Chapter 74: Battle for Boudacia
Danny and the others were now on the lookout for the traitorous Brutis.
Milee had given direct orders and every Boudacian was after Brutis. Hundreds of Boudacians warriors and soldiers were storming the capital for the traitor.
"Search the palace for the usurper, Brutis! I want him alive and in chains before the sun sets!..." She demanded, while her husband barked more orders.
"LOCK DOWN ALL SHIPS! LOOK EVERYWHERE! EVEN IN THE SEWERS IF YOU HAVE TO! MAKE SURE NOTHING GETS IN OR OUT! BRUTIS WILL NOT BE LEAVING THIS PLANET ALIVE!..."Maurus ordered, while all the soldiers and warriors saluted.
"As you wish, your highness..."Captain Treachero said, gladly organizing squads of soldiers to search the palace from basement to roof.
However, he was not to be found quickly. In fact, the chances of finding the traitor weren't exactly favorable, since he could be anywhere.
"We should search for Dorkus too. He can't have gone far..." Danny said, wanting payback for what he has done.
"Agreed. I still have a lot of vengeance to unleash on him after the stunt he tried to pull! NOT TO MENTION, I HAVE TO GET BACK AT HIM FOR ALL THE CRUD HE PUT ME THROUGH SINCE WE WERE LITTLE PUPS!..." Mandie said, her hair turning into flames again.
Tucker and the others blinked at what they just witnessed, while Danny smiled slightly.
"Man, that's hot. Both literally and figuratively!..." Danny thought.
"I wonder if turning her hair like that hurts? I'd ask, but she looks like she is gonna blow a gasket and I'd rather NOT be the one to face her wrath when she's in a vengeful mood..."The tech geek thought, not wanting to be the target of the alien princess's fury.
"Probably a good idea not to mention that Sam thought she might have kidnapped Danny again..." Jazz thought, after recalling what Mandie regularly does to her enemies.
However the same could not be said for a certain purple eyed teenage girl. Sam didn't exactly like the look of affection Danny was giving the alien princess, and tried to ignore it.
Keyword being tried.
"What on Earth does he even see in that alien brat?!..."She thought bitterly but tried to focus on the mission.
Danny and the others ran outside, looking in all possible directions. Any hint as to where Brutis was would help them before the coward did anything else.
"So, where to, Danny?..." Sam asked with her eyes narrowed, intentionally breaking her friend's train of thoughts.
"Yeah. Where do we start looking for that monster?..."Jazz asked.
"Wish I knew. There's no telling what kind of rock he could be hiding under..." Danny said.
"Quite a lot on Boudacia, we have plenty of giant rock for weasels like Brutis to dig himself in..." Milee said, not realizing that was a figure of speech.
"I wasn't being literal but good to know..."Danny said, rubbing his chin as he thought for a few seconds before he turned to face the royal family.
"Okay, Mandie, you and your folks obviously know the planet way better than we do..." Danny said seriously. "I know this is probably a first since apparently you never had a traitorous coward in your ranks before but you must have had criminals that may have escaped before..." He said.
"Very rarely. Usually they were executed on the spot after being deemed guilty..." Milee said, in a matter of factly kinda way.
"And if they do try to flee, they are dead before they even manage to make it out the door..." Maurus sneered, casually bringing up cruel events.
"THAT'S INHUMANE!..." Sam bellowed angrily, appalled that such actions were treated to lax on this planet.
"In case you haven't noticed, we are not humans..." Maurus said, glaring at her.
"And considering Brutis tried to get us all killed and almost subjected me to a fate worse than death, I believe mercy is the last thing he deserves!..." Mandie said darkly as she and Sam glared at each other.
"That's...fair...I guess...but where exactly do you all draw the line when criminals are deserving of a fair trial or not?..." Sam said, not backing down on her own sense of principles.
"Oh, please. Fair trial? I've read human history books during the last time Danny had to study for an exam when I wanted to spend some quality time with him. I know that your species have done things just as bad to each other for centuries..." Mandie said, while Sam glared daggers at her.
"We don't do stuff like that anymore!..." Sam insisted.
"Oh please, even I know you aren't that naïve, Manson. I have seen news reports from your planet before. I know that your species is still doing things such as dumping so much of your garbage in the various landscapes and oceans instead of sending it out into an active volcano, setting it on fire or launching into the endless void of space like every other advanced civilized species. And that's only SOME stuff and I have a feeling there is way more that I haven't even scratched the surface. So, you can drop the holier than thou attitude..." Mandie said, arms crossed.
"HOLIER THAN THOU?!..." Sam exclaimed, but was stopped by her friends.
"Let's just agree to disagree at the moment..." Tucker said getting between the two females to prevent them from fighting each other.
They shouldn't be distracted by this when the real enemy they should point their shared anger and frustrations on was Brutis.
Sam hated to compromise, especially with the alien princess that had gotten Danny's heart, but she grudgingly nodded.
"Fine!..."She muttered, crossing her arms in a reluctant manner.
"But this isn't over!..." She thought, being stubborn.
"Doesn't matter what the human girl's problems are at the moment. They're not important..." Maurus said, ignoring her offended look.
"We need to refocus all our efforts on real issues right now. Such as punishing the traitor..." Milee said before turning to face her daughter's boyfriend.
