Rebuild SKL is Kaiser
ESKK: Well, here we are the battle for which you've all been waiting. It's been a good run and hopefully this will lead to an improved version of the crapshoot that was 3.0 + 1.0 Once Upon a Time. Enjoy the chapter.
(Start Shinji and Kaworu NERV)
Shinji and Kaworu stood before the EVA ready to board it in their new plugsuits. Pressing a familiar button on the suits arms the plugsuits pressurized and blew the excess hair out the neck causing their hairs to billow. Once this was done the pair of pilots were suited up and ready for the mission.
Kaworu noted how Shinji looked upset and decided to ease the boy. "Worry not Shinji-Kun." Kaworu said as he drew Shinji's attention on him. "Once we retrieve the lances… we can undue the damages caused by the Third Impact." Kaworu said but Shinji was not listening to him.
"But not restore the people lost to it or the ones about to be lost." Shinji retorted showing that he did not want to do this. But if Gendo was to be believed he will not hesitate to deploy Iron Kaiser to start a rampage. Rei-Q was also wearing her plugsuit ready to deploy as well as she was to act as Unit-13's escort for when WILLE arrives to intercept them both. She was given sufficient warning to keep a close eye on Unit-13 in case Shinji stalls for time or actively assists WILLE. Gendo had placed countermeasures with the later option and in the event, Shinji stalls Iron Kaiser was the ideal motivator to keep Shinji in line with his scenario.
"Shinji-Kun." Kaworu began but then Shinji cut the boy off.
"No! Don't give me those false platitudes we both know what this really is." Shinji said as he was upset to be made into piloting the EVA again. "So just be quiet and get into the EVA." Shinji said and in turn he walked off leaving Kaworu there by himself.
This was not the Shinji he was hoping to see because already he had failed to provide what he set out to do. He had failed to create a world where Shinji would truly smile and thanks to this Fourth Impact was about to begin. Standing there by himself Kaworu felt truly alone once more knowing that the Shinji Ikari he wanted to see was not here and would not be here for him to see. It was saddening and upsetting but Kaworu had to persist if they retrieve the lances then he can finally finish what he set out to do, create a world where Shinji would be happy. So, departing from the scene Kaworu began to make his way to Unit-13 as he prepared for the coming mission.
Shinji however was hoping WILLE would detect Unit-13's activation and come running. They and Kaiser were his only chance of stopping this and preventing his father from deploying Iron Kaiser. As he made his way over to Unit-13's Entry Plug Shinji noted that it was using a duel plug system which got him somewhat curious.
"The EVA needs two pilots to operate." Kaworu suddenly said as he approached his own Entry Plug. "Just as with the Lances you need two souls to wield them, one for each." Kaworu said and thus Shinji wondered if this was Ritsuko's idea or some other scientist working on EVA.
"I see." Shinji said and in turn he and Kaworu proceeded to enter the Plug. Once they were inside and seated the Plugs spun in and thus were ready to deploy. Unit-13's four eyes flashed to life as it began to synch up with the two pilots for the mission.
(Scene Break Wundur Command Deck)
WILLE had been waiting for the alert to pop up ever since NERV took Shinji with Ryo helping them from the inside. "Evangelion activation detected!" Hyuga shouted as alarms went off all over the panels.
Misato only kept a cool posture while watching the movement, knowing that Gendo had activated a new EVA Unit. It was the only reason he abducted Shinji and while she was fully believed that Shinji may have been blackmailed or coursed, she still had to keep a clear mind and look into every possibility.
"Track the location!" Ritsuko ordered the men, everyone was agitated by the situation.
"Its located in the Original NERV Base in Japan!" Tama spoke as he received the information on his console.
As this information reached Misato and Ritsuko's ears, they both stared at each other for they knew what was in this region, with a shaky, controlled sigh, Misato quickly ordered.
"Set course for Japan!" Misato ordered strongly, as this was what they were waiting for. Now that the EVA Gendo was making had been activated WILLE can track them down.
"Full speed ahead!" Ritsuko ordered as she joined Misato's side, looking at her face that remained cold at all times. But even through this Ritsuko saw the flash of hope in her eyes and she knew what Misato was hopeful for, rescuing Shinji Ikari.
"Estimated time of arrival in four hours." Midori replacement, one Sayaka Yumi spoke from her seat. Midori's replacement had long since adjusted to her new position quiet well and had been proven to be an excellent communications handler like Midori. The only difference was that Sayaka was not going to jeopardize a mission out of a need to get revenge.
Assenting to this new information, Misato only had to wait, but knowing that this trip would be long, her mind would have many hours to think and torture her. "Have the pilots ready for deployment once we arrive, we're going in hot." Misato ordered and thus Sayaka nodded and sent out the call for them.
(Meanwhile over with Akira Dreamscape)
A fire was blazing as it looked like a tribal bonfire, if only that had been the case. This was another group of madmen who had given up their senses in favor of their primal desires for power and violence. The were dressed in loin cloths and tribal paint as they seem to be celebrating. Around them were several wild animals from elephants to jaguars as they men all reveled. But around them woman were seen stripped naked and tied up in shibari as the men had their way with them against their will. These woman were the latest captures by the tribe as they were humiliated and defiled by these men.
In this chaos of a post Third Impact world the strong survived and the weak perished. When it seemed that this den of suffering would continue a man was about to whip a woman some more as she was in tears from the pain and defilement. All of a sudden, another whip shot out and wrapped around the mans neck yanking him down to the ground. The man gasped for breath as the whip tightened its hold as the source of it was Eve currently wearing a cloak. She was currently 13 years old making this a whole year before WILLE would go up into space to retrieve Shinji and his EVA unit.
Eve then made a hard yank and in turn snapped the man's neck before pulling her whip off of him. "Well, ain't she a cutey!" The leader, a man with a crocodile headpiece said licking his lips. Around him were nude woman also with tribal paint on their bare skins. "Get her, strip her, bring her to me!" He called out as his men got moving.
But before one could get close his head was suddenly sliced off as a few more found bullets lodged into their head. Looking to the source was Akira who had his Katana drawn and dripping blood and Kuzo who had his guns out with the barrels smoking a bit.
"I heard a party was going on here." Akira said as he licked his lips with sadistic glee. "Don't mind if I join in?" Akira offered as he looked at the group of men.
"Disgusting pigs." Eve said as she cracked her whip ready to make them hurt. This was mainly a supply run on their part freeing the taken woman and any surviving men from these men was just a bonus for the trio.
"Kill them!" The leader roared pushing his woman down violently.
They charged in and in turn the trio did the same. Akira and Kuzo were making short work of them with Kuzo firing his guns and Akira cleaving through his foes. Blood spewed out as the men were being killed off by the pair.
Kuzo took a moment to reload and when he did, he opened fire on the attacking predator animals sent at them. Kuzo was made aware of this man's ability to control these animals and had prepared accordingly with Eve.
Eve meanwhile used her whip with lethal fury taking out limbs and a few eyes with it as she cracked it about. The leader saw his tribe was being snuffed out when the three 13-year-olds directed their attention over to him. He was wide eyed by this as they charged in weapons drawn while his remaining men were being cowards.
"Stay back!" He called out and in turn an Elephant charged at them. Akira smirked and to the shock of many jumped over the creature with his sword raised. With a sadistic smile Akira came down and proceeded to take the mans head off with it causing his blood to spew out. The woman he had cried out as the blood spewed at them staining their faces.
Kuzo spun around and opened fire again making sure to hit the now dead leaders tribe. When he stopped Kuzo glared at them ready to take them all out. "Now who else is ready to die?" Kuzo asked with a sadistic smile of his own. The trio began to regroup as Akira threw several knives out to free the tied-up humiliated woman while Eve gathered the cloths to cover their bodies and shame up in.
But then the world changed for Akira as it began to turn blood red. Akira didn't seem to mind it but as he walked a red crystal began to rise from the ground as he walked past it. Looking to the image Akira was wide eyed at what and who he saw in there, himself four years old crying looking fearful to the world around him. But before Akira could lash out at it the entire world vanished in a flash with a blaring sound.
