Sonic's new friend, America Chavez, has the strange power to open portals to other dimensions. And Ruby managed to form an alliance with the NOL of Azure Earth. Just in time. Looks like Charles Xavier needs help for a problem that's too big even for the X-Men. Sure, we're free. Let's go lend them a hand!

Volume 1 Issue 14: Purification Crusade
OzSchnee Tower, New Vale City. Unified World. (2 Days Since the Convergence)
"R&D decided to name our new bio-enhancer 'Focus'. It'll strengthen the body's own nervous system, allowing the user to stay awake and active for over 72 hours without any side effects. Recommended for hard-stressed workers." A holographic version of Jacques Schnee said to his business partner in his office, reporting to Harry Osborn of their company's latest inventions since the cosmic merger.
"I know our employees would love that." Harry Osborn joked from his office desk, "Have them test it out for another two days using all ethical means and allow me to study the final results before shipment."
"Don't want to risk creating another Goblin?" Jacques teased, attempting to be a mentor to the young CEO.
"And avoid killing off my favorite Faunus workers." Harry snarks back at the abusive COO. "How goes the mining and research on the Convergium Crystals?" He then asked.
Happily, Jacques claps his hands expressing, "Smoothly, my boy. Our data suggest they produce a fusion energy twice more energy-efficient than Dust and nuclear fusion combined, and that's just the tip of the iceberg. Truly astonishing. I've already uploaded plans to use them as a power source for a new array of intelligent, sensor-equipped munitions to our servers. As well as experimental battle armor. Codenamed 'Project Olympus'."
"Delete those plans." Harry ordered with no hesitation. Just pure calmness that shocks his elderly partner.
"What? Why? If perfected, we can reduce accidental casualties on the battlefield by over 94%." Jacques retorted.
"Immediate weaponization around a new enigmatic element is not only immature but could very easily cause more casualties than ever before. Like I said in Solkaria, our top priority is to heal the world, not destroy it any further. Both our companies before OzSchnee were well-criticized in the latter department. Time for a change of pace." Harry argued calmly.
"How can we heal the world if there's no one alive to patch the wound? It's complete chaos out there with Grimm and supervillains running amok! The Solkarian Military alone needs all the help they can get!" Jacques sternly claimed.
"And we will provide it, just not with weapons. Fighting fire with fire is not always the best solution. We need to be considerate of innocents caught in the crossfire, like the mutants that are being hunted by that new anti-mutant group. The best defense can be a good offense. That's what the world solely needs at the moment." Harry contented, remaining wise and professional that cares more about the people than Jacques's concerns for profit.
"If you say so. Just remember what's best for the company. Keep up the good work, Osborn." Jacques scoffed.
"You too, Mr. Schnee." Harry replied, with Jacques ending the meeting by turning off his hologram.
Harry sits back on his chair to sigh and relax after that tense meeting. While he does, his secretary contacts him in regards to another important meeting, 'Mr. Osborn. Miss Winter Schnee of S.T.R.I.K.E. is here to see you.'
"Thank you. Let her in." Harry responded.
Right after that, Winter Schnee enters his office and starts their conversation with a dry joke, "Hear you and my father are getting along."
"That's what our PR department loves to say. I know your dad is stressing over this pretend mentor to me. But I'll endure it if it'll help our families get along." Harry quipped, planning to use this stressful partnership to his advantage.
"Don't be so naïve. That man is as dangerously selfish as your father." Winter advised him.
"And just as competitive. Which I can work to my favor." Harry claimed with enough vagueness that intrigues even the Schnee soldier. "Enough about him. What brings you here? Any update on the Convergence?" He asked, switching to a more important topic.
BGM-Shadow the Hedgehog OST-Doom's Eye
"Yes. Delta Team is getting ready to investigate that space between the Cross Spaces. A tremendous amount of concentrated ISO-8 energy was detected in that area. Perhaps the system that manages the Crossverse." Winter informed him.
"Hope so. You sure my dad's not involved in this mess somehow?" Harry asked, ready to take responsibility for whatever other crime his father had committed.
"I'll return with another update if new information suggests so." Winter replied before deciding to walk away.
"You don't have to visit me all the time. You can just call. Weiss can give you my number." Harry suggested, wanting to be friendly with his girlfriend's sister.
"That is precisely why I want to meet with you personally. To make certain you don't have any 'relapses' that would endanger her." Winter frowned, stopping for a moment to glare at the young Osborn.
"You know I was once a Green Goblin." Harry realized with a straight face.
"Yes. And while I sympathize with your issues regarding fathers, you have not earned my trust. Only my cooperation against this mutual threat." Winter proclaimed.
"Which requires mutual trust." Harry stated.
"I trust Weiss as she trusts you, so I will leave you with this warning…" Winter then gives him a threatening glare that expresses, "Behave yourself, Harry Osborn. If I catch a hint of you returning to madness, I WILL turn you in. Do not allow Norman's shadow to consume you again or allow my father to take advantage of you. My sister loves you. Do not break her heart." Coldly, she left the premises after that. Leaving behind Harry to contemplate her words in how to best end this Osborn/Schnee rivalry.

