Chapter 64 Kanto League Top 4 Ash vs Paul Part 2

Hello everyone, this chapter will continue Ash and Paul's battle and decide the victor. Also, I just want to let you guys know that this chapter it's not only my longest chapter in this arc but also the longest battle I've written in this story. I hope you all enjoy!

We begin the chapter where we left off with Dragonite and Gyarados clashing with each other using Dragon Rush and Waterfall respectively. We zoom in on the battlefield and see the two-mons continuing to push each other trying to see who's stronger. They keep doing that for a few more seconds until they back away from each other going to their respective trainers' sides. When they do Ash calls for a command.

"Gyarados use Dragon Dance then Stone Edge!" Ash calls Gyarados lets out a mighty roar and spins increasing its attack/speed. Gyarados continues to roar as it summons large sharp stones around it and fires them at Dragonite as Paul speaks.

"Dragonite fly forward and dodge the Stone Edge. Then when you get close use Thunder Punch!" Paul calls Dragonite nods it flies forward and is easily maneuvering through the sharp stones. Once it manages to avoid all of the Stone Edge Dragonite begins to cover both of its fist in electricity it goes to hit Gyarados as Ash speaks.

"Gyarados counter with Iron Head!" Ash calls Gyarados covers its head in steel energy shoots forward and collides with Dragonites right fist. The two mons begin pushing each other back and forth Dragonite tries its best to push Gyarados back but isn't able too. Dragonite then goes to punch Gyarados with its left fist but before it can Gyarados lets out a mighty roar and successfully pushes the dragon away making it fly in the air. Dragonite manages to stop itself it looks at Gyarados as Ash speaks.

"Gyarados go after Dragonite and use Bounce!" Ash calls Gyarados quickly flies in the air then glows blue it heads for Dragonite as Paul speaks.

"Dragonite dodge!" Paul calls Dragonite manages to narrowly dodge Gyarados's attack Dragonite then flies after Gyarados as Paul speaks.

"Dragonite use Thunder!" Paul calls Dragonite roars it sparks up its body and fires a large Thunder that heads for Gyarados as Ash speaks.

"Gyarados use Dragon Tail to knock it away!" Ash calls Gyarados turns around and sees the incoming Thunder. The sea serpent quickly covers its tail in green dragon energy and knocks it away. When it does that Dragonite appears in front of Gyarados's face and has both of its fists covered in electricity as Paul speaks.

"Now use Thunder Punch!" Paul calls before Ash can make a command Dragonite uppercuts Gyarados with its right fist then punches it in the face with its left fist. Gyarados is then sent flying making it spin out of control Dragonite flies after Gyarados as Paul speaks.

"Now use Thunder!" Paul calls Dragonite quickly fires the large electric bolt it heads for Gyarados as Ash speaks.

"Gyarados quick use Crunch then use Hurricane!" Ash calls Gyarados manages to stop itself it covers its teeth in dark energy and bites down on the Thunder easily destroying it. Gyarados lets out a mighty roar as it creates a large Hurricane that heads for the incoming Dragonite as Paul speaks.

"Dragonite counter with your own Hurricane!" Paul calls Dragonite stops then roars it begins to flap its wings fast creating a large Hurricane that's the same size as Gyarados's. The two Hurricanes collide then mix together creating an even bigger Hurricane it summons a strong wind that affects the crowd as Ash speaks.

"Gyarados use Bounce to ride the Hurricane then use Ice Fang!" Ash calls Gyarados roars its body becomes blue then shoots forward entering the Hurricane. As Gyarados begins to ride the Hurricane Paul calls for a command.

"Dragonite use Dragon Rush to ride the Hurricane then use Thunder Punch!" Paul calls Dragonite roars it covers its body in dragon energy, then shoots forward also entering the Hurricane. Dragonite along with Gyarados continue to ride the Hurricane, while inside Gyarados covers its teeth in ice while Dragonite covers its fists in electricity. The two mons look at each other then shoot forward at blinding speed, they meet in the middle of the storm and collide. When they collide, it destroys the Hurricane creating a strong wind that everyone can feel, Gyarados and Dragonite continue to push each other back as Dragonite goes to hit Gyarados with its free arm Ash speaks.

"Gyarados use Waterfall!" Ash calls Gyarados lets out a mighty roar it covers its body in water knocks away Dragonites fist hitting the dragon in the stomach and begins to easily push Dragonite down. As Gyarados continues to push Dragonite the dragon looks back and sees the ground getting closer as Paul speaks.

"Dragonite use Agility!" Paul calls Dragonite nods before it hits the ground Dragonite speeds up and disappears. This surprises Gyarados it then looks forward and sees the ground. Gyarados can't stop in time as it crashes into the battlefield causing it to shake and creating a dust cloud as Ash speaks.

"Gyarados!" Ash calls in worry when the dust clears Gyarados stands back up it then shakes its head and is ready to continue. Dragonite then appears in front of Gyarados surprising the sea serpent and Ash Dragonites body is sparking with electricity as Paul speaks.

"Now Thunder!" "Gyarados quick back away with Bounce!" Both trainers call Dragonite roars as it summons a large bolt of electricity from the sky. Gyarados quickly glows blue and backs away dodging the Thunder before it hits it. As the Thunder is about to hit the battlefield Paul speaks.

"Dragonite make it hit Gyarados" Paul commands with the dragon nodding. Before the Thunder hits the ground Dragonite manages to lift the move up and make it head for Gyarados. Ash and Gyarados have surprised looks on their faces. Before Ash can tell Gyarados to dodge the Thunder makes contact with Gyarados and begins to shock it. Gyarados roars in pain from the super effective move until there's an explosion as Ash speaks.

"Gyarados!" Ash calls in worry when the smoke clears everyone can see Gyarados it's groaning in pain but can still battle. Gyarados stands back up and glares at Dragonite who's glaring back, in the stands Leaf speaks.

"I can't believe Dragonite was able to control the Thunder like that" Leaf says as Brock speaks.

"I agree Paul must've trained Dragonite a lot to be able to do that" Brock says with the group nodding they continue to watch the battle as Ash begins to think.

"I wasn't expecting Paul's Dragonite to control the Thunder like that I should switch out Gyarados and save it for later" Ash says to himself before he can return Gyarados Paul speaks.

"Use Thunder again!" Paul calls surprising Ash as Dragonite quickly fires another large Thunder it heads for Gyarados as Ash speaks.

"Gyarados quick fly in the air and use Bounce to speed up!" Ash calls Gyarados quickly begins to fly in the air dodging Dragonites Thunder. As Gyarados is flying in the air the Thunder goes upward heading for the sea serpent. Gyarados then glows blue using Bounce to speed itself up as Gyarados continues to fly Dragonite appears in front of it as Paul speaks.

"Now Thunder Punch!" Paul calls Dragonite covers its left fist in electricity and punches Gyarados hard in the face making it fall. As Gyarados is falling the Thunder then hits it making the sea serpent roar in pain as Ash speaks.

"Gyarados!" Ash calls in worry a few seconds later the Thunder goes away but Gyarados feels electricity all throughout its body making it paralyzed. Gyarados groans in pain as Ash speaks.

"Gyarados above you!" Ash calls Gyarados looks up and sees Dragonite flying towards it covering its body in dragon energy as Paul speaks.

"Now Dragon Rush!" "Gyarados dodge with Bounce!" Both trainers call Dragonite roars it completely covers its body in dragon energy and heads for Gyarados. Gyarados quickly glows blue and manages to fly back making Dragonite miss. When Gyarados stops Ash calls for his next command.

"Gyarados use Hyper Beam!" Ash calls Gyarados suffers from paralysis but roars as it creates a large ball of energy then fires it creating large beam that heads for Dragonite as Paul speaks.

"Dragonite counter with your own Hyper Beam!" Paul calls Dragonite quickly fires a large Hyper Beam of its own. The two beams fly through the sky then collide and begin fighting for dominance. As the two beams are fighting to see who's stronger Gyarados suffers from paralysis as Paul speaks.

"Now Dragonite!" Paul calls Dragonite roars it begins to increase the power of its Hyper Beam pushing Gyarados's back as Ash speaks.

"Don't give up Gyarados!" "Pika!" "Rio!" "Fro!" Ash along with Pikachu, Riolu and Froakie cheer. Gyarados hears their voices and roars as it begins increasing the power of its Hyper Beam too. Gyarados manages to push Dragonites Hyper Beam back until both beams are in the middle. Dragonite and Gyarados continue to roar increasing the power of their respective Hyper Beams more and more until the two beams explode creating a large smoke screen and a big gust of wind. When the wind disappears, everyone continues to look at the sky as Gyarados appears out of the smoke it's in front of Dragonite having its teeth ready as Ash speaks.

"Gyarados use Ice Fang!" Ash calls Gyarados quickly covers its teeth in ice and goes to bite Dragonite. Meanwhile neither Paul nor Dragonite are fazed as Paul speaks.

"Dragonite use Thunder times 4!" Paul calls "What?!" Ash says in shock as before Gyarados bites down on Dragonite the dragon roars to the sky as it summons 4 large Thunders that quickly come down and begin shocking Gyarados. Gyarados roars in pain from the 4 Thunders shocking it Ash has a surprised expression on his face as Paul speaks.

"I bet you're wondering how Dragonite's able to do this remember back when you battled that Greninja trainer from the Kalos region. I saw your Pikachu fire 2 Thunders at once and grew interested. After I caught Dragonite I trained it so it could be able to use more than 2 Thunders and it was able to master it easily" Paul says having a smile on his face while Ash looks at him and grits his teeth. Back in the stands Leaf speaks.

"I can't believe Paul was able to copy Pikachu's and Raichu's move" Leaf says as Ritchie speaks.

"So, Paul was also able to use a tactic that Ash thought of" Ritchie says as Giselle speaks.

"Can Gyarados survive those, Thunders?" Giselle asks while having a worried look on her face as Brock speaks.

"Ash's Gyarados's tough it's trained with Ash's electric type Pokemon and is great at tanking electric type moves but it's pretty exhausted from its battles with Aerodactyl and Dragonite so I'm not sure" Brock says with the group nodding as Misty speaks.

"Gyarados can still keep going I know it can" Misty says having a determined look on her face with Sobble, Quaxly and Togepi having the same look. Back in the sky the Thunders have finally stopped shocking Gyarados, everyone looks at the sea serpent they see that it's panting heavily with smoke coming from its body as Paul speaks.

"Looks like your Gyarados is done for Dragonite use one more Thunder!" Paul calls Dragonite nods it lets out a mighty roar summoning one more Thunder. The electric bolt heads for the tired Gyarados it's about to hit it as Ash speaks.

"GYARADOS DODGE!" Ash yells from the top of his lungs. Gyarados hears Ash's cry and manages to narrowly dodge the Thunder, surprising Paul. Gyarados then shoots forward wrapping its body around Dragonite and begins to descend back to the battlefield. Ash gets a smile on his face and speaks.

"Great job Gyarados hold on to Dragonite tightly and use Bounce Toss!" "I don't think so Dragonite use Thunder times 4!" Both trainers call Dragonite lets out a mighty roar it summons 4 large Thunders and begins shocking Gyarados again making it roar in pain as Ash speaks.

"Gyarados!" Ash calls in worry up in the sky Gyarados continues to roar in pain and the paralysis starts to affect its body making it start to slow down. But in Gyarados's mind it doesn't want to give up, it'll keep fighting and win. Gyarados lets out a mighty roar, it ignores the pain from the Thunders/paralysis glows blue and continues to descend to the battlefield going at a fast speed as Paul speaks.

"Dragonite keep shocking it to stop it!" Paul calls Dragonite continues to roar increasing the power of its 4 Thunders, but Gyarados continues to ignore the pain it holds onto Dragonite tightly and keeps heading for the battlefield. As the battlefield's getting closer Ash yells.

"GYARADOS BOUNCE TOSS!" 'PIKA!" "RIO!" 'FRO!" Ash cheers along with Pikachu, Riolu and Froakie. The Pokemon that Ash has on his belt and the ones at Oak's lab watching the battle cheer for Gyarados too. Gyarados can hear/feel their cheers. The sea serpent gets a determined look on its face and continues going down. As Gyarados is about to hit the battlefield it manages to lift itself up and slams Dragonite hard on the battlefield causing the entire battlefield to shake and create a dust cloud. Gyarados then lands on Ash's side of the battlefield panting heavily as Ash speaks.

"Great job Gyarados I knew you could do it!" Ash cheers along with Pikachu, Riolu and Froakie. Gyarados looks back at them and smiles as Paul speaks.

"Use Hyper Beam!" Paul calls Dragonite appears out of the dust cloud and fires a large Hyper Beam. Ash tells Gyarados to dodge but the sea serpent is unable to as it's too tired and the paralysis is keeping it in place. The Hyper Beam then hits Gyarados the sea serpent is sent flying until it crashes into the wall behand Ash and falls on the ground as Ash speaks.

"GYARADOS!" Ash calls out to the mon. When he does Ash along with everyone else can see that Gyarados can't battle anymore as the ref speaks.

"Gyarados is unable to battle Dragonite's the winner!" The ref calls Dragonite lets out a mighty roar in victory while Paul nods. Everyone in the crowd (especially Ash's friends and his Pokemon at Oak's lab) are left speechless surprised that Gyarados lost. Ash is surprised too but then recomposes himself he pulls out Gyarados's Pokeball and speaks.

"Gyarados return" Ash says returning the sea serpent to its ball Ash then looks at the ball and speaks.

"Thank you Gyarados now take a good rest" Ash says as he puts the ball back on his belt. Ash then looks forward, he sees Dragonite panting a little bit and begins to think.

"Looks like that last move from Gyarados was able to damage/tire Dragonite so I'll finish it off with my next one" Ash says to himself he grabs his next Pokeball and speaks.

"Clefable I choose you!" Ash says he throws the ball forward as the pixie mon appears. Clefable looks at Dragonite she has a serious look on her face and is ready to get revenge for Gyarados while Dragonite looks at her. Back in the stands Misty speaks.

"Nice It's Clefable's turn it should be able to take down Dragonite" Misty says with Giselle, Leaf, Jackie and Joe nodding as Ritchie speaks.

"True but would Paul really have Dragonite stay in" Ritchie says. Back on the battlefield Paul pulls out Dragonites Pokeball and speaks.

"Dragonite return" Paul says with the dragon nodding it goes back in its Pokeball as Ash speaks.

"You're not going to keep Dragonite in?" Ash asks as Paul speaks.

"Of course, I'm not how dumb do you think I am? that would be something you would do" Paul responds making Ash mad as he knows he's right. Paul then pulls out another Pokeball and goes to throw it.

"Raichu stand by for battle!" Paul says he throws the ball forward as his Kanto Raichu appears. The mouse looks at Clefable and has a confident look on its face while Clefable glares at it. Back in the stands AJ speaks.

"Clefable looks mad" AJ says as Leaf speaks.

"Yeah, other than Ash's battle with Giovanni on top of the Silph Co. building I've never seen Clefable so angry before" Leaf says as Brock speaks.