(Scene Break the waking world)
Akira's eyes snapped open in shock as he looked around and saw alarms were blaring. "Get up." Kuzo said as he was suiting up. "Looks like they found him." Kuzo said and thus Akira grinned.
"Eve is going to love this." Akira said as he got up and began to grab his gear as well.
"No kidding." Kuzo said agreeing with Akira's assessment on things. After all Eve all but worshiped the ground Shinji walked on even if she hid it well behind logic and professionalism while out on missions.
(Later in the Strategy)
Still on the command bridge, the crew was working efficiently, knowing that moments like this, information gathering was essential to get the job done perfectly. Hence why Misato was in the strategy room with Ritsuko, and the EVA Pilots and mech pilots discussing their attack plan.
"As you all know we've found Shinji we're pushing the Wundur's engines to max power to make it before NERV can trigger the Fourth Impact." Misato said as she looked to the group. Hyuuga and Makoto were also there, as was Maya to discuss what they do know.
"Do we know what we're dealing with?" Eve asked crossing her arms and showing she needed combat information to effectively fight with.
"Just expect everything and anything our primary concern is the retrieval of the Specimen." Ritsuko said causing Eve to glare at her.
"Of Shinji say his name right or don't talk." Eve said with a glare causing Ritsuko to glare back at Rei Ayanami's daughter.
"Enough." Misato said preventing an argument between Eve and Ritsuko. "We're need to be ready for a fight. Miki this will be your first live combat operation follow instructions." Misato said and thus Miki nodded to this.
"Y-yes ma'am." Miki said knowing they had to be ready for anything NERV will be throwing at them.
"Anyway, we'll be splitting into two teams to fight Asuka, Miki, Kuzo, and Akira you four will comprise Death Caprice you're the spear for this operation." Misato said giving her strategy to the group. "Once your in and make contact with the enemy do not hesitate to engage but in the event, Shinji is in there try to establish communication." Misato said and thus the four nodded to this.
"Boring." Akira said causing others to glare at him. "Don't worry I won't fuck this up." Akira said waving them off.
"Mari, Eve, Hurricane, Flash, and Misty you four will comprise Glen Falcon and act as support for Death Caprice." Misato said and thus the five female pilots nodded to this.
"Right!" They all called out and thus Misato nodded to this.
Misato then directed her attention to all of the gathered pilots knowing they were bringing the fight to NERV. "Good we're still gathering information and will relay it to you before we deploy, I suggest you all suit up." Misato said making it clear that the Pilots had to be ready for the fight. With a nod of confirmation from the nine pilots here they all got ready to move out and go into battle.
(Scene Break at NERV Shinji)
Shinji sat in his Entry Plug inside Unit-13 as he could see Kaworu in his own Plug next to him. Looking down the tunnel towards Terminal Dogma Shinji knew that things could go wrong here. He had been stalling for time drifting to the side until he hit the wall causing him to fake an apology and continue the descent.
Rei-Q was in her own EVA as she escorted Unit-13 down the shaft under orders from Gendo Ikari. Lowering down the shaft her EVA was also seen to be wielding a Scythe in case of trouble from WILLE's inevitable arrival. She noted how Unit-13 had drifted and had to correct the EVA several times to ensure it continued its intended path.
Shinji hated this truly he did but if he refused Gendo will use Iron Kaiser to kill hundreds of people thousands even. Shinji was no soldier he knew that he couldn't sacrifice anyone for the greater good, it was the one part of himself he could not hope to outgrow. Gendo knew this and had taken full advantage of it to force compliance from Shinji. With no way around it Shinji was stuck so all he could do was stall for time and hope WILLE makes it here in time.
(Meanwhile over with Gendo)
Gendo observed the operation with a glare behind his visor. He knew his son was stalling hence why he had Rei go down with him. It was to make sure that Shinji's attempts at stalling was met with many failures. Gendo was no fool he knew his son after their initial meeting had grown to be rebellious against him. Gendo must not and will not allow for such rebellious acts. The boy will comply, and he will smile and thank Gendo for such an opportunity.
As he continued to observe however he saw that they were about to reach the wall that had blocked his goal ever since the true Third Impact had been halted. Gendo allowed himself a small smirk as he knew that soon everything he needs, and desires will be within reach. Shinji had nothing and Gendo would ensure that was fact after spending Shinji's entire life to ensure he was isolated.
(Back at Terminal Dogma's tunnel)
Unit-13 and Rei-Q continued their descent to what Shinji felt was the Gates of Hell. Shinji didn't know exactly what his father wanted down here but he knew whatever it was would lead to Fourth Impact and the death of everyone he has ever loved.
"What?" Shinji asked as he saw a massive red wall currently standing in the way. "We need to stop." Shinji said pulling back on the controls to make the EVA stop its approach.
"What is wrong?" Gendo's voice was heard from the communication link up.
"There's a wall standing in the way I can't go any further." Shinji said hoping Gendo would buy it.
"Regardless proceed towards the objective." Gendo ordered causing Shinji to curse his luck on this one.
"Do not worry, Shinji-Kun." Kaworu said as he drew Shinji's attention. "We will make it through." He added and thus Shinji rolled his eyes before he pushed forward on the controls towards the target objective.
Honestly, Shinji was hoping it would fail he wanted the wall to stand firm and reject their approach. Maybe as a sign that God had not forsaken the human race. But alas it would not be as the moment Unit-13 came into contact with the wall it broke apart shattering and rained down the tunnel allowing the two EVA's passage. Shinji was remorseful for this as they got closer to Terminal Dogma where the Lance of Longinus and the Lance of Cassius were being held.
Descending down upon the final layer Shinji knew it was do or die. If WILLE does not show up to stop this soon then humanity and this planet was doomed. All Shinji could do at this point was hope for the best outcome to happen and WILLE arrives on time.
At the same time Rei-Q observed and subtly pushed Unit-13 forward to go faster. She was subtle about it as she would not allow Shinji to stall for time here. Shinji with Unit-13 must draw the Spears from the corpse bellow and begin Fourth Impact. Commander Ikari had decreed it as such and in turn his will shall be heard.
(Meanwhile with Gendo and Fuyutsuki)
The two old men watched as Unit-13 approached Terminal Dogma as Fuyutsuki knew that all Shinji can do now was stall and buy WILLE time. "So, they've made it." Fuyutsuki said as he saw the operation take place.
"Yes, the Lances are within our reach." Gendo said and thus Fuyutsuki could only nod to this.
"Very well… then may God have mercy on us all." Fuyutsuki said as he watched the scene being played out. However, in the shadows a familiar Clone back from Hell was stalking as she glared at her prey. Gendo and Fuyutsuki were the final obstacles to Iron Kaiser her tool to destroy the Skull mech.
(Back over at Terminal Dogma)
The two EVA Units arrived at Terminal Dogma in a room with what looked to be EVA skulls scattered across the entire floor and massive white headless corpse at the top. Atop that was what looked to be another EVA unit with two crimson red spears lodged into its body. This place was where it happened 14 years ago this was the Ground Zero of the True Third Impact incident. "So that's the spears we're looking for?" Shinji asked when he saw their intended prize.
"Yes, the spears that will save the world." Kaworu said as he was ready to approach. "Come now Shinji-Kun." Kaworu said and pushed on the controls only Unit-13 did not move. "Shinji-Kun?" Kaworu asked with concern for Shinji.
"Sorry, this has been happening a lag between us." Shinji lied as he knew why it was not responding it was because the Pilots were not in consensus for the missions outcome.
"Shinji-Kun you know as well as I do that the Spears will grant our wish to save this world." Kaworu said but Shinji ignored him.
"I know just give me a moment." Shinji said and thus he began the approach towards the two red spears. "Kaworu… I remember the spear you stabbed me with." Shinji began as he looked to Kaworu. "Was that Cassius?" Shinji asked and thus Kaworu heard what Shinji asked.
"You… remember?" Kaworu asked but all of a sudden, an explosion went off behind their EVA knocking Unit-13 forward a bit. From above Kaiser, Unit-02y, and Miki's Unit-10 arrived, and all landed on in Terminal Dogma together.
