For this episode we will focus more on the New directions. While Sam and Artie got to sing their feelings out, everybody else just sang along and cried to other people. Also Quinn Brittany, and Matt will be there but Quinn won't be having any significance. I was just disappointed of them for not being there. Matt however may just be in the beginning of a renewal. Also I think I'm just gonna let Puck stay as a screenwriter. I liked that idea for him.
{A piano starts playing on the stage as spotlights find their way to the New directions. Jake, Marley, Unique, Ryder, Kitty sing sing solemnly.

Later that day, the group had reconvened at the Glee club. Mr. Schue had gone up to a board to write the most important Glee assignment yet: 'FINN'.
Mr. Schue sighed. "I'm really glad so many of you could make it back for this."
"We wouldn't miss it for anything, Mr. Shue." Mike said.
"The funeral was for everyone, but I wanted to do something just for us. To memorialize him the only way we know how. by singing." He sighed. "All week long. Anyone who wants to can come up and sing." He sat with everyone. "Maybe a song he sung, maybe something that reminds you of him."
"Singing isn't going to bring him back." Puck mentioned
Mr. Schue turned to Puck. "No, it's not. Nothing is. Not ever. But, for two minutes or so, we can all maybe remember the best parts of him. So, think of what you want to sing, if you want to sing, and we'll start tomorrow."
"Oh, I-I can't wait until tomorrow, Mr. Schue." Mercedes said as she stood up. "I've been bawling for three weeks. If I don't get this all out now, I don't think I'll ever stop crying."
The Glee coach nods. "Sure, Mercedes. Start us off."
"Wait. Before you start singing... who are those guys?" Jake said pointing to Rory and Matt.
"Oh, I'm Rory Flanagan. I'm from Ireland." Rory introduces himself.
"Yeah, he was here last year, before you or Kitty or the others even got here." Joe informs.
"Sugar's ex?" Jake asks.
"Sugar's ex." he confirms.
"Okay what about him?" he stares at Matt
"I have no idea." Joe shakes his head. Matt steps forward next to Mercedes.
"Um, hi. For those of you who don't know me I'm Matt Rutherford. I'm one of the original 12 members of Glee club. I was only here for the first year, but after regionals I transfered to another school. After I graduated I started looking for dancing jobs to do while I'm in college. Then I found out Mercedes had a record deal and I started working as a dancer to some of her songs."
"He was with me when I heard about Finn." Mercedes told everyone as she put a hand on Matt's shoulder as he looks down.
"...I never got to say goodbye. I only had so much time to spend before I left. I don't have a lot of memories about Finn, and I regret not being able to make one ever again. That's why I'm here. To make more memories with you guys that I can never make with Finn." This lightens the mood a little bit.
Mercedes then steps forward. "Okay, back to my song. I, uh, remember Finn telling me that he sang this song to his baby's sonogram. Well, he thought it was his baby. He was the first cool kid to be nice to any of us, and he was... our leader in here." She looks up. "We love you, Finn."
"Um, actually Mercedes, I was wondering if I could sing this with you." Matt questioned.
"You can sing?" Tina asks.
"I've been working on it for a while."
"Of course you can sing with me Matt." She said causing a smile. They then look to the group and music starts playing. Mercedes starts singing first.

Joe is walking down the halls with Kitty when he sees Rory just looking at his old locker. He tells Kitty to go without him and walks to Rory.
"Rory Flanagan." Joe greets with a smile before Rory turned to him and returned it. They then embraced and decided to catch up.
"When did you get here?" He asks.
"Just last week. I came for the funeral but stayed for this." Rory notifies Joe. "Nice haircut by the way."
"Thanks. So who are you staying with right now? Brittany?"
"Oh, no no. I'm staying with Sugar." Suddenly Joe's smile ceased as he looked surprised.
(Flashback)
"Rory?" Sugar looked to him shocked. "What are you doing here?"
"I came back as soon as I heard." Rory told her.
"Heard about what?" She asked.
"About Finn. Sam called me and told me everything. I had to come back so I decided to get another visa so I could come here for a few weeks. I was gonna sign myself to the Pierces but I heard Brittany left McKinley, but I also saw the Mottas were excepting foreign exchange kids... I had to see you first." He told her.
"Um, well it's good to see you." Sugar said nervously.
"So I was hoping..." Sugar looks to him curiously. "Are you gonna be okay with me staying here? I swear it's only a couple weeks."
"U-um, yeah. Yeah that's okay?" Sugar said as she looks down.
"Thank you." He goes to hug her but she steps back giving him an idea. He then walks away to another room.
(Flashback end)
"So, you just showed up at Sugar's door and told her you came for Finn?"
"Um yeah. I did."
"Is there any other reason you came back?"
Rory sighed. "I thought there was. I thought maybe I could make up with Sugar but... what's the point?"
"The point is that you shouldn't live your life with regrets. It's what Matt was saying, it's what Finn was trying to do. You need to talk to her and even if it means she won't be with you again, you can at least try to make the slate clean."
Rory started tearing up and turned to Joe. "That's the thing Joe. I have so many regrets. I regret lying to Brittany about being a leprechaun. I regret sing 'Home' in Glee club. I regret leaving without saying goodbye. I regret losing Sugar... I regret not saying goodbye to Finn. I just feel so lonesome."
"Then get your feelings out the only way we know how." Joe said. Rory understands completely
The next day they all gather to listen to Rory's Finn song.
"I've been thinking a lot about Finn these past 3 weeks. It's made me feel really lonely. Last time I felt lonely, Brittany was my only friend and I was pretending to be a Leprechaun so I could snog her." This causes a few chuckles. "Then Finn showed up. Then he became like a brother to me. So this song goes to my american brother and friend."
Rory:

