"Learning to trust is one of the hardest lessons to learn in life, especially when you are surrounded by evil." Aleena said.
Manic watched as countless swatbots got created.
"Time for this war by factory to go down!" Manic said and slid down the hilly ground. "You wanna deploy now? Or we wait for Sonic?"
"We have to wait for him. He's the main part of the plan! Let's at least test the pot. Okay, lets see... To deploy, activate switch six..." Sonia said.
"Switch six, switch six."
"Wait! Okay... Now!" she said and he pressed switch six, and suddenly, a small robot came flying out from the machine.
"Whoa! It works!" he said then, the mini robot hit him on his head. "Oww... Sort of."
"Sorry. I don't quite have the hang of it yet." she said and it hit his head again.
"Oh! Really?"
Meanwhile Sonic ate her Chili dog, then got up to go for a walk.
"Sonic!" Cyrus said.
"Yo Cyrus, long time man!" Sonic said and they give each other a high-five.
"I heard you took out a processing plant out last week, congrats!"
"What can I say!? I'm good..."
"Sonic, I have a problem... Can I talk to you?"
"Uh... Can you make it quick?"
"You bet! C'mon, I'll buy you a Chili dog!"
"Chili dog?"
Meanwhile.
"Three factories, in four weeks! I want them stopped!" Robotnik said.
"We've located their underground pavilion Sir. Units are moving into place, now all we have to do..." Sleet said and Robotnik pushed him back using his finger.
"Oh, spare me the details! Just make it happen!"Robotnik said and left.
"Just make it happen."
"I.R Beam, interrupt, I.R Beam, interrupt. Sector three, plan four, intruder point eight kilogram." a Swatbot said.
"I don't see anything you stupid robot!" Sleet said and pressed a button beside him. "What is that?"
"There's eyes. They could only belong to... Sonia..." Dingo said and Sleet grabbed him.
"Snap out of it! You sound like a love-struck pup. She's the enemy, you got that?!" Sleet said, slapped him hard on his face and they walked away.
"Oh yeah... She's the enemy..."
Meanwhile the small drone flew high, and shot out a missile destroying a control panel.
"Stage one complete. Control panels destroyed! Where's Sonic?!" Sonia said.
"No biggie! I'll just go ahead, she can catch up!" Manic said.
"No. We've got to stick to the plan. If Sonic doesn't show, we cancel."
"Cancel? Uh, no way! This one bot factory is going down!" he said and ran away from her.
"Manic!" she said and grunted.
Meanwhile Swatbots were patrolling a ruined area.
Inside, the elevator door opened and Sleet and Dingo walked out.
"Ooh! What's that? A little large for a mouse. Perhaps a different rodent. A hedgehog maybe?" Sleet said and the door opened.
Manic walked in, followed by Dingo. Then the door closed behind the latter and the drone fired a laser into the rock.
"Here we are!" Sleet said and flung an arm shaped object.
The drone inside scratched the surface then Sleet shook hands with the object.
"Sometimes you just have to get their attention." he said and chucked the object behind him.
Meanwhile Sonia's screen fuzzed and shut down.
"Sleet! Oh no!" Sonia said, gasped and yelped as she was held by Dingo. "Oh, Nick."
Later Sonia and Manic were sitting on chairs with their bodies tied when Sleet confronted them.
"Now, Sarah." Sleet said.
"It's Sonia, you twit face!" Sonia said.
"Whatever, Sofia. Where is Sonic?"
Suddenly Sonic arrived and confronted the villainous duo.
"Duh! You are so in trouble! What do you do, stop for a Chili dog?" Sonia said angrily.
"No?" Sonic said, burped and swallowed. "No. Excuse me, uh... maybe a house trick, bud?"
"Huh?" Sleet said. "Get him!" he said to the Swatbot as he pointed at Sonic and several swatbots surround Sonic.
"Spin and win time!" she said, turned into a tornado and spun into every swatbot, knocking them over.
Dingo tried to catch him but he missed, and instead was thrown on top of Sleet. The tornado untied Sonia and Manic who jumped off the chair.
"Sonic, this is all your fault. You can't just show up whenever you feel—" Sonia said and a Swatbot laser destroyed the chair while more Swatbots surround them.
"Uh, can we talk about this later?" Manic asked and a Swatbot tried to grab Sonia.
