LILIANNA'S POV

My dad and I returned to Robinson Industries shortly after I spoke to Uncle Raphael on the phone. I explained everything that had happened here to him, and he assured me he and Auntie Mona Lisa would hop on the next plane to Los Angeles to try to intercept Karena and the Magician there.

My dad and I found Wilbur, Cornelius, and a female cop I could only assume was Chief McDimples. We both walked up to her.

"Excuse me, Chief McDimples? My name is Dr. Donatello Hamato and I believe my daughter Lily can tell you what happened."

The female cop turned around to face us.

"This is a crime scene, Dr. Hamato," Chief McDimples replied. "Unless you were witnesses, I would suggest you stand aside."

"Excuse me, Chief," Cornelius chimed in. "Dr. Hamato and his daughter are with me."

"I'm sorry, Dr. Robinson, but my orders have been made clear."

"I have seen who took Karena Edwards!" I snapped angrily.

The chief turned towards me with shock on her face.

"Why didn't you report it to me first, ma'am?"

"Because I needed to see if my dad was okay," I answered. "But I assure you, the person who kidnapped Karena is a man named Carl Jackson. He kidnapped me in October."

"And you escaped?" Chief McDimples asked, finally putting a smile on her face. "I'm very impressed. Lily, is it? Please tell me what you know."

I told the chief my entire story, but not including my psychic powers, for I knew she would only giggle at me for them.

"This is a case for the FBI, then," the chief spoke when I finished. "I will contact them—"

"No!" Dad sternly interrupted her. "This is a personal investigation. We will absolutely not get the FBI involved, or Karena will never be found."

"And how will you ensure that, Dr. Hamato?"

"I know more about the Magician than anyone here. In fact, I know you were not originally from this world. You were a toy once: Officer Giggle McDimples of Pet Patrol in Miniapolis. You were Bo Peep's debutante in a small town in northern California until Karena and the Magician changed everything. I met Karena when she stumbled upon my world with a remote the Magician had invented for his evil deeds. I personally have assisted her in defeating the Magician and putting him behind bars in my world. Since our worlds' merging, the Magician has kidnapped my daughter and taken her away from me and my wife, and now he's taken Karena. He will not hesitate to kill her for stealing and destroying his precious remote. Trust me when I say that is the truth."

I looked into my dad's amber eyes to see if he was telling the truth, and he spoke true, as he always has.

"Please, Giggle," Dad pleaded. "Let us handle this investigation. My detective brother is scheduling a flight to the Magician's hideout as we speak. Please help these sentries ensure that all these students leave Robinson Industries safely. There's nothing else you can do except to continue ensuring the safety of Todayland."

"So how can I trust you, Dr. Hamato?" Chief McDimples asked, raising an eyebrow.

"I am one of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles who helped save New York City from invasion from time to time. I have dealt with kidnappings and other kinds of scenarios multiple times. We worked in the shadows, and that's what we will do now."

Chief McDimples pondered in thought, and then she let out a sigh.

"I think your story is poppycock, Dr. Hamato, but I believe you. No one else could make up that kind of a story. I am impressed that you know of my history. Do what you must."

"Thank you, Chief," Dad replied with a smile on his face. "Come on, Lily. Let's go home."

"We did all we can do here," Cornelius said, smiling down at his son. "Let's get some sleep, Wilbur."

I watched Wilbur's expression, and he looked extremely depressed.

"Wilbur, are you okay?" I asked.

"Lily, my girlfriend's been kidnapped. How do you think I feel?"

I bit my lip.

"Right. I'm sorry."

I put a determined look on my face.

"I promise I won't let anything happen to her."

Wilbur laughed sarcastically.

"What are you doing to do, take your dad's flying car and fly to Los Angeles?"

"I'll think of something."

"Lily, thank you, but there's nothing you can do."

"Lily Mae," Dad yelled from a distance. "Let's go!"

"Hang in there, Wilbur," I told him.

I hugged him, and he hugged me back.

"I'll see you on Monday," he told me.

"Yeah. See you then."

I could not sleep. I had fallen for the Magician's trap, and because of that, Karena had been kidnapped. I started to worry. I worried that Uncle Raph and Auntie Mona would not make it to California in time. I worried that Wilbur was going to break in his dad's time lab to take a time machine to follow Karena and the Magician. Lastly, I was worried that my dad was going to do nothing else regarding the situation.

I got out of bed, putting a determined look on my face. I changed out of my lavender nightgown and put on the same dress and cloak I wore on my vision quest. I put on my white mask and blended the tails of it into my braid. I walked out of my bedroom and walked to my dad's room to find him fast asleep. I kissed him on the forehead of his maskless face. I walked back into my bedroom and used ninja stealth to sneak out the window.

