Chapter 59 Kanto League Top 16 AJ vs Paul
Hello everyone, this chapter will mainly focus on AJ's battle with Paul, and I hope you all enjoy!
The chapter begins the next day after the last chapter ended its 8am in the morning Ash called Prof Oak to switch out his Pokemon so he can train them before his battle with Ritchie. Currently Ash is outside training his Pokemon. We see Charizard and Noivern clash in the sky with Dragon Claw then back away from each other as Ash speaks.
"Charizard use Flamethrower and Noivern use Boomburst!" Ash calls the two-mons fire their moves they collide creating an explosion and a cloud of smoke. Charizard hides in the smoke as Ash speaks.
"Noivern use your echo location to find Charizard!" Ash calls Noivern sends out sound waves and begins searching for Charizard. A few seconds later Noivern finds Charizard's location as Ash speaks.
"Noivern use Acrobatics and Charizard block!" Ash calls Noivern glows blue it quickly flies to where Charizard is and reaches it instantly. Charizard quickly brings up its arms blocking Noivern's attack as the two mons appear out of the smoke. Noivern continues to push Charizard back until Charizard swings out its arms pushing Noivern away. The two mons look at each other and continue their battle as Ash smiles. He then looks at Farfetch'd and Tinkaton then speaks.
"Tinkaton use Play Rough and Farfetch'd use Detect to dodge!" Ash calls Tinkaton shoots forward it goes to hit Farfetch'd but the duck's eye glows it jumps in the air dodging the attack. Farfetch'd starts to fall towards Tinkaton while holding its leek tightly as Ash speaks.
"Now Farfetch'd use Superpower and Tinkaton block!" Ash calls Farfetch'd bulks up its body its leek glows bright crimson and goes to hit Tinkaton. The hammer mon quickly brings up her hammer and successfully blocks Farfetch'd's leek. Farfetch'd begins to push Tinkaton down, but Tinkaton roars she pushes her hammer up making Farfetch'd fly away, the duck then safely lands back on the ground. Farfetch'd glares at Tinkaton with Tinkaton glaring back the two mons shoot forward and collide continuing their battle. Ash looks over at Wartortle and Gengar then calls for commands.
"Wartortle use Hydro Pump and Gengar use Psychic to catch it!" Ash calls Wartortle shoots out the large stream of water. It heads for Gengar, but the ghost fires a wave of psychic energy and successfully catches the move as Ash speaks.
"Great Gengar now send it back at Wartortle and Wartortle use Rapid Spin to dodge!" Ash calls Gengar sends the large stream of water back at Wartortle. Wartortle quickly goes in its shell and begins to spin it easily dodges the Hydro Pump then heads for Gengar as Ash speaks.
"Now Wartortle use Gyro Ball and Gengar dodge!" Ash calls Wartortle covers its shell in steel energy it continues to spin towards Gengar but the ghost sinks into the ground dodging the attack making Wartortle fly over it as Ash speaks.
"Now Gengar use Thunder Punch and Wartortle use Protect!" Ash calls Gengar appears from underground it covers its fist in electricity and goes to hit Wartortle. The blue turtle quickly summons a protective barrier blocking Gengar's attack making the blue turtle skid back. Wartortle and Gengar look at each other as Ash speaks.
"Alright let's keep going!" Ash says with his Pokemon roaring in agreement they continue to train with each other off to the side we see Misty and Brock they watch Ash train his Pokemon as Misty speaks.
"Ash's really excited for his battle with Ritchie" Misty says with Brock nodding as he speaks.
"Yeah, his Pokemon are looking really good and those three are too" Brock responds as he and Misty look at Pikachu training Riolu and Froakie. Pikachu fires a Thunderbolt while Riolu counters with Aura Sphere creating an explosion. Froakie then appears out of the smoke it goes to hit Pikachu with Cut but the yellow mouse counters with Iron Tail. The two mons begin pushing each other back and forth Pikachu then notices Riolu appear behind it. Riolu goes to punch Pikachu with Power Up Punch, Pikachu quickly knocks Froakie away covers its fist in electricity and collides with Riolu creating an explosion. Both mons then skid away from each other as Froakie jumps in the air and fires a Bubblebeam at Pikachu. Pikachu quickly fires a Thunderbolt it easily pierces through the stream of bubbles and hits Froakie. The frog cries out in pain as it's then revealed that it was a clone, Pikachu's surprised as its ears perk up. Pikachu turns around and sees Riolu and Froakie going to hit it with Aerial Ace and Power Up Punch respectively. Pikachu quickly brings up its arms and successfully blocks the attack. The yellow mouse slides back a few feet when it stops Pikachu looks at the two mons and smiles with Riolu and Froakie doing the same. The 3 mons then charge forward and collide continuing their battle as Misty speaks.
"Even though they're not going to take part in the battle they still continue to train" Misty says as Brock speaks.
"I guess they don't want to fall behind" Brock says with Misty nodding the two then look back at Ash training his Pokemon they see the 6-mons clash with their respective opponents then skid back as Ash speaks.
"Alright that's enough let's take a break" Ash says with his Pokemon nodding as they all begin to relax. Misty and Brock then walk over to Ash when they reach him Misty speaks.
"Your Pokemon are looking great Ash I know that you'll do great in your battle against Ritchie" Misty says with Ash nodding as he speaks.
"Yeah, I'm excited" Ash responds Brock then looks at the time and speaks.
"Looks like the battles are going to be starting soon" Brock says as Ash speaks.
"How much time do we have?" Ash asks as Brock speaks.
"Seems we still have 30 minutes" Brock responds as Ash speaks.
"30 minutes huh? Okay that's perfect there's one more thing I want to help Tinkaton with it should take about 10-15 minutes" Ash responds as Misty speaks.
"Okay Ash we'll go have some breakfast come join us when you're done" Misty says with Ash nodding. After that Misty and Brock head inside going to the direction of the cafeteria. When they're gone Ash looks at his Pokemon and speaks.
"Okay guys we've 10-15 minutes left let's perfect what we haven't perfected yet!" Ash says as his Pokemon cheer the boy then walks over to Tinkaton and speaks.
"Hey Tinkaton, there's something I want to try" Ash says as the hammer mon looks at Ash curiously. We now go to where Ritchie is. He had the same idea as Ash and wanted to train his Pokemon early. We see an explosion when the smoke clears, we see Zippo panting heavily as Ritchie speaks.
"Okay Zippo that's enough" Ritchie says with the fire lizard nodding it flies back over to Ritchie as the boy looks at the lizard and speaks.
"Today we'll be battling Ash he'll most likely use his Charizard let's make sure we win" "Pika" Ritchie and Sparky say with the fire lizard roaring in agreement. Ritchie smiles, he then looks at his other five Pokémon and speaks.
"The same goes for you guys too let's make sure we win today!" Ritchie says as we see Gobi along with 4 other Pokémon roaring in agreement. After that Ritchie returns his Pokémon, he and Sparky then go to the cafeteria to have some breakfast. When they leave, we look at the battlefield that Zippo was training on, and it's completely destroyed with burn marks everywhere. 40 minutes later the battles have started, the group is at the stadium where AJ's battle against Paul will take place. Watching the battle with the group are Joe, Ritchie, Giselle and Jackie. Leaf and Harrison aren't watching the battle as they're currently having their own battles. Somewhere in the crowd Gary is there, he just finished his battle and is curious to watch Paul's battle against AJ. We now pan over to the group as Jackie speaks.
"Hopefully AJ beats Paul" Jackie says as Giselle speaks.
"He better he needs to get revenge for Joe" Giselle says in anger as Joe speaks.
"But I'm right here" Joe says as Ritchie speaks.
"After watching his battle with Joe Paul wasn't taking the battle seriously until the end will he do the same with AJ?" Ritchie questions as Brock speaks.
