Chapter 67 Galar Fossils and a New Adventure
Hello everyone, this chapter will mainly focus on the gang finally reviving their Galar fossils and starting a new adventure. I hope you all enjoy!
The chapter begins the next day after the last one ended. It's currently 7:30am in the morning. Professor Oak has finished reading Prof. Ivy's email and has a curious look on his face.
"Interesting" The old man says as he's about to call Prof. Ivy Daisy speaks.
"Hey grandpa we've guests!" Daisy says, catching Oak's attention as he gets up from his chair and walks over. Once Oak reaches where Daisy is he speaks.
"We've guests at this hour?" Oak asks with Daisy nodding as she speaks.
"Yes, and it's these two" Daisy says as she points to the 2 adults who're standing outside. They're a man and a woman both wearing lab coats they look at Oak as the male scientist speaks.
"Hello there, my name is Seymore I'm a scientist that studies fossil Pokémon on Cinnabar Island" Seymore says as Oak speaks.
"Oh, I believe I've heard of you from Ash, Misty, Leaf, and Brock, they told me that you revived their fossils" Oak says with Seymore nodding as Daisy speaks.
"And who's the woman next to you?" Daisy asks as Seymore speaks.
"This is another scientist that studies fossil Pokémon her name is Cara Liss" Seymore says as the woman speaks.
"Hello, it's nice to meet you and like Seymore said my name's Cara Liss I research fossil Pokémon in the Galar region" Cara Liss says with the two Oak's nodding as Prof. Oak speaks.
"I see so what can we do for you two today?" The old man asks as Seymore speaks.
"We're here to revive Ash, Misty's, Brock's, and Leaf's Galar fossils as we've finally found a way to revive them" Seymore responds as Cara Liss speaks.
"Yes, with this new machine I've created it should be able to restore their fossils" Cara Liss says making the 2 Oak's happy as Prof. Oak speaks.
"That's wonderful news they'll be happy" Oak says as Daisy speaks.
"Unfortunately, they're probably still asleep right now since we had a crazy party yesterday" Daisy says with Seymore and Cara Liss nodding as Prof. Oak speaks.
"If you like you two can stay here until they wake up" The old man says making the 2 researchers happy as Seymore speaks.
"Wow thank you so much it's an honor" Seymore says with Cara Liss agreeing making the 2 Oak's smile as they then hear a voice.
"So, you're now able to revive Galar fossils?" The voice says making the 4 adults turn around. When they do Oak and Daisy's eyes grow wide when they see Gary who speaks.
"Yo" Gary says as Daisy immediately runs over and wraps her brother in a big hug.
"Gary you're back!" Daisy says happily as Gary speaks.
"Yes, I'm back now can you let me go you're squeezing me" Gary says but Daisy declines as she continues to hug him. Gary looks over at his grandfather for help making the old man sigh. Prof. Oak manages to pull Daisy off Gary, making Daisy sad. Oak then looks at the boy and speaks.
"You know Gary I'm surprised to see you back so soon I thought that you'd be gone for much longer" The old man says as Gary speaks.
"Me too but I just got a big feeling to come back here" Gary responds as Oak speaks.
"A "feeling?"" Oak says with Gary nodding as he speaks.
"Yeah, and I think it has something to do with my Galar fossils" Gary says with Oak nodding as Seymore speaks.
"Oh yes that's right I forgot that you have Galar fossils too" Seymore says as Gary speaks.
"So, is what you said true? Can you really revive them?" Gary asks as Cara Liss speaks.
"With my machine that I've created I'm confident that your fossils can be revived" Cara Liss says in confidence with Gary nodding as Oak speaks.
"In that case let's go to the ranch" Oak says with everyone agreeing as they all go to the ranch. When they make it, Gary gets to reunite with all the Pokémon he left at the lab. After that he hands Seymore and Cara Liss his Fossilized Bird and Fossilized Drake. The two researchers put the 2 fossils in different parts of the machine when that's done Cara Liss speaks.
"And now with a single press of the button let the restoring begin!" The woman says as she presses the button turning the machine on it glows red as Gary speaks.
"So how long until it's done?" Gary asks as Seymore speaks.
"Seeing as we're combining two fossils together, you'd think it take a day or two but with Cara Liss's machine it should take about 20 seconds" Seymore responds with Gary, Oak, and Daisy nodding as Daisy speaks.
"Whoa you've must've really tested it a lot in order to make it work so fast" Daisy says as Cara Liss speaks.
"Um actually this is the first time I'm testing it." Cara Liss responds surprising the 3 adults and Gary as Seymore speaks.
"But you told me that you've already done the testing" Seymore says as Cara Liss speaks.
"Yeah, sorry I lied about that as I didn't get a chance to test it when you contacted me, but it should still take 20 seconds for the fossils to be restored and I don't know what'll happen after combining two fossils together" Cara Liss responds surprising everyone there as Oak speaks.
"I now see why your name is Cara Liss" Oak says with everyone nodding and Cara Liss bowing her head apologetically. After that the machine dings signaling that it's done and begins to open. When it does everyone sees smoke come out of the machine as the Pokémon appears when it does everyone looks at it and have shocked looks on their faces as Cara Liss speaks.
"Look it worked it really worked!" Cara Liss cheers as Oak speaks.
"I've never seen this kind of Pokémon before it's a new discovery!" Oak says while having an excited look on his face with Daisy, Seymore, and Gary nodding as Gary speaks.
"So, this is my new Pokémon" Gary says while having a surprised look on his face as the mon lets out a loud roar creating a big shockwave showcasing its power making Gary smile.
2 hours later we come to the Ketchum residents we see Ash, Pikachu, Riolu, and Froakie waking up. The 4 yawn then stretch when that's done Ash looks at the 3 mons and speaks.
"Good morning, Pikachu, Riolu, and Froakie" Ash says with the 3-mons saying the same thing. After that Ash puts on his clothes Pikachu goes on his shoulder with Riolu and Froakie standing next to them as they walk out of the room and head downstairs. As they're walking downstairs, they see Misty playing with Sobble, Quaxly, Togepi, Raichu, Lycanroc, Torracat, and Floragato. Rowlet and Meltan are sleeping in Ash's backpack. They also see Brock helping Mr. Mime, and Delia cook breakfast in the kitchen. When the 4 of them finally make it, downstairs Ash speaks.
