It was December second Xavier and Koharu were sitting at the bench near a fountain after they completed all the quest and earned lots of money to build up their equipment. Koharu sighs with her eyes closed before Xavier notices.

"Something wrong?" He asked.

"It's nothing Xavier," Koharu replied. "I was just thinking of how long we've been here."

"Yeah I know, it's two months now and we're still at floor one" Xavier agreed as well in the depression.

It's been two months since they were trapped by Kayaba and now they have to clear all one hundred floors to free every player. Unfortunately, things haven't been well, no one has found any dungeon bosses and every player has already died to two thousand.

As Koharu looks down before her stomach grumbles causing her to blush on her cheeks.

"Look at me your stomach is empty" Xavier sneered.

"Why would someone get hungry when we're in VR! What kind of person puts that system!?" Koharu hollered with blushes.

Xavier smiled a bit seeing how Koharu reacted. "Hhhhmmmmmm!" Then he heard someone laughing nearby as he turned and saw a petite girl with black hair that goes the length of her shoulders, and gray eyes. She wears a light blue tunic with dark green lines on her neck and waist, a black mini skirt, a blue chestguard, and long black boots. "I'm I disturbing you?" she asked them.

Koharu stops with her arm up and looks at that girl. "Did….did you heard all of that?" she asked her while embarrassed.

"I'm sorry for laughing," the girl apologizes to Koharu. "My name is Sachi, it's nice to meet you" she introduced to them with a smile.

Opening Mamori Tsunagu by Rin Akastuki

(Mamoritsunagu ima to mirai tatakau kara) The scene started when a silhouette stood there revealing to be Xavier who opened his eyes before he started glowing with aurora surrounding him. The camera backed up as it showed the view of Aincrad when the title appeared.

(Unmei no hate ni kasuka hikaru tomoshibi hitostu) Xavier was standing in the middle of the plaza with the camera circling around before the area changed into a snowy mountain as he looked at the sky and reached out his hand.

(Boku wa kimi o mimamora dake sore dake de ii) this scene shows Koharu on the ground wrapped around in sadness before standing up and reaching her hand out to the camera.

(Furetara ikenai. Koko o yaiba ni shite) this scene shows all the monsters in one room with their eyes glowing red. Then carema now changes to a split screen with Agil holding his long axe on the left, Liz with her mace on the right before changing the scene focusing on Sachi who was facing the camera with her hands together. This scene shows a forest elf, then the scene changes to a fallen elf. The camera backed to a young man with black hair with dark purple aura surrounding him.

(Mamoritsunagu ima to mirai boku wa sou kimi no gaadian) Each scene shows unleashing their skills. Asuna straight stabs with her rapier, Klein swings to the left with his sword, then Kirito jumps down swinging his sword downwards. This scene focuses on Xavier as he and Koharu charge through horrid monsters and beat them all.

(Kokoro ni saku ga aa. Musuu no owari no imi o oshieteru) this scene Xavier facing off the young man with black hair as they swing their sword deflecting their attack before the two pass through and glares at each other.

(Kimi to boku no shijiru michi o yukunda. Asu no tame ni) Koharu and Xavier staring at each other as they both smile and reach out their hands towards each other when the final scene shows a sword and dagger laying on the grass near each other.

"Hi, my name is Koharu and this is Xavier, nice to meet you" Koharu greeted as she introduced herself and Xavier. "So what are you doing here?"

"I'm just waiting for my guild to come back, they're trying to earn more money" Sachi replied to them.

"Where is your guild, shouldn't you be with them?" Xavier wondered.

"Well….to tell you the truth, I'm not that strong, and I would let the other fall behind because of me. I'm nothing but a burden" Sachi said sadly as she looked at the ground feeling.

Koharu frowned as she felt bad and decided to make her happy. "D-Don't say that just take it slow, it's only natural to be scared anyway," she said to her.

"But aren't you scared too?" Sachi asked.

"Of course I am, I was terrified when this death game began" Koharu looks down at the ground, remembering everything that happened ever since she was trapped in this VR. "But I have a friend to make me feel better, and so do you."

Sachi was quite amazed by what Koharu said and she smiled. "Your right, thanks," she said to her. "Here I bought these sandwiches at the market, I thought I would share it with my friends but you two want some?"

"Okay!" Koharu replied.

With that, Sachi offers Koharu and Xavier some sandwiches as they eat together while having a conversation.

"Is there anything I can help you with after giving us sandwiches?" Koharu asked Sachi.

"Well my friends are in the plain field, but they're having trouble with a monster they never saw," Sachi explained to them.

"Then me and Xavier will gather enough info for you and your friends!" Koharu declared, making Sachi very happy.

But for Xavier, he groaned as he didn't agree with this.

At the Plain Fields, the two were fighting the monsters as they gathered more info for Sachi, Xavier swung down his sword slashing the monster Little Nepenthes as it swings its vines, he dodges it before charges up and swings a downwards slash causing the Little Nepenthes to disappeared in pixelated.

