Okay, so I totally psyched myself when I said I wasn't going to do a reimagining for "Insanity." This is the part in the story where all the animals including Lily are acting crazy. Speaking of Lily, she learns something new about her powers, which I really enjoyed writing.

So a little recap about her powers since I never really wrote in detail about them. She discovered them at the very beginning of the book when she got kidnapped and learned how to read a person's mind. When she returned to New York for Christmas, her mother April trained her on how to move objects, her telekinesis. Her father Donnie taught her how to use her powers to focus, and that's how she nearly dodges everything. April taught her how to conduct a telepathic scan and Lily taught herself how to fly and how to recover a memory. And now, Donnie teaches her this new ability.

Without further ado, happy reading!

ATHENA'S POV

I woke up to shouting in the lair. Just as sudden as my being awaken, I heard hurried knocking on my door. It opened to reveal my frantic mother.

"Athena, I need your help!" Mom yelled. "Your uncles and aunts are fighting like savages in the dojo!"

"What? What about Ryan and Venus?"

"Them too! They're all fighting."

"I wonder what this is about."

I hurried out of bed, not bothering to change into normal civilian clothes, and I followed my mom into the dojo. And she was right. Out of the nine of us, seven of us were fighting each other, and they all acted like animals.

"Guys, stop it!" Mom yelled.

No one listened. They continued to fight.

"Mom, they're biting each other!" I yelled, witnessing Uncle Raph biting Uncle Leo. "Help me drive them apart!"

"That's going to be easier said than done!" Mom yelled in return.

I tried putting myself between Ryan and Venus, but it was to no avail. Ryan quickly shoved me aside and went right back to fighting Venus.

"Oh, what would Lily do?" I asked in a panic. "What would Aunt April do?"

APRIL'S POV

I felt myself turning over and putting my arm where my husband would normally be at. But then I suddenly woke up. Donnie was not in the bed. I glanced at my nightstand and found that it was five-thirty in the morning. It was the time Donnie normally woke up.

However, something felt odd about this morning. I got out of bed, put on my robe, and I went down the stairs and out of the house toward the barn. I peeked inside, expecting to see my husband drinking coffee and working on his experiments. But I did not see him in the lab.

"Something is wrong," I said out loud. "He's not in the house and he's not in the lab. Maybe he went to the lair."

I pulled out my T-Phone and tried to dial my husband.

"You have reached the voicemail of Dr. Donatello Hamato. I am unable to come to the phone right now, but please leave your name, number, and a brief message and I will return your call as soon as I can. Thank you!"

I heard a beep.

"Donnie, it's me. I can't find you and I'm worried about you. Please call me when you get this. I love you."

I hung up and tried dialing every member of the family in New York. Every single call went to voicemail except for one.

"APRIL, HI!"

"Renet, why are you yelling?" I asked. "Is everything alright?"

"NO! THE LAIR IS IN CHAOS! THEY'RE ALL FIGHTING EACH OTHER EXCEPT FOR ATHENA AND ME. WE'RE FINE, BUT THERE'S ONLY SO MUCH WE CAN DO."

"Is Donnie down there by any chance?"

"NO, HE'S NOT HERE. MAYBE HE WENT TO TODAYLAND."

"At five-forty-five in the morning? But it's only four-forty-five over there! But I'll give that a try. Maybe I'll call Lily."

"GOOD LUCK!"

Renet hung up.

"Alright, maybe Lily will know."

I tried calling my daughter.

"Hi, this is Lily. Please leave a message after the beep. Bye!"

I hung my head down. But I understood why.

"Hey, Lily, it's Mom. Hey, would you pick up your phone and call me back? I'm worried about your father and your family. Renet says your family is fighting each other and I don't think that's normal. I love you."

JUSTINE'S POV

I woke up to a series of loud noises. I immediately became frightened because they sounded so close. I got out of bed and walked over to Lily's room. I let out a loud gasp at what I saw: Lily was jumping all around her room.

"Lily, what are you doing?" I yelled.

However, Lily did not hear me. In fact, Lily was acting very strange, like she was a dog running wild. I rolled up the sleeves of my nightgown and prepared myself to intervene. I found a pair of sunglasses on Lily's desk and put them over my eyes. Then I grabbed Lily from behind. Lily immediately turned around and started to fight with me, struggling to pin me down.

"Lily, snap out of it! This isn't you! Become Aumanil!"

I tried spinning Lily around in place, but she was stronger than she looked. I was thankful for my lessons in lasso-throwing. I ran out of the room with Lily right on my tail and I fetched my lasso. Using some acrobatics that I hadn't used in a while, I was able to successfully lasso Lily and trap her. Lily grunted while she tried to escape but I held on tight. I twirled her around many times until I felt the spinning would be effective. I went to the opposite side of the room and tugged the rope as hard as I could, forcing Lily to spin around.

The trick worked! The blind light appeared and Lily was now Aumanil. She immediately screamed, falling to her knees and covering her ears.

"Justine, HEADPHONES!" Aumanil screamed.

I dug into my chest and found a pair of pink headphones. I placed them on Aumanil's head and she immediately stopped screaming.

"Oh, much better!" Aumanil exclaimed. "Thank you."