"That's because Clefable lost to this Raichu before" Brock says as Misty speaks.

"Yeah, when Ash and Paul had their first battle with each other Clefable had a pretty bad loss against Paul's Raichu" Misty says with the group nodding as Joe speaks.

"So, this is a chance for Clefable to get revenge?" Joe asks with Misty and Brock nodding. Back on the battlefield Ash looks at Clefable and speaks.

"Clefable let's show them how much stronger you've gotten!" Ash says with Clefable nodding as Paul speaks.

"Raichu don't drop your guard" Paul says with Raichu nodding as it along with Clefable get into battle stances. The ref calls for the battle to begin as Ash speaks.

"Use Moonblast!" Ash calls Clefable quickly creates a pink orb of fairy energy with its right hand and throws it at Raichu as Paul speaks.

"Dodge then use Quick Attack and Iron Tail!" Paul calls Raichu moves to the right easily avoiding the Moonblast. Raichu then shoots forward reaching Clefable instantly, Raichu covers its tail in steel energy and goes to hit Clefable as Ash speaks.

"Use Protect Clefable!" Ash calls Clefable quickly summons a protective barrier blocking the Iron Tail making Raichu bounce away. Once Raichu lands it begins sparking its cheeks as Paul speaks.

"Use Thunder!" Paul calls Raichu fires the electric bolt it heads for Clefable as Ash speaks.

"Clefable use Dig!" Ash calls Clefable quickly dives underground avoiding the Thunder. Raichu feels Clefable underneath as Paul speaks.

"Raichu jump in the air and when Clefable appears use Thunder!" Paul calls with Raichu nodding the mouse quickly jumps in the air as Clefable appears under it. Clefable goes after Raichu as the mouse quickly fires the large electric bolt Ash speaks.

"Clefable use Psychic and send the Thunder back!" Ash calls Clefable quickly fires the psychic waves catching the Thunder and sends it back at Raichu. Paul's unable to make a command in time as the Thunder hits Raichu doing some damage to it, Clefable continues to head for Raichu it begins heating up its left fist as Ash speaks.

"Now use Fire Punch!" Ash calls Clefable reaches Raichu and successfully uppercuts it doing more damage to the mouse as Paul speaks.

"Counter with Iron Tail and Thunder!" Paul calls Raichu quickly spins around turns its tail into steel energy and hits Clefable hard in the stomach making the pixie cough in pain. Raichu then fires a point-blank Thunder at Clefable which consumes it and sends the pixie mon crashing back on the battlefield creating a dust cloud as Ash speaks.

"Clefable!" Ash calls in concern. When the dust clears Clefable's still standing the Iron Tail and Thunder did hurt but it can still battle. Clefable looks at Raichu and sees it land back on the battlefield having a smile on its face while Clefable glares at it. Back in the stands Leaf speaks.

"They seem to be even so far" Leaf says as Brock speaks.

"True but Raichu's still faster Ash will need to think of a way to deal with its speed" Brock says with the group nodding. Back on the battlefield Ash begins to think.

"Paul's Raichu is still fast how can I have Clefable match it?" Ash says to himself as he's thinking he remembers his battle with Koga and smiles as Paul speaks.

"If you're not going to attack then I will Raichu use Quick Attack!" Paul calls Raichu shoots forward going to hit Clefable as Ash speaks.

"Clefable stop Raichu with Psychic!" "Raichu move to the left!" Both trainers call Clefable quickly fires the Psychic waves, but Raichu narrowly dodges and is now on Clefable's right side as Ash speaks.

"Clefable use Fire Punch!" "Catch with your tail!" Both trainers call Clefable heats up its fists and goes to punch Raichu. Raichu quickly wraps its tail on Clefable's left fist surprising the pixie, but Clefable then goes to hit Raichu with its right fist as Paul speaks.

"Slam it on the ground" Paul calls Raichu nods it dodges Clefable's right fist then starts lifting up its tail that lifts Clefable too. Before Ash can make a command Raichu slams Clefable hard on the ground making it land on its stomach. Clefable groans in pain it sees Raichu sparking its body as Paul speaks.

"Raichu use Thunder!" "Clefable use Dig!" Both trainers call Raichu fires the large electric bolt it goes to hit Clefable but the pixie quickly digs underground narrowly avoiding the move. Raichu isn't worried, it gets its tail ready as Paul speaks.

"Now use Iron Tail on the ground!" Paul calls Raichu covers its tail in steel energy and slams it hard on the ground causing the battlefield to shake. Clefable then appears out from the ground and is sent flying as Paul speaks.

"Now use Quick Attack and Iron Tail!" Paul calls Raichu shoots forward instantly reaching Clefable as it goes to slam its tail on it Ash calls for a command.

"Clefable use Psychic on yourself to dodge!" Ash calls Clefable nods as Raichu's Iron Tail is just inches away from hitting Clefable, the pixie mon quickly covers its body in psychic energy and disappears making Raichu miss. Raichu lands back on the ground it begins to look for Clefable until it looks in the air and sees Clefable flying, surprising it and Paul as he speaks.

"So, Clefable can fly too" Paul says with Ash nodding. Back in the stands Jackie speaks.

"Clefable can also fly?" Jackie says as Brock speaks.

"Yes, Ash used this strategy in his battle with Koga to combat his Crobat" Brock says with Jackie nodding as Misty speaks.

"With this Clefable will be faster and keep up with Raichu. Go! Clefable!" Misty cheers along with Giselle, Jackie, Joe, AJ and Ritchie while Harrison stays silent. Back on the battlefield Ash looks at Clefable and speaks.

"Clefable this is where our counterattack begins!" Ash says with Clefable nodding as Paul speaks.

"Hmph, I doubt it. Raichu use Nasty Plot then Thunder!" Paul calls Raichu roars as it sharply increases its special attack. Raichu then summons a large Thunder from the sky it heads for Clefable as Ash speaks.

"Clefable dodge!" Ash calls Clefable shoots forward avoiding the Thunder as Paul speaks.

"Go after it" Paul says with Raichu nodding it makes the Thunder go after Clefable as Ash speaks.

"So, Raichu can do it too" Ash says to himself he looks at the sky sees the Thunder getting closer to Clefable then speaks.

"Clefable go up!" Ash calls with Clefable nodding it quickly flies up in the air. When it does the Thunder does too as Paul speaks.

"Raichu summon 3 more Thunders!" Paul calls with Raichu nodding the electric mouse roars to the sky as it summons three more Thunders, they head for Clefable as Ash speaks.

"Do a sharp turn to the right then descend!" Ash calls Clefable nods she does a sharp turn to the right avoiding the 3 electric bolts. But the 3 Thunders along with the one from earlier do a sharp turn too going after Clefable. Clefable then quickly descends heading for the battlefield with the 4 Thunders doing the same. As Clefable's getting closer to the battlefield Ash speaks.

"Now lift yourself up and head for Raichu!" Ash calls Clefable nods before she hits the ground Clefable manages to lift itself up and heads for Raichu with the 4 Thunders still following her as Paul speaks.

"You think I don't know what you're doing? Raichu use Dig!" Paul calls with Raichu nodding as it quickly goes underground avoiding Clefable and the 4 Thunders as they fly over the hole. Raichu then appears out of the ground a few feet away it covers its body in electricity as Paul speaks.

"Now use Wild Charge!" Paul calls Raichu covers its body completely in electricity and shoots forward going to hit Clefable. Back in the stands Joe speaks.

"This is bad Clefable's cornered on both sides" Joe says as Giselle speaks.

"What's Ashy Kins going to do?" Giselle questions while having a worried expression on her face along with AJ, and Jackie. The only ones who aren't worried are Leaf, Misty, Brock, Ritchie and Harrison. They stay quiet and continue to watch. Back on the battlefield the 4 Thunders and Raichu are about to hit Clefable Ash then smirks. Paul notices before he can say anything Ash speaks.

"Clefable use Minimize!" Ash calls surprising Paul as when Raichu's about to hit Clefable the pixie mon looks at Raichu smiles then becomes smaller surprising Raichu. Raichu then looks forward it sees the 4 Thunders, Raichu can't stop in time as it collides with the 4 electric bolts and yells.

"RAI!" Raichu cries out in pain as the 4 electric bolts shock it. They keep shocking Raichu until it falls on the battlefield groaning in pain, Raichu then stands back up it looks for Clefable until it hears a "Clef!". Raichu then looks at the sky and sees Clefable having its hands over its head creating a big Moonblast as Ash speaks.

"Clefable use Calm Mind then launch the Moonblast!" Ash calls Clefable nods it closes its eyes and begins to quickly calm its mind increasing its special attack and special defense as Paul speaks.

"Raichu use Thunder!" Paul calls Raichu roars as it fires a large electric bolt it heads for Clefable going to hit the pixie, but Clefable opens her eyes as Ash speaks.

"Now Clefable!" "Clef!" Ash and Clefable yell as Clefable throws the large Moonblast down it connects with the Thunder. Everyone looks on they see the two moves pushing each other back and forth but the Moonblast begins to easily overpower the Thunder it heads for Raichu as Paul speaks.

"Raichu dodge!" "Oh no you don't Clefable hold Raichu in place with Psychic!" Both trainers call before Raichu's able to run away Clefable quickly fires a Psychic grabbing Raichu and holds it in place. Raichu tries to break free but is unable to the mouse then looks at the Moonblast heading for it as the move consumes it. Raichu cries out in pain until there's a big explosion causing the battlefield to shake and creates a dust cloud. When the dust clears everyone looks at the battlefield, they see Clefable land back down looking at an unconscious Raichu as the ref speaks.

"Raichu's unable to battle Clefable's the winner!" The ref calls Ash, Pikachu, Riolu and Froakie cheer. Clefable has a satisfied look on her face as the crowd lets out a loud cheer, back in the stands Brock speaks.

"Having Clefable use Minimize to dodge the 4 Thunder's at last second so they could hit Raichu and then hold it in place with Psychic so the Moonblast could hit it was amazing" Brock says with the group nodding as they continue to cheer Ash on. Meanwhile, in the building where Red is he along with the other adults and Charizard have smiles on their faces while Delia and Rose happily cheer. In Oak's ranch Daisy, Mr. Mime and Ash's Pokemon cheer with Ninetales and Tinkaton cheering the loudest. Back on the battlefield Paul looks at Raichu and returns it to its Pokeball he then grabs another Pokeball and speaks.

"Seismitoad stand by for battle!" Paul says he throws the ball forward as his Seismitoad appears and has an excited look on its face. Ash and his Pokemon look at it as Ash speaks.

"So, Seismitoad's next this is going to be tough" Ash says while looking at the toad. Riolu looks at the toad and begins to growl at it. Seismitoad looks at Riolu and sticks out its tongue making Riolu angry. Riolu goes to fire an Aura Sphere but Pikachu and Froakie quickly stop it and tell it to calm down. Riolu nods then looks back at Seismitoad who smirks the toad then looks back at Clefable with Clefable looking at it. Back in the stands Misty speaks.

"He brought his Seismitoad out" Misty says as Brock speaks.

"Ash will need to be careful with this one as he already knows how strong it is" Brock says with the group nodding. Back on the battlefield Ash looks at Clefable and speaks.

"Clefable I know you're tired but let's take down Seismitoad" Ash says with the pixie mon nodding. The ref calls for the battle to continue as Ash speaks.

"Clefable heal yourself with Moonlight!" Ash calls Clefable nods it summons a moon above its head and begins to heal its injuries as Paul speaks.

"Seismitoad use Screech!" Paul calls Seismitoad takes a deep breath and lets out a loud ear-piercing Screech. The Screech hurts everyone's ears and makes Clefable stop using Moonlight as it quickly covers its ears the pixie mon also feels its defense lower as Ash speaks.

"Clefable quick fly in the air with Psychic!" Ash calls Clefable quickly covers its body in psychic energy and flies in the air getting away from the noise as Paul speaks.

"Now use Sludge Bomb!" Paul calls Seismitoad quickly stops screeching and fires multiple large poison bombs at Clefable as Ash speaks.

"Clefable use Psychic to grab the Sludge Bombs and send them back!" Ash calls Clefable quickly fires the psychic waves and grabs all of the Sludge Bombs stopping them. Clefable then sends them back as Paul speaks.

"Use Sludge Wave!" Paul calls Seismitoad roars as it creates a large wave of sludge that blocks the sludge bombs from hitting it. Seismitoad then propels itself off the top of the Sludge Wave it heads for Clefable as Ash speaks.

"Clefable grab it with Psychic!" "Use Knock off then Poison Jab!" Both trainers call Clefable quickly fires the Psychic waves at the incoming Seismitoad. Seismitoad covers its right hand in dark energy and chops the psychic easily destroying it. Seismitoad then covers its left hand in poison and jabs Clefable hard in the stomach causing super effective damage and making the pixie mon cough in pain. Clefable then holds onto Seismitoad's arm tightly as Ash speaks.

"Clefable use Blizzard!" "Use Hyper Voice then Toxic!" Both trainers call Clefable takes a deep breath it goes to fire the Blizzard, but Seismitoad lets out a loud yell which hurts Clefable's ears making it stop and causing damage. Seismitoad then quickly spits a toxic blob in Clefable's face making the pixie mon cough as it's now poisoned Paul then speaks.

"Now use Venoshock!" "Clefable use Protect!" Both trainers call Seismitoad quickly fires the stream of poison, but Clefable creates a protective barrier that blocks it. When the barrier goes down Seismitoad's raising its right hand in the air as Paul speaks.

"Now use Brick Break!" Paul calls Seismitoads hand glows white as it chops down hard on Clefable's head making the pixie mon let go of Seismitoads left arm. Clefable is then sent crashing back down on the battlefield creating a dust cloud as Ash speaks.

"Clefable!" Ash calls out in worry. When the dust clears Clefable stands back up groaning in pain and coughing it then looks at the sky and sees Seismitoad falling towards it having its mouth opened as Paul speaks.

"Now use Sludge Bomb!" Paul calls Seismitoad shoots out multiple bombs of poison from its mouth they head for Clefable as Ash speaks.

"Clefable back away and when Seismitoad lands use Moonblast!" Ash calls Clefable quickly jumps back a few feet away letting the Sludge Bomb hit the battlefield instead. When Seismitoad lands back on the battlefield Clefable quickly creates a big orb of fairy energy and throws it at Seismitoad as Paul speaks.

"Punch it back with Poison Jab!" Paul calls Seismitoad covers its left fist in poison and punches the Moonblast back towards Clefable. The pixie mon doesn't have time to dodge as the Moonblast hits it creating an explosion. Clefable appears out of the explosion and lands on its back groaning in pain, but it stands back up ready to continue. When Clefable fully stands back up it coughs as it feels poison damage it then looks at Seismitoad as Paul speaks.

"Now use Sludge Wave!" Paul calls Seismitoad roars it summons a big wave of sludge that heads for Clefable as Ash speaks.

"Clefable use Protect!" Ash calls Clefable holds its hands forward and summons a protective barrier. The Sludge wave then crashes down it tries to break through Clefables barrier, but Clefable manages to keep it up. When the sludge wave disappears Clefables barrier disappears too as Seismitoad appears in front of Clefable and has its right hand ready as Paul speaks.

