(Well I've lost contact with my editors again, so I've decided to releas the rough draft and hopefully what I have here is good, since I've been using Grammarly to help me as of lately with grammar mistakes and all that. Hopefully this is at a decent quality, other than that enjoy)
The veiled user spent the next couple minutes listening to the Spartan explain what he was to her, Six and Athena retold the same explanation to Uzume the same way they explained to the other three.
After they were done talking, Uzume was silent for a few moments before she started laughing uncontrollably.
"Hahahahahahahahah! Oh, man, that has to be the funniest thing I've heard all day!"
" I'm not joking." Six said with all seriousness.
Uzume's laughter died in her throat, she looked at her Ashikabi straight in the visor.
She watched him, take his hand, the one that wasn't holding Athena, and remove his helmet. On his face, she saw no hints of him, pulling her leg, keeping this stone-faced serious expression.
She looked towards her bonded sisters, to verify if he wasn't messing with her," Please tell me he isn't being serious?"
" Didn't we just say it would be hard to believe?" Replied Hikari, Since they warned her earlier.
Hibiki nodded with her sister.
" Even though we've been with him for a week, we are still scratching our heads at all this," Toyotama added.
"Hu…. I see." Uzume said with uncertainty taking her eyes back to her Ashikabi, just in time for her to see him, put his helmet back on.
" If that is true….. then how did you get here?" Uzume curiously asked. Still did not believing her ashikabi. She may be part of a race of super-powered human-looking, alien women that put any normal human supermodel to shame… this just sounded way too far out there.
Six's sekireis can't help pick some curiosity towards the brunette's question. They too are curious to know how he got here in the first place. Knowing him they already know what he's gonna say.
" I bet my yen he's going to say classified," Hikari whispered to her sister and Toyotama.
" Is that even a bet, course he is," Toyotama whispered back.
" I agree with Toyotama. Of course, he's going to say it….still would be nice to know how he got here." Hibiki whispered. It did peek curiosity in all three of them wanting to know how he got to this time and universe. Knowing him well, they could already predict what he's gonna say.
They're whispering, didn't go unheard as both the veil user, and the Lonewolf looked at the group.
Uzume raised a curious eyebrow, wondering what they were talking about.
Six did not comment and just wanted to move on with his discussion with Uzume.
" How I got here." The head hunters spoke making all eye take their attention to him.
" Is hard for me to explain. For now, I will keep it classified until proven relevant." Six answered. Since
" Knew it!" Hikari said out aloud, forcing the brunette and Six to look at them.
"Was it a surprise?" Toyotama said since they pretty much knew the outcome.
"We all predicted he would say his favorite word," Hibiki said. Uzume could tell they'd gotten used to him saying classified all the time. Since she got a good example of it in the lobby and the twins warning her in that little play, they did.
"Ha…. well, I guess you can tell us when you're ready…Hu ." Uzume said, rubbing the back of her head.
Six just nodded. Uzume then took her attention back to the AI in his hands," And you, said you are a smart, AI? If you told me correctly.
" Yes, I am ." Athena Happily answered.
" If I understand what you told me about you, you're something like a brain type Sekirei in digital form?" Uzume curiously asked.
" Yep, for me, I can hack into almost any digital device around the city, be it a cell phone, credit card, or even a satellite. That's how I knew you were in trouble when Mikogami's sekireis came after you." Athena happily replied.
Uzume was stunned, to hear this little AI can do all of this. She was pretty much like Matsu!
' My God, I can only imagine if Matsu and Athena met.' Uzume thought to herself just imagining the meeting of these two. No doubt the redhead would have a field day with this AI.
" So that's how you knew I was in trouble you were watching me."
"Yep." Athena proudly replied," I'm hacked into most security systems across the city, other words, I have eyes and ears everywhere."
" Wow! That's impressive. I have to admit !" Uzume was amazed at the power of this AI, able to hack into the most security systems around the city. Matsu couldn't pull something like this off.
Athena chuckled a little," Thank you. I'll take it as a compliment."
"You are welcome. Anyway, earlier you mentioned I disappeared from MBI's security surveillance, what was that all about?" Uzume curiously asked.
Instead of Athena replying, it was six who answered," I had Athena hack into MBI's surveillance systems to hide us from their lenses."
" Really!? you're able to do that too!"
" To be honest, it was nothing. Hacking into their system is child's play to me." Athena shrugged thinking it was no big deal.
"There are no surprises with you huh? Can I ask Why?" Uzume asked.
" Answer me this question, do I look like I want to be seen by the public especially being constantly watched by MBI?"
It wasn't hard to see what he meant," I guess if I was a 7-foot tall, giant in armor, I would be hiding too." Uzume said, coming to that realization.
" Now you understand." Six replied
"As one of his sekireis, you are no longer on MBI's monitoring systems, they can't trace you back to here or anywhere," Athena explained.
" That means they will be constantly looking for me… does that mean I can't leave here?" Uzume asked worried Six would not let her leave out of fear of MBI using her to find him if she tried to make it back to Izumo inn. she didn't want to worry Miya, Kagari, and Matsu.
" For security reasons, no, sending you out now would be too big of a risk." Six thought the best course of action was for her to stay here, thinking it was too risky for her to go back home.
" Please, I don't want to worry the people I live with at the Inn." Uzume pleated.
Before six could say a word.
" Six, if it makes you feel better. I'm checking up on MBI's activities now. They're just investigating the construction site,"Athena said monitoring its activities," They are looking for you. And it doesn't seem like they have any of their operatives staking out your place."
' Figures, no way they wouldn't try to provoke the monster of the north' Uzume internally said, knowing MBI doesn't want to pick a fight Miya.
" Well, that's good to hear," Uzume said in relief.
" I insist you stay here, and I've already said why." Six insisted.
" Please I don't want to worry my landlady and the others there. I don't have my cell phone call them since I left it in my pants pocket back at the construction site." Uzume pleaded again.