"What happened?" I asked.

"When you transformed me into Aumanil, I heard sonic blasts affecting my brain. That was why I asked for the headphones."

Suddenly, my phone rang. I walked to my desk and picked it up.

"Hello?"

"Justine, it's April. Is Lily awake?"

"Yes, but she's not really in a position to talk to you right now. May I take a message?"

"No, this is an emergency. I can't find Donnie!"

"What?!"

"What's going on?" Aumanil asked. "Who is it?"

"It's April," I replied, putting the call on speakerphone. "Donnie's gone."

"Oh, no."

"Renet explained that everyone's fighting in the lair," April continued. "Something's wrong."

"Something's wrong here, too," I replied. "I woke up to Lily bouncing around in the dorm and I tried stopping her. We fought. I had to use skills I've learned as a cowgirl to transform her into Aumanil. She's wearing headphones as a result of sonic blasts. If she takes them off, then she'll be hurt."

"This is all very strange," April replied. "But Lily's okay?"

"She is now."

I realized something.

"April, Lily's a psychic, and she told me she got her powers from you. Are you affected at all?"

"No, I woke up fine. But I'm mostly worried about Donnie and the others. Renet and Athena are fine, but everyone else in New York are fighting each other. And I can't find Donnie anywhere! Renet thought he was there with you all."

"Sorry, April, we haven't seen him."

"Wait, April, did I hear you right in that Athena and Renet are okay?" Aumanil asked.

"Uh, yes. Why? And why are you calling me by my real name?"

"I'm Aumanil, remember? But I have a theory. These sonic blasts may only have impacted mutants."

"But I'm a mutant and I'm fine."

"Maybe the blasts only involve mutants who are animals," I suggested. "April, obviously all four Turtles are affected. Lily is part-turtle, and that is why she was affected. What about everyone else in your family?"

"Karai was born a human who mutated into a snake. Because of her mutation, Ryan was born part-turtle, part-human, and part-snake. Mona Lisa was born on the planet Salamandria and was born a mutant salamander. She married Raph, which means Venus is part-turtle, part-human, and part-Salamandrian. Athena SHOULD be part-turtle also because her father is Michelangelo. And yet she wasn't affected."

"So it's possible that Athena is only, say, ninety percent human and ten percent turtle?"

"Athena has been fortunate, that's for sure."

"So here's what I'm thinking, and Aumanil, I hope you'll be okay with this. We'll both travel to New York. Aumanil will go to North Hampton to find Donatello. I'll help you, Renet, and Athena with the Turtles and their family."

"That's fine with me."

"Me too," Aumanil replied.

"Justine, I'll teleport to Todayland and then bring you with me to New York. But one more thing: thank you for protecting Lily's dual-identity. You're a true friend."

"Anytime, April. I'll see you soon."

LILIANNA'S POV

I took the portal back home to try to find my dad. Thankful for my powers, I was able to find his psychic trail. I had to retrace my steps.

Donatello's day had started in the bedroom. He had woken up earlier than normal.

"What woke me up?" he asked out loud. "Ah well. I guess I'll start the coffee."

My dad had then walked down the stairs and into the kitchen, preparing himself to start his day. I found the same pot of coffee he had started untouched. Suddenly, I heard him scream and grabbing his head.

"I need to get out of here!" Donnie had yelled out loud. "I don't want to hurt April!"

"Way to go, Dad," I said out loud. "You controlled yourself."

I went outside to continue following his trail. He never went to the lab and kept on going through the woods. I literally ran in his footsteps until I reached the mountain we both completed our vision quests on.

"Oh, Dad, I hope you're safe," I said out loud.

"Aumanil!"

I turned around suddenly to see my father's younger self in his purple cloak.

"Have you seen Donnie anywhere?" I asked the spirit.

"He's at the top of the mountain seeking solace. But he's not in his right mind. Something is wrong!"

"I know. I was affected, too. Don't worry, Father. I'm going to find him and bring him home."

"Be careful. We've been trained in ninjutsu all our life."

"So was I," I sternly replied.

I ran up the mountain and there were times where I had to fly. I was able to reach the top of the mountain where I found my father curled up in a fetal position.

"Donatello, it's me, Aumanil," I said with compassion. "Please let me take you home."

"You need to leave, Lily Mae, now!" Dad sternly replied.

"You've never left my side, Donnie. Why would I leave yours now?"

"I don't want to hurt you! Now go!"

"You'll have to throw me down first."

I had no choice but to prepare myself to fight my own father. My father charged at me, twirling his bo staff. I dodged every move. At some point in this battle of the bo staffs, my father's blade activated. I quickly sheathed my staff and prepared to defend myself. I blocked his blade with my bracelets.

"Donatello, I know you would sacrifice your life for me," I yelled. "Well, it's time for me to return the favor!"

I took off the headphones Justine gave me and placed them on my father's head. My father suddenly calmed down.

"What, what happened?" Dad asked with a weary voice. "Why am I so tired? Where am I? How did I get here?"

I heard very loud sonic blasts in my brain, and I screamed like a siren.

"LILY!" I heard Dad screaming.

I fell to the ground, covering my ears as my brain felt like it was slowly melting.