"Good morning, everyone" "Pika" "Rio" "Fro" Ash along with Pikachu, Riolu, and Froakie say. Everyone looks at them, smile and say good morning too as Delia speaks.
"Good morning sweetie you woke up right on time as breakfast is ready" Delia says making Ash happy as he speaks.
"I knew I smelled something good" Ash says as he along with everyone else see pancakes, scrambled eggs, hash browns, and bacon. Ash, Misty, along with their Pokemon all have excited looks on their faces as Ash speaks.
"Whoa! everything looks amazing" Ash says making Delia, Brock, and Mr. Mime happy. As everyone's about to eat they hear a knock on the door as Misty speaks.
"I wonder who that could be?" Misty questions as Delia walks over and opens the door. When she opens it, she smiles and speaks.
"Good morning, Leaf" Delia says as Leaf speaks.
"Good morning Ms. Ketchum are Ash, Brock, and Misty here?" Leaf asks as Delia speaks.
"Why yes they're come on inside we were just about to have breakfast" Delia says making Leaf happy as she walks inside. Leaf greets everyone there with everyone greeting her Leaf then looks at the food and speaks.
"Whoa! look at all of this food" Leaf says with stars in her eyes as Brock speaks.
"You can have some too Leaf we've made enough for everyone" Brock says making Leaf smile as she speaks.
"Thank you!" Leaf says having a happy look on her face as all of the humans sit at the table while the Pokémon have their food bowls. They're all ready to eat as Ash speaks.
"Alright let's dig in!" Ash says with everyone nodding as they begin to eat their food. As they're eating, we see Floragato trying to eat alongside Torracat but the fire cat ignores her as it's having an eating competition with Lycanroc, Riolu, and Froakie making the grass cat pout. Next, we see Sobble and Quaxly eating their food and give some to Togepi making the egg Pokémon happy. Pikachu and Raichu are happily drinking a bottle of ketchup and maple syrup respectively. Ash tries to take the bottles away from them but the 2 mouse Pokémon shock Ash causing everyone to laugh. Rowlet's eating a lot of food too it then sees Meltan trying to eat one of Delia's frying pans but quickly stops it. Rowlet tells Meltan that it can't eat it making the hexagon Pokemon nod in understanding. Meltan's stomach then growls as Delia and Mr. Mime walk over. Mr. Mime puts down a bowl of old bolts and nuts as Delia speaks.
"And here's an old frying pan that I don't use anymore so I hope you enjoy it" Delia says while putting the old pan next to the bowl. Meltan looks at them and gets a happy look on its face, it tells them thank you and begins to eat the food making everyone happy. As everyone continues to eat Delia looks at Leaf and speaks.
"So, Leaf how's Rose doing after the party?" Delia asks as Leaf speaks.
"Oh, she's doing much better today she had a little bit of a headache but is overall fine then headed to Indigo Plateau." Leaf responds with Delia nodding as Ash speaks.
"Hey Leaf, did you not eat breakfast before coming here?" Ash asks as Leaf speaks.
"Well, I did but after I saw all of the food you guys had I got hungry again" Leaf says with a small blush as Misty speaks.
"Just like Ash you're a glutton" Misty says with Leaf nodding as Brock speaks.
"Anyway, I'm sure you eating breakfast with us isn't the only reason you came here, right?" Brock asks as Leaf speaks.
"Oh yeah that's right I almost forgot. Prof. Oak called me today telling me to bring you, Ash, and Misty to the lab as he has a request for us" Leaf responds making everyone curious as Ash speaks.
"A request? I wonder what it is" Ash says as Leaf speaks.
"Also, he told me that we should bring our Galar fossils to the lab too as there's now a way to revive them" Leaf says surprising the 3 kids as Misty speaks.
"So, this means that our Galar fossils will finally be revived?" Misty asks with Leaf nodding.
"He wouldn't tell me the details on how it's done only that he wants us to bring them" Leaf says with everyone nodding. Ash gets excited then speaks.
"Alright it's settled once we're done eating breakfast let's go to Oak's lab and revive our fossils!" Ash cheers along with Misty, Brock, Leaf, and their Pokémon. Delia along with Mr. Mime look at them and smile.
20 minutes later everyone's done eating breakfast we then see the group of Ash (with Pikachu on his shoulder), Misty, (with Sobble and Quaxly on her shoulders and holding Togepi in her arms), Brock, Leaf, Ash's Torracat, Floragato, Lycanroc, Rowlet (with Meltan on its head), Riolu, and Froakie all tell Delia along with Mr. Mime goodbye then leave heading for Prof. Oak's lab. 5 minutes later when they make it to the lab, they don't see anyone inside, they then go outside and see Prof. Oak and Daisy. Their eyes then grow wide when they see Seymore and speak.
"It's Seymore!" The 4 kids say in shock as Seymore speaks.
"Hello kids it's great to see you again" Seymore says as the 4 kids along with Ash's Pokémon run over to him. When they make it Seymore greets the group with the group greeting him. Seymore then looks at Ash's Lycanroc and Meltan and speaks.
"So, this is the new Lycanroc form you used in the league I've to say it looks very cool" Seymore says making Lycanroc happy as it allows Seymore to pet his head. Seymore then looks at Meltan and speaks.
"And this is?" Seymore questions as Ash speaks.
"This is Meltan it's a Pokemon that lived in ancient times and has just been recently rediscovered" Ash says with Seymore nodding as he speaks.
"Well, it's a pleasure to me you Meltan" Seymore says with the Hexagon nodding as Brock speaks.
"So Seymore you were able to find a way to revive our Galar fossils?" Brock asks as Seymore speaks.
"Yes, but I'm not the one who figured it out it was a fellow researcher of mine. You all remember when I said that there was a researcher in the Galar region figuring out a way to revive your fossils well here she is." Seymore says as Cara Liss walks over and speaks.