Asuka was the first to move as she attacked with her Unit-02y. In response and likely under Kaworu's control Unit-13 deployed two funnels that produced an AT-Field to protect it. Asuka's attack bounced off the EVA causing the girl to growl when this happened and jumped back. Following this up was Kaiser who charged in with the Ganzanto as Akira roared out to this and clashed with the EVA's AT-Field as well.
"Damn that's one strong field!" Akira called out before grinning to this as Kaiser jumped back from it. "That just makes this all the more fun!" Akira voiced as he was ready for battle.
"Asuka!" Shinji cried out much to the shock of the pilots. "Asuka that's you right?" He asked on an open channel to Asuka.
"Shinji? Why are you in that EVA?!" Asuka asked and thus Shinji had to be fast about this.
"I'll be brief my father has a new robot he plans to deploy on every human save zone if I don't pilot and pull those spears out!" Shinji called as Unit-13 pointed to the spears on the corpse. "I don't know what will happen but if my father is demanding it then it can't be good!" Shinji called out warning the other pilots.
"Wundur did you get all that?" Asuka asked to her communication uplink to the Wundur.
(Meanwhile the Wundur Command Deck)
"We got it all." Misato said as she saw her crew already at work. "This complicates things find that robot now!" Misato ordered knowing they had to find where Gendo was storing that robot before Shinji is forced by him to pull the spears out.
"On it!" Sayaka called out as she and the radar team were trying to find this machines signal.
(With Gendo)
"Don't think you've won Katsuragi." Gendo said and thus gave the next order to Rei-Q. "Rei engage the enemies." Gendo ordered and thus he got a response from her.
"Yes." Rei-Q responded and got to work. Following it up Gendo began to activate his failsafe for Unit-13 to ensure that the two spears are pulled out.
(Back to the battle)
Before anyone could say or do anything else Rei-Q went on the attack against them. "Look out!" Miki cried out and thus stood in Rei-Q's path using her AT-Field to stop the enemy EVA unit. Seeing this Kaiser charged in and grabbed Reo-Q's EVA by its head before slamming it down to the ground and into the EVA sized skulls. Once that was done Kaiser grabbed the EVA by its legs before flinging it across the area watching as it rolled and crashed causing the large bio mech some damage.
"Ok those two should keep Wonder fake busy." Asuka said as she looked to see the damages Kaiser and Miki were delivering on to Rei-Q. "Lets get you out of here Shinji." Asuka said turning towards Shinji and Unit-13.
"Right." Shinji said but then stopped as Unit-13 shifted its attention. "What?!" Shinji asked and thus he felt his plug peel back cutting off his commands. "Asuka the EVA its not responding!" Shinji called out trying to get it to move. "Kaworu!" Shinji snapped glaring at Kaworu, but he was in a similar predicament.
"It's not responding to me as well." Kaworu confessed and thus Shinji was wide eyed to this.
Unit-13 began to make its way over to the massive corpse only to be stopped by Asuka. "STOP!" Asuka yelled only for Unit-13 to drag Asuka in and shoved her away hard in response. Asuka then had to avoid the funnels sent at her from the now rogue EVA as the enemy EVA began attacking.
"Shit!" Asuka cursed as she tried to fight bac against the bigger and more advanced EVA.
The two were locked in combat as Shinji was trying to regain control of the EVA. "What is this what's going…" Shinji began but then it hit him. "The Dummy Plug." Shinji said realizing what Gendo was doing now.
"Shinji what are you doing in there!?" Asuka yelled as she tried to fight back Unit-13.
"It's a Dummy Plug my father equipped this EVA with Dummy Plugs!" Shinji called out as he didn't realize his father had improved the technology.
'Of course, Shinji knows what happened last time and he knew Shinji would stall.' Asuka thought to herself realizing Gendo had been crazy prepared.
Back with Kaiser and Miki's fight against Rei-Q Miki and Rei-Q locked blades as Miki's Katana clashed with Rei-Q's scythe. Miki then had her EVA kick Rei-Q's breaking the deadlock before her pylons opened and released gunfire from the armor.
"Akira Kuzo go help Asuka!" Miki called out as she was keeping Rei-Q at bay. "I'll hold her here!" Miki said knowing that Unit-13 was the greater threat right now.
"Right just don't die!" Akira called out and thus Kaiser went over to assist Asuka with the Dummy Operated Unit-13.
(Back over on the Wundur)
"A Dummy Plug!?" Misato asked shocked at the words used.
"So, he was still improving on that design." Ritsuko said as she knew Gendo now had access to those lances. "But if the Dummy while carrying two Pilots draws the Lances… Fourth Impact." Ritsuko said as the situation was growing dire for the human race. "We may need to consider lethal methods." Ritsuko said as she knew that finding that robot would be useless if they can't stop the Unit-13.
(Meanwhile back over with Gendo)
Gendo was no longer facing the dead head of Lilith as Fuyutsuki stumbled forward with a stab wound on his person. Standing before him was the burned Rei as she had an insane look on her horrifyingly burned face as she held a bloody knife in her hand.
"So, it's true you did survive." Gendo said as he didn't seem to care that his old teacher was bleeding out nearby.
"That's right Commander and I'm here for the Iron Kaiser." Rei-Omega said as she clearly was insane no longer thinking straight. She was like a rabid animal with only one goal in mind to finally kill the Skull Robot, Kaiser.
"And why should I hand it over?" Gendo asked while glaring at the Rei clone that had gone completely insane.
"I need to kill the Skull Robot!" Rei-Omega yelled and thus Gendo just stood there for a moment in silence. He already intended to use Iron Kaiser to deal with the Skull devil if Unit-13 could not. If he went this route this would increase his odds of destroying Kaiser. Destroy Kaiser and ensure the Fourth Impact begins without Kaiser.
Gendo then gestured to the side as he spoke to Rei-Omega once more. "Right this way." Gendo said and thus Rei-Omega licked her lips in sadistic anticipation for her robot.
(The battle in Termina Dogma)
Asuka was still fighting Unit-13 who was taking steps back while using its bits to block Asuka's attacks. "Fucking AT-Field!" Asuka snarled as she tried to break through those machines. Just then Kaiser's Tornado Crusher flew in and just as Asuka attacked the fists came and grabbed the bits before crushing them allowing Asuka through. Unit-13 blocked the attack before Kaiser's fists returned and were used to land a powerful hook against the enemy EVA.
"Asuka listen!" Shinji called out through the speakers. "You and Kaiser need to destroy this EVA with me inside it, it's the only way!" Shinji called out knowing his life was nothing in the face of humanity facing possible extinction.
"Like hell we'll kill you!" Asuka yelled back refusing to let Shinji go out like this. "Stop being the sacrificial brat you've done enough self-sacrificing crap to last a lifetime!" Asuka yelled as she once more moved in, to attack. "Skull psycho's on me!" Asuka yelled and thus Kaiser drew the Ganzanto.
"Right! Let's tear off this things limbs!" Akira called out as he and Kuzo were ready to fight.
"Asuka listen my life isn't worth it you need to make the killing blow!" Shinji yelled as this titanic battle began once more in earnest. The bits moved and blocked an attack from Kaiser, but Unit-13 dodged an attack from Asuka forcing the bits to move again. With only two AT-Field projectors left Unit-13 was doing what it could to hold off its attackers while it moved towards Lilith's corpse.
"And I'm telling you that you don't get to take that way out!" Asuka countered refusing to let Shinji die just so an ungrateful world can survive. "Your coming home with us or no one is going home!" Asuka yelled refusing to leave Shinji here.
"Asuka…" Shinji trailed off as he saw Asuka was risking everything to save his life. Why doesn't she understand if Shinji keeps living then Impact was still a horrifying possibility.
(Back over on the Wundur)
The monitoring of the mission was continuing as everyone heard what was being said down below. "The kid really is a victim." Shigeru said shocked over what Shinji said.
"Shinji-kun…" Misato said shocked over how far Shinji was willing to go to stop Fourth Impact. This became another reminder of how she had wronged Shinji who just kept sacrificing himself for the sake of others.
