Chapter 25
The Tower of Terror! Enter Gengar.
Last time Makoto and Rei wanted to pull Ash out of depression after his humiliating first defeat against Sabrina, they went Ice Skating, had lunch at the Cafe who they ran into Haruka, Michiru and Setsuna who Ash also meets, and they went to a Spa which afterwards defeated Team Rocket who tried to steal Ash's Pikachu and Makoto's Raichu with a help of Sailor Uranus, Sailor Neptune and Sailor Pluto, and after exploring a Greenhouse and smelling the roses they head back to the hotel where Makoto made rose tea and the young man had idea, to catch a Ghost Pokémon at Lavander Town. Upon hearing this Ash and our Heroes head to Lavander Town to capture one at the Pokémon Tower.
After having pulling out of his depression of not only his loss of Sabrina's Psychic type Gym in Saffron City but his first loss ever, Ash and his friends learn how they might defeat her, ghost types. Now they're on their way to try and capture one of the Ghost Pokémon that haunts the dreaded Pokémon Tower in Lavender Town. and they agreed that they will go first thing in the morning which turns out misty, cold and foggy.
"Wow, the last time we came here it wasn't foggy at all, it was Crystal clear." Ash spoke "I don't remember this much fog."
"Pika.."
"It's getting really hard to see anything if it gets thicker." Usagi chimed in "If we get lost, we won't be able to make it out fo the forest and never make it to Lavender Town."
"Everyone, we need to stick together and hold hands if it gets thicker." Ami suggested "I heard the Lavender Town's Pokémon Tower that there was a ghost of Cubone's mother that was killed by Team Rocket trying to protect her baby."
"Pichuuuu…."
"That's really sad." Chibiusa sighed
Just then the Fog becomes more thicker and thicker by the second, and Ash must sense the way to Lavender Town, it's a good thing Rei taught him. Otherwise they would've gotten lost.
"Damn, Just what we need, a fog that's thicker then soup to make the road to Lavender Town seem eerier than the place itself." Artemis murmured as he nuzzled on Minako
"I don't want to become a ghost myself before getting a ghost Pokémon." Minako said looking worried
"Ok everyone, if we hold hands, we won't wonder off." Ami said as she took Ash's hand
One by one they group started holding Hands with Usagi holing Ash's other hand and the others holding the hands that are holding Usagi's hand, when Ash realizes that the bluenette was holding his hand his cheeks tuned pink like her's
"Ash, it's ok you can hold my hand." Ami smoothed "Besides we went out once with Minako."
"Yeah, we really care." Minako winked as she hugged Ash from behind
"Ok, whatever you do, everyone, don't, repeat, DON'T, let go of your link buddy!" Makoto said
"Hey Naru, come on, take a hold of one of our hands!" Luna shouted
Naru however was the only one without a link buddy and trying to find a hand to take in order for her to net get separated from the group.
"Hey, Mako, Ash?" Naru called "Where are you two?"
"He's right there." Erika said
"How do you mean 'here?'" Naru called
"She means right here!" Ash said "Everyone, clear some space for Naru so he can link with Me from behind!"
"Pikachu!"
"Right!" Everyone said
"Oh, I see right there." Naru smiled
Everyone parts to make room for Naru to walk up to Ash, but she accidentally grabs Pikachu's tail, which startled him and shocks her, and as a result of her screams and yells, she frightens almost everyone.
"Pi?! PIKACHUUUU!!!!!"
"AHHHHH!!!!!" Naru screamed
This caused Ash to pull Ami close to his chest as Ami closes her eyes and Usagi frighteningly threw her around him and she and Ash screamed in fright and the other girls circled him except for Minako who's hiding in the back, when Pikachu is done shocking Naru she fell flat on her back, dizzy.
"Oops….." Naru spoke "Sorry, Pikachu…"
"Pika…"
"Oh! It was just Naru, she must have grabbed Pikachu's tail by accident." Ash sighed in relief notices he and Ami are hugging his face turn very bright pink
Ami nodices too and her faces flushed as pink as Ash's.
"Oh, uh, Sorry about that Ami." Ash apologized "My instincts just kicked in that's all."
"No, no, no it was totally my fault." Ami spoke
"Wow, that really scared us." Usagi sighed in relief "Naru, be more careful next time and grabbing Pikachu's tail wasn't nice!"
"Don't shout out so suddenly. It's startling." Makoto scolded
Ash nodices someone's missing "Hey girls, have you seen Minako?"
Just then someone snuck behind him which made Ash get goosebumps and Ami held on to him still, but then got suspicious when she heard a familiar voice.
"Ohhh…. You sure scared me, Naru…." Someone said in a ghostly tone "Ash….. you shouldn't startle people eather…."
"Uh…. Minako is that…You?" Ash asked timidly
"Minako?" Makoto asked
"Minako? are you o-o-okay?" Usagi gulped You sound like a g-g-g-ghost!"
