Terra had just walked in the class and introduced herself as the other students of class 1-A looked at her, some had looks of excitement, others of curiosity, a few remained stoic, and Bakugo wore his usual scowl.
However, before anyone could say anything Mr. Aizawa's eyes glow red and his hair goes up before he speaks "there will be time to better get to know your new classmate later, however I am not done just yet, Tara please find yourself a seat."
Terra nods, Intimidated by Aizawa's glare like many of her classmates were
"While I understand you all are excited, what's more important is that your fight isn't over yet."
At this many of the students grew concerned looks on their faces, while others were curious by what he meant.
"Our fight?" Bakugo asked with a more stoic expression, as least as stoic as someone like him could get.
"Don't tell me." Izuku said with a worried look.
"Oh man this sounds bad." Kaminari said.
"The U.A. sports festival is about to start." Aizawa said blankly.
"Yes!" Kirishima said excitedly.
It was then that the entire class, apart from Bakugo, Terra, and Todoroki, rose their voice in unison "why would you scare us like that?!"
They then shout in excitement "the sports festival!"
"Hell yeah let's go kick some ass.." Kirishima was cut off by Kaminari "Wait a second."
"Is it really such a good idea to do it so soon after the villains snuck inside and.." Jiro said before stopping herself from continuing, just the thought of what happened that day made her stomach turn.
"They could attack when we are all in the same place." Ojiro said with a worried look.
"Apparently the administration thinks this is a good way to show we are not intimidated and that the school is safer than ever, plus they're beefing up security significantly more compared to past years. This is an opportunity for all students at U.A. it's not something we can cancel because of a few villains."
"Yea, but those few villains managed to beat All Might, not to mention the other teachers." Sato said with a frown as a lot of other students frowned as well, the mood of the classroom quickly turning sour at the mention of the events of the USJ.
meanwhile Izuku was in deep thought pondering the stakes of such a risk.
'As much of an important event the sports festival is I can't exactly say I'm not worried, those villains were very powerful and had no problem getting in or out the school, and not just one villain group but two, though I'm sure whatever security measures the teachers have put in will be effective against any potential threat.' Izuku thought rapidly before Aizawa continued
"Our sports festival is one of the most watched events in the entire world. In the past everyone obsessed over the Olympic games but then quirks started appearing. Now the Olympics have been drastically reduced in terms of scale and viewership, for anyone that actually cares about competition there's only one event that matters. The U.A. sports festival."
"That's right, and top heroes everywhere will be watching, this is where you get scouted." Momo said with a somewhat serious look.
"She's right, after graduating a lot of people join hero agencies as a side kick" Kaminari said with a smile.
"Yeah, but that's as far as some people go, they miss their chance to go big and stay eternal sidekicks, actually that's probably where you're headed, you're kinda dumb." Jiro said facing Kaminari which made him cringe.
"It's true that joining a famous hero agency can garner you greater experience and popularity. That's why the festival matters, if you wanna go pro one day then this event could open a path for you, and with Japan losing its symbol of peace many people have begun to question if heroes can properly protect them, you being out there will not only show people that we are not intimidated by the villains but it will show that the next generation of heroes will be able to step up and protect them one day."
"One chance a year, three chances in a lifetime, no aspiring hero can afford to miss this festival, that means you better not slack off on your training." Aizawa said as many of the class wore a serious determined look.
"Class is dismissed." Aizawa said blankly.
At that the class all turned to look at Terra before a majority of the class got up huddling around her barraging her with various questions which she couldn't answer due to all the questions being asked at once.
It is then that Iida begins to swipe his hand up and down in a robotic manner before he addressed his fellow classmates "everyone please, before asking our new classmate about herself we should first properly introduce ourselves."
It was then that he turned to greet Terra "greetings, I am Tenya Iida, I am class representative of class 1-A, it is nice to meet you" he said as he made his chop motion with his hand.
"Nice to meet you Iida, so you like a martial artist or something? You seem to have a thing for karate chopping the air" Terra said playfully as she chuckled at his hand movements.
"I am Momo Yaoyorozu, I am the Vice representative of class 1-A, it's a pleasure to meet you" she greeted with a smile.
"No, I am not a martial artist" Iida said as he continued the chopping motion.
"Yeah, he just does that a lot, it's a habit of his, I'm Ochako Uraraka, it's nice to meet you, Markov."
"Nice to meet you too but you can just call me Terra."