Sonia grabbed hold of the arm and threw the whole bot into another bot. She polished her hands but Sonic grabbed her arm and zoomed away to protect themselves from more Swatbot shots.
"Time for Plan B." Sonic said.
"Sonic, there is no Plan B." Sonia said.
"There is now! Watch this!" Sonic said, zoomed into the factory and bounced off a lava container, which tips over.
Sonic lured and dodged a Swatbot laser attack. Another lava container tips and fell over towards this robot, covering it in a river of lava. The current flew several robots across the factory.
Meanwhile, Sonic landed safely onto a platform and spun into a tornado. She spun a robot part off and up towards the ledge above. The robot part fell into the lava and flowed to where Dingo was watching from above. Several analog meters were raised to maximum, making Sleet mad.
"We've got to get out of here." Sleet said and ran towards the elevator door, with Dingo following on behind.
Just as the door closed, they both were stuck in the doorway and tried to push forward with their strength.
"You moron!" Sleet said and they made it through.
Meanwhile, the pool of lava kept filling the floor inside the building, where two Swatbots were landed on. They shot lasers at Sonic, who was running along a bridge. She grabbed hold of a chain and flew up just before a Swatbot destroyed part of the bridge. She jumped off, landed in another safe area next to another door, opened it and picked up a red bottle-shaped object.
"Party fakes. This should even things up." she said and grabbed several bottles until a laser shot was fired. "Huh?" she said and Swatbots fire lasers at her again.
While running, she dropped bottles into the lava, jumped over the ramp and returned to her siblings.
"Am I good or what?" she asked.
"The factory's still standing." Sonia said.
"It is?" Sonic said, exhaled and the factory exploded with a large bang, delighting Manic and annoying Sonia.
"Way to go, sis!" Manic said and she high five him.
"You're insufferable." Sonia said.
"Thank you." Sonic said humbly.
Later they arrived and Sonic brought a souvenir to the crowd. They clapped, cheered and celebrate as she hung the robot part up on the wall. They gather closer to her and Sonia walked past the raving crowd to the chili dog shop and sat on the chair.
"One tofu dog with the works please." Sonia said Sonic sat on the chair next to her.
"Hey, sis. We did some nice work today." Sonic said.
"No. You did some nice work today, on your own, as usual." Sonia said annoyed.
"Let me guess. You're mad, right?" Sonic said and the Tofu dog was given to Sonia. "But you can't be too mad, because you ordered me a Chili dog."
"Oh please, be my guest." Sonia said, moved to dog to Sonic who ate the tofu dog and put her finger by her mouth.
"Yuck! What is this?!"
"That would be tofu."
"Huh?" Sonic said and spit the tofu dog onto a target with Robotnik's head attached to a wall. "Yuck! Couldn't you just yell at me instead?"
"Okay..." Sonia said and snapped with her head at Sonic's face. "Sonic, we were captured because you were late! Because you didn't follow the plan! They come to you, then started to improvise!" she said and Sonic fell off his chair.
"See? And it was much better." Sonic said and held Sonia as she walked away. "Hey! Wait up!" she said while Sonia walked towards the Whack a Buttnik machine and Sonic caught up to her. "Oh right! I'm sorry I was late but it turned out okay, didn't it?" she said after she realized.
"This time, but it could have been bad, Sonic." Sonia said giving Sonic a toy mallet.
"Yeah, you're right." Sonic said and tossed the mallet.
"They could've thrown us in prison. Have you ever seen prison clothes? They're gray! I look terrible in gray!"
"Won't happen again. Hedgehogs are..."
"Interesting."
"Maybe there is something to this planned stuff. And speaking of planned…" Sonic said and pushed a Robotnik-shaped gopher into the hole.
Suddenly they heard applause as they return to Cyrus and Sonic introduced him to the others.
"This is Cyrus, a pal of mine from the old neighborhood. He needs your help, sis." Sonic said.
"Oh?" Sonia said.
"Robotnik's forcing my father to work on a new portable Roboticizer. I gotta get him out." Cyrus said.
"Where are they keeping him?" Manic asked and Cyrus brought out a cube shaped holo-map.
"This is a Holo-map of the high security area." Cyrus said, turned the holo-map on and a blueprint was shown.
"Amazing? How did you get this?" Sonia asked.