"Why am I doing, I didn't ask to help her" Xavier complained as he didn't agree.

"Well, who gave us sandwiches when we're hungry" Koharu pointed out to him.

"Point taken, but mostly you were hungry" Xavier sighs. "Anyways, who many more?"

"Just a couple of more and then will be back with Sachi," Koharu said as they kept going around the Plain Fields.

After minutes had passed Koharu and Xavier gathered enough info for Sachi and headed back to town as they rested. Once they were there Sachi was there as Koharu gave her the info she needed.

"Thank you so much, Koharu," she said happily.

"No problem, I'm sure that the info we gathered will come in handy for your friends," Koharu said while Xavier sat down on a bench. Then Sachi and Koharu saw four people waving as Sachi recognized them.

"It's them, see you Koharu," Sachi said before heading up to her friends.

"I hope we can meet each other again," Koharu calls out as Sachi waves at her and joins up with her friends.

"Next time, don't drag me with you when someone asks" Xavier grunted laying back against the wall.

"Come on Xavier, at least be happy that we help someone. Besides, this could be a way to talk to people, like Kirito, Klein and me" Koharu huffed.

"Not much of a people person, more like the lone wolf-like" Xavier said with his arms crossed and eyes closed.

"Then you should start being more active to others," Koharu said, pointing her finger at Xavier with a serious expression.

"Ah ha ha ha!" Then they heard someone laughing nearby, it revealed to be Argo as she approached them.

"Oh, it's you" Xavier growled.

"Come on, after all, I gave you lots of info I have and this is how you greeted me" Argo snickered.

Koharu sighs as she can't believe Xavier but looks at Argo with a smile. "Hi Argo, sorry about him, we're still working on his communication" Xavier grumbled at what she said.

"Nice to meet you too Koharu," Argo greeted her. "Now then there's something interesting that I think you might be interested in."

This got Xavier's attention as he walked up to her. "Alright, what's the info you have for us then," he asked.

"Well, there's going to be a meeting at Tolbana, saying they're going to find and beat the floor one boss" Argo explained.

"You mean they found the floor one boss?" he asked.

"I only know what everyone is talking about for information, but if you want to know, go to Tolbana and find out for yourself. If you're interested in it" Argo said.

Xavier thinks this through before looking at Koharu with a determined expression, she nodded as he decided to go with it. "Alright let's get to that meeting.'

Xavier and Koharu now head towards Tolbana where a meeting is happening over there, they walk through the Plain Field and finally make it to their location.

Once they entered, Xavier and Koharu all of the players made it for the meeting.

"Look how many there are" Koharu muttered to Xavier as she can't believe players had come here.

After hours, they all headed on a stage as they all sat down, Xavier looked around before he spotted someone familiar. It was Kirito as he was also here just when Koharu noticed him here.

"Wow, even Kirito is here too, maybe we should see him," Koharu suggested.

For Xavier, he remembered back what Kirito said when they last saw each other right after Kayaba's announcement to everyone. He wondered how Kirito was doing after two months just then a man called out to everyone's attention with his hand clapping.

That man has blue long bangs hair and blue eyes. He wears blue clothing, white pants, long brown boots, with bronzed armour chest, shoulder pads, vambrace, and greaves. On his back are a kite shield and a large longsword on his left side of his waist.

"Okay people, now that everyone's here, let's get this meeting started," he said to all of the players. "So anyway, I wanna thank anyone for coming, good to see you."

"My name is Diavel," he introduced himself. "And in this game, the job I role is knight."

Then all of them burst into laughter when the job role himself is a knight.

"Dude, there's no job system in this game!"

Xavier on the other hand was staring at Diavel as he kind of felt like he met him before.

"Do you guys wanna hear this or not?" the man known as Diavel said as all the players stopped laughing and listened, Diavel now got a serious expression and spoke up. "Right, anyway here's the deal, our party found the boss room at the top of the tower today" this got everyone surprised when he said that.

"Someone found the boss room?" Koharu gasped.

"First we need to defeat the boss and make it to floor two, the next step is we have to tell everyone waiting at the Town of Beginnings that it is possible to beat this game! Fact is, it's our duty as the most capable players here, do you agree, or not!" he said out loud.

Some of the players think of this before all of them clap their hands and applaud and whistle to Diavel.

Koharu smiled and clapped as well but Xavier didn't as he felt like he met him from somewhere.

"Okay, glad you're all with me on this one. Now, let's figure out how we're gonna defeat the boss" Diavel said to all of them. "First off, we'll team up in parties of six. A topical party doesn't stand a chance against a floor boss. We need a raid group made out of multiple parties."

Soon everyone was formed into a party as murmured to themselves of a strategy, a plan, Xavier and Koharu were the only ones that didn't talk to anyone.

"I guess it's just the two of us," Koharu said to him.