"Use Poison Jab!" "Clefable use Minimize!" Both trainers call Clefable's unable to use minimize because of the poison as it continues to cough. Seismitoad quickly covers its right hand in poison and jabs Clefable hard in the stomach making the pixie mon cough in pain as it's sent flying and lands below Ash's feet. Clefable tries to stand back up as it wants to continue battling but it feels poison damage one more time and lays on the ground knocked out as the ref speaks.

"Clefable's unable to battle Seismitoad's the winner!" The ref calls Seismitoad smiles while Paul isn't surprised. Ash along with Pikachu, Riolu and Froakie have surprised looks on their faces, back in the stands Giselle speaks.

"Aw Clefable lost" Giselle says in a sad tone as Leaf speaks.

"Wait but during Ash's battle with Koga Clefable was doing great against Crobat it even got poisoned too how come it lost to Seismitoad?" Leaf asks as Brock speaks.

"While Clefable's gotten better at taking poison type moves I believe the reason why it lost is that Seismitoads Poison Jab's did more damage because of the Screech significantly lowering Clefable's defense" Brock says as Harrison speaks.

"Also, Clefable did just get done battling Raichu too. Ash wasn't able to have Clefable fully heal with Moonlight as Seismitoad kept attacking making Ash have to defend" Harrison says with the group nodding. Back on the battlefield Ash is sad that Clefable lost he then pulls out its Pokeball and speaks.

"Thank you Clefable you did great take a good rest" Ash says as he returns the pixie mon back to its Pokeball. Ash looks forward he pulls out his next Pokeball and speaks.

"Venusaur I choose you!" Ash says he throws the ball forward as his Venusaur appears. The plant dinosaur lands on the battlefield and lets out a mighty roar creating a shockwave, it then looks at Seismitoad with Seismitoad looking at it. Back in the stands Leaf speaks.

"Nice Venusaur's on the field" Leaf says happily as Ritchie speaks.

"While Venusaur has the type advantage we know more than likely that Paul will switch to another Pokemon" Ritchie says with the group nodding. Back on the battlefield Ash looks at Venusaur and speaks.

"I'm counting on you Venusaur!" Ash says with Venusaur nodding as it gets in a battle stance with Seismitoad doing the same. The ref calls for the battle to continue as Paul speaks.

"Use Sludge Bomb!" Paul calls Seismitoad quickly fires multiple Sludge Bombs at Venusaur. Ash's friends are surprised that Paul kept Seismitoad in as Ash speaks.

"Venusaur use Vine Whip to knock the Sludge Bomb's away then use Razor Leaf!" Ash calls Venusaur quickly shoots out multiple vines that begin to easily knock the Sludge Bombs away. When the Sludge Bombs are gone Venusaur starts to fire multiple Razor Leaf's as Paul speaks.

"Run forward and use Ice Punch!" Paul calls Seismitoad covers both of its fists in ice and shoots forward. Seismitoad begins punching the razor-sharp leaf's easily destroying them, Seismitoad destroys one more Razor Leaf and heads for Venusaur as Ash speaks.

"Venusaur use Power Whip to grab Seismitoad!" Ash calls Venusaur summons multiple large green vines and shoots them at Seismitoad going to grab it as Paul speaks.

"Use Bounce!" Paul calls surprising Ash as Seismitoad glows a bright blue and shoots forward. Seismitoad easily manages to break through the Power Whips and punches Venusaur in the face with its left fist causing super effective damage and making Venusaur skid back a few feet. Venusaur stops itself it looks at Seismitoad as Paul speaks.

"Now use Earth Power!" Paul calls Seismitoad roars as it punches the ground with its right fist creating a large crack that heads for Venusaur as Ash speaks.

"Venusaur use Vine Whip on the ground!" Ash calls Venusaur quickly slams its vines on the ground making it jump in the air and dodge the Earth Power. Ash then notices Seismitoad forming a Focus Blast as Paul speaks.

"Now Focus Blast!" Paul calls Seismitoad creates an orange ball of fighting energy and fires it at Venusaur. Before Ash can give Venusaur a command the Focus Blast hits Venusaur in the face creating an explosion. Venusaur then appears from the explosion and falls back on the battlefield groaning in pain as Ash speaks.

"Venusaur!" Ash calls in worry as Venusaur stands back up it shakes its head ready to continue making Ash smile. Ash then sees Paul return Seismitoad he brings Magmortar back in and calls for a command.

"Magmortar use Fire Blast!" Paul calls Magmortar points its arms forward as it shoots out a big blast of fire that heads for Venusaur as Ash speaks.

"Venusaur use Sludge Bomb!" Ash calls Venusaur quickly fires a big Sludge Bomb that collides with the Fire Blast creating an explosion. Magmortar then appears from the explosion, it points its left arm forward as Paul speaks.

"Use Flamethrower!" "Venusaur use Vine Whip on Magmortars legs!" Both trainers call as Magmortar goes to fire the stream of fire Venusaur quickly summons a whip that hits Magmortars legs making it trip as it fires the Flamethrower in another direction. While Magmortar's on the ground it looks at Venusaur and sees it lifting its right foot as Ash speaks.

"Venusaur use Earthquake!" "Magmortar use Smokescreen!" Both trainers call when Venusaur goes to stomp on the ground Magmortar quickly fires a cloud of black smoke that hits Venusaur in the face making it cough and stop using Earthquake. The Smokescreen covers the entire battlefield as Magmortar hides in it Ash then speaks.

"Venusaur be careful Magmortar can appear from anywhere!" Ash says with Venusaur nodding it looks around its surroundings waiting for Magmortar to attack as Paul speaks.

"Use Flamethrower!" Paul calls as a Flamethrower heads for Venusaur Ash then speaks.

"Venusaur dodge!" Ash calls Venusaur quickly dodges avoiding the stream of fire. When it does another Flamethrower hits it in the side making the plant dinosaur cry out in pain as Ash speaks.

"Venusaur use Vine Whip everywhere to hit Magmortar!" Ash calls Venusaur roars as it quickly fires multiple vines in all directions. When Venusaur does that it doesn't feel that any of its vines made contact with Magmortar making it confused. When the smoke clears everyone can see the battlefield clearly again, they see Venusaur's vines going everywhere but there's no sign of Magmortar. Back in the stands Joe speaks.

"Where'd Magmortar go?" Joe questions as he along with everyone else tries looking for it. Back on the battlefield Ash's looking for Magmortar too as he begins to think.

"Let's see it's not on the battlefield nor is it in the sky that only leaves" Ash says to himself he takes a closer look at the battlefield and sees what looks like a hole. Ash gets a surprised look on his face and speaks.

"Venusaur Magmortar's underground quick use Earthquake!" "You're too late use Fire Blast!" Both trainers call before Venusaur can stomp on the battlefield a big blast of fire appears from underneath Venusaur and hits it. Venusaur cries out in pain from the super effective move, when the Fire Blast disappears Venusaur lays down on its stomach groaning in pain while Magmortar appears from underground having a smile on its face. Ash grits his teeth while Paul smirks, back in the stands Jackie speaks.

"So, Magmortar was underground" Jackie says as Brock speaks.

"Paul knew that he couldn't have Magmortar land an attack on Venusaur while on the surface, so he had Magmortar use Smokescreen to hide underground using the hole that Raichu made, he waited for his chance to strike and hit Venusaur with Fire Blast" Brock says as Joe speaks.

"Wait isn't that a similar strategy that Ash used against Ritchie?" Joe asks as Ritchie speaks.

"Yes, it is it looks like Paul decided to take some of Ash's strategies making them his own and use them against Ash" Ritchie says with the group nodding. Back on the battlefield Ash looks at Venusaur and speaks.

"Venusaur are you okay?!" Ash asks with the plant dinosaur nodding it groans in pain but stands back up it looks at Magmortar and roars as Ash begins to think.

"Venusaur's taken a lot of damage I should switch it. But if I do Paul will just call for a command preventing me from switching Venusaur what can I do?" Ash says to himself he begins to think as Venusaur looks back at Ash and speaks.

"Saur!" Venusaur says catching Ash's attention, the boy looks at it and speaks.

"You're saying that you can win?" Ash asks with Venusaur nodding Ash smiles and speaks.

"Okay Venusaur I trust you, now let's win this!" Ash says with Venusaur nodding as Paul speaks.

"I'm not sure where you're getting that confidence from, but I don't care I'm ending this" Paul says as he calls for a command.

"Magmortar use Sunny Day then Fire Blast!" Paul calls Magmortar summons the harsh sunlight increasing the power of its fire type moves. The blast Pokemon points its arms forward as it shoots out a large Fire Blast that heads for Venusaur as Ash speaks.

"Let's go Venusaur use Growth and run forward!" Ash calls Venusaur nods it roars increasing its attack/special attack then starts running forward heading for the Fire Blast. Back in the stands Ash's friends are confused as AJ speaks.

"Is Ash out of his mind doesn't he know that Fire Blast will knock out Venusaur when it connects?" AJ says with Joe, Giselle and Jackie agreeing with him as Misty speaks.

"I don't think you guys need to worry" Misty says as Jackie speaks.

"What do you mean?" Jackie asks as Leaf speaks.

"Just watch" Leaf says with Jackie, AJ, Giselle and Joe nodding. They turn back to the battlefield and see Venusaur continue to run, getting closer to the Fire Blast as Paul speaks.

"Are you really this stupid? You know your Venusaur won't survive when it gets hit by the Fire Blast, you're just sacrificing it" Paul says as Ash speaks.

"That's true but what makes you think that I'm going to sacrifice Venusaur? this is all part of my plan" Ash responds having a smirk on his face making Paul confused. As Venusaur's getting closer to the Fire Blast Ash speaks.

"Now use Growth one more time and use Double Edge!" Ash calls Venusaur lets out a mighty "Saur!" increasing its attack/special attack one more time. Venusaur jumps forward, it covers its body in white energy and enters the Fire Blast. The people in the crowd have surprised looks on their faces that Venusaur dived into the Fire Blast while Ash smiles and speaks.

"Venusaur go through the Fire Blast!" Ash calls inside the Blast of fire we see Venusaur it's taking some damage from the Fire Blast but thanks to the Double Edge it's minimizing the damage. A few seconds later Venusaur bursts out of the blast of fire surprising Magmortar, Paul and some people in the crowd. Venusaur then rams its head into Magmortars stomach making the blast Pokemon cough in pain as it's sent flying and crashes back down on the battlefield a few feet away creating a dust cloud. Everyone looks at the battlefield when the dust clears, they see Magmortar laying on its back knocked out as the ref speaks.

"Magmortar's unable to battle Venusaur's the winner!" The ref calls Ash smiles and speaks.

"Alright it worked great job Venusaur!" Ash cheers along with Pikachu, Riolu and Froakie. Venusaur looks back at them it takes some recoil damage but smiles. Back in the stands AJ, Giselle, Jackie and Joe have surprised looks on their faces wondering how Venusaur was able to do that as Brock speaks.

"You see after having Venusaur increase its attack power with Growth and using Double Edge when Venusaur dived into the Fire Blast the white energy surrounding Venusaur was protecting it by minimizing the damage of the Fire Blast. And when Venusaur hit Magmortar thanks to the attack boost it got from Growth and Magmortar already being weakened from its battle with Pikachu. The Double Edge was able to knock out Magmortar in one hit." Brock says with the 4 trainers nodding as Harrison speaks.

"I have to say that was rather risky something could've easily gone wrong" Harrison says as Misty speaks.

"True but Ash has a strong bond with his Pokemon so even though it was risky he knew that Venusaur would be able to pull through and win" Misty says with Harrison and the others nodding. In Oak's ranch Daisy, Mr. Mime, and Ash's Pokemon cheer with Rowlet (perched on Daisy's head), Floragato, Thwackey, Grovyle and Wartortle cheering the loudest. Back on the battlefield Paul's surprised that Magmortar was taken down he then recomposes himself pulls out Magmortars Pokeball and speaks.

"Magmortar return" Paul says returning the blast Pokemon to its Pokeball. When he does Paul puts the ball back in his pocket as Ash speaks.

"You see that Paul with the power of believing in my Pokemon there's no obstacle we can't overcome" Ash states with Pikachu, Venusaur, Riolu and Froakie nodding in agreement. Paul looks at them, smirks and speaks.

"Hmph okay then let's see if the "power of believing" works on this one. Torterra stand by for battle!" Paul says he throws the ball forward as Torterra appears the continent Pokémon lands on the battlefield shakes it and lets out a mighty roar creating a big shockwave that blows Venusaur back a couple feet. Once Torterra's done roaring it looks at Venusaur and gets in a battle stance as Ash speaks.

"So, Torterra's next" Ash says. Back in the stands Leaf speaks.

"Paul's sending in his Torterra now? I thought he'd save it for later" Leaf says as Ritchie speaks.

"Paul must really want to get rid of Venusaur" Ritchie says with the group nodding. Back on the battlefield Ash looks at Venusaur he sees it panting heavily and speaks.

"Venusaur do you want to continue?" Ash asks with the plant dinosaur nodding Ash smiles and speaks.

"Okay Venusaur let's go!" Ash says with Venusaur nodding it looks at Torterra and gets in a battle stance with Torterra doing the same. The ref calls for the battle to continue as Ash makes the first move.

"Venusaur use Growth then Synthesis!" Ash calls Venusaur roars increasing its attack/special attack to its max, Venusaur continues to roar as it shines a bright light healing the damage it took from its battle with Magmortar. Once Venusaur's done it stops glowing it doesn't heal all the way but heals enough, Paul and Torterra aren't fazed as Ash speaks.

"Venusaur use Solarbeam!" Ash calls Venusaur roars as it quickly charges the beam and fires it. The beam goes to hit Torterra as Paul speaks.

"Use Crunch" Paul calls Torterra opens its mouth and bites down on the Solarbeam easily destroying it. Ash along with Venusaur have shocked expressions on their faces as Ash calls for his next move.

"Okay let's try this Venusaur use Power Whip!" Ash calls Venusaur roars as it summons multiple green whips and sends them at Torterra as Paul speaks.

"Knock them away with Wood Hammer" Paul calls Torterra stands upright its right arm glows in green energy and backhands the Power Whips easily knocking them away surprising Ash and Venusaur. When Torterra goes back to standing on all four legs Paul speaks.

"Use Stone Edge!" Paul calls Torterra stomps its feet on the battlefield summoning large sharp stones that head for Venusaur as Ash speaks.

"Venusaur use Leaf Storm!" Ash calls Venusaur roars the flower on its back glows as it fires a large storm of leaves. The leaves connect with the Stone Edge and begin to easily destroy them. When the Stone Edge is gone the leaves head for Torterra as Paul speaks.

"Use Leaf Storm" Paul calls Torterra roars as the tree on its back glows green and fires its own storm of leaves. The two Leaf Storms collide in the middle of the battlefield and it's not a contest. Torterra's Leaf Storm easily destroys Venusaurs the storm of leaves continue to head for Venusaur as Ash speaks.