"No, I don't believe so we're now at the point where Paul should be taking his battles seriously if he doesn't it could cost Paul" Brock says with Ritchie nodding as Jackie speaks.
"By the way how strong is AJ? I haven't seen him battle yet" Jackie asks as Misty speaks.
"He's a really strong trainer when Ash's Gyarados was a Magickarp it battled AJ's Sandshrew. Even though Ash's Magickarp kept firing water moves Sandshrew wouldn't go down but eventually did. Then recently when Ash was training for the league Ash and AJ had another battle AJ grew stronger, he was giving Ash a tough time and almost won" Misty responds with Jackie nodding as Ash speaks.
"Knowing AJ, he should be a lot stronger now after that battle" Ash says with the group nodding they then look down at the battlefield they see AJ and Paul standing on their side of the battlefield. Both boys look at each other, having serious looks on their faces as the ref appears and speaks.
"This is a full 6v6 battle between AJ and Paul of Veilstone City both trainers are allowed to substitute their Pokemon at any time. The winner will be decided once either side has defeated all of their opponents Pokemon now before we begin let's see what field you'll battle on" The ref says as everyone looks at the screen, they see the lights blinking on the different fields. It keeps blinking until it lands on the grass field the ref then speaks.
"The battle will take place on the rock field!" The ref calls as everyone sees the field change into a rock field the ref then speaks.
"Now that the field's change will both trainers, please bring out your first Pokemon!" The ref says as both trainers speak.
"Go! Conkeldurr!" "Bouffalant stand by for battle" Both trainers say Paul brings out the buffalo who has a serious look on its face. AJ brings out a muscular Pokemon who's holding two stone pillars it also has a serious look on its face. In the stands Ash and Ritchie take out their Pokedex's to scan Conkeldurr.
"Conkeldurr the Muscular Pokémon a pure Fighting Type and the evolved form of Gurdurr. Conkeldurr uses concrete pillars like canes, tossing them with ease" The Pokedex says as Ash speaks.
"So, his Gurdurr evolved" Ash says as Brock speaks.
"Let's see how this battle will go" Brock says with the group nodding they look down on the battlefield as the ref speaks.
"Now that both trainers have sent out their first Pokemon let the battle begin!" The ref calls when he does Paul makes the first move.
"Bouffalant use Swords Dance then Head Charge!" Paul calls Bouffalant roars it sharply increases its attack power its afro then glows bright red and charges forward as AJ speaks.
"Conkeldurr block with your steel pillars then use Bulk Up!" AJ calls Conkeldurr places its stone pillars forward as it blocks Bouffalant's attack. Bouffalant tries to break through but can't all it does is push Conkeldurr back a few feet. Conkeldurr stops itself, it then bulks up its body raising its attack/defense Conkeldurr glares at Bouffalant as AJ speaks.
"Now use Rockslide!" "Dodge Bouffalant!" Both trainers call Conkeldurr summons large boulders around it and fires them at Bouffalant. Boufflant begins to easily dodge the large boulders as its doing so AJ speaks.
"Now use Bulldoze!" AJ calls Conkeldurr roars as it slams its stone pillars on the ground causing the battlefield to shake. Bouffalant loses its footing causing it to trip on the ground it can feel its speed decrease as AJ speaks.
"Now use Dynamic Punch!" AJ calls Conkeldurr puts its steel pillars down it covers its right fist in red energy and jumps forward. As Conkeldurr goes to hit Bouffalant Paul speaks.
"Use Toxic" Paul calls Bouffalant quickly fires a ball of purple liquid that hits Conkeldurr in the face making it stop its advances. Conkeldurr begins to cough as it's now poisoned surprising AJ but his surprised look then goes away as he speaks.
"You just made a mistake Paul" AJ says making Paul confused he then learns what AJ means as Conkeldurr's eyes become red and roars as it can feel its power increase Paul then speaks.
"So, it has the Guts ability" Paul says as AJ speaks.
"Yep, and now it's over for your Bouffalant Conkeldurr Dynamic Punch!" AJ calls Conkeldurr roars as before Paul can make a command Conkeldurr punches Bouffalant with its right fist causing an explosion. When the smoke clears everyone can see Bouffalant its completely knocked out as the ref speaks.
"Bouffalant's unable to battle the winner is Conkeldurr!" The ref calls AJ and Conkeldurr cheer in victory in the stands Giselle speaks.
"Nice AJ got the first win!" Giselle says happily with Joe and Jackie cheering. Ash, Misty, Brock and Ritchie don't cheer they look at Paul and see that he's not fazed he pulls out Bouffalant's Pokeball and speaks.
"Return" Paul says returning the bull he grabs his next Pokeball and speaks.
"Drapion stand by for battle!" Paul says he throws the ball forward as a poison scorpion like Pokemon appears. It roars then gets in a battle stance in the stands Misty speaks.
"Eek a bug" Misty says while having a scared look on her face as Brock speaks.
"AJ will have to be careful with this one Drapion are tough Pokemon to beat" Brock says with the group nodding they continue to look at the battlefield as AJ speaks.
"So, a Drapion's next it looks tough but as long as Conkeldurr lands one good hit on it, it should win" AJ says to himself he looks at Conkeldurr and speaks.
"Let's keep going Conkeldurr!" AJ says with the muscle Pokemon nodding the ref calls for the battle to continue as AJ makes the first move.
"Conkeldurr use Earthquake!" AJ calls Conkeldurr slams its stone pillars on the ground causing the battlefield to shake as Paul speaks.
"Drapion jump in the air and use Pin Missile!" Paul calls Draipion quickly jumps in the air dodging the Earthquake it then points its arms forward and fires multiple pin like missiles at Conkeldurr as AJ speaks.
"Conkeldurr block!" AJ calls Conkeldurr quickly brings up its stone pillars and is easily blocking the pin like missiles. As Conkeldurr is doing that Drapion instantly appears in front of the muscle Pokemon surprising it as AJ speaks.
"Conkeldurr use Drain Punch!" AJ calls Conkeldurr goes to punch Drapion as Paul speaks.
"Use Screech!" Paul calls before Conkeldurr's fist connects Drapion lets out a loud ear-piercing screech that hurts not only Conkeldurr's ears but AJ's along with the crowd. Conkeldurr feels its defense decrease and feels the affects from poison as well Paul then speaks.
"Now Venoshock" Paul calls Drapion shoots out a stream of poison that does major damage to Conkeldurr making it cry out in pain. A few seconds later Conkeldurr gets on its knees and is panting heavily as AJ begins to think.
"This is bad if I keep Conkeldurr in it'll faint" AJ says to himself he then quickly pulls out Conkeldurr's Pokeball and speaks.
"Conkeldurr return!" AJ says returning the muscle Pokemon to its Pokeball in the stands Brock speaks.
"That was a good move on AJ's part to return Conkeldurr" Brock says as Misty speaks.
"I can't believe that Paul was able to bring Conkeldurr to its knees" Misty says as Ritchie speaks.
"This may just be a guess, but Paul's Drapion probably has the Sniper ability which sometimes powers up moves if they become critical hits" Ritchie says with the group nodding while Ash continues to look at the battle in silence. Back on the battlefield AJ grabs his next Pokeball and speaks.
"Seeing as a poison type is out, I'll go with this one Go! Magnezone!" AJ calls he throws the ball forward as his Magnezone appears it looks at Drapion and gets in a battle stance with Drapion doing the same. The ref calls for the battle to continue as Paul speaks.
"Use Dark Pulse!" Paul calls Drapion fires the stream of dark energy it travels down the battlefield going to hit Magnezone as AJ speaks.
"Magnezone use Gyro Ball!" AJ calls Magnezone covers its body in steel energy and begins to spin forward. Magnezone easily passes through the Dark Pulse it keeps going and hits Drapion across the face doing some damage to it. AJ smiles while Paul has a stoic expression on his face as he speaks.