"Hello, my name is Cara Liss and like Mr. Seymore said I'm the one who has found a way to revive your Galar fossils" Cara Liss says introducing herself with the group introducing themselves too as Leaf speaks.
"How are you able to revive our fossils?" Leaf asks as Cara Liss speaks.
"I'm glad you asked after learning that the fossils need to be combined together, I created a machine that does it" Cara Liss says as she shows the machine to everyone the gang look at it as Misty speaks.
"But will one machine be able to combine and restore all of our fossils?" Misty asks as Cara Liss speaks.
"Hehehehe don't worry after Seymore told me about you 4 having fossils my team and I managed to create 3 more machines!" Cara Liss responds as 3 more machines appear making the group amazed as Leaf speaks.
"So, amazing!" Leaf says with stars in her eyes making Cara Liss happy as Brock speaks.
"Question will these machines really revive our fossils?" Brock asks as Seymore speaks.
"As a matter of fact, they will, you see earlier today your friend Gary came and got his Galar fossils revived" Seymore says surprising the group as Ash speaks.
"Gary was here?!" Ash says with the 4 adults nodding as Leaf speaks.
"How come he didn't stay to say hi to us?" Leaf asks as Daisy speaks.
"Once he combined his fossils and restored it, he caught the Pokémon then went back on his training journey. He also said that when he comes back, he wants to showcase just how much stronger he's gotten" Daisy responds with the group nodding as Leaf speaks.
"He still could've stopped by to say hi" Leaf mutters to herself in annoyance as Ash speaks.
"What kind of Pokémon revived from Gary's fossils?" Ash asks as Cara Liss speaks.
"Well after combining his fossils together when the Pokémon appeared it had the hide of a dragon and the face/arms of an electric bird. We named it Dracozolt" Cara Liss responds with the group nodding as Oak speaks.
"Here's a picture of it" Oak says he gives the 4 kids a picture as they see what the mon looks like. They all have surprised looks on their faces as Brock speaks.
"It looks like something out of a horror movie" Brock says with Ash, Misty, and Leaf nodding as Seymore speaks.
"We were surprised too but even though it looked scary Gary's Dracozolt was friendly" Seymore says as Daisy speaks.
"Not only that but it's also strong in battle as it managed to defeat my Aerodactyl pretty easily" Daisy says with the group nodding as Ash speaks.
"Wow so Gary's new fossil is that strong…" Ash says he then smiles looks at Cara Liss and Seymore then speaks.
"This makes me more excited to face him again in the future Mr. Seymore and Ms. Cara Liss please revive my Fossilized fish and Drake" Ash says while holding the two fossils. The two adults look at Ash and nod as Seymore speaks.
"Of course, leave it to us Ash and did everyone else bring their fossils?" Seymore asks as Misty, Leaf, and Brock take out their fossils wanting them to be revived too as Cara Liss speaks.
"Okay everyone please place your fossils into one of these 4 machines" Cara Liss says with the 4 kids nodding as they successfully put the fossils in their respective machines. When that's done Cara Liss grabs a button then speaks.
"Now then let the restoration begin!" Cara Liss says as she presses the button turning the machines on starting the revival process. Everyone waits in anticipation as a few seconds later the machines stop signaling the completion of the restoration Cara Liss then speaks.
"Looks like the machines are done now let's see your new fossils" Cara Liss says with the group nodding. They see one of the machines open as the first to appear is Ash's fossil. When it comes out of the machine it's a Pokémon standing on two legs, its body is mostly green with red stripes, its stomach has curved spikes, and its head mainly looks like a fish. The mon then says one thing.
"Uno, La, La, La!" The mon says while having a smile on its face. The next one to appear is Misty's fossil its face is similar to Ash's fossil and its body is more fish like with flippers. The mon lands on the ground and speaks.
"Arcto?" The mon says while looking around. The last ones to appear are Brock's and Leaf's fossils as they walk out of the machine. Everyone looks at the 2 mons they see that their bodies look more like Misty's fossil but have two feet and a tail. They both have what looks like snow on top, they have 2 arms and a head. Everyone also sees that one is yellow with a light blue body while the other one's face and arms are grey with the rest of its body being a dark blue. The two mons then say one word.
"Zolt" The two mons say as they look around. Everyone has surprised looks on their faces as Cara Liss speaks.
"Amazing so these are what they look like when combining the fossils" Cara Liss says as Oak speaks.
"I've never seen these Pokémon before what a discovery!" Oak says excitedly with Daisy and Seymore nodding as Ash speaks.
"So, these are our Pokémon?" Ash questions as he along with Misty, Leaf, and Brock have surprised looks on their faces. Ash then smiles and speaks.
"So cool!" Ash along with Leaf say with stars in their eyes as Seymore speaks.
"By the way what should we name them?" Seymore asks as Cara Liss speaks.
"Don't worry I've the perfect names for them. We'll call Ash's fossil Dracovish, Misty's fossil will be named Arctovish and Brock's/Leaf's fossils will be call Arctozolt" Cara Liss answers with everyone nodding as Oak speaks.
"Those are great names" Prof. Oak says making Cara Liss happy Seymore then looks at the kids and speaks.
"So, are you kids going to go greet your new Pokémon?" Seymore asks with the group nodding as they go to meet their Pokémon. Ash along with his Pokémon walk over to Dracovish. The fossil fish dragon looks at them as Ash speaks.
"Hello Dracovish, my name is Ash, and these are Pikachu, Raichu, Lycanroc, Torracat, Floragato, Rowlet, Meltan, Riolu, and Froakie." Ash says as the 8 mons say hello to Dracovish with the mon saying a happy "Un, La" to them making Ash smile. Misty walks over to Arctovish she looks at it and speaks.
"Hello Arctovish, my name's Misty and these are Sobble, Quaxly, and Togepi" Misty says the 3 mons say hello to Arctovish. The fossil fish looks at them and smiles saying hello back making Misty along with her Pokémon happy. Next, we come over to Leaf and Brock, they've made it to their Arctozolt's (Leaf goes to the shiny one while Brock goes to the regular one) Leaf gives her Arctozolt a hug then speaks.
