Chapter 20
Erika and Gloom! Pokémon Sent-Sation.
After surpassing the Rock Tunnel and Routes 10, 8 and 7 along with catching a Shiny Primeape. Ash and his friends finally arrive in Celadon City, the great metropolis renowned both for its tall buildings, and it's good scents. The gang looked around at the scenery as they looked for the Pokémon Center that's nearby and a hotel for 4 nights.
"Wow, this place is so huge!" Chibiusa Awed "it's just as big as Tokyo, Juuban!"
"That's right, Chibiusa." Ami said while getting her Kanto and Johto Regions guidebook "Celadon City is well known for it's skyscrapers and it's scents. And plus there's a Celadon Mall, a Arcade, a Gym somewhere in this city. But for now, let's head to the Pokémon Center, so we can get our..."
Before Ami could finish her sentence Pikachu smells something it can be perfume.
"Pika!"
Ash, Naru, Makoto, Rei and Minako then catches the scent and Ami, Usagi and Chibiusa couldn't help but smell something.
"Something smells heavenly!" Rei said
"Yep, it's perfume!" Ash cried with joy "Good eye, Pikachu!"
"You like perfume?" Minako wondered
"Yeah, Mako's perfume smells so wonderful, like i said before we reached this City." Ash reminded
This comment made Makoto smile and her cheeks turn pink.
"T-Thank you, Ashy." Makoto thanked "I bet you would smell amazing with rose perfume like me."
"To be honest girls, I like Rose perfume because it's amazing." Ash said
Ami, Usagi and Chibiusa as well as Raichu looked dumbfoundingly at the rest of the group and then Ami tried to get them back to reality.
"Ok, everyone, I know we want to got to the perfume store, but we should get to the Pokémon Center before we do anything for else." reminded Ami.
"Yeah, let's go." Usagi said
"Uh, Usagi, Ami, Raichu, Luna, Artemis." Chibiusa said "they're already waking to the shop."
"Huh?!" Luna said
"Damn, guys, there's no time for this!" Artemis cried in frustration.
"Raichu!"
Ami, Usagi, Chibiusa, Luna, Artemis and Raichu all followed the gang who was heading to the perfume store they passed, as they see Ash and Makoto went in first because they want to try free samples. Ami, Usagi and Chibiusa walked to Rei, Minako and Naru who was looking jealous at Ash, Makoto and Pikachu for being the first to try some samples, and the Female employees flirting with Ash.
"Rei, why are you all standing there?" Usagi asked "aren't you all going inside too?"
Rei glared at them "Look at those two, getting to go in first." She growled "and especially the employees flirting with Ashy!"
"Can't any other girl stay away from Ash?" Naru asked crossly
"Yeah, who do they think they are, trying to steal him away from us?!" Minako glared
Inside the store, Ash and Makoto try on some samples and Pikachu sniffs every perfume in the store to see which one should be the best Rose perfume for Ash.
"Wow, I never smelled such wonderful sent." Ash smelled and sighed happily "I'm in heaven."
"Yeah, tell me about it." Makoto smiled "I can see our rosey future, us in a wonderful flower garden."
"Chaa..."
"So you two finding everyone ok?" Female employee 1 asked as she sprayed the Rose perfume.
"Especially you." Another one said while snuggling on Ash. "What's your favorite type of perfume?"
Ash was flustered and shy "U-U-Uh, me, Mako and Pikachu are finding things really good." He stuttered "I love any Rose type."
Makoto was confused and jealous she walked over to Ash and the 3 female employees and spoke a little sternly while trying not to lash out.
"We're finding things good, but can you three give Ashy a little bit of space?" Makoto asked trying to keep her cool.
"We're sorry," female employee 3 apologized "It's just that we haven't seen a guy from Pallet this handsome before, the last one insulated perfume before leaving the city."
Outside, the others were shocked and a bit annoyed and jealous that Ash is being flirted by three female perfume store employees. Ami shook her head in disgust as she wanted to make sure Ash is all ready for the next gym battle. Rei was extremely angry that she punched a pole so hard that it fall down to the street but no one was harmed, the other girls and Raichu and the moon cats see this and was horrified and shocked of what Rei did, as Rei has a fake smile.
"R-R-Rei, y-you're angry." Usagi stuttered
"A-A-And you punched a pole so hard!" Ami shivered "that it fell!"
Rei tried her best to keep her cool "It's ok, girls. I'm not angry at all." She smiled while shaking her fist
"You're not mad about Ash, Pikachu and Mako getting free samples before us?" Minako asked without getting Rei even angrier but it was too late "and how those girls are flirting with Ash?!"
"I said I wasn't angry!" Rei snarled now fed up.
"Yep, she's pretty pissed alright." Naru murmured
Rei angrily marched inside the store with Ami, Usagi, Chibiusa, Raichu, Naru, Minako and the moon cats following her and she looked at Ash, Makoto and Pikachu having the sweet time.
"Wow, this Rose perfume smells amazing." Ash complemented
"I know, I heard that perfume helps people relax, and gives them lovely energy." Makoto said calming down a little.