"A friend in the underground." he said and applause sounded. "He's afraid of being named. Is that OK?"
"Uh... I'm not so sure..."
"Hey guys. Are you forgetting about Sanctuary? Oh, sorry." Trevor said.
"What's Sanctuary?" Cyrus asked.
"Uh, sorry dude. Inside stuff."
Meanwhile Robotnik watched the footage of Trevor.
"Sanctuary? Why haven't I heard of this?" Robotnik asked and Dingo shrugged.
"Hmm?" Dingo said.
"Are your units in position?"
"Some, but if we attack now…" Sleet said.
"We need a distraction." Robotic said firmly. "Launch the attack." he said while Sonic played with Cyrus' holo-map.
"Sorry, bud. Catch you later." Sonic said and she, Trevor, Sonia and Manic left.
Soon, rumbling was felt, gasping Sonic, and eventually Sonia and Manic. Screaming was heard in the background as debris fell from the ceiling. A tank broke through the wall and Swatbots appeared through the breakage, with one of them jumping inside the building.
"Huh?" Sonic said and Swatbots fire lasers at the Mobians.
Sonic prepared a Super Sonic Triple Spin and spun through a row of Swatbots, knocking them over. Cyrus looked around the building and Robotnik kept watching the footage.
"Cyrus, get to a clear spot. I need to talk to you." Robotic said and Cyrus ran past more shooting Swatbots.
More of the crowd panic and run away as a tank approaches them. Cyrus hides behind a rock and speaks through his transceiver.]
"What are you doing? This wasn't in the plan!" Cyrus said and a hologram of Robotnik appeared in front of him.
"Plans change. I want to know about Sanctuary. You'll find out for me." Robotnik said.
"Hey! We had a deal!"
"Now we have a new one. Go be a hero and gain their trust." Robotnik said and Cyrus watched on as a tank fell through a hole.
More people were seen running, including Sonic with her guitar weapon out. Swatbots appear in her view and shot lasers but she dodges.
"Sure, dudes. What you guys need is a lesson in music appreciation. Lesson number one…" Sonic said and fired her weapon continuously, sending the Swatbots flying. "Never annoy a hedgehog musician!"
Sonia and Manic ran to safety as the Swatbots crash on the ground. They stopped as more tanks approach and surround them, including another one that broke through the wall behind them.
"Well, this isn't good." Sonia said.
"Who are you telling. We're on the same wave." Manic said.
Then the tanks release ropes at them, tying them together and they struggle to break free.
"And I just had this outfit clean!" Sonia said.
Suddenly Cyrus appeared holding a Parabolic Inverter. He shot it on the ropes tying them, releasing them then shot at the tanks, paralyzing them.
"Hurry! The effect only lasts a few minutes!" Cyrus said and they ran together.
"Oh thanks, bro. What is that thing?" Manic said panting.
"Parabolic Inverter! My father invented it!"
"I can see why Robotnik wanted it!" Robotnik said.
Meanwhile Sonic was carrying a Mobian to safety until she saw something strange.
"Huh?" she said as a larger pink laser was fired and Cyrus kept shooting at the tanks. "Way cool!" she said and gave Cyrus a thumb up.
Then Cyrus, Sonia and Manic return close to Sonic and Cyrus fired his Parabolic Inverter again.
"Way to go, Cyrus! Okay. You guys get out of here. I'm gonna do one last check." she said.
"Are you sure you don't want- help?" Sonia asked but Sonic zoomed and left a trail of smoke behind.
"My guess would be... no." Manic said.
Sonic whipped up a tornado and attacked three Swatbots, followed by the tanks. She stopped and looked around the wall, and noticed all the machines were not only immobilized but attached to a wall.
"Hey, now that's what I call art!" she said.
Meanwhile all the Mobians weregetting back to work.
"Nice job out there. Welcome aboard, Cyrus." Trevor said, shook hands and rummaged in a sack.
"Uh... Thanks." Cyrus said and Trevor picked up a teddy bear from the sack.
"Well I found this in the ruins and cleaned it up."
"That's gonna make one of the kids very happy." Sonia said taking the teddy bear.
Then Sonic returned beside Manic and footage of Sonic was seen on a monitor.
"Road's clear. Let's head out!" Sonic said.
"Gee. What's she talking about?" Sleet said.