"It's great to finally meet you Arctozolt my name is Leaf and from here on out I'm going to take care of you" Leaf says making the mon smile as Brock speaks.
"Hello Arctozolt, my name's Brock it's great to meet you" Brock says with the fossil mon nodding. As the kids are interacting with their Pokémon, we see the 4 adults off to the side watching as Oak speaks.
"It's great to see that even though those 4 just woke up they seem to be friendly." Oak says with the other 3 nodding as they continue to watch Dracovish and Arctovish suddenly roar.
"UNO! ARCTO!" The two-mons roar surprising everyone as Ash and Misty speak.
"What's wrong?" The 2 trainers ask but the two mons don't answer as they suddenly start running forward carrying Ash and Misty away surprising everyone as the two mons begin running around. As Dracovish and Arctovish are running they accidentally hit the 2 Arctozolt's making the 2-mons angry as they begin to fire Ice Beam's everywhere. Leaf and Brock quickly try to calm them down, but the 2-mons hit them with Ice Beam and freeze them shocking the 4 adults. Meanwhile we see Dracovish and Arctovish continuing to carry Ash and Misty with Ash's Pokémon along with Misty's Sobble, Quaxly, and Togepi (riding on Lycanroc's back) chasing after them. As the 2 fossils continue to run, they also begin to run past Ash's other Pokemon at the ranch making them confused as they begin to run/fly after the 2-mons too. Dracovish and Arctovish continue to run until they see a lake, they begin to run faster until they both jump into the lake with Ash and Misty holding onto them. When they enter the lake the rest of Ash's Pokémon along with Misty's Sobble, Quaxly, and Togepi look at the lake having worried looks on their faces. A few seconds later Dracovish and Arctovish appear back to the surface with Ash and Misty still holding onto them making their Pokémon happy. The 2 kids cough up some water they then see Dracovish and Arctovish enjoying the water as Misty speaks.
"Looks like they just wanted to swim" Misty says with Ash nodding as he speaks.
"Are you guys enjoying the water?" Ash asks with the 2-mons nodding as they continue to happily swim making the 2 kids happy. 5 minutes later after enjoying their time in the water Ash, Misty (holding Togepi and has Sobble and Quaxly on her shoulders), all of Ash's Pokémon along with Dracovish and Arctovish make it back to where Brock, Leaf, the 2 Arctozolt's, and the 4 adults are. When they make it back Ash and Misty see Leaf along with Brock having towels wrapped around their bodies and shivering. Leaf's Shiny Talonflame is there warming them up while the 2 Arctozolt's are sleeping. Ash and Misty quickly run over to them as Ash speaks.
"Leaf, Brock what happened?" Ash asks as Brock speaks.
"After your Dracovish and Misty's Arctovish ran into our Arctozolt's they started firing Ice Beams everywhere and froze us" Brock responds as Leaf speaks.
"It's a good thing my Talonflame appeared to unfreeze us" Leaf says while thanking the bird as it nods Seymore along with Oak, Daisy, and Cara Liss then run over to the kids. Once they're close enough Seymore looks at Ash and Misty then speaks.
"Are you two, okay?" Seymore asks with Ash and Misty saying they're and that the reason why Dracovish and Arctovish acted the way they did was because they just wanted to swim and weren't being hostile. The 4 adults nod as Seymore speaks.
"I see well that's good to hear" Seymore says with Oak, Daisy, and Cara Liss nodding as Oak speaks.
"By the way don't you think it's time for you 4 to capture your new fossil Pokémon?" Oak asks while looking at the 4 kids. Ash, Misty, Brock, and Leaf nod they walk over to their respective fossils as Brock looks at Arctozolt and speaks.
"Hello Arctozolt, would you like to come with me?" Brock asks with the mon nodding. Brock then takes out a Pokeball and taps it on the mon. Arctozolt goes inside the ball as it dings confirming the capture Brock smiles and speaks.
"I just caught an Arctozolt!" Brock says happily making everyone smile the ball then disappears going to the Pewter Gym. Leaf then walks over to the shiny Arctozolt then speaks.
"Hi Arctozolt, would you like to come with me? I promise that I'll take great care of you, and you'll have a lot of fun" Leaf asks as the shiny Arctozolt nods making Leaf happy. Leaf then taps the ball on the mon it goes inside and like Brocks the ball doesn't shake once as it dings confirming the capture as Leaf speaks.
"I just caught an Arctozolt too!" Leaf cheers along with all her Pokémon (who appeared out of nowhere). Next, we go to Misty. She looks at Arctovish then speaks.
"Hi Arctovish, my dream is to become a Water Pokémon Master, I believe that if you join me, you'll help me achieve my dream and I promise to take very good care of you. So, do you want to come with me?" Misty asks, having a smile on her face Arctovish looks at Misty then nods, making Misty happy. Misty pulls out a Pokeball and taps the ball on Arctovish sucking the mon inside. The ball instantly dings confirming the capture as Misty speaks.
"I just caught an Arctovish!" Misty cheers along with Sobble, Quaxly, and Togepi. The ball then disappears going to the Cerulean Gym. We now see Ash he's looking at Dracovish then speaks.
"Hey Dracovish, my dream is to become a Pokémon Master. It's a goal that involves many battles against tough trainers and Pokémon. But it also allows me to make many friends too. So, Dracovish would you like to come with me? I feel having you with me would be fun" Ash asks having a smile on his face. Dracovish looks at Ash and it can feel that it'll enjoy its time with him alongside his other Pokémon Dracovish then speaks.
"Un, La!" Dracovish says while having a smile on its face, making Ash happy as he speaks.
"Thanks, Dracovish lets work hard together from now on" Ash says with Dracovish nodding. Ash then taps a Pokeball on Dracovish's head sucking the mon inside. The ball instantly dings confirming the capture, Ash smiles then speaks.
"I just caught a Dracovish!" Ash cheers along with his Pokémon who all let out a happy roar. After that Ash and Leaf bring out their Dracovish and Arctozolt the 2 mons look at them having smiles on their faces as Ash speaks.