But Xavier didn't reply as he watches Kirito who was struggling to look for a party but it doesn't seem to have one. "Maybe we should invite him to our party," he suggested.

But then he noticed as he turned and saw a girl wearing a red hooded cloak and scoot to her.

"Looks like we're too late," Xavier said.

"Well, at least he has someone with him" Koharu was relieved to see Kirito partnering with someone.

All of the players were paired up and formed a party as they were ready for the boss as Diavel was about to speak up. "Alright, looks like everyone's teamed up, now then-."

"Hold up a sec!" Then someone disturbs Diavel as everyone looks up at the area where that voice is coming from before seeing a shadowing figure man stand up as jumps down, standing in front of everyone. He was but solid, his hair is spiky cactus style, sienna goatee, and brown eyes, wearing scale armour and a sheath sword on his back, as he turned around to all the players and spoke up. "My name's Kibaou got that!" He introduced himself. "Before we take on the boss I wanna get something off my chest! We all know that two thousand people die so far yeah! Well someone needs to apologize to them right now!" he shouted pointing his finger at the players.

This got everyone's attention as some don't know what he was talking about while a few knew. But Xavier and Koharu look worried as they know why as well as Kirito who all of them were worried and guilty.

Then Diavel spoke up as he knew what Kibaou knew what he was talking about. "Kibaou, I think I know what you're referring to. You mean the ones that are ex-beta testers, right?" he asked.

"Of course I mean them!" Kibaou shouted. "The day this stupid ass game started the beta guys up and vanished, right? They ditch all us beginners! They snagged all the good hunting spots, and they grabbed all the easy quests too, they were the only ones getting stronger in here. This whole time they ignore us like we're nothing!" Then he turns around to the players and shouts out loud. "Hell I bet there's some of them here, come on out beta tester!

"We should make them apologize to us, and they should give up all of their money and the items they got, we can't expect a party to trust them when they don't trust us, why should we!" This anxiety causes Kirito, Xavier, and Koharu to struggle with what Kibaou said is true. All they were thinking was to survive in this world but never thought of others.

"Two hundred die, because of us" Koharu muttered in sorrow as she felt all the players die in this game.

For Xavier, he clutches his and grits his teeth of what Kibaou accusing to those who are ex-beta testers as he was about to stand up and talk up to that player.

"Can I say something" then someone spoke up as everyone now looked at a massive and muscular black skin who looks like African-American, bald, two silver earrings on the left, wearing a chest plate sleeveless white shirt, brown pants and fur boots, and on his back is a battle axe. He walks up to Kibaou as he is a bit nervous about how tall he is. "Hey, name Agil," he introduced himself to him, "Kibaou right? I wanna make sure I'm on the same page. You said the ex-beta tester should apologize for the Rockies' deaths because they didn't help, and you want them to apologize and give up their winnings. I leave anything out?"

"No, you didn't," Kibaou replied.

Agil pulls out and shows him a small brown book. "The item still hands these out for free, it's a guide book, you got one did you?"

"Sure I got them, so what about it?" he wondered.

"You know who's handing these out, the ex-beta testers" this got everyone surprised by what he said, Kibaou glared at him as Agil turned around to all the players. "Listen up, everyone had equal access to this information. Even so, lots of players die. I didn't come here and point fingers at anyone, I'm here because I wanna learn of those players' deaths, I'm here because I wanna find out how we're gonna beat the boss."

He reminded everyone why they're here in the first place as they murmured and agreed with what Agil said Xavier, Koharu, and Kirito were relieved. Agil turns around looking at Kibaou as he didn't say anything, he grunts, walking back and sits down in his seat.

Then Diavel spoke up once more. "Okay, can we get back to the meeting, please," he said everyone agreed and listened? "For info on the boss, it's all in here. The latest issue on the guide book you just heard about" he shows the guide book that Agil reminded as this got everyone's attention. "According to the book the boss's name is 'Illfang the Kobold Lord', also he'll be surrounded by his minions 'the Ruin Kobold Sentinels'" Diavel reads the guide book out loud for everyone to listen. "Illfang carries an axe and a buckler, he has four health bars, and the last one turns red he switches to a curved sword type weapon called the Talwar. He can change his pattern of attacks too."

Everyone murmured after listening to that Diavel close the guide book and faces up to everyone. "That's it for the briefing, as the distribution of loot, the money will be divided equally among everyone, the party that defeats the boss keeps the exp. And whoever gets the item gets to keep it" he explained. "Now any objections?" Diavel asked as no one spoke his question. "Good! We leave tomorrow at ten in the morning. Meeting adjourned, people!"

Everyone gets up and gathers up to the front as Diavel greeted one of them as Kibaou joined in and apologized to Diavel he forgave him for his disturbance.

"Well, I guess that's it then," Koharu said standing up and walking away from Xavier as he just stood there, she looked down at the ground frowning.

But as Xavier watches her leaving when unknown to him Diavel is staring at him from far away and suddenly notices something off about him.

