First things first I just wanna say this story blew up way faster than I thought. There's only one chapter and I got like 50 favs and follows nutty Icl. With that being said I'm gonna address the reviews same way I do for Heavenly Restricted.
Raye23: So is his quirk the Byakugan?
Ant: Nuh uh
KayBiJay: No way Izuku wouldn't analyze the shit out of his quirk.
Ant: He DID analyze his quirk, he was able to figure out his range limit, drawbacks, and other sub-abilities he has a few days after getting it. But after being constantly told that it won't get him far in hero work he believes that it's all his quirk will ever be and aside from police and minor rescue work it has limited function when it comes to saving lives.
GamerLadJohn:So, maybe I'm just reading this wrong, but he could predict Bakugo's movements and fight him off as a little kid with help of his quirk, see the "Energy" of quirks when they're being used or about to be used, and also has a psuedo-xray vision, and supposedly a fourth or fifth thing he doesn't realize judging by the blue flames... and he thinks his quirk is completely useless and hasn't tried to experiment and study his quirk ONCE since he got it? And seemed to just forget what all his quirk could do outside the ray vision by his time in middle school? I'm so confused..
Ant: He couldn't predict his movements. Katsuki corrected himself and said Izuku wasn't predicting him, merely recognizing when he activated his quirk and dodging before he could actually finish activating it. And the reason he he thinks his quirk is useless is because the person he associates with strength, with being a hero (aside from All Might) is constantly saying he won't become one. It doesn't matter if Izuku is super smart, that much mental and physical abuse at his age will leave ANYONE feeling as if they aren't worth much.
DustYetDusty:Ok so people are way too used to Izuku being some sort of analytical mastermind. The fact is, he's creative. He works off what he knows and tries to apply different way of using a quirk, a method he isn't sure would even work. However, he had not done the same thing for himself until, he was put on the spot in the Quirk Apprehension Test. He had a couple weeks to figure more about it but he didn't.
That being said, this version of Izuku is more in line with Izuku's canon tendencies aside from the wanting to die part, as he'd still want to try to get to UA. He geeks out when he finds out something new about his quirk but still has yet to actually expand on it, just like how he learned how to break his limbs in canon by making the area e uses it smallet but never tries spreading it until much much later.
Now onto the actual story. I see what you did with the title btw lol.
Izuku has a visionary quirk that lets him see more.
That's the super dumbed down jist of it. But it's SO very useful its ridiculous. Heck, I could see All For One wanting a quirk THIS insanely useful and easy to use. However, due to its nature it makes sense he wouldn't immediately think to se it in a way that could help him, and he probably wouldn't need to anyway. As it is, if Izuku was to fight against an emitter type quirk, it would look like he's either prediciting or seeing the future given how he can see when someone's going to use their quirk. Though, just like he pointed out, that means NOTHING if his body can't keep up.
Overall, this is a very solid start. I'd like to see more soon!
Ant: Thank you, like actually. You said basically everything I was thinking especially in regards to Izuku v Katsuki. It doesn't matter if Izuku can recognize whenever Katsuki uses his quirk, he's 5'5 and light as a feather meanwhile Katsuki towers over him and has been training himself into the ground in preparation for UA. This doesn't mean Izuku won't cook up later, my Goat gon put up numbers trust.
Izuku had expected the impact to be filled with cold, unbearable pain.
What he was met with, however, was anything but.
"I AM HERE!" A booming voice bellowed as Izuku felt the wind race beside him.
"All Might?! Did I die and go to hero heaven?!?!" The greenette cracked his blue eyes open and was greeted with the sight of pearly whites smiling down at his lithe frame.
"ARE YOU ALRIGHT YOUNG MAN?!" His heart raced as he took note of the genuine concern in his idol's voice.
"I-I'm alright" From his position on All Might's shoulder, Izuku was able to make out the number one hero's destination.
"The mental hospital…" Izuku frowned deeply. In his excitement at being saved by his idol, he'd forgotten why he was getting saved in the first place.
"I-I'm a-alright. You don't have to take me t-there…" The greenettes tone was low, nearly a mutter, but All Might heard it nonetheless.
"Look…"
"Midoriya"
"Look, Young Midoriya, you attempted to end your life today. I'm no professional but I do know you need to talk to someone" The man's voice was hearty as ever but lost its booming volume and playful tone.
As the two rushed through the air, Izuku realized something.
"I can ask All Might if I can be a hero. If he believes me it won't matter what Kacchan says" and so he asked.
"I'm sorry Young Midoriya, without a proper offensive quirk you'd have little to no success in the hero business…it'd be best you use that power for something akin to police work, if you're interested I have a contact in the force who you can shadow until you're finished with school!"
Izuku truly wished he hadn't been saved.
The greenette shot his gaze elsewhere, focusing his vision so as to pay attention to anything but the mental health clinic they were rapidly approaching.