Meanwhile…
Darkness shrouds a neighborhood left in ruin by warfare with the only source of sound being the flickering streetlamps. Cars are broken and there are no people on the streets. Just three children hiding in the shadows of an alleyway, waiting for a helicopter to fly past them. They fear that helicopter was searching for them, for these children are not ordinary humans. One of them is a Mutant girl. Another is a Mobian bear boy. The last of the trio is a Faunus squirrel girl. The mutant girl acts as the leader and leads them on the run from fate. Past blood-written signs on walls that exclaim, "NO MUTANTS. NO MOBIANS. NO FAUNUS." But no matter how far they run, they can't outrun prejudice. From the real monsters that express said prejudice. Humans, dressed in red as militarized Christians.
"It's not your fault, little ones. Homo sapiens is the only true work of God. Mutant is the abomination of the devil. Mobians and Faunus alike are cousins to those demons. God doesn't want Cross-Species." The Terrorist Leader claimed eerily.
These vigilantes are a mystery. They wield advanced weaponry that they use to threaten these Cross-Species while surrounding them. But they're not going to go down without a fight, with the mutant leading the charge with her energy attacks that takes down a few of the racist monsters. Alas, a shockwave from a Christian slamming his staff to the ground quickly ends the fight with the trio being knocked down. Helpless and scared at the sight of guns targeting their faces. "This…is the judgment day." The Terrorist Leader frowned, before the death shots are fired.
BGM-X2: X-Men United OST-Opening Titles
That horrific act was all sensed from miles away by one man with unrivaled telepathic power, in his Cerebro Chamber underneath his X-Mansion. This man is also mutant. Publicly recognized as the leader of all mutants. To an unknown party behind him, he tells them his history. "Senseless…They hate us so much, just because we are different. Just because we are X-Species. This is the Xavier School for Gifted Youngsters. I am Charles Xavier, and I have dedicated my life to educating and training mutants. The best and brightest of my students you know as…The X-Men." Xavier thinks back to the past. From his original five students to the X-Men that has grown to the astonishing team they are today. Fighting for co-existence in a world that hates them. "We dream of a world of peace and equality. Where mutants, human, mobians, and faunus could live together peacefully. But there are those who would die, or kill, to stop this from happening." Then he thinks about all the enemies his X-Men has faced over the years. Like Magneto and his Brotherhood. Adam Taurus and the White Fang. Doctor Eggman and his empire. The Hellfire Club. Sentinels. William Stryker. Mighty foes that refuse to share the world with anyone. "That is why I've called you here. Anti-non-human activity has grown increasingly violent. The term 'Cross-Species' was coined to umbrella mutants, mobians, and faunus despite our differences. Because of the Convergence, the mutants and their cosmic cousins have taken it upon themselves to reform the fused old communities of Mutant Town and Knothole Village in New Vale City, Knot-X Town. But Knot-X Town is now under siege by anti-cross-species vigilantes. They call themselves, 'The Purifiers.' To my frustration I must tell you I don't know anything more about them. I need you to go to Knot-X Town and help stop the growing violence. Show your support for us. Let this new world know that its heroes and its x-species stand together." Xavier pleaded.
The group he has been talking to this whole time is a S.T.R.I.K.E. force of various races united to fight for the common good. Spider-Man, Ruby Rose, Noel Vermillion, and Jin Kisaragi represent humanity. Sonic the Hedgehog represent the mobians. Blake Belladonna represent the faunus. Cyclops, Wolverine, and Storm represent the mutants. And America Chavez represents the aliens that is content to punch anyone that threatens co-existence.
"We won't let you down, Professor." X-Men Leader Cyclops declared to his teacher.
"Let's go already. Portal us to the Village, Miss America." The impatient Sonic said to the dimension-hopper.
"Into the middle of a warzone? Bad idea." America Chavez snarked.
"Idiot." Jin Kisaragi mocked the hedgehog, much to his annoyance.
"We'll go the scenic route." Cyclops grinned at the non-X-Men of the group.
Past an X-shaped gate is the hanger bay where the X-Men store their various aircrafts. Their most common transport being the Blackbird. Xavier stays behind to watch the united heroes board the jet, with Cyclops being the pilot. The Blackbird then takes off at supersonic speeds, exiting the mansion from beneath the basketball court to fly through the nightly sky until they reach Knot-X Town.

"X-Species…So that's how they want to treat us now. And these Purifiers. Always feared the day when humans would form their own White Fang against us." Blake commented with folded arms during the jet ride, frowning in frustration over current events.
"Did the Convergence create the Purifiers?" Ruby wondered.
"No. From what we know, they've been working in the shadows for months until the Convergence gave them the excuse to go public with their killings. The Convergence already decimated a good portion of x-species all over the world and they want to finish the job while the iron's hot." Cyclops answered.