Six thought about it for a moment wondering if it was a good idea to let her go back home with MBI searching for her.
" Fine, I'll let you head back. " Six making his decision.
A Smile lit up on Uzume's face" Ah, thank you!"
" Athena will watch you through MBI surveillance, if you get into trouble, we will spring into action, understood?" Six said.
Uzume nodded " Yeah, I understand. Now that I ask, what time is it?"
" Right now it's almost 4 o'clock" Athena answered.
"Wow. Didn't realize it was that late out already! My lunch break ended a while ago and my shift is over in an hour….haha. Why am I thinking about work ." Uzume said, after today her job should be of little unimportant, considering she was attacked and met her destin one.
Uzume collected herself " If all right with you I'm gonna head out now before it gets dark."
Six nodded" Just be careful on the way back."
" I will, and tomorrow is my day off, so I can come by sometime tomorrow," Uzume said.
" Good then, tomorrow we start another day of training. I would like you to be part of it." Said Six, wanting to get his new sekirei up to date working in his new team.
" Training?" Uzume questioned, wondering what this was about.
" For the last week, he's been training us how to properly fight and work together as a team." Uzume turned her attention to Toyotama.
" He's been training you guys?" Uzume asked.
" Yes, he has." replied Hikari," Tomorrow, prepare for hell that's all I can tell you."
" He trains us to exhaustion to the point where our bones ache," Hibiki warned.
Uzume couldn't help but gulp upon hearing this.
" Okay…. Sounds like fun." Uzume nervously said forcing a smile," Well I'll see you guys tomorrow. Have a nice night."
Uzume went towards the window of the room and was about to jump out.
" Uzume before you go," Six had one more thing to say to Uzume.
" Yes?"
" Tell no one that we're here and tell no one anything about me either." Six said with all seriousness, as he put Athena's chip back in his helmet," As my Sekirei I trust you enough to keep my whereabouts classified."
" Don't worry, I won't tell anyone. My lips are sealed.." Uzume made a gesture having her hand going across her mouth, as if she was zippering them.
" Good." Six said.
"Uzume?" Hikari getting the brunette's attention," Do you want us to come with you to make sure you make it home safely?
" No, I should be able to make it home just fine. If anything happens, I have my guardian angel watching out for me." Uzume said referring to Athena.
" Angel? That's a new one for me." Athena said through Six's speakers. It sounds like she is almost like being called that.
" Thank you for offering though. So I'll see you guys later." Uzume said saying goodbye, as she jumped out the window. Toyotama and the twins waved goodbye to her as she jumped from building to building until she disappeared.
With a MBI. Hiroto Minaka's office.
"You found no trace of number 10?"
Sahashi Takami hours of searching for number 10, returned to MBI tower to report their findings to Minaka.
She simply shook her head, "We found no trace of her anywhere, the only thing we found was pieces of her veil, her clothing, and her cell phone. Nothing. We searched the surrounding blocks and questioned nearby locals if they saw anything out of the ordinary. To our misfortune, they didn't see anything other than hearing what sounded like loud crashing sounds and gunshots." Takami reported.
" That's it?"
" The only other thing we were able to find was shell casings." Takami took a plastic bag out of her pocket and held it up in front of her to show Minaka the brass shell casings.
" From the look of them, they look like the type of rounds you would find in a magnum-style pistol, on the bottom of the case read M225 12.7×40mm SAP-HE ." Takami said reading the imprint on the shell.
"Hmm, probably some kind of futuristic bullet no doubt from Six's gun!"Minaka happily said.
Takami rolled her eyes, already wanting another cigarette.
" Whatever. I'm going to take these back to the lab for further examination and we'll see if these do belong to Six." MBI's head researcher said putting the casings back in her pocket.
" Now if you excuse me, I have to attend to 108 now," Takami said, moving on to her next appointment with the youngest Sekirei. Since the little girl has been begging her to take her outside.
As Takami began to make her way towards Number 108's chamber, she was intercepted by one of the adjusters "Chief, chief. We have a problem." said the man.
Takami looked at the adjuster she immediately recognized who this man was 'If I remember correctly this is Number 7's Akitsu Adjuster'.
Takami sighed and said "It's just one problem after another today. What is it? I'm already having a bad day and I'm not in the mood to listen to another problem."
The Adjuster bowed nervously "I'm sorry Chief, but this is an emergency.". Takami sighed and ordered the adjuster to tell her what was wrong.
"The Adjustment Failed?! What do you mean the Adjustment Failed?!" Takami screamed out.
The Adjuster shook nervously at Takami's rage but continued to speak "I was doing my duty and trying to adjust #7 for the Sekirei Plan, but during the process, her Sekirei Crest appeared on her forehead instead of the back of her neck." Takami put her right hand towards her mouth as she bit her thumbnail thinking.
"Dammit modifying Single Numbers was always a challenge, but something like this has never happened before. Shit if only we had Asama here, he would have figured out what the problem was." the adjuster on the other hand was still pleading his case.
"But Chief I did the adjustments right, I know I did it right. I did not miss a single step and I know I didn't screw up the adjustment with #7." Takami glared at her colleague "Regardless of what you think the proof of your failure is stamped on #7's forehead. I gave you this one task and because of your incompetence this is how it turns out?" the adjuster felt like Takami just slapped him across the face as he began to shake a bit under Takami's heated gaze.
After taking in a deep breath to keep both her anger and blood pressure under control, she continued "Clearly I was wrong to trust you with this. Since this simple task was beyond your abilities you are forbidden to work on or even touch another Sekirei."
the adjuster was shocked at this news and tried to defend his cause even though Takami's mind was made up "Wait Chief that isn't fair I know I didn't screw..." Before he could finish Takami interrupted "Because of your blunder we'll have to scrap number 7 from the plan, and as for you. You were her adjuster and you failed, so as of this moment, your part in the Sekirei Project is done. You're dismissed from not only the Sekirei Project but you are also dismissed from working at MBI effective immediately."