But just then alarms began to blare as this got the crews attention. "Statues report!" Ritsuko called out wanting to hear what was found.
"There's been a massive Energy spike detected!" Sayaka called out and thus they all recalled what Shinji had mentioned to Asuka back when the battle began.
"Is this Iron Kaiser?" Misato asked with clear concern for what may be waking up.
(Back down in Terminal Dogma)
Just then Unit-13 was hit by Kaiser who grabbed the EVA by its neck before using momentum to slam it into the ground. Kaiser then swung the Ganzanto down upon Unit-13 only for the large EVA to roll out of the way and used the Bits to attack. Kaiser blocked the attack with the weapons flat side allowing for Asuka to jump over and continue with a surprise attack upon the enemy EVA before her. Both fighters were forced to hold back in order to try and none lethally bring Unit-13 down for the count.
But before the battle could progress any further the entire cavern began to rumble around them. Bones rattles on the ground as the LCL under the skulls began to ripple. Soon the ground above them broke apart as something forced its way through the ceiling.
The boulders that fell through caught everyone off guard as they were all forced to find cover. Kaiser cleaved through the boulders while Asuka and Miki gathered their EVA's with Kaiser to better defend themselves from the debris falling down. Once the chaos of the cave in began to subside that was when things took a turn for the worse.
Coming down from a twister of gravitational energy a shadowed figure hovered down above them roughly the same size as Kaiser. As it hovered down, they all saw it and while most were left confused those with NERV, willingly or by force, instantly recognized it.
"Is that?" Asuka began but Shinji answered for her nearby.
"No, it's Iron Kaiser!" Shinji cried out shocked to see the robot his father blackmailed him with had just arrived.
"So that's Iron Kaiser." Kuzo said as he glared at Iron Kaiser but had a question about something here. "But begs to question who's inside it with all of NERV's pilots out here." Kuzo said as he tried to figure out who was piloting it.
Just then Akira had a shocked look before it turned into a savage smirk. "I know who's inside it." Akira said as he wondered why her corpse was never found. Just then a sadistic laughter echoed from Iron Kaiser as Shinji and Asuka, both recognized it as Rei surprisingly enough.
"Now guess what, time to settle the score, skully." The Burned Rei said as she had a maddening grin now.
"The clone!" Akira called out excited to fight her again. Akira's grin threatened to split his face as he knew a battle was upon them.
(Back over on the Wundur)
"Shit." Misato cursed as she realized that with Iron Kaiser in play and an out-of-control EVA on the loose trying to trigger a Fourth Impact. It was clear that they needed to act fast or else everyone on Earth will die.
"Wundur!" Eve called out as her image appeared on their screen. "I'm moving out to intercept." Eve said as she was ready to launch into battle.
"I'm going with her!" Mari called out as her image appeared next.
"Negative we need time to equip the wings onto your EVA!" Misato said towards Mari, but she then smirked.
"Don't worry I got an alternative." Mari said and in turn alarms blared.
"The SKL RR Hanger is opening!" Sayaka called out and thus it was clear what had happened just now.
(Meanwhile outside of the Wundur)
The bottom hanger bay doors opened and from there the SKL RR fell out before it converted into its Skeletal Pegasus form. Only instead of Kaiser on its back Mari in her EVA was riding it wielding its spear in one hand and the reigns on the other.
"Hope the Hell Hounds won't mind me borrowing this!" Mari called out as she rode down. Soon enough Wingle joined her as the pair flew downward to assist with the battle bellow.
"Stay close and don't fall behind!" Eve ordered as she lead the charge feeling Kaiser was going to need his wings while facing Iron Kaiser.
(Back to the battle bellow)
Kaiser then drew the Ganzanto and pointed it at Iron Kaiser ready to start killing. "We're holding all the cards." Akira said as Kaiser took a battle stance ready to fight. "And now your going down bitch." Akira said with a savage grin adoring his face. "We're going to have fun!" Akira called out and thus Iron Kaiser was ready.
Iron Kaiser's opened up a pair of compartments before pulling out two handles that when combined formed into a double blades spear. Burned Rei began to laugh as she spun the spear in her mechs hands ready to kill Kaiser. "I'll make you grovel and beg for your life you filthy Skull Devil!" Burned Rei called out as Iron Kaiser charged in to fight Kaiser.
"Go on and try it!" Akira called out as Kaiser clashed the Ganzanto against Iron Kaisers spear resulting in a tornado of power between them sending both fighters up high.
Asuka and Miki both saw this but then realized something. "ASUKA!" Shinji called and thus both Asuka and Miki looked and saw that during the chaos Unit-13 had made its way over to Lilith's corpse.
"I'm coming!" Asuka called out as she was about to charge in and try to stop the EVA but was then halted by Rei-Q. "Dammit!" Asuka cursed but then got surprised when Miki tackled Rei-Q.
"Go I'll hold her off!" Miki called out and thus Asuka nodded.
"Thanks." Asuka said and in turn she went running towards Lilith's corpse. "Please Unit-02 be fast enough." Asuka begged as she went after Unit-13 to stop Gendo's plan.
Meanwhile Unit-13 was already beginning its ascension up Lilith's corpse as inside Shinji was panicked. "No! No! No!" Shinji cried out forced to watch as everything fell apart around him.
"It's no use Shinji-Kun." Kaworu said as he looked sadly to the scene. "So long as the Dummy Plug is active… Gendo has control." Kaworu said as his hatred for that Lilin was again ignited.
"No… I can't, I won't let it happen again!" Shinji called out and thus jumped out of his seat and went towards the back of the Entry Plug. "Come on where is it. Where is it." Shinji said feeling around for a hatch to open. "Did he remove the self-destruct?" Shinji asked worried that may be the case for this.
But alas Unit-13 was atop the corpse as it began to make its way towards the two spears. Shinji trying desperately to open the inner workings of the Plug while Asuka was desperately chasing down Unit-13. Soon Unit-13's chest glowed and from in turn produced a second pair of arms. One set of two grabbed one of the identical spears while the other set of two grabbed the other spear.
Shinji saw this, Asuka saw this, and both of them knew what was about to happen. "NOOOO!" They both cried out in terror, but it did nothing for Unit-13 proceeds to pull the spears out. The one thing they were trying desperately to prevent has happened and now it comes.
First Unit-13's eyes flashed red and grew out of its sockets giving off a crimson red glow as they did so. Following this up the EVA's maw opened up releasing a roar similar to Unit-1's. It rose up with the two hands holding the spears spread out as the red glow where its second hands were stored was flashing red. Then the corpse of Lilith grew and bubbled up turning red as Unit-13 hovered in the air before it shrunk down into a crimson red sphere, an Angel's core. Unit-13 then chomped down on it consuming it to do what it was made to do.
They were too late as the violet form turned completely white as the pylons on either side of its body opened up into wings. From those wings halos formed behind it as it then charged upward through the ceiling and into the world above unknowingly taking everyone there with it.
Shinji cried out as he tried to hold on but saw something from the corner of his eye. A creese if he can get it open then maybe he could stop this all at once. Unit-13 however was not one to waste time it seems as it eventually made it to the skies high above. The halos on its back spread outward opening the Gate of Guff as the opening ceremonies for Fourth Impact begin.
Seeing this Shinji was horrified as he knew he was running out of time. "NO!" Shinji cried out as he started kicking the panel and even hitting it to force it to open for him. Fourth Impact was starting, and Shinji had to stop it at even if it meant that he had to die. A massive red spear began to come out from the ground as it went up to join Unit-13 and the Gate of Guff's opening. "Come on open! Open!" Shinji yelled and saw the dents were becoming prominent in his desperation.
Just then Unit-13 was hit and looking to the source Shinji saw that the Wundur had crashed rammed the EVA. Soon enough the Wundur's AT-Field surrounded the EVA and in turn attempted to contain it.
(In the Wundur's Command Deck)
"AT-Field at maximum strength seal the EVA inside it!" Misato called out her orders as they had to lock it up. "All main guns ready salvo load high RP rounds." Misato ordered as she glared at the EVA. "We'll do whatever it takes to prevent a Fourth Impact." Misato said as she glared at Unit-13.