"You see, we'll make it cheaper for both of you, and the handsome young man's Pikachu." Female Employee 1 offered. "Since you both love roses and We're having a fragrance sale."
"Pikachu."
"Whatever it costs, we'll take it." Makoto accepted "as long as you girls don't snuggle on Ash.."
"Thank you three, I'll buy one for Mako and one for.." Ash said
But before Ash could pay for the Rose perfume bottles for him and Makoto, Rei angrily walks in and took Ash's hand and snapped.
"Come on, Ash!" Rei shouted with jealousy "We're going to the Pokémon Center, get a hotel room, and get you trained up for this city's gym! and you three ladies can back off!"
The three employees are angry that Rei is trying to drag Ash, Makoto and Pikachu out of the store and for getting Jealous.
"Woah, Woah, settle down Rei, I'm just as jealous as you are but not in public." Makoto smoothed
"Hey, let the cutie relax!" Female employee 1 shot back
"He wanted to try on Rose perfume!" Said another employee
"Plus he's really cute! So don't go and get jealous." Said another and yanked Ash back
Rei was now appalled and furious and yanked Ash back to her and Minako, Naru and Usagi joined in, meanwhile Ami and Chibiusa were in the background watching the group fighting over Ash and not wanting to get involved. Pikachu not wanting to get involved in the cat fight ran to Ami and jumped into her arms.
"Go find your own guy!" Minako glared pulling Ash's arm "Ash is been traveling with us the longest!"
"He wanted to get some perfume for the tall busty one!" Shouted Employee 1 pulling Ash's arm
"Let him go!" Makoto snapped now angry "I understand that he loves roses like me and want to get me perfume, but he and us has stuff to do!"
"What is your girls' problem?" Said another employee coldly. "We know that you all love the smell of perfume, so you let him go!"
"You're stretching his arms!" Naru shouted crossly "they're not made of rubber, you know!"
"Hey, shut up!" Snapped employee 3
"Yeah, shut up!" Shouted the next 2 employees
"You shush!" Usagi roared
The Blunette and Pink bunny looked dumbfoundingly at the two groups.
"This really looks familiar, Rei and Usagi are like this all the time." Murmured Chibiusa.
"Chaa..."
Just before Ami was about to break the fight up, a girl who is the manager walked in.
"Unhand that young man at once!" Shouted the girl.
The manager who shouted was a slender young woman with pale skin and short black hair with cut bangs and wears a lovely, beautiful elegant kimono the employees recognized her and let go of Ash causing Makoto to catch him, the Employees then bowed down to her like she is the queen. Ash's cheeks began to flush pink and he starts to fall in love with the girl.
"I-It's Erika!" The employee squeaked
"E-Erika..." Ash murmured while holding his cheeks
"Pikaa.."
Minako walked over and looked at Ash who is blushing. And instead of getting Jealous, she smiled at Ash ready to make fun of him but kept quiet.
"Young man, I'm really sorry about my employees' rudeness, it's just that every time they see an handsome man, they get all snuggly." Erika apologized
"I-It's Ok, Erika." Ash squeaked
Makoto, Rei, Naru and Usagi couldn't help but a little bit jealous and not as jealous as they were when the 3 female employees started flirting with him, Ami approached Ash and spoke.
"Ma'am it's really pleased to meet you." Ami said "You see, we're looking for a Gym so Ash can win his next gym battle."
"Oh, you see, I am the gym leader." Erika said
Everyone was shocked including Ash to hear those words.
"Gym leader?!" Ash and the girls cried
"Pika!"
"Rai!"
"Yes, to be honest, I would love to have a handsome and kindhearted prince who would do anything for his true love." Erika said daydreaming "and sooner or later I'll find him."
Ash then hears about this and has a vision of the Silver Millennium and in the ballroom Princess Mercury was about to offer Prince Sotashi a dance and he accepted it. when he snapped out of it he was looking at Erika who was looking at Ash with her sad eyes and Ami as well to see if he's ok, and while Makoto is holding onto Ash in her arms.
"Young man, a-are you ok?" Erika asked
Ash then shook his head furiously and placed his hand on his forehead like he is in pain and looked at Erika anyway. "Yes Erika, I just had a vision that's all."
"Ash, listen, I think those visions you keep having is going to get you more distracted." Ami said "I think we should get you some fresh air."
"O-Oh, yeah." Ash stuttered "But first let me pay for the perfume that I want to buy me and Mako."
"It is a pleasure to meet you, Ash" Erika bowed
"Pikachu.."
Then Ash payed for the two perfume bottles for him and Makoto as they exited the store saying their farewell to Erika as the female employees apologized to Ash.
The gang then heads to the Pokémon Center to get their Pokémon healed up after the girls got theirs healed up, Ash gets his Pokémon healed up. And they all get to the Phone and called Delia and she appears on screen.
"Hi, Sweetie!" Delia greeted "Hi, Girls, Hi Pikachu and Raichu."