"Mabye I am a ghost myself. because you're screaming turned me into one!" Minako said and turned around to the group with a skeleton make on. "RAAAAAGHHHHH!!!!!"
This causes everyone with the exception of Ami to scream, shrieked, panic in terror, while Luna and Artemis hid behind Raichu, and Usagi and Chibiusa ran up in a tree in fright.
"HAVE MERCY, DREADFUL APPARITION!!!!" Usagi cried
"DON'T HAUNT US!!!! I PROMISE TO NOT FIGHT WITH USAGI AGAIN!!!" Chibiusa cried
When everyone was scared out of their wits, Minako took off the mask and started laughing at the group and how scared they were.
"Ha! Ha! Ha! I got you all good!" Minako laughed
Ami was rather annoyed by Minako's Prank, and gave her a disapproving glare. "Minako! That was very impure, Apologize!" Ami scolded
"I was only joking, since we're going into Lavender Town since the last time we went there was we got out of the rock tunnel," Minako explained "and we're going there since it has Ghost Pokémon and I thought we should practice facing our fears, That's the only way we're gonna become great Pokémon trainers."
The gang on the other hand were annoyed and furious at The blonde including Usagi and Chibiusa and they gave her very cold and angry glares and shouted at the blonde.
"WHAT THE HELL, MINAKO?!" Ash snapped
"YOU SCARED THE LIVING CRAP OUT OF US!!!!" Makoto snarled
"YOU MUST BE CRAZY!!!" Rei roared
"YOU HAVE TO JOKE AROUND AT A TIME LIKE THIS?!" Usagi and Chibiusa snapped
"IT'S NOT SUPPOSED TO END UP LIKE THIS!!!" Naru shouted
"DON'T YOU EVER DO THAT AGAIN!!!" Erika yelled
"CHUUUU!!!!"
"PIIICHUUU!!!"
"RAIIICHU!!!!!"
Minako gets shocked by Pikachu, Pichu and Raichu so much for scaring them as she screams in pain, and the group when they're done Minako fell flat on her back.
"AAAAAHHHHHH!!!!" Minako shrieked "I WAS JUST KIDDING STOP!!!"
"That wasn't funny! You really scared the living crap us!" Artemis glared
"You're even worse than Usagi!" Luna said
"Shut it cat!" Usagi glared at the feline
"And you scared me and Usagi up a tree!" Chibiusa shouted
"Are you trying to get me a heart attack?!" Ash snapped
"Minako, I think you owe all of us an apology." Ami said sternly "and after that we should head to Lavender Town with time to spare."
"Pika! Pika!"
"I'm….. Sorry…." Minako apologized as soon as she got shocked
After that joke that Minako made, our heroes soon arrive in Lavender Town and as the fog finally cleared up and our heroes looked in the distance to see a tower that is the Infamous Pokémon tower at the end of the town.
"There's Lavender Town, it's a good thing we made it here before dark." Ash said
"Pika Pi."
"But what's that tower in the distance?" Asked Usagi
"That, my friends, is the legendary and infamous Pokémon Tower. It's the center for Ghost type Pokémon in the whole town, if not for every Ghost Pokémon in Kanto, to flock to." Ami said "Now let's find a Pokémon Center."
"I guess my prank back there wasn't enough, huh?" Minako wondered
"Minako." Ash glared with a nasally voice as they walk down the path that leads to the town "What can you possibly do that will scare us? I mean we were all like 'AAAHHHH!!!' Because we, excluding Ami who knew that you were trying to mess with us. Thought that you turned into a ghost."
"Oh I'll show you terrifying." Minako giggled "There used to be a gym in Lavander Town gym until it disappeared without a trace."
"A gym?!" Everyone cried in surprise
"Minako, there's no way there could be a gym that disappeared." Makoto said rolling her eyes.
"Yeah, I heard from a urban legend about the Lavander Town syndrome, but I don't want to share it to the audience." Rei said turning to the readers "I broke the forth wall, didn't i?"
"Ok, it goes like this." Minako said as she is about to tell the story as they kept walking "Lavender Town was once believed to have a Pokémon Gym of it's own and one day it vanished without a trace, but what happened to it you may ask? Before we all started our journeys, Lavander Town had a gym, I'm going to tell you what happened in Lavander Town that changed forever. Upon one trainer arriving at Lavander Town when he healed all his Pokémon at the Pokémon Center, he spotted a Gym the center of the town, so what could possibly be inside the gym you may ask?"
"What?" Usagi asked
"The trainer went inside to take a good look." Minako continued while holding a flashlight as the flashback of the Tariner entered the Gym "Inside of the Gym they are many rows of graves for the dead and they're making a pattern, but what was at the end of this path? and who would've been so crazy to put Pokémon graves in a gym like that? The gym was leading the trainer upwards to who could only assume was the Gym leader."
