AN:/ I own nothing! Wish I did though.
The train ride to Hogwarts was calm once again. Those in Harry's compartment had either fallen asleep or were talking softly. He looked down to see Andy snuggled on his left and Amelia on his right, both asleep with their heads resting on his shoulders. In his arms, on his lap, was Lily, her head against his chest. She was the shortest of the three, and they had agreed that it was the best place for her to sit when they sat like this.
Harry didn't mind, unless she started to move her shapely rear around on his lap. Then, it was a constant battle between self-control and distracting thoughts. So far, he had somehow kept himself in check, but it was getting harder. He leaned down and placed a gentle kiss on each of their heads. They smiled in their sleep and drew closer to him.
He smiled and looked out the window, ignoring the soft cooing coming from Marlene. It was a cloudy day and looked like it might rain before long. Thinking about the summer, he couldn't help but smile. It had been a good last month with the girls. They had spent their evenings going on picnics, or he would take them out on a date to muggle movies with either Amelia or Lily, or museums with Andy.
He had discussed all sorts of things with the girls, from what the next year would be like to their futures. He smiled and blushed ever so lightly as he thought about one particular conversation.
(Flashback)
They were sitting in their now-favorite clearing on a picnic blanket by the pond. Andy was sitting between his legs as he leaned against a tree. Amelia was laying on her side across from them, smiling. He was having a difficult time not staring at her assets that were slightly on display in her sundress. Lily was sitting across from them with a book, her legs tucked under her.
Harry was playing with Andy's hair as he held her. "Harry, have you thought about kids?" she asked.
"Like, do I want kids?" he replied.
She nodded, and the other two suddenly showed a lot of interest. "Yes."
He seemed to think for a moment. "Yes, I think I would like to have kids one day."
The girls blushed, thinking about what it would take to give him those kids. "How many would you like?" Amelia asked shyly, her face pink.
Harry hummed, pulling Andy closer. "Hmm... Perhaps six."
"Six?! Like six kids each!" Lily squawked.
Harry chuckled. "Well, if you would like me to give you six kids on your own, Lills, you only have to ask," he said, giving her a wink that made her face turn as red as her hair. "However, I was thinking more like two from each of you, if you were all willing."
Lily let out a breath. "Oh, thank God. I don't know if I could handle six." The others chuckled.
"I think I can manage two," Amelia said thoughtfully. "Just don't think we're stopping having fun after the kids are born," she added slyly, making Harry blush this time.
"Never," he whispered, sending a shiver down their spines. "What do you girls plan for after school?"
"Oh, I would love to become an Unspeakable. Learning all that cool magic and more about our world and the magic in it," Lily said dreamily.
Harry chuckled. "Yeah, I can see that. What about you, Amelia? Still want to be an Auror?"
She smiled, pleased that he remembered. "Yes, I do. I want to be able to help protect others, you know."
He nodded. "And as I said before, I will help any way I can." He smiled at her when she gave him a beaming smile. He nudged Andy in his lap and looked down at her. "And you, love?"
She smiled up at him, touched that he would ask. She leaned up and kissed his chin. "I would like to be an enchantress. I want to make things that no one else ever has before."
Harry's smile widened. "Really, what a coincidence." She raised an eyebrow at him. "As you know, I went to Egypt this summer. While there, I found some books on enchanting and got interested in it. I was thinking of doing the same."
Andy's eyes flashed with excitement. "Really? Do you think we could start our own shop together someday?" she asked excitedly.
Harry smiled at her and leaned down, kissing her forehead. "I would love that."
(End of flashback)
He felt a small smile come to his lips at the thought. He couldn't wait to help each of his girls achieve their goals however he could. He hated politics but had decided to take up his seat so that
he could help Amelia pass laws. She wanted to become the head Auror, and he was determined to help her somehow.
He was dragged from his thoughts as the door to the compartment was slammed open wide. The three girls snapped awake, looking wildly around. Harry looked to the door and had to suppress a groan. James Potter was standing there with a look of rage on his face. He could see Sirius trying to pull him back to no avail. Peter was behind them, shaking in fear.