"Dodge Venusaur and use Sludge Bomb!" Ash calls Venusaur narrowly dodges the storm of leaves by moving to the right it then fires multiple large bombs of poison at Torterra as Paul speaks.

"Block with Stone Edge and use Earth Power!" Paul calls Torterra summons multiple sharp stones in front of it blocking the Sludge Bombs but some of its stones start to crack a little bit. Torterra then stomps on the battlefield creating a large crack that quickly heads for Venusaur and hits it sending it flying high in the air as Paul speaks.

"Now finish it with Frenzy Plant" "Venusaur counter with Power Whip!" Both trainers call Torterra roars as it summons multiple large vines that head for Venusaur. Venusaur looks at the incoming vines and summons multiple large green vines to go counter the Frenzy Plant. When Venusaurs Power Whip comes into contact with the Frenzy Plant the Frenzy Plant easily blows pass the Power Whip and wrap Venusaur squeezing it tightly as Ash speaks.

"Venusaur try to break out!" Ash calls but Venusaur's unable to as Paul speaks.

"End it" Paul calls Torterra nods as its vines slam Venusaur hard back down on the ground causing the battlefield to shake and create a dust cloud as Ash yells.

"Venusaur!" Ash yells in concern. When the dust clears Torterras Frenzy Plant along with Magmortars Sunny Day disappear everyone looks at Venusaur laying on its stomach unconscious as the ref speaks.

"Venusaur's unable to battle Torterra's the winner!" The ref calls the crowd cheers while Paul and Torterra nod. Back in the stands Giselle speaks.

"I can't believe that Ashy Kins Venusaur lost without landing a single hit" Giselle says in shock as Brock speaks.

"That just shows how strong Paul's Torterra is, and it looks like it's going to take a lot to defeat it" Brock says with the others nodding. Back on the battlefield Ash's surprised that Venusaur lost he then recomposes himself and returns it back to its Pokeball. Ash then looks at the ball and speaks.

"Thank you Venusaur you did great take a good rest" Ash says he then puts the ball back on his belt once he does, he notices Paul return Torterra and sends Seismitoad back in. Seismitoad has a smile on its face waiting for its opponent as Ash speaks.

"So Seismitoad's back in it's your turn now" Ash says to himself while looking at his next Pokeball he then throws it.

"Primeape I choose you!" Ash says sending the pig monkey in. When Primeape appears, it punches its fists together ready to battle, Primeape then looks at Seismitoad and gets in a battle stance while Seismitoad smiles. Back in the stands Joe speaks.

"Primeape's in next I wonder how it'll do against Seismitoad" Joe says as Jackie speaks.

"I think it should do great it was very strong when I watched it battle in the fighting Dojo so it should be stronger now" Jackie says as Leaf speaks.

"Yeah, it also defeated Giovanni's Seismitoad too" Leaf says as Brock speaks.

"While all that's true Paul's Seismitoad is tough too and throughout this battle so far it's proven to be a very strong Pokemon" Brock says with the group nodding. Back on the battlefield Ash looks at Primeape and speaks.

"Primeape with your speed and power I'm confident that you'll defeat Seismitoad let's do this!" Ash cheers along with Pikachu, Riolu and Froakie. Primeape nods as it blows smoke out its nose while Seismitoad looks at it. The ref calls for the battle to continue as Paul speaks.

"Use Hydro Pump!" Paul calls Seismitoad takes in a deep breath and fires a large stream of water that heads for Primeape as Ash speaks.

"Primeape dodge!" Ash calls Primeape moves to the right easily avoiding the move as Paul speaks.

"Use Poison Jab!" Paul calls Seismitoad covers its fists in poison and shoots forward reaching Primeape instantly. Seismitoad goes to hit Primeape with its right hand as Ash speaks.

"Dodge Primeape then use Power Up Punch!" Ash calls Primeape quickly ducks avoiding Seismitoads attack. Primeape then covers both of its fists in orange energy and goes to uppercut Seismitoad with its left fist as Paul speaks.

"Dodge then use Poison Jab!" "Primeape block with Power Up Punch!" Both trainers call Seismitoad dodges Primeapes left fist and goes to jab Primeape with its left fist. Primeape quickly blocks with its right fist making both mons collide. Seismitoad then goes to hit Primeape with its right fist but Primeape blocks with its left fist. The two mons are now locked in a grapple they begin trying to overpower their opponent with neither one giving in. As the two mons continue to grapple Ash calls for a command.

"Primeape use Low Kick!" Ash calls Primeape nods it goes to kick Seismitoads left leg with its right leg as Paul speaks.

"Jump Seismitoad then throw Primeape in the air!" Paul calls Seismitoad quickly jumps avoiding Primeapes kick. Seismitoad then grabs Primeapes right arm with its own the toad spins around and throws Primeape high in the air. Seismitoad then jumps after Primeape and reaches it instantly as Ash speaks.

"Primeape use Ice Punch!" "Seismitoad dodge then get behind Primeape and grab it!" Both trainers call Primeape covers its right fist in ice it goes to punch Seismitoad but the toad easily dodges and gets behind Primeape. Seismitoad then wraps its arms around Primeape the two mons start to fall back towards the battlefield as Ash speaks.

"Primeape break out of Seismitoads hold with Thrash!" "Seismitoad use Bounce and slam Primeape on the ground!" Both trainers call before Primeape can thrash Seismitoad glows blue and begins to speed up heading for the battlefield. As the battlefield's getting closer Seismitoad lifts Primeape above its head and slams it face first on the battlefield causing it to shake as Ash speaks.

"Primeape!" Ash calls in worry Seismitoad jumps back to Paul's side of the battlefield once it lands it looks forward as Primeape manages to stand up. The pig monkey looks at Seismitoad and has an angry look on its face as Ash looks at Paul and speaks.

"Tell me did you just have Seismitoad use Bounce Toss just now?" Ash asks as Paul speaks.

"Why yes I did, and I have to say thanks' for showing me it really is a useful move" Paul says in a mocking tone making Ash grit his teeth. Back in the stands Misty speaks.

"I'm surprised he was able to have Seismitoad use Bounce Toss after only seeing it twice" Misty says with the group nodding. Back on the battlefield Ash looks at Primeape and sees it getting angry it's about to charge forward as Ash speaks.

"Primeape calm down running forward in anger won't help" Ash says with Primeape nodding as it quickly calms down and waits for Ash's commands as Ash begins to think.

"Seismitoad's stronger than when I first battled it, it's both strong and fast but Primeape's the same and I know that it can defeat it" Ash says to himself he looks at Primeape and speaks.

"Primeape the warmups over this is where our counterattack begins!" Ash states with Primeape nodding it punches its fists together as Paul speaks.

"Hmph you really think that was a warmup?" Paul asks as Ash speaks.

"Yeah, from here on out we're serious Primeape use Bulk Up then run forward!" Ash calls Primeape nods as it bulks up its body increasing its attack/defense it then starts running forward as Paul speaks.

"Of course, you'd charge forward Seismitoad use Screech!" Paul calls Seismitoad takes a deep breath and fires a loud screech it heads for Primeape as Ash speaks.

"Primeape cover your ears and keep running!" Ash calls Primeape quickly covers its ears blocking the Screech it keeps running heading for Seismitoad as Paul speaks.

"Seismitoad use Sludge Bomb!" Paul calls Seismitoad quickly fires multiple bombs of sludge at the incoming Primeape as Ash speaks.

"Primeape punch them away with Power Up Punch!" Ash calls Primeapes fists glow as it begins to easily punch through the sludge bombs. As Primeape keeps punching away its attack power continues to go up and is getting closer to Seismitoad as Paul speaks.

"Seismitoad use Bounce!" Paul calls Seismitoad glows blue and shoots forward reaching Primeape instantly. Seismitoad goes to punch Primeape with its left fist as Ash speaks.

"Primeape quick move to the left and use Power Up Punch!" Ash calls before Seismitoads fist connects Primeape quickly moves to the left getting on Seismitoads right side. Primeape then jumps forward and punches Seismitoad across the face with its left fist making the toad skid back a few feet. Primeape lands back on the battlefield, it feels its attack power increase then jumps after Seismitoad as Paul speaks.

"Use Hydro Pump!" "Primeape use Low Kick then Close Combat!" Both trainers call Seismitoad quickly fires the large stream of water. It goes to hit Primeape but the pig monkey quickly dodges by sliding down and kicks Seismitoads leg causing damage. As Seismitoad goes to fall forward Primeape stands back up and uppercuts Seismitoad with its left fist then punches it hard in the stomach with its right fist. Seismitoad coughs in pain as Primeape begins to punch/kick Seismitoad repeatedly with each punch/kick doing more damage than the last. Primeape then punches Seismitoad in the face one more time making it slide back a few feet, Seismitoad groans in pain as it sees Primeape appear in front of it starting to cover its right fist in ice as Ash speaks.

"Now use Ice Punch!" Ash calls Primeape completely covers its fist in ice it goes to punch Seismitoad as Paul speaks.

"Use Screech!" Paul calls as Seismitoad quickly lets out a loud ear-piercing Screech that hurts Primeapes ears making it stop its pursuit as it begins to cover its ears and quickly back away from Seismitoad. When Seismitoad's done screeching and Primeape's at a safe distance the pig monkey can feel its defense lower drastically as Ash speaks.

"It's okay Primeape we're almost there just a few more hits and Seismitoad will go down!" Ash says with Primeape nodding Paul smirks and speaks.

"You really think so? You really are pathetic" Paul says making Ash mad as he speaks.

"What do you mean by that?!" Ash asks as Paul speaks.

"I was only letting Seismitoad take Primeapes punches on purpose just to see how strong it is and honestly, I'm not impressed" Paul says with Seismitoad nodding as Ash speaks.

"Oh, please you're just bluffing Primeape definitely had the upper hand you're just trying to save face!" Ash responds with Primeape agreeing Paul smirks and speaks.

"Okay then I guess it's time to show you just how wrong you are Seismitoad fire a Water Pulse up in the air then use Rain Dance!" Paul calls with Seismitoad nodding it looks up at the sky and fires a ball of water in the air. The ball of water then falls down on Seismitoad hitting it in the face, Seismitoad then glows green as the damage it got from Primeape heals thanks to its Water Absorb ability. Seismitoad then roars to the sky as it becomes cloudy, and rain begins to fall. Seismitoad looks at Primeape having a smile on its face making Primeape mad as Ash speaks.

"Just because you've healed a little bit and set up the rain means nothing, we're still winning! Primeape use Power Up Punch!" Ash calls Primeape nods it shoots forward reaching Seismitoad in an instant as Paul speaks.

"Dodge then use Drain Punch" Paul calls Seismitoad easily dodges Primeapes fists as its left fist glows and punches Primeape hard in the face making the pig monkey fall back and land on its back. Primeape groans in pain as it also feels its energy being taken away and go to Seismitoad. The vibration Pokemon has a refreshed look on its face and smiles as Primeape stands back up Paul speaks.

"Now use Hydro Pump!" Paul calls Seismitoad takes a deep breath and fires a large Hydro Pump that's much bigger than before as it's powered up by the Rain Dance. The large stream of water heads for Primeape as Ash speaks.

"Primeape counter with Thunder Punch!" Ash calls Primeape covers both of its fists with electricity and collides with the Hydro Pump. Primeape begins punching away at the move trying its best to destroy it, as Primeape keeps punching it notices that the Hydro Pump's pushing it back and growing stronger. Before Primeape becomes consumed in water Ash speaks.

"Primeape quick move to the right!" Ash calls Primeape quickly moves to the right getting away from the Hydro Pump as Paul speaks.

"Use Bounce then Drain Punch!" Paul calls Seismitoad glows blue shoots forward and hits Primeape causing super effective damage. Before Primeape is sent flying Seismitoad grabs Primeapes right arm with its left arm holding onto Primeape. The toad covers its right fist in orange energy and punches Primeape hard in the face causing damage and stealing Primeapes energy as Paul speaks.

"Now keep using Drain Punch" Paul calls both of Seismitoads fist glow as it begins to repeatedly punch Primeape with each punch hurting more than the last and taking Primeapes energy. As Seismitoad continues to punch Primeape it has a smile on its face, Seismitoad then punches Primeape one more time almost knocking the wind out of Primeape. Primeape begins to wobble back and forth as Paul speaks.

"Now end it with one more Drain Punch" Paul calls with Seismitoad nodding it goes to punch Primeape one more time as Ash speaks.

"Use Endure!" Ash calls when Seismitoads right fist connects with Primeapes face the pig monkey takes the hit. When that happens Primeape grabs Seismitoads right arm with its left hand and begins squeezing it holding it tightly. Primeapes body then begins to glow an intense orange the pig monkey looks at Seismitoad and has an angry/serious look on its face. The intense orange aura then goes into Primeapes right hand, Primeape forms its right hand into a fist and makes it glow more intensely as Ash yells.

"PRIMEAPE USE COUNTER!" "APPPPPPPPEEEEEEEEEEEE!" Ash and Primeape yell as Primeape punches Seismitoad hard in the stomach with its strongest Counter. Seismitoad coughs in pain as it feels the wind knocked out of it, Primeape then lets go of Seismitoads right arm as it lets the toad put its hands on its stomach. Seismitoad walks back a couple of feet gets on its knees and begins to cough. Primeape looks at Seismitoad it pants heavily but then raises both of its fists as Ash speaks.

"Primeape end it with Power Up Punch!" Ash calls Primeape nods its fists glow in orange energy it goes to punch Seismitoad with its right fist as Paul speaks.

"Use Drain Punch" Paul calls Seismitoad smirks as its right fist glows it stands up and uppercuts Primeape making it stop its pursuit. Primeape groans in pain as Seismitoad takes away its remaining energy. Primeape then looks at Seismitoad and sees it take a deep breath as Paul speaks.

"Hydro Pump" "Primeape dodge!" Both trainers call Primeape can't dodge as it's too tired Seismitoad then fires a big Hydro Pump that consumes Primeape sending it flying until it crashes next to Ash. Ash looks at Primeape and yells.

"PRIMEAPE!" Ash yells but Primeape doesn't respond. It's completely knocked out as the ref speaks.

"Primeape's unable to battle Seismitoad's the winner!" The ref calls Seismitoad smiles while Paul nods. The Rain Dance then goes away, back in the stands Ash's friends are surprised as Jackie speaks.

"Darn I was really hoping that Primeape would win" Jackie says in a sad tone as Brock speaks.

"Me too Paul put Ash in a false sense of security making him think that Primeape had the upper hand against Seismitoad but in reality, it didn't" Brock says with the group nodding. Back at Oak's ranch Daisy, Mr. Mime and Ash's Pokemon especially his fighting types are sad that Primeape lost. Back in the stadium on the battlefield Ash along with Pikachu, Riolu and Froakie are sad that Primeape lost. Ash clinches his fists in anger then calms down he bends down looks at Primeape and speaks.

"Thank you for battling hard Primeape take a good rest" Ash says as he returns the pig monkey back to its Pokeball. Ash then stands back up and has a serious look on his face. Ash looks forward he sees Paul return Seismitoad back to its Pokeball he then grabs another Pokeball and speaks.