"Sorry, I'll be sure to get it right next time" Uraraka said somewhat embarrassed that she had referred to her as Markov rather than Terra only for Terra to correct her, she had forgotten that Americans usually called each other by their first name.
"Don't stress about it, trust me people make that mistake all the time, you are fine." Terra stated nonchalantly.
Terra looked around and then spotted Hagakure and spoke with astonishment "Woah, your like, invisible, that's awesome! You can totally get the jump on villains with a quirk like that."
"Thanks, yeah I know right, people say it's not all that, but it definitely has its uses, especially when it comes to stealth" Toru said with a smile that while not visible it was clear she was happy to have received the compliment due to her body language.
"Yeah, a quirk like that would make for great underground hero type stuff ya know." Terra said with a smile.
"So, do you have a suit that turns invisible with you? How does that work? Because if you do that's awesome" Terra said as she held her smile
"No, I'm just naked apart from my boots and gloves, though I would like to have a suit that turns invisible with me. I'm sure I can ask the support course, it may not be easy to make but yet again I don't know how all that stuff works." Hagakure said.
"Oh, well I guess since you are invisible it doesn't really bother you, but the suit thing is still something you should look into, maybe even add a feature that could help you, though I'm not sure what that would look like" Terra added.
Terra then turned her attention to a green haired boy who was looking at her before she approached him.
"Sup man" Terra said casually as she raised her hand in a greeting motion.
"Oh hi, I-I'm Izuku Midoriya, I-It's nice to meet you." Izuku said visibly flustered at the fact he was talking to a girl.
Terra couldn't help but chuckle at his Attempt at a greeting, it reminded her of another green haired boy when they had first met.
"Nice to meet you too Izuku" she said as she giggled. Izuku became even more flustered at the fact she had called him by his first name, it generally made sense since she was American and was used to calling people by their first name. Before Izuku could stop stammering and ask her about her quirk she had already introduced herself to Mina and the two began talking
"Woah so your pink, what is your quirk? Actually, no let me guess, something bubblegum related" Terra said enthusiastically, hoping that she had guessed right.
"No, but actually a bubblegum quirk would be pretty neat, my quirk is Acid" Mina said as she held a smile.
"Oh wow, really? That's such a cool quirk" Terra said.
"Yeah! Actually, speaking of quirk, you never told us your quirk Terra." Mina said with a look of anticipation as the class turned to face Terra, all of them waiting for her response as Terra felt the eyes of everyone in the class on her, even Bakugo who was mostly tuning out the new girl had turned his head slightly out of curiosity.
"Oh, my quirk?" Terra asked before pausing for a brief moment before continuing "My quirk is called geo force, it allows me to manipulate the earth and various minerals and substances, sand, stone, rock, dirt, mud, concrete and so on."
The class was momentarily shocked by her quirk, they knew she had to have had some sort of strong or useful quirk to get into U.A. but to learn that it was a quirk with that much power and potential was even more shocking, depending on how she used it she could become one of if not the strongest in their class.
"Woah! That is such a manly quirk" Kirishima said with excitement.
Izuku had so many questions to ask, he immediately began to mumble about the various things she could do with her quirk, comparing her quirk to people like Cementoss and Pixiebob of the Wild Wild Pussycats.
Terra just chuckled at it finding it amusing.
"Yeah, with a quirk like that you could become a great hero, maybe even top 10, though I don't know if you intend to continue doing hero work here in Japan once you graduate" Momo said.
"I might do both, there are a lot of heroes who do hero work in different countries because they have a dual citizenship, I know it's the case for some Canadian and Mexican pro heroes who do hero work in America occasionally, so I may just operate out of both countries, been loving it here so far."
"Oh yeah, I've been meaning to ask what part of America are you from and what made you decide to come to U.A. I know they have a lot of hero schools in America, pretty much two in every state. How did someone with a powerful quirk like you end up here rather than somewhere like the George Washington Hero Academy in New York? Ribbit." Asui asked with her usual expression that made it hard to tell what she was thinking though Terra did not think it was anything negative.
"Well i grew up pretty poor, my parents would bounce around a lot, I was born in Tucson Arizona, but I bounced around from Phoenix to Albuquerque New Mexico, to Las Vegas, Salt Lake City, Denver Colorado, even Austin Texas for a time."
"Wow so you have been to a lot of places, you must have seen so many pro heroes in action being in All those cities" Izuku said excitedly.