"Let's do our best together Dracovish" Ash says with Dracovish nodding as it begins to gently bite on Ash's head causing him to laugh. Leaf looks at her shiny Arctozolt then speaks.
"Thank you for joining me Arctozolt" Leaf says while giving Arctozolt a hug with the mon returning it Ash then speaks.
"Geez Dracovish your jaw's pretty strong I wonder just how strong it is" Ash says as Seymore speaks.
"Why not try it out in a battle?" Seymore suggests. Ash looks at him, he smiles and speaks.
"Yeah, you're right hey Leaf let's have a battle between my Dracovish and your Arctozolt" Ash says while looking at Leaf. Leaf looks at Ash smiles and speaks.
"Sure, let's do it!" Leaf says with an excited look as Brock and Misty speak.
"We'll join too" The two say causing Ash and Leaf to look at them as Ash speaks.
"Cool we'll make this a tag battle it'll be me and Brock against Leaf and Misty" Ash says with the 3 nodding. After that Brock along with Misty called their families to switch out their Pokémon. Brock sent Golem back and got Arctozolt while Misty sent Slowpoke back and got Arctovish on her team. When that's done the 4 trainers take their positions with the boys on one side and the girls on the other. All of Ash's Pokémon along with the 5 Pokémon Brock has on hand are all behind their trainers watching the battle as Ash speaks.
"Let's do this Brock" Ash says with Brock nodding they then look back at their two fossils then speak.
"Dracovish I choose you!" "Let's do this Arctozolt!" Ash and Brock say as the two mons walk on the battlefield and get into battle stances. Ash's and Brock's Pokémon begin to cheer for them as we go to the girl's side. All of Leaf's Pokémon along with the 6 Pokémon Misty has on hand are all behind them watching the battle too. Leaf then looks at Misty and speaks.
"Let's win Misty" Leaf says with Misty nodding as she speaks.
"Yeah, let's show Ash and Brock that we're stronger" Misty responds with Leaf nodding the 2 girls look at their fossils then speak.
"Go! Arctovish!" "Let's do this Arctozolt!" Misty and Leaf say as the two mons go on the battlefield and get into battle stances. The 4 fossils look at each other having serious looks on their faces waiting for the battle to start. We then see Daisy walk over taking the referee position while Oak, Seymore, and Cara Liss are off to the side watching the battle. When Daisy makes it, she speaks.
"This is a 1v1 tag battle between Misty and Leaf vs Ash and Brock. All 4 trainers are allowed to only use one Pokémon whichever side defeats all of their opponents Pokémon first will be declared the winner!" Daisy says with the 4 trainers nodding as she continues to speak.
"Now with all of that out of the way let the battle begin!" Daisy says as Ash speaks.
"We'll attack first Dracovish use Water Gun on Arctovish!" Ash calls Dracovish quickly fires the stream of water it heads for Arctovish as Misty speaks.
"Arctovish knock it away!" Misty calls Arctovish nods as it spins around and easily destroys the Water Gun with its tail Brock then speaks.
"Arctozolt use Thunderbolt!" Brock calls Arctozolt roars it quickly sparks its body and fires the stream of electricity. It heads for Arctovish going to hit it as Leaf speaks.
"Arctozolt counter with your Thunderbolt!" Leaf calls her Arctozolt quickly sparks up its body and fires the move colliding with Brock's Arctozolts Thunderbolt creating an explosion. From the smoke appears Dracovish it heads for Arctovish and has its mouth opened as Ash speaks.
"Dracovish use Crunch!" "Arctovish block with Protect!" Both trainers call Dracovish covers its teeth in dark energy and goes to bite down on Arctovish. But Arctovish quickly summons a protective barrier blocking the attack. As Dracovish continues to bite down on the barrier it begins to crack surprising Misty and Arctovish off to the side Oak speaks.
"Interesting its ability must be Strong Jaw" Oak says with Seymore and Cara Liss nodding. Back on the battlefield Dracovish continues to bite the barrier as Ash speaks.
"Yeah! Dracovish keep going until you break it!" Ash cheers along with his Pokémon. Dracovish hears the cheers and begins biting down harder on the Protect making it crack more. As the protective barrier's about to fully break Leaf speaks.
"Arctozolt quick use Thunderbolt!" "Dracovish dodge!" Ash and Leaf call. Leaf's Arctozolt quickly fires the electric bolt it heads for Dracovish but the fossilized fish quickly jumps away dodging the attack. When Dracovish lands it sees Leaf's Arctozolt running towards it while covering its body in electricity as Leaf speaks.
"Now Wild Charge!" Leaf calls Arctozolt roars its body is fully covered in electricity as it's about to hit Dracovish Brock speaks.
"Arctozolt get in front of Dracovish and use Hyper Voice to push Leaf's Arctozolt back!" Brock calls his Arctozolt quickly jumps over getting in front of Dracovish. Brock's Arctozolt looks at Leaf's Arctozolt heading towards them it quickly takes a deep breath and launches a loud sound that stops Leaf's Arctozolt in its tracks. Leaf's Arctozolt begins to groan in pain as Ash speaks.
"Dracovish use Crunch on Leaf's Arctozolt!" Ash calls Dracovish quickly runs forward, it covers its teeth in dark energy and goes to bite down on Leaf's Arctozolt as Misty speaks.
"Arctovish quick use Hydro Pump!" Misty calls Arctovish stands upward and shoots out a large stream of water from its mouth that hits Dracovish pushing it away. Dracovish also hits Brock's Arctozolt making both mons fall on the ground groaning in pain. Leaf thanks Misty with the red head nodding as Leaf calls for her next command.
"Okay Arctozolt use Thunder on Dracovish!" Leaf calls her Arctozolt roars to the sky and summons a large bolt of electricity that heads for Dracovish as Brock speaks.
"Arctozolt quick block the Thunder!" Brock calls his Arctozolt quickly stands up it pushes Dracovish out of the way and lets the large bolt crash down on it. A couple seconds later when the Thunder disappears Brocks Arctozolt glows green as its body heals surprising Misty and Leaf as Seymore speaks.
