Ch 25 The Hearing
"It'll be my pleasure to watch over your Child, master." Atalante Alter said, watching her master motion the little Boy to his side.
Kadoc and Anastasia approach, seeing it's time to introduce the young heir. "(Still can't believe that Ritsuka's Son looks like him. You might believe that he's actually his biological Son.)" The white-haired Magus commented.
Anastasia nodded, seeing what her Partner was seeing. "(Yes, master Kadoc. He does resemble master very much.)" The Lostbelt Servant smiles, seeing the young black-haired Boy. "I have to admit, he does look adorable in the Chaldean Winter Gear," She added.
Ritsuka held his Son on his back, introducing him to the Servants and Kadoc. "Harry, this here is Atalante Alter. She'll be taking care of you while both me and your Mother are working." He introduced his Son to the Berserker.
Harry looks up at the Altered Greek Hero, hearing about her in Jason and the Argonauts. "N-Nice to meet you, Ms. Alter." He greeted the Berserker.
Atalante Alter gave a warm smile, kneeling to his level. "Alter just describes me and the rest of the Altered Servants." She explains softly to the Child, "I'm a corrupted version of Atalante who bears the Caledonian Boar. But if it's too much, just call me Atalante if you prefer."
The young Wizard smiles, "Okay, Atalante Alter." Harry said, trying his best to learn the proper way to learn the Servants' names.
Harry then noticed a white-haired Woman holding a Doll in her hand and a white-haired Man wearing something similar to his Father's Mystic Code. "Harry, this here is your Uncle, Kadoc Zemlupus." Ritsuka introduced the Magus as an Uncle figure to him.
"Man is called Uncle right out of the blue is strange," Kadoc commented, placing his hand behind his neck. His eyes look over to Harry, unsure how to feel about being this Kid's Uncle. He saw his eyes were staring up at him. "Tch,"
Kadoc clicked his tongue, stepping in front of Harry. "Hey there Kid, I guess I'm your Uncle." He greeted Harry, unsure how to greet a Child who was not a Servant. "Nice to meet you,"
Harry gave his new Uncle a bright smile, "H-Hello, Uncle Kadoc." He smiles, happy to meet a new member of his "Family".
'Man, this Kid is too innocent to be in Chaldea…but this is Ritsuka and Mashu's choice.' Kadoc said, seeing some red flags when it comes to the Future. He stood up, leaning over to Ritsuka. "(Hey, Ritsuka is it really okay for your Kid to be in our hearing with…you know.)" He whispers to the master of Chaldea.
Ritsuka smiles, placing his hand on Kadoc's shoulders. "Don't worry, Da Vinci said that she got something Harry might like." He said to the Russian director.
Kadoc nodded, "Huh, now that you mentioned it, I don't see Da Vinci with you. Must be in her Workshop getting what you mentioned." The Russian director commented, looking around for the Second Technology Development Division Head.
"Da Vinci is preparing the thing she said, so she might be in the Workshop for a while," Mashu added, informing him why Da Vinci wasn't here.
Kadoc nodded before feeling Anastasia walking over to them. "Master, master Kadoc, it's going to be a strong cold wind coming. It's best to take this conversation inside the Outpost." Anastasia turns to Harry, smiling at him.
"Hello there, young master. I am Anastasia Nikolaevna Romanova, I serve your Father in the Caster Class. I must say you are adorable up close," Anastasia said, smiling at the Boy.
Harry blushed at the compliment before realizing her name. "Anastasia? As in the Daughter of the last Tsar of Russia?" He asked,
Anastasia blushed a bit from how knowledgeable the young Wizard was. "My, I didn't expect you might know of my Origins, young master." The Lostbelt Servant smiles, "Yes, I'm that Anastasia you heard about. I hope that it doesn't change your perception of me."
Harry shook his head, "No, I'm just surprised to see you here in Chaldea and all,"
"Well, I am a Lostbelt Servant. It's natural for Servants who exist in the Lostbelts join Chaldea." Anastasia explains to the young Heir. "In any case, let's head inside where it's warm. Right, master Kadoc?" She looks at her former master.
"R-Right, ahem. Kieri has things set up in the office, a couple of the Oprichniks are standing by while Ivan is waiting for us to proceed." Kadoc explained to his Friend what happened.
Ritsuka nodded, taking in the information. "Okay, let's head in." He looks down at Harry as he grabs his hand.
Atalante Alter followed closely as they entered the Outpost.
They walk inside, where the lobby is decorated with Noble decorations. Similar to how Ivan the Terrible's Castle was in Yaga Moscow.