{He then looks to Sugar as he sang this song, causing her to look away}

The audience claps for him while Sam, Artie, Tina, and Joe walk to him for a hug.
"I'm sorry." He apologizes
"It's okay." Tina responded
Kurt then stands in front of a dumpster with Finn's letterman jacket watching students decorate it in Finn's honor. Then Puck and Jake walk in to talk to him.
"What's with, uh, the Banksy loser parade?" Puck questions Kurt.
Kurt sighs "You're exhausting. You seriously don't recognize this Dumpster?"
Puck looks at it and starts to figure it out. "Oh, yeah." He said.
"Um, what are you guys talking about?" Jake questions.
"Oh, I used to toss Kurt into that dumpster. It was before I joined Glee club."
"Okay?" Jake looked on to the dumpster. "He must've meant a lot to these people huh."
Kurt nods. "Yeah. Soon as Finn joined the Glee Club, being a loser, an outcast and a misfit, it all became okay." He explains. He walks away but Puck grabs his shoulder to stop him.
"Hey, give me that jacket. Seriously, I'll pay you for it. I'm sure you have a whole room full of mementos. I got nothing to remember him by." Puck reasons but Kurt shakes his head.
"Well, you can't have this." Kurt said.
"That jacket is reserved for people who earned it. I'm not gonna let you bedazzle it with glitter and turn it into some Project Runway shawl!" Puck yells.
"So what are you gonna do, beat me up and take it from me? Throw me in a Dumpster? You can't have it." He then walks away.
Jake turns to his older brother. "Look bro, I get it. I don't have anything to remember Finn by either. But what I do have is the people he knew. You do too. Maybe we can ask Kurt for something else." Puck just glares at him.
"You think you're so special with your little girlfriend, and happy life? Well guess what? You're just the same pathetic kid who tried to copy me in his first day.
Jake stares at him. "That may be true. But at least when I'm mad I don't just take it out on other people. Especially my brother. Don't hate on my for trying to help. Now I gotta go. Glee club is gonna do another song for Finn. I gotta be there with my "little girl friend". You can come to when you snap out of this." With that, Jake walked away leaving his brother in anger.
Sam starts playing his guitar in the auditorium while the Glee club watches.. He looks to Artie and gestures him to start.
Artie:

I walked out this morning and I wrote down this song

{Joe turns to look at the two as he sings along.}

"So, should we all just go?" Sam asks.
"Actually there is one song I wanted to sing for Finn." Ryder stands up. "I was gonna use this for my grease audition but Finn and I had already done Jukebox Hero. I want to sing it now so I can remember when I first met Finn, and when he showed me the path that I always needed but never knew I wanted.
{The music begins and he starts his song.}
Ryder:

Once the song ends Unique gets up and offers him a hug which he accepted.
"Thank you." Ryder whispers.
"Thanks for the song." Unique responded.
They come to the choir room to hear Santana sing.
"Okay, I know that Finn had his doubts about God, but I am convinced that Squishyteets is up in Heaven right now, plopped down next to his new best friend Fat Elvis, helping themselves to a picnic of baby back ribs smothered in butterscotch pudding and tater tot grease, so, this is for you, Hudson." This causes everyone to look at each other with raised eyebrows.
Santana:

Santana starts crying to her elbow mid-song causing the band to stop playing. Mr. Schue and Mike stand up to give Santana a comforting hug, but she starts to yell and run away. This causes Kurt and Brittany to follow.
"You okay?" Kurt said as he and Brittany walk towards Santana in the auditorium. "You sang beautifully."
"I couldn't do it." Santana claimed.
"Come on Santana. There was like only one more chorus." Brittany tries to cheer her up.
"No, not the song. I had this whole plan to surprise everyone and not be a bitch for once in my life and say all these nice things about Finn, and then, at the last minute, I chickened out. I even wrote them all down." She said as she pulled out a piece of paper with a set of writing.
"Would you read it to us?" Kurt asked.
"No, I can't. It's too embarrassing. They're, like, really nice." She said ashamed of being nice.
"If there's one thing I've learned from Finn dying, it's that shame is a wasted emotion. I'm sure Finn had secrets, too, but who cares now? Do you really think, one day, on your deathbed, you're gonna think, "Oh, good, no one knew I was kind?"
"Yeah, and besides maybe if you can go through with it with us you'll feel better. I'm sure Finn would've loved to hear it." Brittany said.
"Okay." Santana agrees and opens the folded paper, and starts reading. "When we had sex, Finn never stopped asking me if I was okay the whole time, and he meant it. One time, Becky Jackson left a piece of chocolate birthday cake on my chair, and when I sat on it, it looked like I had pooped my pants, and, so, Finn walked behind me until I could get out of school so no one saw my chocolate butt and thought that I had messed myself."
"Yeah, you would've never lived that one down." Kurt laughs.
"No. He was a much better person than I am." Santana said.
"That is true." Kurt said bluntly which causes Brittany to punch him in the arm. "But, Finn really cared about you. And I don't think he would've done all those things if he didn't think you were decent, too.
"That's why no matter what happens, he'll always be there for you. Up in heaven with all the other angels. Like Gabriel. And Elvis. And Jesus." Brittany said.
"Jesus wasn't an angel." Kurt corrected her.
"Oh."
"Can you two leave, please?" Santana asked nicely which they obliged. Brittany gave Santana one last hug before leaving, and Kurt gave her Finn's jacket to comfort her. She later goes to lay down and grief with the jacket folded on a table, but when she was done she noticed the Jacket was gone. She knew there was only one culprit.
Later, back in the choir room, the group rounds up again to hear Kurt's song, then Pucks.
"I loved Finn so much. He was my brother. We never really had much in common, and... we even fought that one time..., but I'll always remember the good times we had. When Finn sang at our parents wedding. When He saved me from bullies while dressed as Lady gaga." This put some smiles in some faces, though short-lived. "This was Finn's first song, when he auditioned for Glee club. Anyway, this is for you Finn." Kurt wiped his face of tears as music began playing.
Kurt:

After the song Will congratulated Kurt for his bravery before he was guided to his seat by Blaine and Santana.

After the song they all gathered to group hug Puck which he greatly appreciated.
"I love you guys." He said. Suddenly Santana marched in in anger.
"Where is it, Puckerman?" She asked.
"It's just a tree. I told Beiste I'd put it back." He responded.
"No, not the tree. Finn's jacket. I went for a lie-down in the nurse's office, hung it up on the coat rack by her door, and when I woke up from my grief siesta, it was gone. I know you took it. We all know you took it." Santana said.
"I didn't take a jacket." Puck defended.
"If we were rounding up the usual suspects, that would pretty much just be you." Artie mentioned.
"I didn't take Finn's jacket!"
"Enough! Please! No fighting this week." Mr. Schue defuses the situation quickly just before the bell rings.
After getting a talking to from Mr. Schue he gets another one from his brother and Marley.
"Did you really take it?" Jake asks.
"No." Puck assures.
"Good. I believe you." Puck looks to him surprised. "When have you ever lied? Listen man I know our last conversation was... rough.
"I'm sorry about that."
"It's cool. We're still brothers and brothers help each other."
"We're gonna help you find the jacket thief." Marley said as she leaned to Jake as he wrapped his arm around her shoulder.
"Okay we need to come up with a better name for that later, but for now, let's investigate." They all smile at this.
The Glee club gather at Finn's memorial to each put down red tied drumsticks to symbolize him for his drumming skills. All the couples and Ryder with Unique(platonically) leaned to each other as they looked at the memorial. Rory came along to watch.
"This is sort of cheesy." Kitty said. Before anyone could respond they heard a voice.
It was Rachel's "No, it's beautiful. I just had to see it."
They all meet up to listen to Rachel's most important solo.
"Nobody treat me with kid gloves, okay? I don't know what to say, either. I loved Finn, and... he loved me, and he loved all of you guys. I know he did. I like to sing in the car and, um... and before Finn, I used to sing alone... and this was the first song that I... sang with him when we would... drive around together, so this is for him."