"Looks like Brocks Arctozolt has the Volt Absorb ability which heals the damage it took before whenever it gets hit by an electric move." Seymore says with Oak and Cara Liss nodding. Back on the battlefield Brock looks at Arctozolt and speaks.
"Great job Arctozolt!" Brock cheers with his Arctozolt nodding Brock then looks at Ash and speaks.
"Ash focus on attacking Arctovish and I'll keep Leaf's Arctozolt busy" Brock says with Ash nodding he then looks at Dracovish and speaks.
"Okay Dracovish we're going after Arctovish now run forward!" Ash calls Dracovish roars it begins running forward heading for Arctovish as Leaf speaks.
"Arctozolt quick use Thunderbolt!" Leaf calls her Arctozolt quickly fires the electric bolt as Brock speaks.
"Arctozolt intercept it!" Brock calls his Arctozolt quickly gets in front of the Thunderbolt and blocks the attack making Leaf grit her teeth while Brock smiles. Meanwhile Dracovish continues to run towards Arctovish as Misty speaks.
"Arctovish blow it away with Hydro Pump!" "Dracovish dodge and keep running!" Misty and Ash call Arctovish fires the large stream of water but Dracovish dodges. Arctovish continues to fire multiple Hydro Pumps, but Dracovish continues to dodge and also bites down on a Hydro Pump easily destroying it. Dracovish's getting closer, it gets its teeth ready as Ash speaks.
"Now Dracovish use Crunch!" "Arctovish dodge!" Ash and Misty call before Arctovish can dodge Dracovish makes it, it quickly covers its teeth in dark energy and bites down hard on Arctovish.
"Vish!" Arctovish cries out in pain as Ash speaks.
"Yeah! great job Dracovish and keep biting!" Ash cheers along with his Pokemon and Brock's Pokemon. As Dracovish continues to bite Arctovish Misty smirks then speaks.
"Nice try Ash but you just made a big mistake" Misty says making Ash confused as Misty speaks.
"Arctovish use Blizzard!" Misty calls surprising Ash as he speaks.
"Dracovish quick dodge!" "Too late fire Arctovish!" Ash and Misty call. Arctovish roars as it summons a powerful blizzard that consumes Dracovish sending it flying. Brock and his Arctozolt have surprised looks on their faces as Leaf speaks.
"Hey, you should focus on me Arctozolt you use Blizzard too!" Leaf calls before Brock can make a command Leaf's Arctozolt roars as it also summons a large Blizzard that hits Brock's Arctozolt making it go flying. Brock's Arctozolt and Ash's Dracovish then crash into each other and fall on the ground groaning in pain as Misty and Leaf speak.
"Now Arctovish use Hydro Pump!" "Arctozolt use Stone Edge!" Both girls call their Pokémon roar as they fire their moves.
"Dodge!" Ash and Brock call when the two mons are about to dodge, they notice that their legs are frozen making them unable to move. Ash and Brock have surprised looks on their faces while Misty and Leaf speak.
"GO!" Both girls yell as the Hydro Pump and Stone Edge hit Dracovish and Brock's Arctozolt. The two mons cry out in pain as they're sent flying until they crash below Ash and Brock's feet. The 2 mons try to stand back up but ultimately stay down as Daisy speaks.
"Ash's Dracovish and Brock's Arctozolt are unable to battle Misty's Arctovish and Leaf's Arctozolt are the victors. Seeing as Ash and Brock have no more Pokémon left this means that Misty and Leaf are the winners!" Daisy says Misty and Leaf get smiles on their faces and cheer.
"WE DID IT!" The two girls let out a loud cheer and high five each other as their Pokemon cheer too. Misty and Leaf then run over to Arctovish and Arctozolt respectively. When they make it, they look at their Pokemon as Misty speaks.
"You were amazing Arctovish thank you!" Misty says happily, as her Vaporeon, Golisopod, Psyduck, Sobble, Quaxly, and Togepi congratulate Arctovish too making the fossil fish happy as Leaf speaks.
"You did amazing too Arctozolt!" Leaf says while giving the mon a hug. All of Leaf's other Pokémon congratulate Arctozolt too making the mon happy. Ash, Brock, along with their Pokémon all have surprised looks on their faces as they weren't expecting to lose. Ash and Brock let out a sigh then walk over to Dracovish and Arctozolt respectively. When they make it over, they look at their Pokemon as Brock speaks.
"Hey Arctozolt, are you okay?" Brock asks with the mon nodding and telling Brock sorry as the teen speaks.
"It's okay Arctozolt you did your best and I'm proud" Brock says with a smile on his face. Brock's Onix, Vulpix, Croagunk, Kangaskan, and Lycanroc walk over telling Arctozolt good job. Arctozolt looks at them and smiles saying thank you Brock then helps the mon stand back up. We now go to Ash; he's made it to Dracovish the fossil fish looks at Ash and tells him sorry as Ash speaks.
"It's okay Dracovish even though you lost your first battle you did great, and this loss will only make us stronger. So, let's keep training and continue to grow stronger together" Ash says while all his other Pokémon roar in agreement. Dracovish looks at them then smiles, making Ash happy as he helps the mon stand back up. After that Misty, Leaf, along with their Arctovish and Arctozolt run over when they make it, they stop as Misty speaks.
"Hey guys great battle" Misty says as Leaf speaks.
"Yeah, it was fun" Leaf says as Brock speaks.
"We had fun too" Brock says as Ash speaks.
"I agree but next time we're going to win right guys!" Ash says in confidence as all of his Pokémon roar in agreement Misty and Leaf smile then speak.
"We'll see about that!" The two girls say also having confident looks as all of their Pokémon roar in agreement too Brock then speaks.
"Now, now let's all calm down" Brock says with the 3 trainers nodding as they all laugh. Off to the side we see Oak, Seymore, and Cara Liss. They all have smiles on their faces as Oak speaks.
"That was a good battle" Oak says as Seymore speaks.
"Yes, I agree it allowed us to get some valuable research on their Pokémon" Seymore says with Oak agreeing as Cara Liss speaks.
