Chapter 47 Kanto League Training Can Gyarados Fly?
Hello everyone, this chapter will begin the training arc before the Kanto League. It'll mainly focus on Ash training his Pokemon and he'll have a battle with Leaf I hope you all enjoy!
The chapter begins 3 days after the last one ended. During the past 3 days Ash has spent his time in Oak's ranch training all of his Pokemon making sure they're ready for the league. All of his Pokemon have been training together making sure to perfect everything they haven't perfected yet. Misty and Brock's Pokemon have also been training alongside Ash's Pokemon helping them train for the Kanto league. Misty's water Pokemon train with Ash's water types while Brock's Pokemon train with a good portion of Ash's other Pokemon. Vulpix trains with Ninetales along with Ash's fire types, Golbat trains with the flying types, Klawf trains with Kingler and Heracross, Croagunk and Sandslash train with the fighting types, Lycanroc and Nacil train with the rock types, Kangaskan trains with Clefable, Golem trains with the electric types and Brock's Onix trains with Ash's Gyarados and Charizard. Brock's Shieldon is still young, so it doesn't help with the training, but it has been starting to open up more to the groups Pokemon making Brock happy. All of Ash's Pokemon are improving and becoming stronger especially Riolu and Froakie.
Even though they only hatched 3 days ago Riolu and Froakie have proven to be strong Pokemon. During the past 3 days Riolu's been training with Ash's other fighting types, at first Riolu had trouble against them but as it continued to train with them it started to improve and is able to hold its own against them. Froakie's also the same it trains with Ash's water types it had trouble at first but like Riolu it started to improve as well becoming stronger. Riolu and Froakie are still not able to defeat Ash's more experienced Pokemon but they don't mind as they love the challenge. Riolu and Froakie also spend a lot of time with Ash too they sometimes go to Delia's house to sleep with him, and they also have the same eating habits as Ash which surprised everyone. Riolu can also be pretty hot headed she sometimes starts fights with other Pokemon at the ranch, so Froakie has to come and calm Riolu down. We now zoom in on Ash's Pokemon training together we see Riolu along with Froakie training with Litten, Rockruff, Treeko, Pawnaird and Darumaka. Riolu jumps forward it goes to strike Litten as it yells.
"Rio!" Riolu yells as it tries to hit Litten with Force Palm but the fire cat backs away dodging the attack making Riolu hit the ground. Litten then fires a Flamethrower at Riolu the aura puppy quickly backs away dodging the move as the flamethrower is going to hit Froakie the frog puts its hands together and speaks.
"Fro!" Froakie yells as it fires a Water Pulse it collides with the Flamethrower creating an explosion. From the explosion comes Treeko the grass gecko goes to hit Froakie with Iron Tail but the frog dodges by moving to the side. Froakie then goes to hit Treeko with Pound, but the grass gecko notices and fires an energy ball forcing Froakie to block making it skid back. Froakie looks at the grass gecko and smiles with Treeko smiling as well the two then charge at each other as they're about to collide they see Darumaka and Pawnaird fire an Ice beam and Air Slash respectively towards them. Treeko and Froakie narrowly dodge in time they look at Darumaka and Pawnaird they see the two-mons head towards them but before they reach them, they hear Rockruff bark.
"Arf!" Rockruff barks it stomps its feet on the ground summoning a Stone Edge. The sharp rocks head toward the 4-mons forcing them to jump out of the way. Rockruff quickly runs forward going to attack them but out of the corner of its eye it sees an Aura Sphere heading towards it Rockruff narrowly dodges the move. Rockruff then turns to its left it sees Riolu having a smile on its face Rockruff smiles too, the two mons then jump at each other. Riolu uses Force Palm while Rockruff uses Tackle the two mons collide creating an explosion forcing them to skid back, Rockruff and Riolu then see Litten, Froakie, Treeko, Darumaka and Pawnaird. The 7-mons stare at each other before they all charge and collide continuing their training with each other Ash looks at them having a smile on his face Misty and Brock walk over to him as Misty speaks.
"They're really giving it their all" Misty says as Brock speaks.
"Looks like Riolu and Froakie are keeping up with them" Brock says with Ash nodding as he speaks.
"Yeah, it's only been 3 days since they hatched and they've already gotten strong" Ash says with Misty and Brock nodding they continue to watch the 7-mons train they see them fire a Flamethrower, Stone Edge, Bullet Seed, Aura Sphere, Water Pulse, Ice beam and Air Slash respectively at each other creating an explosion as Ash speaks.
"They're not the only ones training hard the rest of my Pokemon are giving it their all too" Ash says as he Misty and Brock look around; they see all of Ash's Pokémon training together. Pidgeot along with Corvisquire, Flygon, Noibat, Noctowl, Scyther, Gengar and Rowlet are flying through the air currently having a sky battle. Venusaur's training Grookey and Sprigatito. Hitmonlee, Primeape, Hawlucha,Farfetch'd, Heracross, Boldore, Tauros Lee, Aqua and Blaze are battling each other. Ninetales, Clefable, Tinkatuff, Dunsparce and Snorunt are training together, Palpitoad, Wartortle, Kingler, Krokorok, Gible, Totodile, Fuecoco and Tyrunt are battling each other too. Growlithe, Shinx, Litleo, Charcadet, Raichu, Muk and Pikachu are training together. Lastly Charizard and Gyarados are battling each other too with Dratini watching, Charizard and Gyarados roar as they collide using Thunder Punch and Waterfall respectively. The two mons send out a big shockwave creating a big wind that almost blows away Ash's other Pokemon but they continue to train. Dratini is amazed by Charizard's and Gyarados's power making it more excited to become stronger Misty then speaks.
"Seems like those two are giving it their all-in training as well" Misty says with Ash and Brock nodding they continue to watch Ash's Pokémon train with each other we close in on Pikachu's group there's an explosion we see the 7-mons skid back from each other as Pikachu speaks.
"Pika!" Pikachu yells firing a Thunderbolt while Raichu counters with her own. The two electric bolts collide and explode, Pikachu then charges at Raichu using Wild Charge. Raichu's about to use Psychic to stop Pikachu but it turns around and sees a Dark Pulse heading towards it. Raichu quickly moves out of the way the Dark Pulse keeps going as it collides with Pikachu making the Yellow mouse skid back. Pikachu and Raichu look at who fired the Dark Pulse and see Muk as it now fires multiple sludge bombs at them. Raichu quickly uses Psychic to catch the Sludge Bombs and sends them back at Muk, the sludge monster easily dodges it then sees Pikachu jumping towards it having its tail covered in steel energy.
"Pika!" "Muk!" Pikachu and Muk yell as they collide with an Iron Tail and Poison Jab respectively. They begin to push each other back, but they see a Flamethrower and Stone Edge heading towards them. Pikachu and Muk break away from each other, they turn their heads and see Charcadet and Growlithe running towards them using Flame Charge. Pikachu runs forward using Wild Charge colliding with Charcadet while Muk uses Focus Blast to try and hit Growlithe but the fire puppy dodges by moving to the side. As Growlithe is about to hit Muk the Sludge monster senses a Psychic heading towards it Muk quickly moves out of the way as the Psychic catches Growlithe instead stopping its advances. Growlithe looks forward and sees Raichu sparking up its cheeks firing a Thunderbolt Growlithe quickly uses Crunch to destroy the Psychic and safely dodges the Thunderbolt.
When Growlithe lands on the ground it along with Muk and Raichu stare at each other the 3-mons roar firing a Stone Edge, Sludge Bomb and Thunder respectively creating an explosion. We then see Shinx and Litleo battling each other Litleo goes for a Fire Fang as Shinx dodges. The electric cat then fires a Thunderbolt at Litleo but the fire cub dodges and roars.
"Leo!" Litleo roars as it covers its body in fire and charges towards Shinx using Flame Charge.
"Shinx!" Shinx roars as well covering its body in electricity using Wild Charge it runs forward and collides with Litleo the two mons begin to try and push the other back as we now go to the group of Totodile, Gible, Tyrunt and Fuecoco.
"Gible!" Gible roars as it charges at the other 3 using Rock Smash but the 3-mons dodge. Totodile then fires a Hydro Pump at Gible notices it quickly brings up its arms and easily blocks the Hydro Pump. Gible then looks to its left and sees Tyrunt running over going to bite it with Crunch, Gible quickly jumps in the air dodging Tyrunt's attack. Fuecoco then hits Tyrunt in the face with Take Down making the T-rex skid back Tyrunt stops itself it looks at Fuecoco and roars.