"Lily, you are the most powerful person I know," I heard Dad talking to me. "You're even more powerful than your mom. Try to blend the sonic blasts in with your psychic abilities!"

"I CAN'T!" I screamed.

"You can do it! I know you can!"

I let out a loud gasp, memories of my mom killing my dad coming into my mind. My dad had said those exact same words to her when she was controlled by Za-Naron all those years ago. I stood up, unsheathed my katanas, and placed them in a position where the sun would strike. I continued to scream as I felt the sun's rays flowing through me.

Suddenly, everything was calm. My brain no longer felt like a scrambled egg. I found myself lying on the ground feeling very tired. I felt myself shaking. I looked up to see my dad smiling down at me.

"Are you okay?"

I sat up, placing my left hand on my forehead.

"I... I think so. What was that?"

"Clearly, they were sonic blasts," Dad explained. "But it only affects mutants. I was surprised your mom didn't react to them at all."

"Because neither April nor Athena are animal mutants."

"Athena isn't? How? Uncle Mikey is her father."

"I don't know. Athena must have more human DNA than we thought. Renet's okay too because she's not a mutant at all."

I let out a loud gasp.

"Oh my gosh! Justine!"

"What about Justine?" Dad asked.

"She's helping Mom in the lair! We need to go!"

New York City, New York, USA

DONATELLO'S POV

Aumanil and I took the portal to the lair to find chaos in the dojo. Renet, April, Justine, and Athena were trying to break up the various fights going on between family members.

"Okay, Aumanil, do you remember what we need to do?" I asked.

"Yes, Donnie, I do."

Aumanil stepped forward.

"Athena, Renet, Justine, April, cover your ears!" Aumanil shouted.

The four women did as they were told. I already had headphones on, so there was no need for me to cover my ears. Aumanil drew her katana blades, took a deep breath, and screamed. I felt the vibration of her sonic cries surrounding me as she countered the mysterious blasts that hit me before. As she continued to scream, my family started to calm down. Everyone was shocked when they woke up.

"What?!" Leo exclaimed in shock. "Raph?!"

"Leo?!"

They both dropped their weapons.

"Venus!"' Ryan shouted with widened brown eyes.

Venus loudly gasped, dropping her sais in horror.

"Ryan, I am so sorry! I wasn't myself."

"None of us were," Karai said, shaking her head.

"What hit us?" Mikey asked, rubbing his bald head.

"Sonic blasts," Aumanil answered. "Donatello and I were affected too."

"Lily, you fought your father?" Mona Lisa asked with a surprised voice.

"Aumanil saved me," I chimed in. "She sacrificed her sanity for mine."

"And then Donnie encouraged me to use the sonic blasts against themselves," Aumanil continued. "I saved myself."

"And you've saved all of us," Leo replied. "Thank you, Aumanil."

"Does that mean you now have some sort of sonic cry?" Athena asked. "That would be a cool power to have."

"I... don't know," Aumanil answered hesitantly.

North Hampton, New York, USA

April, Aumanil, and I all went home to North Hampton through the portal. Justine came with us to assist Aumanil because she knew her secret. As a matter of fact, Justine knew about as much I did about my daughter's powers after only a month. I promised myself I would speak with her later.

After I had sent an email to my students telling them there were no classes, I helped April and Justine set up a pile of logs that we did not need. I also equipped the three of us with headphones so that none of us would get hurt testing my theory.

"So let me get this straight: Lily unsheathed her katanas, had the sun hit them, and now she has this cry like a siren?" April asked in bewilderment.

"Yes, at least for now," I answered. "We do not know if this is a permanent power or if it can only be used in the presence of sonic sounds. Now, you cannot hear the sonic blasts themselves, but they are the most painful thing possible, even more painful than childbirth. In my case and my family's case, they behaved like animals."

"But somehow, you resisted," Aumanil replied. "How is that possible?"

"I didn't completely resist it, Lily Mae," I answered. "Somehow, I knew to get out so I couldn't hurt anyone, especially your mom. I can't really explain it."

Aumanil stared into my brown eyes, comprehending what was going through my mind. I didn't even have to think to know to get away. I just knew I did not want to hurt my family.

"You may not have a mental shield, Donnie, but you have a lot of mental resilience. I think living life with me and April has helped with this."

"Perhaps. But for now, let's test this out. There are no sonic blasts in the area. Well, at least surrounding us. Lily, try your siren's blast against these logs. Just take a deep breath, like you would when you sing, and just scream as loud as you can."

April, Justine, and I all ran away from the target. Aumanil spread her legs apart at shoulders' width with her right foot in front. She clenched her fists. She took a deep breath and she screamed, never closing her blue eyes. She looked very much like a lion as her cry broke the logs. She stopped screaming and took a few deep breaths.

"Are you alright?" April yelled.

"This power," Aumanil gasped. "Is so strong... that I need to catch my breath."

She paused, taking another deep breath.

"April, I think I'm going to preserve this power for when I absolutely need it."

"I agree," April replied. "Your siren cry used up all of your strength, physical and mental. It can save lives, or it can destroy lives. You need to be extra careful with it."

"Yes, that's exactly right," I chimed in, crossing my arms.

