Chapter 60 Kanto League Top 16 Ash vs Ritchie

Hello everyone, this chapter will mainly focus on Ash and Ritchie's battle and It's a long chapter. Also, in a couple days it'll be a full year since I started my story and I just wanted to say thank you all for reading my what if during the past year. Now with that out of the let's begin the chapter and I hope you all enjoy it.

We begin the chapter where the last one left off with Noivern and Gobi's Dragon Pulse's colliding creating an explosion. We see the smoke clear with both mons looking at each other while Ash and Ritchie both have smiles on their faces. Ash and Ritchie then get serious as Ash speaks.

"Noivern use Boomburst!" Ash calls Noivern flies in the air and fires the waves of sound at Gobi as Ritchie speaks.

"Gobi dodge with Quick Attack then use Dragon Claw!" Ritchie calls Gobi easily dodges the Boomburst with Quick Attack then covers its claws in green dragon energy and heads for Noivern as Ash speaks.

"Noivern counter with your Dragon Claw!" Ash calls Noivern covers its claws in green dragon energy and collides with Gobi. The two dragons begin pushing each other back seeing who's stronger until they break away from each other as Ritchie speaks.

"Gobi Stone Edge!" Ritchie calls Gobi roars and fires multiple sharp stones at Noivern as Ash speaks.

"Noivern dodge then use Acrobatics!" Ash calls Noivern flies around the battlefield easily dodging the sharp stones. Noivern then covers its body in blue energy and flies at Gobi as Ritchie speaks.

"Gobi Dragon Rush!" Ritchie calls Gobi roars it covers its body in dragon energy and heads for Noivern. The two mons collide again creating an explosion, they then back away from each other as both of their trainers have smiles on their faces. In the stands Jackie speaks.

"It looks like they're evenly matched so far" Jackie says with the group nodding they continue to watch the battle as Ritchie speaks.

"Your Noivern's impressive so far Ash but my Gobi is even more impressive. Gobi use Rockslide!" Ritchie calls Gobi roars it summons a portal above Noivern making large boulders fall towards it as Ash speaks.

"Noivern dodge!" Ash calls Noivern flies forward easily maneuvering through the large boulders. When Noivern makes it pass all of them Gobi appears in front of the dragon as Ritchie speaks.

"Now use Dragon Pulse!" "Noivern use Protect!" Both trainers call Noivern summons a protective barrier while Gobi fires the dragon beam. The Dragon Pulse pushes Noivern back on the battlefield, the Wyvern shakes its head it then looks up and sees Gobi flying towards it as Ritchie speaks.

"Use Stone Edge!" "Dodge Noivern!" Both trainers call Gobi fires multiple sharp stones at Noivern, Noivern quickly flies away dodging the move when it does Gobi goes after it as Ritchie speaks.

"Use Quick Attack then Dragon Claw!" Ritchie calls before Ash can call for a command Gobi shoots forward at blinding speed hitting Noivern's back causing some damage to it. Gobi then covers its left claw in green dragon energy and hits Noivern's back making it crash back down on the battlefield creating a dust cloud as Ash speaks.

"Noivern!" Ash calls out in worry when the dust clears everyone can see Noivern it's laying on its stomach groaning in pain but stands back up ready to continue as it looks at Gobi Ritchie speaks.

"Not bad" Ritchie says while smiling as Ash begins to think.

"Gobi's as fast as ever how can I get Noivern to land a hit?" Ash thinks to himself he keeps thinking until he gets an idea and speaks.

"Noivern I just thought of something hang in there!" Ash says with Noivern nodding as Ritchie speaks.

"I'm not sure what you've planned Ash, but I won't give you the chance to use it. Gobi use Dragon Dance then Quick Attack!" Ritchie calls Gobi roars increasing its attack/speed then shoots downward heading for Noivern as Ash speaks.

"Noivern use Acrobatics to dodge!" Ash calls Noivern quickly flies in the air using Acrobatics dodging Gobi's attack making the goggled dragon crash on the battlefield. Gobi then flies after Noivern as Ritchie speaks.

"Now Gobi use Quick Attack and Dragon Rush!" Ritchie calls Gobi roars it covers its body in dragon energy and speeds up getting closer to Noivern. As Gobi is just inches away from hitting Noivern the Wyvern looks back as Ash speaks.

"Noivern use Screech!" Ash calls Noivern quickly turns around and lets out a loud ear-piercing Screech stopping Gobi in its tracks as it begins to cover its ears. Gobi feels its defense decrease as Ash calls for his next commands.

"Now use Hurricane then Dragon Pulse!" Ash calls Noivern continues to roar as it starts flapping its wings fast creating a large Hurricane sucking Gobi inside. The goggled dragon cries out in pain while being spun around, Noivern then opens its mouth and fires a big Dragon Pulse. The dragon beam hits the Hurricane then mixes with it turning the Hurricane purple surprising everyone Ash then smiles and speaks.

"Yes, it worked!" Ash says happily as Ritchie speaks.

"What is this?" Ritchie asks as Ash speaks.

"While thinking of a way to stop Gobi's speed I thought about trapping him in a Hurricane then to add more damage I had Noivern use Dragon Pulse so it could mix together. I call this move Dragon Hurricane" Ash responds with Ritchie nodding meanwhile inside the purple hurricane Gobi begins to cry out in pain as Brock speaks.

"I see first Ash had Noivern stop Gobi with Screech, then use Hurricane to trap Gobi inside and after that decided to have Noivern's Dragon Pulse mix together with the Hurricane so it can do more damage to Gobi" Brock says as Misty speaks.

"I guess after seeing Flamethrower/Fire Blast mix together with Hurricane before Ash decided to try it with Dragon Pulse" Misty says with the others nodding. Leaf, Giselle, Joe, AJ and Jackie cheer Ash on as Harrison speaks.

"Impressive" Harrison says while having a smile on his face. Back on the battlefield the Dragon Hurricane explodes Gobi appears and falls on the ground laying on its stomach as Ritchie speaks.

"Gobi are you okay?!" Ritchie asks as Gobi stands up it looks at Ritchie and nods but does groan in pain it then looks at Noivern with Noivern looking at it as Ash speaks.

"So, Ritchie what did you think of my strategy?" Ash asks as Ritchie speaks.

"Well, I must say Ash I certainly wasn't expecting that and now's it's time for our counterattack!" Ritchie responds with Gobi roaring in agreement as Ash speaks.

"Okay then bring it on Noivern use Boomburst!" Ash calls Noivern roars and fires the waves of sound at Gobi as Ritchie speaks.

"Gobi counter with Stone Edge!" Ritchie calls Gobi roars it creates a large sharp stone and fires it. The Stone Edge and Boomburst collide creating an explosion covering the entire battlefield in smoke as Ritchie speaks.

"Gobi Noivern can appear from anywhere be careful!" Ritchie says with Gobi nodding it ready's itself waiting for Noivern to attack. Suddenly Noivern appears in front of it having its mouth wide open as Ash speaks.

"Noivern Dragon Pulse!" "Gobi quick counter with your Dragon Pulse!" Both trainers call the two dragons roar as they both fire the dragon beam at each other at point blank range. The two beams collide creating an explosion, from the explosion Gobi and Noivern appear flying in the air as Ritchie speaks.

"Noivern must've been able to find Gobi thanks to its echolocation I'll need to be careful of that" Ritchie says to himself as Ash speaks.

"Noivern Acrobatics!" Ash calls Noivern roars it glows blue then flies forward heading for Gobi as Ritchie speaks.

"Gobi use Dragon Tail!" Ritchie calls Gobi covers its tail in green dragon energy and collides with Noivern. Noivern tries its best to push Gobi back, but the goggled dragon manages to easily knock Noivern away making it spin out of control as Ash speaks.

"Noivern use Air Slash!" Ash calls Noivern readjust itself and starts flapping its wings fast firing multiple slashes of wind at Gobi as Ritchie speaks.

"Gobi use Boomburst!" Ritchie calls "What?!" Ash says in surprise Gobi roars as it fires its own Boomburst from its mouth. The waves of sound easily pass through the slashes of wind, it keeps going until it hits Noivern causing damage and creating an explosion. The Wyvern then begins to fall from the sky as Ritchie speaks.

"Now Gobi use Quick Attack and spin around Noivern!" Ritchie calls Gobi nods it shoots forward reaches Noivern in an instant and begins spinning around it making the Wyvern spin as well as Ritchie speaks.

"Okay Gobi now keep spinning and use Sandstorm!" Ritchie calls Gobi nods it continues to spin around Noivern and summons a large tornado of sand trapping Noivern inside. Noivern groans in pain while getting hit by the sand as Ash speaks.

"Wait this is-" Before Ash can finish Ritchie speaks.

"Yep, it's my version of your Dragon Hurricane called Sand Tornado" Ritchie says surprising Ash. Back in the stands Giselle speaks.

"I can't believe he's copying Ashy Kins move" Giselle says as Harrison speaks.

"That's Ritchie for ya he sometimes likes to take his opponents' strategies and makes them his own" Harrison says as Misty speaks.

"Well in that case it's the same for Ash" Misty responds with Brock and Leaf nodding. Back on the battlefield trapped in the Sand Tornado Noivern continues to cry out in pain as Ash speaks.

"Noivern hang in there try to break out with Boomburst!" Ash calls "I don't think so Gobi use Dragon Rush and Quick Attack!" Ritchie calls Gobi nods it stops spinning then flies in the air. Gobi lets out a mighty roar covering its body with dragon energy and flies forward at a blinding speed. Gobi enters the Sand Tornado going to hit the still spinning Noivern as Ash begins to think.

"This is bad if that attack lands Noivern's going to lose what can I do?" Ash says to himself as he begins to think he remembers back when he battled Alexia's Noivern she had it use its wing to knock Grookey away Ash then speaks.

"It's risky but I'll have to try Noivern block using your wings!" Ash calls "What?!" Ritchie says in surprise. Meanwhile in the Sand Tornado as Gobi is just inches away from hitting Noivern, the Wyvern quickly brings up both of its wings blocking Gobi's attack. The two dragons then appear out of Sand Tornado and crash on the battlefield. When the dust clears everyone can see Noivern standing having its wings cover its body while Gobi's trying to break through. Ritchie has a surprised look on his face while Ash smiles in the stands Brock speaks.

"That was smart thinking on Ash's part Noivern's wings are very sturdy not many Pokémon can break through" Brock says with the group nodding. Back on the battlefield Gobi continues to try and break through Noivern's wings but isn't able to Noivern then looks at Gobi as Ash speaks.

"Great job Noivern spread out your wings and use Dragon Pulse!" "Gobi dodge!" Both trainers call before Gobi can back away Noivern spreads out its arms knocking Gobi away making it spin out of control. Noivern then fires a big Dragon Pulse that consumes Gobi sending it soaring high in the air and creating an explosion as Ritchie speaks.

"Gobi!" Ritchie calls in worry out of the explosion Gobi appears it begins falling down as Ash speaks.

"Now Noivern use Acrobatics!" Ash calls Noivern roars it flies in the air glows blue and heads for Gobi as Ritchie speaks.

"Gobi use Dragon Pulse!" "Noivern dodge and get above Gobi!" Both trainers call when Noivern's about to hit Gobi the goggled dragon quickly fires the dragon beam. Noivern moves to the right narrowly dodging the dragon beam, Noivern then gets above Gobi it spreads out its wings staring at Gobi as Ash speaks.

"Noivern use Dragon Rush!" Ash calls Noivern roars it covers its body in dragon energy then flies downward as Ritchie speaks.

"Gobi block with Dragon Claw!" Ritchie calls before Gobi can block Noivern rams its head in Gobi's stomach making the dragon cough in pain. Both mons then come crashing back down on the battlefield creating a dust cloud and a gust of wind. When the wind is gone everyone sees Ash's Noivern appear flying out of the dust cloud and landing on his side of the battlefield. As the dust clears everyone can see Gobi it's laying on its back it tries to stand up but ultimately stays down as the ref speaks.

"Gobi the Flygon is unable to battle Noivern's the winner!" The ref calls Ash gets a smile on his face and cheers.

"Yeah!" "Pika!" "Rio!" "Fro!" Ash, Pikachu, Riolu and Froakie cheer happily while Noivern roars in victory and the crowd cheers for them. Back in Oak's ranch Daisy, Mr. Mime and Ash's other Pokémon are happy that Noivern won with Flygon and Hawlucha being the proudest. Back in the stadium Ash's friends cheer too as Joe speaks.

"I was concerned for a little bit there, but Ash's Noivern was able to pull it off" Joe says with the others nodding. Harrison then looks down at the battlefield, he looks at Ritchie and begins to think.

"So, what will you do now Ritchie?" Harrison questions. Ritchie along with Sparky are sad that Gobi lost but smile. Ritchie then pulls out Gobi's Pokeball and speaks.