Once inside, Kieri and a couple of Servants greeted the master. However, his eyes darted over to the young Child, giving him a chilling smile. "Yorokobe shounen. Welcome to the Russian Branch of Chaldea." The Alter Ego greeted the young master. "I am Father Kieri Kotomine, the Assistant director to director Zemlupus, It's an honor to meet the next head of Chaldea, young master."
Harry felt a bit uncomfortable when he saw the Priest. Unlike Shirou Kotomine back in the British Outpost, Kieri was a bit off like he's one to trifle with. He held onto his Father's hand tightly, "Hmm…" He hid behind Ritsuka,
Ritsuka felt his Son shifting behind him. He looks at Mashu who smiles at the situation. 'Children must really have a negative reaction when they meet Kieri for the first time He chuckles, looking at the Alter Ego,
Kieri doesn't need any message from his master to know what he's trying to say. "I see, well in any case," He looks at Harry, gently bowing to him. "Young master, l do hope your stay here will better our relationship. If you need anything, don't hesitate to ask." He offered.
Harry nodded, seeing that the former Apostle of the Alien God wasn't as scary as he thought. Just as he was about to say something until someone came.
"Well, well, good to see you again, director. I must say you are full of surprises." A blonde plump Man with a blonde mustache wearing something like a military uniform came walking in. "But in any case, I'm sorry you came here for this reason instead of a proper visit."
"Goldolf, I didn't expect you to show up here in Russia," Ritsuka said, happy to see his Supporter.
Mashu smiles at the former director of Chaldea. "It's like when we were in the Russian Lostbelt." She commented before seeing the pale face of the former director.
Goldolf groans, not wanting to remember what happened back then. "M-Mashu, please don't remind me of the Russian Lostbelt!" He pleads with the former Demi-Servant to not remind him of that time.
The blonde Magus heard little laughter behind the director of Chaldea. "Oh? Now what's this?" Goldolf looks down, seeing the young Boy standing behind him. "Oh, it's the Boy you and Mashu you Adopted." He cleared his throat, putting on a stoic face.
"Hello there, young one. I am Goldolf Musik, the Representative of Chaldea in the Mages Association." Goldolf introduced himself to the next Heir of Chaldea. "I used to be the director of Chaldea before I handed the position to your Father."
Harry blinks, surprised to see his Uncle look alike was the director of Chaldea before his Father. "Wow, so you're the previous director?" He asked, in awe of what he was hearing. "What's it like to be the director?"
Goldolf cleared his throat, seeing that the Boy-Who-Lived was curious about what it's like to be director of Chaldea. Not letting the opportunity to impress the Boy to escape, he gave a confident smirk. "Well, Mr. Fujimaru, I have to ensure that all Staff under me needs to live. Servant or Human otherwise, since you're going to take over one day know that it's a very tedious job, and not only that you have to have a quick mind, fearless heart and remain calm."
"Wow Goldolf, giving pointers to my Son even though you're a hypocrite when it comes to those two things," Ritsuka smirks at his Representative before receiving a glare from Goldolf.
Goldolf huffs, "Do be quiet Fujimaru, that was a stressful time for us!" The former director exclaims before moving the topic along. "In any case, now that you're here, director Fujimaru. We can get on with the hearing."
"Everything is ready, we're just waiting for you to arrive." Kadoc continued, noticing Harry looking at them with curiosity.
Goldolf then cleared his throat, looking at both Mashu and Ritsuka. "Director, if you would, do you mind leaving your Son here with Atalante Alter?" The Magus asked his fellow Magus. "I rather have him away for this part."
Ritsuka nodded, turning to his Son. "Harry, you'll follow Atalante Alter to a separate room. This part of the job is something you might not want to see." He gently said to him.
"Okay, Daddy-huh?" Harry paused before hearing mechanical parts moving behind them. Suddenly three Mechanical Dinosaurs appeared around them. "Woah! There's Dinosaurs here!?" He smiles, having a fondness for Dinosaurs like everyone around his Age. "And they're Robots too!"
The Triceratops cheerfully barks as the Futabasaurus uses some water to get around. Then an Archaeopteryx flew above him, cheerfully giving Harry some joy.
"Huh, it's been a while since I've seen these three," Mashu said, turning around to the Technical Advisor who was making her way over to them.
"I took them out knowing that the Russian Outpost is rather boring for Children and it's rather snowing hard outside to play." Da Vinci explains, planning for this type of situation. "I always bring these three with me anyways."
