Chapter 2
Ash Catches a Pokémon! Challenge of the Samurai Boy.
Last time, Ash Ketchum, our hero from Pallet Town, has chosen Pikachu, a Pokémon who was not too thrilled with its new Trainer. Soon, they found themselves fighting a flock of fearsome Spearow. Pikachu saved Ash by leaping up into the air and lets out its amazing Thunder Shock, but the electrifying encounter made Pikachu a little weak, and his fate in Ash's hands. As they got up Ash notices a Rainbow Wing that fell from Ho-Oh and he felt something inside of him is about to reawaken as he was reincarnated from, slowly.
After leaving Route 1, Ash and Pikachu arrive at entrance to Viridian City after a defeating a Flock of Spearow they hear Officer Jenny in the megaphone which caught them by suprise.
Officer Jenny is police officer who lives in every city. She have dark teal hair, wore a purple cap with a black rim, red top, and gold star, a purple collared shirt with red trim, a sky blue chestpiece, and gold shoulder pads, a black purse, a matching belt with a gold buckle, a purple skirt, black shoes, and white gloves.
"Attention, citizens of Viridian City!" The Officer said "Attention, citizens of Viridian City! We have reports about possible Pokémon thieves in our area! Be on the lookout for suspicious looking strangers! Repeat - Be on the lookout for suspicious looking--" she sees Ash and Pikachu entering a city "Speak of the Devil?"
Ash spoke to the Officer "Hello, Excuse me?" Ash said "I'm looking for the Pokémon Center in this City, I gotta get my Pikachu all healed up." Which Pikachu Nodded.
"Oh. You're the fourth person I've seen today from Pallet Town." Officer Jenny Nodiced "And aren't Pokémon usually stay inside their Pokéballs?"
"Well my Pikachu doesn't like going inside his Pokéball." Ash said which Pikachu nodded. "And the Fourth Person? Oh, Gary must've showen up already."
"Pikachu..."
"Show me your identification and you can go" said Jenny
Ash took out his PokeDex "Does my PokeDex count?"
Officer Jenny nodded yes which Ash turns on and the PokeDex says: "I'm Dexter, This PokeDex was received by Ash Ketchum Aiming to be a Pokémon master also this PokeDex Cannot be replaced if Lost or Stolen so use with caution Pallet town's Professor Oak"
Ash was surprised "So this is also an ID." Ash said "I Didn't know that. I guess I was too caught up in setting off on my journey." Pikachu was surprised too with a Sweatdrop on his head
"Now's the time to hurry to the Pokémon Center like you wanted right?" Jenny asked and winked
Ash, Pikachu got on Jenny's side car motorcycle Jenny starts her motorcycle in the garage "Sit back, hold on, and don't yell." Officer Jenny said and they rides out of garage at full speed
"Oh my god!" Ash cried which Pikachu yelled as well
As they sped through Ash was wondering when Officer Jenny said "Team Rocket" and he spoke
"Officer Jenny," Ash asked "Who are this Team Rocket?"
"Team Rocket are group of Bad guys who steals other people's Pokémon" answered Jenny "Especially rare and Unusual Pokémon."
Just then they see the Pokémon Center which is really huge while hurtling down the road at top speed.
"There it is" Jenny said "This is tricky. Just hold on. Here we go!"
"That's the Pokémon Center?" Ash said "It's Gigantic" Pikachu was Also surprised
"Cha.."
The motorcycle clears the staircase at the front entrance, and Jenny slides it through to the inside as the doors open. The motorcycle stops at the front desk, and Jenny engages its parking brake catching Ash, Pikachu and Nurse Joy by suprise
"We have a driveway, you know." Nurse Joy prereminded
"Ash needs to have his Pikachu healed up." Officer Jenny said
Nurse Joy is the Pokémon Center's nurse who has brink pink hair and wears a Mexican-pink colored dress with a white nurse apron, and flat Mary Jane shoes.
Nurse Joy took a look at Ash's Pikachu and see it needs healing and she spoke "he doesn't look too bad," she said "Not to worry we'll do all we can" a Chansey run through a door at the far end of the lobby "Chansey Rush this Pokemon to the healing station unit." Pikachu jumped into the medical stretcher and sat down
"Pikachu I'm real proud of you buddy." Ash said "You'll get healed up in no time."
The Chansey took Pikachu to the healing station "It will take a few minutes to heal" Joy said "Mr. Ash Ketchum, was it?"
"Yeah."
"I would need you to wait in the waiting room." Joy said "and Your the 2nd person I seen from Pallet Town I've seen."
Ash would know that Gary has been here too. He thought "Damn, Gary was here too."