Nighttime comes as everyone is gathering with Diavel to have a group party together, Xavier was walking up to Koharu as she still looks frowning, he approaches her. "Koharu, is everything alright?" he asked her.

"Yeah, I'm fine" Koharu replied but she wasn't fine.

"You're thinking about all the players that died so far, isn't it" Xavier guessed.

"I guess" She replied as he was right when all of the players died in this game, thinking she should have done something and saved them.

"It doesn't matter what happens to all players, all we tried to do was to survive here and nothing else," Xavier said.

Koharu lets out a sigh before looking down at the ground. "I wish things were different, if there is someone out who can save everyone, and maybe that person can change this whole game, I wanna talk to Kirito" Koharu then left as she headed to Kirito now.

As Xavier was alone he thought of what Koharu said before looking at the sky and seeing the stars.

"Excuse me" then he heard someone nearby and saw Diavel standing in front of him. "Can I talk to you?" He asked.

Koharu was walking down an alleyway when she saw Kirito and the red-cloaked girl there just when he noticed her.

"Koharu?"

"Hey Kirito" she responded and walked up to him.

"I'm guessing that you're gonna join in as well as Xavier too," Kirito said. "Speaking of Xavier, where is here?" He wondered.

"He's here and we're just the two in the party of our own" Koharu said before noticing the red-cloaked girl. "Hi, I'm Koharu," she greeted her, the red-cloaked girl just didn't say anything and ate her bread.

"The two of us are just here for the boss," Kirito said.

"You know me and Xavier thought I should join up with us since we know each other and are also thankful for teaching me," Koharu said to him.

Kirito smiled and solace his hand on her head. "Don't worry, I'll be fine," he said. "Besides if we can clear this floor will head to floor two."

"Right!" Koharu said excitedly.

"Hey, can I talk to you something" then the red-cloaked girl spoke up as this got Koharu surprised?

"Uh, okay" Koharu replied as she listened.

"When this death game started, were you scared?" she asked her.

"Well, I was" Koharu admitted as she thought back when Kayaba made his announcement. "Everything that happens on that day, it frightens me. When I saw what happened to all those other players, they weren't bleeding, did they die" she said, remembering all of the players disappeared right in front of her eyes.

The red-cloaked girl looks at her when Koharu looks down at the ground frowning, she knows that feeling of being scared. "So do you want to stay in your room?" she asked.

"No, I don't wanna stay in bed, I want to become stronger so that can go back to the real world. Even though it's my first time playing a game, I still want to go back" Koharu said as the red-cloaked girl was surprised to hear that.

"It's alright if there's something I would say I'd rather stay in the last moment even if a monster beats me and I die, I won't lose, so don't die tomorrow," the red-cloaked girl said as Koharu just stared at her.

"Don't worry Koharu, I just hope that there'll be zero casualties" Kirito hopes for at least one player doesn't die tomorrow.

As they all thought of tomorrow's boss.

if you remember me in the meeting my name is Diavel" he reintroduced to him after the meeting.

"I'm Xavier" Xavier introduces his anime to him.

"So anyway, I just wanna say I'm glad for you to join," Diavel said to Xavier.

"I'm not exactly sure of me being in this raid," Xavier said as he wasn't here.

"I see" Diavel nodded. "By the way, there's something else I wanna talk to you."

"Alright what is it?" Xavier wondered.

Diavel let out a deep breath and said to him. "You're an ex-beta tester as well?" he asked.

This got Xavier speechless as he was shocked to hear that. "And if I am," he said.

"So am I" Xavier gasped when he heard that Diavel was a beta tester too. "Look I've been higher than floor two and stay here to help others. But what Kibaou said, he was right. When this death game started….I….I should've helped as well, but I couldn't protect everyone as I thought to myself, what if saving someone meant someone died." Xavier listened to him as this was exactly what Koharu said. "I couldn't take it anymore all of the deaths, burden, running, so I decided to unite all of the top players and clear this floor, and reach to the next level, that what I why I'll lead us to victory and clear all of the floors, and save everyone that is my purpose, to save everyone, even if I die."

After that Diavel left and headed back to the group, Xavier thought to himself as he wondered to himself after hearing Diavel and Koharu said. "Saving everyone, is that true" he wondered.

"Xavier, is something wrong?" Koharu returns from Kirito and the red-cloaked girl looks concerned for her partner.

"Don't worry, I'm fine, I'll tell you," he said as Koharu blinked in confusion.

(The Next Day)

Everyone gathered together as it was time for all of them to head to the dungeon and beat the boss to clear this floor.

Xavier lets out a yawn when they wake up early so that he and Koharu can join in right away. "Man, I'm so tired" he moaned before noticing that Koharu was frowning. "Hey, is everything alright?' he asked.

"I'm….actually thinking I should just go back" this surprised him. "I mean, I promise Sachi that we will meet each other, but…." she doesn't know if she can make it just like she promised to Sachi.