"Hi, Mom." Ash said
"Hi, Mrs. Ketchum!" The girls greeted
"Pika!"
"Rai!"
"Guess what happened when we arrived, Mrs. Ketchum." Minako said "Ash revealed that he loves Roses just as Mako loves them and he bought perfume for her."
"Aww!" Delia awed "Honey, you're very sweet! And it's really nice to call you most of the time when you and the girls arrive at a City."
"Thank you mom." Ash said "I wanted to gifted Mako."
"Yeah, we don't want you to worry, Mrs. Ketchum." Ami said "You see, he's been looking after us and we want to do something really nice for him after his 4th gym match is over."
After a few minutes of The phone call with Delia and Ash promising to call her when they get to another city and to look after the girls no matter what, he called back Mankey and transferred Muk to Professor Oak's and they checked into a hotel for 4 nights to have 3 rooms per 3 people and Chibiusa stays with Minako and the hotel room numbers are 241, 242 and 243.
After they get checked into their hotel rooms the gang heads to the hill in the entrance to Celadon City in Route 7 Ash and Makoto head to the hill for training while he sends out Shiny Charmander and Pidgeotto while Pikachu, Raichu, Ami, Minako (who is getting ready to make fun of Ash for being in love with Erika), Rei, Naru, Chibiusa and Usagi are watching in the background.
"Ash, I read that Erika the Gym leader uses Grass Type Pokémon, so I think Charmander and Pidgeotto are the best option to take on Erika for type advantage." Ami said giving Ash advice
"Ok, Ash don't get too distracted by Erika." Rei said
"Ready, Ash?" Makoto asked
"Ready." Ash answered
Makoto's gloom then fires a bunch of vines at Charmander.
"Charmander use flamethrower!" Ash commanded
Then Shiny Charmander used flamethrower on the vines setting them a fire and burned to the ground. Minako in the background couldn't hold in the teasing any longer.
"Ash is in love with Erika!" Minako singed "Ash and Erika sitting in the tree, K-I-S-S-I-N-G!"
That made Ash fall to the ground and his head leaned on some dirt and Pikachu glared at the Blonde and Ash got up and looked at Minako.
"Minako, stop distracting me and let me train with Mako!" Ash snapped
"Oh yeah? it's not my fault that you blushed at Erika at the perfume store." Minako teased and not caring.
"Pikachu!!"
Pikachu's cheeks light up and electrocuted Minako for making fun of Ash as she screams in pain and when Pikachu is done she fell on her back while Minako is dizzy.
"I was just...Joking." Minako said
Then Makoto's Gloom fires another bunch of vines at Pidgeotto and he is ready to attack
"Ok, Pidgeotto, use Wing Attack!" Ash commanded
Pidgeotto flew to the air and used A strong Wing attack on the vines and and destroying the vines without Minako distracting him again.
"Yeah, you got it, man!" Makoto cheered
"Mako, I want to say this, you make a really good coach." Ash said
Makoto's cheeks then flushed pink and she smiled and threw her arms around the young man for a boobhug as his face are on her chest.
"Thank you, Ashy!" Makoto thanked happily "So Wanna go again?"
"Ok, Mako and we are going to do this with honor!" Ash said with confidence
After the two trained for the Gym battle for a few hours, Ash's Pidgeotto learned Air Slash and Ash's Shiny Charmander then learned Fire Spin Ash and Makoto cheered for them, and the gang all head to the Pokémon Center cafe to celebrate.
"Wow, Ash we sure had a great training session." Makoto said while sitting by him and Rei "You're Charmander learned fire spin and your Pidgeotto learned Air Slash and your Charmander is so close to evolving."
"Yeah, you two did train your asses off!" Rei said "And I wasn't jealous of you being in love with Erika the gym leader."
Ash is now being flustered what Rei is now making fun of him for being In love with Erika since every girl in Celadon is in love with him even the girls who he's been traveling with are starting to feel the same way a little too.
"R-Rei, quit it!" Ash hesitated "My Cheeks have a mind of their own."
"Now, Now, Rei please don't tease Ash, he's had a long training day." Ami smoothed "We should wait till dinner we ordered to come."
"Yeah, He's just blushing that's all." Usagi sighed "I think Rei was kinda taking notes from Minako, and Pikachu ended up giving her a good lesson."
"Mabye, I should have a chance against Erika." Naru said
"I'm sure you will give her your all, Naru." Ash said then turned to Makoto
"Hey Ashy, thank you for getting us each one bottle of Rose perfume, it'll look great on both of us." Makoto thanked while holding a perfume bottle "Mabye when we go to bed I'll spray you some and I'll spry me some as well."
"Your welcome, Mako." Ash said
"Hey Ash, what do you want to do to celebrate your victory when you win your 4th gym badge?" Rei asked
"To be honest I don't know, I mean I'm free." Ash responded
"Thank about it, we can do a lot while we're in Celadon City." Ami suggested "Like we can go to the Mall, the Museum, the Arcade and the Karaoke bar."
