Long ago, before the magic dimension came to be; a powerful entity appeared. This entity being the great dragon. Having the ability to rewrite reality and bring balance to the powers of darkness. In its time, it sparked the creation of realms and plants.
There were two entities created alongside the creation of the Great Dragon; The Shadow Phoenix and the Water Stars. The Shadow phoenix is the Dark opposite while the Water Stars are neutral opposite artifacts that can extinguish the Dragon's Flame. It is unclear why the Shadow Phoenix can't extinguish the Dragon's Flame and why the Water Stars can but that's how it is. But because the water stars can't take away the Dragon's Flame.
Another ancient artifact known to have been created by the dragon's flame is the Ring of Solaria. The ring was born out of a spring of light from the Dragon's Flame. It's an ancient heirloom that has stayed within the Solarian royal family for generations. The ring itself also changes into a scepter, which the wearer can use to aid them in battle. Because the ring held magic from the dragon's flame, there were people seeking its power.
When this entity was finished creating the universe, the great dragon decided to reside in a place named Domino. After its disappearance, the powers of the great dragon began to be passed down through generations in the royal family of Domino. It is unclear how generations have passed, but the flame landed in the hands of the current generation. Queen Marion and King Oritel passed down the great flame to their daughter, Daphne. With this power, Daphne had become a powerful nymph in the magical dimension due to being giving the dragon's flame. It's also unclear how old she really is.
The holder of the Shadow Phoenix wanted to obtain the ultimate power, so he sent the Ancestral Witches and Valtor to find the holder and take their powers. The Ancestral Witches had separated from Valtor to cover move ground on Domino. The trio had managed to find Daphne after attacking her home world. What they didn't notice was that she had a baby while chasing her through the castle.
Daphne had managed to hide again with said baby. Once it was safe, Daphne opened up a portal to a place called Fiore and put the baby through. A dimension so far away and forgotten that the Witches could not sense her Dragon Flame. She wasn't sure where the little one was going to land but it was a risk she was going to take. Keeping the Flame from falling into the wrong hands was her duty as Princess of Domino.
Closing the portal, Daphne confronts the Ancestresses but was eventually overpowered and killed. After this, the final battle against the Ancestral Witches and the Company of Light takes place. Oritel and Marion, convinced that both their daughters had been killed, defeated and imprisoned Valtor, who had lied to them that he was the one who killed both Bloom and Daphne, in the Omega Dimension.
They then fought the Ancestral Witches themselves and were able to defeat them and imprison them in the Obsidian Dimension, their birth realm. But before disappearing, the Witches captured both Oritel and Marion, imprisoning them in Obsidian along with them, and a wave of dark energy was released from the realm of Obsidian that turned Domino itself into a frozen place and captured all the inhabitants of Domino and imprisoned them as well in Obsidian.