"What happens next?" Naru asked feeling a little uneasy
"When the trainer spoke to her she said 'I am the Lavender Town Gym leader.'" Minako continued still in a creepy voice "'I always use Ghost type Pokémon. You are unfortunate to have come here because… You could never leave!' The trainer ran as fast as his legs can carry him as he try and escape from that crazy place! The fog got worse and worse as the trainer keeps on going. When he reached the exit of the gym he nodices a strange man standing near one of the Rhydon statues and he says 'I am the future…. You will NEVER get a chance to experience the future because you're trapped here…. FOREVER!!!'"
Everyone gasped and Erika spoke and held on to Ash "I'm starting to get goosebumps."
"This is going to be the good part" Minako smiled as she continued "Then everything suddenly went silent. The room is now empty, nothing but graves. The trainer walked forward and he saw what he thought he would be a Soul of Professor Oak's great grandfather's soul and he said 'You really thought you could come here to battle a gym leader? Well, your trapped here forever and there is never anyone can save you! You shall go to hell with to the others!' And the room started to turn red and purple as the gym stated disappearing and getting dragged down underground taking the Trainer with him! After the gym mysteriously vanished nobody has talked about it… and the trainer was never heard from…..Again."
As Minako ended her story everyone looked at her with shocked looks even Usagi and Chibiusa were frightened of her story and how it seem real, Ash was suprised.
"That's really crazy!" Ash cried
"Pika!"
"Minako, that was the scariest story I ever heard!" Usagi whined
When Pichu hears this her eyes filled up with tears and begins to cry.
"Piiichu!!!!"
"There, there, Pichu." Ami gently smoothed as she rocked her crying Pichu while humming a lullaby "Minako didn't mean to tell a scary story. Shhh…."
The gang soon arrived at the Pokémon Center and getting their Pokémon healed with Ash going last and after they all got their Pokémon healed including Pikachu, Raichu and Pichu, they overhear two people saying that the Pokémon Tower, the town's Pokémon graveyard, is haunted.
"I hear it's been appearing in the Pokémon Tower lately." Said a man
"Really?" Said the woman
"Yeah. A lot of people have seen it." Said the man
"Hey, is that stuff about ghosts true?" Ash asked chiming in.
"And the Ghost came from the infamous Pokémon tower?" Usagi asked
"Yes." The man nodded "I haven't see. Anything, but that's what everyone in Lavender Town says."
"I heard Lavender Town is famous for it's Pokémon Cemetery, the Pokémon Tower." Ami said "If a Pokémon passes away, you bury them in the Pokémon Tower."
"Exactly, many people come from far and wide to visit the graves." Said the man
"So that ghost you mentioned earlier is a Pokémon?" Makoto asked
"It is a rumor however." Said the woman "Do you all think there's a ghost?"
"No, we just got here from Saffron City." Usagi said "We came here to get a Ghost Pokémon for Ash for him to win against Sabrina."
"That's good, you're right." The woman giggled "There's no way there could've a white hand on your arms, I must've been seeing things."
The gang turned behind them to see nothing and when they turned back, the two people were gone leaving the gang confused.
"What the hell was that about?" Makoto asked
"I don't know." Ash said
"Pika.."
Nurse Joy then called the gang up and they all walked towards the table and Ash spoke
"Hi Nurse Joy." Ash greeted
"Are you all going to the Pokémon Tower?" Joy asks "If so then be sure to visit the Lavender Volunteer Pokémon House before going there."
"Yeah, we're going there to check it out while we came to the town." Ami said "and we'll go to the Pokémon house before we go."
"Ok, girls let's call my mom first before we head there to know where we are." Ash said
The girls nodded
Ash and the girls walked over to the Video Phone and Ash is getting ready to make a call and the girls, and the three electric mouse Pokémon gathered as well, he makes the call and they see Delia's smiling face and they greeted her.
"Hi, honey!" Delia greeted "Hi everyone!"
"Hi mom." Ash greeted
"Hi, Mrs. Ketchum!"
"Pika!"
"How's my baby?" Delia asked and her face turned to worried "I heard that you lost a gym battle because Minako told me."
"Yeah, but Mako and Rei pulled me out of it." Ash said "and I feel all better now."
"Yep, and we did a great job cheering up, Ash and I taught him how to ice skate and he did the same to Rei." Makoto chimed in
"And we went to a Spa and a green house and also he got us some bouquets of Roses." Rei smiled while hugging Ash
"I'm really happy that you girls are there for him when he needed it." Delia smiled "and Usagi I ran to your mother Ikuko Tsukino the other day and she asked me how are you doing and I'll tell her you said hi!"
"Ok!" Usagi cheered
"Pichu!"
After a few minutes of talking to Delia on the Video phone and getting Ash's PokéDex upgraded to be Also used as a Phone and Communicator, Ash, Pikachu, Raichu, Pichu and the girls all head out to go to Lavender Volunteer Pokémon House and they stood by the front door and Ash rang the doorbell.