"There is one thing that worries me," Aumanil said with concern in her voice. "What if I become too powerful like April all those years ago? What if I become so powerful that I accidentally kill one of you?"

April and I glanced at each other and sighed. I walked ip to our daughter and put a hand on her left shoulder.

"Come, Aumanil, we need to talk. Lilianna needs to be involved, too."

APRIL'S POV

Once Aumanil transformed back into Lilianna, the four of us took a seat at the dining room table.

"Lily, you know the story already," I spoke first. "But Justine, you have become not only Lily's best friend, but you have also become her confidante. Lily told you her secret in confidence, and you knew exactly what to do when Lily did not. With that said, I will trust you with what I am about to tell you."

"Thank you, April," Justine replied.

"There was an Utrom named Kraang in a planet called Dimension X. Kraang discovered mutagen and drank some, becoming this huge, psychic being. He used his powers to manipulate most of the Utrom and transformed them into the Kraang alien race and tried to evolve other planets, their goal being total domination. But their mutagen was not perfect. They found Earth back in the days of Moses and spent thousands of years studying this planet. One day, my great-grandfather discovered them, and the Kraang experimented on him and his bloodline. When my mother was pregnant with me, they found her and experimented on her. I was born with alien abilities. I had psychic powers that I did not discover until I met Donnie. We discovered together that I was immune to the mutagen, that I would not be affected. I was the key to perfecting their mutagen, or so they thought. Over the next four years, I was trained by Splinter, my late father-in-law, to become a kunoichi, a female ninja. My psychic powers were trained as well. Splinter, Donnie, and an android named the Fugitoid all trained me. Lily inherited those powers from me, and Donnie and I trained her."

I let out a sigh.

"While I was training with the Fugitoid, I received a gift from an alien race called the Aeons. It was a crystal from their soul star. At first, I had treasured it. But it became an obsession and I became more powerful than I ever thought I would be. I became so powerful that I lost control of myself and killed Donnie on accident."

"Wait a minute, if you killed Donnie, then how is he still here?" Justine asked skeptically. "Did he pull a Jesus or something?"

"Not exactly," I answered. "After I defeated my demons, I discovered that Donnie wasn't really gone. He was molecularly scattered. With the broken pieces of the crystal, I put Donnie back together again."

I glanced at my husband with a fond smile.

"And that's when I realized I was truly in love with him. I never wanted to go through the grief of losing him again, so I ran to the lair and told him I loved him. But back to the point."

I turned towards my daughter.

"Lily, you have become so much more than Dad and I have ever imagined. You learned your powers very quickly and have adapted very well. But perhaps you have a stronger resilience than I do. You never went down without a fight. You have a fighter's spirit, Lily. And thankfully, you do not have an alien crystal that will cloud your mind like mine did. But promise me that if it comes to you contemplating on taking a life or not, remember me. Remember Dad. And remember who you are. You are Aumanil, a kind and compassionate spirit."

I smiled, caressing my daughter's cheek.

"You and your dad picked a good name for your super-heroine identity. Lily, you are kind, compassionate, and you are a fighter. Don't ever lose that."

Then I placed a hand on Justine's shoulder.

"And you, Justine Jessica Pride, you are witty, just, and ready to learn. You have already done more for Lily than you know and I am proud to call you an honorary daughter. Please guide her in our stead when we can't be there."

"I will, on one condition."

I smiled, ready to listen.

"I was the reporter for Elkhorn's newspaper. I joined the newspaper for Todayland University and I want to learn all I can from you. And I'm not just talking about being a reporter. I want to be a veterinarian someday, and I want to be full of compassion, just like Lily and Donnie now, and just like Jesus was and always will be. Would you guide me?"

"I would be honored," I answered.

I glanced at my husband who gave me a fond smile. Suddenly, we heard a phone ringing. But it was none of ours.

"Oh!" Justine exclaimed. "It's mine!"

Justine answered her phone.

"Hello?"

Justine suddenly looked startled.

"Wilbur, is everything okay? Well, I know how to handle animals, but I don't know much about animal medicine yet. Why?"

"I'm not liking the sound of that," Donnie said with uneasiness in his voice.

"But the only mutants that would be in Todayland right now would be Ryan and Venus," Lily replied. "What else could go wrong?"

"Lily was acting odd herself this morning," Justine continued her phone conversation with Wilbur. "But she's fine now. I'm in New York with her and her parents. Donnie canceled his classes for the day because he was acting odd."

We glanced at each other.

"Something's going on in Todayland," I spoke.

"Yeah, I'll be there," Justine continued. "I'll take Lily with me. We'll see you soon."

She hung up.

"Lily, we're heading back to Todayland," Justine explained. "Wilbur's at the vet with... I can't even explain this."

"Well, he has a dog named Buster," Lily replied. "Maybe it's Buster."

"He's got more than Buster at the vet. He's got a squid named Lefty there and eight pots named Spike and Dmitri."

"They seriously have that much?!"

"And aren't they technically humans?" I asked.

"Maybe they're mutants, just like y'all," Justine suggested. "But Buster's a normal dog. He's not a mutant."

"Which means the sonic blasts affected all animals, including us," Donnie concluded with a stern voice. "Lily, Justine, you must go to Todayland and see what you both can do."