I continued to use my ninja stealth to sprint out of the city and to the Robinson Mansion. Thankful that my handprint still worked, I had access to the garage, and I found a beautiful blue flying car that looked like it hadn't been used in a while. I got in the car. I closed my eyes, trying to meditate myself into the Magician's mind.

"Where are you, Magician?" I asked.

I eventually sensed a psychic path that the Magician took out of Todayland. I started the car, and I learned very quickly how to drive it, driving out of the Robinson garage and eventually out of the city just before the sun rose.

DONATELLO'S POV

I woke up after a good night's rest. I smiled. I grabbed my T-Phone from my nightstand and sent April an "I love you" text. Then I grabbed my purple mask and put it on. I got out of bed and walked into the kitchen to start brewing a pot of coffee. Suddenly, I felt myself shivering.

"Goodness, it's cold in here!" I exclaimed. "There must be a window open."

I noticed all the windows in the kitchen and living room were closed. I knew my bedroom windows were closed, so I walked into Lily's room. Sure enough, there was a window open. Smiling, I walked across the room and closed the window. I took a glance over to Lily's bed… only to find it was already made.

"I wonder where she went?" I asked, rubbing my bald green head.

I went back into the kitchen and grabbed my T-Phone. I was prompted to call my daughter to make sure she was safe.

"Hello?"

"Hey, Lily, it's Dad."

"What's up, Dad?"

"So where are you?" I asked. "It was cold in the apartment, so I closed your bedroom window, and I found your bed was made. I'm just checking to see if you were okay."

"Oh, yeah! Yeah, I'm fine. Thanks for closing my window. I was hot and couldn't sleep."

"So where are you? Are you at the Robinsons?"

"Yes! Yes, I am at the Robinson House."

I felt my phone buzzing, and I found Wilbur calling me.

"Hey, Lily Mae, I have another call coming. I'll call you back."

"Okay. I love you."

"I love you too."

I ended my call with Lily and answered Wilbur's call.

"Donatello."

"Hey, Don. It's Wilbur. Just out of curiosity, did you stop by my house this morning?"

I put a confused look on my face.

"I just woke up. And besides, Lily told me she's with you."

"What? No, she isn't. It's just me. Anyway—"

"Wait a minute," I interrupted him, feeling shocked at his revelation. "What do you mean, no she isn't?"

"I mean she is not here, Don. Did she tell you something different?"

"Yes, she told me she was at your house!"

"Hmm. Well, I was calling you because one of the time machines is missing. And now you're telling me that Lily lied to you?"

"Do you think the two are connected, Wilbur?" I asked, my shock slowly turning into anger.

"Hold on. I have a scanner. Maybe I can scan the hand scanner, see who last had access to the garage."

I waited a few moments, feeling hurt that my daughter lied to me regarding her whereabouts.

"Uh, Don? Lily was here early this morning."

"How early?" I asked.

"Five o'clock."

"So that's why her bedroom window was open!" I yelled angrily. "So Lily must have taken the time machine and lied to me when I called five minutes ago. But why?"

"I don't know. I hope she has a good reason for it."

"She'd better, or I'm kicking her shell all the way to New York. Thank you, Wilbur."

I hung up the phone, and then I called my daughter again.

"Hey, Dad!"

"Lilianna Mae Hamato, first of all, where the SHELL are you?" I asked angrily. "Wilbur called and told me you took one of their time machines!"

"Oh, crap. You found out. Well, I couldn't just sit there and do nothing, Dad. So I snuck out the window, sprinted to the Robinsons, and I'm now driving the time machine and following the Magician's trail."

I was trying so hard to control my temper, and I was losing.

"Lily, do you have any idea how foolish that is?" I screamed. "Not only did you steal the time machine from the Robinsons, but you are driving ILLEGALLY!"

"What matters right now, Dad? Getting Karena back safely or the things I did wrong?"

"What matters, Lilianna, is your safety. You have made the most foolish decision possible by venturing off on your own when you. Do not. Know how. To drive."

"Dad, using the time machine is easy—"

"Lilianna Mae Hamato, get your butt back here NOW!"

"Negative. I'm staying on the Magician's trail. Lily out."

"LILY!"

My daughter hung up on me. I grunted loudly in anger before calling my brother.

"Sup?"

"Raph, Lily's gone."

"WHAT?!"

"Lily took a flying car and left to find the Magician on her own!" I panicked.

"What was she thinking?" Raphael replied, sounding just as panicked as I was.

"Are you in California right now?"

"No, but Mona and I are waiting to board the plane to head to LA."

"There's no way you guys will get there in time to stop Lily."

I let out a frustrated sigh.

"I'll join you there. I need to follow her to be sure she doesn't do anything stupid. See you soon, Raph."

I hung up, immediately grabbed my naginata and my purple cloak, and I went out of the apartment to get into my purple flying car. I turned on my tracker in my T-Phone to track my daughter. I grunted in disbelief when I discovered she had just passed Boise, Idaho going southbound.

