It was morning once more in Pallet Town, as we see Amari laying down in his hospital bed, both Mew and Tera, his Eevee, sleeping peacefully beside him.
He slowly and groggily opened his eyes, sitting up slowly to not wake up the two resting Pokémon below him.
"Jeez, morning already...?" He whispered, rubbing his eyes as he looked at the time of his phone.
Then he saw a text—two, actually.
One from Ash, and another from Delilah, his stepmother.
His eyes widened in slight panic.
'Shit...I did say I was going to come back yesterday...they're probably worried sick!' He said to himself in his head.
He quickly opened up his phone and looked to see what the messages were.
'Are you okay, Amari? Mom's worried sick for you; it's been hours since you left...'
His heart dropped as he went to see what Delilah texted him.
'If you see this, please, PLEASE say something. You've been out for hours now and haven't came back yet...'
He sighed deeply, turning off his phone.
"Great fucking going, Amari..." He said to himself.
'Language.' A female voice spoke in his head, spooking the boy.
"O-Oh, Mew...how long have you been awake...?" Amari asked, his body trembling as he recovered from being scared.
'I just woke up, actually...' Mew responded. 'What's the frustration about?'
"Oh, uhm...Ash and Delilah had texted me yesterday, but I forgot to respond..." Amari said. "I'm sure they're worried sick for me..." He continued, frowning slightly.
Mew's telekinesis pulled the boy's phone from his hand and placed it back onto the table.
'Yes, well I'm sure anyone would be if their newest relative who already has a dangerous background didn't respond to their texts when they asked how they were doing.' Mew said. 'That being said, you were in a literal fistfight, then you had to be hospitalized; you couldn't text at all then, and you probably didn't want to after being overwhelmed by everything that happened yesterday...' She explained.
"Y-Yeah..." Amari said, frowning slightly more as he recalled yesterday's events. "At least you were there before I was...y'know..."
'Killed? Yeah, me too...those kids should know better than to hurt others; It makes me wonder how you even dealt with them back then...' Mew said.
"I didn't know how to fight back then, for starters...obviously wasn't able to learn, either..." Amari said. "After they hurt Tera, I just suddenly got angry, and, well..."
'You socked that scumbag clean in the face?' Mew said, raising an eyebrow.
"I guess you could say it like that..." Amari said, sweat-dropping.
Now that he thought about it, what exactly was that?
He never knew how to fight, and his strength definitely wasn't anything near average.
It was like something or someone made him snap, and lash out in rage.
'It's called having a temper, you know.' Mew said.
"Even then, Trey and Nessie are much more stronger than me, something like pure anger isn't going to let me beat them that easily..." Amari said.
'Amari, you're more strong than you give yourself credit for.' Mew said, looking at the boy directly.
Amari blushed at the compliment.
"T-Thanks, Mew..." He said, rubbing the back of his head.
Sadly, their conversation was cut short once the Nurse Joy from earlier walked into the room.
Mew quickly cloaked herself while Tera jumped up awake, startled by the sudden interruption.
"Apologies for waking you up, but you have some...peculiar guests here to visit you." The Nurse Joy said.
Two people had then entered to room, a Meowth behind them.
They both wore coats, each their own respective colors.
A male, 5'8 inches tall, shoulder-length periwinkle lavender hair with a single fringe sprouting from the center, and green eyes.
A female, 5'7 inches tall, with magenta long hair that she wears curled in a comet-tail behind her head, and a pair of large green orb earrings on both of her ears.
And below the two, a regular-looking Meowth was seen.
Well, he had sunglasses on, but-
"Why, hello there, sonny! It's nice to see you in great condition!" The male figure spoke up, making Amari and his Eevee flinch.
"Uhm...who are you, exactly...?" Amari asked. "I don't think I know either of you..." He said.
"Or course you do, I'm your...uhm...uh..." The male stammered, struggling to come up for an answer.
"Well, what matters is that you're okay. We'll be taking you out of here now!" The female spoke up, trying to dodge the question.
Well, now he was definitely suspicious.
"I don't think I want to go with...whoever you two are..." Amari said, backing away from the two.
"Hm, guess he's onto us..." The male said, looking at both the female and the Meowth.
"Guess we have no choice but to reveal ourselves, then..." The female said.
The three nodded, before smirking and quickly ripping off their disguises.
Amari's eyes widened as he saw who it was.
Two white suits with a big, red 'R' symbol in the middle...
...Team Rocket.
"Prepare for trouble!"
"And make it double!"
"To protect the world from devastation!"
"To unite all peoples within our nation!"
"To denounce the evils of truth and love!"
"To extend our reach to the stars above!"
"Jessie!" The female posed.
"James!" The male exclaimed, joining the female.
"Team Rocket blasts off at the speed of light!"
"Surrender now, or prepare to fight!"
"Meowth, that's right!" The Meowth finished the motto, before posing himself.
Amari sweated slightly, panic now fully settling inside of his body.
'Mew...what do I do here...? Can't you do anything...?' Amari asked inside of his head.
'I can't...it's personal with these three...sorry...' Mew said.
Amari's eyes widened.
'Wait, you know these two-' Amari tried to asked, before feeling a hand reach for his arm, pulling him hard.
"AGH-!" Amari grunted in pain, his bandaged body still not fully recovered.
"Stop resisting and come with us, you brat-!" The female adult grunted, which scared Amari even further.
"N-No! Let go of me!" Amari screamed, as he tried to then scream for help, until his mouth was covered by a paw.
"Ah, Ah, Ah! Can't have you screaming now, can we?" The Meowth replied, as he unsheathed his claws, seemingly threatening the boy to try and call for help.
Amari shook in fear, not knowing what else to do.
