Mystic Falls, Virginia August 20, 2009

Iris rolled over to turn off her alarm clock. She laid in bed for a minute trying to wrap her head around the past few days. Honestly, Iris didn't think that she would have been able to get through them without Caroline. That girl was like superwoman, she was involved in so many different activities and social clubs that Iris didn't know how she managed it. Meeting Caroline on the first day was definitely a good thing. Iris thought that they would become great friends.

Getting out of bed, Iris got ready for school. Just like every morning she ran through her routine. Iris went downstairs to see her uncles and Dobby.

After hugging her three favorite guys and patting her feathery girl on the head, Iris texted Caroline that she was headed to the school.

Pulling into the lot, Iris didn't see Caroline. Iris thought maybe she was running behind. Seeing Bonnie and Elena talking, Iris heads over to them. Elena walks off as Iris walks up.

"Hey Bonnie, have you seen Caroline? I texted her but she didn't respond." Iris asked

Bonnie shook her head and replied, "No, I was about to ask you the same thing"

Iris was getting concerned now. If Bonnie didn't know where she was maybe something happened. Iris sent a text to Remy before heading to class.

Caroline never showed up to school and Iris was really worried. Cheer practice was starting soon and she still hadn't gotten a text or call from Caroline. Iris text Remy again to see if he had heard or seen anything. As soon as the text sent off a black American muscle car comes flying into the parking lot.

Iris recognizes the guy getting out of the car, blue eyes. He walked over to the passenger side and opens the door. Caroline climbs out of the car and leans up to give him a kiss. Iris is really worried now. She should have told Caroline.

Iris hears Bonnie and Elena talking about the guy.

"Oh my god! That must be the mystery guy from the grill" Bonnie tells her.

Elena looks upset, "Thats not a mystery guy, that's Damon Salvatore."

Iris walks towards Caroline, she glares at Stefans brothers back. Damon waves to the group of girls as he gets back into his car and drives off.

Iris looks Caroline over, "You okay?" Caroline nods but doesn't seem to notice Iris glaring at her scarf.

"Sorry I'm late girls" Caroline says cheerfully, looking to Elena she adds, "I hope you don't mind, I got the older brother"

Iris can only think, 'This is definitely not good'

Iris rushes out of the parking lot after practice. All she can think is that she needs to get to Siri and Remy. They have to help her.

"Siri! Remy! Something happened!" Iris yells, running through the shop to find them.

Both men come rushing out of the office, "What's wrong pup?" "Breathe Iris"

"Care was late to practice, she didn't even show up to school. I've been so worried! Guess who ends up bringing her to practice? You'll never guess, blue eyes. Which his name is Damon Salvatore. Care was wearing a scarf, like that's not an obvious red flag. Something is definitely wrong", Iris blurts out in one breath. Needless to say, she wasn't calm.

Sirius grabs her arms and pushes her into a chair. Remus hands her a cup, "Drink" he says.

After chugging the cup, she finally calms down. She must have been showing her crazy if they gave her a calming draught.

"Now, slowly tells us again, what happened" Remus tells her.

Iris does as she is asked, both men look pensive.

"Maybe we should have her stay the night tomorrow. We could check her and then heal her if we need to" Remus tells them.

"Should we say something to her mom" Iris asks.

The men share a look before Sirius replies, "I think we should keep it to ourselves until we can find out what the people around here know"

Iris sighs and looks down, sadly she says, "I wish I could tell Care about me. I feel like a horrible friend and she's been so amazing to me".

Sirius looks to Remus, they have a silent conversation. Looking to Iris, Remus says, "There is a way you can tell her. We would have to write up a contract and she would have to sign it with blood."

Iris looks at them hopeful, "Could I really tell her?" she asks.

"We will write everything up and you can decide when to tell her" Sirius tells her.

Iris jumps up and hugs both of the men, "Thank you so much"

Remus then brings up the issue, "Now we need to make a plan to protect her from Damon"

"Luckily we may have a way to help with that" Sirius adds.

August 21, 2009

Waking up the next day, Iris was excited for the game that night. Hopefully she could put her plan into place after the game. Iris checked her phone and noticed she hadn't gotten any texts, so she went about her daily routine.

Rushing down the stairs she met Siri and Remy at the table for breakfast. Dobby had gone all out this morning. "Dobby made sure you had a big breakfast, you have a really big day and Dobby made sure to make you a good lunch also", the little elf said to Iris.

Iris gave Dobby an extra hug this morning, "Thank you so much good sir!"

Hugging both Remus and Sirius, Iris headed out the door for school.
