Chapter 42: The Master Enchanter

Erza, Usagi, Oden, and Wendy decided to fight Irene together.

Wendy had a question for the former samurai. "Mr. Oden, before we fight, how are you familiar with Fishman Island and the Minks?" Oden looked at the little dragon slayer's way. "When I sailed the seas with Roger and his crew, I went to Fishman Island. That, I met a Fishman child when I was living in Wano. His name is Kawamatsu and one of my Retainers. In fact, that was around the time when I first met Dogstorm and Cat Viper when they were kids. Even those two joined Whitebeard's Crew. Then later when I joined Roger's crew, Cat Viper and Dogstorm stowed away on Roger's crew.

Erza chuckled a little and she had a question of her own. "How are you and Mink Tribe connected?"

Irene had to admit she was curious herself. "Now that you mention it, I'm curious as well."

Oden didn't see a problem explaining the reason. "As far as I was told by my father, he would mention from time to time about the Mink Tribe and the Kozuki Clan having a bond. In other words, our nations are like brothers."

"He's right, our previous king would mention Kozuki and the brotherly bond we shared," Usagi added. "With that, the two Minks Cat Viper and Dogstorm sailed how to Wano to find the Kozuki. In the end, they came across Oden and became friends."

Oden smirked. "Yes, I sailed with Whitebeard and met my wife, then we had our kids and we joined Roger's crew. Then when my wife became sick, I requested Roger to drop her and my kids off at Wano with Dogstorm and Cat Viper. Then, we sailed for the last island that had the legendary treasure."

"Why didn't you stay with your wife at Wano?" Erza asked curiously.

Oden chuckled awkwardly. "Well, she reminded me of my determination for freedom and adventure, that she told me if I didn't continue my journey with Roger's crew, she would divorce me."

"Wow, sounds like your wife is tough a cookie," Erza laughed.

Oden shared Erza's laugh. "Yeah, and it was because she reminded me of my compassion, that I was able see the legendary treasure."

Irene caught notice of Erza's smiling and laughter, though, she quickly shook her head and had a question of her own. "If you're so strong, how did you die exactly?"

Oden frowned like she had asked a painful question. "Well, first off, Roger disbanded his crew and I was dropped off at Wano. When I returned I learned of evil doings in my home. After some difficulties, my retainers and I decided to wage war against the pirate emperor Kaido, King of the Beasts."

Erza, Wendy, and even Irene gasped in surprise. Usagi wasn't too surprised since was he was aware of Oden's fate.

"The fight was rough and got hard for my allies. Though, we almost took down Kaido...but...I let my guard down and that tyrant beast had an opening to strike me and my friends down." Oden sneered as images of his defeat flashed in his head. "My friends and I were going to be executed by being boiled alive. I attempted to take the punishment myself and in exchange for standing in the hot boiling pot for an hour, we would be released."

Erza and Wendy couldn't help but admire Oden's dedication to his people as well as his followers. "I managed to survive for an hour, but Kaido and his partner Orochi broke their promise to set us free and were about to kill us...so, I tossed my friends and gave them time to escape...in the end...I lost my life..."

Irene had another question. "You said that you had children of your own, right?"

Oden turned to look at the red scarlet Enchanter. "Yes, my son's name is Momonosuke and my daughter's name is Hiyori."

Erza chuckled a bit. "Momonosuke and Hiyori, nice names."

"Yes, even though, I was told that they haven't arrived in Zou, I can imagine my wife used her powers to assist in their escape."

Wendy was curious about what Oden meant by his words. "Wait, your wife's powers...are you talking about a devil fruit?"

Oden nodded. "Yes, my wife has the power to leap through time." Wendy, Erza, Usagi, and Irene gasped in surprise not expecting to hear that.

"Enough about me and my backstory, I suggest we continue this fight," Oden suggested a serious expression appeared on his face.

"Agreed!" Wendy soared through the air in her Dragon Force form with incredible speed and did a dropkick.

Oden was stunned by the girl's speed. "She's fast!"

Irene was nearly caught off guard though she was able to block the girl using her staff. She managed to push the young girl away.