"Yeah, while in Texas I saw Captain Lonestar, among others, unfortunately I have never been fortunate enough to see Captain Celebrity or Star n Stripe in action, they mostly operate in New York, L.A., Chicago etc, not often seen in the places I was, though I hear Captain celebrity will come to Vegas on occasion I never got a chance to see him, but I did see lots of pro heroes, most heroes usually only have a license in one state so traveling states was always cool because of the different pros you would see." Terra said
"Woah you saw Captain Lonestar! That's awesome!" Izuku said his face beaming with excitement.
"Yeah, he was stopping A bank robbery, it was really cool to see, the videos online don't do him justice he looks even cooler in person" Terra said with a smile.
"Oh I know what you're talking about I saw a video of that fight online, it was pretty cool, he really wiped the floor with those villains" Kaminari said.
"Yea it was incredible, but as to your other question, as I said I was pretty poor, me and my parents lived out of an RV, one day I happened to be practicing with my quirk in a deserted field when I was back in New Mexico.." Terra was cut off by Jiro.
"Wait, isn't that illegal quirk usage?" Jiro asked a look of curiosity on her face but before Terra could answer the question Momo answered it for her.
"The US doesn't have strict quirk laws like we have here in Japan."
"Yeah, it's a lot stricter here, was actually kinda surprised by it, but rules are rules I guess" Terra said nonchalantly before continuing.
"But yeah, my parents dropped me off in this field as they went to go get some groceries, the field I was on was next to a freeway and when I was practicing, I didn't go unnoticed."
Everyone became intrigued as they listened to Terra tell the story.
"While I was practicing a guy in a fancy limo pulled over and approached me, for a second I was creeped out but after talking to him for a bit it turned out he was a big shareholder in a lot of big support companies and had a lot of contacts, he said he could get me into the best hero schools with a phone call."
"He introduced himself as Mr. Williams, at first I found it kinda strange, but he said he had an eye for talent and thought that I would make a great hero, We talked for a bit and I showed him some of the stuff I could do with my quirk and he was impressed, he said he had a proposal for me and my family and when my parents returned he introduced himself and offered his proposal to me, my mom, and my dad."
Terra's face began to light up with excitement as she continued telling the story "He told my parents he wanted me to be the American equivalent of the symbol of peace, but because the school year had already started by this point and all the hero courses of schools across the US were full I would have to wait a bit, but he said he would get me in a school through recommendation and that it would only be a matter of time before I got into one"
"Of course this bummed me out, there was still a chance that I may have never been able to join a hero course, but then.." she paused for a moment, somewhat hesitant to say the following words.
"Then those villains attacked All Might and the rest of you, and the news that a student had quit the hero course shortly afterward, and Mr. Williams was quick to submit my application to the principle and beg for me to be let in, and lucky for me I was able to pass the entrance exam and get in, though the idea of me not only going abroad to pursue my passion of becoming a hero, but also the fact the school had just been the subject of that attack scared my parents nearly to death." Terra said as the smile that was on her face had dissipated now replaced by a look of sorrow, the other students also seemed to frown or tense up upon being reminded of what happened.
There was then a tense moment of silence, Terra was getting ready to speak up and apologize for mentioning what was still a sensitive topic amongst her classmates but as she opened her mouth Momo spoke up, breaking the silence "its ok Terra, you have nothing to apologize for or be ashamed of, I'm happy that you have been put in a position where you can fulfill your dream of becoming a hero"
Momo gave Terra a reassuring smile and Terra smiled back at her. "Thanks Momo. I heard what Izuku said before I walked into the class, and while I wasn't there when the attack happened, I am still apart of this class, and I will work just as hard alongside all of you, I have been given the opportunity I have dreamed of since I can remember, and I won't have it ruined by some so called villain school. " She said as her face took on a more serious look and many of the other students shared the same look, all nodding in agreement.
"Good to know we can count on you Terra" Izuku said before smiling.
"Yeah, that's part of being a hero, having others being able to count on you" Terra said with her smile returning.
"Thats so awesome though, like are we going to look over the fact that you have traveled so many different cities and seen so many different heroes, and then you get hit with the golden opportunity to attend U.A. like thats so awesome!" Mina exclaimed.
"Yeah, I guess I am one of the luckiest girls out there" Terra responded before chuckling.
"Tch, it doesn't matter where you came from, your just another extra who is in my way" Bakugo growled with a snarl on his face.