"Hello, Is Mr. Fuji home?" called Minako
"Patience, Minako." Ami smoothed
"What did Nurse Joy mean by, 'before going to the Pokémon Tower?' I mean we're only here to catch a Ghost Pokémon for Ash." Makoto said
Sure enough Reina, Mr. Fuji's volunteer at the Lavender Volunteer Pokémon House answered the door and greeted the gang.
"Hello, and welcome." Reina greeted "Mr. Fuji's in the other room."
"Hello." The gang greeted
"Pika!"
"Rai!"
"Pichu!"
"We look after Pokémon that have been abandoned by their trainers." Reina said
"That's sad." Ami sighed feeling bad for the Abandoned Pokémon
"And terrible." Ash sighed sadly
"Come on, let me show you all around." Reina said "Right this way."
Ash, Pikachu, Raichu, Pichu and the girls all followed Reina to the room where the townspeople are taking good care of the abandoned Pokémon, Usagi looked at some Oddish, Vulpix, Growlith and Ash spoke.
"There's an awful lot of abandoned Pokémon here." Ash said
"It's really sad." Naru said holding Ash's hand
"Was this place used to be Mr. Fuji's house before it got turned into a Pokémon House?" Ami asked
"Chu.."
"Mr. Fuji, the founder of the Pokémon House, said: 'There are a lot of people in this world you think of Pokémon as tools or accessories.' This place was originally Mr. Fuji's house." Reina explained "Mr. Fuji set up these facilities to help Pokémon."
"Mr. Fuji seems like a very nice person." Ami smiled
"He really is, ma'am. That's why the townspeople volunteer to help him out." Reina said "My name is Reina, one of the volunteers."
Ash and the girls greeted Reina.
"I'm Ash Ketchum. And this is my best friend, Pikachu."
"Pikachu."
"I'm Usagi Tsukino."
"I'm Ami Mizuno and this is my Pichu."
"Pichu."
"I'm Rei Hino."
"I'm Makoto Kino and this is my Raichu."
"Raichu!"
"I'm Minako Aino."
"I'm Chibiusa Tsukino."
"I'm Naru Osaka."
"My name is Erika."
"It's a pleasure to meet all of you." Reina giggled
"We're so glad too, Reina." Ash smiled "The Pokémon here all look so happy."
"I wouldn't be so sure." Rei said looking at the Cubone
And there he was, an angry baby Cubone, stared down at the gang and is backed not wanting to get along with anybody leaving the others sad for it.
"This baby Cubone only likes Mr. Fuji, and it's very cautious of other people." Reina said "and it was Team Rocket's doing, they killed his mother."
"What?!" The gang cried
"Pika?!"
"Rai!"
"Pichu!"
"What the hell did Jessie, James and Meowth do to kill Cubone's mother?!" Ash asked angrily
"I know those two morons and their talking Meowth would do some stupid and annoying crap to us, but killing Cubone's mother is a brand new level of low!" Makoto spoke angrily punching her fist into her palm
"Why would they do such a thing this cruel?!" Ami asked
"It was other Team Rocket members, and the three that you mentioned just arrived in town and has not killed his mother!" Reina said and then took a deep breath and spoke "One day that Cubone encountered Team Rocket near town…"
The flashback begins as a Sandshrew, Sandslash and a Mankey are running away from 3 Team Rocket Grunts as they are holding a few nets as one grunt sees the baby Cubone running into another direction.
"Hey, it went that way!" Said the grunt "after it!"
The baby Cubone ran as fast as his little legs can carry him until a Grunt cornered it to a Boulder as he is ready to catch it
"A baby Cubone! There's nowhere to run, let us catch you!" Said the grunt
Suddenly, an unknown Pokémon tackled them to protect it. The Pokémon was soon revealed to be Cubone's mother, a Marowak, who told her child to run. Cubone was hesitant at first, but soon ran off. The Marowak is ready to fight however one of the Grunts, infuriated by Marowak's intervention.
"You Bastard! I'll teach you to get in our way!" Cursed the grunt pulled out a stun baton
The Team Rocket Grunt walked over to Matowak and she was about to defend herself with her Bone but the grunt counters with his baton and beats her to death. Cubone looks back in horror to see his mother killed.
"Then Cubone's mother, Marowak was killed by the Team Rocket Grunt." Reina said
Suddenly a man walked over to Cubone and he looked at the poor thing, he sweetly picked him up and carried him while Cubone starts breaking down in tears and started crying.
Then it cuts back to the Pokémon house with Reina and the gang looking sadly at the baby Cubone.
"Ever since then, he hasn't been fond of by any humans, aside from Mr. Fuji." Reina said
She then looked at the gang to see a crying Usagi, Chibiusa, Naru, Pichu and Minako, Erika, Ami, Makoto, Ash, Rei, Pikachu and Raichu being very hurt and Ami holds Ash's hand Rei, Makoto and Erika give him a hug. Ash was appalled at the Team Rocket grunts.