"Drapion grab it" Paul calls Drapion quickly grabs Magnezone with its arms and holds onto it tightly as AJ speaks.
"Magnezone use Gyro Ball to break free!" "Drapion use Fire Fang!" Both trainers call before Magnezone can spin Drapion covers its teeth in fire. The fire then travels down Drapion's arms and hits Magnezone burning it. Magnezone cries out in pain as Paul speaks.
"Now slam it on the ground and use Brutal Swing" Paul calls Drapion nods it slams Magnezone hard on the battlefield and begins to spin. As Drapion's spinning it's dragging the still burning Magnezone on the ground making it groan in pain as Paul speaks.
"Now let it go" Paul calls Drapion roars as it throws Magnezone away. Magnezone is sent crashing into one of the boulders creating a dust cloud as AJ speaks.
"Magnezone!" AJ calls in worry when the dust clears everyone can see Magnezone in the boulder groaning in pain. Paul then returns Drapion to its Pokeball grabs another Pokeball and speaks.
"Centiskorch stand by for battle!" Paul says he throws the ball forward as a fire Centipede appears. The mon has a serious expression on its face, in the stand Misty and Sobble get scared while Ash and Ritchie take out their Pokedex's to scan the mon.
"Centiskorch The Radiator Pokémon. A Fire/Bug type. With a body temperature of nearly 2,000 degrees, it can scorch its opponent with a wave of heat." The Pokedex says back on the battlefield Paul speaks.
"Use Flame Wheel!" Paul calls the flame Centipede becomes a wheel of fire and shoots forward heading for Magnezone as AJ speaks.
"Magnezone use Thunder!" "Dodge" Both trainers call Magnezone quickly fires the electric bolt it heads for Centiskorch but the Centipede easily dodges by jumping in the air. Centiskorch is now above Magnezone it begins to heat its mouth as Paul speaks.
"Flamethrower!" Paul calls AJ doesn't have time to tell Magnezone to dodge as the flame Centipede fires the stream of fire and hits Magnezone. Magnezone cries out in pain as there's an explosion AJ then speaks.
"Magnezone!" AJ calls in worry Centiskorch lands back on the battlefield it looks forward as when the smoke clears everyone can see that Magnezone's knocked out as the ref speaks.
"Magnezone's unable to battle Centiskorch's the winner!" The ref calls Centiskorch roars in victory while Paul's not surprised in the stands Brock speaks.
"By having Drapion take Magnezone's Gyro Ball it allowed Paul to have Drapion grab and use Fire Fang and Brutal Swing to deal damage to Magnezone" Brock says as Ritchie speaks.
"After that he switched out to Centiskorch to finish Magnezone off with Flamethrower" Ritchie says as Jackie speaks.
"Now AJ has lost one Pokemon and has one that's weakened/poisoned. While Paul has 1 Pokemon knocked out and the others have taken very little damage" Jackie says as Misty speaks.
"I hate to say this but Paul's doing good" Misty says with Joe and Giselle nodding. Meanwhile Ash continues to watch in silence and somewhere else in the stands Gary does the same thing. Back on the battlefield AJ's sad that Magnezone lost he then pulls out the mons Pokeball and speaks.
"Magnezone return" AJ says returning the mon when he does he looks at the ball and speaks.
"Thank you Magnezone take a good rest" AJ says he puts the ball back on his belt he grabs his next Pokeball and speaks.
"Floatzel you're up next!" AJ says he throws the ball forward as a bipedal sea weasel Pokemon appears it has a smile on its face and gets in a battle stance. Back in the stands Ash and Ritchie take out their Pokedex's to scan the mon.
"Floatzel, the Sea Weasel Pokémon a pure Water Type and the evolved form of Buizel. Its flotation sac developed as an aid in chasing aquatic prey. Floatzel can also carry people on its back." The Pokedex says Misty gets hearts in her eyes and speaks.
"It looks so cool!" Misty says happily back on the battlefield AJ looks at Floatzel and speaks.
"Let's get revenge for Magnezone Floatzel!" AJ says with Floatzel nodding neither Paul nor Centiskorch are worried the ref calls for the battle to continue as AJ makes the first move.
"Floatzel use Aqua Jet!" AJ calls Floatzel covers its body in water it shoots forward and hits Centiskorch. The flame Centipede is sent sliding back a few feet it groans in pain but looks at Floatzel as Paul speaks.
"Use Bug Buzz!" Paul calls Centiskorch fires out a wave of green bug energy it travels down the battlefield going to hit Floatzel as AJ speaks.
"Floatzel use Ice Spinner!" AJ calls Floatzel covers its body in ice and spins forward. Floatzel easily passes through the Bug Buzz and hits Centiskorch causing damage to it. Floatzel then opens its mouth as AJ speaks.
"Now use Hydro Pump!" "Centiskorch use Protect then Thunder Fang!" Both trainers call Floatzel fires the big stream of water while Centiskorch quickly summons a protective barrier blocking the move. When the Hydro Pump stops and the barrier goes down Centiskorch shoots forward it quickly wraps its body around Floatzel covers its teeth in electricity and bites down on Floatzel's shoulder. Floatzel cries out in pain from the super effective attack as AJ speaks.
"Floatzel use Aqua Tail!" "Centiskorch let go" Both trainers call Floatzel covers its tail in water it goes to hit Centiskorch but the flame Centipede quickly lets go of Floatzel and dodges the attack. Centiskorch gets to a safe distance as Paul pulls out its Pokeball and speaks.
"Centiskorch return" Paul says he returns the flame Centipede back to its Pokeball he grabs his next Pokeball and speaks.
"Electabuzz stand by for battle!" Paul says he throws the ball forward as his Electabuzz appears. The mon looks at Floatzel and smirks back in the stands Ash speaks.
"He has an Electabuzz his Elekid must've evolved" Ash says with Misty and Brock nodding back on the battlefield before AJ can switch out his Pokemon Paul calls for a command.
"Use Thunder!" Paul calls his Electabuzz roars as it summons a large bolt of electricity from the sky. It heads for Floatzel going to hit it as AJ speaks.
"Floatzel use Aqua Jet to dodge then use Sonic Boom!" AJ calls Floatzel covers its body in water and shoots forward dodging the Thunder. Floatzel's tail then glows white, it turns around swinging its tail as it fires a white shockwave. It travels down the battlefield going to hit Electabuzz as Paul speaks.
"Destroy it with Thunder Punch!" Paul calls Electabuzz covers its right fist with electricity and punches the shockwave easily destroying it. Electabuzz has a smile on its face as AJ begins to think.
"It destroyed Floatzel's Sonic boom easily I should switch for now" AJ says to himself he pulls out Floatzel's Pokeball and speaks.
"Floatzel return!" AJ says returning the Sea Weasel he grabs his next Pokeball and speaks.
"Go! Conkeldurr!" AJ says he throws the ball forward as Conkeldurr comes back out. It still feels the damage it took from Drapion but can still battle as Paul speaks.
"Electabuzz use Thunder Punch!" Paul calls Electabuzz covers its fist in electricity and shoots forward going to hit Conkeldurr as AJ speaks.
"Block Conkeldurr!" AJ calls Conkeldurr puts its stone pillars together and successfully blocks Electabuzz's attack. Electabuzz jumps back landing on the battlefield as AJ speaks.
"Now Earthquake!" "Jump Electabuzz!" Both trainers call Conkeldurr suffers from poison but then stomps its foot on the battlefield shaking it. Electabuzz then jumps in the air dodging the move when it does Conkeldurr appears in front of it as AJ speaks.
"Now Superpower!" AJ calls before Paul can call for a command Conkeldurr's body bulks up its steel beam turns crimson red and slams it down hard on Electabuzz's head making it crash back down on the battlefield. Electabuzz stands back up it groans it pain then sees Conkeldurr falling towards it as AJ speaks.