"Yikes, who pissed in his cereal." Terra said looking at Bakugo.
"Don't mind Kacchan, he doesn't mean it" Izuku said.
"Yeah, he's just like that, you get used to it after a bit" Sero added.
"Oh, well I guess I'll leave it be then" Terra responded.
"Tch, stupid foreigner" Bakugo hissed before looking away, seeming to go into deep thought.
"So anyway, are you guys excited for the sports festival? I've watched it a few times on TV, but I would be lying if I said I wasn't nervous at the prospect of actually attending the sports festival, with so many people watching and all." Terra said as she rubbed her shoulder nervously.
"Don't be nervous, I'm sure you'll do fine" Izuku said with a smile.
"Guys, let's do our best in the sports festival!" Uraraka said with a extreme look on her face.
"Uraraka what happened to your face?" Izuku asked somewhat taken aback by the look on her face and from the facial expressions of the other students they seemed pretty surprised by it as well.
"Seriously what's up? Your normally like the most laid-back girl ever" Mina said.
Uraraka then raised a fist into the air "everyone I'm going to do my best!" she shouted to which Iida, Izuku, Terra, Mina, and Asui all cheered.
Uraraka then turned to Sato, Tokoyami, Sero, and Kirishima. "I said I'm gonna do my best!"
All the boys nervously and reluctantly cheered
"You ok, you kinda look like you're losing it" Kirishima said with a worried look
While the interaction between Uraraka and the group of boys continued Izuku was thinking to himself 'now that I think about it there's something I've been meaning to ask her'
All of the students began to head out and too the Lunch room, Terra talked with some of her fellow classmates on the way, getting to know them better as she did
As she's walking she began to talk with Uraraka when Izuku and Iida approached
"Hey Uraraka." Izuku greeted
"What's up?" Uraraka looked at him with a smile as Terra looked at him curious as to what he was about to say.
"Why did you decide to come to U.A.? What made you want to be a pro hero?"
Uraraka became somewhat nervous at the question as she began to answer.
"Oh, well uhh because..." she paused for a moment before continuing. "The money."
Izuku gave somewhat of a surprised look "for the money? You want to become a hero so you can get rich?" Izuku asked a visibly nervous Uraraka who was rubbing the back of her head.
"If we are cutting to the chase then yeah." She said looking away
"I'm sorry if I sound greedy, you guys have such admirable motivations, I hope you don't think less of me now." Uraraka said still embarrassed at what she had just revealed to them.
"Your fine, I mean it's better that you are using your motivation of making money to become a hero rather than a villain, money is a driving force for many villains so to use that motivation to become a hero instead is good and the world would be much better off if other people who seeked out money took the path you did." Terra said with a reassuring smile.
"Terra is absolutely right, besides your goal is to support your wellbeing which is a perfectly admirable ambition to have." Iida said.
"Mhm, it's just surprising." Izuku added.
Uraraka started to nervously run her hands through her hair before speaking again. "Well you see, my family owns a construction company, but we haven't gotten any work lately so we are flat broke, anyway this isn't really something I should tell other people but.."
Both Iida and Izuku put their hands on their chin thinking for a moment before Iida spoke up "construction aye?"
Izuku seemed to have thought of something as he spoke next "if she got licensed I bet she could use her quirk to bring costs down a lot."
"And they could sell all their heavy lifting equipment! She could float everything!" Iida said as a smile formed on his face.
Uraraka quickly spun around in their direction as she pointed at them both "I know right! I've been telling dad that since I was a kid."
She then gets a nervous and sad look on her face "but.." she then thinks back for a moment before looking down and gripping parts of her skirt.
"I'm gonna become a pro, I'll sign with a good agency and make plenty of money, then I'll be able to let my parents have an easy life." Uraraka said with a look of determination on her face replacing her previously nervous expression.
There was a brief moment of silence before Iida raised his hands in the air and began to clap "that's beautiful! so noble! bravo, bravo!"
Izuku looked at her somewhat surprised as he was thinking to himself 'she's not here because of some hero fantasy, she's more grounded than any of us.'
"See, you do this not just because of the money but because you want your family to be financially secure, that's pretty heroic." Terra said with a smile as Uraraka seemed to smile and cheer up a bit.
A familiar laugh echoed from the Hallway as they turned to see where it came from.