"Gobi return" Ritchie says returning the dragon back to its ball. Ritchie looks at the ball saying thank you Ritchie then looks over at Ash who looks at Noivern and speaks.

"Great job Noivern I knew you could do it!" Ash says with Noivern nodding as Ritchie speaks.

"Not bad Ash I wasn't expecting Gobi to go down this early, but this just shows how strong you are" Ritchie says with Ash nodding Ritchie then pulls out his next Pokeball he gets a serious look on his face and speaks.

"But from here on out I'm serious Go! Zippo!" Ritchie says he throws the ball high in the air as Zippo appears. The fire lizard lands on the battlefield shaking it then lets out a mighty roar creating a big shockwave that starts to blow Ash, Pikachu, Riolu and Froakie back. Noivern gets in front of them and blocks the wind with its wings. Zippo then stops roaring; it looks forward and gets in a battle stance while Ash along with his Pokemon look at it. Back in the stands Leaf speaks.

"Ritchie's already sending in Zippo I figured he was going to save him for last" Leaf says as Brock speaks.

"This just showcases how serious Ritchie is he's not going to give Ash an easy victory" Brock says with the others nodding. Back on the battlefield Ash's surprised that Ritchie sent in Zippo already and begins to think.

"I wasn't expecting Zippo to be next, but I guess I shouldn't be too surprised." Ash says to himself he looks forward and speaks.

"You're really taking this battle seriously Ritchie I like that, and we'll fight seriously too let's keep going Noivern!" Ash says with Noivern roaring in agreement it gets in a battle stance and glares at Zippo with Zippo glaring at it. In the stands Jackie speaks.

"Ash is keeping Noivern in? I don't think that's a good idea" Jackie says as AJ speaks.

"True Noivern suffered damaged from its previous battle with Gobi I'm guessing he's hoping to use Noivern's speed as an advantage and land hits on Zippo" AJ says with the group nodding as Giselle speaks.

"Go! Ashy Kins!" Giselle cheers happily along with Misty and Leaf. Back on the battlefield the ref calls for the battle to continue as both trainers speak.

"Let's attack first Noivern use Boomburst!" "Zippo counter with Flamethrower!" Both trainers call Noivern and Zippo fire their moves at each other and collide. The two moves begin pushing each other back fighting for dominance, this keeps going on for a few seconds until Zippo's Flamethrower starts to easily destroy Noivern's attack as Ash speaks.

"Noivern fly in the air!" Ash calls Noivern quickly flies in the air dodging the Flamethrower. When it does Noivern sees Zippo in front of it having its claws ready as Ritchie speaks.

"Zippo use Dragon Claw!" "Noivern back away then use Dragon Rush!" Both trainers call Zippo covers its claws in green dragon energy it goes to hit Noivern, but the Wyvern manages to back away. Noivern then covers its body in dragon energy and flies forward going to hit Zippo as Ritchie speaks.

"Zippo block then knock Noivern away!" Ritchie calls Zippo quickly brings up its arms blocking Noivern's attack. Zippo then swings its arms out knocking Noivern away making it spin out of control. Zippo then flies after Noivern as Ash speaks.

"Noivern use Supersonic!" "Zippo cover your ears!" Both trainers call Noivern quickly readjust itself and fires the waves of sound hoping to confuse Zippo. The fire lizard quickly covers its ears blocking Noivern's attack surprising both Ash and Noivern. Zippo continues to fly forward getting close to Noivern it opens its mouth as Ritchie speaks.

"Now use Dragon Breath!" Ritchie calls before Ash can make a command in time Zippo fires a stream of white dragon energy that consumes Noivern causing super effective damage and making it cry out in pain as Ritchie speaks.

"Now use Dragon Claw!" "Noivern use Protect!" Both trainers call Noivern's unable to summon the protective barrier in time as Zippo quickly covers its left claw in green dragon energy and jabs Noivern's stomach hard. The Wyvern coughs in pain as it's then sent crashing back down on the battlefield creating a dust cloud as Ash speaks.

"Noivern!" Ash calls out to the mon in worry. Zippo then lands back down on the battlefield waiting for the dust to clear. When the dust fully clears everyone can see Noivern laying on its back having no intention to continue as the ref speaks.

"Noivern's unable to battle Zippo the Charizard is the winner!" The ref calls allowing Ritchie, Sparky and Zippo to cheer in victory as Ritchie speaks.

"Great job Zippo!" Ritchie says happily with the fire lizard nodding. Ash is sad that Noivern lost but smiles he pulls out the mons Pokeball and returns it. Ash then looks at the ball and speaks.

"Thank you Noivern you did great take a good rest" Ash says as he puts the ball back on his belt. Ash then looks over at Ritchie and sees him returning Zippo to its Pokeball as Ash speaks.

"So, you're not keeping Zippo out?" Ash asks as Ritchie speaks.

"Nope Zippo did his part and now it's this one's turn Go! Dusty!" Ritchie says he throws the ball forward as a bipedal gray ghost like Pokémon with one eyeball appears. Ash looks at the mon and speaks.

"That's Dusty?" Ash questions he then pulls out his Pokedex.

"Dusclops, the Beckon Pokémon and the evolved form of Duskull. Dusclops is said to be able to suck practically anything into its body, the black hole-like core of which is completely empty." The Pokedex says as Ash speaks.

"So, Dusty evolved" Ash says with Ritchie nodding Ash then smirks and speaks.

"Okay then I'll go with this one next Farfetch'd I choose you!" Ash says he throws the ball forward as the duck appears. Farfetch'd has a serious look on its face ready for battle Ritchie then speaks.

"Your Farfetch'd is next?" Ritchie asks as Ash speaks.

"Yep, and it has a surprise for Dusty" Ash responds having a smile on his face with Ritchie smiling too. In the stands AJ speaks.

"What does Ash mean?" AJ questions as Misty speaks.

"You'll see" Misty responds with AJ nodding. Back on the battlefield the ref calls for the battle to continue as Ritchie makes the first move.

"Here we come Ash Dusty use Psychic!" Ritchie calls Dusty fires the waves of psychic energy it travels down the battlefield going to hit Farfetch'd as Ash speaks.

"Farfetch'd use Brutal Swing!" Ash calls Farfetch'd's leek glows in dark energy and begins to spin easily destroying the Psychic. Farfetch'd then runs forward as Ash speaks.

"Now use Night Slash!" Ash calls Farfetch'd's leek continues to glow in dark energy it heads for Dusty going to hit it as Ritchie speaks.

"Dusty use Shadow Sneak!" Ritchie calls Dusty summons a shadowy figure that appears behind Farfetch'd and slaps it across the face making the duck fall on the ground. As Farfetch'd goes to stand up Dusty's standing over it as Ritchie speaks.

"Now use Will-O-Wisp!" "Farfetch'd use Detect!" Both trainers call Dusty fires the 5 ghostly wisp they go to hit Farfetch'd but the duck's eye glows. Farfetch'd manages to jump in the air avoiding the move, Farfetch'd then tightens its leek as Ash speaks.

"Use Night Slash!" "Dusty use Protect!" Both trainers call Farfetch'd brings down its leek while Dusty summons a protective barrier blocking the duck's attack. Farfetch'd then lands back down on the ground as Ritchie speaks.

"Now use Psychic!" Ritchie calls "Farfetch'd use Brick Break on its legs to trip it!" Ash calls surprising Ritchie. When Dusty's about to fire the waves of psychic energy Farfetch'd's leek glows white and hits Dusty's legs making it trip landing on its back making the Psychic waves go upward instead. The people in the crowd are surprised that Farfetch'd was able to hit Dusty with Brick Break as Ritchie speaks.

"Tell me does your Farfetch'd have the Scrappy ability?" Ritchie asks as Ash speaks.

"Yeah, it does since I knew I'd be able to surprise you with Farfetch'd landing a fighting type move on Dusty" Ash responds with Ritchie nodding as he speaks.

"So, that explains why you sent in Farfetch'd I should've known. Not bad Ash" Ritchie says while smiling with Ash smiling too. Meanwhile in the room where Red is in, he along with Delia have smiles on their faces and in the Kalos Region inside Sycamore's lab Calem and Sycamore smile too. Back at the stadium Ash calls for his next command.

"Now Farfetch'd use Swords Dance then Night Slash!" Ash calls Farfetch'd sharply raises its attack power covers its leek in dark energy and goes to hit Dusty with it as Ritchie speaks.

"Dusty use Disable!" Ritchie calls Dusty's eyes glow blue when Farfetch'd is bringing down its leek the ducks body gains a blue outline on it making it stop in its tracks as its Night Slash disappear making it unable to use it as Ritchie speaks.

"Good Dusty now use Will-O-Whisp and Mean Look!" Ritchie calls Dusty's body glows in a ghostly aura then places that aura on Farfetch'd making it unable to switch out. Dusty then fires multiple ghostly fire balls which hit Farfetch'd and successfully adds the burn status on it making the duck cry out in pain as Ash speaks.

"Farfetch'd use Brutal Swing!" "Dusty use Protect then Return!" Both trainers call Farfetch'd covers its leek in dark energy and swings it going to hit Dusty. But the ghost quickly summons a protective barrier blocking the attack, Dusty then goes safely back in its Pokeball as Ritchie sends in another Pokémon.

"Go! Pablo!" Ritchie says he throws the ball forward as a bipedal penguin Pokemon with what looks like a crown on its face appears Ash takes out his Pokedex to scan it.

"Empoleon, the Emperor Pokémon. A Water/Steel type and the evolved form of Prinplup. Empoleon can swim as fast as a jet boat. The edges of its wings are sharp and can slice through an iceberg with ease." The Pokedex says as Ash speaks.

"So, Pablo's evolved too" Ash says to himself as Farfetch'd glares at Pablo with Pablo looking at it. In the stands Misty finds Pablo's evolved form cool as Brock speaks.

"Even though Ash's Farfetch'd has the type advantage Pablo can use moves like Drill Peck that can cause super effective damage to Farfetch'd" Brock says as Harrison speaks.

"Not only that but Farfetch'd is also burned meaning that it'll receive damage over time and Ash also can't switch out Farfetch'd because of mean look" Harrison says with the others nodding they continue to look at the battlefield the ref calls for the battle to continue as Ritchie speaks.

"Pablo use Hydro Pump!" Ritchie calls the penguin, takes a deep breath and fires a large stream of water at Farfetch'd as Ash speaks.

"Farfetch'd destroy it with Brick Break!" Ash calls Farfetch'd's leek glows white and collides with the Hydro Pump. The stream of water pushes Farfetch'd back a little bit, but the duck stands its ground and destroys the move. When that happens, Pablo appears in front of Farfetch'd as Ritchie speaks.

"Now use Drill Peck!" "Farfetch'd dodge with Detect!" Both trainers call Pablo becomes a drill and heads for Farfetch'd. Farfetch'd tries to use Detect but it suffers from burn damage, Pablo then successfully hits Farfetch'd knocking it high into the air. Pablo continues to spin going after Farfetch'd as Ritchie speaks.

"Now use Steel Wing!" Ritchie calls before Ash can make a command Pablo reaches Farfetch'd covers its wings in steel energy and knocks the duck back down on the battlefield as Ash speaks.

"Farfetch'd!" Ash calls in worry when the dust clears Farfetch'd is still standing but groaning in pain. Farfetch'd also takes some burn damage and sees Pablo falling towards it as Ritchie speaks.

"Now Drill Peck!" "Farfetch'd use Detect to dodge then use Swords Dance and Brick Break!" Both trainers call Pablo spins becoming a drill as it's just inches away from hitting Farfetch'd the duck's eye glows and safely backs away from Pablo making the Penguin hit the ground instead. Farfetch'd lands a few feet away it sharply increases its attack power then covers its leek in white energy and jumps at Pablo going to hit it as Ritchie speaks.

"Pablo block with Steel Wing!" Ritchie calls Pablo quickly covers its wings in steel energy and blocks Farfetch'd's attack with its left wing. Pablo then goes to hit Farfetch'd with its right wing, but Farfetch'd manages to block with its leek. The two mons then begin to parry each other's attacks until they collide one more time as Ritchie speaks.

"Pablo knock Farfetch'd away!" Ritchie calls Pablo manages to push Farfetch'd away with its right wing, the duck lands a few feet away. Farfetch'd then sees Pablo raising its wings up above its head as Ritchie speaks.

"Now Whirlpool!" Ritchie calls Pablo throws a big Whirlpool at Farfetch'd as Ash speaks.

"Farfetch'd jump to the left to dodge!" Ash calls Farfetch'd successfully jumps left dodging Pablo's attack. Ritchie then smiles and speaks.

"Now Drill Peck!" "Farfetch'd Detect!" Both trainers call Pablo shoots forward going to hit Farfetch'd. As Farfetch'd is about to use Detect it's then consumed by flames which allows Pablo to hit the duck's stomach. Farfetch'd coughs in pain it's then sent crashing into a nearby boulder as Ash speaks.