"Now use Drain Punch!" "Dodge Electabuzz!" Both trainers call Electabuzz quickly backs away as Conkeldurr punches the battlefield instead causing it to crack. Electabuzz begins to spark its body as Paul speaks.
"Now Thunder!" Paul calls Electabuzz roars it fires the large electric bolt at Conkeldurr as AJ speaks.
"Block it Conkeldurr!" AJ calls Conkeldurr quickly holds its stone Pillars forward and begins to block the Thunder. The electric bolt tries to break through Conkeldurr's defense but the muscle mon roars it swings out its arm and destroys the Thunder the moment it does that Electabuzz instantly appears in front of Conkeldurr surprising it and AJ as Paul speaks.
"Use Screech then Thunder Punch!" "Conkeldurr dodge!" Both trainers call Conkeldurr can't dodge in time as the poison stops it. Electabuzz then lets out a loud ear-piercing Screech hurting Conkeldurr's and AJ's ears. Conkeldurr feels its defense getting lower as Electabuzz then covers its right fist in electricity and punches Conkeldurr hard in the stomach. Conkeldurr coughs in pain as it's sent flying crashing below AJ's feet laying on its back as AJ speaks.
"Conkeldurr!" AJ calls to the mon he looks at it and sees that it's knocked out the ref then speaks.
"Conkeldurr is unable to battle Electabuzz is the winner!" The ref calls Electabuzz smiles while Paul nods. In the stands Jackie speaks.
"Darn Conkeldurr lost" Jackie says as Brock speaks.
"Unfortunately, Conkeldurr was going to be defeated sooner or later but I guess AJ was hoping that Conkeldurr would do more damage to Electabuzz before being defeated" Brock says with the others nodding. Back on the battlefield AJ returns Conkeldurr telling it thank you he then begins to speak.
"Man, Paul's strong he's putting a lot of pressure on me, but this is what I expected" AJ says to himself he grabs his next Pokeball looks at Paul and speaks.
"You're really strong Paul but now it's time for me to get serious and my next Pokemon will get me back in control of the battle!" AJ states while holding a Pokeball forward making Paul curious as he speaks.
"Well, what are you waiting for bring it out already" Paul says as AJ speaks.
"Alright here it is Come Out Hydreigon!" AJ says he throws the ball forward as what appears is a black, blue and purple 3 headed dragon Pokemon. When the mon appears it lets out a mighty roar creating a big shockwave that blows Electabuzz back a few feet. Paul looks at the mon he can feel a lot of power from it and smirks. In the stands Ash speaks.
"Who's that Pokemon?" Ash says as he and Ritchie take out their Pokedex's to scan the mon.
"Hydreigon, the Brutal Pokémon. A Dark/Dragon type and the fully evolved form of Deino. Hydreigon bites down on anything that moves. There are numerous legends of it destroying many villages." The Pokedex says as Ash speaks.
"So, that's a Hydreigon it looks cool!" Ash says while having stars in his eyes as Brock speaks.
"Hydreigon are very strong Pokemon with this it should give AJ a big chance to win" Brock says with the group nodding. They turn their heads back to the battlefield as Paul begins to think.
"So, a Hydreigon's his next choice" Paul says to himself he looks at Electabuzz and speaks.
"Electabuzz I'm keeping you in for now" Paul says with Electabuzz nodding the ref calls for the battle to continue as AJ speaks.
"Here we come Paul Hydreigon use Tri Attack!" AJ calls Hydreigon roars as the 3 heads fire beams of Fire, Ice and Lightning. They head for Electabuzz, going to hit it as Paul speaks.
"Dodge!" Paul calls Electabuzz begins to dodge the beams it easily dodges the electric and ice beams but gets hit by the fire one causing it to back away a few feet. Electabuzz groans in pain as AJ calls for his next command.
"Now Dragon Rush!" "Electabuzz block!" Both trainers call Hydreigon roars it covers its body in dragon energy and flies at Electabuzz. Electabuzz quickly brings up its arms and connects with Hydreigon. Electabuzz is blocking with all its might, it tries to push the Hydreigon away, but the dragon roars it knocks away Electabuzz's arms and hits it causing an explosion. Everyone sees Hydreigon appear from the smoke it flies back in the air, when the smoke clears Electabuzz is still standing but is panting heavily. Paul then pulls out Electabuzz's Pokeball and speaks.
"Electabuzz return" Paul says as Electabuzz goes back in its Pokeball Paul grabs his next Pokeball and speaks.
"Drapion stand by for battle!" Paul says he throws the ball forward sending in Drapion again. The poison scorpion roars then looks at Hydreigon and gets in a battle stance with Hydreigon doing the same AJ then speaks.
"So, Drapion's back in Hydreigon let's keep going!" AJ says with Hydreigon roaring in agreement. The ref calls for the battle to continue as AJ calls for a command.
"Hydreigon use Tri Attack!" "Drapion Pin Missile!" Both trainers call the two-mons fire their moves they collide creating an explosion. From the explosion appear some of Drapion's Pin Missile's, they head for Hydreigon as AJ speaks.
"Hydreigon dodge then use Dragon Rush!" AJ calls Hydreigon easily avoids the Pin Missiles. Once it does that it covers its body in dragon energy and flies at Drapion as Paul speaks.
"Drapion counter with Cross Poison!" Paul calls Drapion covers its arms in poison then forms them in an X Shape. Drapion then swings its arms out sending a cross of poison at the incoming Hydreigon and connects with it creating an explosion knocking Hydreigon back as Paul speaks.
"Now grab Hydreigon!" Paul calls Drapion shoots its arms forward its right arm grabs Hydreigon's left head while the left grabs Hydreigon's right head. Hydreigon tries to pull away but Drapion's holding on tightly as AJ speaks.
"Hydreigon use Dragon Pulse!" AJ calls the middle head is about to fire the dragon beam as Paul speaks.
"Use Toxic!" Paul calls Drapion quickly spits out a Toxic blob from its mouth and hits the middle head. Hydreigon begins to cough as it's now poison surprising AJ as Paul speaks.
"Now Venoshock!" "Hydreigon Hyper Voice!" Both trainers call before Drapion fires the stream of poison Hydreigon lets out a loud roar that hurts Drapion's ears and causing damage to it. Drapion stops using its move and lets go of Hydreigon so it can cover its ears AJ then speaks.
"Great job Hydreigon now use Dragon Pulse!" AJ calls Hydreigon roars as it fires the dragon beam which hits Drapion causing an explosion making the scorpion skid back groaning in pain as AJ speaks.
"Now finish it off with Focus Blast!" AJ calls Hydreigon suffers from poison damage but pushes though it summons the orange ball of fighting energy and shoots it at Drapion. Paul doesn't have time to call for a command as the Focus Blast hits creating an explosion. When the dust clears everyone can see Drapion it's laying on the ground knocked out as the ref speaks.
"Drapion's unable to battle Hydreigon's the winner!" The ref calls AJ and Hydreigon cheer in victory the crowd claps for them as well in the stands Jackie speaks.
"Nice AJ managed to defeat another one of Paul's Pokemon" Jackie says as Brock speaks.
"True but he still needs to be cautious" Brock says with the group nodding back on the battlefield Paul returns Drapion back to its Pokeball and puts the ball back in his Pocket. Meanwhile on the other side of the battlefield Hydreigon groans from the toxic AJ notices he pulls out Hydreigon's Pokeball and speaks.
"Hydreigon return" AJ says with the dragon nodding it goes back in its Pokeball as Paul speaks.
"So, you're returning it" Paul says as AJ speaks.
"Yep, I want Hydriegon to take a break for now" AJ responds with Paul nodding. Paul then pulls out another Pokeball he throws it and speaks.
"Honchkrow stand by for battle!" Paul says as the boss bird appears it flies in the air having a serious look on its face as AJ speaks.
"A Honchkrow's next then I'll go with you" AJ says he grabs his next Pokeball and speaks.