All the color drained from the adjuster's face "But..." "Get out of my sight and pack your bags. I want you out of this building in the next 20 minutes." with that Takami left the former adjuster and continued her way towards Number 108's chamber.
Meanwhile, the Adjuster just stood there with his head in his hands "I...but I didn't screw up the process, I know I followed the steps perfectly. I did not screw up, this isn't my fault. It was her...she was the problem. Because of that bitch I lost my job. She did this.".
Repeating the phrase "This is her fault" over and over again in his head like a mantra, the fired adjuster began to make his way back to the room where #7 was located in a slow unstable gait.
Back at the room where Number 7 was nude awaiting for her adjustment to finish heard the doors open up and saw her Adjuster standing in the doorway.
"Ah...Adjuster Ichida you're back." Akitsu said. Before she could ask the Adjuster if Chief Takami had come up with an idea to help her, she saw that something wasn't right with her Adjuster.
He was slouching, and his hands were twitching, but what unnerved her was the glazed, unfocused look in his eyes. Like the Adjuster was on auto-pilot.
Akitsu confused called to her adjuster once more "Adjuster Ichida." this seemed to break him out of his trance as he slowly began to walk towards Akitsu he glared at her with such hatred it sent a chill up her spine "This is all your fault." he said.
Akitsu was confused "Ah...what was..." Before she could finish the Adjuster made it to her and slapped her across the face. Akitsu was stunned, but the Adjuster immediately went for her throat.
"This is all your fault. See I didn't screw up, I did everything right. It's not my fault that the adjustments didn't take you're just a defective product. A mistake that cost me everything." the adjuster began to squeeze as hard as he could around Akitsu's throat as she began to struggle to breathe.
Adjuster Ichida's face looked like a cross between a man and a rabid dog "This is your fault, if it wasn't for you I wouldn't have lost my job. The chief is wrong, wrong wrong, WRONG! I DID NOT SCREW UP YOU SCRAPPED BITCH, THE PROBLEM IS YOU! Which is why I'm going to put you out of your misery. You should be thanking me since there is no way for you to even have an Ashikabi now."
Akitsu's world began to crumble at hearing that "That's right you worthless slut, I am helping you. Now just sit back and fade into oblivion." her Adjuster said with a crazed smile across his face. As her vision began to fade as Akitsu struggled to get air into her lungs she thought about what she was told "I'm a scrapped number. I'll never be loved or find my Ashikabi. I'm defective?" the adjuster then leaned in that Akitsu could feel his breath on her face "Don't worry scrapped number. It will all be over soon."
but Akitsu wasn't paying attention as she continued to think "I'm worthless and no one wants me. I'll be alone...forever." soon only one word repeated in her mind as she began to lose consciousness "No...no...no...NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" suddenly she let out a scream as her powers activated.
After that, the room went quiet, but Akitsu noticed that she could breathe easier now. slowly opening her eyes she saw that she froze the floor and the examination table, while icicles dotted the walls all around her. But in front of her was where she felt her fear seize her heart as she saw her adjuster pinned to the wall like a piece of macabre piece of artwork.
One of her icicles pierced the middle of his chest and acted as the nail holding the corpse there, one pierced his right thigh and another one went through his left knee. But it was the face that disturbed Akitsu the most as one icicle skewered the adjuster through the mouth and another through his left eye, but the creeping thing was that in his remaining eye, she could still see the anger and hatred the man had for her, almost like even in death his hateful glare was still staring deep into her soul.
Akitsu knew she had made a grave mistake, she killed a human and even though it was in self-defense it was still forbidden for Sekirei to harm humans let alone kill them. She knew she had to escape before word got out. Moving towards the body of Ichida Akitsu was able to remove the icicle in his chest causing him to fall to the ground. Then she took his shirt and his lab coat still stained in his blood.
Once she was dressed she used her powers to punch a hole into the wall and in front of her was the city. Wasting no time she jumped out of the exam room and onto some buildings near the clock tower and as she began to run her thoughts only focused on the things her adjuster told her "I'm...a defective product. I was scrapped and thrown away." while jumping she remembered what Number 8, Yume said about Sekireis.
She said that Sekireis were known as birds that taught others about love and that one day all 108 of them would be free to spread their wings and show love to the world "That can never be me. Now...because I'm a scrapped number...I will never know or find my destined one. I...will...never know...true love." As she continued jumping from building to building Akitsu could feel the hot tears falling from her eyes as they traveled down her cheek "I am worthless." and that was the one thing she kept repeating over and over in her head.
As this all was happening, a security camera inside the room, caught everything that happened.
Inside Hiroto Minaka's office. MBI's CEO witnessed the ice murder with a grin on his face.
Ichida was one of his more incompetent scientists. In his last moments, he acted like a maniac, trying to kill his failure. In the end, his failure killed him.
He definitely will not be missed.
However, though number seven.
" Though, you cannot be winged and can not have an Ashikabi. You'll make for an exciting wild card in this game.!" Minaka proclaimed with joy.
Back with Takami, after hearing about the failed adjustment of number seven and losing track of number 10. MBI's head researcher was not in the best moods, especially when she had to deal with her boss's antics 24/7 enough to drive anyone insane and overworked.
She hoped being around number 108 would brighten her mood. However, her mood was about to worsen. She felt her phone vibrating in her coat pocket.
Taking it out and looking at the ID she saw it was from security.
'This can't be good' Takami already dreading what she was about to hear.
Taking a deep breath, she answered," This Takmi, what's going on?"
" Miss! We have a situation here, number seven has killed Doctor Ichida and she has Escaped!" Security alerts it on the other side.
" What!?" The head researcher, not believing what she just heard," Number seven killed Ichida!?"
" Yes, Madam. Will send you the security feed." Security replied on the other end.