"Farfetch'd!" Ash calls in concern when the dust clears everyone can see Farfetch'd inside the boulder then fall on the ground laying on its stomach groaning in pain. Farfetch'd then manages to stand back up but is panting heavily, in the stands Brock speaks.

"This is bad if Farfetch'd takes one more hit it's going to faint" Brock says with Harrison nodding everyone else continue to cheer Farfetch'd on as Ritchie speaks.

"Well Ash I must say your Farfetch'd is tough but it's time we end this Pablo use Drill Peck!" Ritchie calls Pablo roars it becomes a drill and shoots forward going to hit Farfetch'd as Ash begins to think.

"If Farfetch'd gets hit by that Drill Peck it'll faint but if I have Farfetch'd dodge with Detect the burn will stop it, what can I do?" Ash says to himself as he's trying to think of something Farfetch'd speaks.

"Far!" Farfetch'd yells, catching Ash's attention as he looks at the duck. Ash looks into the duck's eyes they tell Ash to call for Detect, Ash nods as he speaks.

"Okay Farfetch'd I'll trust you use Detect!" Ash calls Farfetch'd nods it looks forward at the incoming Pablo. As Pablo's getting closer Farfetch'd goes to use Detect but it's then consumed in flames again, Farfetch'd groans in pain but stands its ground as it's eye glows and dodges Pablo by moving to the side. Ritchie along with Pablo are surprised that Farfetch'd was able to use Detect, Farfetch'd then grips its leek tightly as Ash speaks.

"Now Brick Break!" Ash calls Farfetch'd yells as its leek glows white and swings it successfully hitting Pablo's stomach launching the penguin a few feet away making it land on its back as Ritchie speaks.

"Pablo!" Ritchie calls in concern Pablo then stands back up it then sees Farfetch'd jumping towards it as Ash speaks.

"Use Brick Break again!" Ash calls "Pablo Hydro Pump!" "Farfetch'd use Detect!" Both trainers call when Farfetch'd goes to hit Pablo the penguin quickly fires the big stream of water. As it's about to hit Farfetch'd the duck's eye glows it manages to dodge the move and lands below Pablo. Farfetch'd then jumps forward getting its leek ready as Ash speaks.

"Now Close Combat!" Ash calls before Ritchie can call for a command Farfetch'd begins to hit Pablo with its leek repeatedly with each hit doing more than the last and causing super effective damage. Farfetch'd then hits Pablo one more time making it slide back a few feet away as Ritchie speaks.

"Pablo Hydro Pump!" Ritchie calls Pablo roars and fires the big stream of water. As it's about to hit Farfetch'd Ash speaks.

"Farfetch'd use Detect to dodge then get in front of Pablo!" Ash calls Farfetch'd's eye glows as it moves to the right easily avoiding the move. Farfetch'd then runs forward as it makes it in front of Pablo it holds its leek tightly as Ash speaks.

"Now use Superpower!" "Pablo use Waterfall!" Both trainers call Pablo covers its body in water and shoots forward while Farfetch'd bulks up its body its leek glows a bright crimson as it shoots forward colliding with Pablo. The two mons begin to push each other back seeing who's stronger, as they keep doing that Farfetch'd is then consumed in flames making it loosen its grip as Ritchie speaks.

"Now Pablo break through!" "EMPOL!" Ritchie commands as Pablo roars its Waterfall starts getting bigger pushing Farfetch'd back as Ash speaks.

"Come on Farfetch'd I know you can do it!" "Pika!" "Rio!" "Fro!" Ash, Pikachu, Riolu and Froakie cheer. Farfetch'd hears their cheers and lets out a mighty "FAR!" ignoring the burn damage and continues to push forward until it breaks through Pablo's Waterfall surprising the penguin and Ritchie as Ash speaks.

"Now Farfetch'd!" "FAR!" Ash and Farfetch'd yell as the duck slams its leek hard into Pablo's stomach making it cough in pain. Pablo is then sent flying going pass Ritchie and Sparky until it crashes into the wall behind them. Ritchie and Sparky look back as Ritchie speaks.

"Pablo!" Ritchie calls but gets no response as Pablo falls on the ground knocked out the ref then speaks.

"Pablo the Emploeon is unable to battle Farfetch'd is the winner!" The ref calls as Ash speaks.

"Alright!" "Pika!" "Rio!" "Fro!" Far!" Ash, Pikachu, Riolu, Froakie and Farfetch'd cheer in victory allowing the crowd to cheer for them. In the stands Misty, Leaf, Jackie and Giselle cheer for them too as Joe speaks.

"I don't get it how was Farfetch'd able to push pass the burn damage?" Joe questions as Brock speaks.

"The answer is obvious even though the burn damage did hurt Farfetch'd didn't want to go down it pushed passed its limits to the point where the burn damage doesn't hurt it and put everything it had into defeating Pablo." Brock says with Joe nodding as AJ speaks.

"Now that's a real warrior" AJ says as the group nod. Back in Oaks ranch Ash's Pokemon are happy that Farfetch'd won especially his fighting types. Back in the stadium Ritchie and Sparky are sad that Pablo lost Ritchie then returns Pablo to its Pokeball and speaks.

"Thank you Pablo you did great" Ritchie says he puts Pablo's Pokeball back on his belt he grabs his next Pokeball and speaks.

"Come back out Dusty!" Ritchie says he throws the ball forward as Dusty comes back on the battlefield Ash then speaks.

"Dusty's back out from the looks of it Farfetch'd will go down soon, and I can't return it yet because the effect of Mean Look is still there. But the disable on Night Slash should be gone now so before Farfetch'd goes down I'll have it damage Dusty as much as it can." Ash says to himself he looks at Farfetch'd and speaks.

"I know you're tired Farfetch'd but let's keep going!" Ash says with Farfetch'd nodding the duck gets into a battle stance with Dusty doing the same. The ref calls for the battle to continue as Ritchie makes the first move.

"Dusty use Shadow Punch!" Ritchie calls when he does both of Dusty's fist glow in ghostly energy and fires two ghostly fist at Farfetch'd as Ash speaks.

"Farfetch'd counter with Brutal Swing then head for Dusty!" Ash calls Farfetch'd suffers from burn damage but stands strong its leek glows in dark energy and spins. Farfetch'd easily knocks the two ghostly fist away then shoots forward reaching Dusty in an instant. Farfetch'd raises its leek above its head as Ash speaks.

"Now Night Slash!" Ash calls Farfetch'd roars its leek glows in dark energy and goes to hit Dusty as Ritchie speaks.

"Use Flash!" Ritchie calls surprising Ash as when Farfetch'd's leek is about to hit Dusty the ghost's eye shines brightly blinding both Farfetch'd and Ash. This allows Dusty to back away as Farfetch'd hits its leek on the ground instead, when the light goes away Farfetch'd begins to rub its eyes as Ritchie speaks.

"Now end it with Hex!" "Farfetch'd use Detect to dodge!" Both trainers call Dusty fires the ghostly whisp at Farfetch'd. Farfetch'd's unable to use Detect because its eyes still sting from the Flash and is panting heavily. The Hex then hits Farfetch'd making it cry out in pain until there's an explosion creating a dust cloud as Ash speaks.

"Farfetch'd!" Ash calls in worry when the dust clears everyone can see Farfetch'd laying on its stomach knocked out the ref then speaks.

"Farfetch'd is unable to battle Dusty the Dusclops is the winner!" The ref calls Ritchie, Sparky and Dusty cheer in victory along with the crowd. Meanwhile in the stands Brock speaks.

"Ritchie knew Farfetch'd using Detect would cause problems so he drew Farfetch'd closer so Dusty can fire a point-blank Flash right in its face making it partially blind. After that it allowed Ritchie to have Dusty use Hex as Farfetch'd wouldn't be able to use Detect" Brock says with the group nodding as AJ speaks.

"Also, since Farfetch'd was burned the Hex did more damage than it normally would've" AJ says with the others nodding they continue to look at the battlefield see Ash pull out Farfetch'd's Pokeball and speak.

"Farfetch'd return" Ash says returning the duck to its Pokeball. Ash looks at the ball telling Farfetch'd thank you and for it to get a good rest, Ash then puts the ball back on his belt as Ritchie speaks.

"I must say Ash I wasn't expecting your Farfetch'd to be so tough" Ritchie says as Ash speaks.

"Thanks, my Farfetch'd has the heart of a warrior, and it didn't want to go down until it defeated Pablo" Ash responds with Ritchie nodding as he speaks.

"Yep, I could see that so who's next?" Ritchie asks as Ash grabs his next Pokeball and speaks.

"This one will be a good match for Dusty Gengar, I choose you!" Ash says he throws the ball forward as his Gengar appears. The ghost has a big smile on its face and is ready to battle as Ritchie speaks.

"So, a Gengar's next well that doesn't scare us let's keep going Dusty!" Ritchie says with the ghost nodding as Ash speaks.

"Gengar let's get revenge for Farfetch'd!" Ash says with Gengar nodding the ref calls for the battle to continue as Ash and Ritchie call for their commands.

"Use Dark Pulse!" Both trainers call Gengar and Dusty fire the dark stream of energy at each other. The two dark beams collide creating an explosion, Gengar appears from the dust it's in front of Dusty as Ash speaks.

"Gengar use Shadow Punch!" "Dusty use Protect!" Both trainers call Gengar covers its right fist in ghostly energy and goes to punch Dusty. Dusty quickly summons a protective barrier blocking Gengar's fist as Ritchie calls for his next command.

"Dusty Shadow Punch!" Ritchie calls Dusty shoots out a ghostly fist hitting Gengar in the stomach sending it towards the sky. Dusty then points its hands forward as Ritchie speaks.

"Use Psychic!" Ritchie calls Dusty fires the psychic waves at Gengar as Ash speaks.

"Gengar quick dodge then dive into the ground!" Ash calls Gengar narrowly avoids the Psychic then quickly flies at the ground and fazes into it. Gengar heads for Dusty as Ash speaks.

"Now Shadow Punch!" "Dusty use Flash!" Both trainers call Gengar appears from the ground it goes to hit Dusty, but Dusty's eye sends out a big flash of light that blinds Gengar making it close its eyes and back away as Ritchie speaks.

"Now Dusty use Dark Pulse!" Ritchie calls Dusty quickly fires the stream of dark energy as it's about to hit Gengar Ash speaks.

"Gengar use Phantom Force!" Ash calls "What?!" Ritchie says in surprise as the Dark Pulse is just inches away from hitting Gengar the ghost quickly summons a portal behind it and goes inside dodging the move. Gengar doesn't stay hidden for long as it appears on Dusty's left side and punches it across the face. Causing super effective damage and making Dusty slide back a few feet as Ritchie speaks.

"Dusty are you okay?!" Ritchie asks with Dusty nodding but that move did hurt. Ritchie then looks back at Ash and Gengar who have smiles on their faces, back in the stands Leaf speaks.

"I didn't know Ash taught his Gengar Phantom Force" Leaf says as Brock speaks.

"Ash felt that Gengar learning Phantom Force would be a good move to have in case Gengar is unable to dodge in time" Brock responds with Leaf nodding. Back on the battlefield Ash speaks.

"Good job Gengar let's keep going!" Ash cheers with Gengar nodding as Ritchie begins to think.

"I wasn't expecting him to call for Phantom Force, he continues to surprise me" Ritchie says while smiling as he speaks.

"We're not losing yet Dusty use Shadow Punch!" Ritchie calls Dusty covers both of its fist with ghostly energy and fires two Shadow punches at Gengar as Ash speaks.

"Gengar use Dark Pulse!" Ash calls Gengar quickly fires the dark stream of energy. The Dark Pulse easily destroys the two Shadow Punches and hits Dusty in the chest making it cough in pain as Ash calls for his next command.

"Now use Shadow Punch!" Ash calls Gengar shoots forward covering its right fist in ghostly energy. As Gengar is about to hit Dusty Ritchie speaks.

"Dusty dodge then use Payback!" Ritchie calls surprising Ash Dusty dodges Gengar's fist then covers its right fist in dark energy and punches Gengar hard in the stomach making Gengar cough in pain from the super effective hit. Ritchie and Dusty have smiles on their faces as Ritchie calls for his next command.

"Now end it with Dark Pulse!" Ritchie calls as Dusty goes to fire the stream of dark energy Ash speaks.

"Gengar use Lick!" Ash calls before Dusty fires the Dark Pulse Gengar quickly licks Dusty's face making it shiver. Dusty then gets paralyzed, surprising Ritchie as Ash smiles and speaks.

"Great Gengar now use Shadow Punch!" Ash calls Gengar covers its right fist in ghostly energy and punches Dusty across the face making it skid back. Dusty groans in pain, it then looks forward and sees Gengar charging up a Shadow Ball as Ash speaks.