Los Angeles, California, USA

KARENA'S POV

I woke up with a massive headache and found myself chained up against the wall.

"Where am I?" I asked groggily.

"Does this look familiar to you?" a male voice asked.

I looked around at my surroundings. I let out a gasp when I recognized the very room I was held captive: the same room Donnie revived me and April in with borrowed spirit powers all the way back in 2013. Which meant that I was in the very high school I graduated from in Los Angeles, and my kidnapper was none other than my sworn enemy, the Magician.

"Why did you bring me here, Magician?" I asked. "This is a new low for you, kidnapping me in a ball gown."

"For revenge, of course," the Magician answered with a smug smile. "You ruined my life by stealing my remote, and the Turtles ruined my life by keeping me in that jail cell in New York."

"You did that yourself!" I snapped. "Was Donatello the initial victim in all of this? You had no right bringing his family into this!"

"No, dear Karena. It was always you. But when I couldn't find you, my focus turned to the Turtles. I first went to their home underground, but no one was there. However, I recognized April O'Neil on Channel 6. I followed her home, which was father than I expected. My plot became juicy sweet when I saw her kissing the purple-masked turtle! I had told my men to kidnap Donatello to draw you out, but they found his precious daughter and kidnapped her instead. Unfortunately for them, she escaped. I had plotted to kidnap both her and Donatello myself, but only found April at their house. I went to the Turtles' lair one day when no one was home, and I hacked into Donatello's laptop. I found a video of his daughter trying out for cheerleading and figured out you were in Todayland, where you met the Robinson family. After discovering that Donatello's daughter holds a special power, I tricked her into believing I was kidnapping her father, and then I disrupted your winter ball and finally took you away!"

"What are you going to do with me?" I angrily asked. "Is this a trap for Donatello?"

"Yes, and once Donatello is trapped, his brothers will come to free him, only to find I have set traps for them as well."

"I hate to burst your bubble, but if you were thinking of sending them to different dimensions like last time, then it's impossible. I moved to the future, where all worlds merged together."

"Which would explain why you never aged," the Magician replied. "It was very clever of you to disappear from the face of the earth until I discovered you were a student in Doctor Donatello Hamato's class in Todayland."

I watched as the Magician pulled out a remote, which looked very similar to the remote I carried in 2013!

"And now, my dear, I will send you to a dimension you will forever be trapped in."

In the blink of an eye, the remote somehow escaped the Magician's grip.

"WHAT?!" he exclaimed. "What is this sorcery?"

I watched the Magician trying to grab his remote to my amusement, and it floated. To my surprise and horror, it landed in Lilianna's hand!

"LILY!" I screamed. "Get out of here!"

"But… but… how did you do that? And how did you find me?"

"I have powers," Lily answered with a smug smile. "And I've been practicing how to use them."

"Well, I was hoping Donatello would find Karena here, but you'll do fine, girl, especially for escaping my grasp."

"I won't let you hurt her, Magician," Lily boldly replied. "By the time my father arrives, you will have already been beaten."

"No, you will be the one who will be beaten!"

"We'll just see about that," Lily taunted him.

The kunoichi drew her bo staff out of the sheath she wore over her white dress, and she positioned herself to fight. The Magician magically grabbed his cane out of thin air. They both yelled battle cries, and they threw their first strikes at each other.

APRIL'S POV

I was, once again, watching the television with my nieces and nephew, along with Karai and Leo. Mikey was working at his restaurant, so his presence was missed. Raph and Mona were on their way back to California to assist in rescuing Karena. My thoughts were interrupted when I heard my T-Phone ring. I grabbed it to find my husband calling, so I left the living room and headed into his old bedroom.

"Hey, D. Any luck on Karena?"

"I'd have better luck finding our daughter. I'm tracking her as we speak."

"Oh don't tell me she got kidnapped too!"

"No. She snuck out early this morning and she's DRIVING A FLYNG CAR TO LOS ANGELES ALONE!"

I winced at Donnie's tone. He was not a happy turtle.

"What is Lily trying to prove here?" I asked. "It's dangerous for her to be out and about."

"April, if any law enforcement officer finds Lily driving without a permit, she will be going to jail! She's never driven a car before!"

"Do you need me to fly out there?"

"April, it's too far. And besides, Raph and Mona are already on a plane. Unless you somehow gained the ability to fly, you would be too late trying to reach us."

"Well, maybe I can call Lily and have her meet you at a destination?"

"Then who would drive the flying car back to Todayland?"

"Karena would when you guys rescue her, but I realize you have a point."

"Oh hey, I didn't think of that either."

I heard my husband letting out a frustrated sigh.

"I absolutely dislike what Lily did this morning," Donnie told me. "But maybe this is part of some big plan God has for us today."

"Maybe. I think right now, Donnie, Lily is in God's hands. Keep following her, D. Make sure she's safe."

