War of Fates

Chapter 4

Goku and Vegeta got into intense training, the stakes have never been higher. The world was at stake, and the lives of the ones they love and care about. Frieza was the strongest they've seen him, and he seems to want revenge, but why?
Goku thought by getting Frieza out of his own personal hell would grant them peace, that even he'd be somewhat grateful for such a thing. Yet, that didn't happen. It frustrated Goku, he thought giving Frieza the benefit of the doubt may mean something. Goku didn't have to do what he did, he could have found another way to fill the last spot for the Tournament of Power, but he didn't. Frieza had a chance, yet threw it away like it was nothing.
Goku used this frustration to fuel his training, to get stronger. Goku felt he needed to surpass Frieza, and he was right. It was truly the only way to protect the earth and everyone on it.
Chi-Chi was rather frustrated herself. She'd barely seen Goku at all. All he'd done for at least 2 weeks was train. she saw him for a brief few moments when she told him Vegeta was looking for him, then Goku was off again. She hadn't seen him since. she understands his role as a Saiyan and earth's protector, but she felt he could be around more. Goten asked about him a lot, but there was not much Chi-Chi could tell him other than Goku was busy.
Vegeta started spending about as much time as Goku training. Goku had always trained more, but Vegeta knew time was of the essence. During this time training, he noticed Goku's growing frustration, he could feel Goku's anger building toward Frieza. Vegeta wasn't surprised. Goku was naïve, but always had good intentions. He always gave people the benefit of the doubt, always kind unless he was given a reason not to be. Goku always tried, and even hoped he could convince others to turn away from their evil life, but at the same time, he enjoyed a good fight. He loved dealing with powerful foes, he loved testing his limits, but it only goes so far. Once the people he cares about are threatened, he becomes more serious and the fight always has more meaning than it did before. He wasn't just fighting to gain strength anymore, he was fighting for his friends and family. For those he cares about the most.
Vegeta was frustrated too, Goku's kindness is what got them here. It's what caused this. He tried to ignore it, Goku was a good guy. He tried. Yet, he was still frustrated, Goku's good heart can, has and will cause issues if it continues. Goku needs to be a little less forgiving to those who've done wrong.

Goku had decided to go to the Time Chamber to train further. with each day that passes outside of the chamber, 1 year passes inside. By this point, he'd been there for 10 days, which would equal 10 years worth of training.
The issue? Frieza had once more shown his face, and Goku was not there. Vegeta and the others tried to fend him off, but they were struggling.
Vegeta was struggling to pull himself to his feet. Yet he did so. Krillin wasn't strong enough, Piccolo had been beaten down, Gohan was ready to step in when Vegeta couldn't take anymore. The fighters were not having any luck. They tried so hard to keep up, hoping Goku would turn up soon, because Goku was their last hope right now. Goku had been training so long that they were sure he'd stand a chance, but typically, Goku wasn't there. Goku being late to a fight was so common, they got used to it. They knew he'd turn up soon. It usually happened when they really needed him most. This was one of those times.

"Kakarot..." Vegeta muttered to himself struggling to his feet once more. "Where are you? We could really use you right now."

King Kai contacted Goku to tell him of the situation.

"Goku!"

"King Kai?" Goku replies "What's up?"

"Vegeta and the others need you!" King Kai replies

"What's going on?" Goku asks

"Frieza" King Kai replies "He's back and they can't do it without you. They're struggling!"

Goku stood in shock. He didn't expect Frieza to be back so soon. He'd not been there for Frieza's return! "Dammit, I'm on my way!"

Goku rushed out of the Time Chamber and headed for earth, he knew he'd find them through sensing their Ki. Goku moved as quickly as he could. He now had 10 more years of training under his belt, he was much stronger now, and he was going to prove it. He was going to show Frieza true power.
Goku finally arrived. His friends had taken a beating. Vegeta was currently fighting Frieza, but was struggling to keep up.

"Frieza." Goku said with determination in his voice.

Frieza turned to see the Saiyan floating behind him.

"Kakarot!" Vegeta shouted "Where have you been?!"

"Sorry, I didn't know! Goku replies "I'm here now, and it's time to finish this. Once and for all."

"Hmm" Frieza smirks "You thought you could beat me last time, what makes you think it's any different now?"

"I'm stronger now" Goku replies "You've got no chance."

"You hadn't even mastered your form 10 days ago." Frieza laughs

"It's different now." Goku replies "I'll show you"

Goku began to power up. This time, it seemed different. His power felt stronger than Ultra Instinct. it was far beyond that. The aura that began to surround him fluttered like flames. white, with tints of pastel pink, blue, and purple.
The light faded, revealing a new form. Goku's hair tinted in the same colours as the aura, keeping the silver eyes of Ultra Instinct.