"Now Gengar end it with Shadow Ball!" "Dusty use Dark Pulse!" Both trainers call Gengar creates a big Shadow Ball and throws it at Dusty. Dusty's unable to fire the Dark Pulse because of the paralysis, Dusty looks forward as the big ball of ghostly energy consumes it as Ritchie speaks.

"Dusty!" Ritchie calls in concern while inside the Shadow Ball Dusty cries out in pain as there's a big explosion creating a dust cloud. When the dust clears everyone can see Dusty laying on the ground with no intention of standing back up the ref then speaks.

"Dusty the Dusclops is unable to battle Gengar is the winner!" The ref calls allowing for Ash, Pikachu, Riolu, Froakie and Gengar to cheer. The crowd claps for them as Ash speaks.

"Good job Gengar!" Ash says happily with Gengar nodding. Back in the stands Brock speaks.

"Even though it was risky Ash had Gengar get close to Dusty on purpose so he could land the lick attack successfully paralyzing Dusty slowing down its movements then ending the battle with Shadow Ball" Brock says with the group nodding. Back on the battlefield Ritchie returns Dusty and thanks it for a well fought battle. Ritchie then looks over at Ash and speaks.

"Not bad Ash you keep on surprising me, but I'm not done yet" Ritchie says he grabs his next Pokeball and speaks.

"Go! Scales!" Ritchie says he throws the ball forward as a Kommo-o appears. It lets out a loud roar creating a shockwave that blows Gengar back a few feet, but the ghost readjusts itself. Scales then stops roaring, it looks at Gengar and gets in a battle stance with Gengar doing the same as Ash speaks.

"So, a Kommo-o's next it looks tough" Ash says to himself. Back in the stands Leaf speaks.

"That Kommo-o it's even bigger than the one Iris fought back on the SS. Anne" Leaf says as Brock speaks.

"Ash will have to make sure to not let Gengar get hit too many times from it" Brock says with Leaf nodding. Meanwhile Misty, Giselle, Joe, AJ and Jackie continue to cheer on Ash and Gengar. Back on the battlefield the ref calls for the battle to continue as Ash speaks.

"Let's go Gengar use Psychic!" Ash calls Gengar fires the waves of psychic energy they travel down the battlefield going to hit Scales as Ritchie speaks.

"Destroy it with Dragon Claw then use Noble Roar!" Ritchie calls Scales covers its right claw in green dragon energy and slashes the Psychic easily destroying it. Scales then lets out a mighty roar at Gengar that lowers both its attack and Special attack power. Ritchie then calls for his next move.

"Now use Swords Dance then Dragon Claw!" Ritchie calls Scales roars sharply increasing its attack power. Scales then covers its claws in green dragon energy and shoots forward going to hit Gengar as Ash speaks.

"Gengar use Hypnosis!" "Scales dodge then hit Gengar!" Both trainers call Gengar quickly fires the hypnotic waves but Scales dodges to the right avoiding the move and ready's its left claw. Scales then hits Gengar in the face with Dragon Claw knocking it down on the battlefield as Ash speaks.

"Gengar!" Ash calls in worry he looks at Gengar who's groaning in pain. Gengar then looks up it sees Scales standing over it as Ritchie speaks.

"Now end it with Dragon Claw!" Ritchie calls Scales goes to hit Gengar as Ash quickly calls for a command.

"Gengar use Dazzling Gleam!" Ash calls surprising Ritchie as Gengar lets out a shiny light of fairy energy that consumes Scales making it sore in the air causing super effective damage. Scales then falls back on the battlefield landing on its back as Ritchie speaks.

"Scales!" Ritchie calls in concern the scaly dragon stands back up the Dazzling Gleam did some damage to it, but the mon shakes it off and is ready to continue making Ritchie smile he then looks at Ash and speaks.

"I didn't expect your Gengar to use Dazzling Gleam Ash" Ritchie says as Ash speaks.

"After training with my Clefable and Ninetales Gengar learned the move, it hasn't mastered it yet, but I knew it would come in handy. I was also hoping it would've done more damage to Scales" Ash responds with Ritchie nodding as he speaks.

"Yeah, it probably would've done more if not for Noble Roar but that's fine with us Scales it's time for our counterattack!" Ritchie says with Scales roaring in agreement as Ash speaks.

"Here they come Gengar get ready!" Ash says with Gengar nodding as Ritchie speaks.

"Scales use Dragon Pulse!" Ritchie calls Scales roars it fires the large dragon beam at Gengar as Ash speaks.

"Gengar grab it with Psychic and send it back!" Ash calls Gengar quickly uses Psychic and grabs the Dragon Pulse. Gengar then sends the dragon beam back at Scales as Ritchie speaks.

"Scales knock it away!" Ritchie calls Scales swings its left arm easily knocking the Dragon Pulse away when it does Gengar appears having its right fist ready as Ash speaks.

"Now Ice Punch!" "Scales counter with Fire Punch!" Both trainers call Scales quickly covers its right fist in fire while Gengar covers its right fist in ice. The two-mons roar as they collide creating an explosion making both mons back away from each other. Gengar stops itself and starts flying towards Scales as Ash speaks.

"Gengar when you get close use Dazzling Gleam!" Ash calls Gengar continues to fly forward and starts to shine in fairy energy as Ritchie speaks.

"Scales use Iron Tail!" Ritchie calls Scales, covers its tail in steel energy it cuts through the Dazzling Gleam and hits Gengar knocking it away as Ash speaks.

"Gengar Psychic!" Ash calls Gengar quickly fires the waves of psychic energy and grabs Scales holding onto it tightly as Ash speaks.

"Now send Scales flying to the wall!" "Oh no you don't Scales use Clanging Scales!" Both trainers call before Gengar can send Scales away the scaly dragon lets out a loud roar sending out a blue shockwave that hits Gengar making it soar through the air. The Psychic that was holding onto Scales comes undone it feels its defense lower, it then looks at the air born Gengar and opens its mouth as Ritchie speaks.

"Now use Dragon Pulse!" Ritchie calls Scales roars and fires the dragon beam at Gengar as Ash speaks.

"Gengar dodge!" Ash calls Gengar, stops itself and manages to easily dodge the Dragon Pulse. The Dragon Pulse keeps going as Ritchie smiles and speaks.

"Now turn that into a Draco Meteor!" Ritchie calls "Draco Meteor?" Ash questions. Scales continues to roar as when its Dragon Pulse reaches high enough it then explodes turning into multiple big purple meteors of dragon energy surprising Ash, Gengar and the rest of the crowd. As the meteors start to fall towards Gengar Ash speaks.

"Gengar dodge!" Ash calls Gengar starts dodging as many Draco Meteors as it can but there are too many of them. As Gengar continues to dodge it then gets hit by a big one and crashes back down on the battlefield with the other meteors falling down too creating multiple explosions as Ash yells.

"GENGAR!" Ash yells in concern everyone then look at the battlefield and see it covered in smoke. When the smoke clears everyone can see how destroyed the battlefield is and see Ash's Gengar laying on its back. Gengar tries to stand back up but ultimately stays down as the ref speaks.

"Gengar is unable to battle Scales the Kommo-o is the winner!" The ref calls Ritchie and Sparky cheer while Scales roars in victory. The crowd claps for them while Ash is surprised that Gengar went down, back in the stands Misty speaks.

"Aw Gengar lost" Misty says in a sad tone as AJ speaks.

"What was that move that Scales used?" AJ asks before Brock answers Harrison speaks.

"Draco Meteor is a move where the user unleashes an orb from its stomach and fires it in the air creating multiple draconic meteors. It's the strongest Dragon type move and can only be learned when the trainer and Pokemon have a really strong bond" Harrison says with the group nodding as Brock speaks.

"The way he used it as well was interesting I've never seen anyone use Draco Meteor while also using Dragon Pulse" Brock says as Joe speaks.

"But didn't Harrison say that it's usually in the form of a ball?" Joe asks as Jackie speaks.

"It was fast but when Ritchie called for Scales to use Draco Meteor, I saw a small orange orb quickly travel through the dragon pulse until it reached the head and exploded" Jackie says with the group nodding. Back in Pallet town at Oak's ranch Daisy, Mr. Mime and Ash's Pokémon are watching the battle. They're sad that Gengar lost but Ash's Gabite, Tyrunt, Dratini and Flygon are interested in Draco Meteor especially Gabite. We now come back to the stadium inside the building where Red is he along with the other adults are surprised that Scales used Draco Meteor as Blue speaks.

"Being able to teach his Pokémon Draco Meteor and use it in an interesting way was impressive" Blue says as Red speaks.

"I agree I can feel how strong Ritchie's and Scales bond with each other is" Red says with the others nodding. Scott continues to look at Ritchie and has a smile on his face. Back on the battlefield Ash breaks away from his shock he grabs Gengar's Pokeball and speaks.

"Gengar return" Ash says returning the ghost he looks at the ball telling Gengar thank you and for it to get a good rest. Ash then puts the ball back on his belt as Ritchie speaks.

"So, Ash what did you think of Draco Meteor?" Ritchie asks as Ash speaks.

"I'll admit it was really cool you must've trained a lot for Scales to use that move" Ash says as Ritchie speaks.

"Yep, it took Scales 3 weeks to fully learn and master the move but like any powerful move the downside is that it sharply lowers Scales's special attack" Ritchie says with Ash nodding as Ritchie speaks.

"But we're not worried about that we'll keep going and win!" Ritchie states as Scales roars in agreement. Ash looks at them and begins to think.

"I wasn't expecting a move like that, but it looks like they can't use it all of the time and my next Pokemon will be immune to it" Ash says to himself he grabs his next Pokeball and speaks.

"Okay it's your turn Tinkaton I choose you!" Ash says he throws the ball forward as Tinkaton appears the hammer mon lands on the battlefield and gets in a battle stance. Back in the stands Misty speaks.

"Tinkaton's in next it's a good match for Scales" Misty says as Brock speaks.

"Don't forget that Scales is also part fighting type meaning its fighting type moves will still do damage to Tinkaton since it's part steel" Brock says as Leaf speaks.

"This means that they're both super effective against each other" Leaf says with the group nodding. Back on the battlefield Ritchie looks at Scales and begins to think.

"Even though Scales didn't take much damage from Gengar I'll switch for now" Ritchie says to himself he pulls out Scales's Pokeball and speaks.

"Scales return!" Ritchie says with Scales nodding going back in its Pokeball surprising Ash. Ritchie then grabs another Pokeball he looks forward and speaks.

"Go! Ace!" Ritchie says he throws the ball forward as a bipedal rabbit appears it has a smile on its face and is hopping back and forth. Ash looks at the Pokémon and speaks.

"That's Ace?" Ash says to himself and pulls out his Pokedex.

"Cinderace, the Striker Pokémon a Fire Type and the final evolved form of Raboot. Cinderace juggles a pebble with its feet, turning it into a burning soccer ball. Its shots strike opponents hard and leave them scorched." The Pokedex says as Ash speaks.

"So, Ace evolved too" Ash says to himself back in the stands Harrison speaks.

"That was smart of Ritchie switching Scales and bringing in Ace as Ace has more of an advantage against Tinkaton" Harrison says as Brock speaks.

"Also, since Ritchie returned Scales to its Pokeball it'll allow its stats to recover too" Brock says with Harrison nodding. Back on the battlefield the ref calls for the battle to continue as Ash makes the first move.

"Let's go Tinkaton use Stone Edge!" Ash calls Tinkaton slams her hammer hard on the battlefield summoning the large sharp stones they head for Ace as Ritchie speaks.

"Ace dodge then use Pyro Ball!" Ritchie calls Ace easily dodges the sharp stones by moving to the left. Ace then finds a pebble and begins kicking it with its feet creating a fire soccer ball. Ace then kicks the ball at Tinkaton as Ash calls for a command.

"Tinkaton knock it away with your hammer!" Ash calls Tinkaton tightens her grip on her hammer and swings it colliding with the Pyro Ball. The flaming soccer ball pushes Tinkaton back a little bit but the hammer mon roars and successfully knocks the Pyro Ball high in the air. When that happens Ace appears in front of the Pyro Ball, Ace gets her right leg ready as Ritchie speaks.

"Now kick it back down!" Ritchie calls Ace kicks the flaming ball with her right leg and sends it back at Tinkaton. Ash's unable to call for Tinkaton to dodge in time as the Pyro Ball hits Tinkaton creating an explosion as Ash speaks.

"Tinkaton!" Ash calls in worry as flying out of the smoke comes Tinkaton she falls back on the battlefield landing on her back groaning in pain as Ritchie speaks.

"Now High Jump Kick!" Ritchie calls the fiery hair on Ace's forehead becomes orange turning Ace into a fighting type surprising Ash (Ace has the Libero ability). Ace's knee then glows red as it points it forward and dives for Tinkaton as Ash speaks.

"Tinkaton dodge!" Ash calls Tinkaton quickly stands up and backs away avoiding Ace's attack. As Ace's knee is about to hit the battlefield Ritchie speaks.