Fortunately for him, he and the others forgot about his Eevee.
A very pissed off one, at that.
"Eevee..." It grumbled, getting the three's attention.
"H-Hey now, easy..." The Meowth said softly, now afraid of the Pokémon.
It quickly jumped at him and bit down on his head, causing him to yelp in pain.
"AH, GET IT OFF ME, GET IT OFF!" The Meowth said, screaming and flailing its arms around in panic.
The other two adults tried to help Meowth, which in turn gave Amari enough time to press the security button next to his bed.
A loud buzzing noise echoed in the room, before a Nurse Joy quickly busted into the room.
"What's going on here?!" She exclaimed, looking around to eventually see the two adults and Meowth(who still had an Eevee on his head),trying to get Amari out of the bed.
Her eyes narrowed as she put up a walkie-talkie to her mouth.
"This is Nurse Joy from Pallet Town's Pokémon Center speaking—we have a Code R. Requesting for authorities to arrive." She said.
"This is Officer Jenny, I'll be on my way a minute. I suggest you give them a head-start, though they probably won't need it." A female voice spoke on the other side of the walkie-talkie.
The Nurse Joy looked back towards the now-frightened Rockets.
"You heard her. Get to stepping." She said.
Didn't have to tell them twice.
The three quickly fled the scene, seemingly "blasting off", as Ash would put it.
The Nurse Joy quickly ran up to Amari, checking his body for injuries.
"Does anything hurt? They didn't do anything to you, did they?" She asked him.
"They only pulled on my arm, but it doesn't hurt too badly...it's probably more bruised, though..." Amari said.
The Nurse Joy sighed in relief.
"That's a relief." She said. "I'll go ahead and get the First-Aid kit, just wait here, okay?" She asked.
"Mhm." Amari said.
As soon as the Nurse Joy left Mew uncloaked herself.
'Amari, you're shaking really badly...' She said.
"It's fine...I'm just a little shaken...nothing I can't deal with." Amari said.
Mew cloaked once again as the Nurse Joy returned with a First-Aid kit in her hands, quickly setting it down onto the bed and opening it up to begin treating Amari.
"I'm gonna need you to hold still, this might sting a little." She said, spraying a potion on a cloth before applying it to Amari's bruised arm.
He hissed loudly in pain as his arm ached.
"I know, I know..." The Nurse Joy said. "Hold still." She said, as she then wrapped the boys arm in new bandages.
"Is that better?" She asked.
"Y-Yeah, thanks..." Amari said.
The Nurse Joy gave a smile, before turning towards the door and leaving the room.
"Eevee?" Tera chirped, looking at Amari as his eyes widened.
"O-Oh, hi, Tera...forgot you were here..." Amari said. "Thanks for the help, girl..." He continued, petting the Eevee head, which earned him a few purrs.
"Eevee!" Tera exclaimed, a proud expression on her face.
Mew reappeared once again.
'Sorry for not helping, Amari...' She said.
"You're fine, Mew; though, I would like to know more on why you can't deal with Team Rocket in the future..." Amari responded.
'I...I'm going to need some time to think about it.' Mew said.
"That's fine..." Amari said.
Something then came back on his mind.
Amari quickly opened his phone and texted his Delilah and Ash.
'Hey, I'm doing fine; Got into a bit of ruckus on my way to Oak's, and I'm currently being discharged from the Pokémon Center soon. I'll be back as soon as I can.'
He turned off his phone, sighing.
"It's just one thing after another...why did they want something with me, anyway...?" He asked.
'Team Rocket usually tries to steal Pokémon from people, and use them to their advantage.' Mew said. 'They must've noticed your Eevee and wanted to get their hands on it.' She explained.
"So why did they grab me too? I have nothing of worth to them, at least in my current state..." Amari asked.
'I can't answer that, to be honest...maybe they didn't want you trying to call for help or anything?' Mew asked.
"I guess that makes sense..." Amari said, petting Tera once more.
Later, at Oak's Laboratory...
"So let me get this straight: three members of Team Rocket tried to kidnap you and your Eevee?" Oak asked.
"Y-Yeah, it was odd, and a little scary..." Amari said.
"And you say it was a female with scarlet hair, a male with lavender hair, and a Meowth?" Oak asked.
"Yeah...do you know them...?" Amari asked.
Oak sweat-dropped with a loud sigh.
"Yeah, they're the same three that keep bothering Ash." He said.
Amari's eyes widened.
"I-I see...do they ever not do that?" He asked.
"Unfortunately, no...but, they do at least not try bother him near his home, usually only when he's doing other things outside of it." Oak answered.
"I see..." Amari said.
'It still doesn't make sense on what it has to do with me, though...' He thought to himself. 'Maybe it's because I'm a part of his family now...?'
"Amari, I'm finished with your Eevee." Oak said, getting the boy's attention.
Amari's eyes widened.
"O-Oh, sorry..." Amari said, rubbing the back of his head.
"She's all healthy; just make sure she gets exercise, all Pokémon need some form of entertainment, you know." Oak said.
Tera climbed onto Amari's shoulder, rubbing her head against her owner.
"I will; Thanks, Oak." Amari said, petting his Eevee.
"The pleasure is all mine, my boy." Oak said. "Be safe out there!" He yelled.
"I will!" Amari responded, as he left the laboratory, making his way back home.
Amari meets the three troublemakers.

GOD, this chapter took too long to make.
Once again, late in the night and I'm writing for ya'll.
Thank god I enjoy writing...
Next chapter is currently being worked on, but it's gonna take a little bit longer while I try to take a break.
And by break, I mean work on Legendary Reincarnation, yay...
On a serious note, chapter five of that story is close to being finished.