"I plan on it. She's going to get a good lecture from me when I catch up to her."

"Just relax, Donnie. Being angry isn't going to get you anywhere. I love you."

"I love you too."

We hung up. I walked back into the living room and tapped on Leo's shoulder.

"Leo, may we talk in the dojo?" I asked. "And Ryan, could you please come with us?"

"Um, sure," Ryan replied with some hesitance.

Leo and Ryan followed me into the dojo, and we all sat down.

"What do you want to talk about, April?" Leo asked.

"Donnie just called. Lily is trying to save Karena on her own, and Donnie's following her."

"Oh, geez."

Leo shook his head while Ryan laughed.

"Dad, you were so worried about me going out there," Ryan said, still laughing. "Looks like Lily and I had the same idea."

"This is not funny at all, Ryan," Leo replied angrily. "Your cousin is in danger because she made the decision to go after the Magician on her own."

"Lily's my daughter, Leo!" I chimed in with a panicked voice. "I can't just sit here and do nothing!"

"I'm going to hate saying this, April, but if Lily is going to survive, Donnie is the only one who can help her. Raph and Mona are in the air."

"Wait, what about Renet? She has a time scepter. Maybe she can help!"

"I'm sorry, April."

We all jumped upon hearing Renet's voice.

"I'd love to, but the time scepter is only used for travelling through time, not teleporting myself from one place to another."

"Why don't we use one of Uncle Donnie's inventions to get to California?" Athena suggested.

"Neither the Shellraiser nor the Party Wagon are fast enough to get there," Leo replied, hanging his head down.

"Not even the Turtle Blimp?" Athena asked, still carrying hope in her voice.

"Ask yourself that again, dear," Renet replied. "Do you know what a blimp is?"

"I know it's a transportation vehicle in the sky."

"Yes, but it's slower than an airplane," Leo chimed in. "It's often used to promote sports teams, or us in this case."

"Oh," Athena replied sadly, hanging her head down.

"Thank you for trying, Athena," I told her, putting my hand on her shoulder.

"I guess we can't use the Turtle Rocket?"

"No, that was a one-time deal," Leo replied. "And the go-karts are definitely not fast enough."

"Patrol Buggy," Athena and I corrected him at the same time.

"Athena, how do you know about Uncle Donnie's inventions?" I asked with curiosity.

"Uncle Donnie showed them to me one day. I was peeking around inside the Shellraiser and accidentally turned it on. I remember how angry Uncle Donnie was, but when I said I was sorry, he looked at me with compassion in his eyes and showed me everything."

I laughed, remembering that Athena was Michelangelo's daughter. She was curious, but she had shown wisdom at such a young age.

"Wait! I know! What if we used those portals Uncle Donnie and Dad used to collect?"

We all turned towards Athena with shock and surprise on our faces.

"Why are you all staring at me?" Athena asked with uneasiness in her voice.

All we could do was smirk at each other. We finally had a plan.

Los Angeles, California, USA

LILIANNA'S POV

My fight with the Magician was very different from my sparring sessions with my family. We both had a staff of some sort. We attacked each other offensively, and we also defended ourselves from each other. My personal goal was to get him away from Karena. I managed to attack him to the point where we were dueling outside the boiler room and up the stairs to the first floor of Theodore Roosevelt High School.

I continued to push the Magician away from the boiler room. I performed many tricks with my bo staff, twirling it behind me, in front of me, and on each side. I did have to block an attack by the Magician once in a while. I had yet to take a hit from the Magician in the hour we had been sparring each other.

Suddenly, the Magician took a punch to the face. I stood in confusion.

"What just happened?" I asked.

"Lily! You're okay!"

I turned to my left to see none other than Athena Hamato emerging from a portal of some sort.

"Athena!"

My youngest cousin ran up to me and hugged me, and I hugged her back.

"Sweet dress!" Athena complimented me.

"What are you doing here?" I asked, laughing with surprise. "How did you get here?"

"I found portable portals in your dad's box in his lab," Athena explained. "We wanted to help."

"We?" I asked with a smirk and a raised eyebrow.

"Lily, you're okay!"

This time, I turned to my right to see my uncle Leonardo emerging from a portal. Soon enough, I was surrounded by portals, and we were joined by Venus, Ryan, Auntie Karai, and Auntie Renet. One more portal opened, and I watched my mother emerge.

"Mom!"

I ran to her and hugged her.

"Lily, thank heavens you're alright!" Mom exclaimed, hugging me back. "Your dad was worried sick about you! Is your dad here?"

"No, but I know he's been following me. He should be here in... three hours?"

"Did you find Karena?" Uncle Leo asked me.

"Yes, she's downstairs in the boiler room, chained up against a wall."

"We're here to help, Lily," Ryan said with a smile. "What do you need us to do?"