"TY!" Tyrunt roars as it fires a Rock Tomb at Fuecoco. The fire croc does its best to dodge but gets hit by a couple of the Rock's. Fuecoco groans from the pain it then looks at both sides it sees a Hydro Pump and Dragon Pulse heading towards it Fuecoco quickly backs away allowing the two beams to collide creating an explosion. Fuecoco then sees Totodile and Gible collide using Aqua Tail and Rock Smash respectively. Fuecoco is about to jump in but is then blindsided by Tyrunt who uses Strength knocking Fuecoco into a nearby tree. Fuecoco groans from the pain but then stands back up it looks at Tyrunt with Tyrunt looking back at it.
We come back to Pikachu's group, we see Shinx and Litleo back away from each other the two cats then see multiple Sludge Bombs heading towards them. They both jump in the air dodging Muk's attack as they're about to fire a Thunderbolt and Flamethrower at the sludge monster they then feel psychic energy around their bodies. They look back and see Raichu smirking before they can break out Raichu slams them both back on the ground doing damage to them. As Raichu is about to attack them Pikachu quickly fires a Thunderbolt at Raichu making it stop its advances. Raichu then sees Pikachu run towards it using Wild Charge, Raichu flies forward also using Wild Charge the two electric mouse Pokemon collide. They begin to try and push each other back, but they then see two Flamethrowers heading towards them, Pikachu and Raichu quickly break away from each other allowing the Flamethrowers to pass by. The two-mouse look and see Charcadet and Growlithe, before Pikachu and Raichu can counter they feel Muk's presence.
Pikachu and Raichu look behind and see Muk looking at them it has both of its hands raised up. Muk goes to hit the two mice with Poison Jab but Pikachu and Raichu quickly jump in the air dodging the attack. When they do, they're then hit by Charcadet and Growlithe who're using Flame Charge making both mons hit the ground. Pikachu and Raichu look at the 3 mons with the 3-mons looking at them they all charge forward and continue to battle. Meanwhile with Litleo and Shinx they're still laying on the ground groaning in pain as they look at their teammates training. Wanting to continue too Litleo and Shinx begin to try standing back up. We cut back to Tyrunt and Fuecoco Tyrunt roars it runs forward going to bite Fuecoco with Crunch. Fuecoco looks at the incoming Tyrunt as it's about to bite it Fuecoco along with Litleo and Shinx yell.
"FUE!" "SHINX!" "LEO!" The 3-mons yell as they're covered in a bright white shocking everyone forcing the other Pokemon to stop battling Tyrunt stops its advances to bite Fuecoco as it along with Totodile and Gible look at it as Ash speaks.
"They're evolving!" Ash says having an excited look on his face. Everyone looks at the 3 mons they see them get bigger and change. Fuecoco grows 2 feet taller and has what seems like a nest on its head. Shinx gets a foot and a few inches taller growing black hair on its head and its tail becomes longer. Litleo grows 2 feet and 11 inches taller and forms a fiery mane. When the evolutions stop what were once Fuecoco, Shinx and Litleo now stand Crocalor, Luxio and Pyroar. The 3 mons give a mighty roar shocking everyone Ash then takes out his Pokedex to scan the 3 mons.
"Crocalor The Croc Pokemon a Fire Type. The combination of Crocalor's fire energy and overflowing vitality has caused an egg-shaped fireball to appear on the Pokémon's head." "Luxio The Spark Pokemon an Electric Type. and the evolved form of Shinx. Luxio's sharp claws conduct electricity, and the slightest scratch can knock out an opponent." "Pyroar The Royal Pokemon a Fire/Normal Type. Pyroar's mane, which is made of fire, becomes larger when it gets excited." The Pokedex says everyone looks at the 3 mons as Misty speaks.
"I can't believe they evolved" Misty says having a shocked expression on her face as Brock speaks.
"Well with all of the training they've been doing it shouldn't be too surprising" Brock says with Misty nodding as Ash speaks.
"Crocalor, Luxio and Pyroar the 3 of you look cool! Congratulations on evolving!" Ash says as the 3 mons look at their trainer and smile. The other Pokemon walk over to them congratulating them on their evolution making the 3-mons happy as everyone hear Daisy's voice.
"Ash, Misty, Brock it's time for lunch!" Daisy says the group look at her they see her pulling a cart that has a lot of Pokemon food on it the 3 trainers nod Ash looks at his Pokemon and speaks.
"Okay guys that's enough training for now let's have some lunch!" Ash says with his Pokemon roaring in agreement. After that Ash, Misty, Brock and Daisy each give the Pokemon their own food bowl allowing the Pokemon to relax and eat. The trainers along with Daisy and Oak go to a nearby table to have their lunch too they sit down and begin to eat.
20 minutes later everyone has finished eating currently Ash's Pokemon are taking a break from training and are either, playing or sleeping Ash then speaks.
"Prof. Oak and Ms. Daisy thank you for taking care of my Pokemon" Ash says as Oak speaks.
"It's no problem, Ash we both love your Pokemon and they also help with our research" The old man responds Daisy nods and speaks.
"Yeah, and even though they can be a bit rowdy it's always lively here and the other Pokemon at the ranch enjoy their company" Daisy says with Ash nodding the group look at Ash's Pokemon and see some of them playing/interacting with the wild/other trainers Pokemon who live in the ranch making the humans happy. Misty then looks at Ash's Gyarados she sees it doing something as Misty speaks.
"Hey Ash, what's your Gyarados doing?" Misty asks the humans look at Gyarados they see it continuously jumping high in the air then falling back down making the humans confused as Ash speaks.
"I'm not sure let's go ask it" Ash says with the others nodding as they walk over to Gyarados. When they make it, they see Gyarados jump in the air again, but it falls back down Ash looks at the sea serpent and speaks.
"Gyarados what's wrong why are you continuously jumping up and down?" Ash asks Gyarados looks at his trainer and begins to tell Ash. The boy doesn't understand at first, but Pikachu walks over and begins to explain what Gyarados said to Ash with Ash nodding as Daisy speaks.
"What did Pikachu say Ash?" Daisy asks as Ash speaks.
"The reason why Gyarados continues to jump up and down is because it's trying to fly" Ash responds surprising the 4 humans as Misty speaks.
"Gyarados is trying to fly? I don't think that's possible" Misty says as Brock speaks.
"Even though Gyarados is part flying in theory it should be able to fly but I've never heard or seen a Gyarados fly before" Brock says as Oak speaks.
"Hmmm…. I think I might've read about Gyarados flying before" The old man says surprising the group as Ash speaks.
"Really Professor?!" Ash asks as Oak speaks.
"Yes, but I don't remember where" Oak responds as Daisy speaks.
"I believe it might be one of the books in your library" Daisy says Oak nods as he speaks.
"I think you're right Daisy, I believe it was a book about the ancient Hisui Region" Oak says with Daisy nodding as Ash speaks.
"Can we go look for it?" Ash asks Oak nods and speaks.
"Yes, come on it's this way" Oak says the gang then go to Oak's lab to search for the book.
30 minutes later the gang is inside Oak's library there're many books during the past 30 minutes the 5 humans along with Pikachu, Sobble, Quaxly and Togepi have been searching for the book but haven't found it, yet Misty then speaks.
"Ah! We've been at this for 30 minutes are you sure it's in here?" Misty asks in frustration as Oak speaks.
"I'm sure it is I remember reading it in here 2 months ago when Ash captured his Hisuian Growlithe" Oak responds with Misty nodding as Daisy speaks.
"I told you we should've organized these books better" Daisy says Oak nods as everyone continues to search for the book Ash's Growlithe comes in it begins to sniff the room until it reaches a shelf it looks at the humans and speaks.
"Growl, Growl!" The fire puppy says catching everyone's attention they walk over to Growlithe as Ash speaks.
"Are you saying the book is in this shelf Growlithe?" Ash asks Growlithe nods, the 5 humans then start searching in the shelf pulling out many books. Ash then sees something in the far back; he reaches in with his hand and pulls it out. When he does Ash wipes down the book but coughs as there was a lot of dust on it, when the dust clears Ash looks at the book title it says, "History of the Hisui Region" Ash then looks at Oak and speaks.