Takmi received the video on her phone and watched the surveillance footage. She watched the doctor she just fire tried to strangle number seven to death. Before she saw number 7 turned him into Swiss cheese with her icicles.
Takami even though she didn't show it she was a bit horrified at what she saw. Though sites like this didn't even phase her anymore, considering she had seen the 1st discipline squad wipe out the first invasion force.
For Ichida, a cold end for a mediocre adjuster.
The rest of the video showed her escape before the footage ended.
" What do you want us to do Madame? Send security forces and the discipline squad after her?" Security wondering what their next move should be.
Before the head researcher could even give out an order.
Minaka's face suddenly appeared on her phone.
" No, leave her be." He ordered.
Takami shocked! By this point, she shouldn't be, "Minaka! You can't be serious? She just….."
" I'm well aware of what she did. It was in self-defense. " Minaka replied interrupting Takami.
" Then why …." Takami got interrupted again.
" Easy! To make this game more entertaining." Minaka proclaimed with joy.
Takami just sighed, she should've expected that answer.
"Minaka, what's the point? She can't even be winged. There's no point of her to even take part in the plan." Takami tried to reason even knowing nothing, she says well convince him.
" My dear Takami, do you not see she would make for an interesting wild card? A sekirei who cannot be winged or have an ashikabi would make things more interesting." Minaka said, with a grin on his face.
Takami gave him a frustrated sign.
"Oh, come on don't give me that look!" Minaka complained seeing that look on her face," Who knows maybe some Ashikabi will take her in. It might even be Noble Six that claims her." He proclaimed, believing NobleSix would be the one to claim her.
Without even saying a word, Takami just turned off her phone and put it back in her pocket.
" Well… things can't get worse," Takami said to herself making her way to 108.
Arriving at the youngest sekireis quarters, the door slid open revealing number 108 patiently waiting for her sitting on her coot, letting her leg swing back and forth.
Number 108, Kusano. The last and the youngest sekirei, appearance, looking to be either six to maybe eight years of age with long yellow hair and forest green eyes.
The young girl heard the door slide open, an excited smile appeared on her seeing Dr. Sahashi.
"Sahashi-San!" Kusano happily greeted her, jumped off her bed, and ran over to her. A warm smile appeared on Takami seeing the little girl greet her.
" I'm happy to see you too Kusano." Takami said giving Kusano a pat on the head.
" Are you here to finally take me outside!" Kusano asked, wanting to see the outside world for the first time.
Takami nodded. Kusano like all of the Sekireis growing up under MBI, lived sheltered lives growing up in their laboratories, and the only glimpse of the outside world they only got was the TVs that played in the labs.
Takami if she had the proper authority would've raised them better than this, since it made most of the sekireis naïve, and unprepared for the real world.
" Yes, only for a few hours, and then we have to go back to the lab, understand?"
"Hmmhmm." Kusano hummed.
" Then let's not waste any more time, let's go" Takami extended her hand out to Kusano.
"Kusano took the head researcher's hand and walked down the halls. Kusano is excited that she finally gets to see the outside world for the first time and hopefully find her Destined one, her Ashikabi."
Somewhere else.
Mikogami Hayato was not in the best of moods. Hours ago, Mitsuha and Mitsuki failed to bring back number 10, a sekirei he had his eyes on for a few weeks when he went into that store, she works at to pick up a new suit and saw her there and he knew right away she was sekirei. He just had to confirm if she had a Ashikabi or not. He had his sekireis spy on her for the last couple of days. Once Mikogami knew she had no Ashikabi, he sent numbers 38 and 39 to retrieve her.
Hours later, they came back without number 10. Instead, he was greeted with the sight of Mitsuki carrying an unconscious Mitsuha.
He thought at the time there was no way one unwinged sekirei could beat up two winged sekireis. Mitsuki told him what happened. Surprised to hear it was the armored giant known as Noble Six and his sekirei number 16, Toyotama, that got in the way and stopped them from taking number 10.
Mikogami still remembers the text he got from Minaka a week ago, telling him and other known Ashikabis participating in the game about a new player.
He saw the video of this armored, 7-foot-tall hulking robot thing that looked like it came from an anime or a video game. Fighting the sekireis of the East. Like all the fights he's witnessed up until now, this was exciting to watch.
He hoped that one day they'd face each other in the competition; maybe if he won, Mikogami wondered if the armored individual would let him have his armor as a trophy since it looked so cool in his eyes!
However, now, Mikogami was pissed the Spartan got in the way. He was even more pissed when Mitsuki delivered the warning six gave her to him.
Mikogami had a temper tantrum.
"Who is he to tell me what I can and cannot have?!"
After his little tantrum, Mikogami went for a drive around the city in his limo with Number 43 Yomi and his very first Sekirei number five Mutsu.
Mikogami leaned against the car door with his elbow resting at the bottom of the window, and his hand supporting his head, staring out the window, watching people from other cars go by as they were driving.
" Cheer up, master. I'm sure we'll find number 10 again and bring him back to you to be yours." Yomi said trying to brighten her masters mood.
"I wanted her now!" the brat whined, "If it wasn't for that big ogre of an ashikabi I would've had her by now! For all I know she could be his sekireis by now."
"We haven't gotten any confirmation if number 10 has been winged or not. " Mutsu said sitting next to Mikogami.
" I hope he didn't! Because I want that sekirei to be a part of my collection, not his! Mutsu, Yomi if we ever come across this giant, I want the both of you to turn him in to scrap metal, you hear me!" Mikogami angrily said wanting to make an example of the Spartan.
Yomi responded first," I'll slice his head off with my death scythe master. I'll make him pay for disrespecting you by taking number 10 away" Yomi said proudly.
Mikogami didn't respond, he just kept staring out the window. Then something outside the window caught his eye.
" Driver stop!" Mikogami shouted.
The limo came to a complete stop," Something caught your eye, Mikogami?" Mutsu asked wondering what made him stop the car.