Puck decides it's time for him to take off and Jake sees him off.
"So you're taking off already?" Jake questions him.
"Yep, I've gotta head back to L.A. Too bad we never solved the mystery."
"I THINK I SOLVED THE MYSTERY" Marley runs to talk to them.
"Wait really? Who did it?" Jake questions Marley.
"It was Mr. Schue." She claimed.
"Wait, how do you know." Puck asked
"Well, I found it odd that he just stopped the argument so fast. He usually lets things play out for a little bit. I also saw him leaving with a beige fabric sleeve sticking out of his satchel.
"Damn! I should've known! I can't believe he would just pit the blame on me!" Puck said.
"Should we tell Santana?" Jake asks.
Puck sighs. "After everyone left Mr. Schue said we all want a piece of Finn to hold on to. While he was just talking about himself, I understand what he said. Let him keep it for a while. Thanks anyway Marley. If either of you end up in L.A. give me a call."
"Funny we're actually going to L.A. for nationals." Marley mentions.
"Great, we can all hang and have some breakfast." Puck suggested.
"That would be fun." Jake said.
"Ok, see you then half-bro with the afro." He said causing everyone to giggle as Puck got on his motorcycle and drove off as they waved goodbye to him.
Sugar, after saying bye to Artie drives herself home. She had a long week and just wants to relax. As she enters the living room, she sees Rory already there watching TV. She decided to stop beating around the bush.
"Hey, Rory." She greeted
Hey, Sugar. How are you feeling.
"I'm doing good. But I need to talk to you about something." Sugar walks to him and sits on the couch next to him.
"Okay. Shoot."
"Why did you come here?"
"Like I said, for Finn."
"Rory please, don't beat around the bush. Why are you here in this house? You could've gone to any other house. Maybe Kurt's dad would let you stay with him. You were close to Finn and they have Sam so it only makes sense."
Rory sighs. "I came here to apologize. I never should have lied to you. I never should've let you believe I was really leaving so you would date me. And I definitely shouldn't have left after you got mad at me."
"I actually think that part was my fault kinda."
None of it was your fault. I never wanted to hurt you but I did. And I have to live with that. I don't expect you to just forgive me like that but I just wanted to tell you that i'm sorry before I go. Joe told me to never have regrets, and while I will always regret lying to you, I will never regret our relationship, and I definitely don't want to regret not saying all this to you. I'll see you tomorrow. I'm going to be leaving in the weekend so I want to hang with Sam and the others before I go." As Rory goes to get up he is interrupted by a warm embrace from Sugar.
"I forgive you Rory." Sugar sobbed as Rory started crying as soon as he hugged back. "Do you think you could stay for the school year? We've been down a member since Brittany left for M.I.T. We need a new member and what's better than to get an old one."
"It would be an honor." Rory said with a smile as they ended their embrace. They then look at each other with a long lost emotion. Love. Rory then puts his hand on her cheek which she allows and they both lean into a kiss before Sugar pulls back and shakes her head.
"We can't." Sugar said.
"Why?" He asked.
"I'm with Artie now. I'm sorry but we can't be together. I'll see you in the morning. Good night Rory." She said as she walked away. Rory looked down in sadness but then looked up with a determination he's never had before.
"Game on Artie. Game on." Rory whispers.
"What was that?!" Sugar asked from a distance having heard him slightly.
"Nothing!" Rory quickly said.
The next week Mr. Schue comes in with an announcement.
"Okay everyone, before we start this week I would like to announce that we finally have 12 members for Nationals!" After that everyone cheered.
"Wait how? With Ryder that makes 11. Brittany's still gone."
"That's true Tina but we have someone joining us today. Everyone give a warm welcome to Drumroll Ryder." As Ryder does a drumroll Mr. Schue tells them the new members name. "Rory Flanagan."
And with that Rory enters the room with a smile and everyone's excited to see him.
"Thank you so much for accepting me back sir. Also to the new people I'm very excited to get to know the rest of you."
Joe walks up to him to shake his hand. "Good to have you back buddy.
Sam follows up "Yeah man, we're gonna have so much fun together. We've got to talk about this past year. We did auditions which people liked. Marley did a Billy Joel song. Jake joined. We did Grease..."