"Why do people hate mutants so much? Mobians and Faunus I understand. They're the beastkin of your world, hated for looking like animals. But you X-Men don't look like animals." Noel asked the X-Men.
"Except for Wolverine." Spider-Man quipped, earning said mutant's growling ire.
"Humanity doesn't just hate us for being different. They fear our latent power would pose a threat to them." Storm answered.
"Latent power?" The confused Noel responded.
In response to her confusion, Cyclops elaborates for the lieutenant, "Every mutant is born with an 'X-Gene' that grants them superhuman abilities once activated, like telepathy or the power to phase through walls. Some powers are harmless while others are not. If left unmastered, those powers can bring catastrophe to the whole world, hence why the Professor created his school to teach us control in hopes of co-existence. But for years humanity has struggled to accept that dream."
"Because they fear of being replaced. That the future is leaving them behind in favor for the evolved." Jin calmly realized.
"Exactly." Cyclops confirmed.
"It's the same in every dimension. Humanity fears what they don't understand because they refuse to give 'em a chance." America commented grimly.
"Wasn't the case in my world. Mobians and Humans were very chill with each other as far as I knew." Sonic stated.
"The Convergence left this world scared. It's like being a transferred student in a foreign country. Too nervous to introduce yourself properly while the bullies find you easy picking. It's our job to guide everyone toward a peaceful meeting." Cyclops declared sternly. A sentiment shared by the rest of his team.
"We're here! Knot-X Town!" Wolverine announced.
The heroes look outside their windows to see the ghetto that the X-Species of Manhattan have moved into in order to escape poor treatment from humans. Knot-X Town. A tree-filled district with lots of popular businesses and treehouse apartments. Once a thriving community born from the merger between Knothole Village and Mutant Town, it now stands on the brink of extinction due to the vicious Purifier attacks.
"It's worse than I thought…" Blake stares in horror at the invaded village.
"Remember when this used to be Knothole. Was kinda my childhood home while Eggman was ruling Mobotropolis." Sonic scowled, eager to save his former home.
'X-Men, can you hear me?' Charles Xavier communicated with them through his telepathy.
"Loud and clear, Professor." Cyclops responded.
'You need to locate the heart of the Purifier's operations but, first, do what you can here and provide support to assailed X-Species and local police force. Find Espio the Chameleon and Miss Amitola of STRIKE's Beta Team and assist them as best as you can. I will stay in touch periodically, using my telepathy to contact you with important information.' Professor X ordered them.
BGM-X-Men '97 OST-X-Men '97 Theme
"Good!" Cyclops sets his jet on autopilot before facing his team. "Let's show the Purifiers what a united species is capable of!" He rallied his X-Men for awesome battle.
The Blackbird flies over Knot-X Town just as the X-Men freefall from it. Storm was the last to jump and the first to strike the unsuspecting Purifiers with her mutant power over the weather, unleashing a mighty lightning storm that clears a landing zone for her friends. Two mutant children in the Wretched Slum were cornered by Purifiers until Wolverine lands between them and pops out his Adamantium claws to skewer the mutant killers. Cyclops lands soon after, obliterating a surprise Sentinel robot with his iconic optic blast right before the rest of the STRIKE force reunite with the mutant heroes.
"They have Sentinels. That puts the 'extreme' in extremists." Spidey joked.
"Blake, you're with me to find Beta Team! Rest of you, partner up for search and rescue! One saves lives, the other covers their life!" Cyclops ordered them as quickly as them dispersing all over Knot-X Town to fulfill their objectives.
Ruby and Noel tag-team against Purifiers, the former bursting into petals around them while the latter fires a fearsome volley at them using her Bolverk guns. While Spidey zips through Star Portals to save x-species trapped in burning treehouses, America has some fun pummeling the cultists that wants to stop his efforts. A Sentinel locks onto Sonic, amidst him speeding around and saving lives, and would've blasted him and the faunus woman he's carrying into smithereens if it weren't for Storm's lightning bolts. The combo between Wolverine and Kisaragi ain't too shabby either, with the NOL Major freezing cultists using his Yukianesa blade to give the X-Man time to rip open a building door that's about to collapse.
"Get outta here!" Wolverine shouted at the x-species that were trapped inside, gesturing them to flee to safety.
"Death to the sinners!" A Purifier shouted, leading a squad in firing bullets at the duo. Jin tries to shield himself with an Ars Magus shield, but surprisingly their strange bullets penetrate his magitek and harm both him and Wolverine.
"Impossible! There's no way their bullets can pierce Ars Magus!" The shocked Jin expressed.
"Those weren't just ordinary bullets. They have Vibranium-based weapons! How did punks like you get your hands on that?" Wolverine interrogated the cultists while healing from his wounds.
"We ain't telling you squat, mutie." A Purifier mocked.
"You will if you want to keep that mouth." Wolverine threatened, charging alongside Kisaragi to decimate the cultists.

Elsewhere in the Wretched Slums, Purifiers are collaring X-Species to inhibit any special power they might possess and make it far easier to drag them to the back of their trucks for transport. "Get in, you abominations!" A brutal Purifier said, pushing a frightened mobian into a truck.