"Is this the book Professor?" Ash asks as everyone looks at Ash the old man smiles, he walks over to Ash and speaks.
"Why yes, it is" Oak says happily making everyone smile Ash hands the old man the book as Ash bends down he looks at Growlithe and speaks.
"Good job Growlithe" Ash says while petting the fire puppy making Growlithe happy. As Oak is flipping through the pages, he finds the page he's looking for and speaks.
"Here it is it's this page" The old man says everyone gets close to Oak as they see old drawings of Gyarados the old man then speaks.
"In the book it says long ago in ancient Hisui a man was climbing a tall mountain to find medicine for his sick child, as he was climbing his foot slipped causing him to fall. As he was falling suddenly something caught him. The man looks and sees that it was a Gyarados flying through the air, the man was surprised and asked if the Gyarados can help him reach the top. The Gyarados nods the sea serpent flew all the way to the top of the mountain allowing the man to find the medicine he needed for his child. After that his child made a great recovery, the man thanked the Gyarados as the sea serpent flew back in the air disappearing in the clouds" Oak says surprising the kids as Ash speaks.
"So, it's true Gyarados can fly" Ash says as Brock speaks.
"I wonder what made them stop?" Brock questions as Daisy speaks.
"Well during that time in Hisui Pokemon were viewed as dangerous creatures so the people at the time decided to hunt down the flying Gyarados as even though the Gyarados would keep to themselves the humans knew the destructive power they possess. As time went on the humans created more civilization destroying the Gyarados's homes and hunting them which forced the Gyarados to stay in the water to escape the humans. But while the water was safer it made the Gyarados forget how to fly." Daisy says with the group nodding they're disgusted that the humans of the past did that, but they do understand why Ash then speaks.
"Well in that case I'll make my Gyarados be the first one to fly in modern time" Ash says having a determined look on his face the others nod as Misty speaks.
"Does the book say how Gyarados were able to fly in the first place?" Misty asks as Oak speaks.
"Unfortunately, it doesn't but my guess is that they had help from the other flying types during that time" Oak responds with the group nodding as Ash speaks.
"Okay then in that case I'll have my flying Pokemon help teach Gyarados how to fly" Ash says as Misty speaks.
"Are you sure Ash? Because unlike your other Pokemon that can fly naturally Gyarados doesn't have wings, isn't a ghost and doesn't have psychic powers" Misty asks as Ash speaks.
"We'll think of something come on let's go!" Ash responds with the others nodding, when they all head out of the room Prof. Oak accidentally drops the book. Growlithe notices as it goes to pick up the book Growlithe sees that the page has changed and sees something that interests it.
Meanwhile, outside the ranch the group is back with Gyarados during the past 30 minutes the sea serpent has been trying to fly but has failed Ash looks at Gyarados and speaks.
"Hey Gyarados, we were able to find the book and learned that the Gyarados in ancient times used to fly but over time their bodies forgot so we're going to make your body remember that feeling" Ash says with Gyarados nodding as Brock speaks.
"What's your plan Ash?" Brock asks as Ash speaks.
"Simple I'll call for my other Pokemon that can fly to come help" Ash responds when he says that in an instant Charizard, Pidgeot, Corvisquire, Noctowl, Flygon, Noibat, Gengar, Raichu, Heracross, Rowlet, Scyther, Clefable and Hawlucha all appear shocking everyone Ash looks at Brock and Daisy then speaks.
"Brock, Ms. Daisy can you bring out Golbat and Aerodactyl" Ash asks with the both of them nodding they grab their Pokeball's and speak.
"Come out Golbat!" "Go Aerodactyl!" Brock and Daisy say sending out their Pokemon when they appear they roar and join Ash's Pokemon Ash looks at them and speaks.
"Okay guys Gyarados has been struggling to learn how to fly will you help it?" Ash asks with the mons nodding making Gyarados happy as Misty speaks.
"Okay Ash so how are they going to help?" Misty asks as Ash speaks.
"For now, we'll just watch" Ash responds with Misty nodding the humans look forward and see the mons interact with each other thinking up a plan for how Gyarados can fly, 2 minutes later they've come up with a plan and the training begins. Charizard walks over to Gyarados telling the sea serpent to use Bounce to jump in the air, Pidgeot flies over and tells Gyarados when it's in the air it'll need to try to hold itself up there. Gyarados nods and uses the move it glows blue jumping high in the air when it does it tries to stay in the air by floating. After a minute of staying in the air Gyarados is about to fall but before it does Gengar, Noctowl, Clefable (using Psychic on itself to fly) and Raichu appear they all use Psychic to hold Gyarados in place. The 4 mons tell Gyarados to keep using Bounce while they're using Psychic so Gyarados can stay in the air, get a feel for how to fly and when it starts to fall again, they'll catch him. Gyarados nods it glows blue activating Bounce again Gengar, Noctowl, Clefable and Raichu stop using Psychic allowing for Gyarados to fly by itself. While Gyarados is flying in the air Charizard, Pidgeot, Corvisquire, Flygon, Noibat, Hawlucha, Heracross, Scyther, Rowlet, Brock's Golbat and Daisy's Aerodactyl appear flying next to Gyarados giving the sea serpent words of encouragement.
Gyarados looks at his friends and smiles, but it then loses its concentration making it start to fall again shocking everyone. Gengar, Noctowl, Clefable and Raichu quickly use Psychic to grab Gyarados bringing it back to the air. The 4 mons tell Gyarados to concentrate with Gyarados nodding saying sorry. After that the training continues Gyarados is able to stay in the air for longer using Bounce but only for 5 minutes. After 5 minutes Gyarados starts to fall making Gengar, Noctowl, Clefable and Raichu catch Gyarados before it hits the ground. The process keeps repeating itself over and over again until 1-hour passes.
It's been an hour since the training started while Gyarados continues to fly in the air its body starts to remember how to fly. This means that Gyarados starts to have to rely less on Bounce in order to keep it in the air Ash's other Pokemon came to watch Gyarados fly in the air too. Everyone looks at Gyarados happily flying alongside the other Pokemon the humans and Ash's other Pokemon all have smiles on their faces as Misty speaks.
"I can't believe it Gyarados is actually flying" Misty says as Brock speaks.
"It looks like having the other flying types help Gyarados was a good idea Ash" Brock says with Ash nodding as he looks at his Pokemon flying he smiles and speaks.
"Yeah, that's it Gyarados!" Ash cheers with his other Pokemon cheering on the sea serpent Gyarados looks at its trainer and friends and smiles at them. When he does Gyarados loses his concentration and starts to fall again shocking everyone. Gengar, Noctowl, Clefable and Raichu quickly go to catch Gyarados again, but the sea serpent roars at them telling them not to help with the 4-mons nodding as Brock speaks.
"This is bad if Gyarados continues to fall from that height it's going to really hurt itself" Brock says as Misty speaks.
"Ash quick return Gyarados before it hits the ground!" Misty says as Ash speaks.
"No" Ash responds as Misty speaks.
"What do you mean "No"? if Gyarados continues to fall it's really going to hurt itself!" Misty yells in anger Ash looks at her and speaks.
"I know but that won't happen because I know Gyarados will be able to pull itself back up" Ash responds having a determined look on his face as he along with his other Pokemon continue to look at the falling Gyarados. Misty and Brock nod, they look forward and begin to believe in Gyarados too they see Gyarados falling getting closer to the ground. Everyone has nervous expressions on their faces watching Gyarados fall in his mind Ash speaks.
"Come on Gyarados" Ash says to himself he continues to look forward as Gyarados is about to hit the ground the sea serpent lets out a mighty roar as it's able to lift itself back up in the air and avoids hitting the ground. Everyone looks in the sky they see Gyarados flying high in the air reaching the other Pokemon in the sky in an instant Gyarados lets out a massive roar everyone smiles as Ash speaks.
"YOU DID IT GYARADOS!" Ash cheers along with his Pokemon as Misty speaks.
"Thank goodness I was getting nervous" Misty says as Brock speaks.
"Yeah, me too but it worked as Gyarados is now able to fly in the air without the use of Bounce" Brock says with the others nodding as Oak speaks.
"Simply amazing we've just witnessed history in the making" Oak says with Daisy agreeing as Ash speaks.
"YEAH, GYARADOS YOU ROCK!" Ash cheers along with his other Pokemon Gyarados has a big smile on its face but the sea serpent feels exhausted its panting heavily and starts to fall to the ground again but this time much faster causing everyone to yell.