I returned the smile to my oldest cousin, appreciating the respect.

"Auntie Renet and Athena, take your portal to Todayland and get Wilbur Robinson," I told them. "He's my height with a black cowlick. You can't miss him. Take him here through that same portal."

I turned to Auntie Karai and Uncle Leo

"You two head on down to the boiler room and free Karena from her chains. Afterwards, find a safe way to bring her outside to the flying car I drove. Auntie Renet and Athena will eventually return with Wilbur, and he can take Karena home using that flying car."

I took the remote I telepathically grabbed from the Magician and put it in Venus' hands.

"Venus, Ryan, your job is to destroy this. This is the Magician's ultimate weapon. He was planning on transporting Karena to another dimension. He must not get this back. Go to Cornelius Robinson through the portal. He must destroy it. I believe in you."

The last person I turned to was my mother.

"Mom, we need to find the Magician's laptop and turn it into the LAPD. The Magician planned Karena's kidnapping all along. Dad and I were Guinea pigs."

"The Magician also was the head conspirator in kidnapping you," Mom replied. "He needs to be put behind bars. Once I retrieve the laptop, I will head to LAX and find Uncle Raph and Auntie Mona. They should be landing within the next hour."

Mom paused.

"I think. I think the clocks changed."

"You literally transported through a portal from Eastern Time straight to Pacific Time. The clock turned back three hours for you."

"Lily, what will you do?" Uncle Leo asked.

"The Magician is mine, Uncle Leo. This is my fight."

"I don't like this, but I understand. Kōun o, Lilianna."

"Kōun o!" We all replied together.

Todayland, North Montana, USA

ATHENA'S POV

"Are you ready, dear?" Mom asked with a grin.

"Let's do this!" I replied enthusiastically.

I took the portable portal out of my pocket and hovered it over my head. I pushed the button to activate the portal, and the door appeared. Mom and I went through the portal. We found ourselves in the most beautiful city I have ever seen.

"Whoa!" we gasped in awe.

"This must be Todayland," I said out loud, admiring everything about this city. "I remember Lily sending me pictures."

"We can tour this city later," Mom replied. "We need to find Wilbur. But how do we find him?"

"Wait, I just remembered something! Wilbur and Cornelius are father and son, and Cornelius is one of the richest men in the world. There must be a mansion or some sort somewhere!"

"You don't say," Mom said.

I turned in her direction, and sure enough, there was a mansion straight ahead of us. I did not hesitate to follow my mom towards the mansion. It took us an hour to get there, but we finally found the front door.

"Hey, ring my doorbell!"

"AH!!" We screamed at the same time.

A man had just popped out of the plant.

"No, ring my doorbell!" another man from the opposite plant told us. "Come on, come on, ring it."

I drifted off toward the doorbell on the left, and we jumped to trumpets surrounding us. We hung on to each other for our dear lives!

"That doesn't count," the man in the right pot told his brother.

"Yes, it does," the man in the left retorted.

The door opened behind us, and there was an octopus greeting us!

"AH!!" We screamed again.

We ran away from the front door and ran around to the backyard.

"So much for looking for Wilbur at the mansion!" Mom yelled in fright.

"So what's plan B?" I asked.

"It's Sunday, so I don't think Wilbur's at school," Mom answered. "Right now, let's just pray we find someone outside!"

"Wait, Mom, there's someone there!"

I pointed toward a man wearing a costume in front of what looks like a spaceship.

"Perfect!" Mom replied. "Let's ask him for help."

"HEY!" We yelled. "Can you help us?"

"Are you alright?" the man asked us once we approached him. "Are you lost?"

"We're trying to find Wilbur Robinson," I answered.

"Just take this travel tube here to his room," the man told us. "He should be on that chargeball set he loves."

"Thank you very much," Mom replied with a smile. "Well, Athena, let's go."

"Wait!"

We turned around to face the man.

"You're Athena? Michelangelo's daughter?"

"Yes," I answered with surprise in my voice. "You've heard of me?"

"Lily has spoken highly of you. I'm Art Framagucci. I'm Wilbur's uncle. Lily is a wonderful kid."

"Yes, she is," I replied, putting a smile on my face.

I followed my mom up the travel tube, and I screamed the entire way. I ended up landing right on top of my mom in a bedroom.

"Okay, that hurt," I said, wincing in pain.

"What on earth?" I heard a younger male exclaim.

I watched him run towards us. He had a black cowlick and brown eyes, and he was wearing blue jeans and a black shirt with an upside down lightning bolt.

"Are you alright?" the boy asked in alarm.

"You're the Wilbur Robinson that Lily talks so fondly about!" I said excitedly, shaking his hand. "I'm Athena Hamato, Lily's cousin."

"And I'm Renet," Mom said, shaking Wilbur's hand. "I'm Michelangelo's wife and Athena's mother."

"Is Lily okay?" Wilbur asked.