Ritsuka smiles, "I can always count on you to be a step ahead." The Magus said,
Harry giggles as the Futabasaurus nuzzles him. "Stop that!" He smiles, feeling Fou leave his hood. "Fou?"
"Fou, Fou." The Beast climbed on top of the Marine Reptile as it cheered. "Fou!"
Harry giggles at how Fou excitedly cheered before feeling Atalante Alter's hand on his shoulder. Looking up, he saw the Berserker smiling at him. "Harry, let's go to a more suitable room for you to play with your Dinosaur Friends."
"Okay, Ms. Atalante!" Harry cheerfully answered before waving his Parents goodbye.
Da Vinci rolled over with her skates, smiling at the two. "I'm going as well, it's been a while since I had these three on. I'll see you guys when you finish with your verdict."
Mashu nodded, "Take care of him, Da Vinci."
Ritsuka watches the Rider skate away. "Ritsuka," The Magus turns around, looking at Kadoc standing with Anastasia. "You're ready?" Kadoc asked the master of Chaldea.
The Magus turns to his entourage, "We're ready when you're ready Mr. Fujimaru," Holmes said, speaking for Koyanskaya and Moriarty.
"Let's go, everyone. I prefer to get this over with." Ritsuka said, walking to where the hearing will take place.
Everyone nodded, following the director to the room.
In the holding cells, Sirius opened his eyes seeing the door open. "Wizard, the master of Chaldea is here. Your and your Comrade's trial will begin now," A black-coated man with a silver bird mask informed the Criminal.
"Tch, so your Dark Lord has finally shown himself." Sirus scoffs, glaring at the Oprichnik coming closer to him. "Ngh!" He flinched, as the Noble Phantasm grabbed his arms.
"Hey, don't touch me!" Sirius shouted, being forcibly taken by the arm. "I can walk by myself!" He continued, being ignored by the Oprichnik.
The Oprichnik brought Sirius out of his holding cell, where he met Remus. "Remus," He greeted his Friend after being separated earlier.
"Sirius, these People, they aren't real People," Remus informed him once he saw his Friend. "They're unbelievably stronger than me. They don't have the scent of Human on them."
"Are telling me they aren't even Human? What the bloody hell is this place!?" Sirius asked, hearing footsteps in front of them. Turning around they saw a grey-haired Man wearing dark green and grey Hunting gear. In his hands was a black sniper rifle,
"These are Oprichniks, a special task force agents only available here in the Russian Outpost." William Tell informed the two Wizards, taking out a packet of cigarettes. "Care for a smoke before meeting our master?" He offered, being hospitable to them.
Sirius was surprised to see the first time since coming here, there was a Person here. "How come you're so hospitable to us?" He asked, wary of the Archer. "No, forget that! Where is my Son? That Priest said you have him locked up here!" He shouted,
"Sirius, don't make the situation more problematic than it already is!" Remus hissed at him, not wanting to do or say anything foolish.
William smiles, seeing they aren't smokers. "I take that as a no then," He puts away his pack into his pocket before answering them.
"Commander, is it wise to inform these interlopers of who we are?" The Oprichnik asked, being one-minded as always. "It's dangerous to tell them about master-"
"I swear, you guys are wary of everything." William Tell said before accommodating the Oprichniks' worries. "Fine, I'll wait until we meet with master."
Sirius's eyes widen, "Wait, just tell me where he is! If you do, I'll…I'll…" He shuts his eyes, all he wants is to see his Son. Even if Akari is dead and his Godson is missing, as long as Ritsuka is alive then he'll give up everything just to see him. "I'll…"
William Tell sighs, knowing that this Man is his master's Father. As a Father himself, he knows all too well what it's like to protect and see a Son. "Your Son is safe, I can vouch for that. If you want to see, then follow me."
"W-Wait, I thought there's a condition to let me see him-"
"Sirius, no! If we tell them about the Wizarding World, then they'll use it to attack it!" Remus exclaims, knowing these People are more powerful than any Wizarding group, even Voldemort's Death Eaters.
The Archer chuckles, turning to the Wizards. "My master won't attack unless it threatens Humanity or the World." William Tell informed the two there was nothing to worry about. "That's the type of Person he is,"
"W-What does that mean?" Remus asked, not expecting that a Person who has the powerful People and power to conquer the World would protect it. It's so rare to find these types of Wizards in this World.
"You just need to find out yourself," William Tell led their Prisoners down the Hall,
Sirius and Remus got a better view of the place they were being kept. It was nothing they expected, it was a large white hallway with many computers on the side.
There were Staff walking in and out of rooms, but they stopped once they saw them. Remus looks around, seeing that these Wizards aren't Wizards or Witches.