"Ace use Blaze Kick!" Ritchie calls before Ace's knee hits the battlefield the fire bunny quickly readjust itself and safely lands. Ace then shoots forward the hair on its forehead becomes red again making Ace a fire type, Ace then covers both of its feet in fire it goes to kick Tinkaton as Ash speaks.

"Tinkaton counter with Gigaton Hammer!" Ash calls Tinkaton's hammer glows in steel energy, Tinkaton begins spinning gaining momentum. When Ace is about to kick Tinkaton the hammer mon swings her hammer forward and connects with Ace's Blaze Kick creating a shockwave. Ace tries its best to kick away Tinkaton's hammer but is unable to as Tinkaton roars and successfully knocks Ace away making it crash into a nearby boulder. Ace then appears out from the boulder, it shakes its head, then looks forward having a smile on its face as it begins to hop back and forth ready to continue as Ash begins to think.

"Tinkaton's at a disadvantage because of Ace's speed I'll have to switch" Ash says to himself he pulls out Tinkaton's Pokeball and speaks.

"Tinkaton return!" Ash says with the hammer mon nodding it goes back in its Pokeball. Ash then grabs his next Pokeball and speaks.

"Wartortle, I choose you!" Ash says he throws the ball forward as Wartortle appears having an excited look on its face ready to battle. The ref calls for the battle to continue as Ash makes the first move.

"Wartortle use Hydro Pump!" Ash calls Wartortle fires the big stream of water at Ace as Ritchie speaks.

"Ace dodge then use Electro Ball!" Ritchie calls Ace jumps in the air easily dodging the Hydro Pump. The hair on its forehead becomes yellow turning it into an electric type. Ace then summons an electric ball and kicks it at Wartortle as Ash speaks.

"Wartortle use Gyro Ball then Rapid Spin!" Ash calls Wartortle goes in its shell and covers it in steel energy. Wartortle shoots forward colliding with the Electro Ball and knocks it away. Wartortle continues heading for Ace as Ritchie speaks.

"Ace counter with High Jump Kick!" Ritchie calls Ace becomes a fighting type it falls towards Wartortle pointing its knee forward, the two mons then collide and begin pushing each other back. They keep doing that until they back away from each other landing on the battlefield, when they do Ace begins running forward as Ritchie speaks.

"Ace use Quick Attack!" Ritchie calls as Ace turns into a normal type. Before Ash can make a command Ace speeds up reaching Wartortle in an instant and hits it sending it high in the air. Ace then jumps after Wartortle and reaches it as Ritchie speaks.

"Now Double Kick!" "Wartortle use Aqua Tail!" Both trainers call Ace turns into a fighting type and goes to kick Wartortle with its right leg, but the blue turtle quickly covers its tail in water and blocks the attack. Ace then goes to use its left leg, but Wartortle blocks that as well. The two mons begin parrying each other's attacks in the air as Ritchie speaks.

"Ace use Iron Head!" Ritchie calls Ace becomes a steel type she covers her head in steel energy and headbutts Wartortle on the head making it fall back down on the battlefield groaning in pain as Ritchie calls for his next command.

"Now use Electro Ball!" Ritchie calls Ace turns into an electric type creates a ball of electricity and kicks it at Wartortle as Ash speaks.

"Wartortle use Rapid Spin!" Ash calls Wartortle quickly goes into its shell and spins away as the Electro Ball hits the battlefield instead, Wartortle then heads for Ace as Ritchie speaks.

"Ace use Electro Ball again!" "Wartortle Double Team!" Both trainers call Ace creates four balls of electricity and kicks them at Wartortle. Wartortle continues to spin as it creates multiple clones of itself, the 4 Electro balls hit Wartortle's clones allowing for Wartortle to reach Ace as Ritchie speaks.

"Ace kick it back down with Blaze Kick!" Wartortle Hydro Pump!" Both trainers call Ace becomes a fire type she covers her right leg in fire and goes to kick Wartortle. But Wartortle manages to dodge and starts shooting water out of its shell successfully hitting Ace causing super effective damage. Ace falls back down on the battlefield landing on its back groaning in pain Ace then sees Wartortle falling towards it as Ash speaks.

"Now Skull Bash!" "Ace dodge then use Electro Ball!" Both trainers call when Wartortle is just inches away from hitting Ace the fire bunny quickly jumps backwards dodging the move making Wartortle hit its head on the battlefield instead. Ace turns into an electric type creates a ball of electricity and kicks it forward with its right leg. The electric ball travels down the battlefield fast and hits Wartortle causing super effective damage making Wartortle fly back. Wartortle then opens its mouth as Ash speaks.

"Wartortle use Water Pulse!" Ash calls Wartortle fires a ball of water at Ace and hits it causing it to fly back as well. The two mons then crash into boulders creating a dust cloud. When the dust clears everyone can see Ace and Wartortle appear from the boulders they can still battle but are panting heavily while glaring at each other. Ash and Ritchie pull out their Pokeballs and speak.

"Return!" The two trainers say returning the two mons. They quickly grab their next Pokeball's throw them forward and speak.

"Scales come back out!" "Go!" Tinkaton!" Both trainers say as the two mons appear. Scales lets out a mighty roar and gets in a battle stance. While Tinkaton looks forward and grips her hammer tightly the ref calls for the battle to continue as Ash makes the first move.

"Tinkaton use Ice Hammer!" Ash calls Tinkaton jumps forward and covers her hammer in ice. As she goes to hit Scales Ritchie makes a command.

"Scales block!" Ritchie calls Scales brings up its left arm and blocks Tinkaton's attack with its forearm. Tinkaton begins to push down harder making the ground below Scales's feet crack but the dragon stays standing and clinches its right fist as Ritchie speaks.

"Now use Fire Punch!" Tinkaton dodge then use Play Rough!" Both trainers call Scales heats up its right fist and goes to uppercut Tinkaton. Tinkaton quickly backs away and lands back on the battlefield. Tinkaton covers her hammer in fairy energy and goes to hit Scales as Ritchie speaks.

"Now Noble Roar!" Ritchie calls Scales lets out a loud roar in Tinkaton's face making the hammer mon stop its pursuit. Tinkaton is then sent crashing into one of the boulders and falls on the ground. Tinkaton can feel its attack and special attack power decrease as Ash speaks.

"Tinkaton here it comes!" Ash says Tinkaton looks forward she sees Scales taking a deep breath as Ritchie speaks.

"Now Flamethrower!" Ritchie calls Scales fires a big Flamethrower at Tinkaton as Ash speaks.

"Tinkaton use Brutal Swing to knock it away!" Ash calls Tinkaton covers her hammer in dark energy and begins to spin. When the Flamethrower connects it's then sent high into the air, Tinkaton stops spinning and sees Scales in front of it having its fists ready as Ritchie speaks.

"Now Drain Punch!" "Tinkaton block with your hammer!" Both trainers call Scales fists glow as it goes to punch Tinkaton the hammer mon quickly uses its hammer to block the attack as Ritchie speaks.

"Scales keep punching!" Ritchie calls with Scales nodding it begins to continuously punch Tinkatons hammer with each punch stronger than the last making it harder for Tinkaton to hold on. As Scales keeps punching the hammer everyone starts to notice it starting to crack surprising Ash and Tinkaton while Ritchie smiles and speaks.

"Now use Superpower to break it!" Ritchie calls Scales roars it bulks up its body becoming crimson and goes to punch Tinkaton's hammer with its right fist as Ash speaks.

"Tinkaton use Substitute then use Play Rough!" Ash calls Tinkaton quickly summons a clone that takes her place allowing her to avoid Scales attack and jumps in the air. Scales punches the clone easily destroying it, the scaly dragon looks up and sees Tinkaton falling towards it with her hammer glowing in fairy energy. As Tinkaton is about to hit Scales Ritchie speaks.

"Scales counter with Iron Head!" Ritchie calls Scales covers its head in steel energy and collides with Tinkaton's hammer. The two mons begin trying to push each other back creating a strong wind in the process, as they keep going Scales manages to knock Tinkaton away. Before Tinkaton gets too far Scales quickly grabs Tinkaton's hammer with its left arm stopping Tinkaton as Ritchie speaks.

"Now slam Tinkaton on the ground!" Ritchie calls Ash's unable to make a command in time as Scales slams Tinkaton along with her hammer hard on the battlefield. Tinkaton coughs in pain as it then let's go of its hammer, while Tinkaton's laying on the ground it sees Scales holding its hammer as Ritchie speaks.

"Now toss it away!" Ritchie calls Scales tosses Tinkaton's hammer a few feet behind him surprising Ash and Tinkaton as Ritchie speaks.

"Now that Tinkaton doesn't have its hammer anymore it can't defend Scales attacks. Scales use Flamethrower!" Ritchie calls Scales roars and fires the stream of fire at Tinkaton, Tinkaton looks at the incoming flames as back in the stands AJ speaks.

"This is bad if Ash doesn't do something soon the Flamethrower's going to hit Tinkaton" AJ says as Joe speaks.

"And Tinkaton can't block the Flamethrower either because it doesn't have its hammer it's looking really bad" Joe says having a concerned look on his face while Giselle, Leaf and Jackie cheer Ash on. Brock, Misty and Harrison stay quiet and continue to watch. Back on the battlefield the flames are getting closer to Tinkaton Ash then smirks and speaks.

"Tinkaton it's time we put your training to use, use Play Rough!" Ash calls Tinkaton nods she quickly moves to the left easily dodging the stream of fire. Tinkaton then jumps forward, covers her fist in fairy energy and begins to punch/kick Scales in the face repeatedly which shocks Ritchie along with the crowd. Tinkaton then punches Scales in the face one more time making it skid back groaning in pain as Ash speaks.

"Yeah, great job Tinkaton!" Ash cheers with Tinkaton nodding as Ritchie speaks.

"Wait your Tinkaton can battle without its hammer?" Ritchie asks as Ash speaks.

"Yep, when I had a training battle with Leaf her Mudsdale kicked Tinkaton's hammer away so for a while now I've been thinking of a way for how Tinkaton can fight without her hammer. Before this battle I figured that whenever Tinkaton loses her hammer in battle I can still have her attack with its fist and without the hammer she's able to move a bit faster" Ash says with Tinkaton nodding everyone's surprised by Ash's strategy back in the stands Brock speaks.

"So that's the training he wanted to do with Tinkaton this morning" Brock says as Misty speaks.

"He always comes up with crazy ideas but most of the time it usually works" Misty says with the others nodding Leaf, Giselle, Jackie, Joe and AJ cheer Ash on while Harrison stays quiet and smiles. Somewhere else in the crowd Gary has a smile on his face while in another part Paul still has a stoic expression. And in the building where Red is he along with the other adults are impressed by Ash's strategy. Back on the battlefield Ritchie recomposes himself and speaks.

"I gotta say Ash that's a smart idea you thought of, but we're not done yet Scales use Clangorous Soul!" Ritchie calls Scales lets out a massive roar creating a big shockwave that blows Tinkaton back a few feet. Scales then stops roaring as it feels all of its stats get boosted, back in the stands Brock speaks.

"Clangorous Soul is a move where the user boosts all of its stats, but the downside is that its health decreases" Brock says as Harrison speaks.

"Looks like Ritchie's planning on ending this quickly" Harrison says with Brock nodding while the others continue to cheer Ash on. Back on the battlefield Ash speaks.

"Let's raise our attack power too! Tinkaton use Swords Dance!" Ash calls Tinkaton roars as it sharply increases its attack power. When that happens the two mons look at each other as Ritchie makes the first move.

"Flamethrower!" Ritchie calls Scales fires the stream of fire at Tinkaton as Ash speaks.

"Dodge Tinkaton!" Ash calls Tinkaton quickly moves to the right dodging Scales's attack when it does Scales is in front of it having its right fist ready as Ritchie speaks.

"Now use Drain Punch!" "Dodge Tinkaton then use Play Rough!" Both trainers call Scales goes to punch Tinkaton but the hammer mon jumps in the air dodging the attack. Tinkaton's fists then glow in fairy energy and heads for Scales as Ritchie speaks.

"Scales counter with Close Combat!" Ritchie calls Scales roars as it and Tinkaton collide. The two mons begin to repeatedly punch each other with each punch doing more than the last. They then punch each other one more time as Ritchie speaks.

"Now Iron Tail!" Dodge Tinkaton!" Both trainers call Scales covers its tail in steel energy and goes to hit Tinkaton but the hammer mon bends backwards and narrowly avoids the move. Tinkaton then shoots forward getting behind Scales and successfully grabbing its hammer surprisingly Ritchie and Scales as Ash speaks.

"Now jump in the air!" Ash calls Tinkaton jumps high in the air then starts to fall heading for Scales as Ritchie speaks.