"Dragonite stand by for battle!" Paul says he throws the ball forward as his Dragonite comes back out. The dragon lets out a mighty roar creating a big shockwave, it then stops roaring as it groans a little in pain from its previous battle with Gyarados. Dragonite shakes its head, it looks forward waiting for its opponent as Ash begins to think.

"Dragonite's back in things aren't looking good for me I only have two Pokémon left" Ash says to himself he has a worried look on his face as Pikachu looks at Ash and speaks.

"Pika!" Pikachu says catching the boy's attention. Ash looks at Pikachu he sees it having a determined look on its face ready to fight and sparking its cheeks. Ash then looks at Riolu and Froakie who also have determined looks on their faces, Ash then feels the strength from all of his Pokemon telling him not to give up. Ash continues to look at the 3 mons he smiles and speaks.

"You guys are right we may be in a tough spot right now but the battle's not over, it'll be hard, but I still feel that I can win this" Ash says with Pikachu, Riolu and Froakie nodding in agreement. Ash then looks forward at the battlefield and speaks.

"Okay Pikachu I Choose You!" Ash says as he turns his hat backwards. Pikachu lets out a loud "Pika!" and jumps forward landing on the battlefield. Pikachu looks at Dragonite and begins sparking its cheeks with Dragonite looking at it as Paul speaks.

"Dragonite don't go easy on it" Paul says with Dragonite nodding as it continues glaring at Pikachu. Back in the stands Misty speaks.

"Nice Pikachu's on the field" Misty says as Brock speaks.

"Now that Pikachu's here Ash has a chance to turn this battle around" Brock says with the group nodding as Leaf speaks.

"YEAH! GO! PIKACHU!" Leaf cheers along with Giselle, Joe, AJ, and Jackie. In the building where Red is in Delia and Rose continue to cheer for Ash while Red along with his Charizard and the other adults continue to watch the battle in silence. Meanwhile back at Oak's ranch Daisy, Mr. Mime and Ash's other Pokemon begin cheering loudly for Pikachu. Back in the stadium there's silence in the air as both trainers and Pokemon are waiting for the battle to begin. A few seconds later the ref speaks.

"Let the battle continue!" The ref calls both Ash and Paul call for their moves.

"Pikachu use Thunder!" "Dragonite use Hyper Beam!" Both trainers call Pikachu fires a large Thunder while Dragonite fires a Hyper Beam. The two moves meet in the middle of the battlefield and collide creating an explosion as Ash calls for his next move.

"Pikachu use Extreme Speed then Iron Tail!" Ash calls Pikachu quickly shoots forward at blinding speed reaching Dragonite instantly. Pikachu covers its tail in steel energy and goes to hit Dragonite as Paul speaks.

"Block with Dragon Claw!" Paul calls Dragonite quickly brings up its arms, covers its claws in green dragon energy and successfully blocks the Iron Tail. Pikachu tries his best to break through Dragonites defenses, but the dragon stands strong. Dragonite lets out a mighty roar as it swings out its arms and blows Pikachu a few feet away. When Pikachu lands Dragonite appears standing over the yellow mouse it has its right claw ready as Paul speaks.

"Use Dragon Claw!" "Pikachu use Double Team to dodge then use Disarming Voice!" Both trainers call Dragonite covers its claws in green dragon energy it goes to hit Pikachu, but the yellow mouse quickly creates multiple clones of itself dodging the attack and jumping in the air. Pikachu along with its clones begin letting out a charming voice that goes to hit Dragonite as Paul speaks.

"Blow them away with Hyper Beam!" Paul calls Dragonite fires the orange beam and spins around easily destroying all the clones. As Dragonites Hyper Beam goes to hit the real Pikachu Ash speaks.

"Pikachu use Protect!" Ash calls Pikachu, quickly summons a protective barrier and successfully blocks the Hyper Beam. When that happens there's an explosion Pikachu's sent flying back spinning out of control until it safely lands on the battlefield. When that happens Dragonite appears out of the smoke heading for Pikachu as Ash speaks.

"Use Iron Tail!" "Knock it away with Dragon Claw!" Both trainers call Pikachu covers its tail in steel energy and jumps forward going to hit Dragonite. Dragonite covers its left claws in dragon energy and backhands Pikachu knocking it away as Paul speaks.

"Now use Dragon Rush!" Paul calls Dragonite lets out a mighty roar it covers its body in dragon energy and flies forward heading for Pikachu. As Dragonite's getting closer and is about to hit Pikachu Ash speaks.

"Pikachu use Surf!" Ash calls Pikachu lets out a mighty roar as it summons a large wave of water with Pikachu riding on top of it. Dragonite then crashes into the water it tries to break through but can't as the Surf consumes it. The Surf then comes crashing back down on the battlefield Dragonite appears out of the water sliding below Paul's feet. Dragonite quickly stands back up, shakes its head then looks for Pikachu but doesn't see it on the battlefield as Paul speaks.

"Above you Dragonite!" Paul calls Dragonite quickly looks up it sees Pikachu high in the air sparking its cheeks as Ash speaks.

"Pikachu use Nasty Plot then Thunder times 4!" Ash calls Pikachu lets out a mighty "PIKA!" It sharply increases its special attack then summons 4 large Thunders from the sky and sends them at Dragonite as Paul speaks.

"Dragonite dodge!" Paul calls with Dragonite nodding. The Dragon shoots forward and manages to dodge the large electric bolts. Dragonite flies in the air it heads for Pikachu while the yellow mouse falls towards it as both trainers speak.

"Use Dragon Rush!" "Counter with Wild Charge!" Both trainers call Dragonite and Pikachu cover their bodies in dragon/electricity respectively and collide. The two mons begin pushing each other back and forth in the air trying to see who's stronger. Dragonite has the upper hand at first, but Pikachu doesn't give up it keeps pushing too. The two mons keep pushing each other until they back away. When they do they stop themselves the two mons look at each other and begin sparking their bodies as Ash and Paul speak.

"Use Thunder Times 4!" Both trainers call Dragonite and Pikachu roar as they both summon 4 large Thunders and fire them at each other. The 8 electric bolts collide in the air Pikachu's Thunders push Dragonites back a little bit but Dragonite roars increasing the power of its Thunders until the 8 bolts create a big explosion and a strong gust of wind that affects the crowd. When the wind's gone everyone sees Pikachu and Dragonite land safely back down on the battlefield and the two mons continue to look at each other along with their trainers. Back in the stands Misty speaks.

"They seem to be even so far" Misty says with the group nodding. Back on the battlefield Pikachu and Dragonite continue to look at each other as Ash begins to think.

"Pikachu's been able to hold its own against Dragonite but that won't last for long how can I get Pikachu to land major damage on it?" Ash says to himself as he begins to think Paul speaks.

"Dragonite use Dragon Dance then Dragon Claw!" Paul calls Dragonite lets out a mighty roar it spins increasing its attack/speed. Dragonite then covers its claws in green dragon energy and quickly flies forward to hit Pikachu as Ash speaks.

"Pikachu use Quick Attack to dodge then use Thunder times 2!" Ash calls when Dragonite goes to hit Pikachu with its left claw, the yellow mouse quickly jumps in the air using Quick Attack dodging the move and making Dragonite slash the battlefield. Pikachu sparks up its cheeks and fires 2 big Thunders, they head for Dragonite as Paul speaks.

"Destroy them with Thunder Punch!" Paul calls Dragonite covers both of its fists with electricity and punches the Thunders. The 2 electric bolts push Dragonite back a little bit but the dragon roars and completely destroys the 2 Thunders. Ash's a little surprised but quickly recomposes himself as he calls for his next command.

"Use Extreme Speed then Iron Tail!" Ash calls Pikachu disappears then reappears in front of Dragonite. Pikachu quickly covers its tail in steel energy and slams it hard in Dragonites face causing some damage. Dragonite feels its defense getting lower as it looks at Pikachu and begins charging a beam as Paul speaks.

"Use Hyper Beam!" Pikachu use Double Team then Disarming Voice!" Both trainers call Pikachu quickly creates multiple copies of itself while Dragonite fires the Hyper Beam which destroys most of Pikachu's clones. The real Pikachu's behind Dragonite and lets out a charming voice of fairy energy. The voice hits Dragonites back causing super effective damage Ash takes notice as Paul speaks.

"Dragonite knock it away with Dragon Claw!" "Pikachu counter with Thunder Punch!" Both trainers call Dragonite covers its left claw in green dragon energy, it quickly spins around and goes to hit Pikachu. Pikachu quickly covers its right fist in electricity jumps forward and collides with Dragonites left claw. Pikachu tries its best to push Dragonite away, but Dragonite's too strong as it knocks the yellow mouse away making it land on the battlefield on Ash's side as Ash speaks.

"Pikachu!" Ash calls in worry, but Pikachu stands back up it's ready to continue making Ash smile as he begins to think.

"When Pikachus Disarming Voice hit Dragonites back it caused major damage, now that I think about it when I first battled it, I had Charmeleon get on its back too and had it attack Dragonites back with multiple Dragon Claws. So, that means that Dragonites weak point is its back I just need to have Pikachu somehow get on its back" Ash says to himself as Paul speaks.

"Dragonite use Hyper Beam!" Paul calls Dragonite quickly fires the orange beam as Ash speaks.

"Pikachu use Quick Attack to dodge!" Ash calls before the Hyper Beam hits Pikachu the yellow mouse quickly jumps in the air avoiding Dragonites attack. Dragonite then instantly appears in front of Pikachu it has its right claw ready as Paul speaks.

"Use Dragon Claw!" Paul calls Dragonite quickly covers its right claw in green dragon energy and goes to hit Pikachu as Ash speaks.

"Pikachu use Double Team to dodge then get on Dragonites back!" Ash calls with Pikachu nodding as it quickly creates multiple clones dodging the dragon's attack and making Dragonite hit a clone instead. The real Pikachu then quickly lands on Dragonites back surprising the dragon as Ash speaks.

"Now Thunderbolt!" Ash calls before Paul can call for a command Pikachu quickly shoots out a big Thunderbolt that begins shocking Dragonite making the dragon roar in pain as Paul speaks.

"Dragonite fly around using Dragon Rush to get Pikachu off your back!" Paul calls Dragonite covers its body in dragon energy and begins flying around the battlefield at a fast speed. Pikachu holds on tightly, not letting go as Ash speaks.

"Pikachu keep using Thunderbolt!" Ash calls Pikachu sparks its cheeks and keeps firing Thunderbolt after Thunderbolt shocking Dragonite. Dragonite groans in pain but roars it keeps flying around the battlefield doing its best to shake Pikachu off, back in the stands Ash's friends cheer for Pikachu to hang on. As Dragonite continues to fly around with Pikachu still shocking it with Thunderbolt Ash speaks.

"Pikachu use Thunder times 4!" "Dragonite use Hurricane!" Both trainers call before Pikachu can summon the 4 Thunders Dragonite roars it continues flying around the battlefield and creates a large Hurricane. Dragonite begins riding in the Hurricane making it go faster Pikachu tries to hang on the dragons back but can't as it falls off Dragonites back. As Pikachu's falling Dragonite quickly flies after it going to attack it as Ash speaks.

"Pikachu use Thunder times 4!" Ash calls Pikachu lets out a mighty yell as it quickly summons 4 large Thunders from the sky. The Thunders easily break through the Hurricane and hit Dragonite making it roar in pain stopping its advances. Dragonite then looks at Pikachu as Paul speaks.

"Use Dragon Rush!" Paul calls Dragonite roars it pushes through the 4 Thunders and hits Pikachus stomach causing damage, making the yellow mouse appear out of the Hurricane and crash on the battlefield. The 4 Thunders that're shocking Dragonite then explode as the explosion gets rid of the Hurricane and makes Dragonite crash back down on the battlefield too creating a dust cloud. When the dust clears everyone looks at the battlefield, they see Pikachu and Dragonite stand back up, both mons are groaning in pain and panting heavily. The two mons continue to look at each other until a blue outline appears on their bodies as both trainers speak.

"Use Surf!" Ash and Paul call Pikachu and Dragonite let out a mighty roar as they both summon large waves of water. Pikachu and Dragonite are riding on top of the waves when the two Surfs clash Pikachu and Dragonite jump forward going to their respective target while the two waves land on the battlefield Ash then speaks.

"Pikachu use Wild Charge!" Ash calls Pikachu covers its body in electricity and goes to hit Dragonite as Paul speaks.

"Dodge then use Dragon Claw!" Paul calls Dragonite quickly moves to the right dodging Pikachus attack. Pikachu then looks at Dragonite it sees the dragon getting its left claw ready as Paul speaks.

"Now Hit it!" Paul calls before Ash can call for a command Dragonite quickly covers its left claw in green dragon energy and jabs Pikachu hard in the stomach. Pikachu coughs in pain as it's then sent crashing back down on the battlefield as Ash speaks.

"Pikachu!" Ash calls in worry back on the battlefield Pikachu's laying on its back groaning in pain. As it begins to stand up Pikachu looks at Dragonite who's in the air and sparking its body as Paul speaks.

"Now end it with Thunder times 4!" Paul calls Dragonite lets out a mighty roar as it summons 4 large Thunders and sends them at Pikachu. Pikachu quickly stands back up it sees the 4 Thunders heading for it as Ash speaks.

"Pikachu use Thunder times 4 too!" Ash calls Pikachu lets out a mighty "Pika!" and fires its own 4 Thunders. The 8 electric bolts collide they begin pushing each other back and forth for a little while until Dragonites begin to overtake Pikachu's. Pikachu tries to put out more power but it's too tired making Paul smile. As Dragonites Thunders are about to destroy Pikachu's Ash speaks.

"Come on Pikachu it's not over yet we've overcame many hardships on our journey, and we'll do the same thing here. So don't give up Pikachu RELEASE ALL OF YOUR POWER!" 'RIO!" "FRO!" Ash cheers along with Riolu and Froakie. Pikachu hears their cheers and nod Pikachu then faces forward. Pikachu doesn't want to lose it wants to win this battle for Ash and even though it's tired it'll use all the remaining power it has to take down Dragonite. As Pikachus Thunders are about to be destroyed the yellow mouse yells.

"PIKA! CHUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!" Pikachu yells from the top of its lungs using all the electricity it has in its body. As Pikachu continues to yell a fifth Thunder appears from its body it heads for Dragonite and begins shocking it as Paul speaks.

"What the?!" Paul says in shock as Ash speaks.

"GO! PIKACHU!" Ash cheers along with Riolu and Froakie. Pikachu continues to yell as its other 4 Thunders destroy Dragonites and head for the dragon. The 4 Thunders reach Dragonite and begin shocking it along with the fifth. Dragonite roars in pain while the 5 Thunders continue to shock it until there's a big explosion that creates a big cloud of smoke and a big gust of wind. When the wind's gone Pikachu gets on one knee panting heavily, a few seconds later Dragonite appears from the cloud of smoke and falls on the battlefield landing on its stomach. Everyone looks at Dragonite they see that it's completely knocked out as the ref speaks.