"Look." The young man pointed out the window.
Mutsu and Yomi saw another limo part to the sidewalk with MBI's Markings on it. A middle-aged woman emerged from the backseat door, wearing a lab coat with a young girl holding her hand.
They watched them walk to the entrance of the park.
Mutsu took him a few moments to realize who the middle-aged woman was," I know her, Sahashi Takami."
"Who?" Mikogami took his attention to Mutsu.
"Sahashi Takami, MBI's head researcher into the Sekirei plan."Mutsu answered.
" Really!?" Mikogami said before taking his attention back to the people of interest," That young girl with her could she be a Sekirei?"
" Possible, why got your eyes set on her?" Mutsu asked, even though he probably knew the answer. When his master has his eye set on something, he wants it.
" Of course!" Mikogami exclaimed," If I can't claim number 10, then I'll add this one to my collection."
"Mikogami, are you sure? I ask because she's just a child." Mutsu like all sekirei, allowed him to have another sekirei to expand their flock. However, Mutsu felt a little uncomfortable with the situation since she was only a little kid.
" I don't care! I want her." Mikogami responded making the older Sekirei sigh a little even though he was expecting that response.
"Yomi, follow them for me!" Mikogami ordered.
" With pleasure, my master." Yomi obeys the orders without hesitation. She got out of the limo jumped into the air and started following them.
Kusano was having fun running through the field of flowers, her first time in the outside world, feeling the warm sun against her skin, and the grass beneath her feet.
As she was enjoying herself, she saw a cat, not too far away from her and ran up to it.
Kneeling" Hey kitty, come here." The young sekirei said, extending her arm, trying to pet it.
She didn't get a chance when she heard Takami call out to her.
" It's time to go, we have to head to the lab now Kuu."
Kusano was disappointed, hearing that her time was up and the cat she tried to pet ran off somewhere making her sad.
Obeying Takami they started heading back, holding hands as they walked through the field of flowers.
As they were walking, Kusano couldn't help but ask, "So…my Ashikabi Is like a big brother?"
" Yep, if you're a good girl you'll get to meet him one day," Takami replied.
" I will?" Kusano said with some excitement. One day, hoping to meet the one she was destined to fall in love with.
" uh-huh, you sure will" Takami replied again
Then something made them stop telling their tracks. Someone appeared before them, a moderately tall and thin female Sekirei who had brown hair and eyes and wore a black gown with matching gloves and stockings, with red accents throughout. She wears red ribbons in her hair and around her neck. In her hand, she held a scythe
Takami recognized her, number 43 Yomi one of the southern sekireis.
Takami wasn't hard for her to figure out that she was probably here for Kusano, Takami adjusted her body, preparing to either run or shield Kusano.
Yomi let a laugh escape her throat, catching such easy prey. She took her scythe and swung it at Takami.
"Kusano!" Takami shielded the little girl. The scythe struck Takami's left side of her face, missing her eyeball.
MBI's head researcher got on her knees, applying pressure to her wound as blood started bleeding all over her hand and face.
Kusano ran to Takami's side, to see if she was OK. Yet at the same time, Kusano was scared of what was going to happen.
Looking across from them, they saw a young man standing next to Yomi. Takami recognized him too. Mikogami Hayato.
" You two." Takami bitterly said.
The young man just smirked and approached them, immediately going straight to Kusano.
Kneeling and putting his hand on her chin, he tried to kiss her. Kusano knew what he was doing, he was trying to make her his sekirei. the young sekirei immediately took her hand and tried to push him away.
"NO!" Kusano screamed before she managed to push him away from her.
Kusano started to cry.
"No Kusano! Don't do it!" Takami yelled, reaching out for Kusano, realizing what was about to happen.
Kusano scream. Then suddenly plants all around them started to grow gigantic at a fast alarming rate before everyone disappeared amongst them.
Sometime later Uzume made it safely back to Izumo Inn, landing right in front of the front door.
Uzume gently, and quietly opened the door, peeking her head inside, she didn't see Miya or Kagari in sight.
' Good.' the brunette sekirei thought to herself. She hoped to sneak in quietly and get to her room, without drawing anyone's attention, and change into her normal clothing to hide the bandages.
Uzume quietly walked in the door and carefully shut the door behind her. She silently started walking up the stairs.
Halfway up the stairs, the middle step made a creek once she stepped on it, making the brunette flinch nervously.
" Is someone there?" Uzume heard her land lady's voice.
'Oh. no' Uzume thought.
Uzume hesitated for a moment, wondering if she should say something or not. However, she ended up being too late when she heard footsteps, and before she knew it, she saw Miya at the bottom of the stairs, staring at her.
"Uzume?" Miya said seeing who it is.
"Ah. Hi Miya." The brunette greeted nervously.
"Uzume, where have you been? I got a call from your work asking where you were, I even called Ayumi if you were with her, but she said no. I was getting a little worried that something might've happened to you." Miya said, then taking a closer look at Uzume," Looks like something did happen to you." Miya saw the bandages, wrapped around her arms and shoulders, and she even noticed Uzume was wearing completely different clothing than what she left in this morning however, that wasn't important.
" Why are you covered in bandages?" Miya asked with worry.
Uzume wondered what to tell Miya as she promised Six and the others she would keep the Spartan's existence a secret, but she knew if she tried to lie her way out, Miya would instantly know something was up and would probably use her creepy Hannya Mask on her until she told the truth. Caught between a rock and a hard place Uzume was looking for any way out of this situation. Not finding anything, she immediately took a deep breath mentally and began to give Miya parts of the truth.
Uzume smiled and said "Well you are right that I got into a spot of trouble." she chuckled nervously as she rubbed the back of her head. Miya responded with an "Oh my" and put her right hand to her mouth as she looked with concern at her tenant "What happened, Uzume?". Uzume began to tell her of a modified version of the events that happened.
