However, at the head of the table was the somewhat recently crowned monarch, the man who had gotten to know more about Team Rocket than anyone else. This man's name was Ash Ketchum, it looked like he wasn't even paying attention to what was being said, just annoyed that others had stopped listening to him. However, the next part of Giovanni's speech would change everything.

"Now I know that some of you are concerned about the recent reports on some trainers who have gone missing, including a champion." Ash's eyes had widened, a lot of those missing people were his friends, even the one that wasn't was currently the third ranked trainer in the world. The camera zooms out to show the rest of the room. "These ladies were some of the first to acknowledge my power and have sworn their loyalty to Team Rocket. Isn't that right ladies?" All of them simultaneously saluted while speaking in unison "Yes sir! All hail Team Rocket! All hail Giovanni!" The room was left in a shock, they didn't recognize a lot of faces. but the fact that one of the best trainers and the one the richest people in the world had switched sides concerned them. Or, you can resist and face the same consequences as the others, it's your choice to make." The transmission ended, leaving the room in an awkward silence. There wasn't much to say, after five minutes, Leon spoke up "What do we do?" Ash had his hat lowered since the reveal of his friends "Well I think there is only one thing we can do." Everyone turned to look at Ash, wondering what might come out of the optimist man. However, that man was nowhere to be found, he finished his thought "we need to go to war."