"Ah young Midoriya is here!" All Might as he was in his buff form and pointed at Izuku
Terra was shocked to see All Might for the first time with Iida and Uraraka looking shocked as well, given that when they last saw him, he had been reduced to a bloodied and broken skeleton
"Woah All Might, what are you doing here?" Izuku asked with a shocked look
"Lunch, you wanna eat with me?" All Might asked.
"That's so adorable!" Uraraka squealed.
"Woah, it's really him, I've seen him online, but the videos don't do him justice" Terra said still shocked to see All Might.
"Ah, Young Markov, it is nice to finally meet you in person, how have you been enjoying your first day at U.A.?" All Might asked.
"Oh uhh, I love it, I've already begun making friends and I really enjoy it here."
"I see, well I'm glad to hear it young Markov, I look forward to seeing how you progress in your journey to becoming a hero." All Might said
"Thank you All Might, I promise not to disappoint." She said with a smile
"That's excellent..." Before All Might could continue steam began to come from all around his body before he deflated like a balloon into his frail boney true form, which caused him to spit out some blood much to everyone's horror.
"All Might are you ok?!" Izuku asked worriedly to which All Might waved his hand Dismissively
"I will be fine Young Midoriya, unfortunately I can only hold my form for less than a minute now due to my injuries." All Might replied with sorrow present in his voice.
"I'm sorry All Might." Izuku said with a frown.
"You have no need to apologize young Midoriya, now what do you say?" All Might asked raising the pack of lunch he brought with him.
Izuku looks to Iida looking for approval as Iida nods.
"Sure thing." Izuku said as he began to follow All Might
'I wonder what he wants to tell me' Izuku thinks while following All Might
There was a moment of silence with Iida, Terra, and Uraraka before Terra broke the silence by telling them some stories from back when she lived in America while they walked to lunch.
They then reach the lunchroom in which they stand in line to get food as Terra finished with another of her stories
"And that's why you never try to help an injured rattlesnake." Terra finished
"Woah, being bitten like that must've hurt." Uraraka said
"Yes, your intentions were good, but you should have used more caution." Iida added
"Yeah, I definitely should have, but anyway what do you guys think All Might wanted with Izuku?"
"I'm not sure, maybe it has to do with the fact Izuku stayed behind at the hospital to wait for All Might to wake up." Uraraka said thinking back
"Hm, that may have something to do with it." Iida said as he put his hand on his chin before a thought came to him
"Also remember what Asui said on the bus?" Iida asked remembering Asui's words about Izuku's power being similar to All Might's
"What did Asui say on the bus?" Terra asked curiously.
"She basically pointed out the similarities between Midoriya's quirk and All Might's quirk, and since their quirks are so similar maybe All Might has taken a liking to him" Iida responded.
"Wow, if that's true then he's pretty lucky." Terra said with a smile
Their conversation seemed to gain the attention of Shoto Todoroki, the boy who bore a burn mark on the left side of his face over his eye and the surrounding area turned his head slightly to glance at the 3 of them
'All Might and Izuku Midoriya huh.' Todoroki thought as he narrowed his eyes.
In the Lounge Izuku was sitting at a table listening as All Might spoke.
"I can barely hold my form for 60 seconds, it's a miracle that I am even still Alive after that fight with those villains. I have fought many tough foes over my career but never any group that powerful before, let alone kids roughly the same age as you." All Might said as he poured himself some tea
"There's been only one other person who has given me that hard of a time, and while I'm no longer in my prime like I was back then I'm pretty sure those kids would even give him a run for his money" All Might said before chuckling.
"It's still concerning me that they were able to hack into U.A. and hospital records in order to find out about your injury" Izuku said looking down but before All Might could say anything he continued.
"I'm so sorry All Might, if I had just.." Izuku was cut off by All Might comically laughing whilst spitting out blood from his mouth.
"You don't need to apologize for anything, if anything I should be apologizing, I wasn't able to keep you or your other classmates safe or stop those villains from bringing harm to you all, nor was I able to prevent my fellow Coworkers and heroes from being injured, I should be apologizing to everyone" All Might said as he frowned.
"But enough about that I'm here to talk about the sports festival, The problem is you still can't fully control one for all yet, so what's your plan?" All Might said as he pointed at Izuku
Izuku went into deep thought for a moment before he began to speak "honestly I'm not sure, when I was fighting that giant villain in the USJ instead of using my entire hand I used my fingers which knocked him down into the water, though my fingers still broke it was better than when I would lose my entire arm."