"You were saying?..." The queen asked, gesturing for the ghost boy to continue where he left off and hoping he had a clue.
"Right...I need to know if there are any places where Brutis could hide in? If by any chance he hasn't left the planet, can you think of any locations he could have gone to?..." Danny asked with sheer determination to stop the rogue Boudacian.
All of the non-earthlings thought hard on where on Boudacia Brutis would go to avoid public view.
However this was easier said than done, since Brutis only acquainted himself with individuals that he thought were his equals or pawns that he could benefit from.
"I hate to admit it, but Brutis is gone and sadly not down for the count either. He may not be smart, but he's not stupid either. Not completely anyway. If there's something I learned from fighting Vlad, it's that someone with an ego like Brutis isn't going to let this very public humiliation slide, he'll want revenge no matter what..." Danny said.
Mandie thought about what he said and nodded.
"True. He could never admit to losing..." She said. "He'd always blame outside forces rather than admit his own failures..." She added, hating this.
"No surprise there. Anyway, if there was a location he could hide in to get any sort of leverage, where would that be?..."Danny asked.
Mandie tries to think carefully for the answer to her beloved's question.
She also knew that the now ex-noble knew all the places to hide away from public sight and go unnoticed for days, which only made finding him even harder for the Boudacians.
It was particularly like searching for a needle in a huge haystack. If that haystack were the size of a skyscraper.
"Hard to say. Brutis has over hundreds of storage units across our planet under his family's name. And he'd totally abuse his family's privileges to hide in any of them..."Mandie muttered.
" Then we'll send troops to check each and every one of them!..."Maurus said, and his daughter nodded.
Even so, she was impatient as she did a thorough check of all the nearby storage units within the area on her personal portable computer. She wanted to get her hands on the treacherous worm, wanting revenge and to bring that traitor to justice.
However, it wasn't going to be easy.
"Even so, the closest is near his ancestral estate which is on the other side of the capital. He'd never make it there without being caught..." Milee pointed out.
"Then where is that jerk?..." Danny asked, wondering where his next potential destination might be.
Mandie and her parents thought for a few minutes, suddenly the three of them all realized where the disgraced traitor could have gone to.
"THE ARMADA'S DELUXE SHIP HANGAR!..."They all shouted at the same time, startling some of the humans.
"I'm sorry, deluxe hangar?..." Sam repeated with a raised eyebrow and crossed arms, her facial expression showing she's unimpressed with the name.
"I don't expect someone like you to understand Boudacian technology. Or is our culture's complex vocabulary too much for you?..." Mandie said in a tone which Sam didn't like.
"You call that "complex vocabulary"? You've got to be kidding me!?..." The goth said, trying to keep her cool and failing.
"I'm sorry, do I need to speak slower, oh or perhaps you need visual aids as well?!..." Mandie snapped.
"Oh, see here you brat!..." Sam said, glaring at her
The two girls stomped their feet and marched towards each other, which immediately resulted in the both of them shouting insults at each other.
"Snob!..."
"Sore loser!..."
"Kidnapper!..."
"Jealous fool!..."
"Least I never resort to violence first and ask questions Never!..."
"Your voice reminds me of a child hating hag from my old universe!..."
"Knock it off! ..." Tucker told both of them. Save the cat fight for when not about to enter into a war zone!..."
This only halted the argument between Mandie and Sam from the unexpected shout from the teenaged tech wizard, but the anger fueled glares were still there.
"I agree with the earth tech wizard. We need to focus on finding the traitor and bringing him to justice..." Milee said.
"Now try to stay civil, you two. Especially you Sam..." Jazz said with crossed arms.
The Goth's jaw dropped.
"Say what now?! But she...!"
Before she could complain, Danny stopped her. He stood between them and tried to keep the peace.
"She's right, Sam. Now is not the time for you to complain! We got a vengeful psychopath on the loose, finding him is top priority at the moment!..." He reminded her.
"But...but she..."Sam said.
"Said something she shouldn't..." Danny said cutting in looking at his sister, his girlfriend and one of his best friends.
"Look, you've got issues with each other. Fine but can you deal with them AFTER we catch the guy who wants to turn the earth into ash?! Please?!..." Danny said, sounding desperate.
Mandie and Sam glared at each other before looking at Danny.
Sam scowled, but the goth's grudge will have to be put on hold for now, as she followed everyone else and kept any negative thoughts she might think up along the way in the back of her mind for the time being.
"Fine..."They said at the same time, albeit reluctantly.
"Thank you..." Danny said, while Mandie tried to stay as civil as possible and not rip the human goth girl limb from limb.
The goth girl glared at Mandie and fumed in anger, but had to swallow her outrage since right now it wasn't the time or place.
Even so, the goth made a mental note to have a word with the Princess. As far as she saw it, just because Mandie was royalty, that didn't give her the right to talk down to her.
"You don't deserve Danny! He's too good for you, you're just lucky he's too nice for his own good!..." She thought stubbornly.
"If you weren't Danny's friend, I'd...ugh...she'd just better accept that he is mine if she knows that's good for her..."Mandie thought, as the goth girl kept glaring at her.
The goth's continued to mentally curse the Boudacian princess, but before she could say anything else, all the hovering screens across the planet went into static.
"What's going on?! Is that normal?.." Danny said, confused with the sudden technical difficulties.
