Chapter 3

Harry held on to Rodolphus and helped him back to their room to rest for the night. When they reached their room, Rodolphus was starting to fall asleep standing. Harry led him to the bed to sleep. Rodolphus sat down and lay, cuddling up to Harry.

The next morning, when Harry woke for breakfast, he shook Rodolphus to wake him. With a blink, Rodolphus shifted, becoming awake, sitting up and taking his anti-nausea potion to help him through the day, as well as his nutrition potion.

They got up, doing their morning routine, heading to breakfast. Walking together hand in hand made the Death Eaters they saw on their way shift to the side, giving them respect.

They walked into the dining room with everyone staring. Rodolphus growled, "Didn't you learn last night? Use words, not faces, geez."

Tom turned around to laugh. "Rodolphus, they will never learn. I warned them."

Rodolphus huffed. "Harry, dear, can I have my wand, please?" he grinned.

Harry looked at him. "Is that a good idea?"

Rodolphus pouted. "Please? I won't hurt them, I promise."

Harry sighed and handed it over.

Rodolphus sent stinging hexes at the ones who were staring. Satisfied, he handed it back over with a grin.

Harry chuckled. "Feel better, love?"

Rodolphus said, "I do. They are getting on my nerves with the looks."

Harry nodded. "Okay, my love, sit down." They sat down together.

Tom asked, "How do you feel after last night? You had us worried."

Rodolphus replied, "Better, actually. I got some sleep."

"Sev, can you make us a month of anti-nausea potions?" Harry asked.

Severus nodded. "I can do that, no problem. Does he need the nutrition potions stocked again as well?"

Harry confirmed, "He does. Thanks, Sev."

Rodolphus looked at his plate of crackers and peanut butter. He nibbled on it, actually liking it and finding it didn't make him feel sick. When no one was noticing, more crackers kept appearing until he was full, feeling content and needing to thank the elves.

An old house elf popped In frantically looking for someone.

"Tippy?" Rodolphus said. "What's wrong?" He got up, going to the elf.

"Master Rodolphus, someone is trying to get into the manor!"

Rabastan jumped up. "What, Tippy? Who, why, how?"

Tippy responded, "Master Rabastan, it is she! She is provoking old wards, trying to break them."

Rodolphus growled. "Have they been hurt at all?"

Tippy frantically said, "Sire, the wards are almost done. She is almost in. Mistress and master are angry; their magic is activated."

Rabastan and Rodolphus looked at each other, pulling their wands and chanting the same spell to exile anyone around the manor and bring them to them.

Four people came to the ground in front of them.

Rabastan demanded, "Who the fuck are you?"

Rodolphus asked, "How did you find the manor?"

Person 1: "We were hired to break in."

Person 2: "It's true."

Person 3: "It was she."

Person 4: "Her." He pointed at Bellatrix.

Rodolphus and Rabastan looked at her. "You bitch," they said.

Harry asked, "Bellatrix, why?"

Tom glared. "Good question."

Bellatrix responded, "There's something of mine in the manor. I could not go in, so I hired people to do it for me."

Rodolphus grunted. "What the fuck is yours in our manor?"

Rabastan added, "Last time we looked, you didn't belong there."

Bellatrix replied, "Well, my ring, of course. The Blacks gave the Lestranges a ring, which is a Black artifact. I want it back as long as it belongs to me." She smirked.

Rabastan laughed. "Oh my god, that stupid thing? It's not even at the manor; it's in my pocket."

Rodolphus looked confused. "What?"

Rabastan pulled it out. "This." He broke it, the magic releasing into the air and circling Rodolphus. Rodolphus blinked, surprised. "Um, what?"

Bellatrix screamed. "No! How could you do that? That was mine!"

Rabastan said, "It was created for him in the first place, or the one he chose to marry. The Blacks were quite smart in the way it's protection magic. Now it's connected to him, and no one else can touch him."

Harry asked, "Did Orion make that?"

Rabastan nodded. "Yep."

Harry blinked and pulled out the exact copy. "The Potters also have one."

Rodolphus and Rabastan looked at him. "Break it," they said.

Harry did so. It circled around Rabastan. He looked at Harry, shocked. "Um, why?"

Harry explained, "Potter blood has always attracted twins. I was just waiting before talking to you about it."

Bellatrix screamed, shooting a spell of unknown origin at Rodolphus. The magic rebounded onto her, making her scream.

Harry exclaimed, "What the fuck is wrong with you? You really are batshit crazy."

Rodolphus sighed. "Can we be done? I'm freaking tired." Rabastan went to him, holding him like he used to when they were kids, after provoking the family spell.

Tom said, "Bellatrix, you're done." He banished her to the dungeons under Riddle Manor.

Rodolphus shifted back to put his weight on his brother, who offered him a recovery potion. With a nod, he downed it. "Gosh, when was the last time we did that?"

Tippy said, "Master, the wards are fixed. The elves will keep the manor safe."

Rodolphus replied, "Go, Tippy. Tell your family hello from me."

Tippy responded, "Thank you, Master."

Rabastan snorted. "Did she finally get laid?" He laughed.

Rodolphus chuckled. "Last year. I met her kids; loyal like their mom."

Harry looked at them. "Um…"

Rodolphus gulped. "Um, I can explain, I promise. So, my family created blood wards for the manor. When the manor feels endangered, the elves pop in because they're also connected to the manor. By activating it, it activates the ancient magic that our parents put in place. So only our family can activate the wards, and the wards are designed to send whoever is attacking. Because it's a family magic and how it was created, our parents designed it as the only way to protect our manor. And we were wanted for that, so our father designed it like that."

Harry nodded.
