun out of their hand. She kicked him in the leg and hit them in the head with her staff. She hit him with a round house and he fell to the ground. She picked up the dropped gun and fired it into the leg of another thug. They fell and held their leg. The final one fired a bullet into Luz's head. Luz stumbled backwards and then looked at him, healing instantly. Her eyes started to glow red and growls at him. He shakily held the gun at her again and fired another bullet, this time into her stomach. Luz shoves her hand into her stomach and pulls the bloody bullet out, as her stomach heals.

"You know." Luz said, crushing the remains of the bullet, "I don't know how you thought this would work."

She sprinted at him, full speed, which for Luz was faster than a jet. She slammed him against the wall of a building, causing a human size dent into it.

"Want to try for a third time?"

Luz looked up at the roof and smirked, she needed information, and she was going to let gravity give it a go.

Small preview of an idea. Little clarification, this is going to have the Beta Luz Design, except in flashbacks from when she was fourteen, which will be the Canon Luz Design. Follow, Favorite, and Review for more.