"W-what is this?" Frieza asks feeling the insane power

"Kakarot..." Vegeta says in disbelief "What have you done?"

"This" Goku replies his voice deeper than usual "This is my new form. Astral Instinct. This form was achieved by not only connecting with the world and the people around me, but the universe as a whole. Aligning my instinctual reactions to a higher level, tapping into ascendant consciousness. By attuning myself to the cosmic forces that surround us all, I was able to obtain a form beyond Ultra Instinct. This is only 1 of 3 stages of the form. This is something that is Beyond even the God's. Do try and beat me. I dare you."

Through all of this, Goku was insanely calm. Vegeta and the others couldn't believe what they saw. Seeing Goku like this was so different. He seemed so calm, determined and serious. It was a side of Goku that no one had ever seen, even in his Ultra Instinct form, Goku wasn't like this. There was still a part of him that was clearly Goku, but right now, it's like that side of Goku was pushed aside to accommodate for this new form, this new awareness, this new power.

"No matter what form you take, I will still destroy you, monkey." Frieza snapped

"Try it." Goku's voice was calm, not even and inkling of concern or emotion "I'll even let you take the first swing."

Frieza didn't pass up that opportunity. He swung for Goku only to find he couldn't touch the Saiyan. Every punch, every kick, every Ki blast missed.
Goku dodged each attempt with ease. Goku took one swing at Frieza and he hit the ground so hard, a deep crater surrounded Frieza. That one punch alone left Frieza struggling to get up.
Goku gently landed on the ground not far from Frieza, looking over at him with a look of pity, at least that's what it seemed like.

"What's wrong?" Goku taunted "I thought you could beat me? It seems to me that you're struggling."

"W-what is this?" Vegeta couldn't believe what he saw "Kakarot basically took out Frieza with one punch!"

"This form is amazing!" Krillin cheered "We stand a chance now! Goku is so strong!"

"Honestly, I think it's over for Frieza." Vegeta replies "There's no way he can stand up to Kakarot's power."

"I think you're right" Gohan replies "I've never seen my father like this before. This truly is something else."

"Finish him, Kakarot!" Vegeta shouts

Goku looks at Vegeta and gives him a small nod before turning back to Frieza and approaching him. "It's time to send you back to hell."

Frieza managed to get to his feet again. He begins to throw as many punches as he could. Goku blocked every single one. Goku's calm, collected demeanour really made Frieza angry. Nothing he could do was able to change a thing.
Frieza tried to escape, but Goku appeared in front of him and swiftly knocked him to the ground again. Frieza thought he may never escape. Goku began to charge up his Kamehameha. Frieza needed a way to escape and just as Goku fired the attack, Frieza made a swift exit. Goku stopped the attack, but Frieza was gone.
Now Goku was mad. He was fed up of Frieza running. He wanted to end this, now, but he had no idea where Frieza went. If he knew, he'd have gone after him.

"That bastard." Goku snapped landing on the ground "We need to find him."

"We will" Gohan says

"He will no doubt train in an attempt to overpower you" Vegeta says

"I know, which is why I need to find him." Goku says as he returns to his base form. "I still have to work on this form, the stamina drain is large. I'm not exactly sure how long I can maintain it for. If I'd lost the form While Frieza was here, he might have taken advantage of that"

"It's a good thing you didn't then" Vegeta says "How did you achieve such a form?"

"A lot of training and meditation" Goku replies "and I mean A LOT."

"Hmm" Vegeta replies "I think I may need to take a trip to the Time Chamber myself in that case."

"I recommend it." Goku replies "It was immensely helpful. You may even achieve a new for for yourself!"

"That's the plan." Vegeta says "I think we all need some intense training. Kakarot and I can't do it all ourselves."

"Agreed" Gohan replies "That way we all stand a chance, and can work together to beat him."

"He can't beat all of us!" Krillin says "he'd eventually tire!"

"Precisely." Piccolo says "I highly doubt he can keep up that form for too long. I assume he runs when he knows he can't hold the form for much longer."

"That makes sense" Goku says "It's hard to keep up when the form that gave you the advantage is no longer available to you."

Without any other choice, Vegeta left for the Time Chamber, and Goku headed home for a while to see Chi-Chi and Goten since it had been so long. He knew she was going to lecture him, he tried to prepare himself for it, but truly, nothing could fully prepare anyone for Chi-Chi flying off the handle!
But Goku was tired, he needed to rest. He needed to have a proper meal, and needed to relax for a few days before getting back into training. There was only so much anyone could do before needing to take a break.