"Ssh! Now get moving." Robotnik said and Sleet and Dingo left him alone.
Meanwhile Sonic, Sonia, Manic, Cyrus and the rest of the group were holding backpacks while walking over the bridge towards a cave.
"Why is Sanctuary such a mystery?" Cyrus asked.
"It's our only safe haven. It's where we keep our kids." Sonia said.
"Huh?! Kids, no way I can do this." he said shocked, dropped his device and broke it with his foot.
The device turned out to be Robotnik's secret camera and his screen went fuzzy.
"No!" Robotnik said angrily grunting. "We lost the signal! Did you record the co-ordinates?!" he asked Sleet.
"Record? But I didn't think we needed to." Sleet said.
"Silence. Assign a special task force to this when we find it. Sanctuary will become Cemetery." Robotnik said and clasped his hands.
Meanwhile a crowd surround and cheer on Sonic, Sonia and Manic.
"Well, gee. I don't know." Sonic said and some of the crowd groan. "I guess... Sure!"
"Let's- do it!" Sonia said and the crowd cheered while Sonic Underground brought their instruments out.
[Teach the Children, Light the Way.]
The crowd clap and cheer after the song finished.
Later.
"It's working!" Manic said.
"Great!" Sonia said.
Manic was controlling a remote machine while Cyrus, Sonia and flying drones were in the background.
"No more virtual hood. Just program the co-ordinates you need, hit the pod like kill their insta-mundo." Manic said.
"Show me." Sonia said.
"OK. OK. Let's say Sonic is like "in the kitchen"."
"Which he is."
"I can recompute the co-ordinates and... that beep indicates the pod has arrived, so now I activate it. I loaded the pod with flour for the test!" he said, pressed a button and laughed as the pod ejected flour and retreated.
"Hey!" Sonic said covered with flour and a mad look on her face while he laughed and caught the drone.
"It works."
"Well." she said panting.
Later Swatbots patrol the building when Sonic peeped through the drain attached to the ground and looked around, seeing several Swatbots.
"Oh Man. It's bot central up here." Sonic said.
In the sewer, Cyrus was holding Sonic's legs while Sonia and Manic were with the former pressing a button and Sonia sniffed the place.
"Ugh. This place is gross." Sonia said disgusted.
"Hey, you're talking about my childhood home." Manic said and a bottle flew through the sewer.
Sonic let go of Cyrus, walked across the shallow water, met up with her siblings and the holo-map of a diagram was turned on as well.
"Okay. Time to juice!" Sonic said and Manic pressed a button and a red light showing random joined lines appeared. "Nice light show. What is it?"
"Detection beams. This is where we need your speed. Now look at this one." Sonia said and a hologram of Lionel appeared. "This is Lionel, Cyrus' father."
"You're moving fast enough, the beams won't detach." Manic said.
"Did you say... "if"?" Sonic said and he pointed at the map.
"It's safe to stop at these areas."
"You can see the beams with this." Sonia said and Sonic put on a special mask and enjoyed his new look, giving Sonia a thumb up.
"Cool shades!" Sonic said.
"Each guard bot you pass, mark their location by hitting this button." Sonia said and Sonic took the remote control from Sonia.
"Gotcha, let's blast!" Sonic said and zoomed into the sewer.
Meanwhile, Manic peeped through the drain and saw nothing.
"All clear!" He called out and Sonic whipped into a tornado.
"And remember! Stick to the plan!" Sonia said and the tornado whipped towards the drain and shot herself upwards while Manic and Cyrus fell over.
Now above the sewer, Sonic watched on as a Swatbot patrols the area. She dashed off and tornadoes herself to another area where a Swatbot walked through the door. She whirlwind through that door just before it closed, and then spun through the corridor past a Swatbot.
"You know, maybe we shouldn't-" Cyrus said.
"-Relax, Cyrus. Everything's okay." Sonia said and the spinning eventually stopped and Sonic looked around.
"We have found him. I can get him out of here in a Sonic Says." Sonic said.
"No, Sonic. Stick to the plan!"
"I can't do this." Cyrus said. "You gotta stop him! It's a trap! The whole thing's a trap!" he yelled out.
"What?" Manic said upset.
"It's a setup. Robotnik said he'd destroy my family if I didn't help him."