Their clothing was too Mugglish to be Wizards. The Men wore a black uniform where the center was a seafoam green with two diamonds on each shoulder overlapping one another. The Women wore something similar, but they had orange at the center and a white skirt with black leggings.
"(Wizards, what are they doing here?)" A Male Staff member asked his fellow Chaldean.
"(I heard that they came to the Japanese Outpost, director Akuta captured them going into a restricted area.)" A Female Staff answered her fellow Chaldean,
"(Whatever it is, they must be the reason why the director is here.)" Another Male Staff commented, watching William Tell guide them with the Oprichniks.
"(If the director was called in, that's why every Servant here has gathered in the Command room.)" Another Female Staff whispers back. "(I really do hope they don't do anything foolish.)"
"(Knowing their Kind, it's a possibility.)" Her Friend answered back.
Remus heard what these Muggles whispering about something a director and Servants. He leans over to Sirius, "Hey, Sirius, do you hear what those Muggles are talking about?" The Werewolf asked his Friend.
Sirius looks over to his Friend, "No, remember I don't have your super hearing, Mooney. But I do notice that they are Muggles," The Wizard said, looking at the Chaldean Staff, surprised to see them among Magical People. "Just what is this place?" He asked,
Soon, they arrived at a large door, slowly opening upon their arrival. "Word of advice don't badmouth my master. The other Servants under his Command are quite protective of him," William Tell informed the two before entering the Command room.
Remus turns to Sirius, his face serious as ever now they have an audience with the director everyone was talking about. "(Sirius don't do anything that might anger this director.)" He whispers, warning him not to cause trouble.
"If he doesn't start first, I'm going to find out once and for all where he's keeping my Son," Sirius said, ignoring his Friend's warning.
Entering the Command room, the two Wizards saw many strange-looking People around the room. There was a Man with grey hair in a grey stripe suit, a Woman with cat ears, white hair, and ice blue eyes wearing a winter cloak and holding a large metallic club, a dark armored Knight that resembled a Dragon, and a Man with Insect Wings and a dark cloak on the left.
There were more once they got in, a grey-skinned Man was floating with two golden arches floating behind him, and next to him was a Woman with silver hair and red eyes, wearing nothing but a silver cloth wrapping around her body with a white snake around her neck. Next to them was a feminine Man with long green hair and purple eyes, glaring at them.
In the center were the Priest, Kieri Kotomine, Koyanskaya, Holmes, Moriarty, Goldolf, Kadoc, Anastasia, and Mashu. Sitting at a chair was a Man, his face covered by the looming shadow behind him.
Looking up, both Remus and Sirius could only gape at what was in front of him. It was nothing like anything they'd seen before. The thing was a Monster itself, its skin was hard and blue like ice, and its mouth was jagged with two tusks around its head. It held a golden Staff and dawn a red cape and robes.
"W-What is that thing!?" Sirius gulps, ignoring the other Servants around the room. "I-It's like a Giant and Elephant combined!" He exclaims this place is weirder and more terrifying than they initially thought.
"I-I-I…" Remus couldn't speak, his Wolf instincts went haywire from a mere gaze. Nothing could describe this Monster standing behind the throne.
"I knew having Ivan here was a terrible idea Kotomine." Kadoc sighs, looking at the Alter Ego.
Kieri merely smiles before walking forward and addressing the room. "Wizards, I welcome you to the heart of the Russian Outpost. Sitting around you are Servants that'll act as witnesses to this hearing." The former Apostle informed the Wizards. "Presiding over this hearing is the master of Chaldea, its director, and the one who'll decide on your fate."
Sirius looks forward, seeing the Person they have high regard for. He couldn't see his face, but he could tell he had his legs crossed, his face resting on his face. "Tch, why not just kill them already." The Man and everyone else look over to the green-haired Man,
"They already know too much about our work, it's best to get rid of them." Kingu turns to his master, sharing his thoughts. "Isn't that right, Brother?"
"I agree…." Arjuna Alter spoke, agreeing with the Lancer. "Chaldea is a place nobody should know…only those who have the authority should live…." The Lostbelt King added, agreeing with Kingu.
Arturia Alter Lancer shook her head, disagreeing with the two. "No, our master is the one who decides on the fate of these Wizards. Not us, Berserker, Lancer." The Lancer said, looking at the two.
Oberon chuckles, crossing his arms. "Why? They have entered restricted grounds, they should be punished for that mistake." The Pretender looks at the two with disgust. "These are Wizards, stubborn bunch that clearly represents Arrogance at its finest." The Insect added.
