"Ash, are you sure this is a good idea?" Casey asked as the two climbed over some crystals.

"I never said you had to follow me here." Ash reminded.

"Molly is my friend too, and if she's in danger, I want to help her too." Casey said as they approached the outer wall of the crystallized mansion. "Okay, moment of truth, do you think he can break through it?"

"One way to find out. Snorlax I choose you!" Ash called out, sending out his heavyweight Pokemon.

"Lax." Snorlax said lazily.

"Snorlax use Mega Punch!" Ash called out.

Snorlax stood up, striking the crystalline wall with a powerful punch, shattering the crystals.

"That was incredible, let's go!" Casey called out, only for the crystals to regrow over them. "Do you have a plan B?"

"Maybe." Ash said in thought. "Snorlax use Hyper Beam!" Ash exclaimed.

Snorlax fired a massive beam of energy from his mouth, tearing a hole through the crystals into the mansion, the hole only beginning to close once the attack stopped.

"Okay, I have an idea, but you won't like it." Ash said.

"Don't tell me we're diving through a Hyper Beam." Casey said.

"No, but it's not much better." Ash sighed. "Totodile I need your help!"

"Totototototo!" Totodile cheered, coming out of his Pokeball.

"Alright, we need you to work quickly." Ash said. "Once Snorlax's attack stops you'll need to fill the hole again with your Water Gun."

"To." Totodile said with a nod.

"Do you think he has any idea what we need him to do?" Casey questioned.

"One way to find out. Snorlax, one more time use Hyper Beam!" Ash called out.

The massive normal type fired off another Hyper Beam, breaking through the wall of the crystals and into the mansion.

"Now Totodile use Water Gun!" Ash called out.

Totodile fired off a blast of water, keeping the opening there, but only big enough for one trainer at a time.

"You go first." Ash said, returning Snorlax to his Pokeball. "And be careful."

"Right, see you on the other side." Casey said, diving straight into the stream of water. "I'M THROUGH!" Casey's voice shouted from the other side.

"Okay, now all I have to do it, while holding Totodile." Ash said, as Pikachu made his way through too. "Please work." Ash gulped, grabbing Totodile and rushing straight for the hole, making it through just before it closed behind them.

"So where to from here?" Casey asked, looking at the large crystalline foyer.

"Up, Molly went up yesterday, and the only place that Entei could have entered is from the top." Ash said, looking at the stairs. "So that's where we're headed, come on."

"Right behind you." Casey said, following Ash and Pikachu up a spiral staircase.

The two made their way up to the next floor finding themselves in a large open field

"Okay this shouldn't exist." Ash said in surprise, looking at the open field.

"Look over there, more stairs." Casey said, seeing a staircase.

"Let's go, we have to be getting close." Ash said, rushing forward.

"Not so fast you two." A girls voice said as little girl Molly walked up.

"Molly, you have to know this isn't right, we're your friends we're here to help you." Casey pointed out.

"I don't need help, I'm fine here all by myself!" The little girl said. "And I'll make you leave if I have to!" She said, brandishing a strange Pokeball.

"Ash, you need to go, out of the two of us, you stand a better chance against that Entei." Casey said not taking her eyes off of the little Molly.

"But what about you?" Ash questioned.

"Please, even with these strange powers I'm still a better fighter than Molly, plus now she's just a little kid, I'll catch up to you in no time." Casey assured, letting Ash leave. "Now lets dance! Beedrill come on out!"

"Ooh, you think just because I'm a little girl you'll win, well what if I'm not." Little Molly said as she turned into a crystalline form before growing and changing, now looking like a young adult. "Typhlosion let's go!" The older Molly said, sending out a Typhlosion with a strange purple flame.

"No matter, Beedrill use Twin Needle!"

"Typhlosion use Shadow Ball!"

Beedrill swooped out of the way of the shadow ball, striking Typhlosion multiple times.

"Typhlosion use Flamethrower!" Older Molly called out.

Powerful red and purple flames fully engulfed Beedrill in an instant, knocking out the bug type with a single blow.

"Fine, you might have strange looking, suddenly fully evolved Pokemon, but even you can't beat type matchups, come on out Qwilfish!" Casey called out.

"Ooh, fun! My turn!" Older Molly said, returning Typhlosion. "Come on out Ampharos!"

An Ampharos came out of the strange Pokeball's but it had a long and fluffy white mane and a white fluffy tail as well.

"Of course." Casey sighed. "Qwilfish use Poison Sting!"

"Ampharos use Zap Cannon!"

Qwilfish inflated himself, before quickly deflating and launching a flurry of poisonous stingers out at Ampharos, bouncing out of the way of the Zap Cannon as a result.

"Ampharos use Outrage!"

Ampharos rushed forward, slamming their tail into Qwilfish, knocking the water type out quickly before it could recover.

"Just have to give Ash time." Casey said, grabbing another Pokeball. "Come on out Dunsparce!"

"Fun! Fun! Come on out Ursaluna!"

"Seriously, what even is that thing?!" Casey exclaimed, seeing the large bear with a red bald spot and missing eye.

"Ursaluna use Double Edge!"

"Dunsparce dodge it with Dig!"

Dunsparce dove underground, barely dodging the large bear's attack.

"Ursaluna use Crunch!"

Ursaluna bit and gnarled at the hole Dunsparce had disappeared in, trying to get at the normal type.

"Now Dunsparce!" Casey called out.

Dunsparce launched out of the hole, striking Ursaluna in the head.

"Haha!" Casey exclaimed.

"Ursaluna use Earthquake!"

Ursaluna slammed their paws into the ground, sending Dunsparce flying into the air, knocking it out.

"One left." Casey said, recalling Dunsparce. "Good luck Ash."

"Come on are we already done playing, or are you missing your boyfriend?" The older Molly teased.

"He's not my boyfriend!" Casey argued angrily. "Bayleef let's go!"

"Come on out Iron Treads!"

"She doesn't even own any Pokemon like that." Casey sighed. "Bayleef use Razor Leaf!"

"Iron Treads use Defense Curl!"

The large metallic Pokemon rolled up, the leaves tinging off of it's metallic armor.

"Bayleef use Body Slam!"

"Iron Treads use Rollout!"

Bayleef pushed back against the strange futuristic Pokemon trying to hold it off as Casey resigned, watching crystals grown around her legs.

"I'm counting on you Ash, save us." Casey whispered, returning Bayleef as the grass type was knocked out.

Elsewhere up the mansion

"Wh-where am I?" Delia asked.

"Mama, you're awake, did you have a good nap?" Little Molly asked excitedly.

"Huh, yes I did, did you say Mama?" Delia asked.

"Of course, there's you my Mama, me, and Papa." Molly said, looking over at the Entei. "A happy family altogether forever."

"Yes, together." Entei said calmly. "But there are people trying to break us up, I need to go check on it."

"Okay Papa, stay safe." Molly said, as Entei rushed off.

Authors Notes

Molly's Pokemon were Hissuian Typhlosion, Mega Ampharos, Blood Moon Ursaluna, and Iron Treads obviously. I found it funny that the three Pokemon she used in the movie battle against Brock all have new/alternate forms in later generations when fully evolved, and adding Cyndaquil's regional evolution was a fun addition to it. Also all of the moves they used in the fight are generation 1 and 2 moves, none of them are moves from later than when this story is sort of. And don't worry there really won't be much surrounding later gens and Pokemon left in the story. A few references sure, but I will not be throwing every gimmick at the story.