Mandie and her parents gasped, as the tried to make sense of the situation.
"I wish it was my beloved but no..." Mandie said. "Someone is overriding the visual monitoring sytem..."She said, trying to figure out what's currently going on.
"Who?..." Jazz asked, as the static master for a few more seconds.
"I'll give you three guesses..." Danny snarked, before Brutis' ugly face was seen on the screen.
And despite being disgraced, he showed an smug smile.
"Citizens of Boudacia! You all know who I am, I am Boudacia greatest warrior despite what some lowly alien scum may say..." Brutis said in a commanding tone.
"Looks like someone is lying to make himself feel better..." Danny said as he rolled his eyes.
"More like he is trying and failing horribly to save face..." Jazz said, putting her two cents. "It's a defense mechanism some people do to not face accountability, it's always someone else's fault, that's how people like him operate..."She added.
"Glad to see that brains must run in your family..." Milee praised.
"Uh thanks, your highness..."Jazz said, somewhat flattered.
Sam could only roll her eyes in annoyance, but they continued to listen to this egomaniacs speech.
"My ascension into the Boudacian thrown has been...suddenly postponed...due to some unexpected and troublesome individuals..."Brutis said, lying through his teeth.
"Does someone have the remote?..." Tucker groaned.
"I don't know about the rest of you but that's once face that no one wants to see now or ever..." He added.
"I would have to agree with you, technological obsessed human. And as much as I would like nothing more than to smash that screen, I have the feeling its best to keep watching..."Maurus said.
"Try and tract down the signal..."He ordered his soldiers.
"Yes, your highness..." One of his soldiers obeyed as they tried to follow the order as everyone else kept listening to the broadcast.
"Now then, let it be known that Phantom may have won the battle but not the war..." Brutis said, scowling.
"After all, he 'won' by trickery and deceit! As to be expected of a dishonorable coward like him and Turner. Earthlings are nothing but liars, tricksters and deceitful creatures, while planning to stab you in the back like the cowards they are!..." Brutis said, yelling out whatever came out of his silver-tongued mouth.
"Of course that egotistical idiot would try to make everything about him on his way out. And that he'd try to turn the people against humans by saying they're all dishonorable!..." Mandie said with a tone of anger in it.
"After all, they are no such things as ghosts, especially half ghost humans. Who would even believe such an obvious lie?! He is just a mutant abomination that will soon face justice by my hands!..." Brutis added.
"Geez... Not even Technus was this delusional..."Sam said, surprised that someone was actually crazier than the tech ghost himself.
"He has to live in his own little world..." Mandie said, scowling.
"Well that's one thing you two can agree on..." Danny said, while the message continued.
"No matter, I have an ultimatum to give,this. I didn't want it to come to this but clearly none of you see greatness when you see it..." Brutis said arrogantly.
"Greatness isn't the word I would use, since that implies that he had any greatness to begin with..." Danny snarked, with the only down side is that the ex-noble couldn't hear the ghost boy's roast.
Mandie snickered at her boyfriend's wittiness before she became serious as she glared at the disgraced monster that very nearly destroyed the people she loved.
"By now my droid army and remaining followers have begun their siege on the palace and this is only the beginning. So here's what's going to happen, I have full has control of all the droids and Armadale ships on the planet, and if you don't bow to me and make me your king within an hour, I'll make sure that Boudacia is no more!..." He yelled, making his ultimatum all too clear.
Everyone gaped at the deranged "warrior". about to hold his own planet hostage in order to get what he wants.
"He can't be serious!..." Milee yelled out, horrified.
"That coward!..." Mandie shouted, running to the window.
"He's seriously threatening GENOCIDE against his own people! He's a monster!..." Sam said outraged something everyone agreed with.
"No kidding!..."Tucker remarked, as he polished his glasses to make absolutely sure that he wasn't seeing things.
The Boudacian Queen and King both had visible looks of disgust, dumbfounded and disdain on their respective faces.
"I CANNOT BELIEVE I EVER TRUSTED HIM!..."Maurus shouted.
"He would destroy everything just to get his way?! That's outrageous!..." Milee exclaimed, both shocked and outraged.
This got everyone's attention and for good reason.
"I seen some of the worst people back home doing that same strategy..." Danny said.
"He's desperate and feels trapped, he's at his most dangerous because if he feels like he has nothing left to lose, then he'll take everything and everyone with him..." He said, practically used to this kind of outcome from nearly every villain he's ever faced against.
"Then we must put an end to this pointless revolution here and now! This insult will not stand!..." Maurus snarled.
"Sire, we managed to track down the signal. Its coming from the Deluxe Armada hangar..."A soldier said.
"I knew it. He is so predictable. Now let's go and tear his head off!..."Mandie yelled, as the burning fury in her eyes could be matched by her flaming sword, not to mention the sparks of fire coming from Mandie's hair.
Everyone smartly stepped back so not to get burned.
"That's my girl..." Maurus said proudly, while his wife remained serious.
While the Princess of Boudacia was ready to slash down the traitor with her burning blade, her mother put a temporary halt to it as she asked an important question
"But how do we proceed from here?..." Milee asked, knowing they had to act fast before Brutis escaped again.
"Any suggestions, Darling?..." Mandie asked, hoping that her boyfriend had an ace up his sleeve.