"Dad, you're a doctor too," Lily replied. "Why don't you come with us?"

Donnie shook his head.

"I'm going to have my hands full here in New York. I need to see all of my patients. But please tell me what's going on in Todayland."

Todayland, North Montana, USA

LILIANNA'S POV

Justine and I took the portal back to Todayland and found all the Robinson animals in the music room. Buster was acting wildly and would not obey Justine's commands. Lefty was being... weird. Franny's frogs were hopping all over the place. And all the Spikes and Dmitris were yelling all the time.

Justine and I, as Aumanil, both had headphones on so that we could cancel out the sonic blasts. I took a deep breath and screamed, absorbing the blasts and canceling them out. All of the animals had calmed down. Justine examined their physical health while I examined their mental health.

"Lily, what happened?" Frankie asked me, understanding who I really was. "Are you okay?"

"Yes, I am alright. Now let's examine your mind, Frankie. And then I'll examine the rest of the band."

I stared into Frankie's brown eyes, examining his mind and his brain. He seemed tired, but his mind was intact.

"Justine, what do you think about Frankie?" I asked.

"It seems like Frankie ate one too many flies!" Justine answered. "But he seemed fine otherwise. Nothing abnormal. In fact, everyone is fine except for Buster."

"Buster?" I replied with worry in my voice. "What's going on with him?"

"He's lost some weight," Justine explained. "He's smaller than he's supposed to be. Do you know how old he is?"

"I do not know. I remember Wilbur telling me that Grandpa Bud always cracked the joke that he's wearing glasses because his insurance wouldn't pay for contacts."

"Now I find that fascinating! I've never seen a dog wearing glasses before."

"The Robinsons are full of quirks."

"So I've seen. But Buster must be quite old. How long have you... I mean, how long has Lily attended school here?"

"Justine, it's okay for right now," I replied with an understanding smile. "I stumbled here in 2038. So about four years now."

"So no younger than 15 in human years, I suppose. You're here often. Do you know how often Buster goes out?"

"I'm not here often enough anymore because of my shows. If anyone is here often, it's Venus and Ryan. Ryan is one of Wilbur's best friends and Venus is always asking Wilbur for advice with the color guard. But I'd say from memory that Buster would go out every couple of hours. I've never noticed anything wrong though."

"I'd like to see Cornelius or Franny if either of them are at home."

"Cornelius is very likely at Robinson Industries. But Franny might be able to help you."

"I'll go talk to her then. You stay here and keep an eye on everybody."

Justine's phone suddenly went off.

"Who is it now?" I asked.

Justine gulped.

"My mother. Hello? You've gotta be kidding me."

"What is it?" I asked.

"Well, I need to speak with Franny first. We have an animal problem here, too. Yeah. And it happened with Lily's family in New York. Okay, I'll talk to Lily about it and we'll be there as soon as we can."

Justine hung up.

"What happened?" I asked.

"Good thing your dad cancelled classes," Justine answered with a raised eyebrow. "Once I'm done talking to Franny, we're heading to Oklahoma."

Elkhorn, Oklahoma, USA

JUSTINE'S POV

Aumanil and I emerged from the portal into the front yard of my childhood home.

"Good thing my dad is in town," I told my partner. "I don't want to see him."

"If your dad is having problems with his horse just like everyone else, then we have to see him," Aumanil replied.

I glanced at her and shook my head. Her outfit would get her kicked out of Elkhorn.

"I've gotta find something for you to blend in," I explained. "Why don't you stop the sonic blasts here while I look in my closet?"

Aumanil gave me a firm nod and we went our separate ways for now. I entered the house for the first time in over two months. My first priority was to get upstairs to find a dress for Lily's superhero identity. Thankfully, we were the same size.

I smiled and chuckled. I could easily be a doppleganger and disguise myself as Lily if I needed to. I just needed a red wig. But then I frowned. The disguise would easily come apart. Lily had a gap in her teeth while I did not. I would not be able to fool her family and friends.

My thoughts of disguise washed over me as I continued to look for a dress. Suddenly, I heard growling. I turned around to see my cat Chloe on the bed. I smiled, turning towards her, preparing to pet her.

"Hey, Chloe, it's been a while. How are you?"

To my surprise, Chloe responded with a hiss.

"Something is not right," I said out loud.

Chloe suddenly started to claw the bed!

"Chloe, no!" I yelled.

I was able to get Chloe off the bed, but I paid the price. Chloe started to claw me and would not stop. I needed a solution, fast!

"Wait, the bathroom!"

I ran into the bathroom with Chloe, dropped her in the bathtub and sprinted out, closing the door. The bathroom had two doors, one that lead to my parents' bedroom that was already closed. I panted, blowing a sigh of relief. But then I glanced down at my arms. I had scratch marks all over my arms to the point where my red dress was ruined.

I heard a siren's scream from outside. I ran to the window to find Aumanil screaming with all her might as all my mother's sheep started to calm down. The horses, pigs, chickens, cows, and goats started to calm down also. Then, I heard sweet sounds from my cat.

I walked back to the bathroom and opened the door. Instead of a ferocious cat, my sweet cat Chloe meowed at me, rubbing my legs as she came out.