While they're chatting their dinner arrives and the gang enjoyed their dinner and Ash pays for them since he has more than enough to pay, Minako was thinking on what to do with Ash when he wins against Erika and she'll have Ami come along with him as the gang arrives at the hotel.
Meanwhile at night in the Celadon City Gym, Team Rocket heads to the back window with a ladder while no one was there they plan to steal the Legendary Perfume without getting caught, they have been glad they are out of the Rock Tunnel.
"Now's our chance, guys!" Meowth said quietly "Everyone's asleep, and the twerps are at nowhere in sight."
"Damn it. It sure took us a hell of a long time to get out of that Rock Tunnel. All those Mankey and Primeape wouldn't stop tossing us in the air." James complained
"That was a disaster. but eather way, if we can steal he legendary perfume hidden inside this gym. Men from all over the world will fall for me." Jessie said while daydreaming
"If we sell it, we'll undoubtedly turn over a huge profit." James added while daydreaming in a bunch of Money "We'd be able to repay the imperial debt at once."
"Grub for the cat!" Meowth smiled while daydreaming with a bunch of Cat Food "A nine lifetime's supply of cat grub!"
"Let's do it." They said quietly
The trio went inside the Back of the Gym by the window unnoticed they searched around to find the Legendary Perfume they searched the lab but to no avail.
And suddenly Jessie opens the cabinet and sleep powder went out and Team Rocket inhaled the powder and they began to feel woozy and sleepy and they collapsed and they fell asleep. A Gloom came by and inhaled it and they put Team Rocket in a Big cabinet so they can sleep.
The next day, Ash, Ami, Chibiusa, Naru, Makoto, Minako, Rei Usagi, the moon cats and Pikachu and Raichu all arrive at the Celadon City gym and they went in and they are amazed at the scenery.
"Wow, this is the Celadon Gym." Chibiusa awed
"It looks like a giant greenhouse." Usagi said
"I'm in flower heaven." Makoto daydreamed
"I know!" Ash cried happily
Rei had an idea. "Hey Girls, I have an idea to surprise Ash come one let's go to a changing rooms and change into our kimonos just like we had in the summer festival."
"Great idea, Rei!" Usagi said
"Ash, we want you and Pikachu to wait here, we got a surprise for you." Ami giggled
The girls went into the changing room and after a while they all came out wearing kimonos that they wore at the Pokémon Summer Festival and Ash and Pikachu were amazed at how they looked.
"Y-Y-You girls look so beautiful." Ash stuttered
"Pikaaa.."
"Awe, Thank you Ashy." Ami blushed "we wanted to do this for your gym battle."
And after Ash gets changed into his kimono he and the gang head in the battlefield where Erika was telling a story on her and Gloom to the other girls and some boys who love flowers and Ash was shocked and flustered to see Erika in the background, but he shook it off.
"Let's go in and join them for the story." Naru suggested
"Ok Ash, Remember the advice Ami gave you just in case you see Erika and blush at her again." Ash thought.
Ash had a flashback just when the gang were about to turn in for the night, Ami was talking to Ash.
"Ash, just in case you meet Erika again and blush at her, please shake it off, and stay focused and you'll be ok." Ami said.
Then it cuts back to gang who are about to join Erika, and they sat down with the crowd and Ash sat next to Ami and Usagi and Pikachu sat next to Raichu, Rei and Makoto sat next to one another and Chibiusa, Naru and Minako sat next to one another. Ash then sees Erika's Gloom and he recalls that Makoto has her own gloom.
"Well, it looks like we got some more people wanting to listen to the Story." Erika smiled "and especially the young man who reminds me of a prince. And they are all dressed in lovely kimonos."
When Ash heard the word He had yet another vision of the Silver Millennium where Princess Jupiter who is dressed in green offered Ash a lovely dance. However he shook it off again and Chibiusa asked a question.
"Ms. Erika, may I ask you a question?" Chibiusa asked
"Of course you may, young lady." Erika accepted
"I was wondering why we can all sit with Gloom. I always thought that because of its terrible smell, it was almost impossible to get anywhere near Gloom. So how come this Gloom doesn't smell bad to me at all?" Chibiusa asked
Erika smiled "It is but a simple manner."
"I was wondering that myself." Rei thought
"These little ones let out an unpleasant smell whenever they feel they are endangered." Erika explained "A defensive instinct is what causes it. That is why, so long as you let them always feel at ease, they will be all right."
"How do you know all that?" Minako asked
"Well, it was ten years ago.." Erika said while a flashback shows a frightened young Erika cornered by a wild Grimer.
"I got lost when I was very young and I could not move when I had an encounter with a Grimer, that Gloom understood my feelings."
Once the Grimer was about to attack a young Erika Gloom sprays a foul smell odor that drives the wild Grimer off. Afterwards, Erika hugs Gloom and thanks him for saving her and the it cuts back to Erika and Gloom.
"The one that saved me at that time was this Gloom, and We've been friends ever since.." Erika finished
This story made Usagi and Minako cry a little as Ash nodices and calms the two blondes down and they both calmed down and Ami smiled at him.
