"My children were training, learning to master their powers, in spite of Robotnik's efforts to capture them." Aleena said.
"You've lost the hedgehogs! You destroyed my command ship! I'm done with you! Take them to the roboticizer room." Robotnik said and Sleet and Dingo gasped.
"Wait, Your Excellency! I have something you must see! The hedgehogs!" Sleet said.
"Yeah, the hedgehogs! We saw 'em!" Dingo said.
"Wait! This had better be good." Robotnik said.
"I recovered this from the ship! It shows-". Sleet said but was cut off.
"Silence!" Robotnik said, played the disc and watched the hedgehogs training. "They're training! The Oracle is up to this. All right - since I am such a benevolent ruler, I will give you one last chance." he said and Sleet kissed him.
"Thank you, Your Excellency!" Sleet said and kissed again. "Thank you, thank you!" he said and kissed again.
"Eww, stop that! Now, get up and pay attention!"
"Oh, yes, Your Wonderfulness!"
"Search the northern plains. Find the Oracle's cave, then report back to me. Now leave!"
"Yes, sir! We will not fail you, sir!"
"Ready a ship. It's time to hunt down the Resistance." Robotnik said and snickered.
"Aarrgh!" Sonic, Sonia and Manic said.
"I can barely see!" Sonia said.
"Good, then maybe the dragon can't see either." Manic said and Sonic and Sonia gasped. "Huh? Nope, looks like it's not gonna be a problem for him."
"No biggie! I can handle him." Sonic said.
"Sonic Hedgehog, remember: we work together!" Sonia said.
"Hey, sis, no problemo! I learned my lesson." Sonic said and got her guitar out. "Let's see if we can get these puppies to work."
"Remember: they only become weapons if we're in harmony!"
"Yo, I'm feelin' righteously harmonious. How about a little drum roll?" Manic said.
"Oh, man, all this concentrating makes my head hurt!" Sonic said.
"Sonic?" Sonia said.
"Okay, okay. Hit it, sis!"
"Wow..."
"All right! Rock 'n' roll!"
"Crashin'!" Manic said and his drums crack the ground open. "Whoa, gotta love this!"
"Yo, Manic! What's the matter with you? What good's an earthquake when that thing's flying?"
"Well, so much for harmony." Sonia said.
"Oh boy, I blew it! Sorry, Manic."
"It's okay, just get us into the castle really quick!" Manic said.
"Whoa, scratch one escape route! At least we got him back."
"Hmm... he doesn't land. He just hovers! And when Manic shot that shaft of rock up at it, did you see the way it veered away?" Sonia said.
"And that would mean...?" Manic said.
"Duck!" Sonic said.
"I think it's an air elemental." Sonia said.
"Yeah, that'd be my guess(!) What the heck is that?!"
"It's a creature of the air. If it touches the earth, it will be destroyed!"
"Where do you get this stuff?"
"We like to call it "school"!"
"Heh. Oh yeah! That."
"Do you think you can push a plate of earth up to hit the dragon?"
"I can try." Manic said.
"Well here's your chance. Incoming!" Sonic said.
"Wow!"
"That pretty much sums it up."
"What now?"
Sonic and Manic gasped
"Oh no, we gotta get outta here!" Sonic said and warped away. "Oh, no!"
"Aahhh!" Sonia said and warped back to the temple. "Phew!"
Thelonious chuckled.
"Young Manic, you were disappointed because the others had wonderful powers, while yours seemed small." he said.
"Yeah, I guess so." Manic said.
"Yours is the most powerful gift of all! But it must be used carefully."
"Way past cool! Manic the Earthshaker!" Sonic said.
"But remember: control of the earth can set off forces beyond your control. You must be careful." he said and groaned.
"Thelonious, what is it?" Sonia said.
"Many souls in Robotropolis have been lost."
"Yo, Big T, what do you mean?" Sonic asked.
"Look!"
"That's Trevor, a bud of mine in the Resistance! We gotta go back! We gotta!"
"Please reconsider. Your training is incomplete, young friends. You are not ready to leave."
"Sorry, Big T. Gotta do it."
"Sonic, can we talk about this?" Sonia asked.
"Okay, let's talk. Look guys, you can stay, but-"
"Sonic Hedgehog, you may be the most impatient, aggravating, annoying, impulsive...!"
"Gee, I wish I time for this flattery, but-"
"...but I have also learned that you have the biggest heart in the world. If you truly believe this is the right thing to do... I'm with you."
"Yeah, me too man!" Manic said.
"Sonia, sis, bro... you guys are the best! Now let's go kick some Robotnik butt!" Sonic said.
"All right! Yeah!" she and Manic said.
"Yeah! Yeah!" Sonia said.
"It appears that your minds are made up." Thelonious said.
"Hey, this is somethin' we have to do!" Sonic said.
"And so you shall."
"Must be the maid's day off." Sonia said.
"Too bad we didn't set down in Robotnik's headquarters. Now we gotta find a way in!" Sonic said.