"That poor Marowak!!" Usagi wailed
"Those Team Rocket bastards…" Ash murmured "How could they… Cubone… I promise you… I will defeat Team Rocket and avenge your mother's death…."
"Chu…"
"I wish there was something we can do…." Makoto thought
"Ash, we're going to defeat them no matter what the cause." Ami smoothed "What Team Rocket did is very unforgivable…."
"We're going to give those Rockets a well deserved beating." Rei snarled
Then the gang heads back to the lobby to bid farewell to Reina and thanked her for showing them around.
"Thank you for showing us around." Ash thanked
"Pika."
"Yes, Nurse Joy from the Pokémon Center told me to come here before going to the Pokémon Tower." Ami said "We're so glad we did."
"You're welcome, Ash and the girls." Reina smiled "Mr. Fuji isn't just kind, he knows a lot about Pokémon! He can teach you all a lot!"
"I'm aiming to become a Pokémon master." Ash said "That's why we're looking forward to meeting Mr. Fuji."
"My dream is to become a Doctor like my mother." Ami said "and not just a good doctor, a great one."
"I have a lot of dreams to the point it might take too long to count!" Usagi smiled
"I wish to be a bride and get married!" Makoto chimed in "My dream is to be happy and raise a family while running a flower shop and a cake shop combined."
"My dream is to run the Hikawa Shrine in Pallet Town and succeed my grandpa." Rei smiled "and one day marry the guy of my dreams, and be a idol."
"And finally, My dream is to become a wonderful idol!" Minako spun "I wish to be the biggest star in the whole world!"
Naru, Chibiusa and Erika are unsure what to wish for and they'll tell the gang sometime later in the Journey, Reina was happy that the gang made some wonderful wishes
"Those are wonderful dreams." Reina giggled
"So which one is Mr. Fuji?" Minako asked curiously
"Well, about that…. He is-" Reina said
Before she can answer, a man comes in, reporting of where Mr. Fuji went.
"Everyone, I know where Mr. Fuji is!" He sad "He went to the Pokémon tower! Yesterday, someone saw Mr. Fuji heading into the Pokémon tower by himself."
"It was Team Rocket. He must've gone to make them leave the Pokémon Tower." Said the Woman "and then he was captured, you don't negotiate with people like them."
"Team Rocket turned the top floor of the Pokémon Tower into their hideout." The man said
"There was no warning, they came out of nowhere." Reina said "They suddenly showed up in a truck, and they violently chased away anyone who tried visiting the Pokémon Tower. Ever since then, we've been unable to enter the Pokémon Tower."
"Damn them!" Ash and Makoto cursed
"and there's also a ghost!" Said the woman "I saw it with my own eyes! The other day, I went to visit a grave in the middle of the night when Team Rocket wasn't around, when I did a ghost came out and told me to get out! It was so scary!"
"That's really intense." Usagi said
"This town is finished if no one can enter the Pokémon Tower." Said the man
Ash looked at the worried townsfolk and Reina and is unable what to do he only came here to get a Ghost Pokémon to beat Sabrina, however he wanted to help the townspeople as much as the girls want to. He took a deep breath and spoke.
"Me and my friends are going in to rescue Mr. Fuji!" Ash shouted
"Pika!"
"Yeah, we're going too!" Usagi cired
Everyone looked at Ash and the gang for their bravery and courage to go in the Pokémon Tower.
"But that's assured and suicide!" The woman said "Not even the adults of Lavender Town could beat Team Rocket!"
"Yeah, but we have the courage go in there and get Mr. Fuji back!" Makoto cried
"That's right. When it comes to Pokémon Battles, we're confident." Ami smiled
"Pichu!"
"And we got the Gym Badges to prove it!" Minako said while she as well as Ash and the gang showed their 4 Badges and everyone was amazed on how they're confident.
"Would you all be alright?" Asked the man
"We won't let Team Rocket get away with this!" Ash shouted "and I made a promise to Cubone I would avenge his mother's death…."
"And we won't let them have their way!" Erika said
"We'll give it our all!" Naru shouted
"Yeah!" Ash and the girls cried
"Pika!"
"Rai!"
"Pichu!"
Then our heroes head out the the Pokémon House and made their way to the Pokémon Tower to now not only catch a Ghost Pokémon but defeat Team Rocket, Avenge Cubone's mother and rescue Mr. Fuji. Unknown to them, Gary watches this and plans on attacking Team Rocket before Ash and the girls does.
By the time our heroes reach the Pokémon Tower, it had gotten dark, though it was still the middle of the day, leaving the others Confused but at least they arrived. Ash, Rei and Makoto closed their eyes to sense a massage evil aura in the tower, and unknown to them a playful Gengar was spying on them.
"I sense a massive evil aura." Rei spoke "I has to be the Ghost."
