"The Incredible Growing Penny"

Chapter 4: Total Destruction!

Later, in the lab, Slickstein was now holding the can of Grime Cola.

"Ah. So, THIS is Dr. Claw's plan!", Slickstein said.

"And I'm willing to bet that this drink tastes just as nasty as his plan.", Gadget replied.

"Do you think you can make an antidote from this?", Penny asked.

"Of course I can. But it may take some time.", Professor Slickstein replied.

"Not to worry, Slickstein. In the meantime, we could use a little relaxation while we wait.", Gadget suggested.

"How about the beach?", Penny asked.

"Yeah, yeah, yeah.", Brain barked with a nod.

Later, the trio was now at the beach where everyone was relaxing and having fun, nearby. But unbeknownst to them, Mr. Grime was seeing the one shipment of Grime Cola doing its work as they're being shipped and distributed through purchases in stores from a vantage point in a sort of gray building near the ocean water and sands. He saw this happening through his binoculars for a moment before speaking to Dr. Claw.

"It is concerning to see that only one shipment has made it. But nevertheless, it looks like Operation RAMPAGE is well underway.", Mr. Grime said.

"Excellent. Now, the only thing left to do is to monitor the destruction. And who knows? Maybe even see them destroy Gadget should he interfere again.", Dr. Claw said.

"Maybe. But until then, there's no better way to watch the show than relaxing like I'm in Guadalajara.", Mr. Grime responded, putting on his shades and leaning on the deck chair.

Meanwhile, only Penny (in her red swimsuit) and Brain were relaxing while Gadget, though nearby, was climbing up the ladder.

"Um, Uncle Gadget, why are you climbing up the ladder?", Penny asked.

"Just making sure that the satellite reception in that building's in order. It's nice to lend a helping hand, you know.", Gadget said.

"Well, you're not wrong, Uncle Gadget. Just please be careful. You know how nervous I get when I see you up there with that old ladder.", Penny assured.

"Don't worry, Penny. I won't be up here much lon...", Gadget began as he was about to reach the top.

But as he was nearing it, he was stunned to discover a giant ape monster on the roof.

"Huh. Either this is the same ape monster from before, or people should really have better security at the zoo.", Gadget stated.

The ape monster, however, roared and started to blow Gadget back, causing the ladder to shake.

"WOWSERS!", Gadget exclaimed.

"Oh, no! Hang on, Uncle Gadget! I'm coming!", Penny shouted as she took off her watch to be sure it doesn't break off.

As she rushed over to him, Penny started to grow bigger as her bikini luckily managed to grow along with her, though her pigtails turned into long, flowing hair. Fortunately, she caught Gadget just in time as he fell, much to Penny's relief as she sighed. Unbeknownst to her, though some of the beach-goers spotted her.

"It's... it's a... it's a giant!", one of the beach-goers shouted.

"A giant?! No way...!", another added.

"Wait, wasn't she small a moment ago?", a third asked.

Fortunately, the only response she got out of them were murmurs of surprise.

"Are you okay, Uncle Gadget?", Penny asked.

"Yes, Penny. I'm just fine. No thanks to our hairy visitor up on the roof.", Gadget said, pointing toward the roof as Penny set him down on the ground before she noticed a giant ape monster roaring and pounding his chest.

"A MADimal!", Penny realized.

And he wasn't the only one. It wasn't long before the entire city near the beach was besieged by 39 other gigantic animal monsters ranging from a lizard all the way to a lion. All those at the beach were frightened. In fact, they would've fled the town already like the rest of the town if they hadn't come to the beach.

"Wowsers! That Grime Cola made quite a rampaging menagerie.", Gadget stated.

Meanwhile, Mr. Grime watched as the carnage unfolded.

"That's right, baby. All according to plan.", Mr. Grime smirked with a slight chuckle.

Back to the trio, Penny quickly went for her watch without crushing it and turned to Brain whilst picking him up.

"Brain, can you contact Slickstein for me?", Penny asked.

Brain nodded and pressed a button, causing Slickstein to appearing in the monitor.

"Professor, is the formula done yet?", Penny asked.

"Actually, I'm just about halfway done. Why do you ask?", Slickstein asked.

"Because we got an animal problem. A BIG animal problem.", Penny replied, showing that giant animal monsters have appeared all over the place.

"Oh, dear! This is not good! I'll do all I can to finish, but until then, you all need to keep those monsters at bay!", Slickstein urged.

"You got it, Professor.", Penny assured before the call ended as Brain then placed her watch on her wrist and then pressed a button, causing it to release and form a mission suit around Penny like before.

"Thanks, Brain.", Penny thanked.