"Dragonite's unable to battle Pikachu's the winner!" The ref calls making Ash smile as he speaks.

"ALRIGHT!" Ash lets out a loud cheer along with Riolu and Froakie. Pikachu also has a smile on its face while the crowd lets out a loud cheer too. In the stands Ash's friends cheer as Joe speaks.

"Man, that was intense my heart was beating the entire time" Joe says with the group nodding as Brock speaks.

"I feel the same, but Pikachu managed to pull it off" Brock says with Joe, AJ, Ritchie, and Harrison nodding while Misty, Leaf, Giselle, and Jackie speak.

"YOU ROCK PIKACHU!" "SOB!" "QUAX!" "PRI!" The 4 girls along with Sobble, Quaxly and Togepi cheer. Back on the battlefield Paul's surprised that Dragonite lost but quickly recomposes himself and returns the dragon. When Paul does that, he grabs his next Pokeball before he throws it he looks at Ash as he speaks.

"Amazing Pikachu I knew you could do it!" "Rio!" "Fro!" Ash says with Riolu and Froakie agreeing with Ash and are happy that Pikachu won. Pikachu looks at them and smiles but then begins to groan in pain. Ash notices before he can say anything Paul speaks.

"Torterra stand by for battle!" Paul says he throws the ball forward as his Torterra appears. The continent Pokemon lands on the battlefield shaking it and lets out a mighty roar creating a big shockwave that blows Pikachu back. Ash manages to safely catch Pikachu then looks back at the battlefield as Torterra stops roaring and looks forward waiting for its opponent as Ash and his Pokémon look at it. Back in the stands Ritchie speaks.

"So, Torterra's next" Ritchie says as AJ speaks.

"Hopefully Ash can beat it" AJ says as Misty speaks.

"I'm confident that he will" Misty says having a determined look on her face with the others nodding. Back on the battlefield Ash along with his Pokémon continue to look at Torterra they keep looking until Pikachu jumps out of Ash's arms and lands back down on the battlefield. Ash looks at the yellow mouse and speaks.

"You're saying you still want to battle Pikachu?" Ash asks with Pikachu nodding. The yellow mouse looks at Torterra and begins panting heavily as Ash begins to think.

"That battle with Dragonite really wore Pikachu out it won't last much longer but that's fine as I just need it to land one good hit on Torterra" Ash says to himself and speaks.

"Okay Pikachu let's do this!" Ash says with Pikachu nodding it gets in a battle stance while Riolu and Froakie cheer for it. Meanwhile Paul and Torterra look at them waiting for the battle to begin as the ref speaks.

"Let the battle continue!" The ref calls as Paul makes the first move.

"Use Earthquake!" Paul calls Torterra stomps its right foot on the ground causing the battlefield to shake as Ash speaks.

"Pikachu quick jump in the air to dodge!" Ash calls Pikachu quickly jumps in the air avoiding the move. While Pikachu's in the air it notices Torterra creating a large sharp stone as Paul speaks.

"Now Stone Edge" Paul calls Torterra nods as it fires the large sharp stone at Pikachu. As it's about to hit the yellow mouse Ash speaks.

"Pikachu use Protect!" Ash calls Pikachu quickly creates a protective barrier and blocks the Stone Edge. When the Stone Edge hits the barrier, it begins cracking until the barrier is completely gone. The Stone Edge is about to hit Pikachu as Ash speaks.

"Pikachu quick use Thunderbolt!" Ash calls Pikachu quickly fires its final Thunderbolt that connects with the Stone Edge creating an explosion. From the explosion appears Pikachu, it's sent flying back until it lands safely on the wall that's behind Ash as the boy speaks.

"Good job Pikachu now use Extreme Speed!" Ash calls Pikachu quickly propels itself off from the wall and shoots forward heading for Torterra at a blinding speed as Paul speaks.

"Use Frenzy Plant" Paul calls Torterra roars it summons multiple large vines and sends them at the incoming Pikachu as Ash speaks.

"Pikachu use Double Team and keep heading for Torterra. Then when you get close use Iron Tail!" Ash calls with Pikachu nodding. As the vines are about to hit Pikachu the yellow mouse quickly creates multiple copies of itself letting the vines hit the clones instead while the real Pikachu heads for Torterra. Pikachu's getting closer to Torterra it quickly covers its tail in steel energy and goes to hit it. But suddenly another large vine appears from underneath Pikachu and sends it soaring high into the air. Torterra then has its vines go after Pikachu, when they do Pikachu looks at the incoming vines as Ash speaks.

"Pikachu roll downward using Extreme Speed then use Iron Tail!" Ash calls Pikachu curls into a ball and shoots downward at blinding speed. As Pikachu's about to come into contact with the vines its tail glows in steel energy and shines brightly. When the vines go to hit Pikachu the yellow mouse rolls fast as it begins to easily cut through the vines, Pikachu keeps cutting vine after vine until it sees Torterra it goes to hit it as Ash speaks.

"DO IT PIKACHU!" "PI! PIKA! CHU! PIKA!" Ash and Pikachu yell as Pikachu slams its Iron Tail hard on Torterras head that makes the turtle fall face first on the ground, causing the ground below it to crack and creating a dust cloud. Everyone looks at the battlefield as when the dust clears, they see Pikachu on the battlefield panting heavily looking at Torterra who's laying on its stomach and can feel its defense lower. Everyone has surprised looks on their faces even Paul while Ash smiles and speaks.

"YEAH! Way to Go Pikachu!" Ash says with Riolu and Froakie cheering too. Pikachu looks back at them and smiles as Paul speaks.

"Torterra Hyper Beam!" Paul calls in an instant Torterra lifts up its head roars and fires the orange blast. Ash's unable to tell Pikachu to dodge in time as the beam consumes it and sends it crashing into the wall behind Ash creating an explosion as Ash yells.

"PIKACHUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!" Ash yells in worry as when the smoke clears everyone sees Pikachu stuck in the wall until it falls on the ground showcasing no signs to continue as the ref speaks.

"Pikachu's unable to battle Torterra's the winner!" The ref calls Paul isn't surprised while Torterra stands back up and shakes its head. Ash along with Riolu and Froakie have surprised looks on their faces but quickly shake their heads as they quickly run over to Pikachu. Back in the stands Ash's friends are surprised that Pikachu went down as Leaf speaks.

"I can't believe it Pikachu lost" Leaf says as Brock speaks.

"Unfortunately, this was the only outcome as there was no way Pikachu was going to continue since it was too tired" Brock says with the others nodding as Ritchie speaks.

"And now Ash has one Pokémon left while Paul has two" Ritchie says as Giselle speaks.

"Does Ashy Kins still have a chance at winning?" Giselle asks while having a worried look on her face as Misty speaks.

"The chance is small, but I still believe that Ash can do it" Misty says having a determined look on her face with the others nodding. Back on the battlefield Ash, Riolu, and Froakie have made it to Pikachu and see that it's completely unconscious. Ash has a sad look on his face but picks it up and heads back to his battle position with Riolu and Froakie. When they make it, Pikachu wakes up, the yellow mouse looks at Ash and speaks.

"Pika" Pikachu says telling Ash sorry while having a sad look on his face as Ash speaks.

"It's okay Pikachu you did amazing today and don't worry I believe we can still win this. So, take a rest and cheer us on" Ash says with Pikachu nodding. Ash then puts Pikachu down next to Riolu and Froakie they tell Pikachu good job in the battle with Pikachu thanking them. Ash looks at the 3 mons and smiles. Ash then gets a serious look on his face he looks back at Paul and Torterra as Paul speaks.

"Well, I certainly wasn't expecting your Pikachu to actually land a hit and do some damage to Torterra" Paul says as Ash speaks.

"Thanks, I knew Pikachu wasn't going to last much longer so I just wanted it to land one good hit on Torterra and it did just that" Ash says with Paul nodding as he speaks.

"Now that your Pikachu's gone, you're down to your last Pokémon while I still have two, you might as well forfeit now as you can't beat me" Paul states as Ash speaks.

"No can-do Paul even though I've one Pokémon left I'm not going to forfeit and I'm confident that it'll not only beat Torterra but Seismitoad too!" Ash states as he holds his last Pokeball forward. Paul gives a "Hmph" then speaks.

"Please I doubt it can beat Torterra. But since you're so sure that it can win hurry up and bring it out so that I can show you just how wrong you are" Paul says while having a serious expression on his face with Torterra having the same expression. Ash looks at them he can feel the intensity radiating off them, but he doesn't let it bother him as he speaks.

"In that case I'll prove you wrong too and show you that believing/trusting your Pokémon can make a difference. NOW! CHARIZARD! I CHOOSE YOU!" Ash says as he throws the ball high in the air when he does the ball opens as Charizard appears. The fire lizard lands on the battlefield causing it to shake and lets out a mighty roar creating a big shockwave showcasing its power. Neither Paul nor Torterra are fazed, they keep staring forward until Charizard stops roaring. Charizard looks at Torterra and gets a serious look on its face with Torterra having the same look. Back in the stands Leaf speaks.

"Charizard's Ash's final Pokémon" Leaf says as Brock speaks.

"Let's hope it's able to defeat both Torterra and Seismitoad" Brock says with the group nodding. Back on the battlefield Ash looks at Charizard and speaks.

"This is it Charizard you're my last Pokémon I'm counting on you to defeat Paul's last two Pokémon" Ash says with Charizard nodding as it gets in a battle stance with Torterra doing the same. Everyone looks at the battlefield seeing the two mons and trainers looking at each other in silence. Everyone feels a gentle breeze go by as the ref speaks.

"Let the battle begin!" The ref calls as Ash makes the first move.

"Charizard use Flamethrower!" Ash calls Charizard heats up its mouth and fires the stream of fire it heads for Torterra as Paul speaks.

"How predictable. Torterra use Stone Edge!" Paul calls Torterra stomps its two front feet on the ground summoning the sharp stones. When the Stone Edge and Flamethrower connect the Stone Edge easily destroys it and continues to head for Charizard as Ash speaks.

"Charizard fly in the air and use Air Slash!" Ash calls Charizard quickly flies in the air avoiding the sharp stones. Charizard's wings glow it quickly fires multiple slashes of wind at Torterra as Paul speaks.

"Torterra use Protect then Stone Edge!" Paul calls Torterra quickly summons a protective barrier blocking the slashes of wind making them bounce off it. Torterra then creates multiple sharp stones around it and fires them at Charizard as Ash speaks.

"Charizard dodge!" Ash calls Charizard manages to easily dodge the Stone Edge as Paul speaks.

"Turn it around" Paul says with Torterra nodding its eyes glow as the Stone Edge turns around and heads for Charizard surprising the fire lizard and Ash as the boy speaks.

"Charizard quick fly away!" Ash calls Charizard nods it continues flying in the air doing its best to get away from the Stone Edge. But as Charizard continues to fly the Stone Edge keeps following it as Paul speaks.

"Speed it up" Paul calls with Torterra nodding as it begins to make the Stone Edge go faster. The Stone Edge is getting closer to Charizard as it's about to hit it Ash speaks.

"Charizard use Metal Claw and Steel Wing!" Ash calls Charizard covers its claws and wings in steel energy. Charizard turns around facing the Stone Edge and shoots forward beginning to easily slash through all of them. When Charizard's done destroying the Stone Edge it flies towards Torterra and begins heating up its mouth as Ash speaks.

"Now use Flamethrower!" "Use Protect!" Both trainers call Charizard fires the stream of fire while Torterra summons a protective barrier blocking the attack. When the Flamethrower disappears, and the barrier goes down Charizard appears in front of Torterra it begins heating up its right fist as Ash speaks.

"Now Fire Punch!" Ash calls Charizard punches Torterra hard on the head causing damage. The continent Pokémon groans in pain but then looks at Charizard as Paul speaks.

"Now use Giga Drain!" "Charizard back away!" Both trainers call the 3 stones on Torterra's back glow green they turn into vines and go to grab Charizard. But Charizard quickly flies back easily dodging the vines as Paul speaks.

"Grab it with Frenzy Plant" Paul calls Torterra summons multiple large green vines and sends them at Charizard as Ash speaks.

"Use Flamethrower to burn the vines!" Ash calls Charizard heats up its mouth and fires the stream of fire. The Flamethrower manages to burn some of the vines but two of them appear out of the flames. The two vines shoot forward grabbing Charizard and hold it up in the air squeezing it tightly as Ash speaks.

"Charizard break out of there with Flamethrower!" "Stone Edge!" Both trainers call before Charizard can fire the Flamethrower Torterra quickly creates a large sharp stone it sends it at Charizard successfully hitting it and creating an explosion. A few seconds later Charizard appears out of the explosion the fire lizard falls back on the battlefield landing on its back groaning in pain as Ash speaks.

"Charizard are you okay?!" Ash asks with the fire lizard nodding it stands back up and looks at Torterra ready to continue with Torterra ready as well. Back in the stands Joe speaks.

"So, just like with Dragonite and Raichu controlling Thunder Torterra can control the Stone Edge and have it follow Charizard" Joe says as Brock speaks.

"Ash's going to have to really watch out for that" Brock says with the group nodding. Back on the battlefield Charizard and Torterra continue to stare at each other waiting for their trainers' commands as Ash begins to think.

"Hmmm let's see attacking from a distance is good but Torterra can counter with Stone Edge and Frenzy Plant. I can't have Charizard fight close up otherwise it'll give a chance for Torterra to grab it" Ash says to himself as he continues to think Paul speaks.

"Torterra use Frenzy Plant!" Paul calls Torterra roars and summons multiple large vines from the ground. The vines quickly head for Charizard as Ash speaks.

"Charizard fly in the air to dodge!" Ash calls Charizard quickly flies in the air easily dodging the large vines. As Charizard continues to fly suddenly a large vine appears in front of it and goes to hit Charizard as Ash speaks.

"Charizard burn it with Flamethrower then fly at Torterra!" Ash calls Charizard quickly fires the stream of fire that easily burns the large vine. Charizard quickly descends and flies at Torterra with the Frenzy Plant still going after it as Paul speaks.

"Torterra Stone Edge!" Paul calls Torterra summons multiple large sharp stones and fires them at Charizard as Ash speaks.

"Charizard use Metal Claw!" Ash calls Charizard covers its claws in steel energy and begins to easily destroy the sharp stones. When the Stone Edges are gone Charizard's getting closer to Torterra the fire lizard notices Torterra opening its mouth as Paul speaks.

"Use Hyper Beam!" "Charizard dodge!" Both trainers call Torterra fires the large orange beam while Charizard narrowly dodges by moving to the right. The Hyper Beam keeps going and destroys all of the Frenzy Plants that were going after Charizard. The beam then crashes into the wall behind Ash and creates an explosion. Meanwhile Charizard appears in front of Torterra the fire lizard has its mouth opened as Paul speaks.

"Torterra use Crunch!" "Charizard use Smokescreen!" Both trainers call Torterra goes to bite Charizard, but the fire lizard sends out a black cloud of smoke from its mouth that hits Torterra in the face and makes it cough a little bit Charizard then hides in the smoke. A few seconds later the entire battlefield is covered in black smoke as Paul speaks.

