Chapter 10: Attack on the USJ!
On the water fountain formed a black-purple vortex.
Out of it looked someone who had a severed hand on his face.
What the...?!
"Gather together and don't move!", commanded Aizawa-Sensei. "Thirteen, protect the students!"
Out of the vortex stepped the strange guy with the hand on his face and a lot of other people.
Kirishima wondered if this was like the entrance exam.
Aizawa-sensei disagreed: "Those are villains."
All the young heroes-to-be gasped in shock.
Oh no, what would happen now?!
"Thirteen... and Eraser Head, huh?", said the black purple vortex. A shadow head with long yellow eyes formed. "The teacher's schedule we received the other day said that All Might was also supposed to be here."
"The trespassing the other day was the work of these scumbags after all, huh?", though Aizawa-Sensei aloud.
The creepy guy with served hands all over told in a shocking calm voice, how disappointed he was that All Might was nowhere when he brought so many friends and he wondered if he killed the students if All Might would come.
All the young heroes-to-be gasped in fright, while Thirteen stood protective before them and Aizawa-Sensei got ready to battle.
Michi felt a deep sense of foreboding and fear.
So this was what the Pro-Heroes and one day she, Izuku and all the others would have to fight.
Pure incarnated evil!
"What? Villains? No way!", gasped Kirishiman in disbelief. "There's no way they could get into a hero school!"
"Well if we are not all mass-hallucinating you better believe it.", joked Michi because of her nerves.
Izuku took her hand and squeezed it tight.
Thankful for the little comfort she squeezed back.
"Sensei, what about the trespasser sensors?", asked Momo Thirteen.
Good question!
"We have them, of course, but..."
"Did they only appear here, or around the whole school?.", finished Shoto the sentences. "Either way, if the sensors are not responding that means they have someone with a Quirk that can do that. An isolated area separated from the main campus during a time when a class is supposed to be here. They might be fools, but they're not dumb. This surprise attack was carefully planned with some sort of goal in mind."
All got more frightened hearing this.
However, Michi had to add something: "I heard how the creepy dude with all served hands over his body said something about All Might. Could he be their target, their goal?"
"Possible, but why?", agreed Shoto.
Aizawa-Sensei asked Thirteen to start to evacuate the class and call the school.
If the villains could fool the sensors, there had to be one with a Quirk who could do this.
Then he asked Denki to try with his Quirk to contact the school too.
"Yessir."
"What about you, sir?", shouted Izuku worried. "Will you fight by yourself? With that many, even if you can erase their Quirks...Eraser Head's fighting style is capturing after erasing the enemy's Quirk. A frontal battle is..."
Calmly their teacher told them how a hero needed one more trick up his sleeve, with a last plaid to Thirteen to protect the class, he jumped into the fray of villains.
It was incredible!
Aizawa-Sensei used his scarf to bond and the same time erased the Quirks of the villains.
He was fast and agile.
Thanks to his glasses no villain knew who's Quirk he erased at the moment so the teamwork was practically null.
In awe, Izuku looked on.
"Wow, Aizawa-Sensei is actually good at fighting by himself against a lot of people, huh?"
"Izu-Chan no time for analysing.", reminds Michi, dragging him by the hand to their fleeing classmates. "We need to get out of here!"
"O-Of course!"
They were nearly at the exit as the shadow guy appeared before them.
"I won't let you. Nice to meet you. We are the League of Villains. It may be presumptuous of us but we have invited ourselves into the home of the heroes, U.A. High School in order to have All Might, the Symbol of Peace, take his last breath."
"I freaking know it!", whisper-shouted Michi.
Still, it didn't make her feel good about being right.
Shadow-Figure wondered if there was some kind of change since All Might wasn't with them, however at this moment Kirishima and Bakugo attacked him!
After the big explosion created by Bakugo, Kirishima told cool: "Did you consider that you'd get beaten by us before you did it?!"
"Oh dear, that's dangerous.", mussed the shadow villain and reformed. Looks like Bakugo and Kirishima didn't even make a scratch. "That's right. Even if you are students, you are excellent golden eggs."
"This is bad!", shouted Thirteen, getting his Quirk ready. "Move away, you two!"
"My job is to scatter you all and torture you to death!"
With these words, Purple Shadow Guy expanded over the class and Thirteen.
It felt like they were in a tornado!
Suddenly Michi felt how someone grabbed her.