"That was so sweet, Erika." Ami complimented
"It's all because of her friendship with Gloom that Erika decided to become a grass Pokémon trainer." Said the Female employee
"It's kinda like me and Pikachu." Ash said
"Pika pi."
Ash then had another flashback when he was saving Pikachu from the flock of Spearow when Ash first started his journey and Pikachu got up and ran up to Ash and jumped on his shoulder and leaped up into the air and a big lightning bolt shot down and Pikachu let out a huge thundershock at the Spearows scaring them away and it cuts Back to Pikachu hugging Ash still.
"Well, young man, shall we have a gym battle?" Erika asked kindly
"Yeah, Erika, I would like to and it's why me and my friends came here." Ash accepted
"Chaa.."
"And after Ash, we'll be up next." Minako said "Except Chibiusa, who she doesn't have a Pokémon".
"You don't have to rub it in!" Chibiusa growled at Minako
"And you want to do it in your kimonos?" Erika asked
"Yep, and we all got dressed up for a special gym battle and a lovely gym like this is the right time." Usagi smiled
Meanwhile, Team Rocket was found in the cabinet and woke up as they were having a strange dream as they got out of the cabinet and landed on the ground and they got up and they looked for the Legendary Perfume and Jessie found a safe, she opens it and finally found the Legendary Perfume.
"We finally found it, the Legendary Perfume." Jessie said
"Man, that sleep powder really did us good." Meowth yawned
"I felt like I drank too much soda." James said
"Well, who cares we got the Perfume, it's like taking candy from a baby." Jessie said
Back with the group in the Battlefield, the lights come up and the girls, the moon cats and and Raichu lat on the bleachers cheering for our young hero in his Kimono and Pikachu is on his side.
"Ash, this will be a three on three Battle and we will do this battle with honor." Erika said and smiled
"Ok Erika, I'll give it my all." Ash said
"I hope the training we did is all worth it." Makoto said
"Flying and Fire types are the best way to handle a grass type gym." Ami smiled "So it will be with it."
Ami then sees Minako thinking on what to do with Ash and Ami the next day after this gym match is over and The other girls watched over as Ash and Erika sent out their first Pokémon.
"Ladies first." Ash said
"Pika."
"That's really sweet of you, Ash." Erika giggled "Well then Tangela, serve this opponent."
She sends out Tangela and he materializes from his Pokéball, then Ash gets out his PokéDex and analyzed it and the info says: "Tangela, the Vine Pokémon. Its body is covered in vines. Its true form inside is unknown."
"Ok Pidgeotto, I choose you!" Ash called
He then sends out Pidgeotto and he materializes from his PokéBall and it's all ready to battle, in the bleachers Makoto was a little Jealous that Erika had a Tangela.
"Aww. I wish I had a Tangela.." Makoto whined
"One day you'll get one, Mako it's in a Safari Zone." Rei smoothed
"Tangela, use vine whip!" Erika commanded
Tangela used vine whip on Pidgeotto, but The bird Pokémon dodged it just in time.
"Pidgeotto, use Wing attack!" Ash commanded
Pidgeotto attacked with Wing Attack and it was Super effective against Tangela knocking out Tangela in the process. Erika is shocked and she recalls Tangela.
"He's really strong. Return Tangela!" Erika Recalled and it came back to it's PokéBall and now feeling Layed back and she got out Weepinbell's PokéBall "Ok Weepinbell, come on out!"
She sends out Weepinbell and she materializes from her PokéBall as Pidgeotto who isn't down and out is still on the battlefield.
"Weepinbell, use Razor Leaf!" Erika commanded
Weepinbell attacked with Razor Leaf at Pidgeotto but it is not very effective against Flying types and Pidgeotto is ready to counter it.
"Pidgeotto, use Gust!" Ash commanded
Pidgeotto used Gust at Weepinbell and it's super effective against Grass Types meaning Ash has got this in the bag but Weepinbell is not ready to back down as it still has enough energy to fight.
"Ok, Weepinbell use Mega Drain!" Erika commanded
Weepinbell used Mega Drain which got most of Pidgeotto's Energy which made him a bit weaker to fight but it's not backing down.
"Ok, Pidgeotto, Wing attack!" Ash commanded
Pidgeotto attacked with Wing Attack which Made Weepinbell be knocked out leaving Erika shocked once more as she recalls Weepinbell.
"Weepinbell, return!" Erika recalled as she is down to her last Pokémon
"Yes, only one more Pokémon then Ash gets his 4th Gym Badge!" Makoto cheered
"Go! Go! Ashy!" Minako and Usagi cheered with fans "Do you're best and rule the world!"
She sends out Gloom and she materializes from her PokéBall and Ash recalls Pidgeotto and he is about to send Shiny Charmander.
"Mako, also has a Gloom." Ash recalled "Charmander, I Choose You!"
He sends out Shiny Charmander, and he materializes from his PokéBall and sparkles came out and Erika is surprised that Ash has a Shiny Pokémon.