"However the The trainer's Bulbasaur wasn't badly hurt." Joy said
"I'll leave the rest to you,I know you'll give the Pokemon excellent care." Said Officer Jenny "I'll return to Guarding the city."
"I always appreciate you're efforts" Joy said
Offer Jenny nodices her motorcycle parked at the front of the desk "Whoops. Not only did I leave my post empty but I left my motorcycle parked at the front of the desk." Jenny said
"Next time use the driveway." Said Joy "Ash we'll have your Pikachu healed up in no time.
Offer Jenny giggly goes back to her Motorcycle and she to it out of the building and she drove back to her post. And Ash was sitting in the waiting room for 5 Minutes until he heard the Pokémon healing complete sound and Pikachu was all healed and ready to go
"Your Pikachu is all healed up" Nurse Joy said "Your heading to Viridian Forest right?"
"Yeah." Ash Answered as Pikachu jumped into Ash's shoulder happy to see him suddenly remembered he should call home before he goes so he and Pikachu head to the phone to make the call. "I'll call home before we head to Viridian Forest, Pikachu"
Back at the Ketchum residence. The phone starts ringing and the Phone's big screen stars ringing: "Ring Ring Ring, Phone call Phone call" Delia Awnsers it and when Ash is on the screen she is more than happy to seen him more than ever
"Hi, honey!" Delia Smiled brightly "Is everything okay? Where are you, Ash?"
"I'm at a Pokémon Center in Viridian City." Ash Ansered Pikachu brightly nodded
"You are already in Viridian City?" Delia Said happily. "t took your father four days to get there when he started Pokemon training. Oh He'll be so proud you're apple of his eye."
"You know me Mom." Said Ash with determination
"Aww You're growing up right before my eyes." She said while tearing up
A bit and "spreading your wings and soaring like a sparrow."
"Yep, Mom I'm being as brave as a Spearow." Ash said which Pikachu have a Sweatdrop
Delia then giggles and said "Where are you and Pikachu heading off too?"
"To Viridian Forest" Ash answerd "and I remembered to call you Before I go."
"Aww! You remembered, sweetie!" Delia brightend "it's still daytime so you should be at Peter City by Sunset. And are you changing your underwear every day?"
"Yes." Said Ash
"Ok, I'll let you go. Call me when you get there. Ash I love you." Delia said
"I love you too Mom." Ash said and hangs up "Ok, Pikachu let's head to Viridian Forest."
The two set off out of Viridian city and into Route 2 and into the entrance to Viridian Forest. suddenly a girl with purple reddish hair and a boy with blue hair who are wearing Team Rocket uniforms disguised as detectives took the wanted poster while Nurse Joy isn't looking they head out of the Pokémon Center the boy looks at the poster and felt embarrassed
"These are our wanted poster." Said the girl
"Such a Embarrassing Photo" said the Boy "you can't tell enough of my face. It won't be forgiven."
"I guess the Police from the countryside really don't understand beauty" said the girl "It shall not be forgiven."
"We'll show the power to these pipsqueaks of The Pewter City." Said the Boy
"Showing our power would be nice." Said a talking Meowth wearing a detective outfit "But our target is Rare and Unusual Pokémon, Don't forget that."
"There's not way..." said the Girl
"...we'd forget" said the boy
"Coins before Cats," said Meowth "Pokémon are coins too."
"Let's do this!" "Said the three
Meanwhile while walking through a Viridian Forest Ash and Pikachu saw a Pokémon that resembles a green caterpillar with a yellow underside and teardrop-shaped tail. There are yellow ring-shaped markings down the sides of its segmented body, which resemble its eyes and are meant to scare off predators. Its most notable characteristic is the bright red antenna (osmeterium) on its head, which releases a stench to repel predators. Despite these features and its camouflage in green foliage, and Pikachu is ready to battle it which Caterpie gets ready as well and uses stringshot on Pikachu but he dodged it.
"Pikachu, Thundershock!" Ash commanded which Pikachu uses Thundershock on Caterpie which it weakens it a bit and Ash gets a PokeBall out and throws it at the Caterpie "Go PokeBall!" Which it causes Caterpie to go in after 3 rolls the PokeBall clicks meaning Caterpie as caught Ash was thrilled and Him and Pikachu high-fived.
"Pikachu, We've got Caterpie!" Ash shouted brightly which Pikachu cheered "Let's see it in action, what do you say, Buddy?"
Pikachu nodded yes
Ash lets Caterpie out which is excited to see Ash and Pikachu which Pikachu sees that Caterpie wants to become Butterfree and a Conversation between the two, Ash nodices Caterpie's Dream and he too wants him to become a Butterfree and suddenly, they saw a Pidgeotto a a raptor-like avian Pokémon. It is covered with brown feathers, has a cream-colored face, underside, and flight feathers. It has a crest of pinkish-red feathers on its head and black, angular markings behind its black eyes. The plumage of its tail has alternating red and yellow feathers with ragged tips. Pidgeotto's beak and legs are pink. Two of its toes point forward, while one points backward. Additionally, it has powerful, sharp talons that it uses to grasp prey.