Wendy landed back on her feet. "I'm sorry about that pain that you went through..." She gave the older woman a serious look of her own. "But, still, you threw your only child away and that is something I won't forgive."

Irene just chuckled amusingly. "Listen, little dragon slayer, do you know of the Dragon Seed I mentioned? Like me, you have one growing inside you too."

Wendy didn't even flinch at the detail. "I'm aware of that. My mother Grandeney made sure of that and was able to fix that."

Irene gasped in surprise. "What?"

It was Oden's turn to be surprised. "Hold on, your dragon mother was able to help with something like that?"

Wendy nodded. "Yes, my mother created antibodies and was able to use them to prevent me from transformation."

"That's right, other dragon slayers won't be turning dragons either," Erza added.

Irene gripped her staff tightly in frustration. "No...this time there was a way for me..." An angry face was shown on her face.

Lucy and Happy kept using their body heat to warm up Natsu.

In the unknown realm

Natsu continued until he heard a familiar face. "There is more than one seed inside." The pinkette turned around abruptly. "It's you...hold, you're saying you know what is making me act weird?"

"Yes, that is the demon seed, besides the dragon seed that I was able to take care of. The point is, both seeds are now miraging together once that happens you'll die..."

Natsu lowered his head looking sad. "No...it...can't..."

Irene gritted her teeth upon hearing Wendy's story. "I see the dragon that card for you and halted the dragon's seeds growth. The dragon that granted me my power died before my eyes. So, I took his name and sore to avenge." Her eyes were hidden by her hair. "After centuries of pain, I learn it could've been prevented!"

An enraged expression appeared on her face as she pointed at her staff. "It was all for nothing!"

Usagi drew his two swords. "Sword Magic: Lightning Flash!" He zapped toward Irene with lightning speed and his two swords were covered in lighting magic."Two Sword Rabbit Style: X Cross!"

Irene blocked it but barely as she felt strong electricity shock her body. "He's not bad..." She manage to push the rabbit mink in the air.

Erza pointed her swords at her mother. "I can put you out of your misery!"

Wendy was already a step ahead. "Physical Abilities rise, Deus Eques!" Erza felt her physical strength increase.

Oden was greatly astonished. "Wow, incredible!"

Irene just smiled at the display putting her left hand out front. "Predictable. Separation Enchantment!" Her hand was surrounded by a rainbow-like sphere.

"I can cancel your Desu Eques with my own!" Wendy declared taking Irene by surprise. "She has enchantments like that."

"This is the end!" Erza swung her sword downward on Irene's head.

She managed to make her enemy bleed, though, Irene didn't even flinch. "I see the enchantment that I tried to use on you that failed. I thought it was because you were an infinite, perhaps our biological connections or it was just a flaw. Lastly, I thought it was because enchanting one's personality into another body was impossible. However, there must be a compatibility between them."

Erza didn't like where Irene was going with her words. Irene put her left arm out. "Who would ever think one day that a young body of both dragon slayer and enchanter right before my eyes."

Wendy let out a small gasp and went silent for a moment.

"What happened little girl?" Oden asked.

Usagi was able to sense an unknown danger coming from, it was faint but he was able to recognize the power. "Erza, Oden, stay back!"

A dark red aura emitted from Wendy's body. "Oooh...how long I waited for this moment...my magic has decreased but, I suppose that's fine."

Erza was in disbelief. "What did you say?"

A sinister smile was formed on Wendy's face. "I will have a new life with this new body...Irene Belsersion."

"Holy crap, is she possessing her body somehow?" Oden questioned with wide eyes of shock.

"My left thigh is slightly injured and I appear to be covered in bruises." Wendy(Irene)spoke. "Such a small body, so cute."

"Where is Wendy?" Erza demanded.

"I suppose you can she's still inside here," Wendy gestured at herself. "To answer your question samurai man, this isn't a form of possession!"

She delivered a kick right into Oden's stomach.

"Oden!" Usagi yelled.

"You're next!" Wendy(Irene)delivered a kick right into Usagi's cheek sending him crashing into a pile of rubble.