"I'm happy to see you, Chloe," I told her with a smile. "I'm in no position to examine you, but I have to believe you're okay."

I groaned.

"I need to call Mom."

I walked back into the bedroom with Chloe following me.

"Hey, Siri, call Mom."

"Calling Mom."

I heard the phone ringing as I put it on speaker.

"Oh! Justine! Where are you? Are you alright?"

"I'm at the house, Mom," I answered. "I totally forgot Chloe was also affected by the sonic blasts and she clawed me all over my arms. They really hurt."

"Well, thanks to Aumanil, everyone is calm. Even your father called me and told me Genevieve is fine."

"That's a relief. But would you examine me, please? I'm okay, but I don't want to risk infection."

"We'll be right up."

My mother hung up the phone. I went back to my closet and I could only look at my dresses so that I didn't get blood on them. I heard footsteps coming up the stairs and then I heard knocking on the door. Aumanil and my mom entered the bedroom.

"Oh, I didn't know you had a cat, Justine!" Aumanil exclaimed excitedly.

"Oh my goodness, Justine!" Mom exclaimed in shock. "You're bleeding! Let's clean you up in the bathroom."

"Aumanil, that's my cat Chloe," I replied. "Would you please keep her company while Mom washes me? And please feel free to look through my closet for a dress for you to blend in here."

Mom led me to the bathroom and I sat on the toilet. Mom took out the first aid kit that she hid in the sink and she started to disinfect my wounds.

"So how have things been since we last saw you?" Mom asked in a gentle voice.

"They've been going well," I answered. "I've been getting good grades and Donatello's been helping me a lot. Lily, too."

I let out a sigh.

"This is not the way to start school after fall break."

"I hear you went to New York for the weekend," Mom replied. "Did you go to the city or just New York State?"

"It was just the weekend, so I spent my time in the city. It was nice being reacquainted with the Hamato Clan again. Especially Athena and Venus. Did you know that Venus has her own greenhouse in the sewers?"

"No, that is really fascinating! Where does Venus get the energy source?"

"There's this black light that serves as the energy the plants need to grow. Venus is an amazing botanist. She told me Donnie helped her set it up and she actually makes money from it."

"Good for her! Not just that, but she's helping the environment, too. So did you see anything else, like the Statue of Liberty?"

"I did! Donatello took me and Lily there with the Turtle Blimp, one of his inventions. Did you know that Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty are actually in New Jersey?"

"Really? I did not!"

"Lily found it on a map and showed it to us. I guess the Statue of Liberty was on the other side of the state border. But anyway, the Hamatos are just as fun to hang out with as the Robinsons. They even encouraged me to participate in their sparring session. They study ninjutsu compared to my karate. Even Wilbur was there training. I had no idea Wilbur was a member of the clan, too."

"Now how did Wilbur get to New York? Did he fly there?"

"No, he took an interdimensional portal to get there. That's how Aumanil and I came here."

"I think I found the outfit!" Aumanil said as my mom finished washing my wounds.

We turned to see Aumanil now dressed not in a dress, but she wore red pants with white cowgirl boots over the pant legs. She wore a long-sleeved white shirt with red decorations over her chest to match the pants. She wore her silver bracelets over the sleeves. Lastly, she wore a silver belt around her waist.

"Dresses are beautiful, don't get me wrong," Aumanil explained. "But not for hero work. So I glanced in Woody's closet. I hope he won't mind if he misses these."

"That outfit actually belonged to his sister Jessie," Mom explained with a smile. "And it looks absolutely perfect on you. I don't think Jessie would mind one bit. In fact, you remind me of her. That scream of yours would even silence her yodeling."

"I actually just learned about it today," Aumanil replied. "We had trouble in New York and Todayland, too."

"Justine was explaining that to me. Is everything alright in both cities?"

"Yes, for the most part. But let's worry about you, Justine. You look like you were bested in battle."

"My cat went rogue," I replied. "But once you screamed your siren cry, she went back to normal."

"Her wounds are worrying to me," Mom said.

"May I try something?" Aumanil asked.

Mom got up and Aumanil sat in front of me. She held her hands together, closed her eyes, and she started this chant in Japanese.

"Rin. Pyo. Toh. Sha. Kai. Jin. Retsu. Zai. Zen."

Aumanil then placed her hands on my right arm and repeated the chant. She then moved her hands to my left arm and repeated the chant one more time. She released me and opened her eyes. I looked down and let out a loud gasp. I was completely healed!

"How did you do that?!" I yelled, feeling slightly freaked out.

"I am curious myself," Mom replied. "What did you do?"

"Leonardo taught me how to heal with a mantra," Aumanil explained. "There are some things, some venoms, some wounds, that cannot be cured by modern medicine."

"Well, thank you for your help, Aumanil. Would you like to ride into town to greet with my husband? I'm sure he'd love to see you."

"Thank you, Bo, but I think it is best for me and Justine to return to Todayland."

"That is alright. But may I speak with my daughter first?"

"By all means."

Aumanil walked out of the bathroom as I was now alone with my mom. We walked into my parents' room and took a seat on the bed.

"Have you read any of your father's letters?" Mom asked me. "He's been worried about you."

"No, I haven't," I answered with a sigh. "It's going to be a while before I can forgive him."