"Gotcha covered, man! What you need is the Mouse Patrol." Manic said.
"Huh...?"
"There's a special passageway here. Mouse Patrol is the first job the Thieves' Guild assigns to kids. Stealin' food and stuff from Robotnik."
"I think it's disgusting. Teaching kids to steal!" Sonia said.
"Could we debate this later? Let's not forget about Trevor." Sonic said.
"But how would I know where Sonia is, sir?" Bartleby said.
"Because she's your fiancée!" Robotnik said.
"Sir, you can hardly hold me responsible for her actions! And I think my yearly contributions to your cause prove my loyalty."
"That old Bartleby always walks the fine line." Sonia said.
"What d'ya see in that guy?! Barf!" Sonic said.
"Huh?"
"Why, isn't that...?" Bartleby asked.
"Hm, I see you recognize the latest addition to my staff." Robotnik said
Sonia gasped.
"Lady Windermere!" she said.
"She opposed me. That's in such poor taste." Robotnik said and grabbed a drink. "Ahh!" he said and sipped. "Don't you agree, Bartleby?"
"Uhh... yes sir, I do." Bartleby said.
"Yes... well, you may go now, Bartleby." Robotnik said, sipped and activated a monitor. "Interrogation status?"
"Subject approaching beta open brain status. All information in his mind shall be available in 23.5 minutes." the computer said.
"Excellent! Contact me when he's ready. I'll be in the hangar."
Sonia gasped.
"Where you goin'?" Sonic asked.
"To find Lady Windermere!" Sonia said.
"It's too late, Sonia."
"Once it happens, there's no bringin' 'em back." Manic said.
"Launch surveillance bots! How are we supposed to find anything here? It all looks the same... white!" Sleet said.
"Not on this one!" Dingo said.
"Huh?!"
"Heat source detected. Heat source detected." the computer said.
"Lock co-ordinates. All units in stealth mode!"
"Are we there yet?" Dingo asked.
"In your case... no."
"Come on, come on! I'm waitiiing!" Sonic said.
"Hang on! I'm not used to this system." Sonia said.
"Exactly what are we doing here?"
"This stuff could come in handy!" Manic said.
"What'd I tell you about stealing? And besides, what if you set off the alarm?"
"I got it!" Sonia said.
Sonic and Sonia gasped.
"Trevor's in level 4. Right here!"
"Great! Let's go- huh?" Sonic said.
"Sleet reporting, sir." Sleet said.
"Go ahead." Robotnik said.
"We found the Oracle's cave. Transmitting surveillance video, now!"
"Make sure he doesn't detect you. I'm deploying forces!"
"As you wish, sir."
"Now we've gotta get Trevor, then warn the Oracle." Sonic said.
"Whoa dude, stop! It's SWATbot City out there! I vote we take the Thieves' Highway again." Manic said.
"Excellent, excellent-uh! Soon I'll be rid of the blasted Oracle and those obnoxious hedgehogs!" Robotnik said.
"Intruder alert. Level 4, Section C." the computer said.
"SWATbots converge on the area! Get me those hedgehogs!"
"He's gonna seal every entrance!" Trevor said.
"So why don't we just go out an exit? Uh-huh?" Manic asked.
"Haha, good one!" Sonic said.
"Oh, wonderful(!) We're ten seconds away from being roboticized, and you two are cracking jokes!" Sonia said.
"Yeah, she's right. Besides, we gotta find a way to get to the Oracle, too."
"Hmmm... we could always fly out."
"Oh, now who's trying to be funny?" Manic asked.
Sonia: "I'm not trying to be funny! I'm talking about stealing a ship!"
"Huh? Uh, stealing? Yeah, uh, wouldn't that be wrong?"
"Point made. We'll borrow a ship. Now let's get out of here!"
"I'll steal a small ship and lead them away, while you join the main force." Trevor said.
"Sounds like a plan to me! Be careful, Trevor." Sonic said.
"I don't have a clue!" Sonia said.
"That's Robotnik's security panel. Only way past is with a frequency harmonizer." Manic said and reached into his bag. "Oh, look what I borrowed from Robotnik! A frequency harmonizer! Handy, huh?" he said and laughed.
"All right, all right, just use it!" Sonic said and Manic inserted the device and the ship's hatch opened and he gasped. "What's taking Trevor so long?" she said and a ship flew past. "Finally!" she said and took off. "Outta here!"
"Oh, man! Talk about hidin' in plain sight!"
"Way, WAY past cool!"
"I just hope Trevor is all right." Sonia said.
"Where is it?" Robotnik asked.
"Stolen craft has grounded, sir. Closing in." a Swatbot said.
"Show me!"
"Ship abandoned, sir."
"NOOOO!"
"Good luck, hedgehogs!" Trevor said.
"So how do we find the Oracle's cave?" Manic asked.
"Guess you didn't think about that, did you Mr. Impulsive?" Sonia said.
"Hey, get off my case! It's not like you had some great masterplan." Sonic said.
"Right here, in the palm of my hand, and they got away! How did they do it?!" Robotnik said.