"I got a plan but for it to work, we need the element of surprise...and everyone to do their job to the letter...and maybe drive a spaceship too..." Danny said.
Mandie instantly felt a freezing jolt run up her spine, while her sweat became colder than ice after hearing that thing Danny said.
"I surely hoped that my beloved doesn't intend to be the driver of said spaceship again..." Mandie hoped with all her might within her inner monologue.
"Tell us your plan, human. Boudacia is counting on you..." The King said.
"Then we need to move fast. The Deluxe Hanger might be our best shot to find and capture Brutus before he runs away again..." Danny said.
Everyone huddled together as the half ghost hero explains his plan to them.
If everything goes according to plan, than the only thing that the Boudacians will be concerned with is a massive clean up in the outer atmosphere of Boudacia and a very annoying prisoner with an ego the size of space titanic.
"Listen up everyone, I have an idea to catch Bruty. We don't have a lot of time to spare, so I'll to keep the explanation simple..." Danny said, as he explained his plan.
Once done, everyone huddled up, listening to Dannys plane. Thankfully everyone involved understood Danny's plan and didn't the whole plan repeated to them again.
"Lead the way..." Milee said smiling, fully on board with the plan of her daughter's boyfriend.
The royal boudacian parents then ordered the the royal guards to escort the humans to their requested destination.
"Brutis is going down!..." Danny said, looking determined to finally pull the breaks on Dorkus's annoying antics.
Outside
Danny flew off with Mandie and his friends, helping his girlfriend search for Brutis the bonehead.
"That pompous creep isn't going to get away this time..." Mandie said, ready for revenge.
"If we're lucky enough, we just might find him hiding in his room or under a big rock around here..." Danny jokingly said..
"Maybe even in his parent's garage..."Tucker jokingly commented
"Don't be ridiculous... we don't have garages. We have hangers..." Maurus said.
However, what they found instead caught their attention.
Mandie saw the droids appeared before them and started attacking them.
The princess got her sword out, whipped out her flame sword, Danny fired off some ghost rays while Sam changed up her wrist ghost blaster and was looking to Tucker, assuming that his presence would be much more useful somewhere else with Boudacia technology.
She recalled how Danny praised his technical skills and hoped they were put to good use at this moment in time.
"Tucker Foley, you hack the droids shut the-..."Before Mandie could finish her question, the droids began to circuit and shut down with a stupefied Mandie looked to Tucker who smirked.
"Never mind..." She said, surprised by the tech wizard's skills but still very impressed with the outcome.
"That's a new personal record..." Sam said.
"How'd you do it so fast? I mean even with Ghost X...I mean Skulker, you had more of a challenge..." Jazz asked, while the tech geek polished his PDA.
"Vlad had a back door into the army's programming to take over...He probably was going to have them turn on Bruty the not so great when he was done with him. So predictable..."Tucker said, making an educated guess.
"I can totally see him doing that..." Danny agreed, seeing it as a real possibility.
"That almost makes me wish that we could just have those two egomaniacs fight each other to death and save all of us the trouble of dealing with them both..." Mandie said, being semi-serious.
"Of course YOU'D want something like that to happen..."Sam commented.
"You gotta admit that would be pretty convenient for us if that did happen..."Tucker added his own opinion, but was ignored.
Sam and Mandie then instantly glared hatefully at one another, and signs of heat coming from Mandie's hair lighting up were already showing yellowish orange grow.
However, before they could argue again, Mandie's parents interrupted them.
" Enough! Focus on the mission at hand! Settle your other battle to the death against each other for the young earthling warrior later, Mandie..." Milee said.
"No battles to the death against my friends, please..." Danny said, before turning to his friend and girlfriend.
"That promise between us is still in full effect, even if we're not on Earth..."Danny reminded his girlfriend while Sam frowned.
"She made that promise, but I didn't any..."The goth girl grumbled, only after that did she see the stern look from her friend.
"Remember that Obnoxious creep who tried to take over a planet and is now trying to start a space war with earth? He's the real issue we all have to deal with right now...so settle your issues with Mandie for later..." Danny reminded.
Both girls frowned but knew that Danny had a point. There were more important matters that needed to be dealt with first.
The goth girl reluctantly nodded, since saving an entire species from genocide was more important right now than her issues with Mandie.
"Fine. Destroy Brutis first, then settle matters with and demonstrate my clear superiority to the goth later..." Mandie announced.
"Be patient, Manson. First takedown alien ex-noble, then you can punch the alien princess..."Sam told herself, then realized how weird her life had become in the last week.
The alien princess and goth girl their respective best to remind cooperative with each other during their unofficial truce.
Said goth girl from earth didn't like the idea of being treated as some afterthought. But considering the current situation she was in with everyone else, she decided to let it go for now.
"Why couldn't this royal pain in my neck alien be more like Femalien instead of this nutcase!..."Sam thought.
"I wonder if there are any tech savvy teenage girls of this planet?..."Tucker thought to himself.
"The more I'm exposed to this planet's inhabitant's behavior and actions, the more I'm convinced that there may not be any psychologist on this world..." Jazz mentally monologued.
Clearly, they weren't in sync, but such thoughts would wait for now, as a false king must be found.