"Justine, sweetheart, your father's been heartbroken ever since our meeting in Donatello's office," Mom replied, caressing my cheek. "He thinks he's lost you. He wants to be a better father, but you need to do the work too. Yes, your life is busy, and from what I've been hearing from you, you love your life. I'm happy for you. And so is your dad. I talk to him about you all the time and he's happy that you're happy. He wants to be in your life, but he can't be if you don't let him."

I let out a sigh, unsure if I was ready to let my dad back in my life yet.

"You don't have to come to a decision right now, but promise me you'll think about it?"

I nodded my head and then I hugged my mom who hugged me back.

DONATELLO'S POV

I unlocked my office and got myself settled in. I clocked in for work and booted up my computer, ready to start the day. Suddenly, I heard knocking on the door. I was very surprised to see one of my students at seven-thirty in the morning.

"Justine! Is everything okay?"

"May we talk?" she asked.

"Please take a seat."

Justine, wearing a purple dress and white cowgirl boots, sat across from me.

"What's on your mind?" I asked.

"My father, sir. When Lily and I helped my mom get her sheep settled down, my mom spoke to me about him. He misses me and wants to be a part of my life. But I'm not sure I'm ready to see him. I haven't even read any of the letters he sent."

"And that is your choice, Justine," I replied. "If you don't feel ready, then you aren't ready. Relationships take time to build and rebuild. Have you ever thought of writing him?"

"No. I need to live my life without him for now."

I let out a sigh, worried about her.

"Justine, it may not be my place to say this, but I don't think it's a good idea to completely cut your father out of your life."

"Oh, I didn't mean for good! Yes, I love my father. Maybe one day I will trust him again and tell him everything. Apparently my mom's been telling him all about me after I speak with her."

"And how do you feel about that?" I asked.

"Actually, I'm okay with it. It tells me he cares, at least."

"That is a very big step from a month ago. But please take your time going back into the relationship. You are an adult, and you're in college. Right now, take this time to learn who you are and who you want to be."

"Lily's been helping me find my identity as a grown, single woman. She's an amazing companion."

"Who are you deciding to be today?" I asked with a smile on my face.

"What do you mean by that?" Justine asked in reply.

"Every day is different. It may seem like the same the older you get, but it really isn't. Sure, you have the same routine, but you don't have the same emotions."

Justine let out a sigh, and then she gave me a determined look.

"Today, I'm deciding to be honorable and brave. I'm going to go to all my classes, do my homework, help Lily in her shows, and I'm going to start writing a letter to my father."

I felt surprised at the last revelation.

"I thought you didn't want him in your life right now," I told her.

"I don't. But if I'm ever going to move forward in my relationship with my father, I have to let him know how I feel."

"It makes me happy to hear you say you want to improve your relationship with him," I said with a fond smile.

Justine let out a sigh.

"Donnie, have you ever felt the same way towards someone?"

"As far as family goes, no. Sure, we'll fight when we don't agree. But we don't let that come between us. We always forgave each other. Justine, have you truly forgiven yourself for everything that has happened between you and your dad? Have you forgiven him?"

"No, I haven't," Justine answered with another sigh, now playing with one of her blonde braids. "Usually forgiving people comes easy to me. But being in jail for a night changed how I felt about him. Ever since that night, I wanted out. I kept begging Aunt Jessie for me to live with her and Uncle Buzz, but she always sent me home when I was done with my shift at the store and with the newspaper. She said I needed to figure things out with them. But I was scared of my dad, scared that he would never listen to me again. I was surprised he approved of me going to Todayland for college."

I frowned.

"Oh, Justine, he made you feel like you needed his approval?"

"Well, he is the sheriff. What else was I supposed to do?"

"Say no. Set boundaries like you are doing now. Tell him how you feel."

I let out a sigh.

"Listen, when I was your age, I always felt that I needed to have the answers because Leo was counting on me for my expertise. And it pained me to admit that I didn't have the answer to everything. In fact, I remember Leo putting so much pressure on me that I actually lashed out at him, and I hated that feeling. I always wanted to please my brothers but it always felt like a burden to me. Once I realized the only one whose approval mattered was Jesus, I stopped caring about what others, outside of my wife and daughter, thought of me. Jesus wanted me to be myself, so I let the anger wash over me and I started being kind to myself."

I placed a hand on Justine's shoulder as we gazed into each other's brown eyes.

"You can't change the past, Justine. But you can learn from it, forgive yourself, and move forward with your life. Sometimes, that's all you can do. But please do that with kindness. I know you will have the ability to forgive your father for his mistakes and move forward together, but don't rush it. Take as much time as you need."

"What all did you do to forgive yourself?" Justine asked.

"I prayed. I told God everything. I prayed about my mistakes, and I prayed about my talents, my skills. I prayed about who I am and about my family. I even took another vision quest to the mountain to discover myself again."

"What's a vision quest?"

"It's a three-day journey ninjas have to take to be one with nature."

"So it's strictly ninja stuff?"

I chuckled.

"Pretty much."

"So I can't do one of those. A three-day journey alone sounds nice."

"In your case, I would not recommend it. I would recommend reading Ecclesiastes though."