"You really think obscuring our vision will help you win? You tried this before and it didn't work last time" Paul asks as Ash speaks.

"Yes, I remember and this time it'll work! Now Charizard use Flamethrower!" "Torterra use Protect then Growth!" Both trainers call hidden in the cloud of smoke Charizard fires a large stream of fire it heads for Torterra but the continent Pokemon quickly summons a protective barrier blocking the flames. When the flames go away Torterras barrier goes down it then increases its attack/special attack power as Ash speaks.

"Charizard do another Flamethrower!" Ash calls still hidden in the smoke Charizard fires another stream of fire it heads for Torterra as Paul speaks.

"Use Stone Edge in all directions and get rid of this Smokescreen!" Paul calls Torterra stomps its feet on the ground summoning multiple sharp stones that go everywhere. The stone edge easily destroy the Flamethrower as they go to hit Charizard Ash quickly makes a command that only Charizard can hear. A few seconds later the Stone Edge gets rid of the Smokescreen clearing the battlefield. When the smoke is gone everyone can see Torterra but there's no sign of Charizard, back in the stands Giselle speaks.

"Where'd Charizard go? Did it go underground?" Giselle asks as AJ speaks.

"Or maybe it's in the air" AJ says as Jackie speaks.

"Hey, doesn't anyone else feel that it's getting hotter?" Jackie asks as Leaf speaks.

"Now that you mention it look at the sun it's brighter than before" Leaf says as Brock speaks.

"That means that Charizard set up the Sunny Day" Brock says with the group nodding. Back on the battlefield Paul and Torterra notice that the Sunny Day is active too. They then begin looking for Charizard, Paul doesn't see it in the air he then focuses on the battlefield. As Paul continues to look, he hears some rubble moving next to Torterra as he speaks.

"Torterra dodge!" "Flamethrower Charizard!" Both trainers call Torterra quickly jumps back a few feet while a large Flamethrower appears from underground. When the stream of fire's gone Charizard appears from the ground and flies high in the air. Charizard then looks at Torterra and heads for it as Paul speaks.

"Use Frenzy Plant!" Paul calls Torterra roars as it summons multiple large vines and sends them at Charizard as Ash speaks.

"Charizard use Air Slash!" Ash calls Charizard's wings glow as it fires multiple slashes of wind that connect with the vines and begin to destroy them. The slashes of wind head for Torterra as Paul speaks.

"Use Stone Edge!" Paul calls Torterra quickly creates multiple sharp stones and fires them upward. The sharp stones easily destroy the slashes of wind and head for Charizard. As the sharp stones are getting closer Charizard's body begins to heat up and covers its mouth in fire as Ash speaks.

"Now use Overheat!" Ash calls Charizard roars as it fires a giant Overheat that's powered by the Sunny Day. The Overheat easily burns through the sharp stones and heads for Torterra as Paul speaks.

"Use Protect!" Paul calls Torterra quickly summons a protective barrier as the Overheat connects. The Overheat tries to break through the barrier but Torterra's Protect is too strong. Charizard begins to increase the power of its Overheat making it hotter and bigger than before. As the Overheat keeps pressing down on the Protect Torterra notices the barrier starting to crack. Before Paul can speak Ash speaks first.

"Charizard Break That Protect!" Ash cheers along with Pikachu, Riolu and Froakie Charizard roars increasing the power of its Overheat more making it bigger. Torterra's Protect can't hold on anymore as it completely breaks and the Overheat hits the continent Pokemon. Torterra roars in pain from the super effective move the Overheat keeps burning the Turtle until there's an explosion creating a dust cloud. When the dust clears everyone looks at Torterra and see that it has burn marks all over its body. Torterra groans in pain as Paul speaks.

"Torterra above you!" Paul calls Torterra looks up and sees Charizard flying towards it while covering its right fist in fire as Ash speaks.

"Now use Swords Dance then Fire Punch!" "Take the hit Torterra!" Both trainers call Charizard sharply increases its attack power then completely covers its fist in fire and punches Torterra's head hard causing super effective damage. Torterra groans a little bit but looks at Charizard as the 3 stones on its back begin to glow green Paul then speaks.

"Now use Giga Drain!" "Back away Charizard!" Both trainers call Charizard's unable to back away in time as the 3 stones quickly turn into green vines and wrap around Charizard. The fire lizard feels its energy being drained, it then looks at Torterra and begins to heat up its mouth as Ash speaks.

"Charizard use Flamethrower!" Ash calls when Charizard fires the stream of fire Paul speaks.

"Use Hyper Beam!" Paul calls Torterra roars as it fires a big Hyper Beam that destroys Charizard's Flamethrower and hits Charizard's stomach. The fire lizard coughs in pain as it's sent flying and crashes below Ash's feet laying on its side as Ash speaks.

"Charizard are you okay?!" Ash asks with the fire lizard nodding it struggles to stand back up but eventually does. Charizard groans a little in pain but shakes his head and looks at Torterra as Paul speaks.

"Now use Synthesis" Paul calls Torterra glows a shiny white as it heals itself and gets rid of the burn marks from the Overheat. Torterra doesn't heal itself fully but heals enough to the point that it's ready to continue as it stares at Charizard with Charizard staring back. Back in the stands Misty speaks.

"Darn even though Charizard landed that Overheat it looks like Torterra has almost completely healed itself" Misty says as Brock speaks.

"Yeah, and Torterra landed a heavy blow on Charizard with that Hyper Beam Ash needs to think of a way for Charizard to injure Torterra and not have it heal quickly" Brock says as Giselle speaks.

"Why didn't Ashy Kins have Charizard use Inferno instead? If he used that he could've taken down Torterra" Giselle asks as Ritchie speaks.

"Ash most likely thought about using it but as we saw what happened with Overheat even with the Sunny Day boosting its power Torterra's still standing. So even if Ash used Inferno instead the same thing would've happened and now Ash is probably saving Inferno as a last resort" Ritchie says with Giselle and the others nodding. Back on the battlefield Paul speaks.

"Well, that was an interesting strategy you did" Paul says as Ash speaks.

"Thanks, I was really hoping that Overheat would've taken down Torterra and even though it did a lot of damage Torterra's still standing" Ash says as Paul speaks.

"Well of course it's still standing because of how I trained it while your Charizard on the other hand couldn't even take it out with an Overheat that had the Sunny Day boosting it talk about pathetic" Paul says making Ash along with Charizard, Pikachu, Riolu and Froakie mad. Ash then quickly calms himself down, looks at Paul and speaks.

"True while it didn't take down Torterra it still did a lot of damage and I'm confident that Charizard can still win this!" Ash states with Charizard roaring in agreement as Paul speaks.

"Hmph well from what I've seen so far I doubt it can" Paul says making Ash and Charizard annoyed as he then calls for his next command.

"Now Torterra use Growth then Stone Edge!" Paul calls Torterra roars increasing its attack/special attack more it then creates multiple sharp stones around it and fires them at Charizard as Ash speaks.

"Charizard use Sword/Dragon Dance and use Metal Claw/Steel Wing!" Ash calls Charizard lets out a mighty roar sharply increasing its attack/speed. The fire lizard covers its claws and wings in steel energy then flies forward going to clash with the Stone Edge as Paul speaks.

"Torterra have the Stone Edge surround it" Paul calls with Torterra nodding when Charizard goes to hit the sharp stones they move dodging Charizard's attack. Charizard then looks around and sees that it's surrounded by Stone Edges surprising it, Ash along with the crowd as Paul speaks.

"Now Torterra" Paul calls Torterra's eyes glow as it sends all the sharp stones at Charizard as Ash speaks.

"Charizard destroy them!" Ash calls with Charizard nodding the fire lizard begins to destroy the sharp stones. Even though the sharp stones are coming in all directions Charizard's able to easily get rid of them with its claws and wings. While Charizard continues to battle the Stone Edge, Paul has a smirk on his face Ash notices but before he can speak Paul speaks first.

"Now use Frenzy Plant!" Paul calls Torterra roars as beneath Charizard appears multiple large vines. Charizard's unable to escape in time as the large vines grab Charizard wrapping around its body, limbs, wings, tail and holding the fire lizard in the air. Charizard tries to break free, but the vines are holding onto it tightly as Ash speaks.

"Charizard use Flamethrower to burn the vines off you!" Ash calls Charizard begins to heat up its mouth as Paul speaks.

"Close its mouth shut!" Paul calls Torterra nods as it sends another large vine that wraps around Charizard's mouth keeping it closed making it so Charizard can't fire the stream of fire. Ash is surprised while Paul calls for his next command.

"Now use Giga Drain!" Paul calls the Frenzy Plant that's holding Charizard glow green they start draining Charizard's energy and begin healing Torterra. Charizard continues to try and break free, but the vines are holding onto it tightly and Charizard's feeling its strength depleting making Ash grit his teeth. Back in the stands Brock speaks.

"This is bad if Ash doesn't get Charizard out of there it'll faint" Brock says as Ritchie speaks.

"But what can he do? The Frenzy Plant is holding onto Charizard tightly and sucking its energy this isn't looking good" Ritchie says having a worried look on his face with the others having the same look. Back on the battlefield Ash's trying to think of a way for Charizard to break free but can't think of anything as Paul speaks.

"Forfeit it's obvious that you can't win" Paul says catching Ash's attention he looks at Paul and speaks.

"Forfeit? No Way Charizard can still battle!" Ash responds as Paul speaks.

"Fine have it your way but don't blame me if Charizard gets too injured. Torterra slam Charizard on the ground!" Paul calls with Torterra nodding as it lifts the fire lizard high in the air then starts to bring it down to the battlefield as Ash speaks.

"Charizard use Inferno!" Ash calls but wasn't fast enough as Torterra slams Charizard hard on the battlefield causing it to shake and creating a dust cloud as Ash yells.

"CHARIZARD!" Ash calls in worry as everyone sees Torterra's vines appear from the dust cloud and disappear. When the dust cloud fully disappears, everyone can see Charizard laying on its stomach groaning in pain and panting heavily. Ash has a worried expression on his face while Paul smiles, but Paul's smile instantly goes away as Charizard stands back up and looks at Torterra as Ash speaks.

"Charizard can you still battle?" Ash asks as Charizard looks at him, giving him a look saying that he will win, making Ash smile as Paul speaks.

"I don't understand why does your Charizard still want to fight? It's low on energy and should be knocked out" Paul asks as Ash speaks.

"Heh makes sense why you don't understand I can feel not just Charizard's but my other Pokémon's feelings. During the league whenever they were in a tough spot, they kept fighting so that they could win. It's all so that they can help with not just my dream but there dreams as well, so someone like you who only views a Pokémon's worth by only their strength and nothing else WOULD NEVER UNDERSTAND!" Ash responds with Pikachu, Riolu, Froakie and Charizard roaring in agreement. Back at Pallet Town in Oak's ranch Ash's Pokémon roar in agreement too. Back in the stadium Paul scoffs and speaks.

"Please it should be obvious that catching/using stronger Pokemon provide better results throughout this battle I've showcased that and now I'll prove it again by defeating your Charizard" Paul says while having a serious expression on his face as Ash speaks.

"Bring it! and we'll show you that believing in your Pokémon and caring for them with love is the better way!" Ash states making Paul annoyed as he speaks.

"Torterra end this battle with Stone Edge!" Paul calls with Torterra roaring it creates multiple large sharp stones around its body and fires them at Charizard as Ash begins to think.

"Even though I said all that what can I do now? Charizard's tired and looks like it can barely stand" Ash says to himself while looking at Charizard who's panting heavily. We now go into Charizard's mind we see the memory of when Charizard first met Torterra as a Turtwig while it was a Charmander. Charizard remembers losing that time even though it was close to winning. Charizard then remembers that after it evolved into Charmeleon it faced Torterra again when it was a Grotle and lost easily. Charizard then begins to remember the time in the Safari Zone when it lost to Dragonite and Torterra appeared and easily defeated it. Every time Charizard encountered Torterra it always lost constantly and in this battle it's close to losing too.

But Charizard doesn't want to lose as this time's different it will showcase just how strong it is and defeat Torterra. We now come out of Charizard's mind we see the Stone Edge getting closer, Charizard continues to pant but stops as its body begins to heat up. Ash looks at Charizard, he sees the fire lizard heating up its body he then looks at the sky and sees that the Sunny Day is still active. Ash then looks back at Charizard he smiles and speaks.

"Yeah, I can feel it Charizard I can feel your desire to win so let's do it Charizard Use Inferno!" Ash calls as Charizard lets out a mighty roar activating its Blaze ability and sends out a big wave of fire. When the Stone Edge comes into contact with the fire they easily melt away, the Inferno then heads over to Torterra as Paul speaks.

"Torterrra use Protect, Growth then Frenzy Plant!" Paul calls Torterra roars it summons a protective barrier then increases its attack/special attack to the max. Torterra then summons multiple large vines in the hundreds and sends them forward. When the vines and Inferno collide the Inferno easily burns away half of them and makes it to Torterra but are stopped by the Protect. The other have of the vines are in the Inferno heading for Charizard, as the vines get closer to Charizard more and more of them get burned by the Inferno leaving only 2. The 2 vines continue going forward until they jab Charizard hard in the stomach making the fire lizard cough in pain as Ash speaks.

"Charizard!" Ash calls in worry as Paul speaks.

"Looks like it's over for your Charizard" Paul says as everyone begin to see Charizard starting to fall. As Charizard's falling it begins to remember its time with Ash and everyone else. Charizard then begins to hear the cheers from Ash, Pikachu, Riolu, Froakie, Ash's friends and Ash's other Pokémon at Oak's lab. Charizard then remembers its dream to become the strongest Charizard in the world, so it won't fall here it'll win this battle and one day battle Red's Charizard then defeat it. Charizard then stops itself from falling it has as serious look on its face and continues to roar. Charizard's eyes become crimson red, the flame on its tail becomes bigger burning hotter. Charizard's Inferno starts becoming hotter and in the process its orange color turns into a bright crimson as well. The 2 vines that hit Charizard are easily burned away the Inferno then completely burns away Torterra's Protect barrier too. Paul's unable to make a command in time as the Inferno begins to burn Torterra causing super effective damage Torterra cries out in pain as there's an explosion. A few seconds later the Inferno along with the Sunny Day, Charizard's Blaze disappear and most of the battlefield has melted. Charizard's panting heavily but knows that wasn't enough to take down Torterra as when the smoke clears Torterra appears. Torterra has burn marks all over its body and is panting heavily as Ash speaks.

"This is it Charizard use Seismic Toss!" Ash calls Charizard roars as it quickly flies forward Paul then speaks.

"Torterra use Stone Edge!" Paul calls when Torterra goes to use Stone Edge it's then consumed in fire as it now has the burned status. Torterra roars in pain while Paul's surprised, Charizard then reaches the burning grass turtle grabs its left leg and begins to pull Torterra high in the air. As Charizard keeps flying in the air while holding Torterra Paul speaks.