"Let these trespass be judged thoroughly," Durga spoke, glaring at them. "Our propose here is to act as a witness for our master to pass judgment," The Archer added, sharing her opinion.
Nikitich shrugs, placing down her Axe. "If we're talking about fairness, shouldn't we let these Wizards speak first?" The Rider asked, "Director Hinako told us they entered restricted ground. At least let them explain why they entered."
Salieri nodded, agreeing with the Rider on that notion. "Rider has a point, master? What's your say?" The Avenger asked,
Ivan slams his Staff on the ground, causing the room to go silent. "Cease your speaking, everyone. Our master will speak now," The Lostbelt King informed the Servants.
Koyanskaya smiles, turning to her master. "What will it be, master? The decision is up to you," The Alter Ego said,
"Let them speak," Ritsuka said coldly, watching Sirius closely. "That one, Sirius Black. He's been staring at me for some time, I'll allow him to speak." The Magus said,
Sirius couldn't help but feel like he heard that voice somewhere. Walking forward, he began to speak. "We meant no harm when we visited Akari. I was surprised to hear that she was in the hospital, now she's dead because of you and your lackeys." The Wizard said something that angered the Servants.
"Why you good for nothing-" Kingu paused, seeing his Brother's hand raised.
"Oh? What makes you think that Akari Fujimaru's dead?" Ritsuka asked, raising his brow at the Wizard. "I remember that Hinako told you that she was well taken care of by Assassin," He said,
"Sirius, stop this, it's not helping!" Remus tried to calm his Friend down, however, that was futile.
Sirius steps forward, not realizing that Chaldean Soldiers have him in their sights. "Well taken care of? The hell is that supposed to mean!?" Sirius exclaims, raising his voice at the master. "You had her killed so you can take my Son for yourself! You and your Dark cult have taken the people I care about away from me-"
"Don't you dare speak about caring where you weren't there, Sirius Black!" Ritsuka shouted in an angry voice, a voice that everyone hadn't heard for a long time.
Koyanskaya merely giggled, liking this side of her master. "Now he's done it, master has blown a fuse." She commented.
"Eh? You're raising your voice on me!? Who do you think you are!" Sirius shouted, getting into a heated argument with this Person. "You have no right to take them away, especially my Son-"
"Your Son!? YOUR SON!?" Ritsuka raised his voice loudly, "Your Son has worked tirelessly to pay off his Mother's Hospital Bills, he had to leave School just to take care of her, fight countless Demon Gods just to get her and the World back, destroy countless Lostbelts and prove my innocents to the World for fucking years just to restore the Home I love! Even if it means to see you, which I don't!"
"So don't talk to me like you have the right to call me your Son." Ritsuka glared at him, letting out all the hurt and frustration he's been keeping. "In fact, you don't have the right to be a Father anymore after you left and come back without saying a word." He growls,
Every Servant remained silent; they knew better this was something they should be intervening but can't. "Brother," Kingu said, looking at him.
"R-Ritsuka…" Mashu said to herself, looking at her Husband, thankful that their Son wasn't here for this.
Sirius growls, not getting the hint Ritsuka was giving. "How the hell do you know about that? Did you cause this to Akari?" He asked, "Show your face, you coward!"
Ritsuka gave a scoff before bursting into laughter. The complexed Sirius, unsure what he was laughing, however, one thing stuck. "So it was you who did this to Akari-"
"No, you idiot! I wasn't the cause of Okāsan's Alzheimer's, that came naturally like water from the Ocean! I was the one who took care of her," Ritsuka shouted, stepping into the light. "Because she's my Okasan."
Sirius saw the Man stepping into the light, his face resembled Akari. His eyes, his cheeks, his hair, just like hers. "Just like what you told me, take care of your Mother, right Otosan?" He was in disbelief, this Man was no doubt his Son,
"R-R-Ritsuka…is that…you?" Sirius asked, not expecting a Man around Twenty or so where he expected to see his Sixteen-year-old Son.
"Heh, yeah Otosan, it's me." Ritsuka glared at him before turning around. "Take them back to the Cells, I have enough for today. Koyanskaya, reschedule everything until this hearing is done."
"Right, Fujimaru," Koyanskaya replied before hearing Sirius Black calling out to him.
"W-Wait, Ritsuka! Let me explain, please!" The Chaldean Soldiers grab onto Sirius and Remus, heading them over to the Oprichniks. "No, let me go! Ritsuka! Ritsuka!" His voice echoes, calling out to his Son as the Oprichniks drag him back to his Cell.
