Chapter 74 Image of Caring

At the palace Tenchi was painting in his garden as Mine was sitting on a chair as she waits.
"You know, it's nice to be a model for you." She smiles.
He smiles back. "It's always a passion of mine."
Now that he has some free time, he will do some of his hobbies and the girls are more than happy enough to help.
Fu then came. "Can I be next?"
"Oh of course." He said.
Tenchi smiles at them since this was something he always loved to do.
He managed to finish Mine's but he saw Ana come out.
"Oh Ana, did you also want a painting?" He asked.
"Yes daddy." She nodded.
"Well Ana can have my turn." Fu said being nice to her.
Mine got off as Tenchi puts a new canvas for Ana.
"You really enjoy doing these paintings." Kotori came.
"Well it's been something I always loved to do, of course some mocked my paintings." He said.
"Are you serious?! They're wonderful!" Mine got mad.
"Some enjoyed them, but some mocked me for doing them, but I didn't care." Tenchi said.
Some of the nations liked his paintings but sometimes he's worried they only say that because he was the Supreme Shogun.
"Well on the bright side many would buy your paintings since they have more value coming out of your hands." Mine said.
"Yeah, that makes gettig funds easier without taxes, since they just need to buy my paintings." Tenchi said.
He at least makes a painting for each of his lovers and family to hang them on the walls of the palace, it's a great way to show the people he loves and his work.
"Okay Ana, just stay still for a bit and you'll get to take a break." Tenchi said.
"Okay." She nodded.
Tenchi kept painting before he was finished. "Okay now it's Fu."
He works more on the paintings before he was finished with the girls for now.
Tenchi goes back to the palace to get some rest, but then he noticed Sakura at the main entrance.
"What? Sakura what brings you here?" He said.
"Oh, well I wanted to talk about what happened the other day." She said.
"Wait really?" He said.
"Yes, I know Naruto went out of line, you only tried to make us happy despite your hate for what Sasuke did." She said.
"Well he did try to kill the people I care about too, and i'm not even the one that killed him, but you don't need to apologize." He said.
"But I felt it was my right since i'm friends with him, and it was part of my fault too." Sakura said.
Tenchi goes up to her and puts a hand on her shoulder. "As I said, don't worry about it."
Sakura smiles a bit at his words, she then noticed the paintings. "Oh you paint a lot."
"Oh yes, I think you heard since some of the paintings are being sold to the other villages." He said.
"Yes, but it seems you kept the portraits of your family here." Sakura said.
"It be weird if I sold those ones." He said.
"Say how about I offer some tea and treats to you." Tenchi offered her.
"Well I don't want to..." She then noticed Kurenai come out of a room. "Kurenai!"
"Oh Sakura." She got surprised.
"Wait, does she live here now?" Sakura said since many don't know the truth.
"Well I started to live here for our child. Since Tenchi wanted to raise her." Kurenai said.
"Oh, well good for you." Sakura said.
"Well we can all talk together, so do you want to take that offer Sakura?" Tenchi said.
"Oh, well okay." She scratches her cheek.
Sakura went to the living room and it's so big with many fancy stuff.
"I never expected it to be like this." She was stunned.
"Well it was from the previous ruler, and they left it the same." Tenchi chuckles.
"Your the only guy that doesn't care about the money." Mine was sitting nearby eating cake.
"Well, do you always do paintings for everyone Tenchi?" Sakura asked.
"If they ask, then yeah I do." He said.
He doesn't do arrogant guys that think they can get away, one guy once tried to forge his paintings and he got punished.
"Do you want one Sakura?" He offered her.
"Me?" She got surprised.
"Yeah, I think I can make it wonderful." Tenchi smiles.
She blushes a bit hearing that. "Well... Thanks."
Tenchi felt bad for Sakura, she lost the guy she fell in love, he did tell her that sometimes that love won't be the same, but he wants to help her anyway he can.
They went together and Sakura saw Ana looking at her.
"Oh hi, your Ana right?" Sakura waves at her.
Ana stares at her. "Are you a new mommy?"
"Huh?!" Sakura got shocked hearing that.
"Ana, don't jump to conclusions." Tenchi said.
"Is she always like that?" Sakura asked.
"Sometimes, she just likes having a big family." Tenchi sighs.
Ana looks at Sakura and she inspects her a lot.
"Ana don't bother Sakura." Tenchi said.
"Okay." Ana goes to her room.
"Sorry about that." Tenchi said.
"It's okay, she must have been used having so many mothers for her." Sakura said.
"Well let's go." Tenchi said and they went to the garden.
Sakura spent some time with Tenchi and he even made a painting of her, it was nice hanging out with them, since she never had someone care for her this much outside of her true friends.