"Use Giga Drain!" Paul calls Torterra breaks through the burn effect, it roars becoming an intense green (activating its Overgrow ability) as the 3 stones on its back turn into grassy vines that wrap around Charizard and begin sucking its energy. Charizard feels its strength decreasing making it go slower as Ash yells.

"COME ON CHARIZARD KEEP GOING DON'T GIVE UPPPPPPPPP!" Ash yells along with Pikachu, Riolu, and Froakie. Back in the air Charizard hears their cheers, it lets out a mighty roar and begins going faster. When Charizard gets high enough it begins to spin Torterra fast making the grass turtle dizzy as Ash speaks.

"NOW CHARIZARD THROW ITTTTTTTTTTTTTTT!" Ash yells from the top of his lungs as Charizard roars. Charizard then stops spinning and throws Torterra back down as hard as it can. Everyone sees Torterra falling at an incredible speed, Torterra keeps falling until it crashes hard on the battlefield creating a big crater, a dust cloud and making not only the battlefield shake but the entire stadium shake too. A few seconds later Charizard flies back down on the battlefield once it lands the fire lizard gets on one knee, it pants heavily and looks forward waiting to see the results. Everyone's eyes are focused on where Torterra landed, they wait a few seconds as the dust clears. Everyone can see Torterra laying in a big crater on its stomach with no intention of continuing as the ref speaks.

"Torterra's unable to battle Charizard's the winner!" The ref calls there's silence in the air for a few seconds as Ash has a surprised look on his face and speaks.

"We beat Torterra?" Ash asks he looks at Pikachu, Riolu and Froakie who nod. Ash then looks at Charizard and sees the fire lizard having a smile on its face and giving a thumbs up. Ash smiles too as he jumps up in the air and yells.

"WE! BEAT! TORTERRAAAAAAAAAA!" "PIKA!" "RIO!" "FRO!" Ash lets out a loud cheer along with Pikachu, Riolu and Froakie. Charizard roars in victory and fires a big Flamethrower in the air as the crowd lets out a big cheer too. Ash's friends cheer loudly for him, and Charizard as AJ speaks.

"He Did It! He took down Torterra!" AJ says happily as Brock speaks.

"I was worried that Charizard was going to faint, but it managed to pull through in the end" Brock says with AJ, Ritchie, Joe, and Harrison nodding as the girls speak.

"YEAH! GO! ASH AND CHARIZARD!" "SOB!" "QUAX!" "PRI!" Misty, Giselle, Leaf, Jackie, Sobble, Quaxly and Togepi let out a loud cheer. Meanwhile in the building where Red is in Delia, Rose, and Oak cheer happily for Ash and Charizard. Blue along with the elite 4 and Goodshow have smiles on their faces. Meanwhile Red and Charizard are smiling too and are both proud. Next, we come to Pallet Town in Oak's ranch we see Daisy, Mr. Mime and Ash's other Pokémon cheering too. The fire types along with Dratini fire big Flamethrowers in the air happy that Charizard won. Meanwhile, back in the stadium on the battlefield Paul has a surprised look on his face as this is the first time Torterra's ever lost and wasn't expecting it to lose. Paul then recomposes himself he pulls out Torterra's Pokeball and speaks.

"Torterra return" Paul says returning the continent Pokémon to its Pokeball. Paul then looks at the ball for a couple of seconds then puts it back in his pocket. Paul then looks over at Ash celebrating with his Pokémon Paul pulls out his final Pokeball and speaks.

"Seismitoad stand by for battle!" Paul says he throws the ball forward as Seismitoad appears. Ash along with his Pokémon quickly stop celebrating and look at Seismitoad as Ash speaks.

"That's right Seismitoad's his final Pokémon" Ash says with his Pokémon nodding as they look at the toad. Back in the stands Joe speaks.

"I was so invested in Charizard's battle with Torterra that I completely forgot about Seismitoad" Joe says with the others agreeing as Ritchie speaks.

"Unlike Paul's other Pokémon Seismitoad's in full health after its battle with Primeape while Charizard's very low on energy" Ritchie says as Brock speaks.

"This isn't looking very good for Ash" Brock says as Giselle speaks.

"But Ashy Kins can still win right?" Giselle asks as Misty speaks.

"We just have to believe that he can" Misty answers with the group nodding as they continue to watch. Back on the battlefield Ash continues to look at Seismitoad he then looks at Charizard and sees it panting heavily as Ash speaks.

"Charizard, I know that you're tired, but I know you can do it" Ash says with Charizard nodding. The fire lizard looks at Seismitoad and gets in a battle stance while Seismitoad smiles the ref then speaks.

"This is the final battle both trainers have 1 Pokémon left whoever knocks out their opponents Pokémon first will be declared the winner and will move onto the finals. Now if both trainers are ready, you may now begin!" The ref says as Ash speaks.

"Let's end this fast Charizard use Swords Dance then Dragon Claw!" Ash calls Charizard lets out a mighty roar as it sharply increases its attack power. Charizard then covers its claws in green dragon energy and shoots forward going to hit Seismitoad as Paul speaks.

"Dodge" Paul calls with Seismitoad nodding when Charizard goes to hit Seismitoad with its left claw the toad easily evades it by moving to the right. Charizard then goes to hit Seismitoad with its right claw as Paul speaks.

"Use Screech!" Paul calls Seismitoad lets out a loud ear-piercing Screech that hurts Charizard's ears making it stop so it can cover its ears. Charizard feels its defense lower it then looks at Seismitoad and sees it taking a deep breath as Paul speaks.

"Now use Hydro Pump!" "Charizard use Thunder Punch!" Both trainers call Seismitoad fires the big stream of water it goes to hit Charizard, but the fire lizard quickly covers its right fist in electricity and punches the Hydro Pump. The Hydro Pump pushes Charizard back a little bit but the fire lizard roars and destroys it. Once it does Seismitoad appears in front of Charizard having its right fist ready as Paul speaks.

"Now use Liquidation!" Paul calls before Ash can make a command Seismitoad punches Charizard hard in the stomach making the fire lizard cough in pain. Charizard holds its stomach and walks a couple feet back groaning in pain. Charizard then looks at Seismitoad and growls while Seismitoad continues to smile as Ash speaks.

"Charizard use Dragon Claw!" "Back away Seismitoad and use Rain Dance" Both trainers call Charizard covers its claws in green dragon energy and flies forward going to hit Seismitoad. But Seismitoad jumps back avoiding the move and making Charizard slash the ground instead. Seismitoad then lands a few feet away from Charizard and roars to the sky summoning the rain. As the rain falls down Paul calls for his next command.

"Use Muddy Water" Paul calls Seismitoad roars as it creates a large wave of brown water that's powered up by the Rain Dance. The large wave of water heads for Charizard as Ash speaks.

"Charizard fly in the air to dodge!" Ash calls Charizard tries but is too tired it doesn't have any energy left surprising Ash. Charizard then looks at the wave of water and sees Seismitoad riding on top of it as Paul speaks.

"End it" Paul says with Seismitoad nodding the large wave of water comes crashing down on Charizard as Ash yells.

"CHARIZARDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD!" Ash yells in worry. A few seconds later Charizard appears as it's sent sliding back below Ash's feet laying on its back. The Rain Dance goes away too as Seismitoad is standing on Paul's side of the battlefield. Charizard groans in pain it tries to stand back up wanting to win this battle for Ash and prove Paul wrong. But in the end Charizard stays down as its body can't move anymore. Ash gets a surprised look on his face as the ref speaks.

"Charizard's unable to battle Seismitoad's the winner. Seeing as contestant Ash has no more Pokémon left this means that contestant Paul from Veilstone City is the victor and will move onto the finals!" The ref calls Seismitoad smiles while Paul nods. Everyone has surprised looks on their faces and can't believe what they heard/see. Meanwhile watching on TV, the people that Ash met on his journey all have surprised/shocked looks on their faces. Back in Oak's ranch Daisy, Mr. Mime and Ash's Pokémon are all surprised as well. Gary also has a surprised look on his face, he then turns off the TV and walks away. Next, we come to the abandoned house where Giovanni is he has a smile on his face and speaks.

"So, the other me really lost to that brat? Guess it was a good thing I killed him after all" The man says with Mewtwo and his two Persian's nodding as he turns off the TV. Back in the stadium we see Ash's friends, they all have shocked looks on their faces as Joe speaks.

"I can't believe it Paul beat Ash too" Joe says having a surprised look on his face as Giselle speaks.

"This can't be real right? This is just a bad dream it has to be" Giselle says as Jackie speaks.

"Unfortunately, it's real" Jackie says with Giselle nodding as AJ speaks.

"If only Charizard wasn't tired from its battle with Torterra then it would've won" AJ says in frustration as Ritchie speaks.

"No even if Charizard wasn't tired from its battle with Torterra the result wouldn't have changed" Ritchie says as Brock speaks.

"I have to agree with Ritchie that Seismitoad still would've won in the end" Brock says while clinching his fists in frustration as Leaf speaks.

"Darn and Ash was so close to winning too" Leaf says in a sad tone as Misty speaks.

"Oh Ash" Misty says having a sad look on her face with Sobble, Quaxly and Togepi having the same look. Meanwhile, back in the building where Red is in he along with the other adults and Charizard are surprised too as Rose speaks.

"Darn it Ash was close" Rose says in frustration as Blue speaks.

"He was but Paul's Pokémon were stronger, and he was the more skilled trainer" Blue says with the other adults nodding. Delia has a sad look on her face tears start to well up in her eyes until she feels a hand on her right shoulder. Delia looks up and she sees Red and Charizard standing next to her. Delia continues to look at her husband as Red speaks.

"Ash did great" Red says with Charizard nodding. Delia looks at them and nods as she continues to look at the screen. Back on the battlefield Ash, Pikachu, Riolu and Froakie have surprised looks on their faces. Ash can't believe that he lost but he then shakes his head as he bends down and gently lifts up Charizard's head. Charizard looks at Ash and tells him sorry as Ash speaks.

"It's okay Charizard you along with everyone else fought hard and I'm proud of all of you" Ash says while trying to smile. Charizard looks at Ash's face he can see how sad he is that they lost but knows that Ash's trying to lighten the mood the fire lizard then nods. Ash and his Pokémon then hear footsteps they look forward and see Paul along with his Seismitoad walking over to them. Once they're close enough the two trainers and Pokémon look at each other in silence for a few seconds as Paul speaks.

"Looks like I was right after all" Paul says as Ash speaks.

"No, you're not the way you go about Pokémon is still wrong and one day I'll prove it to you" Ash says while having a determined look on his face with his Pokémon having the same look. Paul looks at them scoffs then speaks.

"Whatever it's my win today and whenever we do battle again, I'll beat you just like I did today, come on Seismitoad let's go" Paul says as he begins to walk away Seismitoad nods. Before Seismitoad begins to follow Paul Riolu speaks.

"Rio, rio, Rio!" Riolu says telling Seismitoad that when it grows stronger, and they meet again it'll defeat it in a battle and prove that Ash's right. Seismitoad looks at Riolu and yawns telling the aura puppy that no matter how strong it gets it'll never beat it. Seismitoad then walks away following Paul, Riolu gets an angry look on her face she goes to fire an Aura Sphere at the toad as Ash yells.

"RIOLU! STOP!" Ash yells, surprising the aura puppy and his Pokémon they look at the boy as Ash speaks.

"Please don't make it worse" Ash says while having a sad look on his face. Riolu looks at her trainer and nods saying sorry she then puts her hands down. Riolu then hears Seismitoad chuckling this makes the aura puppy angry but knows that this is not the time for that. Ash then returns Charizard to its Pokeball and tells Riolu sorry with the aura puppy nodding. After that Ash (with his hat covering his face) along with Pikachu, Riolu and Froakie walk out of the battlefield in defeat. Back in the stands Misty speaks.

"Come on let's go" Misty says with the group nodding as they quickly leave to go meet up with Ash. Back in the building where Delia is she looks at the other adults and speaks.

"Let's go" Delia says with Red, Charizard, Blue, Rose and Oak nodding. Red returns Charizard to its Pokeball as he and the others leave the room and begin running to the trainer hall. 10 minutes later we see Ash along with Pikachu, Riolu and Froakie they're all sitting on a bench that's next to a fountain and have sad looks on their faces. While they continue to sit, they hear a voice.

"Ash" The voice says making Ash and the 3 mons turn around as they see Red, Delia, Leaf, Oak, Blue, Rose, Misty, Brock, Joe, Giselle, AJ, Ritchie, Jackie, and Harrison. Ash looks at them while having a sad look on his face, Ash stands up puts on a fake smile and speaks.

"Hey guys looks like I lost" Ash says while having a fake smile but his friends can see right through it as Misty speaks.

"Ash are you okay?" Misty asks as Ash speaks.

"Yeah, I'm fine my Pokémon and I gave it everything we had but, in the end, we just weren't good enough" Ash says while having a sad look on his face. Delia then walks over to Ash, wraps him in a hug and speaks.

"Even though you lost me along with your friends really enjoyed watching your battle and our proud of you" Delia says with the others nodding Red then walks over to Ash he puts a hand on his head and speaks.

"Delia's right Ash you and your Pokémon did amazing" Red says while smiling. Ash looks at his parents and speaks.

"Thank you" Ash says smiling but everyone can still see that Ash's sad. Delia then lets go of Ash he walks over to Harrison and speaks.

"Harrison sorry but it looks like I won't be battling you in the finals I wish you luck and I hope you win" Ash says as Harrison speaks.

"Thanks Ash, and I'll make sure to win" Harrison says with Ash nodding.

After that 2 hours passed as it's now nighttime and we come back to the stadium. We see Harrison and Paul standing on the destroyed battlefield while looking at Goodshow as he speaks.

"First of all, I'd like to congratulate both of you on making it to the finals of the league. You've both showed amazing skills and have finally made it here congratulations" Goodshow says with the two boys nodding as Goodshow continues to speak.

"Now as for tomorrow's battle it'll happen at noon, I hope you both get a good rest tonight and give us a great final battle tomorrow" Goodshow says with the two boys nodding. Harrison then looks at Paul and speaks.

"I look forward to battling you tomorrow and I hope you give me a great challenge" Harrison says as Paul speaks.

"Same to you" Paul responds. After that the two boys walk away, going to their rooms to rest. Everyone else also go to their respective rooms too as we now come to the room where Ash, Misty and Brock are. Misty and Brock are sleeping while Ash's still awake and is laying on his left side. Ash clinches his right fist in anger then slams it on the mattress and speaks.

"Darn it" Ash says in frustration while Pikachu, Riolu, and Froakie have sad looks on their faces seeing their trainer frustrated as the chapter comes to an end.

Thank you for reading if you've made it this far. And here it is the conclusion to Ash and Paul's battle with Ash losing and ending his time in the league. Now I know that some of you guys aren't going to be happy about this result but the reason I had Ash lose is that he wasn't ready yet. While it's true that Ash in my story has stronger Pokémon and is very skilled at battle, I had him lose because this is his first league and it's a good way to show that he still has more to learn. Also, I think I did a good job at showcasing why Ash losing to Paul made sense.