"Lily's fine," I answered. "In fact, she sent us to find you. We need to take you to Los Angeles."

"I'd like to," Wilbur replied. "But I'd be breaking in my dad's time lab to retrieve the prototype time machine."

"No need," Mom said with a smile. "We've got this."

I took out the portal and displayed it to Wilbur. The door opened again.

"WHOA!" Wilbur exclaimed happily. "Okay, this is cool! Did Don invent this?"

Mom and I glanced at each other.

"Actually, it was the Kraang," I answered, biting my lip. "Now come on!"

I grabbed Wilbur's arm and dragged him through the portal back to Los Angeles.

Los Angeles, California, USA

KARENA'S POV

I was thankful for Lily arriving when she did to drag the Magician away from me. At the same time, I was worried. The Magician was stronger than he looked. But so was Lily. If Wilbur had faith in her, then so did I.

An hour had passed, and I started to grow frustrated. Was Lily going to return from her fight with the Magician? Or was the Magician going to overpower her in her very first fight outside her training? My thoughts were interrupted when I heard two voices coming: a man and a woman. But I knew it was not the Magician and Lily.

"Hello?" I yelled out.

"In there!"

The voice sounded familiar. Words could not describe how I felt when I discovered who had found me.

"Leo?!" I exclaimed with laughter. "Oh my gosh! And Karai! What are you two doing here?"

"We're here to free you, Karena," Karai answered. "Hold on."

Leo drew both his katana blades and cut the chains off the walls. The cuffs were still on me, but I grinned when I had my freedom anyway. But then I laughed when I remembered I was still wearing my blue gown.

"Hey, guys, could you get these off me?" I asked sheepishly. "I don't think metal cuffs are a good look with this dress."

Leo laughed in response.

"Allow me," Karai said.

To my horror, I watched Karai transform into some kind of snake! I screamed, afraid she was going to hurt me instead of free me.

"Karena, calm down!" Leo yelled. "Karai's helping you!"

"SHE'S A SNAKE!" I screamed.

"I do not want to harm you, Karena," Karai hissed. "Trust me. Stay still."

I screamed again when Leo held me tightly against his plastron.

"Go ahead, Karai," Leo told his wife.

I closed my eyes tightly when Karai spit out some sort of venom. I eventually felt the cuffs loosen, and I finally felt completely free.

"Huh?"

I looked down, and the cuffs were indeed off. I looked back up and watched Karai turn back into her human self.

"How... how did you do that?" I asked with a frightened voice.

"I was used as bait for the Shredder to lure the Turtles into a trap," Karai explained. "Leo tried to free me from falling into a vat of mutagen. Shredder saw his chance and tried to slay Leo. Instead, he broke the chain that held me, and I fell, transforming into a serpent. But Baxter Stockman made a mistake in the mutagen. There was some kind of retro-mutagen in it, so I was able to turn back into my human form if I wished. The only time I will ever be thankful for Stockman and Shredder was when they made a special mutagen to make my transformations between my human and serpent forms more bearable. I will never be cured of it."

"Does that mean... Ryan is part-snake?" I asked, still frightened.

"Unfortunately, yes," Leo answered. "Ryan's skin is as pale, tough, and scaly as a snake's. But do not worry. Ryan does not bite. He is more like a humanoid turtle than he a snake."

"But enough about us," Karai chimed in. "Lily told us to take you outside to the flying car she took here. Renet and Athena could be back with Wilbur any second."

I followed Leo and Karai out of the boiler room and up the stairs. Before I could go outside, I caught a glimpse of Lily fighting the Magician. Before I could say anything, Leo grabbed my arm and dragged me outside.

"Leo, I should be helping Lily fight the Magician," I told him.

"Karena, you are in no condition to help," the blue-clad turtle replied. "I mean, look at you!"

I looked down, still wearing my blue gown.

"What was the occasion?" Karai asked with a smirk.

"Winter ball. The Magician must have kidnapped me while I was looking for Lily."

Suddenly, I saw a door appearing out of thin air. I gasped when I saw Renet and Athena coming through the door. I carried a big smile on my face when Wilbur was the last person to come through.

"Well, what do you know?" Wilbur asked with a smile. "This portal really works!"

"Wilbur!" I cried happily.

I ran into his arms, and he hugged me back.

"I feel underdressed," Wilbur said sheepishly. "I'm amazed the Magician let you keep that."

"Wilbur, from what Lily told us, it is an eight-hour drive back to Todayland," Renet told us. "And time is not on your side. You will lose two hours due to the time zones. If you leave now, you should be back in Todayland by midnight Central Time."

"Take the time machine Lily took," Leo suggested. "I have a feeling Donnie will be here soon to take her home."

VENUS'S POV

"Whoa!" I exclaimed when I saw the city in front of my eyes.

"Yeah, you can say that again," Ryan replied, also looking at the city in awe.