"Uh-huh.", Brain nodded.

"It looks like we may need to cover more ground and quell those rampaging behemoths.", Gadget said just as a few monsters were headed for the beach.

"Right. Brain and I got this area covered.", Penny suggested.

"Good idea. And I'll tend to the rest on the city. They might just be cranky from being mutated.", Gadget responded.

"I don't think it's that simple, Uncle Gadget, but okay.", Penny

Moments later, Gadget was seeing the giant ape monster wreaking havoc.

"And all that because he didn't get anything to eat. I know how to fix that. Go Go Gadget Banana.", Gadget said, getting out a big hand with a fresh banana.

When the monster saw the banana, he dropped his angry persona and was quite joyous to see it. But as he stomped toward it, he was inadvertently stepping toward the Gadgetmobile.

"Well, looks like it's my cue!", the Gadgetmobile spoke.

With that, as soon as the monster set his foot on the Gadgetmobile, literally, the ape monster was suddenly taken for a ride around town. The good news for him was, he got his banana. The bad news for him, however, was that while they were in the middle of wrecking the town in their respective ways, most of the land-based MADimals were practically ran over altogether, knocking them out cold, especially the ape monster, who now has a banana in his mouth.

"And that's how it's done.", the Gadgetmobile said.

"Now, that's what he needed. A snack and a nap.", Gadget said.

Meanwhile, the rest of the MADimals were handled by Penny as Brain assisted on her shoulder. They were tough as they nearly chomped at Penny. But nevertheless, thanks to Brain's help in recognizing the patterns of some of the Monsters (the rest was guesswork), she bested them one at a time, catching Mr. Grime's notice, making him worried, annoyed, and angry.

"Phew...! Well, that just leaves one more left... And the view looks nice.", Penny said.

Then, Dr. Claw called him via wrist watch communicator.

"Mr. Grime, explain yourself! How are the MADimals already being decimated?!", Dr. Claw shouted angrily.

"I don't know how, but... GADGET!", Mr. Grime shouted.

"No matter. There is still one more MADimal left. And this one will cut Gadget and his niece down to size!", Dr. Claw assured before laughing maniacally.

On cue, something bubbled up from the surface, puzzling Penny and Brain. Suddenly, what should arise from the sea but a giant Loch-Ness Monster-like MADimal. It let out a loud roar that echoed across the air.

"Oh, no!", Penny said in worry.

Meanwhile, Gadget noticed the source of the roaring sound.

"That is one angry whale.", Gadget said.

Suddenly, Penny's watch beeped and Brain's collar let loose a couple of wires, resembling a headset with Gadget's hand ringing like a phone at the same time.

"Gadget! Come in, Gadget! Are you there?", Slickstein asked.

"We read you loud and clear, Slickstein!", Gadget said.

"We all do.", Penny added.

"Listen. I almost have the antidote ready, but you have to buy enough time for it to be completed.", Slickstein urged.

"Well, most of the MADimals have been dealt with already. What's one more when it's the last one?", Penny said, earning Brain's nod.

Of course, the last MADimal grabbed Penny by the waist and dragged her up into the air, preparing to chow down. As it was about to stuff her in its mouth, Penny pressed her hands against its jaws and pushed as hard as she could, trying not to let herself be eaten just as Gadget grew worried upon seeing this.

"Hey! You put my niece down! She's not your lunch!", Gadget scolded.

In the meantime, seeing the difficult time Penny is currently having with the MADimal, Mr. Grime seemed pleased with himself.

"Well, that should take care of her. Hopefully, I'll be able to relax again AND get a good front row seat.", Mr. Grime said, preparing to head back outside.

Speaking of, Penny grunted as she struggled not to get eaten. But suddenly, she widened her eyes with a gasp as she suddenly felt something happen.

"I... I feel all tingly...!", Penny spoke.

A moment after, Penny suddenly started to grow bigger than even the loch Ness monster MADimal. As she grew, Penny began to feel more enthusiastic, even as her watch finally snapped off and her mission suit eventually started to rip and tear into a similar identical shape as her usual garments. At the same time, more importantly, Penny also outgrew the MADimal's grasp and then some all while Brain hurriedly kept his stance on Penny's shoulder as best he could. By the time her growth stopped, she now stood to be 10 feet taller than her 500 foot limit as she checked the status of her mission suit out.

"Oh, my gosh! Or, as Uncle Gadget would say, Wowsers!"

Threatened, the MADimal roared and bit into Penny by the big toe of her foot. Normally, it would hurt, but not to Penny in her current state. In fact, it even tickled, making her laugh so much that she could only stifle a snicker for a few seconds before bursting with laughter.