But just as the guns were about to fire several of them exploded from the inside causing all eyes to panic. "What happened?!" Makoto asked shocked that their guns had exploded out of nowhere there.
"Maintenance report!" Misato called out but instead she heard another voice the voice of Ryo.
"Sorry, Captain." Ryo said as Misato was shocked by this.
(Meanwhile in the Maintenance Deck)
The Maintenance deck was in chaos as systems were smashed and machines were tampered with as Ryo was seen on the comms. Several members of the crew were either dead or dying as one of them was hanging from the ceiling by a noose around his neck. Only Midori was alive as she was tied up and gagged as the psychotic boy stood before her.
"Its time for the end of mankind, don't worry though our end will be the beginning of a new species a better more deserving one." Ryo said as he then smirked to this. "Happy Armageddon." Ryo said and in turn hung up and took his leave as outside the door were several dead security teams and Ryo's nearby discarded straight jacket. HE walked over to the nearest escape pod and proceeded to enter and activated the life raft to escape.
(Meanwhile Outside of the Wundur)
As the Wundur began to loose its thrust Unit-13 a straggler Adam was freed as it saw the Wundur falling to the ground bellow. The Iron Maidens were of course forced to stay on board as they couldn't leave the Wundur undefended after this happened.
Nearby the Wingle flew as it observed the devastation that was taking place around it. "This looks bad." Mari said as she realized Ryo had clipped the Wundur before making his escape from the vessel.
"The Wundur is secondary we need to stop the Fourth Impact." Eve said and in turn she looked over to where she knew Akira and Kuzo were fighting Omega and her newly acquired Iron Kaiser. "We need Kaiser's full fury." Eve said knowing Kaiser was their only chance to stop the Fourth Impact from proceeding.
Meanwhile Kaiser and Iron Kaiser were locked in combat Kaiser's Ganzanto clashing against Iron Kaisers spear. Neither mechs were giving opening to the other as they went about their fight. Iron Kaiser then backed off and made a bring it on gesture showing that Rei-Omega wanted more out of Kaiser. Iron Kaiser then jumped back to avoid another strike before its midsection opened up releasing a flurry of rockets upon Kaiser. In response Akira had Kaiser cleave those rockets with the Ganzanto destroying them and causing the rockets to explode.
The attack however was to close for comfort as Akira saw they were in deep trouble right now. "Goddammit where the Hell is the Wingle?!" Akira asked as he came to realize they may have bitten off more than they could chew with this opponent.
Asuka watched from the ground bellow as Mari on the SKL RR was flying across the sky. The girl was taking out any of NERV's left over EVA' that she came upon with the spear. Mari wasn't sure how but even she could understand that Kaiser was the only one that can handle this fight.
"Dammit Jun you smug bitch." Mari cursed realizing that Jun may have been right about Kaiser from the very beginning.
Meanwhile Kaiser and Iron Kaiser were on a large boulder that was almost a mountain as it hovered across the sky due to Fourth Impact. Akira roared out as Kaiser slammed its Ganzanto on the ground cleaving the rock in two, but Iron Kaiser easily avoided its rivals attempted attack. Kaiser fell between the two halves but as it did Iron Kaiser moved at blinding speed and stood in Kaiser's way. Rei-Omega roared in fury as Iron Kaiser's chest gave off a crimson glow causing Kaiser to stop as an unseen force of gravitational fury was crushing it. Kaiser fell to the ground from this attack as it had enough force to create a crater from when Kaiser crashed down into the zone.
"What in the Hell was that!?" Akira asked as he was caught off guard by that attack.
"That was a graviton reactor." Jun was heard as everyone was surprised by this.
"Dr. Fudo!?" Kuzo asked shocked to hear her voice.
(Jun's lab on the Wundur)
After the explosion Jun was already hard at work scanning and studying Iron Kaiser intently. She had done a scan on Iron Kaiser and had found the source of this new mechs power. "A Gravitational Reactor is high volatile and was experimental when I was developing Kaiser." Jun said as she was typing away on her computer. "Because of this Iron Kaiser has more power then our Kaiser." Jun said before chuckling to herself here.
'So Gendo you finally admit that my project Kaiser was superior to Yui's Project E from the beginning, why else would you create your own Kaiser?' Jun mused as she got to work on devising a plan to stop Iron Kaiser and the Fourth Impact. 'Unfortunately, Gendo you've given me the perfect excuse to finally test out Kaiser's Eden Drive.' Jun said with a grin of madness for what was to come in the battle between Kaiser and Iron Kaiser.
(Back to the Kaiser Battle)
Just then the horns on either side of Iron Kaiser's head began to glow giving off an electrical current before sending it at Kaiser. The current grabbed Kaiser by the horns and began to fling him around smashing him into anything and everything it saw.
Rei-Omega laughed sadistically as she made her nemesis suffer just as she did. "What's the matter Skull Boy done already!?" She taunted as she continued her attack with Iron Kaiser.
"We're getting our asses handed to us!" Akira cried out as they were in trouble.
"Eve, we need the Wing Cross deploy it now!" Kuzo called out as it was their only chance to change the tides in this fight.
(Back with Eve and Mari)
The two hovered in the air when they heard this and thus Eve knew what to do. "Alright I'll deploy the Wing Cross from a high altitude to avoid the special disturbances from the Fourth Impact." Eve said as she plotted her course. Once she was ready, she began to move as Mari got out of the way to give Eve some space to deploy.
The Wingle then flew straight upward flying through the sky which turned red from the Fourth Impact event that was slowly spreading. Once she got high enough, she used a burst of speed and broke the sound barrier before she pierced the sky above her. Once Wingle was in position she stopped and got ready to deploy the Wing Cross.
Under the command of Eve Wingle flew down targeting Kaiser who was pinned down by Iron Kaiser. Asuka saw the Wingle from the ground and knew Kaiser was about to flip the board once again. Wingle was going so fast she was starting to heat up from a makeshift re-entry.
Once she was close enough Eve was ready to deploy. "Tiara Ale and Arsine Guard, Release!" Eve invoked and thus Wingle's wings and rear guard detached and once more combined to form the Wing Cross. The Wing Cross flew through the current that Iron Kaiser used to hold Kaiser breaking the link and freeing Kaiser.
"It's the Wing Cross!" Kuzo called out when he saw Kaiser's wings had finally arrived.
"Right!" Akira called out and thus Kaiser threw the Ganzanto at Iron Kaiser. Iron Kaiser used his speed to avoid the attack but then Kaiser charged at the Ganzanto and used it as a springboard to launch himself upward. While midair the Wing Cross flew in and attached to Kaiser's back turning his remaining azure eye topaz yellow with the lost eye flashing red also.
Kuzo looked at the screen of his part of the cockpit and smiled at the results. "Good its still accepting our commands." Kuzo said with a smirk on his face.
"Didn't you know we had this ace up our sleeve?" Akira asked wondering if Eve failed to see this when they had used it against the Angel a while back.
Rei-Omega scoffed to this as for her this just made things more interesting. So, in response Rei-Omega decided to take off the kid gloves and really cut loose. "IRON TORNADO!" Rei-Omega invoked and in turn Iron Kaiser released a powerful stream of winds from his facial grill towards Kaiser.
"RUST STREAM!" Kuzo responded as Kaiser fired off tornado power at Iron Kaiser. The two wind attacks met and held each other off for a bit before the powers melded and cancelled each other out with an explosive blast of energy.
Kaiser flew out of the smoke and went to get some distance between himself and Iron Kaiser. Iron Kaiser burst out as well and gave chase to Kaiser before they flew high to the sky and continued their clash. With each strike a blast of energy showed their forms as the two continued to fight to the death.
On the ground Wingle watched with Asuka and Miki as they saw Kaiser and Iron Kaiser were now evenly matched, a stalemate. The ground then shook again as they looked and saw Fourth Impact was not halting.
"It's getting worse." Eve said as she pulled up her screen and began to punch in the numbers.
"There has to be something we can do." Miki said worried about how this battle would end.