"Scales use Flamethrower!" "Tinkaton swing your hammer to knock the Flamethrower away then use Gigaton Hammer!" both trainers call Scales fires a big Flamethrower as it goes to hit Tinkaton the hammer mon starts swinging her hammer and easily knocks the flames away. Tinkaton's hammer starts to glow in steel energy as she starts to spin fast gaining more momentum until she gets close enough to Scales Ash then speaks.

"NOW TINKATON!" "TINK!" Ash and Tinkaton yell Ritchie's unable to make a command in time as Tinkaton slams her hammer hard on Scales's head cracking a few of the dragons' teeth and making it fall face first on the ground creating a dust cloud. When the dust clears everyone can see Scales laying on its stomach with no intention of standing back up while Tinkaton's standing next to it having a satisfied look on her face and panting as the ref speaks.

"Scales the Kommo-o's unable to battle Tinkaton's the winner!" The ref calls allowing Ash, Pikachu, Riolu, Froakie and Tinkaton to cheer in victory while the crowd claps for them. In the stands Ash's friends clap/cheer for him. Ritchie and Sparky are surprised that Scales was defeated Ritchie then smiles he grabs Scales Pokeball returning the dragon and telling it thank you. Ritchie then grabs his next Pokeball and speaks.

"Go! Ace!" Ritchie says he throws the ball forward as Ace appears it's still groaning from the damage it received from Wartortle but can still continue as Ash begins to think.

"Even though Tinkaton's tired it should be able to at least land one attack on Ace" Ash thinks to himself the ref calls for the battle to continue as Ash speaks.

"Tinkaton use Play Rough!" Ash calls Tinkaton's hammer glows in fairy energy and jumps forward going to hit Ace as Ritchie speaks.

"Ace dodge and use Double Kick!" Ritchie calls Ace quickly backs away as Tinkaton slams her hammer on the battlefield creating a small crater. Ace turns into a fighting type and shoots forward reaching Tinkaton in an instant. Ace then kicks Tinkaton in the face a couple of times and kicks it away making Tinkaton go flying as Ash speaks.

"Use Stone Edge!" Ash calls Tinkaton manages to land on the battlefield she creates a large sharp stone and shoots it at Ace successfully hitting it making the fire rabbit skid back. Ash and Tinkaton cheer while Ritchie speaks.

"Ace use Pyro Ball!" Ritchie calls Ace turns into a fire type quickly creates a flaming ball and kicks it at Tinkaton successfully hitting the mon creating an explosion as Ash speaks.

"Tinkaton!" Ash calls in concern he then sees Tinkaton appear out of the smoke and flies pass him hitting the wall behind him. Tinkaton then falls on the ground knocked out as the ref speaks.

"Tinkaton is unable to battle Ace the Cinderace is the winner!" The ref calls Ritchie, Sparky and Ace cheer in victory. Ash grabs Tinkaton's Pokeball returning the mon, he looks at the ball telling Tinkaton thank you and for it to get a good rest. Ash grabs his next Pokeball and speaks.

"Wartortle I choose you!" Ash says bringing the water turtle back in. Wartortle still feels the damage from its earlier battle with Ace but can keep going, the ref calls for the battle to continue as Ritchie makes the first move.

"Ace use Electro Ball!" Ritchie calls Ace turns into an electric type and kicks a ball of electricity at Wartortle as Ash speaks.

"Wartortle Ice Beam!" Ash calls Wartortle quickly fires the icy beam and collides with the electric ball creating an explosion. From the explosion Ace appears as Ritchie speaks.

"Use High Jump Kick!" Ritchie calls Ace turns into a fighting type before Ash can call for a command Ace kicks Wartortle in the face making it go flying. As Wartortle's about to hit a rock Ash speaks.

"Wartortle bounce off the rock and use Skull Bash!" Ash calls Wartortle quickly readjust itself and safely lands on the rock. Wartortle then jumps off it and rams its head hard into Ace's stomach making it cough in pain as Ash speaks.

"Now use Hydro Pump! "Ace dodge!" Both trainers call before Ace can dodge in time Wartortle fires a point-blank Hydro Pump that consumes Ace. Ace cries out in pain as it's sent flying going pass Ritchie and Sparky until it hits the wall behind them. Ace then falls on the ground knocked out as the ref speaks.

"Ace the Cinderace is unable to battle Wartortle's the winner!" The ref calls allowing for Ash and Wartortle to cheer in victory. Ritchie then returns Ace to its Pokeball, he thanks Ace for a well fought battle then puts the ball back on his belt. Ritchie then looks forward he grabs his last Pokeball and speaks.

"Zippo, I Choose You!" Ritchie says he throws the ball forward as Zippo appears. The fire lizard lets out a mighty roar creating a strong wind that blows Wartortle back a few feet. Ash stands his ground while Pikachu, Riolu and Froakie try to hang on to him. Zippo then stops roaring he looks at Wartortle and gets in a battle stance with Wartortle doing the same as Ash speaks.

"Wartortle let's do this!" Ash says with Wartortle nodding the ref calls for the battle to continue as Ash speaks.

"Use Hydro Pump!" Ash calls Wartortle fires a big stream of water at Zippo as Ritchie speaks.

"Zippo Thunder Punch!" Ritchie calls Zippo covers its left fist with electricity and punches the Hydro Pump easily destroying it. Zippo then sees Wartortle heading for it as Ash speaks.

"Wartortle use Skull Bash!" "Zippo catch Wartortle!" Both trainers call when Wartortle's about to hit Zippo the fire lizard catches Wartortle with its left hand stopping its advances. Zippo then tosses Wartortle in the air and begins to heat up its mouth as Ritchie speaks.

"Now use Flamethrower then Thunder Punch!" Ritchie calls before Ash can make a command in time Zippo fires the stream of fire consuming Wartortle making it cry out in pain. Wartortle then begins to fall, Zippo covers its right fist in electricity and punches Wartortle hard in the stomach making the turtle cough in pain. Wartortle is then sent flying crashing below Ash's feet knocked out as the ref speaks.

"Wartortle's unable to battle Zippo the Charizard is the winner!" The ref calls Ritchie and Sparky smile while Zippo roars in victory. Back in the stands Giselle speaks.

"Aw Wartortle lost" Giselle says as Misty speaks.

"It's now come to this they both have one Pokemon left" Misty says with the group nodding. Back on the battlefield Ash returns Wartortle back to its Pokeball he looks at the ball and speaks.

"Thank you Wartortle take a good rest" Ash says as he puts the ball back on his belt, he grabs his final Pokeball as Ritchie speaks.

"Tell me does that Pokeball contain Charizard?" Ritchie asks as Ash speaks.

"Yeah, it does, Charizard's been looking forward to battling Zippo again and this time he'll win!" Ash states while holding the ball forward as Ritchie smiles. Ash then takes a deep breath he gets a serious look on his face and speaks.

"It's finally your turn Charizard I Choose You!" Ash says he throws the ball high into the air as it opens. Charizard appears from the ball, he lands on the battlefield shaking it and lets out a mighty roar creating a big shockwave showcasing its power. Ritchie and Zippo have smiles on their faces, Charizard then stops roaring as it looks at Zippo and smiles with Zippo doing the same. Back in the room where Red is in, he along with the other adults are looking at the battlefield as Scott speaks.

"So, the final battle is a battle between Charizard's" Scott says with the others nodding Red then feels one of his Pokeball's wriggle as his Charizard appears Red looks at it and speaks.

"You want to watch Charizard?" Red asks with the fire lizard nodding. They all turn back to the battlefield as Ash speaks.

"This is it Charizard let's win!" Ash cheers along with Pikachu, Riolu and Froakie as Charizard roars in agreement Ritchie then speaks.

"Let's do this Zippo!" Ritchie cheers along with Sparky as Zippo roars in agreement the ref then speaks.

"This is the final battle both trainers have one Pokémon left whoever defeats their opponents Pokémon first will be declared the winner and move onto the next round. If both trainers are ready, you may now begin!" The ref says as everyone looks at the battlefield there's silence in the air. The two trainers and Pokémon look at each other having serious looks on their faces waiting to see who'll go first. Suddenly a rock piece falls on the battlefield when that happens Ash and Ritchie call for their first command.

"Use Flamethrower!" Both trainers call Charizard and Zippo heat up their mouths and fire the stream of fire. The two Flamethrowers quickly travel down the battlefield until they meet in the middle causing an explosion. When the explosion clears Charizard and Zippo look at each other and smile, but their smiles don't last for long as Ritchie calls for his next command.

"Zippo use Ancient Power!" Ritchie calls Zippo roars as it summons multiple rocks with purple energy around them and fires them at Charizard as Ash speaks.

"Charizard fly forward and use Metal Claw!" Ash calls Charizard roars it covers its claws in steel energy and flies forward easily destroying the Ancient Power until it's in front of Zippo Ritchie then speaks.

"Zippo use Thunder Punch!" "Charizard dodge then use Dragon Tail!" Both trainers call Zippo covers its right fist in electricity and goes to hit Charizard. But Charizard manages to back away in time, it covers its tail in green dragon energy spins around and slaps Zippo across the face causing some damage to it as Ritchie speaks.

"Zippo grab Charizard's tail and slam it on the ground!" Ritchie calls Zippo quickly grabs Charizard's tail with its left hand then slams it down hard on the ground making Charizard groan in pain. Charizard then looks at Zippo he sees it heating up its mouth as Ritchie speaks.

"Now Flamethrower!" "Charizard use Dig to dodge!" Both trainers call Zippo fires the stream of fire from its mouth, but Charizard manages to safely dig underground dodging the attack as Ritchie speaks.

"Zippo fly in the air!" Ritchie calls Zippo quickly flies high in the air as Ash speaks.

"Now Dragon Pulse!" Ash calls Charizard roars as it fires the dragon beam it appears from underground going to hit Zippo as Ritchie speaks.

"Zippo dodge!" Ritchie calls Zippo quickly flies back a couple of feet dodging the move. When that happens Charizard appears in front of it having its claws ready as Ash speaks.

"Charizard Dragon Claw!" "Zippo counter with your Dragon Claw!" Both trainers call Charizard and Zippo roar as they cover both of their claws in green dragon energy and collide. After colliding the two mons begin trying to push each other back they then start to heat up their mouths as Ash and Ritchie speak.

"Use Flamethrower!" Both trainers call the two fire lizards fire the stream of fire at each other creating an explosion. They then appear out of the explosion backing away from each other, Zippo then begins to quickly fly towards Charizard as Ritchie speaks.

"Now use Air Slash!" Ritchie calls Zippos wings glow white as it fires the slashes of wind at Charizard as Ash speaks.

"Charizard counter with your Air Slash!" Ash calls Charizard's wings glow white and fires its own Air Slash that collide with Zippos. There are multiple explosions throughout the air creating a big smoke cloud. When the explosions stop Zippo appears out of the cloud of smoke it heads for Charizard as Ritchie speaks.

"Now use Thunder Punch!" Ritchie calls before Ash can call for a command Zippo covers its fist in electricity and punches Charizard across the face with both its right and left fist. Charizard is then sent crashing back down on the battlefield laying on its stomach. Charizard then stands back up those two Thunder Punch's did hurt but it shakes its head and is ready to continue as Ash speaks.

"Charizard above you!" Ash calls Charizard, looks in the air and sees Zippo surrounded by multiple Ancient Powers as Ritchie speaks.

"Fire Zippo!" Ritchie calls Zippo roars it fires the rocks at Charizard as Ash speaks.

"Charizard dodge and use Metal Claw/Steel Wing to destroy the Ancient Powers!" Ash calls Charizard roars as it covers its claws/wings in steel energy and flies in the air. While flying Charizard begins to dodge/destroy as many Ancient Powers as it can but there're too many as some hit Charizard in the face causing some damage. This also allows Zippo to get a boost in all of its stats, Zippo then starts to build up fire in its mouth as Ritchie speaks.

"Now Fire Blast!" Ritchie calls Zippo roars as it fires a big Fire Blast down towards Charizard. The big blast of fire easily burns through all of the Ancient Powers as it's about to hit Charizard Ash speaks.

"Charizard try to push it back!" Ash calls Charizard nods it holds out its hands as it connects with the Fire Blast. Charizard tries its best to push the move away but is unable to as the big blast of fire is pushing Charizard down to the battlefield. As Charizard's getting closer to the ground Ash speaks.

"Charizard throw the Fire Blast on the battlefield!" Ash calls Charizard lets out a mighty roar as it successfully throws the big blast of fire on the battlefield creating a big explosion causing the battlefield to shake. When the dust clears everyone can see that the battlefield has a Fire Blast imprint on it, the crowd is amazed by the power of the Fire Blast. Ash then notices Zippo heading for Charizard with its fist covered in electricity as Ash speaks.

"Charizard dodge!" "Zippo Thunder Punch!" Both trainers call Charizard notices Zippo and quickly flies back dodging the move. Charizard then starts to heat up its mouth as Ash speaks.

"Now Flamethrower!" Ash calls Charizard roars as it fires the big stream of fire consuming Zippo doing some damage to it as Ritchie speaks.