"I'm so happy that their fossils are so strong and healthy" Cara Liss says with tears comedically coming out of her eyes as the 2 men nod. After that Oak, Seymore, Cara Liss and, Daisy walk over to the kids and their Pokémon once they're close enough Seymore speaks.
"That was an amazing battle you 4 had" Seymore says with the 4 trainers nodding as Cara Liss speaks.
"So, what do you think of your new Pokémon?" Cara Liss asks curiously as Misty speaks.
"Oh, I absolutely love my Arctovish!" Misty responds as she begins to hug the mon making it smile, Leaf then speaks.
"I also love my Arctozolt" Leaf says making the mon happy as Brock speaks.
"I like my Arctozolt too" Brock says making his Arctozolt smile as Ash speaks.
"And I really like my Dracovish!" Ash says making Dracovish happy as it begins to gently bite on Ash's head making everyone chuckle Seymore then speaks.
"I see that's good to hear. Well then, we'll now be on our way" Seymore says with Cara Liss nodding as Ash speaks.
"You're going already?" Ash asks as Seymore speaks.
"Yes, we've finished what we came here to do" Seymore responds as Brock speaks.
"Are you heading back to your research lab in Cinnabar?" Brock asks as Seymore speaks.
"No not yet Cara Liss and I are going to take a trip to Littleroot Town in the Hoenn region to revive Ritchie's Fossilized Drake and Fish. Then once that's done, we'll go back to our labs" Seymore responds with Cara Liss nodding as Ash speaks.
"I see well in that case tell Ritchie I say hi" Ash says with Seymore nodding. Cara Liss then looks at Oak and Daisy then speaks.
"Thank you for allowing us to revive their fossils here" Cara Liss says as Oak speaks.
"You're welcome it provided great research for us" Oak says with Daisy nodding making Cara Liss happy. After that Seymore and Cara Liss leave heading for the Hoenn region. The group wave them goodbye until they can't see them anymore once that's done Oak looks at the kids then speaks.
"Now then I believe it's time to tell you the other reason why I asked you all to come here will you please follow me?" Oak asks with the kids nodding Ash then looks at his Pokémon and speaks.
"Okay guys we'll be right back!" Ash says with the Pokémon nodding. Misty's Arctovish, along with Leaf's, and Brock's Arctozolts begin to hang out with their respective trainers Pokémon. Meanwhile with Dracovish it begins to train alongside Ash's Gyarados, Tyrantrum, Krookodile, Gabite, Crocalor, and Croconaw to increase its biting power and learn some other moves too. Ash's Pikachu along with Riolu, and Froakie walk next to Ash as they all follow Prof. Oak and Daisy to the lab. Once they're inside Daisy looks at Ash and Leaf then speaks.
"Ash, Leaf would you be able to hand me your Pokedex's I believe it's time they receive an update" Daisy says with the 2 kids nodding they hand over their Pokedex's to Daisy so she can update them. Once she's gone the 4 kids look at Prof. Oak as Ash speaks.
"So, Prof. Oak what'd you want to talk with us about?" Ash asks with Misty, Leaf, and Brock wondering too as Oak speaks.
"Well, you see last night after the party before I went to bed, I received an email from a work colleague of mine named Prof. Ivy in the Orange Islands requesting help on a mysterious Pokeball" Oak responds making the 4 kids interested as Leaf speaks.
"A mysterious Pokeball? If she wants your help with it, can't she just send it over to you?" Leaf asks as Oak speaks.
"That's the thing in her email Prof. Ivy tried to transport the Pokeball but the ball doesn't transport" Oak says surprising the 4 kids as Misty speaks.
"A Pokeball that's unable to be transported? I've never heard of that before" Misty says with Oak nodding as he speaks.
"I agree I've never heard of it either, but Prof. Ivy believes that what's ever inside the Pokeball is the reason as to why the ball can't be transported" Oak responds with the group nodding as Ash speaks.
"Do we know what's inside?" Ash asks as Oak speaks.
"That's another thing Prof. Ivy along with her assistants tried opening the Pokeball but have been unable to" Oak responds with the group nodding as Brock speaks.
"A Pokeball that's unable to be transported and can't be opened it really is mysterious" Brock says with everyone nodding as Oak speaks.
"Yes, and that's why I've called you 4 here I was wondering if you'd be able to bring the ball back to me" Oak says as Misty speaks.
"Is Ms. Daisy unable to go?" Misty asks as Oak speaks.
"Unfortunately, she can't as I need her help with taking care of not only your Pokémon but also the Meltan here too" Oak says as Leaf speaks.
"What about Gary? He was here earlier also Ms. Sabrina could probably get the ball too since she can teleport." Leaf asks as Oak speaks.
"Well for Gary after he got his fossils revived and battled Daisy, he immediately left to continue his training journey, so I was unable to ask him. As for Sabrina, I did contact her but ever since she's come back to her gym there have been multiple trainers requesting battles with her and she's gained more students to help train their psychic powers so she's too busy right now" Oak responds with the 4 kids nodding as Oak continues to speak.
"So, as you can see you 4 are my only hope will you, do this for me? I'd understand if you don't of course as I'm sure you've other things you'd want to do instead" Oak says the 4 kids then begin to think about it a few seconds later Ash speaks.
"We'll do it" Ash says surprising everyone as Oak speaks.
"Are you sure Ash?" Oak asks as Ash speaks.
"Yeah, I've never been to the Orange Islands before and we're just retrieving a Pokeball for you so it shouldn't take too long. Also, there might be Pokémon there that we've never seen before" Ash says having an excited look on his face with Pikachu, Riolu, and Froakie having the same look as Misty speaks.
"I'm going too I've heard that the beaches in the Orange Islands are amazing so it could be a nice little vacation" Misty says with her Togepi, Sobble, and Quaxly agreeing Brock then speaks.
"I'm interested too but for the girls" Brock says while blushing Croagunk then appears from out of nowhere and jabs Brock stunning him making him fall over as he speaks.
"What am I not even allowed to fantasize?" Brock asks but Croagunk doesn't respond causing everyone in the room to chuckle. The last one to speak is Leaf.
"I'm going too! I'm interested in this mysterious Pokeball" Leaf says while having stars in her eyes as Oak speaks.
