Attending a AAA meeting outside the school's curfew was a challenge for Shu when told Nezu. Who wished him luck in finding the support he needed when he first started going. The students in dorm A-1 didn't ask a single question about his outing. Just wanted him to go without needing to worry about them all when left alone. Reminding him that they didn't get placed in class A- 1 without having some sense of responsibility. His fellow teachers and other school staff were told through private channels. Some were sympathetic toward him and others just wanted to hug him. Anyone else that didn't react just shrugged since they knew little about him.
Just trying to go alone was a tad difficult for him when he left school's grounds by himself. He started out at the school's entrance after saying his farewells to the security guard. Pockets his hands into his jacket and begins his walk to the station. On his way to a AAA meeting being held at a French style Cafe around the evening hour. Stopping every now and then at cross walk as he took his time. To only stop outside a sweet shop's clearance sale of Pro Hero brands drinks. One he picked up had a smiling Deku with a bunny related name to it. Putting it back down when he saw a reflection of someone with two toned hair.
"Ohayō gozaimasu, Shoto- san," He turned, "Shouldn't you be patrolling or pulling a kid from a twisted remains of a car?"
"Slow night," Shoto walked closer to him, "Thought I swing by."
"You need to work on your stealth." He advised him.
Shoto walked closer and picked up two of the bottles that weren't touched by Shu and went to pay for them. Left Shu to wait for Shoto to rejoin him with a sigh leaving his lips. Straightening up and adjusting his sleeves when he looked up in silence.
"Do you prefer we speak in English or Japanese?" Shoto asked him, "Being that online sources say you speak both."
"I can curse with the best of them," He shrugged, "When you grandfather is a womanizer among Europe's hero community with two of three children born out of wedlock."
"…" Shoto wide eyed over the reveal.
"I got many aunts and uncles out there," Shu could feel Shoto's shock, "Only legal marriage my grandfather recognized was one with my late grandmother."
"…thirsty?" Only thing Shoto could do.
"Thanks and sorry," Shu apologized, "Just want you to know about my family drama beforehand."
Shoto didn't know where to start on his own since he just broke the news to his own about Shu. His mother and sister were the ones who showed genuine interest in his new partner. Had so many questions stemming from gender to her career path. Not much of a reaction came from his father or brother when they barely reacted. Only be told that person better make him happy and not being used by him.
"Something wrong?" Shu asked Shoto, "I didn't bring up anything when talking about my family."
"It made me feel normal." Shoto smiled.
"Really?" Shu blinked out of shock, "First for me."
They ended up walking back up to the station with Shoto as his company for the rest of the walk. Two went from talking about family to just small talk that brought out their smiles. Weather and current events were spoken about with jokes thrown in. Empty bottles were kept until a recycle bin was found to toss them in.
"I know I shouldn't ask," Shoto didn't want to feel like he was further intruding, "… how bad is your drinking problem?"
"Unwillingly inherited it from one of my uncles," Shu pocketed his hand, "When he visited the States and baby sat me, I watched him drown himself. My mom had him stop watching me with worry that I had picked up his habit."
"Which you did the night we…" Shoto realized.
They ended up stopping right in front of the cafe that Shu was about to enter with Shoto in shock. Who was ready to part ways with Shoto by thanking him for drink and company. To be taken back when Shoto stepped forward to open the door for him.
"Are you sure about this?" Shu asked Shoto, "This path isn't going to be a smooth one."
"You were first that day to see me as a person and not a hero," Shoto answered him, "Not let me return the favor."
Shoto was right behind Shu when they walked in together and smiled when introduced to the people. Stating he was here as a means of support and not the hero they know him as.

Shoto thought he would be able to hang out in his room within the dorm and video chat with his mother. Get an update of her new life as a nurse/ caretaker to Toshinori. Never took place when one of the students requested he step out for a minute. Had him agree when he noticed the date on the calendar he kept on the back of his door. Had him forgoing his All Might jacket for a light windbreaker when he stepped out.
"Why is this important?" He asked rather curious.
"…" Nameless octopus tentacle girl reached toward him.
He didn't get an answer right away when she grabbed him by one of his arms and tugged with all her strength. Toward the communal lounge he was forced to go where the rest of the students waited. All in their gym clothes and rather nervous in approaching him. Some couldn't make eye contact with him as others fidget in place.
"Guys!" Student still gripped his arm, shouted, "Don't chicken out. Now."
"We want to officially welcome you as our caretaker." One blurts out.
He smiled feeling out of sorts since he did know today was the first day of school for these students. Making him feel like an utter fool about not marking it on his calendar or setting a reminder on his phone.
"As much as I feel unprepared for this moment," He tried to not smile, "Off to your first day of class since I don't want you guys in trouble. See you tonight and stick to the curfew."
What he got was loud pleasantries from them all when they picked up their book bags and were out the door. A few hugged him while others just gave a bow or a high five. Leaving him to return each one with some energy despite how tired he was after last night. Until he was left with that one last student, who yawned with no clue everyone already left.
"Come on!" He once had to escort them, "Let's get you to class before you're late."
What he got was a lazy thumbs up when he handed the one book bag and directed them toward the front door. Which had him allowing this student to lead the way with him bringing up the front. Spotting the group of students from the dorm were not as far away to be chased.
"Guys!" He shouted, "You missed one."
He pointed out the student when he caught their attention without further saying a word to them. Which got him a thank you and apology when said student was retrieved by fellow classmates. Waves were exchanged when he lingered to watch them walk away before turning away.
"Better do the usual once over." He fought with a smile.
Walking through all the floors to pick up the trash bags that were put outside rooms and do basic maintenance. A few complaints from the female students about cracked tiles in the female bathroom. A loose floorboard in the males' bathroom was pointed out to him yesterday. Beside other small things that were on his list to do before getting hold of his mother.
"Oh yea," He remembered who 1-A homeroom teacher was, "Should have wished them good luck."
He recalled that a former pupil of Shota Aizawa had inherited his teaching POV toward students. Who also took on his role as a teacher within the U.A. High after a lengthy hiring process. Started up their own Quirk Apprehension Test then traditional orientation on the first day.
"I got confidence in them." He figured those students were assigned to 1 - A for a reason.
Out the window his worries were shoved aside when he heard news of students through teacher grapevine. Hidden smile he wore about their progress made him proud of them.