"Zippo break out of there and use Air Slash!" Ritchie calls Zippo manages to easily break out of the Flamethrower its wings glow as it fires multiple slashes of wind at Charizard as Ash speaks.

"Charizard use Dragon Dance and knock the Air Slash away!" Ash calls Charizard nods as it begins to spin creating a mini tornado that catches the Air Slash and sends them back at Zippo as Ritchie speaks.

"Zippo use Thunder Punch!" Ritchie calls Zippo covers its fists in electricity and begins to easily destroy its own Air Slash. Meanwhile Charizard stops spinning it feels its attack/speed increase as Ash speaks.

"Now Thunder Punch!" Ash calls Charizard quickly flies forward at a blinding speed covers both of its fist in electricity and punches Zippo hard in the stomach with its right fist. Zippo coughs in pain as it's sent crashing back down on the battlefield landing on its back as Ritchie speaks.

"Zippo!" Ritchie calls in concern. Zippo then stands back up the Thunder Punch did hurt but it lets out a mighty roar showcasing that it can still battle. Zippo then looks at the sky and sees Charizard flying towards it as Ash speaks.

"Now use Mega Punch!" "Zippo block with your wing!" Both trainers call Charizard covers its right fist in yellow orange fire and goes to punch Zippo while Zippo quickly brings up its left wing to block the attack. When Charizard's fist connects with Zippos wing it starts to create a shockwave with Charizard trying to push forward but Zippo isn't letting it. The two mons continue to push each other back and forth until Zippo gets its right fist ready as Ritchie speaks.

"Now Thunder Punch!" "Charizard counter with your Thunder Punch!" Both trainers call Zippo covers its right fist with electricity while Charizard covers its left fist with electricity. The two mons then go to punch each other but their fists connect instead creating an explosion. Charizard and Zippo then skid away from each other they then stop and begin to heat up their mouths as Ash and Ritchie speak.

"Now Flamethrower!" Both trainers call the two fire lizards roar as they both fire a Flamethrower the two streams of fire collide creating a big explosion. When the smoke clears everyone can see Charizard and Zippo looking at each other smiling with Ash and Ritchie smiling as well. Back in the stands Misty speaks.

"Looks like they're both done with the warmup" Misty says with the others nodding. Back on the battlefield Ash speaks.

"Man, Ritchie I've to say Zippo's gotten really strong" Ash says as Ritchie speaks.

"Thanks, and I can say the same thing to your Charizard" Ritchie responds with Ash nodding as he speaks.

"Okay now that the warmups over from here on out we're fighting seriously let's do this Charizard!" Ash says with Charizard roaring as Ritchie speaks.

"We're going to fight seriously as well right Zippo?!" Ritchie says with Zippo roaring in agreement. After that both trainers and Pokémon get serious expressions on their faces as Ritchie speaks.

"Let's go Zippo use Ancient Power!" Ritchie calls Zippo roars as it summons multiple rocks with purple aura around them and shoots them at Charizard as Ash speaks.

"Charizard use Metal Claw!" Ash calls Charizard quickly covers its claws in steel energy and begins to easily destroy the rocks. As Charizard's doing that Zippo's mouth is filled with fire as Ritchie speaks.

"Now Fire Blast!" Ritchie calls Zippo fires a big blast of fire from its mouth. It travels down the battlefield easily destroying the Ancient Power as it's about to hit Charizard Ash speaks.

"Charizard use Fire Punch!" Ash calls Charizard covers its right fist in fire and punches the Fire Blast. The blast of fire tries pushing Charizard back but the fire lizard roars and destroys the move creating an explosion. When the smoke clears Zippo appears having its fists covered in electricity as Ritchie speaks.

"Now Thunder Punch!" "Charizard counter with your Thunder Punch!" Both trainers call Charizard quickly covers his fist in electricity and goes to hit Zippo. The two fire lizards roar as they collide creating an explosion. Out of the explosion come Charizard and Zippo, the two fire lizards fly high in the air as Ash and Ritchie speak.

"Use Dragon Claw!" The two trainers call Charizard and Zippo cover their claws in green dragon energy and collide. They begin pushing each other back and forth seeing who's stronger but they then back away from each other. Charizard and Zippo stare at each other then disappear they continue to fly in the air clashing with each other over and over again creating multiple shock waves in the sky. The two mons collide one more time then back away from each other, when they do their bodies begin to heat up as Ash and Ritchie speak.

"Zippo use Fire Blast!" "Charizard Overheat!" Both trainers call Zippo and Charizard roar as they fire their respective moves. The Fire Blast and Overheat collide they fight to see who's stronger for a little bit then cause a big explosion creating a strong wind that blows Zippo and Charizard back. Charizard manages to stop itself, it flies forward heading for Zippo as Ash speaks.

"Charizard Seismic Toss!" Ash calls Charizard reaches Zippo and grabs its arm. Charizard then takes Zippo high in the air and begins to spin as Ritchie speaks.

"Zippo counter with your Seismic Toss!" Ritchie calls surprising Ash while Charizard is spinning Zippo, Zippo also manages to grab Charizard's arm and begins to spin as well. The two mons then start to descend from the sky continuing to spin until they crash on the battlefield causing it to shake and creating a big dust cloud. Charizard and Zippo then skid back to their respective trainers' sides they're both groaning in pain but can still battle they stare at each other as Ash speaks.

"I wasn't expecting Zippo to use Seismic Toss" Ash says as Ritchie speaks.

"Yeah, we figured it would be a nice surprise for you but that's not the only surprise Zippo has up its sleeve" Ritchie says with Zippo nodding as Ash speaks.

"It doesn't matter what other surprises you've because Charizard and I are going to win!" Ash states with Charizard nodding while Ritchie smiles Ash then calls for his next command.

"Charizard Air Slash!" Ash calls Charizard roars as its wings glow and fires the slashes of wind at Zippo as Ritchie speaks.

"Zippo counter with Ancient Power!" Ritchie calls Zippo roars as it fires multiple rocks that collide with the slashes of wind. Some of the rocks are destroyed but others manage to break through the Air Slash and head for Charizard as Ash speaks.

"Charizard use Metal Claw!" Ash calls Charizard covers its claws in steel energy and begins to destroy the Ancient Power as Ritchie speaks.

"Okay Zippo now's our chance!" Ritchie calls with Zippo roaring it begins to heat up its body making it hotter Ash and everyone else wonders what Ritchie's doing as he calls for his next command.

"Now Blast Burn!" Ritchie calls "WHAT?!" Ash exclaims in shock along with the people in the crowd. Zippo continues to roar as it has orange/red fire around its body the flames then go into Zippos left fist. Zippo punches the ground with its left fist letting the flames go inside, they travel down the battlefield heading for Charizard as Ash speaks.

"Charizard dodge!" Ash calls Charizard destroys one more Ancient Power then begins to quickly fly in the air. When it does the flames then burst from the ground and go after the air born Charizard. Charizard looks back and sees the flames going to hit it as Ash speaks.

"Charizard use Flamethrower!" Ash calls Charizard quickly fires the stream of fire at the flames. The flames of the Blast Burn easily bypass the Flamethrower and reach Charizard creating a big explosion shaking the battlefield as Ash yells.

"CHARIZARD!" Ash yells in worry as out of the smoke comes Charizard in falls back on the battlefield landing on its back. Charizard's groaning in pain but manages to stand back up, Charizard then looks at Zippo who's in the middle of its recharge phase with steam coming out of its body as Ritchie speaks.

"Darn that didn't knock him out" Ritchie says as Ash speaks.

"When did you teach Zippo Blast Burn?" Ash asks as Ritchie speaks.

"Oh, after watching Alain's Charizard use it I've been training Zippo on how to use the move too. But as you can see it's not perfect yet and Zippo's only able to use it 2 times a day" Ritchie responds with Ash nodding. Meanwhile inside the building where Red is he along with the other adults are surprised as Bruno speaks.

"Being able to use a move like Blast Burn already is truly impressive" Bruno says as Red speaks.

"I agree my Charizard didn't even learn Blast Burn until later on in my journey" Red says with the fire lizard nodding. Scott stays silent, he continues to watch the screen and smiles growing more interested in Ritchie. Back on the battlefield Zippo's still in its recharge phase and Charizard's groaning in pain as Ash begins to think.

"It was a good thing I had Charizard use Flamethrower to counter the Blast Burn so it could minimize the damage but that still did a lot to Charizard even though it's a fire type" Ash says to himself he then smiles and speaks.

"I've to say Ritchie you're an amazing trainer and keep surprising me" Ash says as Ritchie smiles and speaks.

"Thanks Ash unfortunately this is the last surprise we've up our sleeves from here on out it's just a full-on battle" Ritchie responds with Ash nodding as he speaks.

"Sounds good to us now Charizard use Swords Dance then Thunder Punch!" Ash calls Charizard roars as it sharply increases its attack power. Charizard covers its right fist in electricity it quickly flies forward and punches Zippo across the face causing super effective damage making Zippo groan in pain. Zippo's recharge period is done he looks at Charizard while clinching his right fist as Ritchie speaks.

"Counter with your Thunder Punch!" "Charizard use Dig to dodge!" Both trainers call when Zippo goes to punch Charizard the fire lizard flips backwards and digs a hole in the ground. Zippo then stands above the hole it takes a deep breath as Ritchie speaks.

"Zippo use Dragon breath!" "Charizard out of the hole!" Both trainers call Zippo fires the white stream of dragon energy into the hole. A few seconds later Charizard appears out of the hole flying in the air with the Dragon breath behind it, Charizard keeps flying higher making it so the move can't reach it as Ritchie speaks.

"Zippo Ancient Power!" Ritchie calls Zippo roars as it summons hundreds of rocks with purple energy from the ground and fires them at Charizard as Ash speaks.

"Charizard fly towards Zippo and use Metal Claw/Steel Wing to destroy the Ancient Power!" Ash calls Charizard roars it covers its claws and wings in steel energy and begins to fly toward Zippo. Charizard's easily destroying multiple rocks when it gets closer to Zippo, Charizard clinches its left fist while Zippo clinches its right fist both trainers then speak.

"Use Fire Punch!" Ash and Ritchie call the two fire lizards roar as they heat up their fists and collide creating an explosion. When the explosion clears everyone looks at the battlefield, they can see Charizard and Zippo standing on the battlefield locked into a grapple. The two fire lizards look at each other trying to showcase that they're the stronger one as Ash speaks.

"Charizard use Dragon Pulse!" "Zippo kick Charizard's leg with Mega Kick then slam it on the ground!" Both trainers call before Charizard can fire the Dragon Pulse Zippo quickly kicks Charizard's leg making the fire lizard stop and loosen its grip. Zippo then grabs Charizard's arm, lifts it up and sumo slams it hard on the battlefield making Charizard land on its back groaning in pain, Zippo's standing over Charizard heating up its mouth as Ritchie speaks.

"Now use Fire Blast!" "Oh no you don't Charizard use Dragon Tail!" Both trainers call when Zippo's about to launch the move, Charizard quickly covers its tail in green dragon energy and spins around hitting Zippo's legs causing it to fall. Before Zippo falls on the ground it sees Charizard stand up building up purple draconic energy in its mouth as Ash speaks.

"Now Dragon Pulse!" Ash calls Charizard roars as it fires a big Dragon Pulse. Ritchie's unable to tell Zippo to dodge in time as the big dragon beam consumes Zippo making it roar in pain. Zippo then crashes into a nearby boulder causing an explosion and a dust cloud as Ash speaks.

"Great job Charizard!" Ash cheers with Charizard nodding as Ritchie speaks.

"Now Fire Blast!" Ritchie calls as out of the dust cloud appears a big blast of fire the hits Charizard causing an explosion. Charizard flies a few feet back then falls on the ground landing on its back. Ash asks Charizard if it's okay with the fire lizard nodding and standing back up. Ash and Charizard look forward they see the dust cloud disappear as Zippo appears. Zippo has scratches all over its body and is panting heavily with Charizard doing the same their bodies start to heat up as Ritchie speaks.

"Will Ash it seems like both our Pokémon will go down soon but it'll be your Charizard that falls down!" Ritchie states with Zippo roaring in agreement as Ash speaks.

"Sorry Ritchie but the one who's going to lose will be Zippo let's go Charizard!" Ash responds with Charizard roaring in agreement. The two fire lizards continue to roar as they both activate their Blaze abilities at the same time, their bodies become a crimson red and the flame on their tails become bigger. Back in the stands Brock speaks.

"This is it the battle's finally reaching its conclusion whoever lands the final attack will be the winner" Brock says with the others nodding everyone continues to look at the battlefield as Ash and Ritchie speak.

"Use Sunny Day!" Both trainers call Charizard and Zippo roar to the sky summoning the harsh sunlight. It shines on the battlefield both Charizard and Zippo can feel their fire power grow more and more. The two fire lizards look at each other with their bodies becoming hotter as Ritchie speaks.