"I sense it too." Makoto said
"Me too, and Gary went in first before we did and try to take on Team Rocket and the Ghost." Ash said "Guess we have to go help him."
"But he's your rival and he's been a jerk to us throughout our journey, Ash!" Makoto objected
"I know he's my rival but he need our help either way!" Ash said "he might've been trying to rescue Mr. Fuji without a Silph Scope! and we got ours, so what do you say we go up there and rescue Mr. Fuji and get me a Ghost Pokémon?"
"Pikachu!"
Ash turned to the group and he is dumbfounded by Usagi, Chibiusa and Minako is stood back. WAY back. Even Ami, Rei, Erika, Makoto, Pikachu, Raichu, Pichu and the moon cats looked at the two blondes and the pink bunny dumbfoundingly and embarrassment as Ash facepalmed.
"W-We're scared!" Shivered the trio
"Girls! Stop being chickens and come on!" Makoto shouted "We got work to do!"
Rei got out a horn and gets ready to blow.
"TIME TO COME ON AND STOP GOOFING AROUND!!!" Rei roared
Rei blows her trumpet so hard that it snaps Usagi, Chibiusa and Minako out of their fears and wits for now as they approached to the gang and nodded to say they will help.
"Ok, everyone. Let's go!" Ami said with Ash leading the way
Up top in the tower, Jessie, James and Meowth watches our heroes enter the building and snickering of what suprise they have in store for them.
Inside, the gang reached the 6th floor as Usagi and the Inner Guardians are transformed and they all realize that it was more scarier then they thought, and more graves are all about and Ash and Sailor Mercury were holding flashlights as they walked forward.
"It suddenly got colder…" Ash murmured
"Pika."
"Just stay close, everyone." Sailor Mercury said
Suddenly the gang encounters by surprise, finds a woman. and she spoke to them leaving the others in shock and Sailor Moon, Sailor Venus and Sailor Chibi Moon hugging one another for dear life.
"The Pokémon Tower is even more scarier!" Sailor Venus screamed
"Please don't scare us like that!" Sailor Mercury cried
"I'm not a ghost." Said the woman "I just had to see my Nidoran, are you visiting a grave too, boy and his girls whose thoughts are filled with Pokémon?"
"Aren't you scared?" Sailor Chibi Moon asked
"Not at all, young lady." She responded "It seems like the ghost only appears upstairs. I'm sure it has to do with Team Rocket."
"Upstairs. That's where we're heading." Ash said "We came to rescue Mr. Fuji and get a Ghost Pokémon."
"That's right, we can't let Team Rocket get away with what they did." The Guardians of water added
"Pichu!"
"And we heard that a Certain someone with his cheerleaders are here and his cheerleaders are probably too scared to enter a tower that's creepy as this." Sailor Jupiter chimed in and smiled at the woman "Now if you would excuse us, Ma'am we have to get up there to-"
Before Sailor Jupiter can finish her sentence they heard a scream coming from upstairs and the woman then walked away and the group looked up and see that Gary came down running downstairs traumatized like he saw a ghost even more then Makoto and Rei threatened him if he talked smack to them and Ash again. He then bumps into Ash and the Guardian of Mars and he spoke.
"Gary!" Ash and the girls cried
"Pika!"
"Rai!"
"Pichu!"
"Gary, What's wrong?!" Ash shouted "What are you doing here?!"
"Th-There's a Ghost from upstairs!!" Gary screeched "Ash, you and your girls have to get out of here right now!"
"And miss our chance into rescuing Mr. Fuji?!" Sailor Chibi Moon shouted appalled "No way!"
"LEAVE THIS PLACE….." the ghost said while coming down the stairs which made everyone jump and The Sailor Guardians, Naru and Erika jump and embrace the young raven haired young man which made his cheeks flush red, Sailor Mercury then analyzed the ghost with her PokéDex/Super Computer.
"So there really was a ghost!" Ash cried
"Chaaa!!!"
"Ash, you and the girls need to get out of here!" Gary cried
"No way!" Sailor Mars scoffed "if you want to run, then run. There's no way in hell we'll run, come on Ash, come on Girls let's send out our Pokémon to help battle!"
"Right!" The gang shouted
"Everyone, I analyzed the Ghost and I looked at it with my Silph scope, and it's actually Cubone's mother!" Sailor Mercury shouted "Be careful everyone, she might be as powerful as Sabrina!"
"Pikachu!"
"Jolteon!"
"Eevee!"
"Machoke!"
"Clefairy!"
"Flareon!"
"Gloom!"
"We choose you!" Ash and the girls called
Pikachu ran up to Battle as the girls' Pokémon were all sent out to battle as the ghost is about to roar at them to get out, Ash then uses his Silph scope as so did the Guardians, Naru and Erika and to see that Sailor Mercury was right! It was Cubone's mother: Marowak! The ghost revealed her true self and the others shocked.