BGM-Sonic at the Olympic Games ~ Tokyo 2020 OST-Boss: Espio
Their racist acts call attention to two camouflaged forces that easily overwhelm the Purifiers with their unique techniques. One of them reveal themselves to be former White Fang member Ilia Amitola, using her Lightning Lash to taze cultists with every whip. One tazed Purifier is quickly kicked to the ground by the unveiling Espio the Chameleon, the ninja detective that is just as quick throwing shurikens to dispatch more enemies.
"Stay still." Espio advises an imprisoned X-Species, using his kunai to swiftly cut apart their collars.
All but one Purifier was left standing from the chameleons' ambush, and right after shouting, "Damn X-Species! Play dead!", and pointing his rifle at them, he is disarmed by Blake and blasted to submission by Cyclops.

"Blake!" Ilia shouted in happiness before running to hug her old friend.
"You okay, Ilia?" Blake asked.
"I am, now that you're here." Ilia replied, sharing a passionate smile with her fellow faunus.
"What's the trouble?" Cyclops asked the mobian chameleon.
"A pack of X-Species fled into this warehouse for safety but were pursued by Purifiers. The police don't have the manpower or the firepower to deal with them." Espio answered, pointing to a nearby warehouse.
"We'll have to get in there and do what we can." Cyclops responded.
"These Purifiers are insane. Maybe moreso than the White Fang. They're attacking X-Species all over the world. Lucky for us, we found out about their local base of operations. They call it the Church of Purification." Ilia informed the X-Man leader.
"Tell us more about it after we rescue the x-species." Cyclops replied.
"Right." Ilia nodded sternly.
BGM-X-Men Legends OST-New York City (Action)
Several X-Species civilians are trapped everywhere in this invaded warehouse, forced into fetal positions by the intimidating Purifiers. A door being blasted down caught everyone's attention as the x-species are ecstatic to see Cyclops's group has come to their rescue. "The X-Men!" A Mutant Civilian smiled, as Cyclops lasers his captors away.
"Over here! Quickly!" Ilia gestured, helping the mutant escape.
"Don't get in our way, freaks! Guard Robos, kill them!" A Purifier ordered, deploying gray versions of Gamma-like Badniks to battle.
"Roger that!" A Guard Robo acknowledged, firing explosives from its shoulder-mounted cannon at the heroes that are quick to defend civilians from the crossfire.
"They even have Badniks?" Blake scowled, shielding a x-species civilian during their escape.
"Purifiers bought them from Eggman to be modified mobian killers. Hear their leader is well-connected." Espio responded, destroying some Robos with explosive shurikens.
Cyclops holds his own against this formidable army with skillful use of his mutant power. His optic blast backdashes himself and a rescued civilian to hand the latter over to Ilia before lasering a Purifier. The mutant leader continues his assault by punching another cultist and blasting Guard Robos, backdashing from enemy fire to close gaps and pummel more enemies, easily blocking a punch from one cultist with just his arm before countering with a chuckling eye beam. All while giving his friends time to rescue the other trapped civilians. "Why the sudden attack on Cross-Species? The world is already under a lot of stress and needs all species united to save it." Cyclops asked the remaining cultists that he's pummeling.
"God doesn't see it that way. Our Reverend saw the Convergence as the sign to eradicate your remaining ilk. He made the first step and now we have to take the next." A Purifier claimed, using a tech-powered psychic power powered that blows back the X-Man with a shockwave.
"You IDIOTS!" Blake exclaimed with rage over their reasoning for this attack on their kind, firing a sword beam that defeats the psychic cultist.
"Calm down, Blake! Don't let their nonsense rile you up!" Cyclops retorted.
"Sorry." Blake apologized.
"We need reinforcements! Bring out a Sentinel and Egg Hammer!" A Purifier Commander ordered.
On cue, a Sentinel drops in alongside a humanoid Super Badnik that can carry massive hammers with just one hand. Both giant bots tower over a faunus civilian scared out of his mind and prepare to terminate him. Espio acts quick, launching a grappling hook that catches and pulls the civilian away from harm to be caught and gestured to safety by Ilia. "That's everyone!" Ilia announced that all the x-species civilians have been rescued.

"Not quite! There's still YOUR lives to worry about! Here's a gift from God!" The Purifier Commander grins while his arrogant hand lifts up a Convergium Crystal that worries the X-Men.
BGM-Marvel vs. Capcom 3 OST-Theme of Sentinel
The Convergium Crystal is thrown into the air between the Sentinel and Egg Hammer to radiate a frightening power. The gem captures the two robots in its energy field and separates them into particles that then fuses them together in a seamless cyclonic way. The merged result resembles a Sentinel but with the intimidating face and hammering weapon of the Egg Hammer. The Egg Sentinel Hammer. A titanic hybrid robot with a massive hammer that can crush any X-Species.
'What is this?' The telepathic Professor X gives his thoughts on this merged monstrosity.