"Unauthorized ship approaching attack squadron." a Swatbot said.
"Ship? Whose ship?"
"It is from our fleet, sir."
"Who's flying it? Activate ship surveillance!" Robotnik said and saw the hedgehogs on a monitor. "Oh, this is too good!"
"Yeah, we've gotta find the Oracle's cave." Sonic said.
"How about we just follow Robotnik's ships?" Manic asked.
"Oh, now there's an idea. And how do you propose that we do that?" Sonia said and Manic pointed to one of Robotnik's ships. "Oh!"
"Hey, this thing's not workin'!" Sonic said.
Robotnik laughed.
"Ah, hedgehogs! I thought you might want to know that your ship's self-destruct mechanism has been activated!" he said.
"That's not a good thing, is it?" Sonia asked.
"And I'm afraid I had to seal the hatches." he said and laughed evilly.
"Yo, he has full control of the ship!" Manic said strained.
"Self-destruct in T minus fifteen... Fourteen... Thirteen..." the computer said and Sonic gasped. "Twelve..."
"Manic, tell me you can get us outta here!" Sonic said.
"Eleven... Ten..."
"Well, I was gonna take the master override key, but..." Manic said.
"Nine..."
"You told me it was no time to be stealin' stuff."
"Are you nuts? Why'd ya listen to me?!" Sonic asked.
Computer: "Eight... Seven... Six..."
"I didn't." Manic said and laughed.
"Five... Four... Three... Two..."
"Jump!"
"One..."
"Nice work, Manic! Now what do we do?" Sonia said.
"Hey, it's just snow! It won't hurt a bit! I hope..." Sonic said.
"Aaahh! Whooaaa!" Sonic, Sonia and Manic said and landed in snow. "Oof!" they said and groaned.
"Well, that was pretty painless! "Ohh..." Sonia said.
"Oh boy, company!" Manic said.
"Outta here!" Sonic said.
"Sonic, slow down! We don't know what's inside the cave." Sonia said.
"Hey, when it comes to speed, you just gotta trust me."
"Whoooaaaa!" Sonic, Sonia and Manic said.
"That was them! The hedgehogs! Mobilize the SWATbots! We've got them trapped!" Sleet said.
"Don't move." Manic said.
"We are so in trouble! Nice break, Sonic!" Sonia said.
"Hey, I got us away from those ships." Sonic said.
"And this is soooo much better!"
"Whooaaa!" they said and hit the cave wall. "Oof!"
"Hey, now we just climb out!" Sonic said.
"Sonic, no! It might-" Sonia said but was cut off.
"Whoooaaaa!" they said.
"Great, now look what you've done!" Sonia said.
"Hey, get off my case!" Sonic said.
"Yo, stop it!" Manic said.
"Well, if you thought before you acted-" Sonia said but was cut off.
"Listen, princess...!" Sonic said.
"Look!" Manic said.
"Huh?" Sonic and Sonia said.
"My children!" Aleena's vision said.
"Mother!" Sonia said.
"I only have a moment, so listen carefully. Remember your training. You must work together. If you commit to each other and our cause, then you will always be able to use your medallions. The Oracle is in grave danger, and without him the Resistance will fall. You must resolve your differences and help him. I know you can do it. I love you!"
"You're okay, sis." Sonic said and Sonia gasped.
"So are you!" Sonia said.
["We're All In This Together"]
Sonic: "Time to fly, guys!" Sonic said.
"Well, well, the hedgehogs! And unarmed! Perhaps you should surrender, don't you think?" Sleet said.
"Think again!"
"Nice shot, Sonia!" Dingo said.
"GET THEM!" Sleet said.
"The ships! We gotta stop them!" Sonic said.
"Stand behind me!" Manic said.
"Careful, Manic! Focus." Sonia said.
"You can do it, bro!" Sonic said.
"Gotta project it outward. Here goes..." Manic said.
"Oh, those cursed hedgehogs!" Sleet said and got in his ship. "That's it! I don't care if Robotnik wants them captured. I am going to bury them! Time for the mega laser!"
"Look!" Sonic said.
"Hang on!" Manic said.
"Uhh!" Sonic and Sonia said.
"I'm impressed!" Sonic said.
"What's that?" Sleet said.
"Aargh!" Sleet and Dingo said.
"All right! Yeah!" Sonic said.
"Yay, all right, we did it!" Sonia said.
"You have bonded as family, young hedgehogs." Oracle said.
"Yeah, and...?" Sonic said and he chuckled.
"And now, you have earned the ability to use your powers whenever you wish."
"That's great, but will we ever defeat Robotnik?" Sonia asked.
"Your spirit and devotion to your cause will determine the outcome."
"Does he ever just walk away?" Manic said.
Sonic, Manic and Sonia laughed.
"Time to blow this icicle stand!" Sonic said
"Robotnik couldn't have destroyed you." Aleena said.
"But your children didn't know that. And through their willingness to help others, they have gained their powers." Oracle said.
"And so it begins."