"Sailor Mercury was right!" Ash cried "She is Cubone's mother!"
"Ok, everyone! Let's attack it one at a time!" Sailor Mercury shouted while sending out her Vaporeon
Unknown to them, Gary quietly snook away for Ash and the Guardians to deal with Marowak by themselves. as Gary left, Jessie, James and Meowth came out of their hiding places and looked on in horror to see a Ghost just when they were about to interrupt their battle.
"What is that?!" James cried
"A-A-A Ghost!!" Jessie screeched
"Damn it showing up at the wrong time!" Meowth cursed "It's high time we abort the hideout, I don't want the Ghost to get us!"
Team Rocket ran off back to the exit as fast as their legs can carry them in fear not wanting to get mixed up.
"Team Rocket's running away again!" The trio screeched
Back at the Lavender Town Pokémon house Cubone had a vision that his Mother is the ghost and sensed her aura he headbutts the gate and tired to get free to go see her as Reina came by to see what's going on, she sees Cubone trying to get out.
"Cubone, what's the matter?" She asked as she opens the gate to see Cubone run off "Wait, Cubone! Where are you going?!"
Back at the Pokémon Tower, Sailor Moon's Clefairy lands of the attack on Marowak first and Ash's Pikachu landed an Iron Tail on it, as the playful Gengar watches from behind and Marowak warns the gang one more time to get out.
"Everyone, we have to call our Pokémon back, even we're no match for a Pokémon as strong as her!" Ash cried "we got no other choice!"
"Pika?!"
Pikachu then sees the baby Cubone running through the graves and past the Boy and the Inner Guardians and the baby Pokémon embraces his mother and the Marowak hugs her baby back, the Sailor Guardians, Naru and Erika called back their Pokémon, while the gang looked on to the ghost mother and son Pokémon, and their eyes started to water up in tears and embraced one another for a group hug while crying and sobbing.
"Well… that's one opponent we don't have to defeat…" Sailor Jupiter sniffled
"Wah!" Sailor Moon, Sailor Chibi Moon and Sailor Venus wailed
Pikachu is about to cry as well as Pichu for Cubone Raichu then embraces the two mouse Pokémon as they burst to tears, then Reina comes by their side and pats Naru on her back, as they are done embracing one another, Marowak then floats away and leaving Cubone to then hug Pikachu, Pichu and Raichu.
"Well… Cubone got to see his mother for one last time.." Sailor Mercury said while she whipped her tears away
"Cubone's mother was very worried about him and couldn't Rest In Peace." Reina said
"Cubone…." Ash murmured
"Pika…"
The gang then heads up to the 6th and top floor to see 3 Team Rocket grunts wondering what happened down there, they see Ash, the Inner Guardians and the two girls and faces them.
"You there, how dare you intrude the Pokémon Tower!" Ash shouted "You need to leave here at once!"
"If not in the name of the moon we'll punish you!" Sailor Moon shouted
"Why don't you make us?" Team Rocket grunt 1 said
Then the three grunts sent out Koffing, Raticate and Zubat out to battle causing Ash, the Sailor Guardians, Erika and Naru to send out on their Pokémon, the Gengar watches on to cheer on Ash, downstairs, Reina tries to stop Cubone from going upstairs as he is not strong enough to fight Team Rocket.
"Pikachu, Iron tail!" Ash commanded
"Raichu, thunderbolt!" Sailor Jupiter commanded
Pikachu used Iron Tail on Koffing and Raichu used thunderbolt on Zubat which Zubat was knocked out and Koffing tackles Pikachu and directly at Ash and was sent flying.
"Ash, no!" The Sailor Guardians, Naru and Erika cried
Just before he and Pikachu were about to be sent tumbling downstairs he was caught by a mysterious Guardian, and that Sailor Guardian was Sailor Neptune and spoke.
"Oh my, it looks like we caught a familiar young man and his adorable electric mouse." Sailor Neptune said
The Outer Guardians and their Pokémon then stepped out of the shadows and the Inner Guardians and the Pokémon as well as Team Rocket were shocked to see them.
"Hope we didn't miss the party." Sailor Uranus smiled as her Umbreon stepped in
"We thought you all could use our help." Sailor Pluto Giggled while her Alakazam was sent
"Who the hell are you three?!" Team Rocket grunt asked
"I'm glad you asked. Answering the call from the new era, Sailor Uranus, here to fight with brilliance!" Sailor Uranus proclaimed
"Also answering the call from the new era, Sailor Neptune. Here to fight with elegance." Sailor Neptune spoke
"Protected by Pluto the planet of underworld, I am Sailor Pluto." Sailor Pluto spoke
"Damn more Sailor Guardians!" Team Rocket shouted
"Sailor Neptune, could you toss me and Pikachu back on the battlefield?" Ash asked while his cheeks are flushing pink
"Pika."