"Stop this crap!" Erza cursed as she tried to rush at Wendy only to be kicked in the stomach too.

"I've become this dragon slayer," Wendy(Irene)chuckled with a sinister smile. "so, Mommy has no use for you anymore."

Erza skidded her feet against the ground while holding her stomach in pain. "Damn you..."

Wendy put her arm out unleashing a strong gust of wind at Erza. "Her magic power hasn't gone down as I thought. It seems this girl has more quality."

Erza was lying on the ground in pain. "Playtime is over, I mean it would look weird to be your mother since I'm a child. So, I'll erase you from this world."

Oden sat up from the kick. "Damn, that girl can kick." He suddenly heard a voice.

"Mr...Oden..." The former Daimyo gasped in surprise. "Mr. Oden...help me..."

"Little girl...is that you...but, how am I able to..." He remembered how he was able to hear voices in the sea and when he was walking through Zou. "Wait, this isn't the voice like the ones I heard before. It must be an ability...either way...where is the girl..." He looked around searching for the voice.

"Mr...Oden...over...here..." He looked to see Irene's body and his eyes widened. "No way..is she...still.." He rushed over to the Twelve's unconscious body.

Wendy(Irene)continued her assault on Erza and was overpowering her. "Sky Dragon Slayer magic...quite interesting. Let me try this now." She jumped into the air and floated in the air too. She unleashed another of Wendy's magic dealing more damage to Erza.

Erza knelt down in pain. "Wendy, snap out of it, push her out!"

"Wendy is no more...she's nothing but a memory..." Wendy(Irene)replied coldly. "For now on, I'm Wendy Belserion!"

"You're just a parasite, you can't have her!" Erza dashed to a large chunk of a wall and came close to swinging her blade.

"Are you sure, can you bring yourself to harm your friend?" Hearing that made Erza halt her attack. She remembered her times with Wendy including when she offered to take her Fairy Tail.

Seeing her chance, Irene swung her left hand scratching Erza. "You fool...you're too soft to survive this war!" She put her right arm out which glowed a bright green. "Enchant the Armor...Explosion!"

Erza rolled down as her body was covered in a rainbow-like sphere and exploded. Once the smoke cleared, she saw she was unharmed. "Wait, how did I survive?"

Irene was stunned that her spell didn't deal any damage. "Looks like it worked," Oden spoke.

"Increasing all attribute resistances Deus Corona..." Irene looked to see her original body standing up. "If we are fellow enchanters maybe I can do it..."

Oden smiled proudly as Irene(Wendy)glanced at him. "Thanks to Oden for guiding my voice, I was able to make this work." Wendy and Erza were stunned to see Irene's body standing up.

"No way, she was able to master the Personality Enchantment..." Wendy(Irene)muttered in utter disbelief.

"These breasts are so heavy..." Irene said squeezing her chest.

Oden was in awe seeing such a scene. "Don't look you perv!" Erza barked making the samurai jump comically.

Irene(Wendy)put her hands together gathering magic. "Your magic is powerful...I think I'll use it to teach you a lesson!"

Wendy(Irene)put her hands out front blocking the magic energy stream. "She's pushing me away?!"

Irene(Wendy)put her left hand out. "Separation Enchantment." Irene felt her hold on Wendy's body beginning to slip. "No, you can't pull me out of here!"

"Wrong, you said yourself that your body is weaker," Irene(Wendy)reminded. "I admit this new one has advantages, but I lived my life being small! GIVE THE OLD ME BACK!"

Wendy(Irene)gritted her teeth in anger. "Damn you!" She started to cut her hip with her right hand.

"What is she doing?" Erza asked.

"You still want your body back even with so many scars?" Wendy(Irene)asked as she kept injuring her new body.

"Yes, I might've gotten a lot of injuries back then, but, they reminded me of the times I fought for those I loved. The times I was sad and was comforted by my friends!" Irene(Wendy)proclaimed with determination.

Suddenly out of nowhere, Usagi appeared behind her and grabbed hold of the young girl's arms. "Where'd you come from?"