It was Tenya with Ochaco in his other arm.
The three stared in disbelief and fear for their classmates at the purpled dome.
"Izuku! Izuku is still there!", shouted Michi and wanted to run back in, however, Tenya and Ochaco held her by the arms.
"No it's way too dangerous!", reminded Tenya.
"Please Michi-Chan stay with us!", begged Ochaco.
"I know all in your screams to save the boy.", said also Ares. "But you wouldn't even find him in this dense fog. Stay with your other friends."
Tears sprung in Michi's eyes and she shouted: "Damn it!"
Ochaco hugged her in comfort, and Michi laid her head on her friend's shoulder.
The Shadow Villain turned back into his shadow form and nearly everyone was gone.
Besides Michi, Tenya and Ochaco, Thirteen, Mina, Sero and Shoji were still at the entrance.
There was only one way out of this situation and hopefully, find the others.
Fight!
So Thirteen stood before Shadow-Villain, while Shoji, Tenya, Michi and Sero got ready to fight with the Pro-Hero.
Mina and Ochaco stayed behind them all.
"Shouji! Is everyone here? Can you check?", asked Tenya the boy with the many tentacle-like limbs.
"Everyone's scattered, but they're all in this building."
All breathed a sigh of relief.
At least something!
"Damn it, physical attacks can't hit him, and he can warp things. His Quirk's the worst!", grumbled Sero.
Thirteen seemed to think for a second before he told Tenya, their class rep, to get out of the building and get the other Pro-Heroes since this would be faster than searching for the person who interfered with the sensory and smartphones.
"But it would be a disgrace as a class rep to leave everyone behind—"
"Iida Tenya, go!", shouted Mich and got into her preferred Kung-Fu stance, Ares got ready to boost her body. "Think, the villains are only here inside, this means the alarms outside still work."
Sero stepped beside her, getting ready to fight too.
"As long as you go outside, they won't follow you! Blow away this fog with your legs!"
"Use your Quirk in order to save others!", added Thirteen.
"I can totally support you like I did in the cafeteria!", said Ochaco with Mina nodding along. "I will! Please, class rep!"
Finally, Tenya got himself ready to run out of the building.
Shadow Villain mocked them for how stupid they were to talk about their plan before him, as Thirteen told him it didn't matter if he heard or not.
Thirteen then started to use his Quirk Black Hole to suck Shadow Villain into his body.
"Black Hole, which sucks up everything and turns it all to dust. I see. That is an astounding Quirk.", mussed Shadow Villain, like the Quirk of Thirteen did nothing to him. "However, Thirteen, you are a hero who works to rescue people from disasters. As expected your battle experience is less than half of that of a normal hero!"
He lets a Warp Gate appear behind Thirteen, which sucks now Thirteen in and ribs open his back.
Thirteen falls on the ground, defeated.
Michi and the others can just look on in shock.
What should they do?!
"Tenya, come on, run!", shouts Michi. "This is your chance!"
Finally, Tenya runs, but of course, Shadow Villain doesn't won't that he calls the other Pro-Heroes for help.
So he makes a Warp Gate appear before Tenya. Coming to his help is Shoji, embracing the Warp Gate and begging Tenya to go!
Of course, Shadow Villain won't let this happen and tries to catch Tenya, however, Ochaco noted the metal-like necklace he wore.
So she grapes it and makes him float.
"I don't know the theory behind it, but if he's wearing something like this then it must mean he has a physical body!", shouts Ochaco and throws Shadow Villain into the air. "Go, Tenya!"
Finally, Tenya reaches the door and tries to open it.
Shadow Villain comes after him again, and now Sero catches him with his tape on the necklace.
Michi grabs the tape and turns herself fast round and round, then lets the villain fly so high, that he smashes against the dome of the USJ and even creaks the glass.
"Go Tenya!"
Their class rep manages to get out and hopefully will return soon with help.
The Shadow Villain was thanks to this enormous smack against the dome, confused as hell but still, he thought about how now was all over.
Michi nodded to herself, this would teach this shadow asshole before she turned to the others.
While Mina and Ochaco looked after Thirteen, she discussed with Shoji and Sero what they should do.
Should they risk going to find their classmates or stay where they were?
Then out of nowhere, the Entrance Door got destroyed and All Might stepped into the USJ!