"Professor, what just happened?" Cyclops asked.
'He just used a Convergium Crystal to fuse them together.' Professor X stated.
"TERMINATE X-SPECIES!" The Egg Sentinel announced its sole objective whilst slamming its hammer with the earth-tremoring force to blow back the four X-Species heroes that decided to confront it.
"Let's take this outside! Storm, you and the others prepare an ambush!" Cyclops ordered a retreat from the warehouse.
Cyclops's group flee the warehouse with the Egg Sentinel smashing itself out of it in pursuit. Storm arrives with lightning bolts that the merged machine endures before blasting her down with its hand blaster. "The bots just keep looking more ridiculous." The smirking Sonic joked, running in to bombard the hybrid robot with high-speed Spin Attacks from everywhere that do little damage.
"CRUSH! HARD DRIVE!" The Egg Sentinel announced, violently repelling the hedgehog into a building with its temporary forcefield.
"Spidey! Catch!" Cyclops shouted, firing an optic blast at the Sentinel's hand that forces it to drop its hammer.
"Hammer time!" Spidey quipped, swinging in to catch the hammer in order to deliver a swift slam that smashes it to the ground.
As Noel rushes into the battlefield, Cyclops asks her, "Have anything that can pierce its armor?"
"I might. Bolverk, transform!" Noel shouted, stylishly transforming her handguns into a giant railgun. "Sleipnir!" She stated, wielding it effortlessly.
Cyclops smiles at her, "That'll do.", before glaring at both Sonic and Storm with a plan that'll destroy the robot, "Give it a lift!" They understood the assignment as they are quick to execute it. Just as the Egg Sentinel was about to lift itself up, it is overpowered by the combined wind of Sonic running around it at superspeeds and Storm harnessing the forces of nature itself. Their mighty hurricane carries it high into the sky, well within the targeting range of both Cyclops and Noel. Neither holds anything back with this next attack. The X-Man unleashes a Mega Optic Blast and the Azure Successor fires a powerful electric spearhead blast from Sleipnir. Both combine into a devastating blow that pierces the Egg Sentinel Hammer straight through the torso, causing it to explode safely from the grateful civilians of Knot-X Town.

The Purifier Commander is terrified to see the Egg Sentinel destroyed and makes a break for it to save his own life. The second he tries, he is smacked down by Wolverine arriving late to the fight. "Call us in just to hog up all the fun." Wolverine snarked, accompanied by Jin Kisaragi.
"Your fault for being slow to the action." Sonic teased.
"Have all the people evacuated?" Cyclops asked them.
"Obviously." Jin answered aloofly, just as America and Ruby join them.
"We're fighting a losing battle. The Purifiers are overwhelming us from the Projects. We need to cut them off at their source if we hope to make any progress." America told the group.
"Ilia, you mentioned a Church of Purification earlier. Where can we find it?" Cyclops asked the chameleon.
"We have legitimate intel that indicates the Purifiers are streaming up onto the street-level from beneath this city via the Morlock Underground. There's a secret tunnel down there that connects their base in an abandoned trainyard with here." Ilia stated.
"Great. Shouldn't take us long to go in and beat up their leader." Spidey quipped.
"I'm certain you won't find William Stryker there." Espio responded.
"Stryker? That's who's leading the Purifiers?" Storm expressed mild shock at this reveal.
"Not shocked. This has his scent all over it." Wolverine scoffed.
"Who is Stryker?" The curious Ruby asked, noticing the X-Men are familiar with this new enemy.
"A reverend driven by a fanatical belief that it is his 'divine mission' to eradicate mutants. And he's certainly tried. He thinks of us as demons created by the devil himself. Only he would have the connections and money to create the Purifiers." Cyclops briefs the team on their foe.
"Madman deluded himself into thinking it's his 'calling' to kill Faunus and Mobians too. Unbelievable. He's not even giving us a chance." Blake scowls with frustration over Stryker's instant prejudice with X-Species.
"Stryker's a nut that keeps coming back even after being cracked open. We'll knock some sense into him. Meantime, let's destroy his church to piss him off. I'll lead." Wolverine said, walking to the entrance that'll lead to the Morlock Underground.
"Espio and Ilia, hold the fort. We won't be gone long." Cyclops ordered the chameleons.
"Understood. A good time to further your training." Espio said to his fellow chameleon.
"You want to become a ninja?" Blake asked her friend.
"It sounds useful in the long run. We're both chameleons after all." Ilia smiled.
"Just don't let him convince you to become a detective. You'll just be swamped with bills." Sonic teased, eliciting a laugh and scoff from Ilia and Espio respectively and sharing goodbye waves with them while X-Men heads for the Morlock Underground.
Shortly After…
BGM-X-Men Legends OST-Morlock Tunnels 1 (Quiet)
"Ugh…What a wonderful smell you've discovered." The ceiling-crawling Spider-Man joked, traveling through the dark disgusting tunnels of Morlock Underground with the X-Men in their search for the Church of Purification.