"That's great to hear thank you all very much" Oak says with the 4 kids nodding as Ash speaks.
"By the way which part of the Orange Islands does Prof. Ivy stay at?" Ash asks as Oak speaks.
"Oh yes that's right I forgot to mention that. Prof. Ivy lives on Valencia Island and to get there you'll need to travel by boat" Oak says with the 4 kids nodding as Brock speaks.
"Hmmm…. in my guidebook it says that the ferry will leave in about a week and it'll take us that amount of time by walking there on foot. Also, when we board it should take us a day to reach Valencia Island" Brock says with everyone nodding. Daisy then walks back into the room and speaks.
"Ash, Leaf here are your Pokedex's I've successfully updated them" Daisy says while handing the 2 kids their Pokedex's as Daisy speaks.
"I've added in new information about Meltan along with your new fossil Pokémon. I also added in data on Pokémon you might see in the Orange Islands too" Daisy says making Ash and Leaf happy as they tell Daisy thank you with her nodding as Ash speaks.
"Okay guys we've our next destination Let's go to the Orange Islands!" Ash cheers along with Misty, Brock, and Leaf as Leaf speaks.
"Oh, before we go, we should go home and get our stuff" Leaf suggests with Ash, Misty, and Brock nodding as Oak speaks.
"Oh, I don't think you need to worry about that" Oak says making the 4 kids confused. They all then head back outside to Oak's ranch when they make it, they see Delia, Rose, and Mr. Mime holding the group's backpacks. The 4 kids have surprised looks on their faces as Ash speaks.
"Mom, Ms. Green, and Mr. Mime what are you doing here?" Ash asks as Delia speaks.
"Daisy called and told us that you'll be heading out on another journey so Rose, Mr. Mime, and I have already packed your things" Delia responds with the group nodding as Leaf looks at her mom.
"Hey mom aren't you supposed to be at Indigo Plateau doing paperwork? Won't this get you in trouble?" Leaf asks as Rose speaks.
"I was but after Daisy told me that you'd be going on another journey I hurried home to get your things ready. Also, you all should've seen the look on Blue's face when I left it was priceless hehehe. I just wished I took a picture" Rose responds with Leaf nodding as Daisy speaks.
"I already talked to my father and got him to calm down but Ms. Green he did want me to tell you that when you come back, you'll have a lot more paperwork to sign" Daisy says making Rose groan causing the group to laugh as Delia speaks.
"Also, Misty and Brock we've contacted your families and already told them that you're going on another journey, and they were okay with that" Delia says making Misty and Brock happy. Rose then walks over to Leaf and speaks.
"Seeing as you're going to a place with islands, I feel you'll need some new clothes so here you go" Rose says as she hands Leaf a bag of new clothes making her happy as she speaks.
"Wow thanks mom! I'll go try these on" Leaf says as she quickly heads into the lab to change her clothes. A couple minutes later Leaf comes back out. She's now wearing a blue short sleeve shirt, a red skirt and a white hat. She looks at everyone then speaks.
"So how do I look?" Leaf asks as they all tell her that she looks great making Leaf happy as Ash speaks.
"Hey Leaf, isn't that the hat Gary got you from the Christmas party 5 years ago?" Ash asks as Leaf speaks.
"Yes, it is seeing as we're going to a tropical island, I guess my mom felt as though I needed it" Leaf responds with Rose nodding. After that Delia, Rose, and Mr. Mime hand the kids their bags. Delia then looks at Ash and speaks.
"Now Ash you better take care of not only yourself but everyone else and don't be too reckless" Delia says with Ash nodding as he speaks.
"Don't worry mom I know" Ash responds with Delia nodding she then looks at Pikachu, Riolu, and Froakie then speaks.
"Make sure Ash doesn't get himself into too much trouble" Delia says making the 3-mons nod as Ash speaks.
"Mom" Ash says while having an annoyed look on his face as Delia smiles Rose then speaks.
"Hey, I've an idea before you all go let's take a picture of you guys" Rose says as Leaf speaks.
"Great idea can our Pokémon be in the picture too?" Leaf asks with Rose nodding making Leaf, Ash, Misty, and Brock happy. The 4 kids then bring all of their Pokémon over they get together and look at Rose (with Delia, Oak, Daisy, and Mr. Mime standing next to her) who's holding a camera as she speaks.
"Alright on the count of 3 smile and say Pokémon!" Rose says with the 4 kids and their Pokémon nodding as Rose speaks.
"Okay 1… 2… 3… Pokémon!" Rose says as Ash, Misty, Brock, and Leaf speak.
"Pokémon!" The 4 kids along with their Pokémon say as Rose takes the picture. In the picture we see Ash, Misty, Brock, and Leaf standing in the middle while all of their Pokémon (the small ones are either in front of them, on their shoulders, heads, or being held in their respective trainers' arms) are behind them having smiles on their faces. After that the 4 kids say goodbye to Delia, Oak, Daisy, Rose, and Mr. Mime and begin heading to the exit of Pallet Town. We see them go through the exit of Pallet Town they continue to walk as Ash looks at Leaf and speaks.
"Hey Leaf let's have a race" Ash says making Leaf excited as she speaks.
"You're on!" Leaf says as Ash speaks.
"Alright then Go!" Ash says as he begins to sprint forward with Pikachu, Riolu, and Froakie running next to him Leaf then speaks.
"Hey that's cheating!" Leaf says as she begins chasing after them. Misty and Brock let out a sigh as Misty speaks.
"Great not only do we have to keep up with Ash but also Leaf" Misty says as Brock speaks.
"Well, we should've seen this coming" Brock says with Misty nodding she then smiles and speaks.
"Well in that case I'm not letting them beat me!" Misty says as she begins chasing after them while having Sobble on her shoulder, carrying Togepi in her arms and Quaxly is flying next to her. Meanwhile Brock looks at Misty trying to catch up to Ash and Leaf he smiles then speaks.
"Of course," Brock says as he begins to run too trying to catch up to his friends. We continue to see the group running forward, all having smiles on their faces excited for their new adventure as the chapter comes to an end.