"Come back out Floatzel!" AJ says bringing the Sea Weasel back in. Floatzel still feels the damage it took from Centiskorch earlier but shakes it off. Floatzel looks at Honckrow with the bird looking at it the ref calls for the battle to continue as AJ calls for a command.
"Floatzel use Aqua Jet to get close then use Ice Fang!" AJ calls Floatzel quickly covers its body in water and shoots forward instantly reaching Honchkrow. Floatzel then covers its teeth in ice as it goes to bite Honchkrow Paul calls for a command.
"Honchkrow use Protect then Thunder Wave!" Paul calls Honchkrow summons a protective barrier blocking Floatzel's attack it then fires out waves of electricity that hit Floatzel making it fall back on the battlefield as AJ speaks.
"Floatzel!" AJ calls in worry, Floatzel stands back up with electricity flowing all throughout its body as it's now paralyzed AJ grits his teeth as Paul speaks.
"Now use Night Slash!" Paul calls both of Honchkrow's wings glow purple. The bird then flies at the paralyzed Floatzel going to hit it as AJ speaks.
"Floatzel inflate your floatation sacs!" AJ calls with Floatzel nodding it takes in a deep breath as its floatation sacs grow bigger. When Honchkrow hits Floatzel it can't break through its defenses the bird is then bounced away surprising Paul as AJ speaks.
"Great now use Ice Beam!" AJ calls Floatzel quickly fires the icy beam and hits Honchkrow. The bird cries out in pain as it falls on the ground groaning in pain. Back in the stands Brock speaks.
"That was smart of AJ seeing as Floatzel can't move well because of the paralysis he had Floatzel inflate its floatation sacs which minimized the damage it took from the Night Slash and knocked Honchkrow away. Then he had Floatzel land an Ice Beam which caused super effective damage against Honchkrow." Brock says with the group nodding back on the battlefield AJ speaks.
"Floatzel let's finish off Honchkrow use Aqua Jet and Ice Fang!" AJ calls Floatzel groans from the paralysis but shakes it off and covers its body in water. Floatzel then shoots forward covering its teeth in ice as it's just inches away from hitting Honchkrow Paul speaks.
"Honchkrow use Icy Wind!" Paul calls surprising AJ before he can tell Floatzel to dodge Honchkrow opens its mouth and fires the icy wind making Floatzel stop its advances. Floatzel groans in pain and can feel its speed decrease as Paul speaks.
"Now U Turn!" "Dodge Floatzel!" Both trainers call Floatzel doesn't have time to dodge as Honchkrow glows in green bug energy and shoots forward hitting Floatzel's stomach. The Sea Weasel coughs in pain while Honchkrow smiles the boss bird goes back in its Pokeball as Electabuzz comes out taking its place as Paul speaks.
"Now Thunder!" Paul calls AJ doesn't have time to call for a command as Electabuzz quickly fires the large bolt of electricity. Floatzel's unable to dodge because of the paralysis and its speed decrease the Thunder then hits. Floatzel cries out in pain from the electric move there's then an explosion creating a dust cloud as AJ yells.
"Floatzel!" AJ yells in concern when the dust clears everyone can see Floatzel it's laying on its stomach knocked out as the ref speaks.
"Floatzel's unable to battle Electabuzz's the winner!" The ref calls both Paul and Electabuzz nod while the crowd cheers. Back in the stands Joe speaks.
"Darn AJ's Floatzel lost" Joe says as Ritchie speaks.
"Paul knew that after Honchkrow got hit by the Ice Beam AJ would try to have Floatzel attack Honchkrow with Ice Fang, so Paul had Honchkrow use Icy Wind to catch Floatzel off guard and lower its speed. Then he had Honchkrow switch out with Electabuzz so it could finish Floatzel off" Ritchie says with the group nodding they keep looking at the battlefield. AJ takes out Floatzel's Pokeball returning the Sea Weasel he looks at the ball telling Floatzel thank you as Paul speaks.
"It was foolish of you to try and use the same strategy you tried earlier you should've kept attacking from a distance" Paul says as AJ speaks.
"That's true I probably should've done that I was just hoping that Floatzel would've been able to hit Honchkrow before it attacked but I was wrong. I'm also pretty confident that even if I kept attacking from a distance you probably had another plan in mind" AJ responds with Paul nodding. AJ then grabs his next Pokeball and speaks.
"Now here's my next Pokemon Go! Emboar!" AJ says he throws the ball forward as his shiny Emboar appears. When the pig comes out it lets out a mighty roar creating a shockwave that blows Electabuzz back a few feet while Paul just stares at it. Back in the stands Misty speaks.
"Nice he's using Emboar next" Misty says as Joe speaks.
"Hopefully it's able to get AJ his next win" Joe says with the group nodding. Back on the battlefield Emboar stops roaring and looks at Electabuzz as AJ speaks.
"Emboar let's get revenge for Floatzel!" AJ says with Emboar nodding the pig looks at Electabuzz and gets in a battle stance with Electabuzz doing the same. The ref calls for the battle to continue as Paul calls for the first move.
"Use Thunder!" Paul calls Electabuzz sparks up its body and fires the large electric bolt at Emboar as AJ speaks.
"Knock it away with Hammer Arm then use Flamethrower!" AJ calls Emboar's right arm glows white and backhands the Thunder easily knocking it away. Emboar then fires the stream of fire at Electabuzz as Paul speaks.
"Use Protect!" Paul calls Electabuzz holds its hands forward summoning the protective barrier blocking Emboar's attack. When the barrier goes down Emboar appears in front of Electabuzz as AJ speaks.
"Now Hammer Arm!" AJ calls before Paul can call for a command Emboar's left arm glows white and punches Electabuzz hard in the stomach. Electabuzz coughs in pain as it's sent flying crashing below Paul's feet knocked out as the ref speaks.
"Electabuzz is unable to battle Emboar's the winner!" The ref calls AJ and Emboar cheer in victory along with the crowd. Paul has a stoic expression on his face, he returns Electabuzz to its Pokeball he then grabs his next Pokeball and throws it.
"Centiskorch stand by for battle!" Paul says sending the flaming Centipede back in. It looks at Emboar and gets into a battle stance with Emboar doing the same the ref calls for the battle to continue as AJ makes the first move.
"Let's go Emboar use Earthquake!" AJ calls Emboar stomps its foot on the ground causing it to shake as Paul speaks.
"Use Protect!" Paul calls Centiskorch quickly summons a protective barrier and successfully blocks the Earthquake. When the protective barrier goes down Emboar appears in front of Centiskorch it has its arms ready as AJ speaks.
"Now Hammer Arm!" "Dodge then use Wrap!" Both trainers call when Emboar goes to hit Centiskorch the flaming centipede easily dodges both of Emboar's arms. Centiskorch then quickly wraps its body around Emboar and begins squeezing it causing some damage to it as AJ speaks.
"Emboar break out of there!" AJ calls Emboar tries but can't as Centiskorch's holding on tightly Paul then speaks.
"Now use Scald!" Paul calls Centiskorch takes in a deep breath and fires a hot stream of water in Emboar's face causing super effective damage making Emboar cry out in pain as AJ speaks.
"Emboar use Bulk Up!" AJ calls Emboar roars it increases its attack/defense then manages to swing out its arms breaking free of Centiskorch's wrap. Emboar then grabs Centiskorch's head as AJ speaks.
"Now slam it on the ground!" AJ calls Emboar roars as it slams Centiskorch's face hard on the battlefield. The flaming centipede groans in pain with Emboar standing over it and raises its arms as AJ speaks.
"Now use Hammer Arm!" AJ calls both of Emboar's arms glow white it goes to hit Centiskorch as Paul speaks.
"Centiskorch use Fire Lash to trip Emboar then use Scald!" Paul calls Centiskorch quickly shoots out a flaming whip that hits Emboar's leg making the flaming pig lose its footing and fall on the ground it also feels its defense decrease. Centiskorch then shoots out the hot stream of water from its mouth and hits Emboar causing more damage to it and making it slide back a few feet. Paul then pulls out Centiskorch's Pokeball and speaks.