"He's really good, and I know the prince of my dreams is also that good." Erika thought "However, the love I have for my grass Pokémon will surpass it."
"Wow, looks like he's fighting grass with fire, Huh?" Rei said
"Gloom, Mega Drain!" Erika commanded
Gloom used Mega Drain at Charmander, but it did very little effect on the fire Lizard Pokémon that is not very effective against a Fire Pokémon.
"Ok, Charmander use Fire Spin!" Ash commanded
Charmander then used Fire Spin on Gloom and it was Super Effort against grass Pokémon and it was so strong that it knocks out Gloom leaving Erika with no Pokémon left as the announcer called
"Gloom is unable to battle, Shiny Charmander is the winner and the victor goes to Aah Ketchum from Pallet Town!" The announcer said
The girls ran in to Ash in joy and one by one, they threw their arms around the boy and his electric type Pokémon Erika recalled her Gloom.
"There Gloom, you did very great out there." Erika smiled "you made me very proud."
she approached Ash as she is proud of him for his victory with a Rainbow Badge and she held his hand.
"I Concede defeat, Ash you were so amazing and remarkably strong, and for honor of you beating me fair and Square, I reward you with the Rainbow Badge." Erika congratulated
"Thank you very much Erika, you were amazing as well." Ash thanked
But before Ash was about to accept the Rainbow badge from Erika they heard some three familiar voices in the background and standing on top of the Gloom statue and with a detonator pump.
"Huh, such a smell such a pitiful victory." Jessie said
"I sense and Evil aura." Rei sensed "It's Team Rocket!"
"Damn it, and just when we were about to celebrate our victory?!" Ash snapped
"What do you losers, want?!" Makoto shouted
"Is that the..." Erika said
"To protect the world from devastation!" Jessie said
"To unite all peoples within our nation!" James."
"To denounce the evils of truth and love."
"To extend our reach to the stars above."
"Jessie."
"James."
"And last, but not least, to blast this dump sky high!" Meowth finished
Meowth pushes the detonator pump to set off the Blaster Ball, which is right below Jessie and James within the battlefield but they accidentally got blasted off due to the explosion as the Legendary Perfume lands on one of the Gym Staff's hands.
"Oops!! We screwed our plans over!!" Team Rocket cried while blasting off
The resulting explosion from the Bomb sets the gym ablaze and all the Grass Pokémon are panicing and running around in circles. And the girls went to the other room to transform while Ash and Naru we to to help all the other Pokémon, the girls held up their wanda and Usagi held up her brooch and called out...
"Moon Cosmic Power!"
"Moon Prism Power!"

Transformation Sequence: Usagi
Usagi's Cosmic Heart Compact opens, revealing the pink heart-shaped crystal inside, waving her hand over it. It flashes twice and erupts in pink light. Usagi is now standing in the middle of a light blue heart that's spinning to the right. She stands one leg while holding up her arms and begins pirouetting in the opposite direction, going faster until, in a burst of light, pink ribbons envelop her torso and midsection, transforming into her leotard. She elegantly stretches out her arms, and pink ribbons cover them, forming into her gloves. She then raised her right foot high with incredible flexibility, and pink ribbons cloak it changing into her boots. The heart made of blue light then turns into a circle of sparkles swirling around her waist, forming her skirt and bow. Now no longer in light, Usagi spins around a couple of times like a ballerina, and takes a small bow. As she comes out from her bow, a crescent moon mark glows in the middle of her forehead. Then, a tiara appears bearing a gold symbol of the Moon, along with her earrings, choker, and her ordango covers. Usagi opens her eyes, her transformation now complete, and strikes her signature pose.
Transformation Sequence: Chibiusa
The Prism Heart Compact opens, revealing Chibiusa's Silver Crystal inside of it. It begins to glow pink until a heart made of light pops up from it, flipping and overtaking the screen revealing Chibiusa bathed in light with the Prism Heart Compact in the center of her chest. The compact bursts with pink ribbons that tighten and wrap around Chibiusa's body, making her leotard. Chibiusa then spins around as a red bow appears where her compact is on her chest. Pink ribbons then wrap around her legs, forming her pink boots, and around her waist, forming her skirt and red bow at the back. Her gloves materialize next, and white-bordered red circular accents on her odango appear, along with pointed white fittings resembling a rabbit's ears, a golden tiara with a red gem, a pink choker around her neck, and pink studded earrings. Her transformation now complete; Chibiusa winks and then strikes her signature pose with a crescent moon in a pink background shining brightly.
Transformation Sequence: Ami
Ami held up her hand as blue sparkles swirled around it, alighting her fingernails, turning them into a shade of bright blue. Her transformation stick appears spinning, and she takes hold of it, the star on end as well as the symbol glowing. The logo on it begins to turn, enveloping Ami in blue light. Then she sweeps the pen over her head as a stream of sparkling blue water begins to emit from it, forming her leotard, boots, and gloves. A sparkling ripple, as well as a flurry of bubbles, expands over her body, creating a small mist of water that formed the rest of her uniform the same as Sailor Moon's but the center bow, boots, and rims on the gloves were blue and bright blue. She turns around and then strikes her signature pose.