"AAAHHHH!" Everyone yells in horror with their eyes comedically coming out of their sockets. Gengar, Noctowl, Clefable and Raichu try to stop Gyarados with Psychic but are unable to as Gyarados is falling too fast. Charizard, Pidgeot and Flygon along with the other flying types quickly fly down going as fast as they can to try and grab Gyarados before it hits the ground. Gyarados's eyes grow wide in fear too it tries to fly back up but can't as it's too exhausted Gyarados looks at the ground getting closer and closer. The sea serpent closes its eyes bracing itself for the impact a few seconds later Gyarados feels as though it hasn't hit the ground, it opens its eyes and sees that the ground is just inches away from its face. Gyarados looks up and sees that Charizard, Pidgeot and Flygon are holding onto its tail keeping it afloat. Gyarados thanks its teammates with the 3-mons nodding they then safely put Gyarados back on the ground when they do the other flying Pokemon join them they all land on the ground and begin to pant. The humans along with Ash's other Pokemon breathe a sigh of relief and are happy Gyarados made it down safely Oak then speaks.
"That almost gave me a heart attack" The old man says with the others nodding as Brock speaks.
"Looks like Gyarados hasn't mastered flying quite yet" Brock says everyone nods as Ash speaks.
"It may not have mastered flying yet, but we've completed the first step" Ash says with the others nodding they then see all of Ash's Pokemon gathering around Gyarados congratulating it on flying. Gyarados looks at its friends telling them thank you Charizard then looks at Gyarados telling it when it masters flying, they'll have intense sky battles with the other flying types agreeing. Gyarados smiles telling them that it's looking forward to it Gyarados and Charizard then fist bump (Gyarados using its head and Charizard using its hand), Dratini has stars in her eyes she's amazed that Gyarados was able to learn how to fly and hopes to fly one day as well. 10 minutes later everyone's still pretty exhausted Ash looks at his Pokemon and speaks.
"Okay I think that's enough excitement for one day we'll continue training tomorrow" Ash says with his Pokemon nodding as they all begin to rest Ash looks at Oak and Daisy then speaks.
"Thank you for having us over today we'll come back tomorrow" Ash says with Oak and Daisy nodding. After that Ash, Misty, Brock along with Pikachu, Riolu, Froakie, Litten, Sprigatito, Rockruff, Rowlet, Sobble, Quaxly and Togepi leave the lab and head over to Ash's house to rest.
It's now the next day the gang have come back to Oak's lab so Ash can continue to train his Pokemon. Gyarados continues to practice flying in the air while Ash's other flying types help it stay in the air. As Ash, Misty and Brock are watching the Pokemon train Growlithe walks over to the 3 kids and speaks.
"Growl" Growlithe says catching Ash's along with Misty and Brock's attention they look at the fire puppy as Ash speaks.
"What is it Growlithe?" Ash asks as Misty speaks.
"It looks like it's holding a book" Misty says as the kids see the book in Growlithe's mouth. The fire puppy then puts the book down and the gang see that it's the Hisui book they found yesterday. Growlithe opens the book it begins to flip through the pages until it finds the one it was looking for Growlithe shows its trainer as Ash picks up the book, he looks at the picture and speaks.
"This picture is that a Arcanine?" Ash questions as Brock speaks.
"It looks similar to a Kantoian Arcanine but it's different" Brock says with Ash and Misty nodding Ash looks at Growlithe and speaks.
"Does this Arcanine picture interest you Growlithe?" Ash asks Growlithe nods the group then hear Prof. Oak's voice.
"I believe Growlithe saying it wants to evolve" The old man says walking over to the group shocking them as Ash speaks.
"You really think so?" Ash asks as Oak speaks.
"Why yes, I do after you left yesterday Growlithe was very interested in Hiusian Arcanine and was reading up on it. I believe Growlithe wants to evolve so it can gain more power to help you win the league" The old man responds with the group nodding Ash looks at Growlithe and speaks.
"Is that true Growlithe do you want to evolve?" Ash asks the fire puppy nods Ash then opens his backpack and begins to go through it until he finds the Fire Stone that Blaine gave him. Ash then bends down getting on Growlithe's eye level he looks at the fire pup and begins to speak.
"Now Growlithe before I give this stone to you, I just want you to know that the moment you touch this and evolve you can't go back to being a Growlithe so I'll ask again are you sure?" Ash asks, having a serious expression on his face, Growlithe looks at his trainer and speaks.
"Growl!" Growlithe says telling Ash it's ready Ash nods in understanding and speaks.
"Okay Growlithe I understand" Ash says he puts the fire stone down next to Growlithe he then backs away giving the fire puppy space. Growlithe then looks at Ash one more time it smiles saying thank you Growlithe then touches the fire stone the moment it does it glows a bright white. Ash's Pokemon quickly stop training they look at Growlithe who begins to change. Growlithe becomes bigger, its white mane becomes dark grey with its body still having dark red fur. When the evolution stops what was once a Growlithe now stands an Arcanine the legendary dog lets out a loud howl sending out a big shockwave showcasing its power. Everyone looks at it and are in awe at Arcanine's beauty as Misty speaks.
"It looks so majestic" Misty says with everyone nodding Ash then walks over to Arcanine and speaks.
"Arcanine are you still you?" Ash asks the fire dog looks at Ash it brings its head towards Ash's face and licks him Arcanine then smiles making Ash smile as he speaks.
"You're still you after all congratulations on evolving Arcanine!" Ash says while hugging the fire dog making Arcanine bark happily. When they're done hugging the rest of Ash's Pokemon come over to congratulate Arcanine on its evolution. Rockruff's the most excited to see that its mentor evolved and wants to evolve soon too, while the Pokemon are interacting with each other Brock then speaks.
"You're getting some powerful Pokemon Ash" Brock says with the boy nodding as he speaks.
"Yeah, and I'm confident that we're going to win" Ash states with Brock, Misty, Oak and Daisy nodding. After that Ash continues to train his Pokemon as his excitement for the league grows.
3 days later Ash continues to train his Pokemon they all continue to grow stronger than before. Gyarados is getting better at flying but is still having some difficulties as it's only able to stay in the air for 10 minutes without using Bounce. After evolving Pyroar, Luxio, Crocalor and Arcanine have gotten a lot stronger they've become great training partners for the rest of Ash's Pokemon. One day prior Arcanine and Charizard had an intense training battle in the mountains of the ranch leaving the place covered in fire. Thankfully no other Pokemon were injured as Charizard and Arcanine were the only ones there and the battle ended with Charizard barely winning. Currently Ash's Pokemon are still hard at work training with each other we now zoom in on Corvisquire having an aerial battle with Pidgeot, Noctowl and Flygon.
"Cor!" We see Corvisquire go to strike Pidgeot with Drill Peck but the bird dodges, Corvisquire then sees Flygon in front of it. The goggled Dragon fires a Dragon Pulse at Corvisquire but the raven narrowly dodges allowing the Dragon Pulse to go hit Noctowl instead. Noctowl's eyes glow blue as it fires a psychic wave catching the Dragon Pulse and sends it back at Flygon. Flygon quickly dodges the Dragon Pulse when it does Noctowl appears in front of Flygon and fires a Moonblast in front of it knocking Flygon away, Corvisquire then hits Noctowl with Drill Peck knocking the owl away. Then out of nowhere Pidgeot appears and hits Corvisquire with Aerial Ace knocking the raven on the ground.
We now go to the group of Pawnaird, Darumaka, Hawlucha and Charcadet the 4 mons collide then skid away from each other. Hawlucha charges forward it goes to hit Pawnaird with Brick Break but the blade Pokemon dodges by moving to the side, Pawnaird goes to hit Hawlucha with Metal Claw but the lucha bird blocks with its wing and knocks Pawnaird away. Hawlucha then jumps towards Pawnaird going to use Flying Press, but Darumaka fires an Ice Beam, Hawlucha notices and narrowly dodges the icy beam. When Hawlucha lands on the ground Darumaka appears, it goes to hit Hawlucha with Ice Punch while Hawlucha counters with Brick Break the moves collide creating an explosion. Hawlucha and Darumaka skid back as they go to attack each other Pawnaird uses Air Slash firing the slashes of wind towards the two mons. Hawlucha and Darumaka notice then jump out of the way before Pawnaird can go after them, Charcadet appears and hits Pawnaird on the side with Flame Charge knocking Pawnaird away causing super effective damage. Pawnaird groans from the pain it sees Charcadet going to fire a Flamethrower, but Hawlucha and Darumaka appear going to attack Charcadet, the fire child stops and dodges their attacks Hawlucha and Darumaka then go after Charcadet to continue their battle while Pawnaird watches.