A little later
They all soon arrived to the hangar, only to see a fortress like building in sight. The biggest feature was a flag with Brutis's flag on it.
"If this isn't an evil lair, I'll buy a hat and eat it..." Danny snarked.
"He is making this almost too easy..."Mandie said, unimpressed.
They noticed that the doors to the entrance to the large alien building was unsurprisingly locked shut.
"Of course that coward would lock himself in fortified structure. Looks like we have no other choice but to breakdown the doors..." Mandie said, but before she could pull out her sword to strike the door, Danny places a hand on her shoulder to stop her.
"Uh Mandie..." Danny said as he tried to hold her back.
"Oh right, ghost powers. Sorry, I got a little too into the moment..." Mandie said.
Before Danny could use his powers to make everyone intangible and simply walk through the large doors, but Mandie's father didn't seem to care about waiting.
"FOR BOUDACIA! AND FOR VENGEANCE!..."Maurus roared as he charged and kicked the door down.
"So much for the stealthy approach..." Danny muttered as he watched this unfold.
"He's lucky he's so attractive when he's like this..." Milee said, dragging her hand down her face.
They all soon ran inside and saw for themselves he wasn't there, at least not physically right there.
Now all they had to do was find him and see what kind of last ditch effects the disgraceful fool has at his disposal. Knowing the not so great Brutis, he probably only had a half baked backup plan that most likely wasn't too thought out, which involved even more security combat drones to throw at his enemies.
Which is just what happened as dozens of droids charged at them, only to become scrap metal minutes later by the heroes hands.
"I probably should have seen that coming..." Maurus muttered.
"Yes, you should..." Milee chastised him, as more droids showed up.
"He doesn't know when to quit..." Danny said, as he used his ice powers to freeze and subdue the remaining droids here.
"You don't know the half of it. He was always so persistent and not in the good way..." Mandie said, gripping her flame sword as she wanted to slice the false king.
"If it's any consolation, you had some very high respect for yourself to never have given that guy a chance..." Jazz said.
"You saw straight through him..." She added.
"Of course I saw through him. He could never beat me! He wasn't worth it, unlike your brother, at least he did what no one else could and more. My true love had me at his mercy when we were one on one..." She said, while the others flinched at what she just said.
"Phrasing..." Danny said, while the others gave him weird looks from what Mandie just said.
"I know what you mean but please mind your phrasing. Please..." Jazz said, disturbed by his words.
"What's the problem? Nothing I said was wrong or untrue..." Mandie said in defense.
"I'll explain it to you later..." Danny said, slightly red in the face.
She only noticed the looks on their faces.
"You humans can be so strange..." Mandie said with a shrug, still not fully understanding how humans could interpret her statement.
Although she did notice the light blush of red on Danny's face. Which only made Mandie curiously grow further.
"While the blushing is cute Darling, it's not time for it..." Mandie said sweetly.
"Ok, Mandie..." Danny said, while his friends sent them a look.
"Is now seriously the time for flirting?..."Tucker thought.
At the same time, Sam frowned.
"I'm going to puke..." Sam thought with disdain.
"Does she have to talk like Danny like we're in a fairy tale? What is she? Paulina?!..." She grumbled.
"I'd sooner believe in flying pigs than an alien version of Paulina existing out there in space..." Jazz commented.
"You know I can hear you both and you have a lot of nerve to compare me to that weak minded little brat who'd cry over barely having split ends. Much less a broken nail!..." Mandie snapped.
"Babe, not now. We got a situation here..." Danny reminded.
Mandie calms herself and refocused all of her inner anger and frustrations on her real enemy at the moment. However, the Boudacian Princess reminded herself to deal with the goth girl at a later time.
First Brutis, then ending things with the goth. It was then that she saw her loyal troops were outside fighting with the droids, outnumbered 500 to 1...and with Brutis's forces leading them.
"If only Mr. and Mrs. Fenton invented anti-alien weapons along with their ghost hunting gadgets..." Sam thought, wishing that her best friend's parents also hunted aliens.
It was evident that Brutis would have to be stopped before he carried out his genocidal plans.
The big question was...how to stop him?
Brutis wasn't a COMPLETE idiot he must have something up his sleeves. But what that is, they didn't know yet.
Sadly the goth girl wouldn't be that lucky. It was almost making her want to make a wish out loud, whether or not Desiree heard her wish or not. After all, she learned her lesson about speaking her wishes out loud anywhere in public for anyone to hear. Though, she may make an exception for Mandie. Even on another planet, that claims to be from a completely different universe.
However, right now there were far bigger and more important things to be concerned about. Namely the one alien who wants to cause trouble for them.
With seemingly having an advantage over his foes, Brutis that now was the perfect time to gloat his inevitable victory over his enemies.
"You've no doubt realized my army out numbers those loyal to that mutt and his family..."Brutis said, enraging Mandie.
"HOW DARE HE TALK ABOUT MY FATHER THAT WAY?!..." Mandie said, enraged.
"Blame his warped perception of reality. This guy just can't accept he's in the wrong..."Danny said.
"He cannot. It's in his nature..." Mandie muttered.
"True. He's almost as uncompromising as Sam when it comes to her vegan campaigns..." Tucker said.
"Whatever..." Sam said.
The treacherous ex-noble could be seen in possession master control arm bracelet that sends off primary commands to all the machines within the city.