"How are we going to find Cornelius Robinson in that?" I asked. "Any suggestions, cousin?"

"All cities have a city hall. Let's try to find that."

Ryan and I ran into the city, and we discovered it was way ahead of New York in the field of modern technology. There were monorails, moving sidewalks, and transportation bubbles to name a few. We also noticed that there were quite a few robots roaming around the city. We took one look at each other, and we decided that a robot may be more willing to help. We approached one, and we tapped it on the shoulder.

"Excuse us, but could you guide us to Cornelius Robinson, please?" I asked.

"Cornelius Robinson is the head of Robinson Industries," the robot answered. "It's down there."

"Thank you!" Ryan and I yelled at the same time.

We started running until we saw a building shaped like an R.

"That's gotta be it," Ryan said. "There's no doubt about it."

"But Ryan, it's blocked off!" I replied, noticing the yellow police tape over the door.

"We need to find a way in. Ninja stealth."

I nodded my head, understanding what he was telling me. Using stealth and camouflage, I hid behind some bushes. Ryan gave me signals to scale the building, and I nodded in agreement. We snuck to the back of the building and scaled it until we reached the rooftops. We found the door leading inside and had no trouble getting in, thanks to my lock-picking skills. We then snuck around the top floor until we found Cornelius's office. I knocked on the door, hoping that he was in there. To our surprise, the door opened to reveal a man with blonde spiky hair wearing a lab coat over a blue vest and red pants.

"Excuse me, are you Cornelius Robinson?" I asked.

"I am," the man answered. "But how did you two kids get inside? The building is sealed off. Someone has been kidnapped outside the premises."

"That's why we're here," Ryan explained. "Lilianna Hamato sent us. We're her cousins."

Cornelius carried a look of surprise on his face.

"You two look nothing like your cousin! Come in."

Ryan and I followed Cornelius into his office, and we took seats across from his desk.

"Okay, I need you to introduce yourselves and tell me your purpose here."

"My name is Ryan, and I'm Leonardo's son. This is Venus, Raphael's daughter. I have inherited most of my dad's physiology and some of my mother's also. She was mutated into a serpent at some point in her life, which is why I look pale. Venus' mother is a humanoid salamander from a planet called Salamandria, and that's why Venus looks the way she looks: half-turtle and half-Salamandrian. Lily sent us here because she told us to give this to you."

I took out the remote Lily gave me and handed it to Cornelius. He had a look of shock on his face.

"I thought I burned this! How did Lily get a hold of this?"

"Lily found the Magician with this remote," I explained. "The Magician was going to use this remote to trap Karena, and all of us, in a dimension we could never escape. He planned everything."

"The Magician should never have left prison," Cornelius replied, shaking his head in disbelief. "Follow me."

We followed Cornelius out of the office and into some sort of chemistry lab.

"Put these on," Cornelius told us.

He handed us goggles, possibly to shield us from combustion. After he put his on goggles on, Cornelius started a fire, and he put the remote right in it. We watched in awe as the remote was burnt to a crisp, never to be used again.

APRIL'S POV

I went down to the boiler room after Lily and the Magician started fighting again. There was no one in the room, and I noticed broken cuffs on the floor. I blew a sigh of relief, knowing that Leo and Karai had set Karena free. I took a look around and found a desk with a laptop on it. I opened the laptop, only to find that it needed a password. I remembered Donnie teaching me how to hack into a computer. I took out a device that cracked any password possible, and with the blink of an eye, I was in.

I browsed through the Magician's history on his laptop. The more I researched, the sicker I felt. I discovered that the Magician created profiles of everyone in the family: the Turtles, their wives, and their children. He also created profiles of Karena and Wilbur. I read all of them, and I learned he had researched us well. The Magician discovered each of our strengths and weaknesses and how to react if he came in contact with them. I also discovered that he knew how to hack into Donnie's laptop back in the lair and found the video of Lily's cheerleading tryout on it. Another thing I discovered on his laptop that disgusted me was Donatello's profile at Todayland University, which revealed he had a daughter.

Lastly, I read through every detail of how the Magician was going to kidnap Karena, Wilbur, and my family and how to trap them in other dimensions. Smirking when I knew his plans would never have worked due to today's circumstances, I took the laptop out of Theodore Roosevelt High School and took the portal to LAX.

I got to LAX just in time for Raph and Mona to get off the plane. They both had surprised looks on their faces when they saw me.

"April?" Raph asked with shock in his voice. "How did you get here? What are you doing here?"

"Athena found portable portals in Donnie's things," I answered. "We hitched a plan to help Lily out, and so here I am."

"Did you find Karena?" Mona asked.

"Lily found her first. Then Leo and Karai freed her. I found the Magician's laptop in the boiler room at Theodore Roosevelt High School - the same place Karena graduated before moving to the future. Don't worry. The Magician is... too occupied to notice his laptop is missing."