Next, we come to the group of Tinkatuff, Clefable, Farfetch'd and Hitmonlee. Tinkatuff runs forward it goes to hit Clefable with Metal Claw but the pixie mon dodges. Clefable then heats up her fist it goes to punch Tinkatuff but the hammer mon notices it quickly blocks with its hammer making Tinkatuff skid back. Hitmonlee then appears behind Tinkatuff it goes to kick it with Blaze Kick, but the Hammer mon dodges then backs away. Clefable then fires a Moonblast at Hitmonlee, Hitmonlee notices it uses Poison Jab and kicks the Moonblast away towards Farfetch'd. Farfetch'd holds onto its leek tightly when the Moonblast is about to hit it Farfetch'd hits the pink orb with its leek and sends it towards Tinkatuff. Tinkatuff roars and destroys the Moonblast with Metal Claw when it does Farfetch'd appears it goes to hit Tinkatuff with Superpower while Tinkatuff counters using Play Rough. The two mons collide creating a shockwave both mons try to push each other back but create an explosion making them both skid back. When they do Farfetch'd notices Hitmonlee going to kick it with Mega Kick, Farfetch'd quickly uses detect to dodge Hitmonlee making Hitmonlee head towards Clefable. Clefable fires another Moonblast at Hitmonlee the kicking mon narrowly dodges by using detect as the Moonblast hits Tinkatuff instead making it soar through the air and come crashing back down. Tinkatuff groans in pain as it sees its teammates continuing to train. Tinkatuff, Pawniard and Corvisquire struggle to stand up when they do the 3-mons yell.
"COR!" "PAWN!" "TINK!" The 3-mons yell as they're enveloped in a bright white starting to evolve shocking everyone as Ash speaks.
"They're evolving!" Ash says having an excited look on his face while he and everyone else see the 3-mons change. Corvisquire gets bigger its body is now covered in armor when the evolution stops it's now a Corviknight. Pawniard gets taller two blades encircle around its torso the light stops as it's now a Bisharp. Tinkatuff gets a bit taller its hammer grows larger as what was once a Tinkatuff is now a Tinkaton. When the 3 mons are done evolving, they let out a loud roar creating a shockwave Ash grabs his Pokedex to scan Corviknight and Tinkaton.
"Corviknight the Raven Pokemon a Flying/Steel type. Corviknight has no rivals in the Galar region's skies. Its shimmering black steel body daunts opponents and causes fear." "Tinkaton the Hammer Pokemon a Fairy/Steel type. The hammer tops 220 pounds, yet it gets swung around easily by Tinkaton as it steals whatever it pleases and carries its plunder back home." The Pokedex says Ash looks at the 3 mons and speaks.
"Whoa congrats on evolving guys!" Ash says with the 3-mons nodding Tinkaton then looks at Corviknight and Bisharp it smiles and jumps forward going to hit them with its hammer. The two-mons notice and quickly dodge when Tinkaton's hammer hits the ground it creates a big crater shocking everyone. Tinkaton then begins to chase Corviknight and Bisharp as Ash speaks.
"Tinkaton stop!" Ash says he runs forward to stop Tinkaton but the Hammer mon knocks Ash away making him land below Brock and Misty. The two ask if Ash's alright with Ash saying yes, he then speaks.
"What's gotten into Tinkaton why's it going after Corviknight and Bisharp?" Ash asks as Brock speaks.
"I believe that's Tinkaton's nature in the wild they usually go after Corviknight and Bisharp to steal their metal so they can add it to their hammers" Brock says with Ash nodding as he speaks.
"How do I get it to stop?" Ash asks as Misty speaks.
"It seems like Clefable has a plan" Misty says the two boys look forward they see Clefable get in front of the rampaging Tinkaton. As Tinkaton goes to hit Clefable with its hammer the pixie mon uses Psychic to stop Tinkaton in its tracks. Before Tinkaton can break out Clefable uses Sing to put Tinkaton to sleep, Tinkaton resists at first but eventually goes asleep. Corviknight and Bisharp tell Clefable thank you with the Pixie mon saying welcome Clefable then picks up Tinkaton as Ash speaks.
"Can I leave Tinkaton in your care Clefable?" Ash asks with Clefable nodding saying it'll teach Tinkaton manners, Clefable then walks away while carrying the unconscious Tinkaton Ash then breathes a sigh of relief he looks at Corviknight and Bisharp then speaks.
"Sorry about Tinkaton's outburst but it seems Clefable is going to train it to control itself so you two shouldn't have to worry" Ash says with the two-mons nodding Ash then continues to speak.
"Also, I just want to say congratulations on evolving" Ash says making Corviknight and Bisharp happy Ash's other Pokemon then walk over to them and congratulate them on their evolution making the two-mons happy as Ash speaks.
"Okay then I believe lunch is ready so let's take a break" Ash says with his Pokemon nodding as they all begin to relax.
1 hour later the humans and Pokemon had a good lunch, during the hour Clefable was telling Tinkaton that it needed to control itself with Tinkaton agreeing saying it'll try. As Ash along with Misty and Brock continue to observe his Pokemon the gang hear a familiar voice.
"ASH, MISTY, BROCK!" The voice echoes as the 3 trainers turn, they get surprised looks on their faces seeing Leaf they smile and yell.
"IT'S LEAF!" The 3 trainers say in shock they see the girl running fast Sobble, Quaxly and Togepi quickly get off Misty's shoulders and hands going on the ground. Ash, Misty and Brock tell Leaf to slow down but Leaf tackles them to the ground and wraps them in a big hug Leaf then speaks.
"It's great to see you guys again!" Leaf says happily while hugging the 3 trainers tightly as Ash speaks.
"We're…. Happy…. To… see…. You… too… Leaf… Please let us go" Ash says while struggling to talk Leaf nods she quickly gets off of them letting them stand up to catch their breaths. When they do they look at the girl and smile as Ash speaks.
"It's cool to see you again Leaf but why are you here?" Ash asks as Misty speaks.
"Yeah, didn't you say that you were going to head out to train somewhere?" Misty asks as Leaf speaks.
"Oh, the reason why I'm here is because I wanted to take a small break from training and hang out with my mom for a little bit. I also wanted to see you guys again but when I went over to Ash's house Ms. Ketchum told me you guys were here, so I came to visit" Leaf responds with the group nodding Leaf then looks at Ash's Pokemon training and speaks.
"Hey Ash, are you training your Pokemon?" Leaf asks as Ash speaks.
"Yep, also some of them evolved. Guys come over here!" Ash responds as his Pokemon stop what they're doing and run over to their trainer. When they get close Leaf looks at all of Ash's Pokemon and gets stars in her eyes seeing Corviknight, Pyroar, Crocalor, Bisharp, Tinkaton, Luxio and Arcanine Leaf then speaks.
"Whoa so these 7 evolved they all look cool, but my favorite has gotta be Arcanine it looks so majestic and is soft" Leaf says while hugging the fire dog making Arcanine happy. Leaf then walks back a few feet she pulls out 6 Pokeball's and speaks.
"Some of my Pokemon evolved too take a look" Leaf says she throws the 6 Pokeball's in the air as Venusaur, Amaura, shiny Talonflame, Mudsdale, Meowscarda and her Shiny Altaria appear. The 6 mons give a loud roar creating a shockwave the gang look at Leaf's Pokemon and are impressed as Ash speaks.
"Whoa so your Fletchinder, Mudbry and Swablu evolved" Ash says with Leaf nodding as she speaks.
"Yep, not just them but more of my Pokemon have evolved but I'll show you them when the league starts" Leaf responds with Ash nodding Leaf's 6 Pokemon then go to interact with Ash's Pokemon Venusaur and Meowscarda interact with ash's grass types Meowscarda and Sprigatito are happy to see each other again. Amaura interacts with ash's ice types, Mudsdale interacts with ash's ground types and Talonflame along with Altaria interact with Ash's flying/dragon types. While the Pokemon are interacting with each other and having a good time Leaf looks at Ash and speaks.