He spotted Mandie and was blinded with petty rage.
"YOU BROUGHT THIS FOR REJECTING ME!..." Brutis snapped.
"You're in the wrong if you think you'd be the kind of ruler this world needs!..." Mandie scoffed.
"I AM NOT IN THE WRONG! IT IS YOU ALL WHO ARE IN THE WRONG!..."Brutis shouted out of preserving his own pride, unsure if anyone actually doubted his actions.
"Anyway, I don't know how you managed to find me or get passed all my droids and I don't care. I am Brutis the Great of house Forcivul! Brutis the slayer of Danny Phantom! All I see I conquer generations of Boudacians will praise my name! For I am the greatest warrior that will ever be...I am a king of Boudacia!..."He shouted, trying to prove that he was the superior being to all.
"More like the king of fools.." Mandie said.
"Do not refer to the future ruler of two worlds as a fool! My conquest is inevitable!..."Brutis yelled, looking his temper at the moment.
"Oh will you shut up, you wannabe warrior!..."Danny said. "The only thing inevitable here will be your butt getting kicked!.." He shouted.
"I agree!..." Mandie said.
"You will regret those words you Earth freak!..." Brutis sneered.
"You're not the first person whose told me that...heck this isn't the first time YOU'VE told me that and I'm still here kicking your tinplated can!..."Danny said, more than tried of hearing this space blowhard gloating about himself.
It was worse than Skulker, Technus, and the Box Ghost combined.
Brutus growled, but kept a stern facade as he stood tall with confidence. The increasingly dwindling numbers of his troops did not deter him as he gave his demands.
The blowhard continues to spout nonsense. And spoke as if he almost as if he already won.
"My demands are few but merciful...with me being declared as king, the enslavement of all non Boudacian citizens, the death of the abomination Danny Phantom and his cowardly comrades and my immediate marriage to Princess Mandie..."He said, listing everything he wants like they were reasonable to anyone else.
"OVER MY DEAD BODY!..."Mandie yelled, not that Brutis cared.
"DENY ME WHAT IS RIGHTFULLY MINE AND YOU WILL ALL PERISH!..."He yelled.
"Wow, you make even Walker seem more reasonable compared to you..." Danny commented.
"I didn't think that was possible..." Tucker added.
"I don't know who you're even talking about, but that person is also in the wrong as well!..." Brutis angrily shouted.
"And what makes you right?..." Mandie asked.
Brutis simply responded to that remark with an overly prideful smirk. One that nobody liked.
"Because of the rule of battle! To the victor goes the spoil!..."Brutis flipped his cape dramatically, still feeling arrogant.
"And in case you weaklings haven't noticed, all I have to do is win, no matter the cause. Even if the people are at fault for their weakness, all it will take is a show of strength, my strength, and they will return to the true path of Boudicia!..."He shouted in arrogance and delusion.
Danny rolled his eyes.
"Why do bad guys love to gloat before the fight was even over?..." Danny thought.
"And once I re-educate these idiots, they shall see things my way. Starting my dear Princess and these ungrateful peons! .." Brutis said, still being haughty.
"Yes, because it's the peoples fault Princess Matchhead has taste!..." Sam snarked sarcastically.
"For once, I agree with you, goth human female..." Mandie said, still honoring the semi-truce between herself and Sam.
"The least she do is get my name right for once..."Sam thought out of slight announce.
"Oh, I certainly do know your name. I simply refuse to say it out of principle…" Mandie remarked.
"Oh, wonderful..." Sam grumbled.
"Again, my demands are the same as I said earlier. Surrender or be destroyed. And Mandie, you can either be my queen or die here and now! Tick tock Princess, what will it be? Finally coming to your senses or perish with the abomination?..."Brutis threatened.
"I AM/HE IS NOT AN ABOMINATION!..."Danny along with his girlfriend and friends shouted.
"Mutated with ectoplasam if you want to be technical but not an abomination..." Jazz said.
"Not the time, Jazz..." Sam said while scowling.
"IF YOU OFFER ME THAT REPULSIVE OFFER AGAIN, THAN I'LL STICK MY FLAME SWORD INTO YOU WHERE THE SUN DOESN'T SHINE! I RATHER GO DOWN FIGHTING THAN TO BECOME YOUR WIFE!..."Mandie yelled, leaping down and landing alongside her troops with her weapons drawn.
"Oh don't be such a drama queen, princess..."Brutis chuckled, as if he had just heard a joke.
"Yeah, I don't think she was joking or being dramatic..."Tucker said out of worry.
"Silence, human who's name I didn't care enough to remember! Or I shall remove your head and mount it on my wall to further my collection!..."Brutis threateningly demanded.
He then pressed a few buttons on her master control arm bracelet and shouted his next command.
"ATTACK!..."
Suddenly dozens of drones started charging at our heroes. The half ghost teen then summoned surge of ecto energy to enveloped both of his fists, throwing them forward blasting a line of droids.
Danny and his friends followed, with Danny making a shield and protecting the soldiers from the blasts.
"Will you take a hint, already? You sci-fi Benedict Arnold!..." Danny quipped.
"She doesn't want to marry you!..." He yelled.