"Usagi, what are you doing over there?" Oden asked a little surprised.

"Helping Wendy..." Usagi answered not even losing his grip. "I'll make sure Irene doesn't damage your body..." His body began to feel pain and he noticed Irene(Wendy)was a little hesitant and almost lowered her arm. "No...keep going, use your spell to get your body back and hurry...I don't care what happens to me...like you said...our scars make us stronger!"

"Usagi..." Oden whispered proudly with tears in his eyes.

Irene(Wendy)nodded her head and kept her spell going. Then Separation Enchantment was a success, both were back in their original bodies.

Wendy fell on her knees exhausted. "Erza...I'm back..."

Irene, the real one looked back to see the rabbit mink still holding onto her. "Meddling rabbit beast!" She elbowed the mink in the stomach sending him crashing down.

"Usagi!" Erza yelled.

Oden caught him just in time. "Got ya." He went over to Wendy. "You okay, Wendy Marvel?"

"Yeah..." Wendy replied quietly.

Erza was relieved. "Oden, you think you can keep an eye on them while I handle this?" Oden looked at the red-haired teen's direction and nodded.

She smiled and requiped for a new armor. "Cleart Heart Clothing!"

"Wretched little brats..." Irene growled viciously and swung her hand creating an explosion.

Erza jumped in the air dodging it and dived down avoiding more of Irene's spells by jumping off piles of rumble. "All the time I protected kept you in my womb and from this time, you've become a disappointment! Why must you get in my way of happiness!?"

"I can tell you endured much misery!" Erza soared through taking a swing with her sword. "Still, I won't take pity on you!"

"What the hell do you know about misery?!" Irene yelled.

"After you abandoned me, my village was attacked by a cult, they tried to take my humanity. It might not be as long as 400 hundred years, but, it affected me so much." She jumped into the air. "But, it was because of that I was able to meet my real family and become the person I am today!"

"Enough of nonsense, I hate your presence and for that, I will kill you myself!" Irene declared as her body began to transform once more.

Irene was now in her dragon form.

"Holy crap, she can do that?" Oden exclaimed as he was suddenly reminded of Kaido's Devil Fruit power.

"Time for me to crush you into oblivion!" Irene swung her dragon claw at Erza, who tried to block it but was pushed away quickly and was sent crashing onto the ground in pain.

"She...knocked me down...with one...hit..." Erza coughed as she felt her body numb. "No...my bones feel like they're...shattered."

Irene noticed her daughter's condition. "Let's see you move now." Erza wasn't able to move at the least. "You see my power has been gone up..."

Oden looked at his swords. "I wonder..."

"Now I'll turn you into dust! Deus Sema!" A meteor was falling toward Erza.

"Wait...she can do...that..." Erza thought. "If that hits me...I'll be dead for sure...maybe...I'll try...my Haki..." She attempted to create the metal structure on her body, but, nothing happened. "No...my bones must be shattered so badly that I'm unable to summon the Armament Haki..." She suddenly felt movement in her right arm. "Wait. my right arm...I can move it...in the case..." She gathered magic energy within it and launched herself into the air.

"Erza, catch!" The scarlet wizard caught one of Oden's legendary swords Emma. "This sword...it feels...so...strong..."

"That's one of my legendary swords, the one you hold is called Emma. If you want it takes to use it, then go ahead, I believe you can use it!" Oden proclaimed. "Use it to take down the enemy before you!"

"You got it!" Erza continued toward the comet. "Irene, I'm known as Titana in Fairy Tail. It was the name of the queen great fairy. Since you're the queen of dragons, I'll be the queen of fairies. One that protects and loves her people! I don't know much about Roger and Whitebeard, but, I will honor their memory for saving my master Makarov!" Her body was surrounded by a golden light.

"What is...my daughter...doing..." Irene thought in wonder. "Is she even human?"

The fight with Irene is coming to a close, Usagi and Wendy are out while being looked after by Oden, who lends one of his legendary swords to Erza. Now, Erza makes her way to the massive comet, what will the outcome be, find out next time.