And it flew by and on the tall grass and Ash analyzed it with his PokeDex that says: "Pigeotto, Pidgey's evolved form, it swoops down to grab small Animals as prey using it's sharp claws as wepon, It's complletely different from the gentle-natured Pidgey. Beware of its aggressive personality." And Pigeotto then starts to stare at Pikachu and Caterpie Ash recalls Caterpie.
"Pikachu, let's get it!" Ash Commanded which Pikachu entered in battle mode against Pigeotto because flying types are weak against Electric types Pigeotto charges at Pikachu with quick attack which he dodges it just in time "Pikachu, don't let it get away!" Ash said "Use Thundershock, Quick!" Pikachu uses Thundershock at Pigeotto getting it weak which Ash throws a Pokéball at it "PokeBall, go!" Which Pigeotto went in and after 3 rolls Pigeotto was caught.
"Yes, we caught Pigeotto!" Ash cheered

After Ash and Pikachu went even further into the forest Ash was proud to caught 2 new Pokémon and begins to learn type advantages by letting Pikachu battle Pigeotto and not Caterpie. Suddenly Pikachu spotted a Weedle a a larval Pokémon with a segmented body ranging in color from yellow to reddish-brown. Each segment of its body is a sphere. It has a bulbous red nose, two small, black eyes on its face and two spherical feet on each body segment. The combination of red and yellow in its color scheme creates a bright warning to predators that it is poisonous. Weedle has a conical, two-inch (five centimeter) venomous stinger on its head and a barbed one on its tail. Ash analyzed it with his PokeDex: "Weedle: the stinger on this Pokèmon's head guarantees that any attacker will get the point right where it hurts."
"A stinger huh?" Said Ash
The weedle sees Ash and Pikachu and it stared them down wanting a fight. Ash sends Pigeotto to get a type advantage. "Let's go Pigeotto, I choose you!" Weedle attacked with poison sting which Pigeotto dodged Just in time and Pigeotto countered it will gust with Weedle unable to get up and Ash throws a Pokeball at it "PokeBall, go!" The Weedle went inside the PokeBall and after 3 rolls the Weedle was caught. And Ash recalls Pigeotto Ash wants to catch em all. It will be another step to become a Pokémon master. Pikachu cheered and after catching other Pokémon that he never saw before using Pikachu, Pigeotto,Caterpie and Weedle Ash gave them each a potion to heal them
"Here you go guys." Said Ash "You guys did an amazing job." Pikachu happily jumped in his arms and hugged him and after traveling further they saw a youngster who wants to battle. And Ash uses his Pikachu since he is his best Pokémon he had and the Youngster sends out Nidoran male a Pokémon he already caught Nidoran attacked with quick attack which Pikachu attacked with newly learned Iron tail knocking Nidoran out the Youngster was amazed.
After battling a few more trainers Ash nodices His Caterpie starts begins to use String Shot continuously. Caterpie then evolves into Metapod, a Pokémon that resembles a green chrysalis. Its body is crescent-shaped with several segments making up the lower point. The front of Metapod's shell resembles a face with heavy-lidded eyes and a sharply pointed nose. The back of its shell consists of several geometrically shaped portions and projections. Ash was amazed at Caterpie evolved and he analyzed it with his PokeDex: "Metapod, Caterpie's next stage. It has encased its body in a hard shell. This specimen reached this stage faster than any previously discovered Pokémon of this variety."
"Hey, maybe that means it cloud keep on changing and go on to the next stage right away." Ash said brightly "Nice to meet you Metapod." Pikachu tires to say hi but Metapod doesn't want to talk and then a a man in a suit of armor who pulls his sword out and points at Ash
"Holy Crap!" Said Ash
"Welcome, young man," said the kid "might you be the Pokémon trainer who came from Pallet Town?"
"Yes, I am." Said Ash
"I am a Samurai." Introduced the Samurai "I train the Pokémon trainers in this forest. Have a Pokémon Mach with me."
"Well, Ok." Ash said "You picked the right guy to battle.
"Before We do you must know I have battled with 3 other trainers from Pallet Town." The Samurai said "3 of them raised their Pokémon so well it was obvious I would've fallen to all 3 of them that's why I decided in my heart that this time I must win against a trainer from Pallet Town."
The Samurai sends out Pinsir "Pinsir, battle mode!"