"Sure." Sailor Neptune answered as she tossed the young man and Pikachu back on the field and they land on their feet
When Team Rocket was about to attack again Sailor Uranus and Sailor Neptune commanded Umbreon and Espeon to use Shadow Ball and Pursuit which knocked both Koffing and Raticate out, this causes Team Rocket to flee, promising Ash and the Guardians that they will have their revenge.
"We did it!" Sailor Moon cheered
Sailor Uranus, realized that there is a Gengar foolishly standing behind Ash, and tries to scare him to no avail.
"Uh Ash, there's a Gengar behind you." Sailor Uranus said
Ash then turned around and it is a Gengar as it congratulated Ash on his victory against Team Rocket, as he is wanting to have fun scaring people.
"Hey, Gengar, how about you come with me on my quest." Ash asked
"Pikachu."
Gengar happily nodded and the young man got out an empty Pokéball, Gengar presses the button and he went inside of it meaning, Ash has got his first Ghost Pokémon Gengar.
"Welcome to the team Gengar." Ash smiled "Yeah, I got a Gengar!"
"Pi Pikachu!"
"And it's a keeper too!" Sailor Moon and Mercury cheered
"Well, you got a great Chance against Sabrina." Sailor Jupiter smiled
"Now, let's go and find Mr. Fuji." Sailor Mars said
Ash, Pikachu, Reina and the gang went upstairs and looked for Mr. Fuji, and they finally found him tied up as they rushed over to him and untied him.
"Mr. Fuji" Reina cried happily
"Oh, Reina, Cubone!" Mr. Fuji cried "You and your Friends came to save me, and who are your friends?"
"I'm Ash Ketchum." Ash said while he untied Mr. Fuji "and this is my buddy, Pikachu and these ladies are the Sailor Guardians, Naru and Erika."
"Pikachu."
"Hello." The girls greeted
"They beat Team Rocket in a Pokémon battle!" Reina said
"I see, thank you very much, everyone!" Mr. Fuji thanked and looked at Cubone while being held in Reina's arms "It seems like Merowak's wandering soul can Rest In Peace, thanks you all."
"Aww." Sailor Moon and Sailor Mercury giggled
Sailor Jupiter turned around to thank the Outer Guardians for their help but she nodices that they're gone, but she thought to herself that they will help them again when they get to Saffron City and she and Sailor Mars smiled that both of them were able to get Ash back up on his feet.
The Next day, the people come to pay their respects to their Pokémon, while others tend to the Pokémon House. Back at the Pokémon House, Mr. Fuji thanks the gang for their help. As Reina hugs Cubone and he feels a lot better, as Ash, Pikachu and the Girls watch on.
"Thanks to you all, everyone is back to normal." Mr. Fuji thanked "What's more, Cubone has finally opened his heart to people."
"It was a pleasure, Mr. Fuji." Ami smiled
"Yeah." Ash said "we're really happy to help."
"I don't know if it'll help you out, but there's something I want to give you." Mr, Fuji said and he gets out a PokéFlute "That is a PokéFlute. Upon hearing the PokéFlute, Sleeping Pokémon will spring awake."
Suddenly, Cubone came running down the hall and he hugs Ash in his legs as it seems to be a liking to him, Ash and Pikachu were a bit confused.
"Cubone, what's wrong?" Ash asked
"Pika Pika Pikachu."
"I think he wants to go with you on your journey." Mr. Fuji smiled
"He really likes you, Ashy." Usagi smiled
"I think he would make a great addition to your team." Ami suggested kindly
Ash took a look at Cubone and smiled and got out a empty Pokémon as he sent Pidgeotto to Professor Oak's Lab for now before coming back to the Pokémon House.
"Ok, Cubone." Ash smiled "You can come with us."
Cubone happily jumped and pressed the button on the empty PokéBall and he went in it meaning the lonely Cubone is lonely no more as he is with Ash.
"Welcome to the Team, Cubone." Ash smiled
"Pi Pikachu!"
"Its a keeper." Naru said
"Yeah!" Chibiusa said
Ash, Pikachu and the girls head out bidding the Townspeople as well as Mr. Fuji and Reina farewell and Reina bided farewell to Cubone as well and promises him that they will meet up again one day.
As our heroes walked back to Saffron City, Ash felt something a little off.
"I wonder where Sailor Uranus, Neptune and Setsuna went off to?" Ash asked out of curiosity
"Pikachu?"
"I think they went back to Saffron City." Makoto said
"Mabye they want to see you win at the Gym for your rematch against Sabrina." Rei pointed out
"And I wonder what happened to Jessie, James and Meowth." Usagi said
"Nah forget those three morons, they can wait for us at Saffron City." Naru said
Well, it seems that Ash has not only got a Ghost Type Pokémon, Gengar but a Cubone as well and with that our heroes make their way back to Saffron City for a rematch of a lifetime as they pass the rose Garden. will Ash win against Sabrina? And will it be the rematch of a lifetime? Find out as the Journey Continues!