Michi and Ares could practically feel how full of hope their classmates became, they were also happy to see All Might, no question, yet they thought: "How much time has he left and will it be enough to drive away the villains?"
"I had a bad feeling so I tore myself away from my chat with the principal and came. I passed Young Iida on my way and got a rough idea of what had happened. It's fine now. I am here!", yelled All Might with an angry scowl, throwing his suit jacket away and then ripped his tie.
Severed Hand Guy got all excited about how All Might was here, while his lackeies got scared.
Faster than anyone could see All Might jumped down to the Plaza and defeated a handful of villains in a second.
It was incredible!
He even managed to grab poor Aizawa-Sensei, who had been beaten by this thing-person called Nomu.
Then he grabbed Izuku, Tsuyu and Mineta and told them to take care of Aizawa and to go to the entrance.
Izuku tried to warn him how Nomu took one of his hits like nothing, but All Might reassured him it would be fine.
Sadly as All Might started to fight against Nomu, he realized how Young Midoriya was right.
This thing with his brain in the open could take anything he gave!
Worried Michi and Ares looked on, as the others celebrated All Might power.
Every day on their way to school with Izuku, they read together the hero news in real-time.
When Aizawa-Sensi and Thirteen were talking about how All Might wasn't here at USJ the three fingers Thirteen put up secretly were probably because All Might was at his limit!
It must have been because he'd used too much of his power!
And right now the only people who know this are her, Ares and Izuku.
Could she really just stand there and not help All Might?
All Might who had become practically family to her?
As the dust lifted from All Might's suplex on Nomu, all saw how the Shadow Villain helped Nomu to not get hurt and how Nomu was gripping All Might's left side.
The side that was hurt 5 years ago!
His weak spot!
Then the Shadow Villain started to suck in All Might in his Warp Gate!
"Oh fuck it!", shouted Michi.
She couldn't not, not do anything!
So she runs down the stairs, ignoring the shouts of her classmates to come back.
I have to...I have to help him...Somehow!
"Ares, get ready, this will be hard for sure!"
"Michi, don't. If I suck too much blood from you to make you stronger you-"
"I know, but I can't just stay around and not do anything!"
Her supersuit stayed still as she ran over the Plaza to reach All Might.
She saw how Izuku came from the other side, he was faster than her and reached All Might first.
Then the Shadow Villain appeared before him and would have sucked him in if not for the exact moment, Michi punched and Bakugo let an explosion go off on his necklace.
"Move, you're in the way, Deku!", shouted Bakugo.
Together with Bakugo Michi smashed the shadow villain on the ground holding him by his necklace.
Izuku stared at them in wonder.
Then ice appeared, freezing the left side of Nomu.
Shoto!
"All I heard was that you all are here to kill All Might.", said Shoto as cool as the ice he controlled.
Finally, All Might broke away from Nomu's grab and jumped beside Shoto.
Meanwhile, Kirishima tried to attack Serverd-Hands-Dude, but he jumped away without problems.
"Damn it! I didn't get to show off!", lamented the redhead.
"Stop acting so stuck-up, foggy nobody!", told Bakugo the Shadow Villain.
"I will make you fly again against the dome if you move on of your non-existent muscle!", growled Michi.
"The Symbol of Peace cannot be killed by the likes of you.", told Shoto.
Izukue wiped away his tears, glad to see his strong best friend and classmates on his and All Might's side.
They all looked at Hand-Face.
"Kurogiri.", that was the name of the Shadow? "Our exit and entrance have been overcome. We're in a pinch."
Preening Bakugo explained how he figured out that the Necklace of Kurogiri was his actual body and if you could hold it, he was down.
"Stop being so arrogant.", chested Michi. "Ochaco-Chan found this out before you!"
Mature as he was he stuck out his tongue to her.
Michi copied him.
Both never let go of Kurogiri.
Kurogiri tried to move, but Bakugo let out a mini explosion and Michi pushed him down harder on the ground.
"I wouldn't do anything if I was you.", explained Michi with a grin. "Either the bastard explodes you into another dimension or I will break your necklace! Let's see how long you can go without it!"
"Damn Massaro, didn't know you had it in you."
"Oh shut up!"
"You are both not really very hero-like right now...", mussed Kirishima.
Severed Hand Face strangely cutely gripped his own hands and lamented how neither of the kids was captured or hurt and how amazing kids these days were, making the League of Villains look like fools.
Then he called for Nomu.