Then she felt someone touch her head and see Xavier patting her. "Don't worry, you'll live, just stick with me" Xavier said as Koharu stared at him with blushes on her cheeks.

Once every player was at a large door where the boss is, Diavel stood his sword and shield on the ground and stood in front of everyone.

Listen up everyone, I only got one thing to say to you," Diavel said standing in front of everyone. "Let's win!" he said with a face that knows they can win, it got everyone ready. "Come on" he led the way and first opened the door to the boss room.

As he unsheathes his sword behind his back, Xavier felt a tug on his sleeve and saw Koharu.

"Xavier?" She asked him before looking down at the ground with a frowning expression. "Just so you know, I'll protect you no matter! Even though I'm not that brave, I'm scared. But I'll do my best!" Koharu said, determined with her hands clutching.

Xavier looked at Koharu before he chuckled. "Y'know, that was supposed to be my line, but try not to fall!" He teases at her

"Not this again! I told you not to mention it!" Koharu pouted as Xavier chuckled.

Once everyone steps in the room it is dark as they can't see a thing until the room lights up, a large red monster two-meter tall, muscular, a tail, copper-red eyes, in its hand is a shield and an axe. This is Illfang the Kobold Lord.

Appearing is a group of armour human-size monsters with a big red tail, long ears sticking out of their helmet, they are holding a mace in their hands as their weapon. They are the Ruin Kobold Sentinels.

"Commence attack!" Diavel orders, with all the Player charges at the boss and his guards with a battle cry, begin to fight to clear this floor.

Running down at one Kobold Sentinel, Xavier and Koharu run down towards it with their weapons out. "Okay Koharu, let's do this!" Xavier hollered.

"Right!" She nodded out loud.

Xavier swung deflected the Kobold Sentinel club he pushed back it back and charged in swinging his sword to the right. "Ready Koharu!" He shouted before Koharu nodded in response.

"Switch!"

He switches with her as Koharu charges in and stabs the Sentinel in the chest with her knife, but the Sentinel roared causing Koharu to flinch, she loses focus letting it free and swings its club downwards while she stands there with eyes widened with horror. But Xavier charges in and swings his sword and pierce the Sentinel in the chest with his blade through it before the Sentinel disappears in pixelation, Xavier kneels to see if she is alright.

"You alright?" he asked before giving her a potion to heal herself, she nodded frowning before shivering in fear. "Are you about this, you being here?"

"I know, but I promise Sachi that I'll meet her on the next floor," she said before clutching her hands tiling her head down before looking back up at him. "So I'll keep getting stronger with you!" she said determinedly.

"Okay, just wondering" Xavier nodded as the two see the one Sentinel heading this way, they nodded before charging in both of their weapons and slashes the Sentinel before turning around as Xavier swing his sword downwards while Koharu swings her dagger to the left causing the Sentinel to groan and disappeared in pixelation.

"Let's keep this going," Xavier said to her as she nodded.

"Right!" Koharu agreed.

Meanwhile, with the other players who are dealing with the Boss Illfang as it roars out loud its health bar reaches down to the red zone, it tosses his shield and axe away.

"Looks like the guide book was right" a man who is built up his hair is spiky cactus style, sienna goatee, and brown eyes, and wearing scale mail armour wielding a sword.

"Stand back" they all heard Diavel's voice coming this way as he passed through them. "I got it!"

Xavier was just slashing one of the Sentinels when he noticed Diavel was coming in as he remembered that the plan was to surround Illfang. But he was not the only one as Kirito also watches this.

Diavel put his shield up and he was about to finish off Illfang, it pulled out a sword from behind. This causes the two boys to be shocked as the sword is pulled out is a Nodachi, instead of the sword it was supposed to have is a talwar, it's not exactly like the beta.

"Wait stop!" Kirito hollered out to stop him. "It no good! Gets out of there!"

But Diavel didn't hear him as he charged towards taking down Illfang, it jumped up onto a pillar and launched itself fast one after another. Diavel tries to follow it as Illfang lands down, swinging his Nodachi downwards slashing Diavel across his chest.

Xavier was shocked to see Diavel screams with that large slash, Illfang was about to swing it one more time, he looked around and saw that no one in this room could reach him. But he can as Xavier charges in, he put his sword up and deflected Illfang attack, and held his ground.

"Diavel you idiot hurry I don't know how long I can hold!" Xavier growled while holding his ground at Illfang off.

But then Kirito comes in and straight stab Illfang as it deflected making Xavier a chance as he carried Diavel on the shoulder and moved somewhere safe while Kirito distracted Illfang.

"The formation has been broken! Retreat!"

Xavier lays Diavel on the ground and gives him some potion to heal up. "Diavel what were you thinking, that could've killed you back there," Xavier said to him.

"I'm sorry, for the moment I thought I had it," Diavel said before looking at the ground frowning. "But it looks like it's completely different."