"Wonder Spawn what are you doing!?" Asuka asked noticing how Eve has gone quiet here.
"I have an idea, but I need to run the numbers first." Eve said as she tried to concentrate.
"The Wundur!" Miki cried out when she saw Rei-Q and an Adam Host approaching the Wundur. "We have to stop them." Miki said as Asuka knew that the girl was right.
Glancing over to Unit-13 Asuka knew that Shinji was short on time as is. She knew he had to be trying to retake control and if she was right, he was probably trying to force open a panel inside the Entry Plug and start pulling out any random wire inside.
"Let's go." Asuka said and thus they got moving over to where the Wundur was.
(The Battle of the Kaisers)
Iron Kaiser's hands converted into a pair of gatling guns which were then used to open fire upon Kaiser. Kaiser easily avoided those attacks before he drew its Breast Triggers and had them switched to their beam mode for ammunition.
"Pulse Beam Mode fully charged!" Kuzo said as he smirked at Rei-Omega and Iron Kaiser. "So now where would you like to be shot?" Kuzo asked but Rei-Omega was not having it from the gunslinger.
"Screw you!" Rei-Omega called out as she fired upon Kaiser who in response returned fire.
The two mechs went at each other and began to duke it out trading blows and gunfire as they tried to one up the other. They flew downward as they continued to fight each other intent on destroying the other. They then parted ways and glared at each other both mech sizing each other up.
"You're a tiny bit better then I expected clone." Akira taunted as he grind sadistically at Rei-Omega and her mech.
"This is Eve, the Wundur is down, and the Fourth Impact is showing no signs of stopping." Eve said as Akira heard this with Kuzo.
"If we don't stop it soon the Earth is doomed!" Eve added telling the guys to finish their battle.
"AND WHO THE HELL GIVES A FUCK!" Rei-Omega called out and got ready to send out her next attack at Kaiser. "SMASHER PUNCH!" Rei-Omega invoked launching Iron Kaisers right arm at Kaiser in a fist.
"Stop copying us!" Akira called out with his own attack ready. "TORNADO CRUSHER!" Akira called out firing off Kaiser's right arm and met Iron Kaiser's fist head on fist to fist. The two attacks struggled against each other for a moment until Kaisers arm began to spin propelling it forward knocking Iron Kaisers fist aside.
As Kaisers arm tried to grab at Iron Kaiser only for Iron Kaiser's spikes to deploy revealing it also had a Pilder like Kaiser did. More Spikes shot out from where it connected to Iron Kaiser before it flew directly at Kaiser. "Here I come!" Rei-Omega called out and was about to hit Kaiser in his Skull Pilder.
Just then the eyes glowed red before the Skull Pilder ejected from Kaiser leaving both mechs hovering in the sky awaiting their pilots to reconnect and continue fighting.
"Dumbass there was no need to launch our Pilder too!" Kuzo snapped as he glared at Akira for doing that.
"Sorry I got carried away." Akira said with a grin on his face. "But now you get to see how good I am in a dogfight!" Akira called out as Skull Pilder flew around towards the Iron Pilder flying about. Rei-Omega opened fire first on Skull Pilder who thanks to Akira's flying managed to avoid the attack coming her way. The two Pilders then flew into a chasm red from the Third Impact as they continued their sky battle.
Iron Pilder was still firing but was not making any successful shots on Skull Pilder. During this the duo heard back from Eve on her side.
"I found a way to stop the Fourth Impact." Eve said as she heard this.
"Oh, did you now?" Akira asked as he felt Eve was taking too long with her plan to stop this. "I don't have time to hear it so tell it to Kuzo!" Akira said as he had to focus on the dogfight, he was in.
"This is Kuzo I'm all ears." Kuzo said ready to hear what Eve had devised. During this Akira fired off a rocket at Iron Pilder which opened up and released several smaller rockets that all hit their target. But alas Skull Pilder was shown unharmed by the attack in question. "Come on hurry and say it!" Kuzo called out as they needed to hear this.
(Meanwhile over with the Wundur)
Eve, Miki, and Asuka had arrived at the Wundur and were in the midst of defending it with the Iron Maidens against the Adam Host. Eve had to pause as she needed to find the right way to explain this. "The plan involves creating proverbial black hole." Eve said as she explained the situation. "The Fourth Impact is causing special anomalies we require a gravitational force to cause it to collapse in on itself." Eve said as she looked to her controls. "And at the moment Iron Kaiser is the only one with that sufficient Gravitational power." Eve said as this only meant one thing.
"Wait back up that sounds like a suicide run." Asuka said as the Wundur crew heard this insane plan as well.
(Back on the Wundur)
"Ritsuko Fudo." Misato said as she looked to Ritsuko and to Jun via a computer screen on the command deck.
"In theory it should work but doing so could kill anyone and everyone in range." Ritsuko said as Jun nodded to this.
"But it will prevent Unit-13 from being destroyed and allow for us to contain it." Jun said as this as good news for Misato as it gave her a chance to rescue Shinji. But this plan required someone to go on a suicide run and Misato couldn't bare to watch anyone close to her doing that a third time. First her father did it and then Kaji did it 14 years ago.
"Sounds like a plan." Kuzo suddenly said much to everyone's shock.
(Back outside of the Wundur)
"Wow back up are you nuts!? Eve is practically asking you guys to go kill yourselves!?" Asuka called out shock that Akira and Kuzo were ok with this suicide run.
(Back over at the Dogfight)
Skull Pilder flew up a wall with Iron Pilder chasing it down as Akira smirked all the way. "If you're so certain that there's no other way then I guess its fine by us." Akira said as Miki was also shocked about this as well.
"Akira don't do it we'll find another way!" Miki cried out as Akira smirked to this.
"If I don't make it back… look after Miki." Akira said with the upmost confidence in his voice. Thus, it was time to end this battle here and now.
Skull Pilder made a curve turn and began flying directly towards where Kaiser was located. "So, we just have to blow up Iron Kaiser inside the Gate of Guff, right?" Kuzo asked as he smirked at the plan that had been made to stop Iron Kaiser and the Fourth Impact.
"We have a lot more fun blowing the shit out of something then just turning it off." Akira announced as he just loved this plan.
(On the Wundur's Command Deck)
The Command Deck crew all looked to each other despite the chaos outside they all saw where this was going. "Ritsuko what are their chances of survival?" Misato asked as she grew quiet.
"The same as when Shinji first boarded the EVA when we met him." Ritsuko said as she knew Misato would remember.
"Oni… the Japanese Devil." Misato said with a smirk on her face. "Alright Kaiser go ahead and Godspeed." Misato announced and thus they can only watch and see what will happen.
(Battle of the two Kaisers)
Skull Pilder was the first to return to Kaiser's crown and when he did his right arm returned to Kaiser. Meanwhile Iron Kaiser did the same and regained his right arm as well. Following this up Iron Kaisers shoulder pieces opened up revealing another weapon.
"ACTIVATE SHOULDER BLASTER!" Rei-Omega called out and fired the attack directly at Kaiser causing him and his pilots some damage.
"Shit that thing hurts like an absolute son of a bitch." Akira cursed as he held on to his controls looking for something to change the tides. His eyes then spotted the Ganzanto right where he left it and in turn Akira had an idea. With a roar of challenge Akira launched Kaiser's right arm towards the Ganzanto and grabbed the weapon by its handle returning it with the arm.
Kaiser then swung the Ganzanto stopping Rei-Omega's attack on them. "That's it that's the last time you get to show off to us you punk ass bitch!" Akira called out ready for the next attack.
"Are you quiet sure about that?" Rei-Omega asked, and she got ready to fire again.
Kaiser raised the Ganzanto to the sky as lightning and thunder began to form in the sky in spite of Fourth Impact covering the sky. The thunder struck and hit Kaiser's Ganzanto and horns like lightning rods for Kaiser's next attack against the Iron Kaiser.
"And now! THOR HAMMER BREAKER!" Akira called out and in turn Kaiser unleashed the full might of the Norse God Thor upon the enemy mech. The two attacks struggled for a moment, but it was Thor Hammer Break that proved to be the winning move. Iron Kaiser was hit, and his Shoulder Blasters were destroyed.