Uzume scratched her left cheek as she said " Well I was going out to enjoy my lunch when I was approached by two Sekirei, I think they were from the South. They wanted to lead me back to their Ashikabi, but they wouldn't take no for an answer. So I bolted as fast as I could jumping on buildings to get away. They were still able to keep up though, so I had to take off my clothes so I could use my battle attire underneath. After that, I found a place where there were no humans around and we began to fight."
Miya nodded "Well that explains the bandages, but what happened next how did you get away?" Uzume smiled and said "Well while we were fighting and I was on my last leg, that was when a man appeared and he was able to help me get away. Afterward" Uzume still had a smile on her face even as her face began to turn red "I realized that the man who saved me was my Ashikabi and well." at this Uzume turned around, moving her hair out of the way to show her landlady her new Sekirei Crest on the nape of her neck.
Miya smiled warmly as she saw the crest on Uzume's neck "Congratulations Uzume, I'm glad you two were able to get away and that you found your destined one. I assume your Ashikabi bought you those clothes and placed those bandages on you?" Uzume nodded "Yeah he said I might get some unwanted attention if I didn't wear some normal clothes. After he bandaged me up and bought me new clothes I made my way back here." Uzume finished her story hoping Miya wouldn't ask further questions.
Miya looked at Uzume with a smile "I'm glad that you found your Ashikabi, and as long as you are safe that is all that matters." Uzume mentally breathed a sigh of relief as she said to Miya that she was going to go to her room and change out of her clothes. As Uzume went to her room Miya's eyes narrowed at her tenant as she could tell she left some parts out and by her nervousness, she could tell that there was a secret that she was hiding. "I'll go to Matsu and see what happened to Uzume." Miya then moved back to the kitchen to prepare for tonight's dinner.
Hours later, close to midnight.
Six was on another one of his night patrols, keeping the perimeter safe with the girls sound asleep inside.
Feeling the perimeter would be fine, six checked as weapons, making sure they were locked and loaded.
Tonight was the night he was finally going to do the raid.
Once he was done, checking his weapons," Athena how is base security?"
A moment later, his synthetic partner appeared on his HUD," Monitoring their security, right now security seems to be light at the moment with most of the personnel sleeping in their bunks with only a skeleton crew guarding it. "
Athena brought up security footage from the armory, showing only a handful of guards while the rest were in their barracks sleeping.
For Six this looks like a walk in the park for him.
" Let's do this, I put this off for far too long." Six said preparing to leave the factory grounds.
"Agreed. " Athena nodded agreeing, "I also took the liberty of monitoring the number of sekirei who have been winged up till now."
" What percentage are we at now?" Six now wondering how far along the number of sekireis that have been winged.
" After winging Uzume, the percentage is now up to 86% another few more, and stage two begins." Athena informed," So we don't have a lot of time left."
"That's why I need to begin operations right now, no more distractions." Six felt like he had several distractions that prevented him from hitting MBI from disciplining his sekireis and achieving his new one Uzume, now is the time to strike. Leaving the base and moving through the darkness of night.
" Six I have also been meaning to ask, I do have MBI's flight schedules between the capital and Kamikura island you asked me to get last week and I'm wondering when you want to head there, and also infiltrating the tower too?" Athena asked about their future objectives wondering what six had planned.
" For the tower, I want to wait till I have the proper weapons and equipment to infiltrate it quietly. Kamikura island, I want to head there when MBI forces in the city have been taken down by 50% or more. The destruction of the sekirei ship to be the final death nail in Minaka's coffin." Six laying out his plan to his synthetic partner.
" I see, dismembering the beast, one at a time before going to the heart." Athena understands the Spartan's plan.
" Exactly." Six said taking a shortcut through an alleyway.
"Earlier, what Toyotama said. You know that's not what she was talking about, Right?" Athena said knowing full well what Toyotama meant.
" I'm well aware of what she was talking about." Six was no fool as to what his sekireis wanted from him. It was just he didn't buy it. To have 20 years of Minaka's nonsense, crammed into their heads. He wasn't sure if their feelings for him were even real to begin with. He believes all the sekirei's feelings they have for their Ashikabi's to be manufactured. No doubt naïve ones like number 88 bought into that crap hook line and sinker.
" We'll discuss this later, we have a mission." The Spartan didn't want to dwell on the subject. He has a mission to accomplish.
"Understood." Athena acknowledged, there were more important things than sekirei and Spartan relations.
Spartans like Six, relationships for Spartans were one of brotherhood and sacrifice. Intimate ones were discouraged and in the case of SPARTAN III's avenging the deaths of their families at the hands of the Covenant, and trying to save humanity above all else. So pretty much those ideals were pushed aside. However, despite it all, Six knows when he's being conned.
Sneaking his way back into the east, memorizing the patrol routes of Higa's six easily avoided them.
Sometime later, he stood outside the base, instead of his vantage point. The spartan was cloaked standing opposite side of the street, staring at the fence 20 to 30-foot fence in front of him.
Six before he made his first move.
Athena appeared on the screen," Also, let me remind you don't forget about Takami. Because this could affect our possible alliance."
Six found what he was looking for one of MBI's military trucks moving towards the entrance. Six moved and sprinted toward the vehicle and when it came to a stop at the checkpoint, the spartan immediately got on the ground before crawling under the truck and grabbing onto the undercarriage "Somehow I doubt this raid will affect an alliance between us. From what I have read about in the profile you made, Takami doesn't care at all for MBI. She seems more focused on the Sekirei and their protection. If anything this will put us in a good light as it would make that crackhead of a boss look like a dumbass."
Athena thought about it "That is true, but I was thinking more of the increase in their security after you pull this." Just then Six felt the truck begin to move as the driver moved past the checkpoint "I still doubt whatever they use to increase their security won't be a much for us." Athena smirked "Also true.".
The truck didn't go more than half a mile before coming to a stop. Before Six could wonder what was happening, the door to the driver's side opened and Six could see that the driver got out.