"I know" Xavier agreed as he looked down clutching his fist before he punched on the growled. "What the hell was that, Illfang was supposed to have a talwar, not a Nodachi! Unless he changes it! Damn him!"

"Xavier," heard a sobbing voice, he tailored his head up and saw Koharu with tears coming out of her eyes. "I'm sorry!" She sobbed before hugging with her face on his shirt. "I just stood there and let you leap in and save Diavel! He almost died because of me! I was so scared to lose you as well! You were right, shouldn't have come here."

Xavier was speechless at what Koharu said and let out a sigh before he patted her on the head to calm her down. "Don't say that, I'll be fine, when I have you around I'll be stronger" he smiled at her.

"Who am I kidding, that's just an excuse for my own, but the way I see her cry makes me wonder if I'll ever be stronger to protect her?" Xavier thought with his eyes narrowed and clenched his fist. "Then maybe, if we're together, we can clear this game faster, I can be stronger enough, to protect her."

"What the hell were you thinking?!" Kirito questioned him after he almost died.

"I know I should've died there, but you know, you were a beta tester too, weren't you?" Diavel asked as this shocked Kirito of what he said and realized something about him.

"You were after the last attack bonus, the rare item. You're just like me a Beta tester" Kirito realizing Diavel is a Beta tester, just like Kirito, Xavier, and Koharu.

"Please, you have to beat the boss," Diavel tries to get up before he suddenly still got hurt from Illfang's attack as he sat back down, "I still can't get up, for everyone here. It looks like I was wrong, I failed to take down that boss."

Kirito thought when this VR popular game became a death game for all players the only thing he thought of is to survive and get back to the real, nothing else to him.

"Why would you say that after everything that you got!" Zavier hollered. "Look at this, you bought all together to beat clear the floor!"

"Hey, maybe you should calm down," Koharu suggested trying to calm him before Kirito spoke up.

"No he's right, you weren't like that Diavel, you never abandoned the other players, you brought them together, you let everyone and you fought brilliantly. You tried to accomplish something I couldn't do" he said, admitting everything that Diavel did for the other players.

He stands up and turns his head at the group as Illfang lets out a roar all of the other players just stood there doing nothing.

"Kirito," Kirito heard Xavier's voice and towards him. "I'm going with you."

Then a girl wearing a crimson red hooded cloak joins in as well. "I'll go too," she said.

"Okay," he replied as three-player stood together and ran down towards Illfang.

Koharu just stood there and watched them rushing towards the boss as she was worried, clutching her fist, she looked down at the ground trembling. "Why, can't I be brave like them…... I wish…..I'm brave."

"We'll hit him just like what we did to the minion," Kirito said.

"You got it" she agrees

As Xavier nodded.

The three charges towards Illfang Nodachi glowed, it roared as Kirito was the first to charge in with a battle cry he deflected its attack.

"Switch!" He hollered as he switched with the girl as she charged in with her rapier glowing, Kiroto spotted Illfang's eyes glowed red and shouted at her. "Asuna!"

She flinched as the girl known as Asuna was shocked, wondering who he knew her name when Illfang swung down the Nodachi Asuna dodge it but her cloak and disappeared were torn. But she kept going and pierced Illfang, blowing it away.

Kirito stares at her as she is now a young girl with long orange and brownish chestnut and hazed eyes. She wears a dark red leather tunic, a copper breastplate, a red skirt, leather white pants, and boots that go all the way to her knees.

He kept staring at her before noticing Illfang getting back up. "He's coming back!" Kirito hollered as he got up and managed to deflect its attack, Asuna charged in and impacted at the stomach.

But Illfang kept going as it roared, it charged towards Asuna, before Kirito showed up and deflected all of Illfang's attacks, he pushed it away and swung its Nodachi before Kirito deflected. However swings he deflected Illflang swing change of its swing and swung upwards Kirito was shocked as he was about to get slash, Xavier appeared and deflected Illfang Nodachi.

He swings his sword to the left Illfang deflected and swings upwards but Xavier dodge and jumps onto a pillar before launching himself off as Illfang swings his Nodachi before missing him. Xavier kept dodging Illfang attacks from every direction Illfang swung it at him, he dodged its attacks before deflecting it with his sword.

"Wow, he's so active," Kirito was amazed.

"It's like he knows all of the attack patterns," Asuna agrees.

Koharu was amazed as well as she watched him taking on Illfang all by himself as Xavier deflected Illfang's sword, he pushed back as his sword started glowing preparing an attack and straight stab at Illfang. But then Illfang swings its Nodachi glows and swings it upwards shocking Xavier quickly deflected its attack, but it was too late as Illfang slashing at Xavier across his chest falling on the ground, his sword was shattered and disappeared.

Kobaru hesitated in horror as she saw her partner down, she stood there trembling and seeing her partner about to be killed, trying to get her dagger from her back.

Xavier sits up and tries to get up and sees Illfang standing in front of him and raising Nodachi and is about to slash him.