"Hey Ash, do you want to have a battle? We didn't get to finish our battle at the Seafoam Islands so what do you say?" Leaf asks Ash looks at her he smiles and speaks.
"Sure, I want to see just how strong you've gotten so far" Ash responds with Leaf smiling as she speaks.
"Great I knew you'd agree" Leaf says having an excited look on her face as Misty speaks.
"Here they go again" Misty says as Brock speaks.
"I'll go be the referee" Brock says as he walks forward Ash and Leaf then take their battle positions all of Ash's Pokemon are behind him while Leaf's 6 Pokemon are behind her. The two trainers along with their Pokemon stare at each other as Ash speaks.
"So, Leaf what're the rules are we going to finish our triple battle?" Ash asks as Leaf speaks.
"Nope this is going to be a 4v4 battle we're both allowed to make substitutions and the winner is decided when either side defeats all 4 of their opponents Pokemon" Leaf says with Ash nodding as Brock speaks.
"If both trainers are ready, please send out your first Pokemon!" Brock says as Ash goes first.
"Okay Tyrunt I choose you!" Ash says as the T-rex runs forward getting on the battlefield it gets in a battle stance ready to battle Leaf smiles and speaks.
"Okay Amaura your up first!" Leaf says as the Tundra Pokemon walks on the battlefield it looks at Tyrunt and gets in a battle stance Brock then speaks.
"Now that both trainers have sent out their first Pokemon you may now begin!" Brock says as Ash makes the first move.
"Tyrunt use Rock Tomb!" Ash calls Tyrunt roars it summons the rocks and sends them at Amaura. Neither Leaf nor Amaura are scared as Leaf calls for a command.
"Amaura counter with your Rock Tomb!" Leaf calls the Tundra Pokemon roars it fires the Rock Tomb it collides with Tyrunt's creating an explosion Ash then calls for his next command.
"Tyrunt use Fire Fang!" Ash calls Tyrunt roars it heats up its mouth and runs forward going to bite Amaura as Leaf makes a command.
"Amaura use Protect then Reflect!" Leaf calls Amaura quickly summons a protective barrier blocking Tyrunt's attack making it bounce away Amaura then summons 5 reflective screens that appear then instantly disappear Ash calls for his next command.
"Tyrunt use Brick Break!" Ash calls Tyrunt roars it shoots forward its claws glow white as it goes to break the barriers and hit Amaura Leaf makes a command.
"Now Thunder Wave!" Leaf calls Amaura roars as it fires 5 rings of electricity at Tyrunt hitting the T-Rex paralyzing it. Tyrunt then stops in front of Amaura and feels electricity all throughout its body, Tyrunt then sees Amaura lift up its head as Leaf makes a command.
"Now Iron Head!" Leaf calls "Dodge Tyrunt!" Ash calls Amaura covers its head in steel energy it goes to hit Tyrunt the T-rex tries to dodge but the paralysis is stopping it. Tyrunt is then hit in the head with Iron Head making the T-rex fall face first on the ground as Ash speaks.
"Tyrunt are you okay?!" Ash asks the T-rex stands up and nods saying it's okay, but that Iron Head did hurt a lot in the stands Misty speaks.
"That Amaura is tough" Misty says as Gible, Totodile, Crocalor, Krokorok and Gyarados cheer on the T-rex Tyrunt looks at them and smiles. Tyrunt then looks back at Amaura and lets out a mighty roar as Leaf speaks.
"It's tough" Leaf says with Amaura nodding as Leaf calls for her next command.
"Amaura use Ice Beam!" Leaf calls the Tundra Pokemon fires the icy beam it heads towards Tyrunt as Ash makes a command.
"Tyrunt destroy it with Fire Fang then use Rock Tomb!" Ash calls Tyrunt heats up its mouth and bites down on the ice beam easily destroying it. Tyrunt roars it quickly fires multiple rocks at Amaura as Leaf makes a command.
"Amaura use Rock Polish then dodge!" Leaf calls surprising Ash as Amaura roars it sharply increases its speed then disappears easily dodging the Rock Tomb. Amaura then appears in front of Tyrunt shocking the T-rex as Ash quickly makes a command.
"Tyrunt Fire Fang!" "Amaura use Echoed Voice!" Both trainers call when Tyrunt goes to bite Amaura the Tundra Pokemon lets out a loud yell hurting Tyrunt's ears making it stop using Fire Fang Tyrunt also feels damage. Tyrunt then looks at Amaura and sees that it's charging up a beam as Leaf speaks.
"Now Hyper Beam!" "Tyrunt dodge!" Both trainers call Tyrunt tries to dodge but is unable to because of the paralysis. Tyrunt then looks at Amaura who's done charging the beam the tundra Pokemon roars as it fires the Hyper Beam consuming Tyrunt (Leaf's Amaura has the Refrigerate ability which turns normal moves into ice type moves). Tyrunt cries out in pain as it's sent crashing back next to Ash unconscious as Brock makes the call.
"Tyrunt is unable to battle Amaura is the winner!" Brock calls shocking Ash along with his Pokemon as Misty speaks.
"Tyrunt lost that easily" Misty says in shock Tyrunt then wakes up it looks at Ash telling him sorry Ash bends down he looks at Tyrunt and speaks.
"It's okay Tyrunt you did your best don't worry we'll keep training then you'll get your revenge" Ash says with Tyrunt nodding it then goes to stand next to Gible, Totodile, Krokorok, Crocalor and Gyarados. The 5 mons tell Tyrunt it did great, and they'll continue to train together making Tyrunt happy. Ash looks at them and smiles he then stands back up looks forward he sees Leaf petting Amaura as she speaks.
"Great job Amaura I knew you could do it now return" Leaf says with the Tundra Pokemon nodding it goes to stand next to Leaf's other Pokemon. Leaf then looks at Talonflame and speaks.
"Okay Talonflame it's your turn!" Leaf says with the fire bird nodding it flies on the battlefield and gets into a battle stance as Ash speaks.
"So, she's sending in Talonflame who should I use?" Ash questions while he's looking at his Pokemon Corviknight flies forward landing on the battlefield Ash looks at it and speaks.
"You're saying you want to battle next Corviknight?" Ash asks with Corviknight nodding it glares at Talonflame with Talonflame glaring back. Brock calls for the battle to continue as Ash and Leaf call for their first commands.
"Aerial Ace!" Both trainers call the two birds roar as they quickly fly at each other and collide creating an explosion. Talonflame and Corviknight then appear out of the smoke they start to fly in the air, Talonflame gets behind Corviknight as Leaf makes a command.
"Talonflame Flame Charge!" Leaf calls Talonflame roars it covers its body in fire and heads towards Corviknight as Ash makes a command.
"Corviknight use Screech then Iron Head!" Ash calls as Talonflame is about to hit Corviknight the steel raven quickly turns around and fires a loud ear-piercing screech hurting Talonflame's ears making it stop and lower its defense. Corviknight then covers its head in steel energy it flies forward and hits Talonflame knocking it towards the battlefield as Leaf speaks.
"Talonflame quick pick yourself up!" Leaf calls Talonflame opens its eyes it readjusts itself and flies back in the air before hitting the ground. While Talonflame flies in the sky Corviknight appears behind Talonflame as Ash makes a command.
"Now Aerial Ace!" "Talonflame counter with Flame Charge!" Both trainers call Corviknight speeds up while Talonflame quickly turns around it covers its body in fire and collides with Corviknight creating an explosion. Talonflame and Corviknight then burst from the smoke and continue to collide in the air they collide one more time making them back away from each other Ash then speaks.
"Now Air Slash!" "Talonflame fly forward and use Flame Charge!" Both trainers call Corviknight's wings glow as it fires the slashes of wind at Talonflame. Talonflame flies forward, it covers its body in fire and easily dodges the Air Slash. Talonflame keeps going until it hits Corviknight doing super effective damage and knocking it away. Talonflame then heads towards Corviknight it opens its mouth as Leaf calls for a command.
"Now Flamethrower!" "Corviknight use Protect!" Both trainers call Talonflame fires the stream of fire it heads towards Corviknight about to hit it, but the raven quickly summons a protective barrier blocking the attack. When the barrier goes down Talonflame appears in front of Corviknight shocking the raven and Ash Talonflame has its mouth opened as Leaf speaks.