"Lily, how could you! You're supposed to marry me, not that loser!" he shouted.
Harry could hear Lily's teeth grinding along with the other girls in the compartment. He wisely chose not to say anything and just let things play out as they were. Why couldn't Potter just understand that he couldn't always get what he wants? Not to mention the fact that he couldn't force someone to like him back.
"Potter, you need to leave now," Lily growled, and Harry knew they were about to see the Evans temper come out. It was a very rare occurrence in his presence, but Potter was pushing it.
"No, enough is enough, you are coming with me where you belong," James said imperiously.
Harry exchanged a look with Frank and Remus. This was not going to end well for the brunette boy. It seemed Sirius realized it was too late to save his friend and chose to save himself this time. He quickly ducked out of the door, pulling Peter with him.
Lily slowly pulled Harry's arms off her and got to her feet. A dark cloud seemed to be hanging over her head along with the other girls. "What did you just say to me?" she asked, her voice dangerously low.
"I said you are coming with me to my compartment. It is time I took you away from these filthy dark wizards and brought you into the light and by my side, where you belong," he said with a smile as if he were offering the best option ever.
Harry watched in both fear and awe as five blasts of light struck Potter in the chest, throwing him out into the wall across from them. He winced as he heard him thump against the far wall and slump down. Lily flicked her wand again, and the door slammed shut. He could see Sirius peek into the window. His face was as white as freshly fallen snow, his eyes as wide as dinner plates, looking like a house elf. He quickly ran to James and hauled him off.
Harry reached out and grabbed her by the waist, pulling her back down to his lap. She turned her face into his chest as she shook with anger and rage. Her breathing came in huffs. "Shhh..." Harry whispered, stroking her hair.
After a while, she calmed down some and just sat there. "Thank you, Harry," she murmured.
Harry chuckled into her hair. "Remind me not to get you girls angry."
The three playfully smacked him and resumed their positions on his arms. He smiled as he heard their breathing even out once more. The others had all gone back to what they were doing, however, he noticed the other two guys looking rather pale. He shook his head a bit and looked back out the window.
As they rode on, he thought back to the last few weeks. Another three attacks had been committed in a few other muggle villages. One in particular was a bridge in London going down. So far, no attacks had been committed against a magical person from what he was aware of, but he knew it was only a matter of time. He sighed as he looked down at the girls again. He needed to get stronger so he could protect his girls, his loved ones. He made a plan to start using the Room of Requirement again, and if the spells were too damaging, then he would use the Chamber. It was time to really step up his game.
Harry met up with Cyrus and Isabella one afternoon, two weeks after the start of the year. Isabella was in a corner, laughing and talking with his three girls. He smiled at them as Cyrus made a move. Amelia looked over and caught his eye. She gave him a beautiful smile that he returned. He was glad they got along from the word go.
(Flashback)
"Harry, this is Isabella Blackwell. Isi, this is Harry Pendragon," Cyrus introduced them.
"Ms. Blackwell, it is a pleasure to meet you. Please, call me Harry," he said, kissing her hand gently. The Blackwell family was a relatively new pureblood line in the isles. Isabella was a picture of beauty, much like his own girls. Long platinum blonde hair, ice blue eyes, pale porcelain skin, and a figure that most girls would die for. She was in the same year as Cyrus and Andy.
She gave him a small smile. "It is a pleasure, Mr. Pendragon. Cyrus has told me a great deal about you."
"Ah, all good things I hope?" he asked with a smile. "After all, it's all he can talk about it seems when we have our chess games."
She nodded with a smile. "Of course."
Harry turned slightly to the girls. "Now then, let me introduce you to my lovely ladies here. We have Andromeda Black, over here is Amelia Bones. Last but certainly not least is Lily Evans. Girls, this is Cyrus Greengrass."
Cyrus moved over and greeted each one of them with a kiss to the hand. "It is a pleasure to meet you all. Harry has told me nothing but good things."
"It's nice to meet you as well," they all chorused.