"NOOOO!" Koharu hesitated and charged towards Illfang and pierce it with her dagger. But Illfang blocks her attack with Nodachi, it roars out loud and blows Koharu away as Xavier catches her and falls on the ground with her on top of him.

Xavier gets up and sees her health bar dropping down as he is in the yellow zone.

"You okay?" he asked her.

"Yeah, I'm fine" she nodded.

Then a shadow appears on them as they look and see Illfang standing in front of them raising its Nodachi and swing it downwards at her. Koharu and Xavier just stood there as Koharu stood up on her feet with her dagger in her hand, Illfang swung its Nodachi downwards as she was about to deflect.

But all of sudden Kirito and Asuna both deflect Illfang, Agil appears and blocks its attack as Illfang slides down kneeling and hand holding on the ground.

With that some of the Players all charge towards Illfang once and for all.

"Hey, are two alright?" Asuna asked them.

"Yeah," Koharu answered.

"We're fine." Xavier also responds as they look at Agil.

"We can hold this bastard off until your health is back up," he asked Xavier.

"Sure" Xavier nodded as Agil went back to his group.

"Hey, do you have another weapon?" Kirito asked him.

"Um, yeah an Anneal Blade" he nodded.

"Get it faster, I don't know how long they will hold Illfang off," Kirito said as they see Agil and his group giving everything they have at the boss.

But Illfang swings it Nodachi around knocking all of them out before jumping up raising it Nodachi up glowing.

"Watch out!" Kirito warns them to get back up as he places his sword behind as it starts to glow, Illfang let out a roar and was about to slash at Agil and his group. "You're going down!" he exclaims before jumping up and slashes at Illfang, Xavier finally gets back up on his feet as he jumps up, swinging his sword downwards.

Illfang falls on the ground Kirito and Xavier landed and charges towards.

"Come Asuna! Help us beat that sucker! One last attack!" Kirito hollered at Asuna.

"You got it" she responded and charged towards Illfang.

"So am I!" Koharu hollered as she joined them.

All four players charge towards Illfang as it is getting back up, they all battle cry out loud, Illfang swing down it Nodachi, Xavier deflected with her dagger, then Asuna pierces with her rapier at Illfang, and Koharu swings her dagger to the right then, Illfang lets out a roar in a rage after Xavier, Asuna and Koharu.

"Now Kirito!" Xavier hollered at him.

As Kirito's sword glows he stabs Illfang at the stomach and swings it as hard as he could, he let out a cry slicing Illfang across its body to its head swinging his sword upwards making out a shockwave. Illfang lets out a roar up in the air as a blue light glows on the slashes, Illfang's entire body starts glowing before it vanishes into shattered pixelation.

"Is it…...over?" Xavier muttered.

As everyone was silent they all cheered out aloud finally defeat the boss of this floor, the word 'congratulation' appeared above them every Player was getting their exp.

Diavel was amazed by what he saw, as he got up on his feet again, Kirito knelt on the ground exhausted after finishing off the last attack before a menu popped in front of him and read it.

'You got the last attacking bonus!'

It popped up as the item was called a Coat of Midnight Xavier, Koharu Asuna, and Agil were with him.

"Nice job" Asuna complimented him.

"That was some fine swordsmanship, congratulations. Today's victory is all yours" Agil said to him.

"N-no" Kirito can't as he tries to deny it as every Player is cheering for him, applauding for beating the boss.

"Come on, you deserve it, that's all for what you did," Xavier said.

"He's right, you should be glad" Koharu encouraged him.

Kirito was looked down before Diavel walked up to him. "All of them are right," Diavel said, surprising Kirito as he knelt and placed his right hand on his chest. "This is something you accomplish as much as I did. Be fine when this floor is cleared."

"Well, I-."

"HOW COULD YOU!" Everyone stopped cheering as they turned towards the spiky player sitting on the ground.

"Kibaou?" Diavel muttered as he recognized him.

"Why'd you do it, huh? Why'd let Diavel die!"

"Let him die?" Kirito looks confused as well Xavier.

"That's what I said! Admittedly, you knew the technique the boss was going to use. You could have told us. Then Diavel would have stood a chance! He wouldn't have died back there!" Kibaou yelled out loud angrily at Kirito.

Xavier felt a vibe as he saw some of the players agreeing to what Kibaou said, this will not end well for them.

"Wait it's not like that! Not without a reason!" Diavel hollered as he tried to settle everyone down.

"No, there is a reason, I think I know why he knew! He used to be a Beta Tester, think about it! He knows the boss' attack patterns! He knows, and kept it from us!"

"And I bet he's not the only Beta tester here. C'mon show yourselves!"

With that everyone was glaring at each other to know who is the Beta tester here in the room they also backed away from each other if one of them are Beta testers.

"That's not good, everyone is now in their heads," Xavier thought to himself before he glared at Kibaou since he was the one who started this in the first place, now everyone is suspicious as to who else is a Beta tester like Kirito, Koharu and himself.