"Talonflame end it with Fire Blast!" Leaf calls before Ash can make a command Talonflame fires the big blast of fire in front of Corviknight. The raven is consumed and is crying out in pain Corviknight is then sent crashing down on the battlefield creating a dust cloud as Ash speaks.
"Corviknight!" Ash calls when he does the smoke clears, and everyone sees that Corviknight is laying on the battlefield knocked out Brock then makes the call.
"Corviknight is unable to battle Talonflame is the winner!" Brock calls Leaf and Talonflame cheer while Ash along with his Pokemon are shocked Ash then walks over to Corviknight. When Ash makes it to the raven Corviknight looks at Ash saying sorry it lost Ash looks at it and speaks.
"It's okay Corviknight you did your best Talonflame was just faster and had the type advantage but next time we'll win for sure" Ash says having a determined look on his face his other flying types appear telling Corviknight that they'll continue to train alongside it and help it grow stronger. Corviknight looks at its trainer and teammates the raven nods in agreement, Corviknight then stands back up it flies back to where the other Pokemon are while Ash goes to his side of the battlefield. When he does, he looks forward and sees Leaf returning Talonflame Ash looks at her then speaks.
"So, you're not keeping Talonflame in?" Ash asks as Leaf speaks.
"Nope Talonflame did its part for now and needs a break my next choice should be able to defeat your next Pokemon Mudsdale Go!" Leaf says as the Draft horse nods it jumps forward landing on the battlefield shaking it then lets out a mighty roar creating a shockwave as Ash speaks.
"This Pokemon has a lot of power" Ash says to himself as he begins to think on who he'll pick next he hears a "Tink" he looks down and sees Tinkaton Ash looks at it and speaks.
"You're saying you want to battle Tinkaton?" Ash asks with Tinkaton nodding it also gives Ash a look that says it won't lose. Ash sees the fire in Tinkaton's eyes and nods, he smiles then speaks.
"Okay Tinkaton I choose you!" Ash says Tinkaton nods the hammer Pokemon jumps on the battlefield and gets into a battle stance as Leaf speaks.
"So, Tinkaton's next this should be interesting Mudsdale don't go easy on it!" Leaf says with the horse blowing smoke out of its nose in understanding Brock calls for the battle to continue as Leaf makes the first move.
"Mudsdale use High Horsepower!" Leaf calls the horse roars it covers its body in an orange outline and charges towards Tinkaton as Ash makes a command.
"Tinkaton counter with Ice Hammer!" Ash calls Tinkaton roars it covers its hammer in ice jumps forward and collides with Mudsdale. The two mons begin to try and push each other back, but Tinkaton wins the exchange knocking Mudsdale away making it fall down shocking Leaf as Ash calls for his next command.
"Use Ice Hammer again!" Ash calls Tinkaton jumps forward it covers its hammer in ice as it's about to hit Mudsdale Leaf makes a command.
"Dodge Mudsdale then kick the hammer away with Double Kick!" Leaf calls Mudsdale quickly dodges Tinkaton's hammer making Tinkaton slam it on the ground. Mudsdale then goes to kick Tinkaton with its two back legs, Tinkaton blocks with its hammer, but Mudsdale kicks Tinkaton's hammer away shocking it along with Ash Leaf smiles and calls for her next command.
"Now High Horsepower!" Leaf calls Mudsdale roars it glows an orange outline throughout its body it charges at Tinkaton and hits it before Ash can make a command. Tinkaton coughs in pain as it's sent flying away landing next to its hammer. Tinkaton groans in pain as Leaf calls for a command.
"Now Earthquake!" "Tinkaton quick grab your hammer and jump in the air!" Both trainers call Mudsdale roars it stomps its hooves on the battlefield shaking it. Before the Earthquake hits Tinkaton she quickly grabs her hammer and jumps high in the air dodging the move as Leaf calls for her next command.
"Mudsdale jump after it and use Giga Impact!" Leaf calls Mudsdale roars it jumps high in the air covering its body in an orange sphere with purple streaks. It heads towards Tinkaton the hammer mon looks at it and grips her hammer tightly as Ash gives a command.
"Tinkaton use Gigaton Hammer!" Ash calls Tinkaton roars it starts to swing around while falling towards Mudsdale. When Tinkaton feels she's gotten enough momentum she swings her hammer at Mudsdale and collides with the horse. Mudsdale and Tinkaton begin to fight for dominance, Mudsdale tries to push Tinkaton back, but the Hammer mon gives a mighty "TINK!" and sends Mudsdale crashing back down on the battlefield. Mudsdale groans from the pain it struggles to stand up as Leaf speaks.
"Mudsdale above you!" Leaf calls Mudsdale looks up and sees Tinkaton heading towards it fast it's covering its hammer in ice as Ash speaks.
"Now Ice Hammer!" "Mudsdale dodge!" Both trainers call Mudsdale doesn't have time to dodge as Tinkaton reaches Mudsdale and slams her hammer hard on the horse's head making it crash on the battlefield creating a dust cloud. When the dust clears everyone can see Tinkaton standing over an unconscious Mudsdale Brock then makes the call.
"Mudsdale's unable to battle Tinkaton's the winner!" Brock says making Ash along with his Pokemon cheer Ash looks at Tinkaton and speaks.
"Great job Tinkaton!" Ash says while Tinkaton looks back at him and smiles. Leaf along with her Pokemon are sad that Mudsdale lost but smile Leaf returns it to its Pokeball and speaks.
"Thank you Mudsdale you gave it your all take a good rest" Leaf says with her other Pokemon agreeing Leaf looks at Talonflame and speaks.
"Okay Talonflame it's your turn again" Leaf says with the fire bird nodding it flies back on the battlefield getting in a battle stance Ash looks at it and speaks.
"So Talonflame's back in huh" Ash says as Tinkaton speaks.
"Tink" Tinkaton says catching Ash's attention she gives a look saying it can still battle Ash nods and speaks.
"Okay Tinkaton let's keep going!" Ash says with the hammer mon nodding it looks at Talonflame and gets in a battle stance while Ash's other Pokemon cheer, Brock calls for the battle to continue as Ash makes the first move.
"Let's go Tinkaton use Stone Edge!" Ash calls Tinkaton roars she slams her hammer down summoning the sharp rocks they head towards Talonflame as Leaf makes a command.
"Talonflame use Hurricane to destroy the Stone Edge then use Flamethrower!" Leaf calls Talonflame roars it flaps its wings fast easily destroying the stone edge it then fires the hot stream of fire heading towards Tinkaton as Ash makes a command.
"Tinkaton use Brutal Swing to blow the Flamethrower away!" Ash calls Tinkaton's hammer glows in dark energy she spins around easily getting rid of the Flamethrower. When the Flamethrower's gone Tinkaton looks forward and sees Talonflame in front of it as Leaf speaks.
"Use Acrobatics then Fire Blast!" Leaf calls before Ash can make a command Talonflame glows blue it hits Tinkaton back and forth causing some damage to it. Talonflame then fires the big blast of fire Ash calls for Tinkaton to knock it away but was too late as the fire blast hits Tinkaton creating an explosion as Ash speaks.
"Tinkaton!" Ash calls worriedly when the smoke clears everyone can see that Tinkaton is laying on the ground knocked out as Brock makes the call.
"Tinkaton's unable to battle Talonflame's the winner!" Brock calls as Leaf and Talonflame cheer in victory. Ash is surprised that Tinkaton lost but smiles and speaks.
"Thanks, Tinkaton you did great" Ash says with the hammer mon nodding Clefable and Ninetales appear and help Tinkaton stand back up they walk back to Ash's other Pokemon as Leaf speaks.
"So, Ash how are you liking our battle so far?" Leaf asks as Ash speaks.
"It's tough but I'm enjoying it we may be on the losing end so far, but I believe my Pokemon and I can turn this around" Ash states with his Pokemon roaring behind him in agreement Leaf smiles and speaks.
"Okay then I'm curious so who's coming in next?" Leaf asks as before Ash picks his next Pokemon Bisharp jumps on the battlefield surprising Ash as he speaks.
"You want to battle next Bisharp?" Ash asks with Bisharp nodding Ash smiles and speaks.
"Okay then I'll go with you let's win!" Ash says Bisharp nods it stares at Talonflame and gets into a battle stance Brock calls for the battle to continue as Leaf makes the first move.
"Talonflame use Flame Charge!" Leaf calls Talonflame roars it flies forward covering its body in fire Ash quickly makes a command.