Transformation Sequence: Rei
Rei's hand is held up as red sparkles swirl around it, alighting her fingernails, turning them into a shade of bright red. Her transformation stick appears spinning, and she takes hold of it, the star on end as well as the symbol glowing. The logo on the stick begins to turn as Rei is enveloped in red light. As she held up her pen while spinning around, long bright tongues of flame erupt from her pen, forming several rings around her body. The rings of fire tighten around her body, and in a brilliant flash of light, her outfit forms looking just like Sailor Moon's, but she is wearing red pumps along with a pair of red star-shaped earrings, the center bow is purple, and the rims of her gloves, her skirt, her choker, and collar are red. After that, Mars finishes with her signature pose.
Transformation Seuence: Makoto
The planet Jupiter appears, and Makoto puts her hand up, her fingernails begin to sparkle in bright green, and her transformation wand comes to her hand spinning, now having a different design. Her body now becomes silhouetted in green, as blue lightning erupted from her wand, while holding it up. As she spins around a few times, until stopping with her back turned, the lightning swirls around her, forming rings like an atom. The lightning explodes, revealing Makoto in her green Sailor Uniform wearing green boots, a pair of rose earrings, a pink bow and ribbon, gloves with green trims, and a green skirt, choker, and collar. Makoto then turns around, and in the middle of her forehead, her symbol appears, and her tiara materializes. Her transformation now complete; she assumes her final pose, her symbol and planet appearing in the background against a starry sky.
Transformation sequence: Minako.
Minako holds up her hand as golden stars swirl around it, alighting her fingernails, turning them into a shade of bright orange. Her transformation stick appears spinning, and she takes hold of it, the star on end as well as the symbol glowing. It begins to turn as Minako is enveloped in yellow light. Then she sweeps the pen over her head as banners of golden stars emit from it. Minako then holds up the pen above her head as the banners of stars form a spiral around her body. They disappear into the ground, forming a circle of stars, and burst into more stars going upwards, enveloping Minako's body. Then Minako emerges wearing the same outfit as Sailor Moon's, the center bow, boots, and rims on the gloves colored orange, her back bow, yellow, and her center bow, blue. She then opens her eyes as she struck her signature pose.
As all the trainers called back the frightened Pokémon back to their PokéBalls Ash and Naru held the moon cats, Ash held Luna and Naru held Artemis and all of the trainers head outside for evacuation as one of the trainers called the fire department to help out, Ash and Naru were very worried
Suddenly Sailor Mercury called Vaporeon, Shiny Squirtle, Staryu and Lapras to help put out the fire as the Sailor Guardains help out.
"Vaporeon, Squirtle, Staryu and Lapras!" Sailor Mercury called "Come on out and help us put out the fire!"
The water Pokémon came out and use all their Water moves to put out the fire.
"Onix, come out and throw as much dirt as you can on the flames!" Sailor Jupiter called
Onix then came out and spread so much dirt at the fire to put it out.
"Squirtle, come on out and Water Gun!" Ash called
Squirtle came out and used Water Gun on the fire to put it out and Shiny Charmander walked up to Ash to tell him that they're missing a person and a Pokémon, then they hear a Erika's scream and Gloom's cry alarming Ash and the gang.
"Damn! Erika and Gloom are still in there!" Aah cursed and rushes toward the burning gym
Sailor Mercury was shocked and alarmed "Ash, what on earth are you doing?!" She shouted
"I have to go back to save Erika and her Gloom, and I want you to come with me, Sailor Mercury." Ash said
"But if you rush do that you'll die!" Sailor Jupiter warned
"Look, our top priority is to make sure everyone is safe and Erika and Gloom need rescuing even if it means putting your life on the line." Ash said with a determined face
Sailor Mercury took a deep breath and she and Ash charged inside the burning building, They were trying to look for Erika and her beloved Pokémon, she was coughing due to the smoke of the fire.
"Erika!" Sailor Mercury called then coughed
"Gloom!" Ash called then coughed
"Help!" Erika cried
The two of them soon hear and find Gloom and Erika trembling and terrified and they rushed over by their side.
"Sailor Mercury use Shine Aqua Illusion to put the fire out." Ash said
"Right." Sailor Mercury said
Ash then turned to Erika and Gloom "Don't worry Erika and Gloom we're gonna get you two out of here as fast as we can!" Ash said
However, as Ash and Sailor Mercury begin to approach, Gloom's foul odor begins to spray, causing them to back away.
Some of the gym roof comes down, scaring the two even further Sailor Mercury stepped forward and unleashed her attack that Ash saw earlier
"Shine Aqua Illusion!"
The Guardian of Mercury spun herself around making droplets of water surround her, then they came together as she unleashed a powerful blast of at some of the falling parts of the gym putting out the fire. Then Ash smells the scent has no smell, Ash had a flashback of what Erika said.
"These little ones let out an unpleasant smell whenever they feel they are endangered." Erika explained "A defensive instinct is what causes it. That is why, so long as you let them always feel at ease, they will be all right."