"Centiskorch return and Honchkrow come out!" Paul says he returns the flaming centipede then brings the boss bird back in Paul then makes a command.
"Use Acrobatics!" Paul calls Honchkrow glows blue then quickly flies towards Emboar as AJ speaks.
"Emboar use Flamethrower!" AJ calls Emboar quickly stands up and fires the stream of fire. Honchkrow easily dodges the move it reaches Emboar and begins hitting the pig back and forth causing super effective damage. Honchkrow hits Emboar one more time and sends it flying making it crash below AJ's feet knocked out as the ref speaks.
"Emboar's unable to battle Honchkrow's the winner!" The ref calls Honchkrow smiles while AJ has a surprised look on his face in the stands Ash speaks.
"AJ's Emboar lost that easily? When I battled it, it was giving my Pokemon a hard time" Ash says as Brock speaks.
"Paul's Honchkrow most likely has the Super Luck ability which heightens the users critical hit ratios of its moves." Brock says as Ritchie speaks.
"Also, Centiskorch hit Emboar's leg with Fire Lash which decreased its defense" Ritchie says with everyone nodding they turn their heads back to the battlefield. AJ's still surprised that Emboar went down he was hoping it would've lasted longer AJ shakes his head pulls out Emboar's Pokeball and speaks.
"Emboar return" AJ says returning the fire pig AJ then grabs his next Pokeball and speaks.
"Hydreigon come back out!" AJ says he throws the ball forward as his Hydreigon appears. The dragon lets out a mighty roar then groans from the poison damage, but it can still battle. Hydreigon glares at Honchkrow with Honchkrow looking at it the ref calls for the battle to continue as Paul makes the first move.
"Use Screech!" Paul calls Honchkrow roars letting out a loud ear-piercing screech it heads for Hydreigon as AJ speaks.
"Counter with Hyper Voice!" AJ calls the 3 headed dragon lets out a loud roar it easily bypasses the Screech and hits Honchkrow causing some damage to it. Honchkrow then begins to fall on the battlefield as AJ speaks.
"Now use Dragon Rush!" AJ calls Hydreigon roars, it covers its body in dragon energy and flies at Honchkrow going to hit it as Paul speaks.
"Use Double Team!" Paul calls when Hydreigon's just inches away from hitting Honchkrow the boss bird quickly summons multiple copies of itself avoiding the move. Hydreigon looks around and sees that it's surrounded by multiple Honchkrow's Paul then calls for his next command.
"Now use Air Cutter!" "Use Tri Attack Hydreigon!" Both trainers call Honchkrow along with its copies begin firing multiple X-shaped slashes of wind at Hydreigon. The 3 headed dragon then fires beams of fire, ice and electric in all directions easily destroying the Air Cutters along with Honchkrow's clones. The electric beam heads for Honchkrow as Paul speaks.
"Dodge then use Tailwind!" Paul calls Honchkrow easily dodges the electric beam and begins to flap its wings making it so its teammates will be faster AJ then speaks.
"Hydreigon use Dragon Pulse!" "Use U-Turn!" Both trainers call before Hydreigon can fire the dragon beam Honchkrow glows in green bug energy it quickly flies forward and hits Hydreigon's stomach causing super effective damage. Hydreigon is then sent crashing back down on the battlefield as Honchkrow goes back to its Pokeball allowing Centiskorch to take its place as Paul speaks.
"Now Bug Buzz!" "Hydreigon look out!" Both trainers call Centiskorch roars as it fires waves of green bug energy that heads for Hydreigon. Hydreigon can't dodge in time as it suffers from the Toxic the Bug Buzz then connects, Hydreigon roars in pain as the move is causing super effective damage. When the Bug Buzz goes away Hydreigon falls on the ground laying on its stomach knocked out as the ref speaks.
"Hydreigon's unable to battle Centiskorch's the winner!" The ref calls Centiskorch roars in victory while AJ's surprised. Back in the stands Giselle speaks.
"Now Hydreigon's lost" Giselle says as Brock speaks.
"And now AJ has one Pokemon left. Thanks to Honchkrow using Tailwind it'll allow its teammates to make the first move" Brock says with the group nodding they continue to look at the battlefield they see AJ grab his last Pokeball he looks at it and begins to think.
"I'm down to my last Pokemon things aren't looking good for me but with you we should be able to win" AJ says to himself he looks forward and speaks.
"Go! Sandslash!" AJ says he throws the ball forward as his Sandslash appears it has a serious look on its face ready to battle. Back in the stands Misty speaks.
"Sandslash is finally here with this AJ should be able to beat Centiskorch" Misty says as Brock speaks.
"Hmmm while AJ's Sandslash is strong I'm confident that Paul's Centiskorch still has a few tricks up its sleeve" Brock says with the group nodding. They continue to look at the battlefield the ref calls for the battle to continue as AJ speaks.
"Let's go Sandslash use Drill Run!" AJ calls Sandslash becomes a drill and shoots forward going to hit Centiskorch. The flaming centipede takes a deep breath as Paul speaks.
"Use Scald!" Paul calls Centiskorch quickly fires the stream of hot water from its mouth. As the water and Sandslash are about to collide AJ speaks.
"Sandslash dodge then use Strength!" AJ calls Sandslash narrowly dodges by moving to the left and keeps heading towards Centiskorch. Sandslash then reaches Centiskorch quickly bulks up its body and goes to strike the centipede as Paul speaks.
"Power Whip" Paul calls surprising AJ Centiskorch quickly summons a green whip from the ground and jabs Sandslash hard in the stomach. Sandslash coughs in pain as it's sent flying in the air then comes crashing back down landing on its back as AJ speaks.
"Sandslash!" AJ calls out to the mon. Sandslash groans in pain but stands back up and glares at Centiskorch with Centiskorch glaring back. In the stands Ash speaks.
"I wasn't expecting Centiskorch to use Power Whip" Ash says as Brock speaks.
"Paul knew AJ would have Sandslash shoot forward and easily dodge the Scald. Then when Sandslash got closer it allowed him to have Centiskorch use Power Whip to catch AJ and Sandslash off guard." Brock says with the group nodding. Back on the battlefield AJ looks at Sandslash he sees it panting heavily and begins to think.
"That one Power Whip did that much damage to Sandslash. I trained Sandslash a lot to take water attacks but not grass type moves" AJ says to himself as Paul speaks.
"Since you're taking your time thinking on what to do next, I'll attack Centiskorch use Scald!" Paul calls Centiskorch quickly shoots out the hot stream of water as AJ speaks.
"Sandslash jump in the air to dodge then use Swords Dance and Stone Edge!" AJ calls Sandslash quickly jumps in the air dodging the hot stream of water. Sandslash then sharply raises its attack power then fires multiple sharp stones at Centiskorch as Paul speaks.
"Power Whip!" Paul calls Centiskorch summons two large green vines they shoot forward and begin to easily destroy the Stone Edge. While that's happening Sandslash lands back down on the battlefield as AJ speaks.
"Now Drill Run!" AJ calls Sandslash quickly becomes a drill and shoots forward heading for Centiskorch as Paul speaks.
"Power Whip!" Paul calls Centiskorch finishes destroying the sharp stones then commands its vines to head for Sandslash instead. As Sandslash and the vines are just inches away from hitting each other AJ smiles and speaks.
"Sandslash use Dig!" AJ calls Sandslash quickly digs underground dodging the move. Sandslash continues to dig underground until it appears under Centiskorch's stomach and hits it. The flaming centipede coughs in pain as it's then sent flying in the air with Sandslash going after it as Paul speaks.