"Ecclesiastes?" Justine asked in surprise. "How come?"

I, again, gave her a fond smile.

"It's Lily's favorite book of the Bible. If you want to take a three-day journey, take Lily with you into the book of Ecclesiastes."

LILIANNA'S POV

"Any news on those sonic blasts?" Justine asked as we settled down for dinner.

"No, not yet. Uncle Leo believes that whatever is causing those blasts was invented by Krang and or Kraang Subprime. Uncle Mikey, Auntie Mona, and Wilbur are looking in Dimension X as we speak."

"What's Wilbur doing in Dimension X?"

"We discovered Wilbur has this mental shield. You know how I use my powers to get inside people's minds?"

"Yeah."

"Wilbur prevents that with his mind. He can also shield other people with his mind."

I chuckled.

"It's funny. My mom was the honorary member of the Hamato Clan when the Turtles first met her and Splinter trained her to be a kunoichi. A new generation is born and Uncle Leo trains Wilbur to be a ninja, becoming an honorary member himself. Both have psychic powers. Although my mom was born with them. We believe Wilbur's came as second nature."

"I feel silly now," Justine replied with a chuckle. "I'm not a mutant, nor do I have any special powers."

"But from what you've told me, you are a powerhouse on a horse," I complimented her. "I've never ridden a horse before! So you can do something I can't do yet."

"Have your parents ridden horses?"

"My dad has with my uncles. They were somehow transported to an anthropomorphic universe where they disguised themselves as samurai and ended up riding horses. My dad actually didn't do too badly on his horse from what he's told me. My mom's never ridden one."

"I have a new dream," Justine revealed. "I don't want to just be a veterinarian, Lily. I want to build my own ranch here and take care of horses as well as other animals. Because Todayland doesn't have a horse ranch. I could easily teach your folks how to ride. Wilbur, too."

"I have no doubt that the Robinsons will want to ride when it's built," I replied with a smile.

"Thanks for the vote of confidence. Now may I ask you something?"

"Sure."

"I spoke to your dad early this morning and he gave me advice on forgiving myself. He also encouraged me to read Ecclesiastes. Is that really your favorite book?"

"It is," I answered. "I read it because Christina Grimmie read it and understood it. I wanted the same knowledge and I got it. All is vanity here. Nothing here is meant to last forever. And that does include your strained relationship with your dad. You two will reconcile again in God's time."

"Would you spend three days and read it with me?" Justine asked.

I laughed.

"Why three days? Are we talking three whole days? An hour for three days?"

"Whatever it takes. I'm ready to learn something new."

I laughed again.

"You really are a Ravenclaw. I'll plan something and propose something with you. If you don't mind me asking, what is your favorite book of the Bible?"

"Oh that's easy. It's Psalms. It was all I could read while counting down the days to leave Elkhorn. Those poems were full of comfort when times were rough."

"They truly are," I replied in agreement. "Well, now here's a thought. Thanksgiving break is coming up. It starts that Wednesday and we go back to school the following Monday. Why don't we start our journey Thanksgiving Day and finish that Saturday? We can study at the farmhouse."

"Sure, that sounds good. You know, I've never done a Bible study before."

"I actually haven't either. I've always studied by myself or with my dad."

Justine smiled at me.

"How often did your dad study with you?"

"It depends. Bible studies was part of my homeschooling curriculum, so Dad and I always spent half an hour reading a chapter or two and talking about it. The past few years, we'll talk for at least ten minutes. We'll pray together, too."

"I wish I had that with my dad. I spent all my time studying the Bible with Emily."

I smiled.

"I notice that you keep mentioning Emily, but you haven't told me much about her. Is she your best friend back home?"

"Yes, we met when we were very young. Her adoptive parents are the Potato-Heads who have also turned human. Her mom Estelle owns the cafe and that's where I met her. We both shared a love of coloring and spent most of our time coloring. I always sat next to her at church and we always had lunch together, talking about everything we learned. Her dad Don owns the saloon where I often sang on his request."

"I wish I had a best friend growing up," I replied. "But it was something I didn't think about. My relationship is the closest with Athena because she has an amazing personality and she always looked up to me. She was the best friend I needed."

"So you learned early to be content. Good for you!"

I laughed.

"Now I found it interesting that you mentioned Emily's dad owned the saloon and asked you to sing. So your singing there wasn't fully your choice?"

"Not at first. I actually felt wary about it. But when I started singing, I started feeling free, like that was where I needed to be."

"No wonder you related to us so well," I replied with a frown. "Venus recently started to find her own voice. I didn't find mine until, ironically, I was kidnapped. Athena's always had hers."

We laughed at that.

"Lily, thank you for letting me be a part of your shows."

"Oh, no worries! Listen, you've been a huge help to me in all of this. It's the least I can do."

"And your piano show yesterday was incredible! Especially that one song where you sang about someone not caring for you."

"Deception?"

"I think so. You had belted out the word why at the very end, quite powerfully."

"Yeah, that's Deception. It was hard to do, planning a show with only your vocals and the piano. I'm just glad it turned out okay with Frankie and his band down."

We both sighed.

"Let's hope Wilbur and the clan figure out what's causing these blasts," Justine said solemnly.

"Me too, Justine. Me too."
