Chapter 20

A figure in the night.

Bella's pov

"I think I may know why you got teleported in Paris and who did this…..'' says Olivia, worried.

''I am trying to sleep here! Why didn't you wait to tell me tomorrow face to face?''

''Because you are in danger! You have to leave the hotel quick! He knows where you are and…- he might be watching you.''

'''What are you talking about?'' I say, still a bit sleepy.

''Who is he?" asks Aaron, wide awake.

''The point is he-''

Then the connection gets laggy and we stop hearing what she says. What if it's something bad? I know Olivia only too well and we have to trust her. If she says something is coming, then it is.

''Let's see what's going on with the internet! We have to talk to Olivia!'' I say.

''But it's the middle of the night! People will think we're crazy or something!''

''We have to! Plus I don't care what they think.''

I grab Aaron and we go to the balcony, where I see someone wearing a black hoodie cutting the wifi wires…. This can't be..

''WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!'' I say, yelling.

I think the whole Paris heard me!

The person jumps to the other balcony when I start recording. I have to get proof. Aaron goes after her. Everyone wakes up and turns on their lights. They also go to the balcony and some people cheer on Aaron. We don't have connection, so we can't call. The calls don't have anything to do with wifi, I know, but most of us are from other countries and have other numbers. Aaron finally catches the person and unmasks him. Aaron suddenly gets pale as he sees who it is. I can't see anything.. They are really far away, I think 4-5 balconies far.

Aaron let's go of the person and comes back to me saying:

''Liliana.. why would she do this?'' says Aaron.

''LILIANA?! Why did you leave her there?! We have to report her to the police!" I say, concerned and sad.

''We can't! She's our best friend!''

''We have to do what's right!''

But when I want to go to Liliana she was already gone. I have recordings, but you can's see who she is. Liliana will probably leave Paris soon so that was it. I won't give up. We will find her with the help of Ladybug and Cat Noir. But what if it's just a coincidence and she isn't the one we were sent here for? We will see I guess.

Next morning

Bella's pov

We apparently got on the news. The incident was more severe than I thought. Liliana actually came here for kidnapping someone, and when she heard talking on the phone she cut the wires so they couldn't warn anybody about her. But why did she want to kidnap someone? I have to find out the truth. Today Olivia will arrive.

When Olivia arrived

''What did you want to tell us last night Olivia?''

''Basically, I think Liliana was coming after you guys.''

''W-what?'' says Aaron, shocked.

''Yes. I knew someone will come.''

''But how did you know?'' says Ladybug.

''Well, every time holders or old holders get teleported somewhere is because they have to help with a really important mission, and most of the times the villain is trying to catch them as soon as they get there.''

''So Liliana is the villain?'' I ask.

''Yeah.. she is.''

''Then we have to defeat Larisa!" says Cat Noir.

''LILIANA!'' we say, at the same time.

Then we all start laughing. As we were talking, I hear some footsteps. We were in a secret room that nobody knew about, who could it be? I think I just imagined.

''There's someone outside.'' Says Olivia.

Then someone storms in the room, wearing a purple suit.. SHE HAD A MIRACULOUS?!

''Liliana!? That's you?!'' I say, in shock.

''Yeah that's me and I came for revenge.'' She says, angrily.

''Why?! What did I ever do to you?!'' I ask her scared.

Everyone remain silent, they just didn't know what to say..

''Well, Aaron always loved you! You always had all the attention, the world only revolves around you! I am just a dumb hero who no one cares about!" says Liliana, with tears in her eyes.

''So.. let me get this straight. You are…. Jealous of me?''

Aaron's pov

That was all Bella needed to say to make Liliana even more angrier. Lilina suddenly comes closer to Bella and punches her. I feel so scared and don't know what to do.

''Take this!"

''My miraculous!"

I put it on and transform. Ladybug and Cat Noir try to grab Liliana quickly, but she is too agile. She never thought of one thing, we are 5, and she is only one. I float her up and Ladybug takes her miraculous. Liliana was crying, but they were not tears in the real meaning of the word, they were tears of rage.

I never saw someone cry out of rage. We had to do something

''What happened..? Why am I floated up all of the sudden?'' says Liliana, confused.

''What do you EVEN MEAN?!'' yells Bella.

''And why am I crying?'' says Liliana while wiping her tears.

''DON'T ACT LIKE YOU DIDN'T DO ANYTHING!" Says Ladybug.

''Wait guys! I don't remember anything! What did I do and who are you?'' says Liliana pointing at ladybug and Cat Noir.

''I think I know what's going on….'' Says Olivia.

''That she's a pathological liar?! We know!" says Bella.

''She's telling the truth…the most dangerous miraculous had this effect on her..'' says Olivia.

We all stay in silence.

Olivia's pov

''Well, let me tell you the story. There is a miraculous stronger than all of the other ones, but I thought it was long gone, so that's why I never told you anything about it. Even talking about it can bring it's bad power here. Its power is that it takes what's worst out of people and turn them against the ones they love. That's what happened to Liliana..''

''And how are you so sure she's not lying?!" says Bella, still furious after the punch.

''I am not I swear.. and I remember a strange figure told me 'You can't escape your fears ever.' And then I got here, floating!'' says Liliana.

''That's the one who has the miraculous now I think. I and many other holders broke it many times, but it just comes back to life stronger and stronger every time…'' says Olivia.

''That seems like a nightmare.'' Says Aaron, who hasn't spoken for a while now.

''What can we do?'' asks Ladybug.

''You and Cat Noir have to stay in Paris and be careful, but Bella, Aaron, Liliana and I have to go back to California. And I don't think Liliana was the real reason Bella and Aaron got teleported to Paris, they were sent to warn you, so be cautious.''

''Yes, we will.'' Says Cat Noir.

Right that minute I begin searching for the next flight to California. After I find one, I say:
''We have to stay here one more night..''

''But what if the figure comes after us?!'' says Bella.

''We will stay in the same room, different beds so we're safer. You all have to wear your miraculouses so you can transform right away if the figure finds us.''

''Let's get going then..'' says Liliana scared.

''Goodbye Ladybug and Cat Noir, we wish you luck.'' I say.

''Thanks. I hope you will find your peace one day.'' Says Ladybug.

*After we book the room and make ourselves comfortable*

Liliana's pov

''Bella.. you know anything I said isn't true, right?'' I ask.

''I know.. but did you really feel those things?"

''I will be honest with you. I did. I know it's selfish. But I am your friend after all, and I am happy for you. You are informed about the miraculouses power..''

''Yes, I am..''

Right then, we hear someone saying:

''I don't think you can ever escape me.''

Me and Liliana think it's a dream, but is it? Can we defeat this figure and its miraculous? We have to find a plan before it's too late..