Six was able to hear the driver grumble out "What the hell is going on?" as the driver got on one knee before bending over with a flashlight in hand and turning it on "Let's see why this hunk of junk feels heavier." the driver the looked underneath the trying to find an answer. Unfortunately for the driver, he would never know that the added weight was from a super soldier in heavy armor. Thanks to his cloaking mod, Six remained completely invisible to the driver's sight.
After a minute of looking for anything wrong, the driver grunted and gave up "They don't pay me enough for this shit." he muttered to himself before getting back into the truck and driving away with Six still there. "Athena pull up a map of the base." Six ordered.
"Already on it." she replied, the Spartan then saw a mini-map of the entire base on his HUD "The armory is located here." the AI said and added a marker on the location of the target. Six could see the armory was located in the back of the base just like he thought, thankfully it wasn't too far away from the rear entrance "As for where we are." Athena then put another marker on one of the roads that began to move. Six saw that he was moving away from the armory, so the Spartan let go of the undercarriage and waited until the truck passed over him before moving off the road toward the armory, all while sticking to the shadows.
Moving silently through the base Six was notified by Athena that his cloak was about to drop, moving quickly Six was able to find some big crates that he could use to hide. The Spartan moved quickly and was able to make it before his cloak gave out, Six took this time to look around him. Six was able to spot a Sniper tower with a searchlight going over the area he had to travel as well as four guards guarding the armory "This will be easy." Six thought as he waited for Athena to let him know that he could use his cloak again.
When Athena told the Spartan that he had ten seconds left until the cloak was ready, Six moved as fast as he could when the Searchlight was on the far side of the path away from Six. Thanks to his speed and the enhancing power of his Mjolnir armor Six was easily able to make it to the far wall of a building next to his objective.
Six then got on one knee and looked around; he saw no change in movement from the soldiers, which told him he wasn't spotted yet. Looking back at the armory, the Spartan saw that there were two guards in front of the main entrance to the building that allowed for trucks to come in and get supplies, and there were two more guards at a side entrance.
Six was in the process of coming up with a plan to both neutralize them and hide the bodies when he knocked them out he noticed a couple of security cameras around the building "Athena did you..." he was immediately cut off by his AI partner "Yes don't worry. I hacked into their security feeds while you were underneath the truck. MBI's cameras thermals and light spectrum cameras are under my control, as far as anyone knows you are a ghost." Six was grateful for Athena's quick thinking "Anything else I should know?" the Spartan asked.
That was when Athena put some files on display in his HUD like "I also decided to hack into the EMPs they have around the facility and now they are under my control. So if MBI tries to follow us when we escape I can turn their countermeasures against them and give them a taste of their own medicine." Six smiled " Good work, Athena." returning to scoping out the armory, Six found a military truck with a canopy set up in the back. This gave him an idea, looking around he saw a couple of pebbles near him and after picking up a few Six activated his cloak and began to put his plan into action.
Moving behind the truck, the Spartan asked his AI partner, "Hey Athena, can you record what the guards will say?" Athena answered quickly, "Yes, that shouldn't be a problem, but why?" The sixth response was a quick "You'll see." Six then threw one of the pebbles away from him, causing a sound that alerted the two guards by the side entrance. "What the hell was that?" asked one of them. "It was probably a rat or something," said the other. "Shouldn't we go and check it out? I mean, what if it is an intruder?" The first guard sighed and said, "If you're so worried about it, why don't you check it out? But I'm telling you, it was just a rat." The second guard just groaned and began to move towards Six's position with his rifle at the ready.
Six paid attention to his motion tracker and waited until the guard was in position. Once the guard was in sight of Six's right side, the Spartan threw another pebble toward his left. The guard immediately turned around and began to move where he heard the sound, but once he was in front of Six the guard was grabbed from behind and put into a sleeper hold. All it took was several seconds and the guard was out like a light, Six then picked up his body and put it in the back of the truck.
Once he was done with that Six asked "Do you think you can create a program to sound like the guard I took out?" Athena appeared on his HUD with a smile on her face "Oh I see what you're doing, and to answer your question yes I can do that easily." ten seconds later Athena told Six that she was ready, to which Six gave her the go ahead to proceed.
While the other guard stood at attention keeping an eye out for anything suspicious, he heard his friend say "Hey I think I found something." the second guard turned to where he heard his colleague "Well was it just a rat?" instead of getting an answer he heard "You're not going to believe this, I think you should come and see this." the guard sighed and began to walk towards where his partner was "I swear to god if this is another cat you want to keep I'm shooting you in the leg." just as he was about to turn around to walk behind the truck he felt something grab his rifle, but before he could do anything he was hit in the head so hard that he lost consciousness.
Six then picked up the second guard and deposited him in the truck "That was clever, Six. Where did you get the idea?" Six said "It was from a movie I saw when I was a kid. Seemed like a good idea to imitate." he then moved to the door of the side entrance and entered the armory.
Six walked into the armory and noticed that it was very spacious which to the Spartan meant that the building was also used as a garage, after looking around Six saw he was right as he saw some trucks parked on the sides of the building "Don't worry Six I already have the cameras running a loop of the armory. You can deactivate your cloak now." Athena said. Six did just that as it looked like he materialized out of thin air. Scanning the room one more time he saw where MBI kept the weapons in the building and moved towards the area.
Once he made it he found that there was a locked door to protect the armaments within the mesh environment. Easily Six ripped the door off the hinges and began to do some window shopping. When Six stepped into the area and started walking down the aisles, the Spartan felt like he was in a war museum.