The whirlwind breezed past a Swatbot and moved into a tunnel when a translucent Lionel appeared.
"Come on, guy. We're getting you out of here." Sonic said and grabbed hold of the translucent figure but realized it's a fake. "Huh? Hmm... Do they feed you in here?" she said, raised her mask and had a look around.
Several doors opened revealing Swatbots and she gulped as they step forward and encroach her. She peeled out to dodge Swatbot laser attacks.
Meanwhile, Cyrus, Sonia and Manic became trapped as a Swatbot opened the sewer door and grabbed them with its arm.
Sonic easily dodged more Swatbot shots and taunted the robots by sticking her tongue out. Then she spun into a tornado, intercepting more Swatbot laser shots.
On Robotnik's monitor.
"What does it take to stop that little pest?" Robotnik asked.
"Sir, I know what it takes." Sleet said and pointed at the door behind him which opened, revealing Cyrus, Sonia and Manic along with two Swatbots. "Oxygen." he said, broke through the wall and passed a group of Swatbots as a tornado.
Then she dropped into the sewer and Super Spins across the water to see the remote machine but not her siblings and took off her mask.
"Oh man. This bites." she said.
Meanwhile Sonia and Manic were on the monitor.
"Attention, Sonic Hedgehog. Unless you surrender immediately I'm afraid I'll be forced to roboticize your... devious siblings." Robotnik said.
"This place is crawling with bots, and if it's this bad outside, hmm…" Sonic said holding the remote machine.
At Robotropolis Sonia and Manic were in the same room as Robotnik, Sleet and Dingo.
"Oh, Cyrus. That little attack of conscience you had. Naughty naughty. Well just to show you that no good deed goes unpunished. Show him, Dingo." Robotnik said and Dingo pushed a button, lowering the Roboticizer chamber.
It lit up and revealed a hologram of Lionel.
"Nooo!" Cyrus said anguished and tried to kick a Swatbot but its arm pulled his hair instead.
He tried to let go by kicking it. Shortly, the blue tornado arrived and zoomed across the room.
"What was that?" Robotnik asked.
"I didn't see anything." Sonia said sarcastically.
"Nuh-uh. Me neither." Manic said.
"The hedgehog!" Robotnik said pointing at Manic. "Power up the roboticizer." he said to Sleet.
"With pleasure." Sleet said and put his hands on the roboticizer's controls.
In a sewer Sonic put a chip into the machine.
"Here goes nothing." she said and six drones appeared and flew off across the sewer.
Back at Robotropolis.
"It appears your brother has forsaken you. I'm actually rather pleased." Robotnik said to Sonia and Manic as the roboticizer chamber rise.
A drone flew past him from close range, making him scream in panic. Then it shot a laser at the roboticizer's controls, melting it away. Another drone lasers around the chamber from bottom to top, melting it away too. Three more drones locked onto three swatbots and they fired lasers at their heads, knocking them down.
"No! Stop him!" Robotnik said shocked.
"Central control is down." Sleet said and pressed a button.
"You don't say. Hey, Manic. Those little pod things are neat." Sonic said and Robotnik and his workers angrily confront her. "You guys wanna get a Chili dog? Don't worry, as long as you don't move everything will be fine."
"I'd love to stay here and chat... Not!" Sonia said, flicked her hand in disgust and walked in line with Cyrus, Sonic and Manic.
"See you at the company picnic!" Sonic said and they zoomed off altogether and three drones lock onto the three villains.
"What do we do?" Sleet asked and they screamed as one drone ejected a huge cloud of flour in their faces and they were fully covered in the white stuff.
Robotnik growled in anger.
"Hedgehogs!" he screamed in anguish.
Outside it was dusk and Sonic was on the bench enjoying her Chili Dog when Sonia walked in.
"Uh oh. Here it comes. Lecture number four thousand five hundred and fifty nine. Why we follow plans. I know, sis. I know." Sonic said annoyed.
"No lecture. I'm just glad we're all safe." Sonia said and hugged her. "That was way too close."
"Yeah. It all turned out okay."
"Not all of it."
Later that night a stone was tossed into the water.
"In the fight for freedom, my children were learning that while the winds are sweet, sadly, there are also losses." Aleena narrated.
Cyrus was sitting on his own with his cheeks on his arms feeling miserable while Sonic, Sonia and Manic gather round and confront him.