"Stay close. All of you." Storm said, using her lightning to illuminate their path.
"Do you know where we're going, Wolverine?" Jin Kisaragi asked the lead mutant.
"Yeah, he always knows where he's going." Cyclops assured him.
Wolverine sniffs the air as his senses are key in tracking down the Purifier base, "Just following the nose."
"Ugh…Today is not a good day to have super-mutant senses." Sonic grunted in disgust.
"Part of me wishes my friend Makoto was here to meet the X-Men. She would love you guys, standing up for your kind." Noel smiled, taking a liking to the mutant heroes.
"Thanks." Cyclops smiles back in gratitude.
"But the other part of me would be worried about her if she was here. Beastkin have it rough back home, but…I don't think we have a cult that wants to wipe them off the face of the planet." Noel frowned, noting just how more violent this world treats its non-humans than on Azure Earth.
"I'm worried how the White Fang will retaliate. If this keeps up, we could have a war between humans and Cross-Species. Another Faunus Rights Revolution. With no one emerging as the victor." The worried Blake commented.
"It won't come to that, I promise. Weren't you planning on starting a Unity Club to help our peoples get along?" Cyclops asked, reminding her of her Huntsmen Unity Division project.
"Postponed until we solve this Convergence Crisis. If possible…" Blake frowned.
"No reason to perform a test run. All of us may not be huntsmen, but we share the same desire for unity. It is a new world. Let us enrich it with the lessons formed from past mistakes." Storm smiled, gifting a comforting hand on the faunus's shoulder.
"Thanks, Ororo." Blake grinned with thankfulness, strengthening her resolve to forge peace between all species.
A moment later and Wolverine prompts the team to stop and maintain silence behind a corner as his nose detects two Purifiers guarding the exit. "Stryker's Purifiers are right there." He informed everyone.
One by one, the unsuspecting Purifiers are web-yanked by the faces. They remove the webbing just to be horrified by the sight of the X-Men intimidating them. And an upside-down Spidey casually waving to them, "Sup?" Wolverine lets out a wild roar while his claws show no mercy to the cultists. Knocking them out quickly before leading the team out to their destination.
"There it is." Wolverine announced their arrival.
"This is a church?" America mocks this place for just looking like an old trainyard.
"Wow, they are cuckoo for cocoa puffs." Spidey joked.
"Sshh! We're not alone." Wolverine whispered.
"Like, in the universe?" Spidey quipped quietly.
"Where is the Church of Purification, Logan?" Storm asked their tracker.
"Follow me." Wolverine responded.
"Stay close." The stern Sonic advised, as the team follow Logan in locating the Purifier Church.

BGM-X-Men Legends II: Rise of Apocalypse OST-Military Prison Outpost (Quiet)
Purifiers are patrolling every section of this old trainyard. Appropriate considering this is near their base of operations. It doesn't seem they know the X-Men have infiltrated this place yet. A condition the heroes are working to their favor using stealth tactics. From the shadows, Blake and Cyclops watch a Purifier walk into their line of sight. The second he crosses it, the huntress pulls him in using her grappling hook for her mutant friend to quietly subdue. And that is only the beginning.
"What's the plan to shut this place down?" Blake whispered to her partner.
"We take down their champion." Cyclops answered.
"Which would be…?" Blake asked.
'Juggernaut.' Professor X responded through his telepathy, 'I have read the Purifiers' minds to learn they have recruited him to guard their church.'
"Marko's here? That's just lovely." Wolverine snarked, subduing a Purifier with a brutal stealth takedown.
"Of all the maniacs, why'd it has to be that unstoppable meathead?" Spidey complained, launching a Web Bomb that immobilizes a crowd of cultists.
'Sadly, his furious hatred of me and my X-Men makes him their more-than-willing pawn.' Professor X elaborated.
"Who is Juggernaut?" Ruby asked, blitzing some Purifiers into America's Star Portal that traps them in a desert.
'My stepbrother, Cain Marko. Wielder of the Crimson Gem of Cyttorak that grants him immense demonic power.' Xavier explained.
"I've dealt with fools like him before. He won't be a problem." Jin claimed arrogantly, casually walking up to a large Purifier crowd that he instantly immobilizes with the freezing shockwaves fired from his sword.
"He already is since we don't know where he's at. Wolvie, anything?" Sonic asked, blitzing through several Guard Robos.
"In there. The Church of Purification." Wolverine sniffed, pointing out their destination which is a massive church decorated by the Purifiers themselves.

Storm blows away all the outer guards with her wind and follows her friends into the Church of Purification. To end the Purifier siege on Knot-X Town, they must defeat the Juggernaut. But he's not inside. No one is. The whole place looks deserted with nothing left but the foreboding atmosphere. "No one's home. This looks like a trap." Miss America noted.
Swiftly, Blake's ears perk up as she hears someone powerful smashing through walls toward their location. "It definitely sounds like it…" Blake stated whilst brandishing her weapon.
BGM-Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions OST-VS Juggernaut - Don't You Know Who I Am!?