"Use Power Whip!" "Sandslash Drill Run!" Both trainers call Centiskorch readjust itself and summons the green vines sending them at Sandslash. Sandslash turns into a drill spinning fast and manages to easily dodge the green vines. Sandslash passes by Centiskorch getting above it, Sandslash has its claws ready as AJ speaks.
"Now Use Strength!" Use Scald!" Both trainers call Sandslash bulks up its body and falls towards Centiskorch. The flaming centipede quickly fires the stream of hot water, Sandslash isn't worried as it dives in the water and begins to swim inside it surprising Paul and Centiskorch. While swimming groans in pain from being inside the Scald but keeps going until it breaks out of the move. Sandslash is now in front of Centiskorch as AJ yells.
"NOW SANDSLASH!" "SLASH!" Both AJ and Sandslash yell as Sandslash jabs Centiskorch's chest with its left claw. The flaming centipede coughs in pain as both it and Sandslash crash back down on the battlefield creating a dust cloud. Everyone looks at the battlefield waiting to see the results when the dust clears, they can see Sandslash panting heavily while standing over Centiskorch who's unconscious the ref then speaks.
"Centiskorch's unable to battle Sandslash's the winner!" The ref calls AJ and Sandslash cheer in victory with the crowd cheering too, and the Tailwind goes away. AJ then looks at Sandslash and speaks.
"Great job Sandslash!" AJ says as the ground mouse looks at AJ it smiles and flexes its muscles. In the stands Joe speaks.
"Nice Sandslash took down Centiskorch!" Joe says happily with Giselle, Misty and Jackie happily cheering. Meanwhile Ash, Brock and Ritchie stay quiet and continue looking at the battlefield. Paul pulls out Centiskorch's Pokeball and returns it. AJ then looks at Paul and speaks.
"Are you bringing in your Honchkrow next?!" AJ asks Paul looks at him and speaks.
"Why would I do that? there's no point instead I'll use this one" Paul responds as he pulls out his next Pokeball. Back in the stands Ritchie speaks.
"So, he's going to bring out his last Pokemon I wonder who it is?" Ritchie questions as one of Ash's Pokeball's wriggle and his Charizard appears surprising everyone Ash looks at Charizard and speaks.
"Seeing as you came out that means Paul's last Pokemon is-" Before Ash can finish back on the battlefield Paul speaks.
"Torterra stand by for battle!" Paul says he throws the ball high in the air as his Torterra appears. The continent Pokemon lands on the battlefield shaking it and lets out a mighty roar creating a big shockwave that blows AJ and Sandslash back a couple of feet. Torterra then stops roaring as it looks at Sandslash AJ then speaks.
"This Torterra is strong" AJ says to himself. Back in the stands the group look at the battlefield as Joe speaks.
"His final Pokemon is a Torterra" Joe says as Giselle speaks.
"I can feel the amount of power it has" Giselle says as Ash speaks.
"Yeah, Paul's Torterra's strong when we were traveling in the Safari Zone Paul used it against a wild Dragonite that was giving us trouble and defeated it with one Stone Edge" Ash says surprising Joe, Giselle, Jackie and Ritchie as Ritchie speaks.
"In that case then I'm not sure how AJ will be able to defeat it especially since Sandslash is pretty tired from its battle with Centiskorch" Ritchie says as Brock speaks.
"Paul's Torterra is also a very bulky Pokemon so AJ will need to think of a way to deal with that" Brock says with the group nodding. They continue to look at the battlefield as Charizard looks down at Torterra. Torterra then takes a quick glance in the stands and sees Charizard but then turns its attention back to Sandslash as AJ speaks.
"Sandslash I know you're tired but let's keep going!" AJ says with Sandslash nodding it gets in a battle stance with Torterra doing the same. The ref calls for the battle to continue as AJ speaks.
"Sandslash use Swords Dance then Stone Edge!" AJ calls Sandslash roars it sharply increases its attack power then fires multiple large sharp stones at Torterra. Neither Paul nor the grass turtle are fazed as Paul speaks.
"Razor Leaf" Paul calls Torterra fires multiple razor-sharp leaves that easily cut through all of the Stone Edges and head for Sandslash as AJ speaks.
"Sandslash use Drill Run to dodge!" AJ calls Sandslash becomes a drill and shoots forward and maneuvers through the sharp leaves. Sandslash then makes it in front of Torterra and gets its claws ready as AJ speaks.
"Now use Strength!" "Take the hit Torterra" Both trainers call Sandslash bulks up its body and slams both of its claws on Torterra's head making the ground below crack a little bit. AJ and Sandslash feel as though they did some damage to Torterra but the continent Pokemon opens its eyes as Paul speaks.
"Knock it away" Paul calls Torterra swings its head and easily knocks Sandslash 10 feet away. Sandslash lands back on the battlefield it lifts up its right arm as AJ speaks.
"Use Fissure!" AJ calls Sandslash punches the ground hard with its right fist creating a large crack on the battlefield. The move heads for Torterra as Paul speaks.
"Earth Power" Paul calls Torterra stomps its right foot creating a crack on the battlefield too. Torterra's Earth Power easily passes through Sandslash's Fissure surprising both AJ and Sandslash. The Earth power keeps heading for Sandslash as AJ speaks.
"Sandslash dodge!" AJ calls but was too late the Earth Power hits Sandslash causing damage and sending it soaring high into the air. Sandslash then begins to fall back down to the battlefield as Paul speaks.
"End it with Leaf Storm" "Sandslash Dodge!" Both trainers call the tree on Torterra's back glows green as it then fires a storm of leaves at Sandslash. The ground mouse doesn't have time to dodge as the Leaf Storm consumes it, Sandslash cries out in pain as it's then sent flying going pass AJ and crashing into the wall behind him as AJ yells.
"SANDSLASH!" AJ yells in concern but Sandslash doesn't respond it falls on the ground knocked out as the ref makes the call.
"Sandslash's unable to battle Torterra's the winner. Seeing as AJ has no more Pokemon left this means that Paul is the victor and will move on to the next round!" The ref calls Paul and Torterra nod while the crowd cheers for them. AJ has a shocked look on his face and clinches his fist in frustration. In the stands the group is surprised that AJ lost as Giselle speaks.
"I can't believe that AJ lost" Giselle says as Jackie speaks.
"Me neither I thought that he would've lasted in the league longer" Jackie says as Brock speaks.
"From watching the battle Paul was in control the entire time" Brock says with the group nodding. Ash along with his Pokemon stare at Paul and Torterra. Ash's Charizard is impressed by Torterra's strength and continues to look at it with Torterra looking back. The grass then turns around to face his trainer as Paul speaks.
"Good work return" Paul says with Torterra nodding as it goes back to its Pokeball before Paul leaves, he then looks over at AJ who's made it over to Sandslash. AJ picks up the ground mouse and speaks.
"Hey Sandslash, are you okay?" AJ asks as Sandslash opens its eyes it looks at AJ and nods but has a sad look on its face as AJ speaks.
"Yeah, I'm sad we lost too but you along with everyone else did their best" AJ says with Sandslash nodding. The two then look over at Paul who looks at them Paul then puts his hands in his pockets and begins walking away. Before Paul leaves the stadium, he looks at the crowd and sees Gary, the two look at each other for a few seconds until Paul walks out of the stadium. AJ returns Sandslash to its Pokeball then walks out of the stadium too, back in the stands Ash speaks.
"Come on let's go see AJ" Ash says with the group nodding they quickly leave the stadium to go find AJ. A few minutes later AJ is currently in the trainer hall he lets out a sigh then notices the group run over to him. When they're close enough Ash speaks.
"Hey AJ, are you okay?" Ash asks as AJ speaks.
"Well, I'll admit I'm frustrated that I lost but I also feel satisfied. My Pokemon and I gave it everything we had but in the end, Paul was the better/stronger trainer" AJ responds with the group nodding as he continues to speak.