"Can you tell me when these thoughts started?" He'd been in the clinic for all of 7 minutes and hated every second of it.
"I-I've thought about it in p-passing, but I never p-planned to actually do it…not until today." The dark-skinned man ran a finger through his jaw-length locs, eyes shifting down towards his clipboard before refocusing on his client.
"Can you tell me when exactly they started?" A thoughtful look washed over Izuku's face as he attempted to pinpoint when exactly he started to feel this way.
"When I revealed my quirk to my former friend." There was no stutter, no nervousness, no anything. Izuku looked tired, as he watched the therapist scribble even more notes onto his clipboard.
"I assume that friend began to bully you severely?"
"Yes."
"Can you give me an example?"
"Are any students here interested in learning an instrument?" The class remained silent as they stared at the cocoa-colored woman, silence filling the classroom as neither party refused to break it.
Until Izuku raised his hand.
"I-I w-would Ms.Stella" Almost immediately a warm smile washed over the taller woman's face as she softly clapped her hands together.
"That's wonderful Midoriya! Do you know what you'd like to play by chance? It's ok if you don't." The greenette briefly thought of all the instruments he knew of and wondered if he'd be good at any of them before coming to the conclusion that he had no clue.
"I-I don't…" His tone trailed off as he attempted to avert his gaze to the termite eating away at a construction site three kilometers away. Stella smiled knowingly before speaking to the boy once more.
"That's completely okay! I shuffled through a myriad of instruments before I landed on the piano. Trying new things is, in my opinion, one of the best things about music. Would you like me to recommend you an instrument to start with?" Izuku refocused his eyes on his teacher, surprised at her kindness and eagerness to help him succeed.
"Y-Yes p-please"
"Wonderful! I've seen you write for extremely long periods without breaks or cramping so I was thinking of guitar; that way you have a fair amount of finger strength and flexibility to start you off."
"O-Ok" The greenette would be lying if he said he wasn't excited to begin learning to play an instrument. He'd heard from a myriad of interviews that a plethora of his favorite heroes all had some sort of hidden talent, most of said talents being music-related.
"Maybe if I become a hero they'd interview me about my talents…if" The positive train of thought soon soured causing the lithe boy to shake it out of his head.
"Perfect! I'll lend you a Fender Telecaster and an amp to start but do know that it belongs to the school so if you break it you buy it as we say in America!" The chocolate-skinned woman chuckled at her own joke as she handed the boy the sunburst-colored guitar and chunky Ibanez amplifier.
"T-Thank you!" For the first time in his life, Izuku felt believed in, even if it wasn't in regards to hero work. He'd decided to pick up an instrument on what was basically a whim and this woman had utter faith in him.
It felt nice.
"So you play guitar?" The dark-skinned man sported a small smile on his face as he tossed a glance back to his Les Paul and Jaguar, both guitars proudly on display in his office.
"A-And Cello…It started a-as a way to have s-something interesting f-for i-interviews but now I enjoy playing" The therapist nodded before jotting what he said onto his clipboard.
"I see. What happened after that?"
After class had been dismissed Izuku gathered his newly acquired gear and began to walk out of the classroom.
Only to be blocked by one Katsuki Bakugou.
Focusing his vision, Izuku scanned the classroom and adjacent hallways searching for any semblance of staff only to find that nothing of the such was nearby.
"I heard you mutter about why you wanted to pick up an instrument."
Shit
"I-It w-wasn't anything s-serious I pro-" The greenette cut himself off as he leaned backward to narrowly avoid an explosion, causing him to fall on his back.
"In case you've forgotten, your cursed quirk is nothing compared to mine. So what if that cursed quirk can see some shitty cursed energy, it will never be enough to become even the shittiest of a hero." With every word, the blonde took another step closer to the cowering form of his classmate, menacing explosions popping off in his palms.
Izuku stared at the larger boy with nothing but fear in his eyes. A screaming Katsuki was horrifying enough, but a calm one was even scarier.
Because when he was calm was when he would hurt Izuku the worst.
Leaning down to grab the smaller boy's collar, Katsuki raised the trembling form of Izuku up with his left hand before sending an explosive right fist into his victim's jaw, shattering it. Izuku's eyes widened as he began to claw at the larger boy's arm in hopes of freeing himself while spitting out chunks of blood between screams. Katsuki's grip remained strong as he used his free arm to strip the boy of his school jacket, exposing pail, scarred skin.
"Every time you even THINK of becoming a hero, remember this pain." Izuku didn't need to use his quirk to know what was coming next yet no matter how hard he struggled.
He couldn't break free.
With a flash of his palm, Katsuki sent a scalding explosion into the boy's chest, burning hunks of skin and flesh of the boy, slightly exposing the underlying bone.
The scream that followed was horrific.
"…oh my god" The therapist had long since abandoned his clipboard as he ran his fingers through his locs, glasses discarded on the floor.