"Well, let's sit down somewhere and take a look at it," Raph suggested.

"Could we possibly teleport back to the lair?" I asked.

"We need to see if Karena is okay," Mona replied.

"Athena and Renet found Wilbur in Todayland and brought him to Los Angeles to take Karena home. She's safe."

"What about Lily?" Raph asked. "What about Donnie?"

I closed my eyes to try to sense Donnie's presence.

"He's in California, but he's near Sacramento. Lily's fighting the Magician as we speak."

"Raphael, we need to help Lily," Mona prompted him.

"No, babe. This is Lily's battle. Right now, we need to find a safe spot to scroll through the Magician's laptop."

"Then I agree with April. We shall use the portal she found to return to the lair back home."

LILIANNA'S POV

The Magician woke up shortly after we had separated, and he did not hesitate to try to head back to the boiler room. Thanks to my instincts, I was able to flip around and block his way.

"Get out of my way, girl!" he shouted at me.

"If you wanna hurt Karena, you have to hurt me first!" I retorted back, taking out my bo staff and positioning it.

"Then so be it."

The Magician positioned himself with his cane. But instead of charging, he released some sort of magic from his cane. Remembering everything my dad taught me, I put my bo staff away and I thrust my hand forward, blocking his attack. Angered at my counter move, the Magician released more of his powers. I put my right hand on my temple, and with my left hand, I formed an invisible shield, protecting me from his attacks.

"That's impossible!" the Magician screamed at me. "What sorcery do you carry, witch?!"

"I am no witch," I replied boldly. "I am only a girl."

The Magician then charged. I concentrated on his body, and I read the moves he was going to use against me. I dodged away, avoiding all of his attacks with his cane. I took my bo staff out again and blocked an attack. I twirled it around and around as he continued to attack me. It was just like our first battle before my family showed up. Only this time, I was the one who had to be mindful of my surroundings.

"What makes you so special, girl?" the Magician asked as he continued attacking me. "You clearly know my every move and you have powers that I cannot understand."

"You're not me, Magician," I replied angrily. "How could you understand otherwise?"

"Whoever trained you has trained you well. But that will not get you far."

"Oh?" I replied, this time with a smirk. "Then how come you've done a poor job at keeping an eye on your prisoner?"

We both looked out the window to see Wilbur and Karena driving away in the time machine I took and drove here.

"NO!" the Magician screamed.

He tried to release a power from his cane to stop them, but I dropped my bo staff and thrust my hands forward, blocking the magic from getting out.

"What?!"

He turned toward me with rage written all over his face. He charged at me again, and I used my mind to pick up my bo staff from the ground. I grabbed it and blocked his attack.

"Who taught you?!" the Magician yelled at me. "Was it Donatello? Leonardo? April?"

"All three of them," I answered with a smirk, blocking his moves with my staff. "Plus five others."

"So you have been trained in ninjutsu your entire life and you have telekinesis to boost your skills. But that will not make you worthy enough to defeat me. Karena may have escaped, but you will make an excellent trophy."

"This isn't a game, Magician!" I shot back. "Whatever your purpose was with Karena, it is over now. If you're going to take me prisoner, then you'll have to kill me first. But know that I will die with honor."

"You have no honor, witch!"

"If my powers are causing you to call me a witch, then you're a witch too for creating magic. Come to think of it, my dad told me you were a fraud. Your magic isn't real. With that said, you have no right calling me a witch."

"You leave me no choice then, Lilianna."

I gasped as the Magician took out a gun. I quickly sheathed my bo staff and thrust both my hands forward to make an invisible shield. Unfortunately, the bullet hit the shield, giving me a massive headache. I screamed, releasing the shield. I fell down to my knees. I grabbed my bo staff and tried to block the second bullet, but the staff ended up breaking in two. Thankfully, I was not hurt. I stood up, and I thrusted my right hand forward, blocking the gun from firing.

"Are you kidding me?" the Magician grunted. "I had this full of bullets."

I watched in amusement as he opened his gun, and he found the bullets destroyed within the gun. He tossed it aside, realizing it was useless.

"Let's finish this once and for all!" the Magician yelled.

I positioned myself with the two broken halves of my staff. We charged at each other. We fought harder than we had been the past three hours.

"Lily?!"

"Dad?" I asked, hearing my father's voice downstairs.

Thankfully, I sensed the Magician preparing to strike, and I got out of the way in time. I continued blocking his attacks, and we continued to fight each other until I suddenly heard a loud grunt. I looked forward to see blood coming out of the Magician's mouth, and then I looked down.

I let out a loud gasp. The naginata blade had activated and punctured the Magician's stomach area. I pulled the blade out, and my foe fell. I put my fingers on his neck area. He was dead. After I realized what I had done, I felt the urge to scream.

"NOOOOO!"