Then it cuts back to Ash approaching Erika and Gloom while Sailor Mercury is by his side as Ash spoke to Erika as he is about to pick her up and hold her bridal style.
"Erika, hang on to gloom tightly and whatever you do, don't let go." Ash said as he picked up Erika.
"O-Ok, Ash." Erika accepted "Hold on tight, Gloom, we're going to get out of here, and Ash and Sailor Mercury are here to help us."
Ash, Sailor Mercury, Erika and Gloom all head out of the building as Sailor Mercury lead the way as she used Shine Aqua Illusion on the fire that was standing in their way putting it out as they saw the exit.
Meanwhile, outside, the others and Erika worry for their friends' and Pokémon's safety as Pikachu gets worried for Ash and Sailor Mercury, and Sailor Moon prying to god to make sure they are ok.
"Pika pi."
"Ashy, Sailor Mercury, please be ok." Sailor Jupiter thought
"Please come out." Sailor Moon prayed
Suddenly Ash and Sailor Mercury came out of burning Gym with Ash carrying Erika and Gloom, Erika looked at Ash's brave and determined face and her cheeks starts to flush pink and starts to fall in love with him and bringing a sigh of relief to everyone. Everyone rushes to the two brave trainers to congratulate them.
"Ashy!" Sailor Mercury!" Sailor Moon cried tears of you while throwing her arms around them
"You guys are ok!" Sailor Jupiter cried while hugging them as well
The other Guardians and Naru all hugged Ash and Sailor Mercury in relief and Pikachu and Raichu cheered for their bravery even Luna and Artemis smiled. And Erika snuggled on Ash which causes him to blush a bit.
"Thank you, Ash, Sailor Mercury." Erika thanked
"Y-You're welcome." Ash said
"with pleasure." Sailor Mercury said
When morning comes, the gym is still standing, but damaged and Ash set Erika and Gloom on their feet and the Sailor Guardians are back to their civilian forms.
"Ash, in honor of you beating me fair and Square, I reward you with the Rainbow Badge." Erika said holding the Rainbow Badge
"Thank you Erika." Ash said
Ash accepted the badge from Erika who is blushing at him still and Ash held up the badge up high.
"Yeah, I got a Rainbow Badge!" Ash said
"And that's your 4th badge!" Ami and Usagi said
"Pi Pikachu!"
Erika then approved Ash that she has one more thing for him for saving her and Gloom.
"And for saving me and Gloom.." Erika said
She then leans and kisses Ash on his left cheek which caused Ash's face to turn pink making the trainers giggle and Ami, Makoto, Minako, Naru, Chibiusa, Rei and Usagi awe in happiness, Pikachu, Charmander, Raichu, Luna and Artemis look on as they see that Erika is in love with Ash.
"E-Erika, T-Thank you." Ash thanked as she hugged Ash
"It was my pleasure, Ash, I think you the most wonder man from Pallet Town I ever met unlike the other guy from Pallet who made fun of Perfume before he left the City." Erika said
"She meant Gary, Damn him." Ash thought
"Did Erika just kiss Ash?" Chibiusa asked
Before anyone could answer they see a glow on Shiny Charmander meaning it's ready to evolve catching everyone's attention, and just like that Shiny Charmander has evolved into Shiny Charmeleon and he lets out a cheer as he approached Ash and winked.
"Charmander..." Usagi awed
"...Evolved!" Ash said
Ash then got out his PokéDex and analyzed Charmeleon and the Info says. "Charmeleon, the Flame Pokemon. And the evolved form of Charmander. It has razor sharp claws and its tail is exceptionally strong."
"Wow, Charmeleon you evolved, congratulations!" Ash said offering a handshake
However Shiny Charmeleon wanted a fist bump so Ash and Charmeleon fist bumped for their victory and Erika smiled and looked at the girls.
"Too bad we have to wait to battle Erika..." Rei sighed
"It would take about a day for the gym to get back up and running again so you girls can challenge me." Erika said "in the meantime there's a lot of stuff to do in the city."
"And Team Rocket got away with the..." Naru cried
"I have the Legendary Perfume right here." Said the Gym Trainer
"And it looks like they won't be coming back for a while!" Usagi said
Minako was thinking of what to do with Ash and Ami to celebrate Ash's victory and she went over to Ami and Whispered in her ear to ask Ash out on a date which causes her to be flustered.
And so, Ash finally got the Rainbow Badge, but don't forget, when raising Pokémon, the most important aspect is love, then Minako was planing along with Ami a date with Ash to celebrate his victory, what would the date be? Find out as the Journey Continues!

And just like that Ash got his 4th Kanto Gym badge and 4 Badges to go and he'll compete in the Indigo Leauge, but Ami, Makoto, Minako, Naru, Rei and Usagi needs to battle Erika in order to get the Rainbow badge.
Sailor Moon Eternal is a great movie and the dub is very top notch, and Sailor Moon Crystal is coming to Netflix on July 1st.