"Yeah… b-but at least Cursed Energy s-sounds c-cool" As he spoke, Izuku could feel the familiar burning pain in the wound that arose whenever he thought of the incident two years ago. The therapist inhaled deeply for a while before rushing toward his cell phone and dialing a number.
"Hello? Yes, this is Dr.McKnight, I'd like to report a case of attempted mur-" Izuku quickly rushed to the taller man and wrangled the phone from him, ending the call.
"P-Please don't!" The therapist wore a shocked expression as he stared his client down, incapable of believing the boy wouldn't want to press charges.
"Look I know he was your friend at one point but had that explosion been even SLIGHTLY more powerful you would be six feet deep!" As the man continued to speak, Izuku noticed his American accent becoming more and more prominent and briefly wondered if he knew Ms. Stella.
"B-But I-Im ok…besides I don't wanna r-ruin his future hero career…" Blue eyes turned elsewhere as he refused to meet the older man's hazel brown. With a sigh, Dr. McKnight turned the boy's head towards himself before speaking.
"Look, I can't force you to do anything but I implore you to, at the very least, stop hanging around the Kacchan kid. Because of him, you nearly died…twice" Izuku took note of the man's hardened expression before dumbly nodding.
"HE WHAT?!"
"Mom…"
"I don't want to hear it Izu, not now at least." Her tone was stern but throughout all his years as her son, Izuku knew she was seconds away from cracking.
"I-I just wanted to a-apologize. What I did was d-dumb-" Inko pivoted on her heel and grabbed Izuku by the shoulders.
"DUMB?! IZUKU IT WAS MORE THAN DUMB YOU TRIED TO KILL YOURSELF!" Tears flowed freely from her eyes as she stared her son dead in the eyes, the use of his full name not escaping him.
"I know…" The greenette cast his eyes to the pavement below, staring at the colonies of ants in the minuscule cracks rather than meeting his mother's gaze.
Until she spoke again.
"Am…am I a bad mom Izu? Is that why you tried to take your own life?" The aforementioned child shot his head up before wrapping his mother in a hug, his own tears staining the pavement.
"No! Not at all! You've been the best mom ever and I wouldn't trade you for the world" The teen hugged his mom even tighter, barely noticing his lack of a usual stutter.
"Then why Izu? Please tell me" His mother was pleading, desperately clutching her son as though he might try again if she let go.
Try and succeed.
A conflicted look fell upon the boy's face as he urgently searched for a way to avoid the question.
An explosion provided it for him.
"Izu slow down! We need to avoid the fight as much as possible!" The woman's voice fell on deaf ears as her son continued to rush towards the sound of chaos.
"All Might is nearby. Despite what he said I still want to see him fight!" A small smile found its home on his face as he rushed towards the sound of the battle.
Coming across a crowd of bystanders, Izuku managed to push his way to the front allowing him to get an unobstructed view of the villain.
What he saw killed that smile dead.
"K-Kacchan?!"
The ash-blonde teen struggled desperately against what appeared to be a monster made of sewer sludge, letting off indiscriminate explosions in hopes of blasting the villain off of himself.
It wasn't working.
He didn't know if it was the desperate look in his tormentor's eyes, the desperate need to be a hero, or a mix of the two, but Izuku found himself running headfirst toward the villain in hopes of saving his classmate.
The sludge villain took note of the scrawny boy and chuckled mirthfully.
"FREE TARGET PRACTICE?! YOU SHOULDN'T HAVE!" With minor strain, the sludge villain aimed Katsuki's arm toward the approaching boy and fired an explosion. Izuku, catching the blonde's cursed energy flowing toward his palm, dove to the left, narrowly avoiding the potentially lethal blow.
"What the hell?! Is your quirk foresight or some bullshit like that?!" The sludge villain stared down the boy, a mix of shock and annoyance in his tone. Capitalizing on the distraction, Katsuki managed to peel some of the sludge away from his mouth allowing him to speak a single sentence to his former friend.
"YOU AREN'T A HERO!" As soon as the words left his mouth a mass of green sludge found its home back over it.
"Listen to the brat, kid. YOU CAN'T BEAT ME!" A tendril of sludge shot out toward the boy, ready to drive its way through his throat and end his life.

Until a pair of large dogs, one pitch black, one snow white, sunk their teeth into it.
"The hell?!" The villain retracted what was left of the tendril and with a shift of his body, sent a number of explosions at the lithe boy. The two dogs quickly rushed to Izuku and protected his form, shrugging off the explosions as if they were nothing.
The aforementioned boy was currently in disbelief.
"Is this my quirk? But I thought I only had a visionary quirk. Is this an extension of that quirk? Was I right when I said I could manipulate my own cursed energy?" Shaking his thoughts away, Izuku stood to his feet with a massive grin painting his face.
"I'll worry about the specifics later, right now all that matters…IS SAVING MY CLASSMATE!"
With a wave of his hand, the twin dogs made a mad dash at the now-terrified sludge villain.