The beast got sucked into the still-existing Warp Gate. He got out of the other side and his freeze parts fell off.
However, it was not a problem for this monster since he just regrew his limps!
His master, Severed Hand Face, told them how Nomu had more than one Quirk and how they would now get the entrance and exit back.
All got ready to fight.
But Nomu was so fast, that Bakugo and Michi were paralyzed.
They couldn't move away!
Thankful All Might threw himself before the kids.
The shockwave was so big that Michi and the guys all flowed away.
"Michi-Kun, Kacchan?! Y-You dodged? That's amazing!", praised Izuku.
Before Bakugo could insult her love, Michi answered faster: "No Izu-Chan, neither I nor Bakugo saw anything, this Nomu thing was too fast!"
"Then how...?", wonder Kirishima.
"Then that was...", began Shoto.
"All Might!", enden Izuku.
The number one hero didn't look very good.
Oh, he was standing, but he coughed and Michi saw blood from his mouth flowing down.
"Do you not know how to hold back?", growled All Might.
"It was to rescue my companions. I had no choice. I mean, earlier, that plain-looking one. He was about to punch me with everything he had, you know.", began the hand face, while Michi griped Izuku's not wounded hand. She needed to reassure herself that he was mostly fine. "Violence for the sake of others makes it admirable. Isn't that right, hero? You know what, All Might? I'm angry. I'm angry at this world that categorizes the same violent acts as heroic or villainous deciding what's good and what's bad! What with this "Symbol of Peace"? Ha. You're just a device to repress violence. Violence only breeds violence. The world will know this, once we kill you!"
"That guy is nuts.", whisper-shouted Ares to Michi and the boys. "This doesn't make any sense."
All Might agreed with Ares: "That's preposterous. The eyes of white-collar criminals like you burn silently. You just want to enjoy this yourself, don't you, you liar?!"
"It's three against six.", reminds Shoto his classmates.
Izuku nodded.
"Kacchan already exposed the fog's weakness!"
"These guys are crazy but if we backup All Might we can push them back!", agreed Kirishima.
"No! Run away.", command All Might.
Michi and the boy stared at him.
"You would have been in trouble if I hadn't done anything earlier, right?"
"That was a different story, young Todoroki. Thanks. But it's fine! Just watch as a Pro gives it everything he's got."
Izuku disagreed while Michi nodded along: "All Might, you're bleeding! Besides, time's—!"
The boy stopped himself before he said more.
All Might gave them a thumbs up to reassure them before he faced their enemies.
Hand Face told Nomu and Kurogiri to take care of All Might, while he would take the kids.
The boys and Michi got ready for anything, as Hand Face ran towards them.
Suddenly the air vibrated so violet, that all, besides Nomu and All Might, stood still.
The Symbol of Peace and the Monster engaged in a fierce fistfight.
So brutal was their fight, that all got thrown away because of the formed currents.
The kids looked on in awe, as with one final devastating punch All Might let Nomu fly out of the USJ till he was only a little twinkle in the sky.
"Is this some comic book?", wondered Kirishima. "It's like he nullified the shock absorption. His brute strength is crazy."
"What insane power...Does this mean he rushed at him so fast he couldn't regenerate?", guessed Bakugo.
Worried for All Might, Michi and Izuku turned to him.
The dust lifted from where he stood as he said: "I really have gotten weaker. In my prime... five hits would have been enough. But it took more than 300 hits ."
Relieved that he was okay, Michi and Izuku let out signs.
Then All Might turned back to Kurogiri and Hand-Face, provocating them.
Izuku and Michi saw how he must be bluffing. He was shaking, bloody and steam was coming out of his body.
Would the bluff be enough to let the villains leave?
They ignored how Kirishima called for them to go, to let All Might handle this before they became hostages.
But...!
However, Kurogiri, the stupid fog, was smarter than they thought. He told Hand-Face, whose name was Shigaraki Tomura, how All Might was defiantly on his limits, then the kids still were standing and some of the villains were wakening up.
Maybe the Pro-Heroes would appear soon, but if him and Shigaraki fought together they could take All Might.
Shigaraki actually calmed down and agreed.
Damn it!
Beside Michi and Izuku, who couldn't stop looking at All Might, the other boys noted how the lackey villains came towards them.
"All Might will do something about the main bad guys.", said Kirishima sure, activating his Quirk. "Let's go help the others!"