"What she wants is pointless against what she needs! And what she needs—Nay! What all of Boudacia needs is a proper ruler!..." Brutus declared loudly. But his words rang hollow as the ghost boy made his way wishing punching distance.
"Wake up you delusional narcissist! Your supporters turned on you, my best friend is having the time of his life hacking into alien droids and keeping them from hurting any civilians and you're surrounded by people who could kick your butt blindfolded and with their arms behind their back..." Danny added.
"BE SILENT YOU MISERABLE EARTH FREAK! I HAVE HAD ENOUGH OF YOUR INSUFFERABLE BANTER!..."Brutis yelled.
"My jokes are hilarious!..." Danny said, not seeing the so-so gestures from his friends and sister behind him.
"And they're better than hearing you gloat the same things over and over calling yourself Brutis the great!..." He added.
This time his friends nodded in agreement, which only further angered Brutis, the not so great.
The ex-noble then attack blindly and filled with angered fury. The half ghost boy easily managed to avoid all the rage filled attacks, making sure that this part of his plan went off flawlessly.
"I will rip you apart and hang your remains above my palace gates to show everyone how pathetic your species is!... "The wanna be ruler shouted.
The wannabe Boudacian ruler then suddenly felt a sharp piercing sensation on one of his feet as he was in mid-jumping motion. Once Brutis looked around his surroundings, he spotted the other human male with glasses hold a small device that blew into.
"Thank You, Fenton Lipstick Lasor. You've never let me down..."Tucker said, as he blew off the bits of smoke coming from his pocket size anti-ghost weapon.
Brutis growled at that.
" You'll die right after I destroy that Phantom freak!..."He yelled, before ordering his droids to attack him.
"Yeah if I had a dollar for every time I heard that..." Tucker said not caring but thinking of what he'd do with that money..
The droids went to Tucker but the tech geek started typing into his PDA like his life depended on it.
Which it did at the moment.
"Eliminate! Eliminate! ELIMINATE!..." One of the droids shouted, but suddenly shorted out.
"What's wrong with battle drone mark A113?..." Another combat droids said to the other drone beside it.
"Nothing much. Our current new idiot leader ordered our one of our creators to rushed maintenance and caused a few random bots to be programed with some quirky flaws..." The other droid responded.
"That sounds like a horrible yet strangely intentional design flaw. Wait...is that why that drone was speaking with a fancy northern accent? Why would our creators build us this way?..." The second droid asked.
"Who really knows with those fleshy walking meat puppets. None of it matters, since our model series are recyclable and we'll all be reprogrammed after our inevitable destruction from actions of our current enemies anyway. Just be grateful that you're a drone and eliminate as many enemies as you can..." The other answered, as it charges into the battlefield.
The second drone simply shrugged it's mechanical shoulders and yelled "ELIMINATE" while racing at an enemy at random.
Needless to say that Tucker was confused and a bit intrigued by the exchange between the robots, but continued typing regardless.
All the while, Brutis continued to fight and kept receiving painful bruising throughout his prolonged battling. It was their sparring matches all over again.
"I really should have killed him when I had the chance..." Mandie thought to herself, briefly wishing that she could redo her own past.
Speaking of which Brutis looked ready to explode. His greenish-yellow complexion turned red with fists clenched tight enough to snap a spear.
"You know, a smart ruler would know when he's beaten. Granted, you never beat anyone and still keep coming, but I think it just shows how not-a-warrior you are…"Danny mocked.
"Silence, you freak! You might have tricked my loyal revolutionaries but they'll see the truth when Mandie is my queen and your friends are slaves at my feet!..."Brutis yelled.
"You're crazy you know that!..." Danny said, striking another nerve on the ex-noble.
"SHUT UP, EARTH TRASH!..."
"Your friends turned on you because they saw you try to use nanites on me instead of actually fighting, my friends can effortlessly kick your butt and that's not counting Mandie whose done it so many times it's not even funny..." He said.
Danny punched his palm, his eyes glowing.
"But the only way you're getting to them or to the rest of this planet is through me..." He said, now cracking his knuckles.
The sheer determination to stop the rogue Boudacian impressed the King and Queen and made the princess look at with love in her eyes.
"Such a great warrior..." Mandie thought dreamily as she watched Danny sent boasts to Brutis, who used his droids to protect himself.
"The halfling has gumption, I'll admit that he has that much at least..."Maurus stated.
"Watching the champion of Earth certainly is entertaining..." Milee commented.
"I suppose he's not the worst potential father for my grandchildren..." Maurus grumbled.
The not so great Brutis got enraged and immediately pressed some buttons and summoned more robotic minions to do his bidding.
"Destroy that half-ghost nuisance already, you worthless piles of scrap metal bots!..." Brutis loudly ordered.
Soon drones of bots began to swarm around the half ghost hero and the warrior space princess.
Mandie takes her weapon and stares down not only Brutis, but the entire robot that now outnumbered by 500 to 1. Each robot looked more armed to the teeth than the last. Already growing tired, Mandie took a deep breath as her confidence and killer instinct started to die down.
"Time to die!..." Mandie exclaimed.
"Uh, we talked about this. Nothing serious!..." Danny said.
"I mean us! WE are going to die!..." Mandie clarified.
"For once, I think she and I are in agreement. I hate to say it but this might be more than we..."Sam added.
"I don't think that's how it works..." Tucker said.