The crashing sounds get louder and louder and only encourages the heroes to be ready for a fight against the unstoppable. "JUMP ASIDE!" Wolverine shouted, just as the Unstoppable Juggernaut barges through the wall and everyone jumps away from his rampaging path.
"Was waiting for you X-Losers to show up. Been itchin' to go on a rampage all day!" Juggernaut confronted them with a taunting smile.
"That's why you reduced yourself to be Stryker's lapdog? You continue to be a disappointment, Marko." Cyclops snarked.
Cyclops is quick to fire an optic blast that Juggernaut easily reflects to his face with a simple slap. His unstoppable rampage begins anew as Juggernaut overpowers the heroes with a flying headbutt followed up with a fearsome rupture of the earth that knocks most of them across the room. Wolverine assaults him with slashes that don't tickle him, then Jin delivers a sword strike that is effortlessly caught before Marko stuns him with a devastating gut-punch and uppercuts him through the ceiling, sending him high into the air until he returns by crashing through another part of the roof.
"His strength is unreal…He's as strong as Azrael!" Jin commented, coughing out blood.
"The Professor did warn you!" Spidey snarked, web-throwing a steel chair that does nothing more than annoy him.
"We sure this guy isn't a mutant?" Noel asked, firing space-piercing shots with her handguns that do penetrate his armor before Marko decides to ram through them all with his unstoppable charge.
"A common misconception." Storm quipped, pushing the lieutenant away from the charge with a whirlwind. "Professor, can't you use your telepathy to knock him unconscious?" She asked their telepathic leader.
'Not with that helmet on. Find a way to remove it.' Xavier advised them.
Sonic lands a Spin Dash on Juggernaut's face before Spidey blinds him with webbing, stunning him to give Blake a chance to weaken him. The faunus jumps onto his back to use her sword in a struggle to pull out his helmet, but it was in vain as the blinded Marko slams his back onto a wall to knock her out cold. He removes the webbing just in time to trade fisticuffs with America that shakes the whole church for a bit until the Walking Disaster catches a fist and throws her through the support beams that gives Ruby an idea.
"Got an idea. Let's drop the whole church on him." Ruby suggested to Cyclops.
"Good call. Everyone, out!" Cyclops responded, agreeing to her plan.
Their friends comply in retreating from the church and leave Scott and Ruby to confront the cocky Juggernaut. "Where're you scaredy-cats running?" Marko taunted the runners.
"Say your prayers!" Cyclops snarked, firing an optic blast that destroys the remaining support beams.
The church begins collapsing and Ruby uses her Cross Art to warp herself and Scott out of there, leaving behind the surprised Juggernaut to be crushed by the falling debris. Unsurprisingly, a collapsed church did little to harm the invulnerable brute as the heroes watch Juggernaut burst himself free roaring, "That's not gonna stop me! I'm the Juggernaut!", with great fury.
America strikes the distracted Juggernaut with a powerful uppercut that knocks him high into the air for the next stage of their counterattack. As Storm prepares a snowstorm, Jin readies his Nox Nyctores for the one move that might stop the unstoppable while he's in midair. "Empty Sky True Form: CRYSTAL MOONSTORM!" Jin shouted, using the snowstorm to strengthen his huge ice tower that traps the fallen villain.
"I say Marko, you say Polo." Spidey jokes while attaching himself to the frozen Marko's back in another struggle to remove his helmet. "Marko!" He said, receiving his foe's struggling grunt in response. "Marko!" He said again, annoying his enemy into unleashing a more struggling roar.
Just when it seems Spidey's about to remove his helmet, Juggernaut unleashes all of his immeasurable strength to shake the very foundation of the ice tower to the point of the whole thing cracking. "Impossible!" Jin exclaims his utter shock at Marko's limitless power. The ice tower shatters like glass from his flex, startling Spidey before he is grabbed by the furious Juggernaut that throws him at both Cyclops and Ruby amidst their fall, knocking all three out while Marko lands on the ground safe and enraged.
"He really is unstoppable!" The horrified Sonic exclaimed.
"Keep attacking! I have a backup plan!" America proclaimed, taking charge of the remaining heroes in a final assault on Juggernaut. The others comply, keeping Marko at bay with everything they have to buy America time. The multidimensional hero flies up to empower her fist with dimensional energy, muttering, "Only got one shot at this." Then she shouts, "HEY, JUGGERS!", to get him watching her fly straight at him, "Let's see if THIS will stop you!"
"Not gonna give you the chance! Like it'll even tickle." Juggernaut retorted, throwing a large train at her. A costly mistake on his end as her taunting was just another distraction. To goad him into attacking so she can slip through a Star Portal to ambush him from his blind spot.
"LAUGH AT THIS!" America shouted, unleashing the full force of her energy punch onto his helmet.
Her attack was the strongest of them all to bypass his invulnerability, just barely. It caused Juggernaut to stagger, infuriate him into smacking her onto a nearby train laughing, "Still didn't break me!"