Before long, the four girls moved away as Harry and Cyrus started playing chess. Their laughter and giggling filled the air. "What do you think they're giggling about over there, Harry?" he asked as he glanced over to see them glance at the two of them and giggle before looking away.
Harry made his move. "Trust me, Cyrus, it is best not to think about it."
As if on cue, Isabella's voice came a little louder. "Your girls are so lucky. He's so cute. If I didn't have a contract already, I would try to join you with him."
Harry had to stifle a laugh at Cyrus's face. "Screw you, Pendragon."
(End flashback)
Harry made a move. "So, how's the bit?"
Cyrus glanced over at the girls. He knew that Harry could get all this from Andie but refused to put her in that position. The only thing keeping the snakes from her was a well-deserved fear of him. "Not good, Harry. Remember how I told you there were whispers of a dark lord rising?" Harry nodded, knowing where this was going. "Well, it seems it was true. I'm not sure if you have read the muggle news, but there have been attacks over the last month. They have only been in small villages, but it's getting worse. From what I have heard, it is only the beginning. They will start to attack Muggle-borns next. That's the guy's agenda. He is a pro-pureblood. They say he is the heir of Slytherin himself if you can believe it. Supposedly only those in his inner circle are allowed to see him, though, so I don't have much on the guy. However, it would seem that Malfoy is in on this whole thing and is recruiting here at school. It seems you were right when you figured it would be a good place to do so."
Harry sighed and glanced at Andie's smiling face. He nodded as he made another move. "Listen, mate. I would like you to keep an eye on Andie. If you even think something might happen to her, I want to know who. After that, you don't have to worry about it..."
Cyrus turned white at that. He hated to even think what he might do. He nodded his head a bit. "Yeah, alright, mate."
"Thanks, Cyrus, it means a lot," he said, making another move.
"Hey, you would do the same for me," he said defensively.
Harry chuckled. "True, I would. What else have you heard?"
Cyrus sighed. "Not much, if I'm being honest. They say Bellatrix and the Lestranges are in on it. Rabastan is one of Malfoy's biggest supporters in the campaign. However, he is as dumb as a post." Harry nodded, not noticing how Cyrus looked at him next. "Then there is Yaxley. He seemed pretty pissed about you marrying Andie. I'm not sure he will do anything, but I would just watch my back, okay?"
Harry nodded. "What did he say?"
Cyrus cleared his throat nervously. "Said she was supposed to be his. That you snatched her from under him and you would pay."
Harry snorted a bit at that. "Gods, the guy can barely hold a wand. How does he plan on that?"
Cyrus shrugged. "I don't know, mate. Get a bunch of guys together to attack you, I suppose."
Harry shook his head. "Well, I guess he can try, I suppose."
Cyrus nodded. "They are also saying that the attacks are not going to stop at Muggles and Muggle-borns. They said half-bloods and blood traitors will die too..."
Harry sighed. "Like I said, Cyrus, war is coming, but now it is at our doorstep. We can try to remain neutral in our dealings; however, sooner or later, we will have to choose a side. I'm going to start training the girls starting next week. If you and Isabella are interested, you can join us
. Remus will be there too."
Cyrus looked at him for a long moment. Finally, he nodded his head. "Alright, mate, we'll be there. I can't lose Isi, and you are the best person to help ensure I don't."
Harry gave him a small smile. It was hard to think that they might be in a war soon, but it was always good to be prepared. He had started to train himself even more vigorously over the last two weeks. The Room of Requirement was an amazing thing to help train. It even provided dummies that would fire spells back at you. So far, he could easily go up against three mid-grade dummies and one high-grade dummy at the same time. However, he knew he had to push himself way past his limits if he wanted to succeed. It was part of the reason he had turned down Flitwick's offer to continue to duel. It was good practice, but fighting against people his age really wasn't helping him.
He sighed as once again the giggling girls drew his attention. He smiled softly as he watched them laugh and joke. The next few years were going to be extremely hard. However, he was going to do his damnedest to make sure that they survived and were happy.
