Summary: I don't know... you ever see the show Gargoyles?
Amity and Luz figured it would be a basic spell, their final project before the end of the school year. One that Luz wanted to work on, just in case Emperor Belos tries something again... a way to cure Petrification.
"Alright, we might have it this time." Luz said.
"I hope so, I'm tired of using a spell to make apples turn to stone." Amity said, "Besides, there is no telling that this would work without using someone that was actually petrified. This is just a simple spell that can turn fruit to stone."
"Well, if you haven't noticed, I don't have a petrified person around." Luz said, "So this is the best we have. Now, stone it!"
Amity placed an apple on the ground and made the spell circle. The apple turned to stone and they looked at each other.
"Alright, let's do this." Luz said.
Luz started to draw the glyph and the pressed it.
"Alright... why is nothing happening?" Luz asked.
"Maybe you just need a jump boost." Amity said, "Try it again and I'll put my hands on it as well."
Luz put her hands on the glyph and Amity made her hands glow with magic. Amity placed her hands on Luz's and put magic into the glyph to give it a jump start. Amity and Luz removed their hands and saw... a stone apple.
"Why isn't that working?" Luz asked.
"You know, maybe we should take a break. It might be helpful."
"You're probably right."
They left the room, unaware the apple began to turn back as the sun began to set. Luz and Amity walk down the stairs and into the kitchen.
"So, can I get my awesome girlfriend a drink?" Luz asked, "Keep in mind the only type of Apple Blood we have is the alcoholic variety... you don't want to make that mistake, trust me."
"Please don't tell me you drank it without reading the label." Amity said.
"... So, this is the kitchen." Luz said, walking away from Amity.
Amity smiled and rolled her eyes, unaware of their future curse. Soon, they will only be able to move during the night, stuck in stone during the day.