Iron Kaiser struggled to get back up as Rei-Omega refused to surrender to her enemy. "That didn't do a damn thing!" Rei-Omega called out only for Kaiser to land behind Iron Kaiser and grab it by the head. Once Kaiser had Iron Kaiser in his grasp he flew off and carried Iron Kaiser to the center of the Fourth Impact. "Let go of me!" Rei-Omega cried out as she tried to get free, but Kaiser's grip was stone as it even began crushing Iron Kaiser's head from the pressure alone.
"Just calm down and quit you struggling." Akira said as he was excited for this. "The fun is just beginning." Akira said as they flew into the Gate of Guff.
"You guys trying to die!?" Rei-Omega asked as they flew towards the Gate of Guff.
(Meanwhile with Shinji in Unit-13)
Shinji was almost through as he then roared out with a final kick and with it the panel was open revealing the wiring and systems inside. Shinji saw this as did Kaworu as he grew concerned for Shinji.
"Shinji-Kun be careful!" Kaworu called out fearing the worst for Shinji himself. Shinji then grabbed the wires inside and with a mighty yell tore them out not caring what controlled what. The result was the Plug and EVA short circuiting as it was forced into a hard reboot of its systems. Kaworu saw this and knew what he had to do in order to stop the Fourth Impact from ending everything.
The exposed wires however ignited the LCL and thus Shinji cried out in pain from the shocks going through his body. Kaworu acted fast and reached out towards Shinji with all his might. Tabris knew Shinji would not survive such a move so he could only do one thing part with himself so Shinji may live through this new ordeal.
(Meanwhile at the Wundur Battle)
Miki and Asuka were facing off the remains of the false Adam host as it tried to take the Wundur from them. Since Kaiser had destroyed the original owner of this vessel this left it up for grabs beyond Unit-01. But clearly the fake Adam after it rose was not some easy foe to best as Miki and Asuka tried to fight it off.
"Dammit." Asuka cursed as the enemy EVA moved in for the attack on Asuka who blocked it. Miki then came in and gave it a kick before launching its guns at it once more.
"Are you ok, sempai." Miki asked with concern for Asuka.
"Thanks for the assist rookie." Asuka said with a smirk on her face seeing Miki had potential. They then heard movement and saw the enemy EVA was getting back up to fight. It then launched itself directly onto the Wundur and in turn began producing halos of its own to begin the merge with the Wundur.
"No!" Asuka called out as she then aimed her arm gun and opened fire on the enemy EVA. But the shot only pushed it off as it began to release its innards onto the massive vessel. "Shit! Rookie stay with the Wundur I need to deal with this." Asuka said and thus she charged towards the Wundur to take out the invader trying to take it.
"Changing modes!" Asuka yelled and in turn her EVA jumped to the sky towards the enemy unit. Her EVA's restraint armor came undone with cylinders shooting out of its back. Following it up her EVA's maw snapped open as Asuka felt the painful fury coursing through her from her EVA.
Once she landed on the Wundur she went directly at the enemy EVA intent to take it down. Getting close enough to start tearing into it forcing it off of the Wundur. Rei-Q for her part was attempting to fight back and managed to fling the beast mode Unit-02 off of her. The EVA landed and was not done just yet as it began to transform even further becoming more animal like then before. Roaring out Unit-02 went on the attack.
The Adam Vessel tried to attack only for its first attack to be caught by the EVA's maw and the second attack to be swatted away but Unit-02. Once she got close, she began tearing the Adam Vessels neck out and was able to do so leaving Rei-Q with only one option left. She was rejected by Shinji, her previous self, had gone rogue, and her EVA was lost. She had nothing and thus she took the only option left she ejected her plug and fled the battle.
"Good riddance!" Asuka yelled having enough of this Cloning crap to last her a lifetime. "Now you fucking Adam Vessel, I'm sending you to Hell so keep my kid and his friend company as they tear you apart!" Asuka yelled in a spur of the moment as she opened fire directly into the Plug to end its life. But when she did that the Adam Vessel only died briefly before it reformed much to Asuka's shock.
"Shit… the entire thing is a core." Asuka said and then looked to her energy levels. "I'm out of time. I'm sorry Unit-02 but we got to leave the rest to Kaiser!" Asuka called out and in turn she pulled the eject button on her EVA. What followed was a timer going off and in turn Unit-02 going off in a blaze of glory taking the Adam Vessel straight down to Hell with it.
(Meanwhile at outside to the battle)
Kaiser flew into the Gate of Guff as Iron Kaiser's chest plate came off revealing the Gravity Engine inside it. During the trip Kaiser's right eye socket glowed red and was seemingly absorbing the chaotic energy from the Fourth Impact. "I'm not finished yet!" Rei-Omega called out as she tried to hold on so she can continue to fight Kaiser.
"Oh, shut up already your starting to repeat yourself just like a parrot." Akira said as they flew toward the Gate of Guff. "You've died so many times already who cares who goes first gambling on this will be fun!" Akira called out as he was grinning sadistically towards annihilation.
"Let's treat ourselves to a boiling pot of HELL!" Kuzo called out before Kaiser thew Iron Kaiser into the Gate of Guff where it was dragged in by the current.
"So, you wanna wait and settle our score in Hell?" Rei-Omega taunted as she looked at Kaiser from her Iron Kaiser's trapped position.
"Heaven Hell whatever enjoy it because your already in Hell!" Akira said as he was ready to end Rei-Omega and her Iron Kaiser once and for all. To make extra sure that it stayed put Kaiser threw the Ganzanto into Iron Kaiser stabbing him in his Gravity Engine to compromise the core. Rei-Omega cried out in pain as she felt the backlash of the exposed Gravity Core.
"Damn you! Damn you fucking Devils!" Rei-Omega roared in fury as she knew her end was now, she will die.
Kuzo smirked for a moment longer before he unleashed his final attack on Rei-Omega. "INFERNO BLASTER!" Kuzo invoked and from Kaiser breastplate the Inferno Blaster was unleashed upon Iron Kaiser and the Gate of Guff. The blast was so powerful it had even pushed Kaiser back with its powerful force.
Just as Eve had predicted earlier the compromised Gravity Core erupted and thanks to the unstable force of the Gate of Guff punched another rift in reality itself a Black Hole. Of course, the two rifts could not exist simultaneously for one absorbed and the other spat out. The two ended up doing the only thing that could occur the Black Hole consumed the Gate of Guff while the Gate of Guff welcomed the Black Hole. The two rifts collided and just then Unit-13 was seen stabbing itself with the Lances. With all this happening a blast of energy radiated across the sky above blinding everyone who bore witness to hit and blasting anyone within the blast winds away also.
The last thing seen before being consumed by light was Akira and Kuzo both grinning at what was happening now. Outside the Gate of Guff Unit-13 began to fall to the ground with the spears still trapped inside it before Shinji's Entry Plug was seen ejecting from it flying towards the ground where it crashed.
(Scene Break Several Hours after the battle)
The entire Fourth Impact event had collapsed as the battle was one in WILLE's favor. As everything began to slow down the skies cleared as Miki looked to the scene from where she was as she came too. Kaiser had done it again but as WILLE was cleaning up they managed to retrieve Mari and Miki with their EVA's, SKL RR, and the remains of Unit-02 from it.
In the meeting room Misato and Ritsuko were discussing what had happened during the chaos. "WE won for now." Ritsuko said as Misato was silent through all of this. "Misato, we stopped the Fourth Impact that's all that matters." Ritsuko said and thus Misato scoffed.
"But at what cost?" Misato asked and thus Ritsuko turned away for a moment.
"We can try and salvage the Shikinami Clones see if we can restart it and." Ritsuko began only to suddenly find Misato's gun at her forehead.
"Don't even go there." Misato said as she glared at Ritsuko. "You may be my second, but I'm done sacrificing my morals to attain victory." Misato said as she glared at Ritsuko promising she will pull the trigger if she mentions the Shikinami Clones again. Misato lowered her gun and walked to the nearby window that was observing the retrieval. "Now change the subject how goes recovery?" Misato asked to which Ritsuko sighed a bit.