"S... s-stop it...! It, it tickles!", Penny giggled, flinging the Loch-Ness MADimal near the others that were knocked out, beaching it.

"Well, that should be all of them now.", Gadget said.

Just then, Gadget got a call from his right hand and moved it to his face.

"Great news, Gadget! I just finished preparing the antidote for the MADimal subjects and am now en route to the beach.", Slickstein said.

"That's great, Slickstein. The MADimals are taking a little nap, though. So, can you please keep it down when you get here?", Gadget asked.

Meanwhile, the tickling sensation passing for now, Penny looked around.

"Well, all the MADimals are stopped. And the view from up here is nice. Blue waters, majestic waves, and..."

Just then, she saw someone leaving the building.

"Mr. Grime?!", Penny exclaimed.

Hearing Brain whisper to her an idea, Penny gave a slight smirk just as Mr. Grime was about to continue his relaxation and his front-row seat "entertainment".

"Ah, I love going outside to the beach.", Mr. Grime said, momentarily unaware of a giant wave with Dr. Claw and MADcat practically held prisoner at the top of it. "Just listening to the sounds of the oCEAAAAAAA...!"

The wave quickly splashed on Mr. Grime, washing him away toward the wall of the gray building where Penny loomed over him.

"Uncle Gadget would like to see you. Right! Now!", Penny glared.

Later, while the MADimal subjects were turned back to normal, albeit with torn clothing, Mr. Grime was locked up.

"Congratulations, Gadget. You put the kibosh on Mr. Grime's chemical operation.", Quimby congratulated.

"Thank you, Chief. But I can't take all the credit today. My niece, Penny was a tremendous help today. Why, her helping hand was the key to quelling the MADimals' rampage.", Gadget responded.

"Oh, I only helped a little bit.", Penny responded, her voice booming with a slight echo.

"When we get back, we're going to make some modifications to your mission suit.", Slickstein suggested.

"Yeah. I know.", Penny blushed in agreement.

"You keep on like this and someday, Penny, you'll be as great a detective as me, guaranteed.", Gadget encouraged, making Penny giggle.

"I'll do my best, uncle.", Penny vowed.

Meanwhile, back at Dr. Claw's castle, he was furious with the latest failure.

"Curses! This time, you've really made a monkey out of me, Gadget! Operation Rampage was a disaster! But mark my words. I'll get you next time, Gadget! Next time!", Dr. Claw vowed loudly as he curled his right hand into a fist and hit the table while watching from the monitor, making MADcat yowl in surprise from the impact shaking the table slightly.

Later, at night, Penny was sound asleep in her pajamas in her normal size, but this time with her watch on. She also seems to be sleeping in quite a large room with a glass window at the top, two side windows, and two front windows touching the ground. But as she slept soundly, something began to stir her.

"Growing... Growing...", Penny said in her sleep.

Suddenly, her watch beeped as Penny started to grow, her feet moving past her blanket. Fortunately, the beeping woke Brain up in time for him to notice her growing in her sleep again. This time, thanks to the house's modifications, Brain was ready. Quickly, he pressed a button on the wall that opened said windows. Like before, when her blanket could only cover her torso, her pajamas slowly started to tear at the seams at random spots yet again. When her legs shot past the bed, they headed for said open windows. Like before, Penny was enjoying her current dream.

"Bigger...! Bigger...!", Penny moaned in her sleep, blissfully unaware of her current growth, even as her pajamas finally ripped off her growing body; though, miraculously, her swimsuit-like undergarments grew along with her.

Suddenly, as soon as she hit her head on the wall, she jolted awake with a snap, still growing.

"Ouch...! What was that...?", Penny asked.

Once she was awake enough, though, Penny gasped as she noticed that she was once again starting to outgrow even her bedroom, worried. Of course, this time her worry was not to last. she saw the open roof and windows on both the sides and the front as her growth continued.

"Oh. Looks like I'm growing again.", Penny grinned.

Her head burst out of the roof and continued growing until her arms and legs fit through the open windows.

"Phew... That was great! Dream and all. And nothing got destroyed this time! Thanks, Brain.", Penny thanked.

Brain nodded to her in response.

"Whatever this dream was about, I'll find out someday. I know it. Until then, I think I can get pretty used to my sleep growths...", Penny blushed.

A/N: And that concludes the 4th part of the 1st episode of the story. So, the next time the story gets updated later on after this June seeing as it is almost over, what original chapter would you like to see? Or would a rewrite of one of the episodes of either the 1983 or 2015 series be in order for the future? Either way, things are certainly making a BIG difference, if you know what I mean.