"Bisharp counter with Aerial Ace!" Ash calls Bisharp's right fist glows blue and collides with Talonflame creating an explosion. The two mons then skid away from each other Bisharp stops itself then runs forward as Ash makes a command.
"Bisharp Night Slash!" Ash calls Bisharp covers both of its fist in dark energy it goes to hit Talonflame as Leaf makes a command.
"Talonflame dodge then use Fire Blast!" Leaf calls Talonflame quickly flies in the air dodging the Night Slash it then fires the big blast of fire at Bisharp as Ash speaks.
"Bisharp back away!" Ash calls Bisharp quickly jumps backwards dodging the Fire Blast letting it hit the ground creating a dust cloud. When Bisharp lands it sees Talonflame appear out of the dust cloud as Leaf makes a command.
"Talonflame use Flame Charge!" Leaf calls Talonflame heats up its body and speeds up going to hit Bisharp. As Talonflame is just inches away from hitting the sharp blade Pokemon Ash smirks then speaks.
"Bisharp bend backwards to dodge then use Screech!" Ash calls shocking Leaf as Bisharp quickly bends backwards dodging Talonflame's attack. Bisharp lets out a loud ear-piercing screech hurting Talonflame's ears and lowering its defense. Talonflame quickly flies in the air getting away from the noise while it's in the air Bisharp appears shocking the bird and Leaf as Ash makes a command.
"Now Night Slash!" "Talonflame Fire Blast!" Both trainers call before Talonflame can fire the blast of fire Bisharp covers its right fist in dark energy and punches Talonflame's stomach making the fire bird cough in pain as it's sent crashing back down on the battlefield. Bisharp then lands back down it looks at Talonflame and sees that it's knocked out Brock then speaks.
"Talonflame's unable to battle Bisharp's the winner!" Brock calls as Ash along with his other Pokemon cheer Misty then speaks.
"Ash just might be able to pull this off" Misty says with Sobble, Quaxly and Togepi agreeing. Leaf then returns Talonflame back to its Pokeball telling it thank you she looks at Ash and speaks.
"Not bad Ash you defeated two of my Pokemon but you won't defeat my next one Meowscarda Go!" Leaf says as the Magician Pokemon nods it jumps on the battlefield and gets in a battle stance with Bisharp doing the same Ash looks at it and speaks.
"So, Meowscarda is her 4th Pokemon I don't know much about it but I'm still confident I can win" Ash says to himself he looks at Bisharp and speaks.
"Let's do this Bisharp once we take down Meowscarda Amaura will be last we'll defeat it and win the battle!" Ash says with Bisharp nodding Ash's other Pokemon cheer on Bisharp encouraging it Leaf smirks and speaks.
"Don't think that it'll be that easy to defeat Meowscarda little bro the ones winning this battle will be us!" Leaf states with Meowscarda nodding Brock calls for the battle to continue as Ash and Leaf call for their commands.
"Bisharp Aerial Ace!" "Meowscarda dodge then use Low Kick!" Both trainers call Bisharp instantly shoots forward it goes to hit Meowscarda but the magician moves to the left easily dodging Bisharp's attack. Meowscarda becomes a fighting type then kicks Bisharp's leg making it trip causing super effective damage Leaf then speaks.
"Now use Thunder Punch!" "Bisharp quick dodge then use Iron Defense!" Both trainers call Meowscarda becomes an electric type it electrifies its fist and goes to punch Bisharp. But the blade Pokemon quickly dodges the move Bisharp then glows in steel energy and sharply raises its defense Ash then calls for his next command.
"Bisharp use Air Slash!" "Meowscarda use Sucker Punch!" Both trainers call before Bisharp uses Air Slash Meowscarda becomes a dark type it disappears then re appears in front of Bisharp and punches it across the face making Bisharp stop using Air Slash. Meowscarda gets its fist ready as Leaf makes a command.
"Now Use Play Rough!" "Bisharp Iron Head!" "Dodge Meowscarda!" Both trainers call Meowscarda becomes a fairy type it covers its fist in fairy energy and goes to punch Bisharp but the blade Pokemon covers its head in steel energy. Bisharp goes to hit Meowscarda but the magician easily dodges making Bisharp run forward, Bisharp then turns around as Ash makes a command.
"Bisharp Flash Cannon!" "Meowscarda use Aura Sphere!" "What?!" Both trainers call Bisharp fires the steel beam it goes to hit Meowscarda. But the magician puts its hands together, it becomes a fighting type and creates a blue sphere. Meowscarda smiles then roars and launches the Aura Sphere. The Aura sphere easily goes through the Flash Cannon and hits Bisharp creating an explosion. Bisharp flies in the air then comes crashing down below Ash's feet knocked out shocking Ash along with his Pokemon as Brock speaks.
"Bisharp is unable to battle Meowscarda is the victor, seeing as Ash has no more Pokemon left Leaf is the winner of the battle!" Brock says while Leaf gets a smile on her face, she runs over to Meowscarda wraps it in a hug and speaks.
"You did it Meowscarda! You did it!" Leaf says happily making the grass cat smile as it hugs Leaf back Leaf's Amaura, Venusaur and Altaria run over to congratulate the magician as well off to the side Misty walks over to Brock and speaks.
"Leaf managed to defeat Ash" Misty says as Brock speaks.
"Yeah, Leaf showcased just how strong she's gotten in a week" Brock says with Misty nodding they see Ash bend down looking at Bisharp as he speaks.
"Hey Bisharp, are you okay?" Ash asks the blade mon opens its eyes it looks at Ash telling him sorry that it lost as Ash speaks.
"It's okay Bisharp you along with Tinkaton, Corviknight and Tyrunt did your best Leaf's Pokemon were just a bit stronger. But we won't let this loss keep us down we'll keep training and improving" Ash says having a determined look on his face as his other Pokemon agree with him. Bisharp looks at its trainer along with its teammates and nods Ash then helps Bisharp up they then see Leaf along with her Pokemon walk over to them as she speaks.
"That was a great battle Ash you along with your Pokemon have gotten strong" Leaf says as Ash speaks.
"Thanks, we enjoyed it too, though it sucks that we lost but this only motivates us more to continue training and when we battle at the league, we'll get our revenge!" Ash states with all of his Pokemon giving a mighty roar. Leaf along with her Pokemon look at them and smile as Leaf speaks.
"Okay Ash but we're not going to slack off if you think we're strong now wait until you see us at the league, we'll be much stronger and defeat you again!" Leaf states having a determined look on her face with her Pokemon agreeing with her. Ash, Leaf along with their Pokemon stare at each other for a few seconds they then smile and begin to laugh as Misty speaks.
"Even though they're rivals they're still friends" Misty says with Brock nodding. After that Leaf gave Ash, Misty and Brock hugs saying goodbye and tells them they'll meet again at the league Leaf then leaves heading out of Pallet Town Misty looks at Ash and speaks.
"Are you okay Ash?" Misty asks as Ash speaks.
"Yeah, I'm fine I'm happy Leaf came and battled me today just like me she's training hard too, and I can't fall behind" Ash responds with Misty nodding as Brock speaks.
"Seeing how much stronger Leaf has gotten in just a week imagine how strong not just her but your other rivals will be when the league begins" Brock says Ash nods and speaks.
"Yeah, just thinking about it has me nervous but also excited because it's going to be a challenge and I love it" Ash says with Misty and Brock nodding Ash then turns to his Pokemon and speaks.
"Even though we lost to Leaf today I believe it was a good thing it showed us that we still have many areas to improve on. So, we'll continue to train and be ready for when we face her again!" Ash says as all of his Pokemon roar in agreement making the boy smile as he speaks.
"Good now come on let's jog" Ash says as he begins to run with his Pokemon following him jogging alongside him Misty and Brock look at them running as the chapter ends.
Thank you for reading if you've made it this far. A lot of things happened in this chapter Gyarados learned how to fly, a lot of Ash's Pokemon evolved, and Ash battled Leaf. I decided to have Gyarados learn to fly as I thought it would be an interesting idea and gives something for Gyarados to work on. I had Ash lose to Leaf here as it'll give him more motivation to train and try to defeat her if they battle in the league. As for the evolutions, there were a lot in this chapter tell me how you felt about the evolutions also during this training arc more of Ash's Pokemon will evolve tell me which ones do you think will evolve next.