"But then that second time around, I tried hitting that was fighting Mr. Aizawa, and while I was, I felt more in control, it's kind of strange but I feel like if my hit landed I would have been fine and my arm wouldn't have broken, though since he was able to dodge my strike and counter with his own I don't know for certain" Izuku said as he looked down.
"Hey that's some kind of progress at least" All Might replied.
"Hey, your tea is getting cold" All Might said.
"Oh sorry" Izuku responded before taking some sips of his tea.
"With my Defeat at the hands of that group of villains, I had to put the title of symbol of peace to bed" All Might said as he stood up and looked out the window looking at the streets below.
"I still can't believe it" Izuku said looking down with a frown as he held his cup of tea.
"And with my defeat being broadcasted for all of Japan to see, it has shown villains that heroes aren't indestructible and can indeed be beaten, the world now also knows of my injury though they still don't know the details, the symbol of peace had been on the decline, and they all know that now, and with me fully out the picture it makes things worse. of course this will embolden villains by a lot, but it also made people's faith in heroes' waiver, if villains can reduce the symbol of peace into a bloody and broken man near death in a crater, can they really trust heroes to properly protect them and keep them safe?"
Izuku's face grew more concerned as he stood up from his chair
"The world needs a new symbol of peace, someone has to step up and keep the people safe" All Might said before turning to Izuku before continuing "I gave you my power for one reason, because you will be the hero who takes my place" All Might said with a serious look on his face and seriousness present in his voice
"Do you still feel the same way you did when we met? Do you still want to be a hero?" All Might asked his expression nor voice changing
Izuku nodded, a look of determination on his face before answering "yes!"
"Excellent, the time has come for you to prove it" All Might said which seemed to slightly surprise Izuku
"This sports festival, it's something that the pros.. No, the entire country will be watching very closely, people are looking for the next symbol of peace, I want you to think of this sports festival as your debut, you are the fledgling symbol of peace, the next All Might, Izuku Midoriya! I want you to properly introduce yourself to the world and say I am here!"
At this Izuku's face was one of shock and at first glance some would've thought it was fear, his eyes wide like dinner plates at what All Might had just said.
"But All Might that's your catchphrase. besides what can I do?" Izuku asked as he looked down with the same expression.
"You know how the sports festival is set up right?" All Might asked as he moved to sit on the couch.
"Well yeah, of course, students are separated by class year and then the support, hero, business, and general studies all fight against eachother in a bunch of preliminary trials. whoever makes it through the initial games face off in the finals. It's basically like a big tournament." Izuku explained.
All Might points at him with both fingers. "that's right! meaning you'll have plenty of opportunities to sell yourself!"
"I guess." Izuku said nervously which caused All Might to comically fall back with the couch he was sitting on falling with him which caused Izuku to wave his hands around frantically in a panic
"I'm sorry! I mean what you're saying is absolutely correct All Might! but honestly, it's kind of hard to get excited about this after everything that just happened at the USJ, plus I have the world's greatest hero teaching me, so the festival probably isn't my only hope of getting scouted by an agency and besides I don't know if O can stand out right now considering I did so horribly on the fitness test and can't control one for all very well."
"Man, nobody is better at spitting out word vomit than you kid." All Might commented as blood spluttered out his mouth comically from each word he said.
"Hey are you ok?" Izuku asked looking down at his mentor with a hint of concern.
All Might looked up at him with blood dripping down his mouth before speaking again.
"Some heroes always aim for the top while others happily settle. the difference between those two mindsets has a big impact on how far you go in the real world."
Izuku just looked down with a nervous and sad look on his face.
"I understand how you feel, and I may even be projecting myself onto you, however I hope you haven't forgotten the emotions you had on the beach during our training." All Might said before getting up
"You should be heading back now; lunch is almost over." All Might reminded
"R-right, thanks a lot All Might."
All Might just looked back toward Midoriya before nodding as Izuku left.
The school day went by relatively normally, Terra went through her classes breezing through some while struggling with others all whilst making bonds with her fellow classmates, even getting the numbers of Uraraka, Iida, Izuku, and the other girls in the class, she would be lying if she said she wasn't jumping with joy over making new friends with people she generally liked, which made her feel all the more guilty at the reason she was doing so.
As the day was nearing its end, she and her other classmates made their way to the door only to open it and find a large number of students from other classes outside their door.
Uraraka had a look of surprise as she spoke first. "Why the heck are you all here?"