But the injured America just smiles at him. Taunting him by saying, "Just enough…", while staring at the hole her punch cracked open in his helmet.
That hole was enough for Professor X to penetrate his psychic defenses and unleash a powerful mental attack that causes his stepbrother great pain. 'Long time no see, Cain.' Xavier greeted him.
"Charles! You…bastard! How…Get out of my head!" Juggernaut roared in agony, struggling to fight against his brother's mental powers.
'I'm afraid I cannot do that. You have placed innocent people in mortal danger. Your rampage must be stopped.' Xavier declared, pushing his powers further to weaken him.
"But…I'm unstoppable." Marko claims whilst collapsing onto his knees. "I'll…get you for this…little brother…" He vowed weakly, right before his body fully collapses into unconsciousness thanks to his brainy brother.

BGM-Project X Zone 2 OST-Because It's The Right Path
"Guess something CAN stop the Juggernaut, eh. Us!" Wolverine taunts the unconscious Juggernaut, and proudly so now that the X-Men have conquered the Church of Purification.
"Are you alright?" Noel asked Ruby, who awakens alongside the other heroes that were knocked out in battle.
"Yeah." Ruby grunted, rubbing her aching head.
"Excellent job damaging his protective helmet, America." Storm smiled, complimenting the new hero to their dimension.
"Hey, it was a team effort." America retorted humbly.
'Thank you for ending this threat, team. By defeating Juggernaut, the Purifiers have recognized their loss and are fleeing from Knot-X Town as we speak.' Professor X informed them.
"Espio, can you confirm? Are the Purifiers retreating?" Cyclops asked, contacting the ninja through the comlink.
'Yes. Though we're taking a few in custody for interrogation on Stryker's whereabouts.' Espio responded.
"Good thinking. Need help with cleanup after we put away Juggernaut?" Cyclops asked with a victorious smile, while Spidey imprisons Marko inside an Interdimensional Orb.
'No thanks. The X-Men did enough for all X-Species tonight. Get some rest. I sense you'll be needed to counter a darker threat soon.' Espio suggested, having a foreboding sense that this war against the Purifiers will escalate.

Elsewhere…
Three men are standing in front of a clock tower in an unknown city during a harsh blizzard. Two of them are Purifiers pointing their assault rifles at a foe. A Faunus. And not just any faunus, but Adam Taurus. The masked bull stands unbothered by their vibranium guns. Completely calm even while walking towards them and warning them, "Out of my way! Coming through! Unless you want to end up like your friends."
The Purifiers step back in fear but hold their ground, continuing to aim their rifles at Taurus while one of them struggle to tell him, "S-STOP! Don't move or we'll shoot!"
"Stupid humans…" Taurus muttered, vanishing in a blink of an eye and slashing the goons to death, one fatal blow each. "Hmph!" He scoffs at his easy victory.
BGM-Shadow the Hedgehog OST-Doom's Eye
"Very impressive, Adam."
Descending from the sky to compliment the White Fang Renegade is essentially his partner-in-crime. A valuable mutant ally that shares his disdain for the human race and desires to crush them with his superior power. His name is Magneto, the Master of Magnetism.
"Found something?" The curious Taurus asked him.
"My spies inform me of Stryker's base and word of a superweapon to eradicate all Cross-Species. Prepare your White Fang for a full-frontal assault tomorrow. As usual, my Brotherhood will aid you in our quest for vengeance." Magneto informed him.
"Thank you, sir." Taurus said, expressing his respect to his mutant partner. "How quick this fool Stryker is to play judge, jury, and executioner on species he never knew about until recently. No matter the dimension, all humans are pitiful creatures fearful of our strength and unwavering conviction. If he wants a war, then we'll just give him one." He declared with a cold clenched fist.
"I couldn't agree more, my apprentice." Magneto smiled, as both X-Species leaders vow to conquer mankind starting with William Stryker.

BGM-Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 OST-Gallery
KFX Here: Another mini-arc starring your favorite X-Men and their Mobian/Faunus allies. Been in the X-Men mood lately, and it's all thanks to the X-Men 97 cartoon that just finished recently. I never watched the original 90s cartoon, but thanks to its sequel series, I'm gonna give it a shot soon. X-Men 97 really gave me a newfound appreciation for the X-Men brand. Don't get me wrong, I always liked them and loved their other cartoons like X-Men Evolution, but if their name isn't Wolverine, I didn't care much about the cast like Cyclops. I blame the movies. But thanks to the recent show, I like the X-Men a lot more now. I should note that in this story Cyclops is sporting his "Astonishing" costume and both Wolverine and Storm their "Marvel vs. Capcom 3" looks. Noel Vermillion is also wearing her "Chrono Phantasma" attire too.

Guest (Chapter 18): I can confirm that other Sega characters like the Virtua Fighters do now exist in this Unified Universe. I have been thinking that next few stories set after The Solaris Dynasty will focus on crossovers with other Sega characters. A Persona 5/Spider-Man crossover does sound interesting to me.