The first aisle he went down was dedicated to pistols, machine guns, and rifles. Six saw multiple Minebea P9s and the H&K SFP9-MS, as well as the Minebea 9mm Machine Pistols. Speaking of machine guns, Six found a couple of Sumitomo MINIMI 5.56mm Machine Gun, and to his surprise, he saw two Sumitomo J2 12.7mm Heavy Machine Gun. If Six remembered correctly that weapon could fire .50 BMG caliber bullets
"That is going to be very useful." he said to himself. "True and with your enhanced strength you can wield it like an assault rifle," Athena said. Six turned to the other side of the aisle and saw several Howa Type 20 assault rifles as well as a couple of M24 Sniper Rifles.
Six then moved to the next aisle and saw a row of assault rifles from M4 Carbine, FN SCAR, and the HK 416 and HK 417 rifles too. On the other side, he saw some more heavy ordinance such as the M32A1 Grenade Launcher, a couple of Type 01 Light Anti-Tank Missile Launchers, some Type 91 Portable Surface-to-Air Missile Launcher and some FIM-92A Stingers as well. At the end of the aisle, Six found boxes of ammunition and frag grenades "Alright time to load this up." Six began grabbing what he needed and moved to one of the trucks loading up the weapons.
Spending nearly an hour loading up the truck, Six did one more check on what he acquired and he was satisfied "Now that our shopping trip is done, should we make ourselves scarce?" Six nodded before saying "Before we do though we're going to create a distraction." Going back to where the weapons were he saw some C-4.
Six took the explosives and began to attach them to all the trucks in the building, after rigging the blocks of C-4 to go off with the detonator he had, the Spartan then made his way to where they kept the gas for the vehicles before putting some C-4 on the gas barrels for good measure. Satisfied with his work, Six moved towards the garage opening and turned on his cloak before opening the door.
"What the hell?!" said one of the guards, both of them turning around with their weapons raised "Who the hell opened the doors? No one is supposed to be in the building." the same guard that spoke first responded "We need to check it out." the guard then turned on the radio on his chest " G-1 to G-2. We got a situation in the armory. Need you to guard the other exit of the building."
What the guard got back was static. "G-2...Stan, Kenny you guys there?" once more he got only static. The other guard looked to his partner and asked "What the hell is going on those two should be guarding the other entrance to the armory. Why aren't they answering?" the first guard looked to his comrade "We go in check top to bottom, Eric I want you to search for the intruders and I'm gonna look for G-2." Eric looked at his friend and asked "Alright, I'll let you know if I find anything. Stay frosty, Kyle." the two then entered the armory together keeping their weapons up and scanning the entire area.
The two men reached the middle of the room Kyle tapped Eric on the arm "Alright let's split up here and remember scan everything." Eric nodded, but before they could move an invisible soldier moved behind the two grabbing them by the heads and slamming them into each other with just enough force to knock them out.
Six then moved the unconscious out of the way and hid them behind some bushes. The Spartan then got into the truck and began to drive away. As he got closer to the exit he saw the checkpoint there and told Athena to hack into their systems to raise the boom barrier to allow them to leave.
As the AI did just that Six pulled up the detonator in his hand and once they were about a few seconds away the boom barrier lifted and Six pressed the button causing the entire Armory to explode "All in all I think this was a fine raid." Athena said. Six agreed this was a good haul they found, Now he just had to get back without the girls waking up to discover what happened.

Finally! Six's first action against MBI. Sorry it took me a long time to get there. Hopefully it was worth the wait. In my last notes I apologize for the slow pace, and I'm actually I'm actually glad some of you don't mind it. Since the best way, I can write the story is at a slow pace, making sure it doesn't feel rushed and that it's consistent.
Hopefully the story been consistent up to this point.
Other than that, I'll be honest I'm actually surprised that I have 374 favorites and 477 follows. Wow! I did not expect this many people would like, and take interest in my story. This is my first story, so this tells me I'm doing something right and gives me the motivation to continue. So I'm happy that's what I'm trying to say.
Like always, I like to think all the other writers that have been helping me. The Son of Sparda 343 who helped me write parts of this chapter, he was the one who did the scene with Uzume talking with Miya, Akitsu's escape, and the raid .
Other things I like to say.
In the future, I think I'd like to try to do some more stories on other games and anime I like.

Just list some examples and I've been trying to think of some crossover ideas.
I've recently been playing the Quake 1 and Quake 2 remastered. The Quake 2 remaster probably being my favorite game of this year right next to Warhammer 40K bolt gun, and trepang2.
Anyway, I've actually been thinking about doing a Quake story based on the human Strogg war from enemy territory Quake wars, Quake 2 and Quake 4.
For those of you who are not familiar with this Series, it was made by Id software, the people who brought us doom, Wolfenstein, and rage.
There are six games in the series, and three of those six games, have a coherent story, with humanity fighting against a barbaric, cybernetic race of aliens called the Strogg, think of them like the Borg from Star Trek with a proper horror movie aesthetic. Well, the other games have been multiplayer focused and the first game being similar to Doom, alone space marine, fighting Demons. Just to give a simple explanation of those games.
I've actually been thinking of some crossovers, most of them are just what if scenarios.
Halo/ETQW, Quake 2 and 4: this crossover is a what If The UNSC fought the Strogg instead of the Covenant.
Gears of war: this is an alternate version of gears of war 4 replacing the swarm with the Strogg. Since, in my opinion, the locust died after the third game and the explanation of how they came back in the fourth game just felt lazy to me. So the new coalition faces a new enemy coming from the stars with Marcus Fenix and his Son JD up against a new enemy, more barbaric than the locust.
Code geass: I weirdly thought of this one. In the year 2065 A.T.B, after the death of demon emperor in Lelouch Vi Britannia. humanity had entered a New Age of peace and prosperity, however, that peace was about to be threatened by a new threat, a collection of cybernetic creatures made out of decaying flesh and metal have now set their sights on earth.
I just wanted to give brief descriptions of these particular stories. In future chapters in notes I'll try to release other crossover ideas. I'm not sure when I'll start any of these stories. I like to wait till I'm at a certain point in the LostWolf to start another.
However, I like to get your thoughts on the three I have here and see if any of these are worth exploring.