"Do you students have some sort of business with our class?" Iida asked.
"Yeah, what's the big deal?" Terra asked as she crossed her arms.
"Isn't it obvious? they're scouting out the competition you idiots, we're the class that survived a real villain attack and they want to see us with their own eyes." Bakugo said as he made his way to the door.
"let's just hope he doesn't explode anybody" Izuku murmured.
"At least now you know what a future pro looks like, now move it extras." Bakugo demanded with a scowl on his face much to the shock and panic of everyone else in the class.
"You can't walk around calling other people extra's just because you don't know who they are!" Iida said doing a hand chop motion towards Bakugo.
"So, this is class 1-A, I heard you guys were impressive, but you just sound like an ass." A purple haired boy said as he walked through the crowd.
"Is everyone in the hero course delusional or just you?" the boy asked much to Bakugo's dismay and class 1-A's shock.
"I was sad to come here and find a bunch of ego maniacs." the boy said as he scratched the back of his head.
"I wanted to be a part of the hero course, but like many others here I was forced to choose a different track, such is life." the boy continued much to Bakugo's annoyance.
"I didn't cut it the first time around, but I have another chance, if any of us do well in the sports festival the teachers can decide to transfer us to the hero course, and they'll have to transfer people out to make room, don't think because some villains beat you all up that we are just going to pity you." the boy stated bluntly which made some of the students of 1-A nervous.
"Not to mention when one of you guys got scared and left instead of giving the spot to one of us, they gave the spot to some foreigner simply because she had some big businessman backing her." Shinso said as he glared at Terra who went from nervous to somewhat upset, she was tempted to say something back against the purple haired boy but decided against drawing attention to herself on her first day.
"Scouting the competition? maybe some of my peers are, but I'm here to let you know if you don't bring your very best, I'll steal your spot right from under you, consider this a declaration of war." the boy declared leaving an even more shocked class 1-A.
"Where did this guy even come from!?" Uraraka, Iida, and Midoriya all thought at once as they looked at the boy nervously.
the boy and Bakugo glared at each other for what felt like minutes before a new voice was heard
"Hey you! I'm from class 1-B next door to you! we saw that run in you had with those villains and we aren't impressed! even those villains couldn't humble you! you're still a bunch of brats who think your better than us!" A boy with silver hair and crust around his eyes shouted which seemed to get under the skin of some of the 1-A students.
some of the people in the crowd gave the students of 1-A looks of sorrow and pity while others glared at them.
"What the fuck is wrong with you people?!" Terra shouted finally having enough of whatever this was.
"They were attacked by real villains! not just ordinary street thugs but a well-organized, well trained, and extremely dangerous group of villains! villains who were able beat All Might for crying out loud! and you want to sit here and have a dick measuring contest! a hero fucking died! and you people are treating this like a kids game! want to prove yourselves that you are great heroes then go train for the fucking festival instead of standing here like a bunch of dumbasses!" Terra shouted in frustration which surprised everyone in her class including Bakugo who was slightly taken aback by the girl's outburst, he didn't think she had it in her. the face of the purple haired boy didn't change in the slightest as he just stared at her as she glared right back at him with a look daring him to say anything.
Bakugo just began to walk through the crowd as the crowd slowly began to disperse along with the purple haired boy and the silver haired boy.
Izuku was surprised by Terra's outburst, but it wasn't the same as Bakugo's, she was taking up for them.
"Woah... that was... THAT WAS SO MANLY!" Kirishima exclaimed.
"Yeah, if she hadn't told them off, I was about to do it myself." Jiro said.
'I know right? like it's one thing to see us as competition but we were attacked by villains... villains who could have killed us!" Toru added.
"a bunch of jackasses." Terra said having calmed down somewhat.
"To confront the whole crowd like that was pretty badass!" Kaminari said.
"Yes, I admit that it was most unbecoming of them to use the USJ incident against us like that." Momo added.
Terra sighed before speaking. "Sorry you guys had to see me like that but that pissed me off, I'm not usually like that."
"Your fine, besides I can't say it was unwarranted." Sero reassured her.
"Yeah, if anything it shows your willing to take up for us even though we just met!" Mina said with a large smile.
Terra smiled back as she felt glad to be appreciated by her fellow classmates.
"Well, I'm gonna head home now, don't want to miss my train, later" Terra said as she waved before walking out the class as one by one the other students began to file out to make their way home as the school day came to a close.