"Mari's EVA has suffered damages but can be recovered, Asuka's EVA had suffered the worse of it, Miki and her EVA are currently the ones who suffered the least damage." Ritsuko said as Misato nodded to this.
"What about Kaiser and Wingle?" Misato asked as she looked to the woman.
"We haven't found them yet, but chances are Kaiser may have been destroyed." Ritsuko said as she had to admit Akira and Kuzo had a lot of nerve doing that.
"No… keep an ear out… for some reason I don't think that was enough to do them in." Misato said and thus Ritsuko nodded to this.
"IF Asuka survived, she'll probably be heading to Village-3 as we speak." Ritsuko said as that was their best hope for the girls survival. "But do you think she'll have calm down with her threat to us?" Ritsuko asked and thus Misato smirked to this.
"Ritsuko… we've already signed our death warrants." Misato said making it clear she knew that Asuka will, carry out her revenge against them both. "Our only option is to get our affairs in order and let her come." Misato said knowing that she and Ritsuko had it coming for their lies to Asuka and her life. Ritsuko didn't like this, and she refused to let it end like that. "What about Ryo any signs of him?" Misato asked wanting to know if Ryo can be found after he escaped.
"None we've found his escape pod, but he's covered his tracks." Ritsuko said and thus this meant Ryo could be anywhere at this point.
"Keep looking I shutter to think what he's doing out there." Misato said fearful for what Ryo was going to do. More so since he's compatible with Kaiser like Akira is.
(Scene Break NERV Gendo's office)
"So… it would seem that I have truly underestimated the threat Kaiser poses to us." Gendo said as he was upset but hid it well. He sat behind his desk taking his signature pose as he and Fuyutsuki talked.
Speaking of Fuyutsuki he was standing on a platform as both were in a darkened room right now. "More so then that, I doubt Shinji will be swayed by your tactics a second time." Fuyutsuki said from a platform after getting his stab wound from Rei-Omega tended to.
"We will have to adjust, what of Unit-13?" Gendo asked as they had the awakened EVA.
"We secured it but its been severely damaged by Kaiser." Fuyutsuki said displaying images of Unit-13 as the destruction of Iron Kaiser and the Gate of Guff had caught the EVA in the crossfire severely damaging it.
"This does not bode well for any of us." Gendo said as they lost Kaworu and Rei-Q during the battle. "We need EVA pilots, and we can't risk the Ayanami series less we have another Omega on our hands." Gendo said only for the door to opened drawing their attention.
"Perhaps I can be of assistance." Ryo said as he entered the room.
"Wait I know you." Fuyutsuki said recognizing Ryo from the talks with Slum King when he lived.
"What do you think you can offer?" Gendo asked and in turn Fuyutsuki tossed a flash drive to Gendo which landed on his desk without it falling off. "Those are the schematics for Kaiser's prototypes." Ryo said as he had stolen it before leaving WILLE. "Sometimes the best way to fight a Devil is with a God." Ryo said as he looked to Gendo. "I want Impact to happen the same thing you want… so I'm offering myself up as a pilot." Ryo said as he made it clear he was going to see Impact through to the end.
Gendo looked at Ryo for a moment longer before deciding. "I'm listening." Gendo said offering Ryo a chance to prove himself useful to the man's scenario.
(Scene Break Asuka location unknown)
Asuka woke up with a start as she rose up in her Empty Entry Plug. "Shit." Asuka cursed as she cursed herself and a murderous headache from which she was suffering. Rising from her plug she opened the emergency hatch and allowed natural light to filter in. Rising from her plug Asuka saw she was somewhere out on the Red Earth.
"Great." Asuka cursed and then jumped down but when she did, she looked at her now torn Plug Suit. "What the fuck did my suit shrink?" Asuka asked as she noted several tears in her plug suit. But then her eye went to the reflective surface of her Entry Plug and then gasped at what she saw. "What the fuck!?" Asuka cried out as she looked and saw that she was not looking at her 14-year-old face from the Curse of EVA she was looking at a full blown 28-year-old version of herself.
Looking at herself Asuka tried to figure out what had happened and how did this happen. But first she had other things to worry about. Looking nearby Asuka saw another crash site and a few ideas as to who it was.
(Later)
Asuka after trying to readjust to her bodies sudden growth arrived at another Entry Plug and heard what sounded like someone hitting metal inside. Climbing up she opened the emergency hatch and looked inside to see who it was.
When Asuka saw who was inside, she wasn't shocked to see a 28-year-old Shinji now she was shocked at what he was doing. "YOU GODDAMN IDIOT!" Shinji was heard yelling at himself as he punched the wall of the Entry Plug with each word. "You should have seen it coming!" Shinji yelled and sent another punch into the steel. "You idiot you fucking idiot it's all your fault!" Shinji yelled as he kept punching the wall as Asuka actually saw blood stains on it. He then roared in fury and anguish before slamming his head into the wall much to Asuka's shock and concern for him.
"Shinji! Shinji stop!" Asuka yelled as she entered the plug and pulled him away. Shinji then looked at her as he looked ready to break down to cry once again.
"It's my fault I let him play me again." Shinji said as he can't even imagine the number of people dead from the near Fourth Impact because of Gendo's deception. From the looks of it he was trying not to cry and thus Asuka hugged Shinji close to her body.
"Just let it out Shinji don't be me let yourself come undone." Asuka said and with her words Shinji did, so he cried he wept in anguish as he felt it was all his fault. He let Gendo get into his head, he allowed for Gendo to trick him, and he allowed Gendo to trigger the near Fourth Impact.
"Its my fault… its all my fault." Shinji wept as Asuka just rubbed his back letting him have his moment.
'Dammit Shikinami your going soft.' Asuka scolded herself but then again… Shinji wasn't really at fault. Its like he said Gendo tricked Shinji, blackmailed him, and then put a backup in case Shinji tried something. Shinji wasn't at fault for Ryo's actions, he shouldn't be the scapegoat for Gendo's actions, and most of all he shouldn't be forced to suffer because his own father wants to destroy their world.
After about a good hour of this Shinji had calmed down enough to start moving again. He didn't seem mentally broken, but he wasn't the same as he was before physically or emotionally. Jumping down they saw Rei-Q standing there as the pair glared at the clone.
"Great you're here." Asuka growled as Shinji glared at the clone wearing Rei's face. "What do you want?" Asuka asked while glaring at Rei-Q.
"I… have nowhere else to go." Rei-Q said rubbing her arm showing she had been discarded.
"What do you want us to do about it?" Asuka asked as she glared at Rei-Q.
"May I… accompany you?" She requested as Shinji walked off to gather the supplies inside of the Entry Plug.
Asuka sighed a bit before she grabbed her own bag. "Fine… but don't hold us back." Asuka said making it clear she was not going to trust Rei-Q that has to be earned. But as they left the ground began to shake much to everyone's shock. "An Earthquake now!?" Asuka yelled as this day just kept getting better.
"No this isn't natural." Rei-Q said and then it happened. The Red ground broke apart and from it opened into fissures. The group stepped back as the fissures split open to reveal something bellow. First Wingle flew out as she spread her newly returned wings before landing on the ground safely. Following it up was Kaiser as he climbed out of the fissure his azure left eye and crimson right eye flashing to life.
"Jesus do these three always have to make an entrance!?" Asuka asked as she saw the two mechs.
"Did you pansies miss us already?" Akira taunted but then noticed something. "The heck happened to you two?" Akira asked looking at Shinji and Asuka from Kaiser and used the speakers to talk to them.
"I might have a few theories." Eve said as she may have an idea. "But first we need to get out of here." Eve said and thus Akira nodded.
"Fine." Akira said as he first pulled out the Ganzanto and latched it onto Kaiser's back. Following this up Kaiser kneeled down and opened his hand for the three to climb on. "Get on we got a ways to go." Akira said and thus nodding Shinji, Asuka, and Rei-Q climbed onto Kaiser's hand before the robot rose back up. With this they two mechs began to walk making its way towards their intended destination elsewhere.
