The day started out as normal for a young Erza Scarlet. Waking up, getting ready for the day, going to the guild, getting Gray and Natsu to stop fighting and training. There didn't seem like anything that could really change her routine.
Not going straight to the guild would be the only minor difference today. Nothing wrong with getting a little training in before having to deal with the chaos of the others. Getting up early and ready for the day.
Going to her normal area and was about to drop her bag until she started hearing something faint. 'Is that baby? And where is it coming from?'
Once Erza could identify where the crying was coming from, she started following it. It seemed pretty weird that a baby would be all alone; with no parent in sight. It made her just be overcome with anger that people would just abandon their baby somewhere. She shook it off and shouldn't worry about them too much and just focus and try to find the baby.
The crying had gotten much louder now. Erza had spotted a basket under a tree that was nearby; getting closer to it, the source of the crying was prominent. There it was, a ginger haired baby wrapped up in a baby blue blanket.
The crying seemed to quiet down as Erza approached, like it was able to sense that it was safe now. It confused Erza how this baby was able to survive this long this far from the nearest town. She gently kneels down and softly scoops her up into her arms.
Erza smiled down at her while cradling and rocking her. "It's alright now little one. It's ok, I got you, little one. You're safe now," Erza coos as she kisses the baby's forehead. Since Erza was able to get a closer look as the baby opened her eyes; her eyes were cyan in color blue while her hair was bright orange up close. The baby calms down, smiles and coos at Erza who smiles back.
"Well aren't you just the cutest ever," she said. This just caused the baby to giggle and clap her little hands making small magic sparks, surprising Erza. "Oh, you're a magical little one. I should take you back to see Master Makarov,"
Erza had quickly made her back to the guild hall. As usual, Gray and Natsu were being idiots and fighting. Some of the other girls noticed Erza come in and had something with her. The bundle had moved a little before stretching out her arms to try and mess Erza's hair. They ran up to Erza, seeing that it was a baby. They squeal softly at her cuteness.
"Has anyone seen Master Makarov?" she asked. "He's in his office right now. But where did you get that baby from?"
"She was just by herself in the woods, with no parent in sight. Now if you will excuse me, I gotta go," Erza excused herself from the group. Heading up to the Master's office and knocked gently. "Come in,"
Pushing the door open, she entered the office. Looking up from his paperwork, Makarov smiled slightly when it was only Erza. "Erza, what can I do for you?"
"Master, I wanted to talk to you about this baby that I found." She said while taking a seat in one of the open chairs. He seemed to just realize that she had been carrying something with her. "Where did you find it?" he asked. Erza explained what happened and how she found the baby.
"I can take her off your hand and give her to the adoption place." he said while outstretching his arms to her. "That's the thing, I'm going to adopt her as my daughter and raise her as my own," she tells Makarov. "Do you understand the responsibilities that come with raising a baby? Do you think that you're able to handle that much at such a young age, Erza?" he questioned.
"Yes master, I believe that I can handle those responsibilities. I'll provide her with everything that she'll need growing up," Erza said. Makarov smiled when he heard the baby giggle and reach it's arms out at Erza. "So what are you planning on naming her, Erza?"
"I haven't decided on a name yet," she admitted. Erza had shifted the baby over and got a better look at the blanket. There seemed to be a name, 'Bloom' was written in the corner. "Oh, your name is Bloom? Such a cute name for a baby girl," she coos softly. Going back to his desk, he hopped on his desk. "Did you have anything else on your mind?"
"Oh yeah, I think this might interest you a little, master," she admitted while smiling fondly at Bloom. "Earlier; when I found her, I sensed a strong type of magic that I never felt before. I was wondering if you could help me figure it out. Also, I seemed to have excited her, making small magic sparks to erupt." she explained. Looking for his reaction, she was met with silence and him pondering.
"Is something wrong, master?" she asked. Erza was starting to get worried with what he could possibly be thinking. Still not getting a response from him, she watched as Makarov went to get to one of his books. "I've heard of this kind of magic but it's not from this dimension. There isn't much information about it but I was able to sense it when you entered," he explained. She could do was nod before leaving his office.
About an hour later, Erza had gotten back to Fairy Hills. She sighed in relief as she went to her room. Laying Bloom on her bed, Erza got to work on setting up her room with the baby supplies and crib that she had gotten from her shopping trip. At the speed Erza had gotten to work at setting things up, it only took 40 minutes.
Bloom started to giggle and clap excitedly when Erza came back and picked her up. Small sparks erupted again. Erza took this as a sign as this might be a problem when she grows up. That would obviously be dealt with later as someone's tummy started to rumble. "You must be hungry with all that crying you did,"
Erza gets a bottle of formula ready while gently rocking Bloom; who was smiling and cooing softly. Erza leans in and kisses Bloom's cheek causing her to squeal and giggle happily. With the formula now ready, Erza sits down and gently feeds Bloom encouraging her to drink up. Sometime later, Bloom finishes the bottle. Erza gently burps her.
Bloom starts yawning and rubbing her eyes. Erza smiles before taking Bloom back to her room. She gets Bloom ready to sleep before gently laying in the crib. "Sweet dreams, little one," Erza muttered as Bloom closed her eyes. With that out of the way, Erza got out one of those books about first time parenting.
Erza didn't realize how much time had passed until she heard gurgling. With Bloom now awake, Erza got up and picked Bloom. Going to the playroom, Erza went to a rocking chair with baby Bloom in her lap. Erza smiled at seeing how Bloom's hair had turned more red looking due to the spell Makarov casted. Erza sets her daughter on a soft spot in the play room and lets Bloom crawl over to the baby toys.
Bloom found a toy that she liked and started happily playing with a blue and white rabbit plushie. Mira Jane walks in and smiles when she sees baby Bloom playing happily. "So how is she doing?"
"She just woke up from a nap, not really sure if she's hungry yet," she said. Mira nodded and watched Bloom play for a bit. A few minutes had passed and growling could be heard. Getting up from her spot, Erza picked Bloom up and went to make her bottle. "You know, you're going to be a wonderful mother," Mira admits. Erza blushes, "thank you." she softly says.