"Any chance that you might have a backup plan for in case something goes wrong?..." Jazz asked her brother.
"I do, but by the looks of things so far, there's going to be a lot more explosions later..." Danny said as the chaos continued.
A line of tanks rolled up, manned by droids, beeping as they got a lock on their on to the non Boudacians and backstabbing Boudacians targets.
"FIRE!..." Brutis said with a savage grin, wanting the glory of witnessing his enemies getting blasted to their doom.
A volley of laser blasts came from the tanks, scattering the defensive line of the Boudacian droids. While also causing quite a few buildings to collapse in on themselves.
Team Phantom and Mandie's family races to rescue as many Boudacian citizens as possible. They thankfully managed to get the ones who couldn't fight to safety and continued to take down more of Brutis's forces but had to above large buildings and structures that were falling to piece during the battle.
"Why does he have so many toys?..." Mandie questioned.
"I so regret giving that fool the entry codes to access into war room's weapons vault..." Maurus grumbled, regretting his pass mistakes involving Brutis.
Ducking behind some rubble as the first volley of lasers from the tanks came out.
"Can't you shut off these tanks?..." Jazz asked covering her ears.
"I'm sorry if I'm not going fast enough hacking into alien tanks while they're FIRING AT US!..."Tucker yelled to Jazz.
While he worked, Danny blocked or dodged the blasts as best as he could.
But like Tucker said, there were A LOT of tanks. And even of them were firing at random, making Tucker's attempts into hacking them more difficult than necessary.
"Can't believe I prefer dealing with Skulker's right now..."Tucker complained.
"Join the club..." Danny said, thinking that Skulker is basically the Box Ghost in comparison to what they're facing.
All the while Brutis laughed evilly as more tanks and droids fired and destroyed the area in an attempt to destroy them.
"This is insane! He is legitimately insane!..." Jazz shouted over the tank fire, while trying to avoid a few collapsing boudacian buildings.
"Tell me something I don't know, future sister in-law!..." Mandie shouted.
"Just call me Jazz!..." The redhead said. "And let not think that far ahead, first we gotta win this and maybe have a chat about that later..." She said.
"Very well, Jazz. And we will!..." Mandie agreed.
The princess then jumped right in front of the younger girl and hot her out of the way, saving her from being hit by the cannon fire.
"Thanks..."
"Think nothing of it..." Mandie politely said, saving her possible future sister in-law from falling debris.
"Note to self. If we somehow manage to survive all this, I may need to consider having a chat with Mandie about her habit of calling me her "sister-in-law" instead of just Jazz..." Jazz thought to herself.
Although that conversation with her little brother's space girlfriend might be more than she bargained for, which remains to be seen.
"Hopefully she'll be willing to talk with me without having a maniac trying to blast us to bits..." Jazz commented to herself, as the battle continued.
Meanwhile
The green haired ex hand maiden groaned, as she awoke.
"Ugh...what hit me?..." She said, massaging her head.
She heard the sounds of crashes and explosions. She saw that she was in some ship that was meant to transport prisoners to the dungeon.
However, it was stopped and even being turned on the side, she also saw no droids nearby.
"What happened?!..." She went as she pulled out a hair pin and used it to pick her locks.
Once done, she got out of the discarded ship, and saw that no guards or droids were around. She then saw the carnage nearby, which left her shocked at what her eyes were showing her.
"What is going on?!..." Dieana said, trying to collect her thoughts.
All the chaos from outside with droids riding tanks, carrying blasters and shooting nearly everywhere. This left Dieana speechless for a few minutes.
A normal person would have been horrified seeing the terrors of war brought to her people, wondering maybe if there was anywhere she could hide where it is safe. But Dieanna knew that even for a Boudacian, this wasn't normal.
Right now, she was still concerned with fulfilling her own personal agenda for vengeance.
"I LOSE CONSCIOUSNESS FOR A WHILE AND THE WHOLE PLANET IS IN A, WAR NOW?!..."She went, furiously at missing out on the chance for payback from her ex-beloved.
"So he finally pulled off his last resort...typical..." Dieana said, now no longer shocked by this outcome.
If anything, she was disappointed that Brutis even want through with this at all. Since she was one who warned him that this plan was a wasted effort that benefits no one. And is seems that she was proven right.
Now Brutis was left with no throne and no bride, something Dieanna knew was his own fault.
"I don't know where that heartbreaker is now but I will get my revenge!..." She said, leaping down into the fray attacking a loyalist soldier and one of Brutis' droids before marching off into the battlefield.
Brutis would pay for forsaking her for the spoiled brat, Mandie for being a pathetic loser who dishonored their people by losing Yugopatamia to a human pup and the ghostly superpowered human from this universe's earth.
And all of Boudacia would kneel to her as their new queen.
"Queen Dieanna the first of Boudacia, I like the sound of that..." Dieanna thought, as the possible benefits of her victory fascinated her, which also out weighed her concerns of the possible out comes from failing in her defeating Mandie for the throne.
Some might ask she was even crazier than Brutis and Plasmius together, but the former servant didn't care what others thought of her mental health. Only what she decided she wanted to do.
And right now, she wanted to find Brutus AND Mandie.
For the former, torture beyond imagination only came as she wished to protect the latter. All is fair in love and war, and now was the time to end things.