A Pokémon Materializes that is a a bipedal, insectoid Pokémon with a wide, dull-brown body divided into segments by thin lines. On top of its head is a large pair of gray, spiky pincers on top of its head. In its mouth are many long, flat teeth arranged horizontally and it has triangular eyes. Its legs are short and thick, while its arms are long and thin. It has three claws on each hand and foot; two of its toes face forward and one backward.
Ash took out his PokéDex, opened it up and analyzed it with it's radar and info came up that says: "Pinsir, it possesses two long, powerful powerful horns, with a snip, it won't release it's foe until it's torn to pieces"
Ash sends out his Pigeotto "Pigeotto, I choose you! It's a formidable opponent, Pigeotto watch out for those horns."
"Pigeotto, Sand attack!" Ash commanded and Pigeotto uses sand attack
"That's child's play, Pinsir use Vise Grip!" Pinsir uses Vise grip but it barely did anything since Pigeotto is a flying type "Crap! It barely did anything! I'm screwed!"
"Pigeotto use gust!" Ash commanded and Pigeotto uses Gust which easily knocked out Pinsir as Samurai recalls it
"Pinsir, return!" Samurai recalls it
Ash recalls Pigeotto as well "Pigeotto Return!"
"Raticate, assemble!" And Raticate was sent into battle
Then Raticate materializes, it's a a large, rodent-like Pokémon. Although it is often depicted on its hind legs, it is a quadruped. It is primarily tawny-colored with a cream underside. It has narrow black eyes, ears with ragged edges and dark insides, and large incisors that grow constantly. There are three whiskers on each side of its face, which it uses to maintain balance. It has short arms with three-fingered hands and webbed feet with three toes. The webbing on its feet allows it to swim. Its tail is long and scaly.
"Metapod, I choose you!" Ash sends out Metapod
"A bug vs a Raticate, I see" Samurai says "It doesn't stand a chance." And Samurai commands it to use tackle "Raticate, tackle it!" Raticate uses Tackle
"Metapod, Use tackle!" Ash commanded and Medapod uses Tackle which was stronger than Raticate.
"Damn!" Samurai cursed "he's strong. Raticate use leer!" And Raticate uses leer.
"Metapod! Use tackle once more!" Ash commanded and Medapod uses tackle knocking out Raticate.
"Raticate, return!" The Samurai recalled
The battle was over Ash had won suddenly Medapod started glowing and Pikachu, Ash and Samurai notices. "Metapod is evolving!" Ash said
Metapod evolved into Butterfree, a Pokémon which resembles a vaguely anthropomorphic butterfly with a purple body. Unlike true insects, it only has two body segments and four light blue legs. The upper pair of legs resemble small, three-fingered hands, while the lower pair resembles long, digit-less feet. Butterfree has two black antennae, a light blue snout with two fangs underneath, and large, red compound eyes. The red compound eyes at a closer look are reveled to be myriad of tiny eyes. Its two pairs of wings are white with black venation. Ash analyzed with his PokeDex: "Butterfree evolves from Medapod after one week. It possesses wings that allow it to fly even on a rainy day"
Ash and Pikachu head to the exit of Viridian Forest where Samurai congratulates Ash "You did well young trainer," Samurai said "you have proven me that you are the fourth best trainer who knows how to handle Pokémon with perfect care. This path will lead you to Pewter City. This is where we part ways."
"Thank you, Samurai." Ash said "One day we can battle each other once again" Pikachu nods
"So will I." Said the Samurai
And so having safely traveled through Viridian Forest Ash and Pikachu take the road to Pewter City and having to caught some new Pokémon along the way and getting a Butterfree the it was beginning to get close to sunset, Delia Ketchum was right he'll be able to reach Pewter City by the time it gets close to Sunset.
Meanwhile in a Hotel in Pewter City Ami, Makoto, Minako, Rei and Usagi were trying to figure out what type of Pokémon caused the bright yellow beam
"Ok, Girls I think we need to figure out what type of Pokémon that beam came from." Said Ami
"As it the one sent by the Black moon clan?!" Feared Usagi.
"No way Usagi!" Said Rei "you think bad guys coming back from the dead WAAY too much"
"Rei is right" said Luna the talking black Cat with a moon spot on her forehead.
"I can't wait to meet the Pokémon's trainer he must be so Handsome some and Cute." Daydreamed Makoto. "He'll remind me of the guy who broke my heart."
"And I'm guessing that he's very Cute as well." Say dreamed Minako.
"Well who ever he is, he might be arriving in Pewter City by sunset." Said Ami
And Luna and Artemis a white Cat with a moon shaped spot on his forehead wondered who could it be? Could Ash and Pikachu be the ones they are looking for? Find out as the journey continues.