Terra had taken mental note of what she had learned on her first day, one thing of note was the fact All Might basically lost his power as a result of the battle, to be injured is one thing but to basically lose your powers is something she had never heard of. She also would be lying if she didn't find a good number of these people to be idiots, her classmates were fine, even Bakugo despite being a little rough around the edges but those other kids baffled her, how could they turn something so serious into making it sound almost like it should be something to brag about.
Another thing she took note of was the apparent relationship between Izuku and All Might. Was All Might perhaps the father of Izuku? No, if that were the case she would have been told, but there was definitely something there, sure it could have been as Uraraka and Iida had said, maybe it was the fact they both had similar quirks, but he wasn't the only one in that class with a strength quirk, her classmate Sato also had a strength quirk, his just required sugar to take effect at the cost of his own intelligence.
But Terra knew that Izuku and All Might's connection was deeper though she couldn't pinpoint what exactly it was, but she knew there had to be something there.
And then there was the third thing she had taken note off, she was sure that they were already aware of her parents situation as heroes here weren't all that big on secret identities like they had been back home, even though not even the heroes back home couldn't prevent their secret identities from staying secret, at least not a secret from them, but here they really just didn't care, it was quite baffling in her mind, it was such a risky thing to do, especially with the sheer amount of villains this place had.
But the fact that Uraraka's goal was to keep her family financially secure is what caught her attention, they would definitely want to know about this fact to possibly exploit it in the future should the need ever arise which it quite possibly could in the near future.
She sat on the train continuing to think on a multitude of things before she made her stop and got off the train and she proceeded to make her way to the apartment which they had provided to her.
As she walked home, she thought about what she had done in the past, what she was doing currently, and the question of what was to become of her in the future. This wasn't the first time she had to do this and while she tried to push these feelings aside, she had felt just as bad as she did last time, the people there loved her, when she took her recommendation exam the teachers and principle were impressed by her abilities and her creative usage of them.
She had bonded with almost all her classmates pretty much instantly and was already a part of a friend group of sorts and had taken a liking to many of her classmates.
She thought of what they planned to do with her classmates, she knew what their objective was here to an extent but wasn't given full details, would they be taken back to where she had come from? Would they find a means of bribing and controlling all of them through her? Or worse...
She pushed these thoughts aside as she made her way in front of her apartment, taking out the key and opening the door and walking inside before closing it. She turned her lights on and walked to go sit down.
But as she turned, she was greeted with a sight that made her stomach turn, sitting in a chair in the room was probably the last person she wanted to see.
"Welcome home Tara" the voice of a woman said as she sat on the chair, her hands together as she glares at Terra.
"Why are you here? Where is.." before Terra could continue, she was cut off by the figure
"I've been put on babysitting duty, one of my jobs while I'm here, father has more important matters to attend to" the figure said.
Terra stared at her, her eyes narrowing as she observed the figures appearance. She was wearing her usual form-fitting orange and gray costume with armor that covered her shoulders, her torso, and her limbs, with the armor having intricate detailing that resembled dragon scales, she wore a skull insignia on the chest of her costume, and she wore a utility belt which bore the same insignia.
On her back were two holstered swords, she had long white hair and an eyepatch over her left eye.
"Trust me, I don't find this any more thrilling than you do, but you have been given an important mission, father and all the bosses are putting their faith in you and one of my jobs is to make sure you don't screw up, and to gather reports from you if you find something of note. I just hope you don't get as attached with them as you did with.." the woman was cut off by Terra who now wore a scowl on her face
"Don't bring them up, Rose, this isn't that it's different than last time. Plus, I did what I was told didn't I?" Terra growled out becoming frustrated
"You did, but it didn't take much to see you grew to like them, and this will be a much longer operation and with much more people than last time, I just hope you're ready for it." Rose said as she stared at Terra
"Whatever, just don't come in here every day scaring the hell out of me, I'll contact you if I have something to report." Terra said calming down slightly.
"Fair enough, the less I have to worry about you the better, now tell me Terra, what do you have to report on your first day at your new hero school?" Rose asked as her smirk grew.
Note: thank you everyone for all the reviews, I will try and push out chapters in a timelier manner, apologies for the long wait. As for concerns as to if the MHA characters can win, I can't say much but it will certainly be much harder now than it was before, and the MHA characters will definitely be forced to develop much faster than they otherwise would have.
