Summary: Darius never thought he would make a good parent, until he was finally given the chance. Who would've thought this little Human would make him the happiest dad in the world?

It was a normal day for the Abomination Coven Head, Darius, when he suddenly heard a cry in the nearby woods.

"What in Titan's name is that?" He asked.

Darius follows it till he find a human.

"Is that a human but how?"

Darius remembers that they are testing a gate in some old ruins to see if it will actually work.

"Did you seriously come from all the way over there?"

He picked up the human, it seemed that she was too young to speak, and he noticed the bad burn on her arm. He looked her over, looking for any other injuries, when he noticed something. A name on her onesie's tag.

"Luz, huh?" He asked, "I believe I remember finding an old book on the Human Language, I believe that means Light."

"I see you've made a friend." A voice said.

Darius turned around and saw the Golden Guard, his mentor.

"So young." Golden Guard said, "I say she's around a year old and with such a severe injury."

"What happened to her?"

Golden Guard sighed.

"The portal malfunctioned. We ended up destroying a street in the human world. That girl was lucky enough to be sucked in with only a minor injury."

Darius stares at the burn on her arm.

"She was almost killed by the portal?"

"Poor dear doesn't realize how close she came to death. From what I learned... her parents weren't as lucky as her." Golden Guard said, "I saw the guards moving the bodies, getting them ready for a proper burial. I would take her to the Healing Coven before the injury gets infected, although, it won't be healed completely, it will leave a bad scar."

"If I must, then I must." Darius said.

Darius took Luz to a healing witch, one of the best he's ever seen, if he plays his cards right, he could be the new Healing Coven Head, which is good because the current one is retiring.

'What am I going to do with this... human?' Darius thought.

At first, he wanted to just leave her there. He wasn't going to parent someone else's child... but the thought of such a young girl being killed because he did nothing made him feel horrible. There was only one thing he could do... take care of her until he can find her a new family.

"Alador and Odalia had have brat around Luz's age." He said with disgust in his voice, "Maybe they would be willing to take care of her."

"Are you sure that's wise?" Golden Guard asked.

"Would you stop sneaking up on me?" Darius asked, "And what do you mean?"

At the Blight house.

"Honey, where is Amity." Alador asked.

Odalia pointed to the ceiling where Amity was glued onto with abomination goo.

At the castle.

"We both know that she would be treated more like a slave than an offspring, they barely take care of their own children." Golden Guard said, "And no, I will not stop doing that, it's nice to see if you can catch me trying."

"How about you? You have kid not that much older than her."

"Darius, I think you're missing the point." Golden Guard said, "I've seen you, your heart is growing cold, this could be a gift from the Titan, a way to turn you around, to make you happy."

Darius looked at her, he had to admit she was cute.

"I guess I can take care of her for a little while."

"Yes, you can." Golden Guard said, "I always thought you would make a good father."