"But even though I lost I'll continue to train and one day I'll beat Paul" AJ states as the group smile happy to see that AJ's okay, they then hear a voice.
"There you are" The voice says the group turn around Ash, Misty and Brock get surprised looks on their faces as Ash speaks.
"Mom and Prof. Oak?!" Ash exclaims while looking at the woman and old man who've smiles on their faces waving hello. The rest of the group is surprised too as Ash speaks.
"What're you two doing here?" Ash asks as Delia speaks.
"To cheer you on of course" Delia responds as Brock speaks.
"But what about the Pokemon at the lab?" Brock asks as Oak speaks.
"Oh, they're fine Daisy's there to take care of them" The old man responds with the group nodding. Giselle then walks over to Delia she stares at the woman while Delia stares at her and speaks.
"Um is something wrong?" Delia asks as Giselle speaks.
"You're Ashy Kins mom? my name's Giselle I just wanted to say that you're very pretty" Giselle says making Delia blush as she speaks.
"Oh, how kind of you thank you and did you just say Ashy Kins?" Delia says as Giselle nods, she quickly wraps her arms around Ash's right arm and speaks.
"Yes, you heard that right I gave Ash the nickname Ashy Kins as one day he'll be my boyfriend" Giselle responds surprising Delia and Oak. Ash blushes in embarrassment he looks at Giselle and speaks.
"Giselle don't say that in front of my mom besides I never said that I was going to be your boyfriend" Ash says as Giselle speaks.
"That's true but I remember you saying that you're not ready to have a girlfriend right now so one day you'll want one and I'm excited for that day. That'll also give us more time to get to know each other more too." Giselle says happily while she continues to cling to Ash's arm making him uncomfortable Misty then walks over and grabs Giselle's right ear. Misty then pulls Giselle off of Ash the girl looks at Misty and speaks.
"Hey what do you think you're doing your getting in the way!" Giselle says as Misty speaks.
"I'm doing what any friend would do Ash was starting to feel uncomfortable, so I pulled you away from him" Misty responds as Giselle speaks.
"Please your just jealous that I was the one that hugged Ashy Kins arm and not you" Giselle says while having a smug look on her face making Misty blush as she speaks.
"That's not the reason you're wrong!" Misty says in anger as Giselle speaks.
"Well, your face says otherwise" Giselle responds making Misty angry. The two girls then start to get into an argument with Brock, Joe, AJ and Jackie trying to calm them down. Ash, Ritchie, Oak and Delia look at them and chuckle. Delia looks at Ash and speaks.
"I must say Ash you've made wonderful friends on your journey" Delia says with Ash nodding Delia then walks over to Ash, she wraps him in a hug and speaks.
"Ash I'm so proud seeing you make it so far in the league" Delia says with Ash nodding as he speaks.
"Thanks mom but could you please let go you're embarrassing me in front of my friends" Ash says as Delia denies the request and continues to hug Ash making everyone laugh. Everyone then hear another voice.
"Will Ash Ketchum and Ritchie please make their way to the battlefield!" The voice on the speaker says Ash and Ritchie look at each other as Ritchie speaks.
"Well Ash it's finally time for our battle see ya on the battlefield" Ritchie says as he holds out his hand. Delia lets go of Ash as he looks at Ritchie, he smiles grabs Ritchie's hand and speaks.
"Yeah, and let's give it everything we got" Ash responds smiling with Ritchie smiling too. The two boys shake each other's hands then part ways going to the battlefield.
15 minutes later Ash and Ritchie have made it to the battlefield and are on their sides. They both have smiles on their faces excited to battle each other. Meanwhile in the stands we see Misty, Brock, AJ, Giselle, Jackie, Joe, Giselle, Leaf and Harrison (Leaf and Harrison have finished their battles). They're looking forward to watching the battle as Joe speaks.
"Man, I'm excited to watch this battle" Joe says as AJ speaks.
"Me too I remember watching their battle on the SS Anne I'm excited to see what they have in store for us this time" AJ says with the group nodding as Giselle speaks.
"Even though I consider Ritchie a friend I'm giving all my support to Ashy Kins" Giselle says as she pulls out her Go Ash flag, Harrison then speaks.
"And I'm giving all my support to Ritchie" Harrison responds with the group nodding. We then pan over to the rest of the crowd sitting in different spots are Gary and Paul. Next, we go to the room where Red, Goodshow, Blue and the elite 4 are Oak and Delia have joined them and are also excited to watch the battle as Delia speaks.
"I'm going to make sure to cheer a lot for Ash" Delia says with Rose agreeing with her Oak then looks at Red and speaks.
"By the way Red didn't you say that someone else will be joining us too?" Oak asks as Red speaks.
"Yep, and he's here now" Red responds everyone see the door open they look at the person and see a man wearing shorts, a Hawaiian shirt, sunglasses and has brown hair. Everyone looks at him as Delia speaks.
"It's Scott" Delia says happily as Scott speaks.
"Hello everyone, it's been a while" Scott says with the others agreeing as Goodshow speaks.
"I'm surprised to see you here Scott you're usually a very busy man" Goodshow says with Scott nodding as he speaks.
"You're right but I was able to make some time in my schedule as I wanted to watch this battle" Scott responds as Blue speaks.
"I see so Ash and Ritchie interest you?" Blue asks as Scott speaks.
"Yes, after I watched the battle, they had with each other on the SS Anne I grew an interest in them, and I've been really looking forward to seeing their battle in the league" Scott responds with the group nodding as Red speaks.
"Well, I think you're going to enjoy this one a lot as they've both become a lot stronger and have been doing great in the league" Red responds with Scott nodding they then turn their heads to the screen to watch the battle as the ref speaks.
"This is a 6v6 full battle between Ash Ketchum of Pallet Town and Ritchie from Littleroot Town. Both trainers are allowed to substitute their Pokémon at any time. Now before the battle begins let's see what kind of field they'll battle on!" The ref says as everyone looks at the screen, they see the different fields and a light begins to blink on each of the fields. After a few seconds the blinking stops as it lands on the rock field the ref then speaks.
"The battle shall take place on the rock field!" The ref calls as everyone sees the plain field change into a rock field as Ash speaks.
"So, I'm battling on a rock field today nice" Ash says while smiling as the ref speaks.
"Now that the field has changed will both trainers, please send out your first Pokémon!" The ref calls as Ritchie speaks.
"Here I come Ash Go! Gobi!" Ritchie says he throws the ball forward as his Flygon appears. The goggled dragon lets out a mighty roar creating a shockwave then stares forward waiting for its opponent as Ash speaks.
"So, Gobi's up first then I'll go with you" Ash says to himself he pulls out his Pokeball and speaks.
"Noivern, I choose you!" Ash says he throws the ball forward as the Wyvern appears. Noivern lets out a mighty roar creating a shockwave too. After it's done roaring it then stares at Gobi with Gobi staring at it. Back In the stands Joe speaks.
"Looks like the first battle is going to be between two dragon types" Joe says with the group nodding back on the battlefield Ritchie speaks.
"I didn't know that you had a Noivern Ash it looks cool" Ritchie says as Ash speaks.
"Thanks, and not only is it cool but it's also strong" Ash responds with Noivern roaring in agreement while Ritchie smiles. Next, we go to Pallet Town in Oak's ranch where we see Daisy, Mr. Mime and all of Ash's Pokémon looking at the TV. Next, we head to the Hoenn region where we see Prof. Birch along with Ritchie's Pokémon, they're watching the TV as well and in the Johto region Tyson's also watching the battle on TV in a Pokémon Center. We come back to the battlefield where we see both trainers and Pokémon are staring at each other as the ref speaks.
"Now that both trainers have sent out their first Pokémon you may now begin!" The ref calls as Ash and Ritchie call for their first moves.
"Use Dragon Pulse!" Both trainers call Noivern and Gobi roar as they both fire the beam of dragon energy. The two moves connect creating an explosion as the chapter comes to an end.