Agil then tries to calm Kibaou down. "Hey calm down" but Kibaou wasn't calm as he was still angry.

"Don't tell me to calm down" Kibaou growled before turning his eyes on someone else before he spotted one. "You with the yellow shirt!" he pointed his fingers at Xavier.

"Me?" Xavier replied with his eyes narrowed.

"You know some boss's pattern like it was nothing! Are you a Beta tester too, tell me!" Kibaou hollered as everyone was now eyeing Xavier.

But then Koharu stood in front of everyone and Xavier from the back. "Stop it's not like that, he did everything to take Illfang down!" she replied to calm everyone down.

"And how the hell would you know, I bet you're another Beta tester too. Or better yet, you're trying to PK and take everything that he has in his storage for yourself!" Kibaou hollered. This causes Koharu to be completely shocked in horror as she would never kill her partner, it causes Asuna to glare at Kibaou accusing her of standing up for him.

"Bastard!" Xavier growled as he was about to pull out his sword.

Diavel was about to say something to everyone, but then they heard a mischievous laugh. They look around and see Kirito laughing out loud. "So you think you guys think I used to be a Beta tester. It's not cool to put me in the same class as these noobs" Kirito said.

"K-Kirito?" Koharu wonders what he's doing.

"What did you say!" Kibaou growled at what he heard.

"You heard me. Most one thousand who scored a slot in SAO's Beta were rookies. They were so green they didn't even know how to level up. Hell, even you guys are better than they were" Kirito said harshly at the other players but also staring at Asuna, then Koharu, and Xavier. "But for me? I'm nothing like those guys, man. During the Beta, I made it to floors that were higher than any other testers. That's the fact. I know about the boss because I fought tons of monsters with way more sword skills on higher floors" he then mocks. I know a bunch of other things, too. More than you can imagine. More than any info breaker."

With those words, it got too Kibaou. "Wh-What the hell? If that's true, then you're the worst than a Beta tester. You're a goddamn cheater, that's what you are!?"

"He's a Beta Tester and a cheater! He's a Beater!" one of the players hollered.

"A Beater. Yeah, that's good" this causes everyone felt a bit scared of what he said as they backed up. "Okay, you can call me a Beater. Just make sure you don't confuse me with those Beta testers anymore" he said before clicking on the bonus item and appearing in a black trench coat. He walks away from them as everyone watches him leave.

"I wonder why he did that?" Koharu wondered.

"It's probably for the best," Xavier said as he thought that Kirito should bear this burden on his shoulders, that what he wondered.

"Hey" Xavier turns and sees Diavel approaching him. "I just wanna say thank you for saving me back there, I thought I was a goner."

"You're welcome" Xavier appreciated.

"So now what are you gonna do?" Koharu asked him, wondering what he does now.

"I might stay away from the party and bosses for a while. But I know you can clear it and get everyone back to the real world" Diavel said smiling at the two, he then placed his hand on Xavier's left shoulder. "I know you can clear this."

"Alright, I'll do my best," Xavier nodded.

"Okay, until then we'll meet again," Diavel said before walking away from them.

"Well Xavier, for now on let's stick together and clear these floors. Because I'm not afraid anymore" Koharu said before reaching her hand at him.

Xavier stares at her before closing eyes and smiles. "Alright let's stick together and clear this game" he swore before reaching his hand on hers and holding his hand together as they both headed to the next floor.

The music starts with the nighttime sky where the star appeared with shooting stars over Aincrad.

(Katachi no nai kunochi wasurenai you ni) Koharu was on the streets sitting on a bench under a lamppost as she looked up and saw the shooting stars passing by.

(Kirmari kitta reiauto wokeshi ta) Asuna was in a room on a bed as she saw the shooting stars through the window view.

(Fu to kuchi zu sa n da fure-zu wo tsukamae) Kirito was at the Plain Field as he was laying down on the grass while watching the shooting stars.

(Mune ni hime ta kotobo nose sora ni toki hanatsu no) Xavier was standing in the Teleport Gate of the Town of Beginning and saw the shooting stars.

(Kimi ni tsutaetai koto ga kimi ni todoketai koto ga takusan no ten wa sen ni nette tooku kanata he to hibiku.) Each scene shows everyone watching the shooting stars. Diavel, Kibaou, Agil, Liz, Silica, Sachi, Liten Mater, Lueur, Nautilus, Yuna, Bulker, Valha, Thinker, Sasha, Flecha, Strea, Philia, and Kizmel.

(Kimi ni tsutaetai kotoba kimi ni todoketai oto ga ikutsumo no sen wa en ni natte subete tsunge te ju do ko ni datte) this scenes shows Koharu, Asuna, Kirito, and Xavier all together with the camera circling around while their body was glowing colours: Koharu green, Asuna, red, Kirito blue, and Xavier yellow.

All of them together as they stand on a reflected surface as they see the shooting star. Then the scene focuses on their weapons.