"LET'S GO ZIPPO USE BLAST BURN!" "PIKA!" Ritchie calls with Sparky cheering Zippo lets out a mighty roar it has orange/red fire all around its body. All the fire then goes into Zippo's left fist as he punches the ground making the fire travel underneath the battlefield. The move heads for Charizard as Ash speaks.

"CHARIZARD USE INFERNO!" "PIKA!" "RIO!" "FRO!" Ash calls with Pikachu, Riolu and Froakie cheering. Charizard roars its body heats up more and more until it sends out a large wave of fire. The Inferno and Blast Burn meet in the middle of the battlefield and collide. The two moves start to swirl creating a giant flaming vortex of fire that's covering/burning the battlefield. Even though they aren't close to the battlefield the people in the crowd can feel just how hot it is. In the building where Red and the other adults are they can also feel the heat as well. Back in Oak's ranch Ash's fire types can feel the fire power and cheer loud for Charizard with Daisy, Mr. Mime and Ash's other Pokémon doing the same. Meanwhile back on the battlefield the vortex continues to burn with fire everywhere, Charizard and Zippo shoot forward meeting in the middle of the vortex Charizard raises its right fist while Zippo raises its left. Their fists start burning with fire as Ash and Ritchie speak.

"USE FIRE PUNCH!" The two trainers yell Charizard and Zippo roar as their fists burn hotter and hotter becoming a fiery crimson. The two mons then punch each other hard in the face and begin to push each other back. Zippo starts to win the exchange pushing Charizard back, but Charizard remembers its battle against Zippo before when they were Charmeleon's. Charizard remembers losing back then but this time it's different and it won't lose. Charizard continues to roar its fist is getting even hotter making Zippo groan in pain, but Zippo doesn't want to give up either as it wants to win this for his trainer and its fist starts getting hotter too. Both Charizard and Zippo can hear the cheers from their trainers and teammates. They both let out a loud roar releasing all the fire they have until there's a big explosion that gets rid of the vortex. The explosion shakes the entire stadium and creates a strong wind that almost knocks away Ash, Ritchie and their Pokémon but they stand their ground. The wind also affects the crowd as well but not much, the shaking then stops everyone then looks at the battlefield. As the smoke is clearing everyone can see the battlefield completely destroyed all the rocks have melted and there are small whisp of fire still burning.

The smoke then fully clears as everyone can see Charizard and Zippo. Both fire lizards still have their fist at their opponents' face, a few seconds later their fists drop. The two mons then stumble a little bit but manage to catch themselves as they stare at each other and pant heavily. They continue to stare until Zippo stops panting he looks at Charizard smiles then closes his eyes as he falls forward landing on his stomach knocked out. When that happens, everyone has surprised looks on their faces as the ref speaks.

"Zippo the Charizard is unable to battle Charizard's the winner. Contestant Ritchie has no more Pokemon left meaning that contestant Ash Ketchum of Pallet Town is the winner and will move onto the next round!" The ref says when he does Ash gets a big smile on his face as he yells.

"ALRIGHT!" "PIKA!" "RIO!" "FRO!" Ash along with Pikachu, Riolu and Froakie let out a loud cheer while Charizard roars and fires a big Flamethrower towards the sky in victory. The crowd also cheers loud for Ash, back in Pallet Town Ash's Pokemon along with Daisy and Mr. Mime are happy that Ash won letting out a loud cheer. The fire types along with Dratini fire Flamethrowers in the air while Gyarados fires a Hydro Pump in the air surprising everyone there. Back in the stadium in the stands Ash's friends cheer for him too.

"Yay!" "Great Job Ashy Kins!" Misty, Giselle, Jackie, Leaf, Joe and AJ cheer loudly for Ash as Brock speaks.

"It was a tough battle, but he defeated Ritchie" Brock says as Harrison speaks.

"Yeah, I'm sad that Ritchie lost as I was hoping to battle him later, but I think he's satisfied" Harrison says with Brock nodding. Back on the battlefield Ash, Pikachu, Riolu and Froakie run over to Charizard giving it a hug congratulating it on its win with Charizard returning the hug as Ash speaks.

"Great job Charizard" Ash says happily making the fire lizard smile, Charizard then heats up its mouth Pikachu, Riolu and Froakie quickly get out of the way as Charizard fires a Flamethrower in Ash's face burning him. Ash falls on the ground covered in smoke while his Pokemon chuckle. Ash then feels his other Pokeball's wriggle as Noivern, Farfetch'd, Gengar, Tinkaton and Wartortle appear out of their Pokeball's Ash looks at them and speaks.

"You guys did amazing too thank you" Ash says smiling making the 5 mons smile too. They then begin to congratulate Charizard on its victory with Charizard saying thank you. Meanwhile on the other side of the battlefield Ritchie along with Sparky are surprised that Zippo lost, Sparky looks at Ritchie and speaks.

"Pika" Sparky asks Ritchie if he's okay while having a sad look on his face Ritchie looks at Sparky smiles and speaks.

"I'm fine Sparky come on let's go over to Zippo" Ritchie says with the yellow mouse nodding. Sparky climbs on Ritchie's shoulder as Ritchie walks over to Zippo, when they make it, Zippo looks at Ritchie and Sparky saying sorry it lost as Ritchie speaks.

"It's okay Zippo you and everyone else did their best, this loss just means we still have more room for improvement" "Pika" Ritchie says with Sparky agreeing. After that Gobi, Pablo, Dusty, Scales and Ace come out of their Pokeballs agreeing with their trainer. Zippo looks at all of them, he smiles and nods agreeing with them. Ritchie then helps Zippo stand back up when he does, he along with his Pokémon see Ash and his Pokémon run towards them. When they get close enough Ash looks at Ritchie and speaks.

"That was an amazing battle Ritchie you and your Pokémon have gotten a lot stronger I thought I was going to lose a couple of times" Ash says while smiling with his Pokémon agreeing as Ritchie speaks.

"Thanks Ash we enjoyed the battle too and as always you gave us a great challenge" Ritchie responds with his Pokémon agreeing. After that the two boys grab each other's hands before they shake Ritchie speaks.

"But Ash the next time we battle my Pokémon, and I will be the victors," Ritchie says having a confident look on his face with his Pokémon roaring in agreement as Ash smiles and speaks.

"We'll see about that because the next time we battle my Pokémon, and I will still win" Ash responds also having a confident look on his face as his Pokémon roar in agreement making Ritchie smile. After that the two boys shake hands, Zippo tells Charizard to train hard saying it won't lose the next time they battle with Charizard telling Zippo that it will they then give each other a fist bump. Ash and Ritchie then return their Pokémon other than Sparky, Pikachu, Riolu and Froakie then leave the stadium going in different directions. The crowd starts to leave as well Gary's happy that Ash won then goes to leave while in another part in the stands Paul has a stoic expression on his face and leaves the stadium. Meanwhile in the building where Red is in Rose speaks.

"That was an amazing battle" Rose says with the others agreeing as Blue speaks.

"I'm still surprised that Ritchie was able to teach his Kommo-o and Charizard Draco Meteor and Blast Burn he's going to become a very strong trainer one day" Blue says with the others nodding Red then notices that Scott isn't in the room he's not worried as he has a feeling on where Scott is. We now come back to Ritchie and Sparky they're currently walking down the hallway going to the trainer hall as Ritchie speaks.

"Even though we lost today we'll train more and then defeat Ash" Ritchie says with Sparky agreeing as Ritchie speaks.

"Hmmm but how can I get stronger now?" Ritchie says as he begins to think he along with Sparky hear a voice.

"Hello there" The voice says catching Ritchie's and Sparky's attention they look forward and see Scott as Scott speaks.

"You seem to be wondering about how you can get stronger next aren't you?" Scott asks as Ritchie speaks.

"Yes, I am how'd you know that and who are you?" Ritchie asks as Scott speaks.

"Will you see after watching your battle I got the feeling that you were thinking of a way to get stronger, oh and my name is Scott I'm someone who scouts trainers to challenge the Battle Frontier" Scott responds surprising Ritchie and Sparky as Ritchie speaks.

"The Battle Frontier? I think I remember learning about Red Ketchum challenging it before I've heard that it's a tough challenge not many trainers can beat it and you want me to try?" Ritchie says as Scott speaks.

"Yes, I see a lot of potential in you and believe you can beat the frontier. Of course, I'm not saying that you've to take it on right now as the challenge for the Battle Frontier doesn't start for another 4 months giving you time to train for it. But if you're really interested in becoming stronger then I think the Battle Frontier is the perfect place to polish up your skills, so what do you say?" Scott says looking at Ritchie. The boy thinks about it for a little bit, he smiles and speaks.

"Yes, I'll take on the Battle Frontier" Ritchie responds with Sparky sparking its cheeks in agreement making Scott happy. 30 minutes later the remaining Top 8 trainers are at the main stadium they look at Goodshow as he speaks.

"Amazing battles today as well you all did a splendid job congratulations on making it to the Top 8" Goodshow says with the trainers nodding as Goodshow speaks.

"The league is getting closer to the end the competition's only going to get tougher from here. Now please look at the screen to see who you'll be battling next" Goodshow says as everyone looks at the screen, they see their pictures start to spin they keep spinning until they stop as Goodshow speaks.

"Here are the next matchups for tomorrows battles" Goodshow says the 8 trainers look at the screen Harrison finds his opponent as Leaf and Ash are looking for their images, they find them then get shocked expressions on their faces and see that they'll be battling each other next. The two kids then look at each other, Leaf smiles and speaks.

"Looks like we're going to battle each other next Ash, you better give it everything you got because I'm not losing" Leaf says while having a confident look on her face as Ash speaks.

"Heh, you know I will, and the winner will be me" Ash states having a smile on his face with Pikachu, Riolu and Froakie nodding making Leaf smile. They then look over at Gary as Ash speaks.

"Who's your opponent Gary?" Ash asks as Gary speaks.

"It's Paul" Gary responds surprising Ash and Leaf they look over at Paul and see him walk over to Gary. When Paul's close enough he speaks.

"I hope you give me a good challenge tomorrow since you're the son of the Kanto Champion and Grandson to Prof. Oak" Paul says Gary looks at him smirks and speaks.

"Please I should be the one saying that to you since I'll easily beat you" Gary responds making Paul smirk he gives a "Hmph" then walks away going to his room. When Paul's gone Leaf looks at Gary and speaks.

"Are you confident that you're going to beat Paul Gary?" Leaf asks, having a worried expression on her face Gary looks at her smiles and speaks.

"Of course, I am" Gary responds he then walks away heading for his room. After that everyone else go to their rooms as well to prepare for their battles tomorrow before Ash goes asleep, he begins discussing with Brock and Misty about the Pokémon he'll use against Leaf. Once that's done the 3 of them go asleep.

It's now the next day the battles have begun Harrison's battle was the first battle of the day and defeated his opponent easily. The next battle is between Ash and Leaf the two kids walk on the battlefield making it to their sides. When they do they look at each other having smiles on their faces as the ref speaks.

"This is a 6v6 full battle between Ash Ketchum and Leaf Green both trainers are from Pallet Town and will be allowed to make substitutions. Before the battle begins let's see which battlefield they'll battle on!" The ref says as everyone looks at the screen, they see a light blink on the different battlefields for a few seconds then stops on the grass field as the ref speaks.

"The battle will be on the grass field!" The ref says as everyone sees the plain battlefield turn into a grass field. In the stands Joe speaks.

"I get the feeling that this battle's going to be amazing" Joe says having an excited look on his face with the others nodding as Misty speaks.

"Ash and Leaf have battled a few times and they both have an equal number of wins and loses" Misty says as Giselle speaks.

"Even though Leaf is a friend I'm cheering for Ashy Kins. GO! ASHY KINS!" Giselle cheers loudly for Ash. Meanwhile in the building where Red is Goodshow looks at him and speaks.

"Is Scott not joining us today?" Goodshow asks as Red speaks.

"No, he only wanted to watch Ash and Ritchie's battle after that he left" Red responds with the old man nodding as Rose speaks.

"This is so exciting I know Leaf is going to do amazing" Rose says happily as Delia speaks.

"Yes, but I just know Ash is going to win" Delia says making Rose look at her and speak.

"Um Sorry Delia but you're wrong, the one winning this battle is Leaf" Rose says Delia looks at her and speaks.

"No, it'll be Ash" Delia responds the two women then glare at each other until they turn back to the screen and begin to cheer on their child making the other adults sigh. Back on the battlefield the ref speaks.

"Now that the field has been chosen, please send out your first Pokémon!" The ref says as Leaf speaks.

"Here I come Ash get ready!" Leaf says while holding a Pokeball forward as Ash speaks.

"Bring it!" Ash responds also holding a Pokeball forward. The two kids stare at each other and throw their Pokeballs sending out their first Pokémon as the chapter comes to an end.