"Midoriya? Massaro?", called Shoto for them.
Kurogiro and Shigaraki run up to All Might, and at the same moment, Michi and Izuku run to be between them and All Might.
They got ready to punch Kurogiro out of the way, but then the hand of Shigaraki appeared.
The hand who could destroy anything!
Oh no!
Suddenly a gunshot was heard and a bullet struck Shigaraki's hand.
It bleed and he took it away.
Both Michi and Izuku fall down on the ground, not destroyed.
Finally!
The other teachers, the other Pro-Heroes have arrived!
And so like the cowards they were Shigaraki and Kurogiri vanished.
Michi stood up and picked the hurt Izuku carefully up bridal style.
Her best friend/crush let out a tiny moan of hurt.
"One For All did again a number on you!", she lamented. "But at least you are okay! I thought the Shigaraki guy got you!"
She kissed his forehead.
If Izuku had any force left he would blush, but he hurt everywhere and could only try to not faint from the pain of his broken bones.
"I wasn't able...to do anything...!", Izuku cried.
Before Michi could disagree, All Might said first: "That's not true. If it weren't for those few seconds you and Young Massaro bought me, I would have been killed. You kids saved me."
"All might...", said Michi and Izuku together, glad their teacher was somehow okay.
Izuku cried how he was so glad that All Might was okay while Michi sniffled a bit.
"Midoriya! Massaro!", called Kirhsima for them running. "Are you all right?"
Since Michi knew All Might was about to transform back into his anorexia form she ran up, as gently as possible, to Kirishima.
Izuku hissed a bit, but he could manage.
"Man, Midoriya, your arm and legs are broken! Massaro, how are you? Can you carry him? Do you need help?"
Michi snorted: "I'm really, really strong in my Ares suit don't worry, Izuku is like a feather to me right now."
Behind them, a wall formed, made by the Pro-Hero Cementoss, to hide All Might, as he told the kids to go to the front gate.
So Kirishima ran up to Shoto and Bakugo to tell them this.
Michi and Izuku signed relief.
"Man, what a day!", signed Ares. "Let's hope something like this never happens again!"
All Might and Izuku were brought to Recovery Girl, while Michi stood with her classmates outside USJ, as the police officer counted if all the teenagers were there.
She rather would be by Izuku, but she needed to be patient.
Aoyama desperately wanted to tell them where he had been, but Michi just shoved him away, before Tsuyu entertained him.
The French then said it was a secret.
Well, thank you.
The police officer told them to return to their classroom, they would later ask for their testimonies.
Of course, they wanted to know how their sensei and Thirteen were and the police officer told them how Aizawa-Sensei had comminuted fractures in both arms and a facial fracture. Fortunately, there does not seem to be any serious brain damage. However, his orbital floor had broken into small pieces and his eyes may suffer from its aftereffects.
Thirteen had lacerations from the back to the upper arm that were bad, but his life was not in danger.
All Might will also survive.
"How is Izuku? Midoriya Izuku !", demanden Michi to know.
"Yes, how is Deku?", added Ochaco as Tenya nodded along.
He would be in good hands by Recovery Girl and now they really needed to go to their class.
So all the teens let out an agreeing yes.
As they arrived finally in school and made their way to their classroom all teenagers were thinking about today and what it meant for them.
Michi got slower and slower till she stopped, all passing her.
She looked at the setting sun.
"What's on your mind, whirlwind.", asked Ares.
"Today, changed anything.", she said quietly. It was like this had been only a taste of what would come. "We need to get stronger."
"Together we will be. And with Izuku and our new friends.", promised Ares.
Softly smiling Michi stroked one of Ares's eyes.
Then she looked back at the sun.
Whatever may come...god give me the strength to protect the people I love and the people who need me!
A beautiful full moon was shining down on them as Michi was leaning on a pillar, with Ochaco's head on her shoulder, while Tenya had his arms crossed.
They waited for Izuku to get out of the nurse's office.
Finally, Izuku came out of school!
"Izu-Chan!"
"Hey Deku!"
Fast Michi ran over to her best friend and they both hugged each other tight under the smiling faces of Ochaco and Tenya.
After all made sure all were okay they walked home together.
No one of us knew that this attack on the USJ was just the beginning of something much bigger and terrible. Don't forget this is the story of how Izuku and I became the greatest heroes of all time! And it wasn't a walk in the park!
